I have been coming here for months with over 20+ donations. I have no issues with the people but recently they have changed the policy that you have to make an appointment ahead of time. Not really a problem except when they started it i was told by an employee that there was a list of people that donated 2 times a week and once they made an appointment it would just carry over every week. I work nights and don't have a-lot of time before i have to be asleep. It has been about 5 weeks since they started th
The front staff treat you very poorly and the 'nurse' Emilee with the bob hair and glasses that likes to act as the on staff doctor don't know how to talk to people and is way too ignorant to be speaking on behalf of anything medical. They also don't want to pay you for referrals or new donor fees. They will find issue to say you can't donate, just so you don't get the money. Avoid this location.
The staff is usually always friendly and center is always clean the only thing I can complain about is they seem to always understaffed which leads to very long wait times. This location is going to appointments and I really hope it helps because the wait times are a strong deterrent from donating.
Worst place in Knoxville to give plasma. Go ANYWHERE else. The staff is abusive and treats everyone like they are dirt with the exception of like 2 employees.Slow process and it's inexcusable how they treat people. I'll never be back. The wait time is atrocious. Anywhere else Ive been it's less than 10 minutes. This place is the bottom of the barrel.
Friendly professional and clean. The first time it will take 2 to 3 hours to complete all the steps. Once in the system it's about an hour to complete. Yes they do pay you for donating plasma. You must pass a physical and blood test. Save a life today and donate plasma. ??
This is a pretty good place. Staff are super nice and professional for the most part and the place is clean. When you're there, keep an eye on the staff though to make sure they're changing their gloves frequently enough. I think they probably use powder-free nitrile gloves, which are difficult to put on once your hands sweat a little. Out of roughly 30 visits, I was only a little concerned one time that they weren't changing their gloves enough. They have some staff that are not well trained. One of them
FREQUENT OVERDRAWING FROM STAFF, NEGLIGENT DATA ENTRY. Up front staff typed in incorrect weight on multiple occasions as well as overdrawn plasma repeatedly. This is a huge health hazard and this place needs to be investigated. On most occasions, the amount of plasma drawn varies insanely. Many times I have donated about 700ml of plasma, the next with the same range of weight and conditions, I had to donate about 900ml. Doesn't really make sense since most other centers show you how much they're supposed t
Getting into a chair can sometimes take a while but the facility is clean. JT is THE BEST phlebotomist here, he always gets a perfect painless stick!
Violates FDA regulations on amount of plasma allowed for donation. Machines are not well maintained. Staff is abusive. They put donors' lives at risk for profit. Avoid this center. I add a photo where 1000 grams of donated plasma was taken from a donor when only 800 grams of plasma is the maximum allowed to withdraw for persons over 175 pounds. They can take up to 880 grams if they add the regulated amount of anticoagulant for the weight allowance. Even if they only take 1600 or 1760 grams per week, t
NEISHA , LACE PAIGE , CHELCIE, HUNTER, JULIE ARE THE BEST AROUND THEY RUN THIS FLOOR!!
I'm updating my review to reflect more accurate information. Staff are well manered I suppose. Pretty slow moving facility to be so large. Usually 3 hour turnaround after check in. Maybe more if your technician can't stick you good or any problems arise. 99% of people I seen leave is because of "Dehydration" I've never seen it anywhere else but it's very common here. I hear it almost everyday I'm here. So come hydrated. Best paying place in Knoxville so, deal with what your willing to deal with.
Black lady was extremely rude, no respect at all and is a little aggressive when poking and checking blood pressure. Sick and tired of her blatant disrespect!
What the heck is going on with this place? It's further downhill each time i come. People are spending 2+ hours to get hooked up after screenings?? This place is 100% different than it was a year ago. You are loosing so many loyal people because there are not enough hours in the day for working people to sit and wait hours just to be hooked up. Yall really have to do better.
Amazing and professional atmosphere. The workers are always friendly, kind, helpful, understanding, and very professional. I always have an amazing experience every time I go to donate. Thank y'all for always bringing a smile to my face!
It's not a bad center generally pays better than the other surrounding centers but at the cost of they're slow really slow you best be ready to be in there about 4-5 hours the workers are short staffed and the ones they have are tired from having to carry the load they need 2-3 more workers per shift. It's been this way over a year of me donating here on and off. I'm being real as it gets I like the pay of this center but the service of the others.
So I donated today and I kept having a high pressure return so I spoke up to see if they could fix it, they lady who came to fix it kept trying to feel the needle in my arm I told her whenever she did that that it hurt, she kept doing it over and over about 7 times I couldn't take anymore but it was her unprofessional response and attitude that pissed me off. She stormed away telling another employee that I didn't want her to touch it. First I never said that! What I did say was that it hurt and she became
The staff is awesome. They do what they can. The wait times are atrocious. I came last Sunday was here almost 4 hours. Today I've been here hour and half already. Decided to leave. It's not worth it. I hope they can hire some. I've read the companies replies that they are but nit seeing any new faces. Sad. Just saw they are now closing on Sundays. What the heck!
I have tried to call the ADMA centers in Knoxville and Maryville multiple times with no answer. I have visited the Knoxville location twice in the last two weeks. I was turned away saying they were closed, once when it was 5:05 pm. Today, I rush through rush hour traffic from my job and get to the center in Maryville and after waiting forever and having to call out for multiple times, finally saw a person. She told me that they had stopped taking new donors at 5:30 pm. It wasn't even 5:30 yet, but they coul
The heavy set black lady up front is extremely rude. Why would you all keep her? She's the face of the company. One of the first people you interact with. I would get more personable people up front if y'all want donors to keep coming back.
Compared to other biocenters, this place has faster machinery and is much nicer in terms of decor and privacy when donating. However, the phlebotomists will go to the ?restroom? for 15 minutes at a time while there are 6 patients sitting on their phones waiting to get stuck. You would think that there would be enough helpers in order to get the people that work a 9-5 and swing by before closing, and get them out the door so the workers can go home as well, but this is not the case. Whether it be poor manage
I donate regularly at the ADMA plasma center and wanted to share my ongoing experiences. Generally, the staff processes donors efficiently, and a 2? hour wait time is quite reasonable, especially considering the compensation per hour, which is often higher than what many donors earn at their jobs. However, there are areas that could use improvement. Some staff members display unprofessional behavior, often talking loudly throughout the facility. Additionally, getting information over the phone has been cha
I went to donate last week and sat in the waiting room for 2 1/2 hours before I just crossed my name off the waiting list and left. Even after 2 1/2 hours, I still had eight people ahead of me on the wait list. Only about six people were called back in the time I waited. This kind of wait is totally unacceptable. What they are paying for my time definitely does not compensate me for my time. I am looking at other locations in the Knoxville, TN area to donate because it does not look like it's going to
I have had a great experience at this location. Staff has been helpful with any questions during registration and check in for donations. I have not had any issues with being stuck. I have experienced other companies that do not train their staff in phlebotomy and had them dig in my arm trying to find the vein. Terrible to experience, which is why I've been returning to this location. Rate is good, but wish it was higher with what's involved for the compensation. Highly recommend over the other companies.
Terrifying. I went to this place back in June of this year. This photo is how my arm looked 10 days after visiting. After TWO other nurses could not feel my veins, the phlebotimist Stephanie still claimed she felt it and went to work. Not even 2 minutes after she stuck the needle in my arm did my arm begin to swell like a balloon when it began its first round of pushing the blood back into my arm. The 2 other phlebotimists had to tell Stephanie to stop the process!! Otherwise, it seemed like she planned to
I've donated at every plasma center in Knoxville, and Gridols, CSL, and Octapharma all have wait times less than 30 min. Be prepared to wait at least 1 hour, often longer. the pay is only marginally better, but is absolutely not worth the exchange in wait time unless you are a new donor receiving the new-donor bonuses
Yesterday was my 4th visit still had a long wait due to so many donors ahead of me, but some of the staff are friendly the only negative was they only put half of my donors fee on my card after he told he would by the end of the day. Called in this morning will see if they stand by what they say. If there was add to the experience it would be for the staff to try to be a little nicer . Good experience other than the money issue.
This place is very unprofessional and becomes aggressive when you tell them you don't want them to dig in your arm. They start to use scare tactics thinking that is people only option for money!! People come in they want to feel your center is trained properly and not have to argue about informing them of your preference? if consumers didn't donate there would be no plasma centers. So why you aggressive scare tactics!!! I was literally told I'm so many ways shut up or you not going to donate but when he se
Great staff and a nice clean place. However the wait time to donate is ridiculous. I arrived at 730 am today and there were two people in the lobby. An hour and a half later I'm still waiting to donate. This is not a good way to encourage people to donate
Overall great! There was a small delay getting in today (only time I've encountered such an issue) because their printer malfunctioned but once they had everything back working how it's supposed to they got through the line really quick. quieter and quicker overall compared to CSL. If you decide to commute via e-scooter be sure to check if there's a place to keep it during your donation because e-scooters are not allowed on the donor floor.
Man I'm going tell you what this plasma center they are so damn slow I don't understand why ok they have people that work there that stand around do nothing but talk about there life or what they have got going on at home with there life ok they really need to stop standing around and do there job ok they wait so long to call someone back to even start to do plasma it should not take each person over 2 hours to even do plasma ok they are people come here that has jobs has well and they really don't care how
Here's the pay info they won't give you over the phone. Word to the wise the new donor rates are only good for 30 days then you go to the lowball pay. I learned the hard way?
The last few times have been horrible. They open at 7am but then some days they require you to sign a sign-in sheet because they only have two people working the counter checking your weight and iron while having one person doing the actual plasma withdrawal. Come in at 7:30, you'll be lucky to even use a kiosk by 8 and actually start the process by 10:30 to 11!!
This location is exactly what it seems before you go here I'd recommend Knoxville plasma because these people are uneducated, unprofessional, unlikely to pass a drug test. I talked to I believe the manager Tara she told me I was off the deferral and I go in today and one of the nurses hand me this piece of paper that states all the things I have wrong with me. I've never been asked these questions before and it shocks me how long they even make people wait. Sad place! Poor business! And now not only have
Do not go to this location. They makeup their own rules regarding what time of day they will stop taking new donors. I went in 2 separate days over the past week 2 hours before closing and was told they had already cut off taking new donors. They told me this after I stood up front at the counter for 15 minutes. The website states they stop taking new donors 90 minutes before closing, not 120 minutes or more depending on how they feel that day. Go to CSL, they are awesome!
I've been a regular donor to Adma for some time now. It never ceases to amaze me that it take 2 1/2 to 3 hours to actually get in and out of this place. Very rarely am I able to be in and out in less than 2 hours, it all stems from the vast amount of people that come here, and how short-staffed it is. I used to go to Knoxville Plasma and I could be in and out in an hour and a half on average. This was mainly due to them having people sign in by appointment blocks, which made the processing of donors more of
I usually wait at least an hour to be seated by a phlebotomist. Most of the phlebotomist are pretty good and the pay is good but the customer service is horrendous wait times are huge and they threaten to defer a lot. Most of the time I feel as though I'm bothering the staff. All I wanna do when I go in there is do my donation and get out as fast as I can.
Awful. If you value your time and money just go to Octapharma. Constantly have to wait 2+ hours. Never pay you what you're supposed to receive. I was told they would add $50 at the end of the day, so I checked 2 days later and still didn't have it. I then called and spoke with a rude feminine-voiced boy who told me I would probably not receive it seeing as I called 2 days later? overall just not worth the hassle. Hire some new faces, train them on phlebotomy, and get your stuff together. P.S. a year ago I
Nice place but it takes FOREVER to donate now unless you're in there the moment they open. I'm there 2-3 hours minimum every time now and it has become not worth the amount they're paying anymore. They won't even offer a bonus for the ridiculous wait.
I have been going here for about two weeks now. ADMA staff is very friendly and the service is fast. I have been to others and you are often there for more than two hours or more. I go here and I'm in and out in about an hour. The place is very clean and love that the machine's are up to date and faster. I will continue going here and would recommend others as well. They also just started a new loyalty donor program.
Everytime I come to this facility every employee is always on their phone. These actions are Extremely disrespectful and unprofessional . These young adults are so addicted to their phones they can't last a shift without it.
I have been a donor here for a year now. Staff is friendly and very informative. If your levels are off, they give you tips to fix it. The donation chairs don't feel cramped next to each other, it's very clean, and they know exactly what I need to make sure I'm comfortable and don't have a reaction. I stay with ADMA as an ongoing donor instead of being a new donor at other places because the trust I have here is worth it. :)
Staff is nice but manning needs attention, been waiting 2.5 hours, only one person capable of taking plasma, I'm guessing that they don't let you do the kiosk until their ready to keep the wait time shown on the books low, when in fact customers are having to wait excessive amounts of time. I'm a returning donor, don't know when this went downhill but it's bad, really bad
I read the negative reviews/comments and felt weary about trying this center out, but wanted to form my own opinion. I'm not sure why there are so many negative comments, truly. This was my first time donating plasma (ever) and I had a great experience. The facility was clean, all the staff I interacted with were friendly, and I was in and out in a little over 2 hours. I highly recommend this place if you're wanting a good experience!
Mu name is Debra loveday ok I went to leave samples at this place and I waited on them to come back ok they called me told me I was good to come back ok well I drove all the way over there to go do plasma ok and they put me in the system it was low after it was good and they said they couldn't fix it that day it's messed up because it's a long drive for me to come all way over there to do plasma and they gave me a $5 on my card said sorry for the inconvenience no it's wrong they call me tell me I can come b
A nice lady in the beginning said we could eat in the waiting room since it was an hour since I ate and I went next door and got me and my mom some protein snacks. Anyways, my mom accidentally dropped her soda pop on the floor I told her don't open it she tapped the bottle thinking it was okay and it went over her bottle anyway she is disabled mentally challenged and the one staff that is a black female didn't get her name but would like to was disrespectful of my mother I'm not happy considering I'm a firs
I love the people that work here. But we should get paid wait time. The waits here are ridiculous!!Erika Paige and Christy are three of my favorite phlebotomists here they work really hard as well as all of the other staff members. They make you feel welcome and apart of the ADMA Knoxville family.
It's a great place the employees are great! How ever I'm a 2 time new donor and didn't receive my full payment I was told that it would be loaded onto my card and it's still not been sent and it's been 3 days I try to call several of times I couldn't get an answer so I went back to the site and was told that the system was down I just feel I did my part so I should get my pay.
The first time I donated was fine, the facility is nice and clean. The second time I was told my protein was low so they had to take sample. Two weeks later I get my results but, in the mean time I kept getting calls asking me to come in to donate. I finally came back to give another sample and I have been waiting over an hour for samples only. I understand being short staffed but why keep calling asking for donations if you don't have the staff to take care of the donors?
I would have left 5 stars and I may come back and update after visiting again. Let me start by saying this was a scary experience and I'm thankful I choose ADMA to donate through. We had our first appt and when I called that morning no one told us we needed an appt we just got lucky and they had a cancellation. The first visit was over the moon amazing it was a Saturday, the senior tech did a wonderful job with my nerves and walking me through it all. I wish I could say the same for our ?2nd visit? we didn?
ADMA is a good center to go to. The employees work hard and make sure that everyone is safe. They are pleasant to be around even though sometimes it does get backed up and goes slow. I definitely recommend coming to ADMA if you are wanting to donate. They take donor safety very serious.
Lovely staff but unfortunately there isn't enough of them. Still a very clean and professional establishment.
This place isn't professional it's good and ratchet frfr. These people have more attitudes than a little bit. They don't carry themselves as professionals. They pick and choose who they belong nice to. Honestly I don't understand why these people are still in business when most of them don't even conduct themselves professionally. The people that are in the front talk about donors very bad and most of them in the back have MAJOR attitudes and aren't professional at all.....I ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT RETURN TO TH
The facility is nice and their staff is courteous. There are rarely ever enough people scheduled though. I've donated about five times here now and every time it's 2+ hours.
They are over worked and under staffed. I had a high pressure return twice and nothing was done. Only good person is Ed. He's helpful and knowledgeable. There is no way in hell I should have been donating for 3 hours.
Come in and they don't even open on time. This place is getting to be ridiculous. They take the workers they do have and send em to differ locations due to shortness of staff but yet they have no staff as well. Waste of time and gas They used to give inconvenience fees for times like this but stopped. It's now 7:15 am and doors still not open but yet the staff is here . They should just shut down
Multiple of the staff is very rude. U get a couple that are very sweet but because I had a bruise on my arm they asked what happened I told them an then they asked again an I look puzzled an they said very rudly stated well how was I suppose to know an walked away very rude staff. If u don't like your job just quit don't be rude for nothing. I put a fake smile on til I left. First visit terrible second terrible.
My name is Hayden I've been donating at this ADMA location for about a month and I must say it has been fantastic yes sometimes it takes long to get back but no matter where you go your gonna have a wait time but the staff are super friendly and professional
Josie is always nice , has a big smile on every time i come in ? she makes my experience at AMDA enjoyable every time i go in to donate . She's is a very good phlebotomist.
I absolutely love this place! My wife and I have been to Knoxville plasma and CSL plasma and while they are good places ADMA is by far my favorite. I love the privacy of the donation rooms and the ease which I got registered and made my first donation. Plus they have wonderfully nice and helpful staff. Not to mention great new donor pay. I recommend highly!
I usually had good experiences with them, until it came time for my 4 month sample. Apparently it came back showing my protein was a little low. But nobody called to tell me, so I showed up for a regular donation only to be informed I would be a sample only, then told that management had tried to contact me and leave a message, but they didn't, and the staff member called my phone and sure enough it went to voice-mail, while management had lied and said my mailbox had been full. I gave my sample and was to
Never trust a company who compensates people for good reviews (They offer additional $ if you choose to post a good review ). 1st impression was great, staff was friendly, & facility was clean. 2nd time I went, there were a lot more people there to donate. Staff were a bit unorganized, I noticed staff going from one patient to the next touching around iv sites without changing gloves or washing hands . I have been an RN for 12yrs & hand hygiene is the basics of patient care & safety. I had to ask the phlebo
Every-time I attempt to use this location it is issue after issue especially with rude staff. I needed to transfer here versus Maryville location due to residing in knoxville now. I was told I am going to get permanently deferred.
I wanted to become a new donor. I had to leave and come back 3 times AND I call the manager so they would take my address verification, I waited 30 minutes just for someone to come to the front desk to assist me. After over 3 hrs I still hadn't been stuck and had to leave. Returned the following day after work to donate and after being there for 45 minutes was told I had to repeat my physical and would have to come back another day due to so due to it being too late for them to do a physical. Very disappoin
I just left your facility. I would've been a first time donor with this particular facility. When I arrived at right about 5pm, there was no one at the front desk. I waited to see if anyone would come to the desk for just a minute, and then I decided to just sign in on the new donor sheet that was on the desk and I took a seat. About 15 minutes later, another 1st time donor came in and the lady at the desk told her they stopped accepting new donors at 5, so I thought I was good to go. So I waited. And waite
This place needs to high more workers one day I went in at 7:45 and waited 4 hours till I was finally able to donate
Really great place with great people! The staff made me feel comfortable and relaxed for my first time here. Kat was really helpful and my screening was a breeze! The place is very clean and nice. Definitely telling friends and family to come
Used to be the best, most friendly plasma center to donate at. Recently, they have been short staffed and whenever you go there to donate it would take you ~3 hrs. In addition, their restroom has been out of order for the last two weeks. My last straw was when I finished donating and asked the phlebotomist to please wrap me up quickly because I need to go the restroom after being in the center for 3 hours 15 minutes, with an out-of-order restroom, and I found out the next time that the supervisor Josh put a
Best plasma Donation center in knoxville. They are clean, fast, friendly ans efficient. Every time I come the staff welcomes you with a smile and makes sure you're good all the time. If time permits they will have a while conversation with you, on a day I came I was so tiredans one of the ladies saw that and started a conversion that lasted my entire visit and it kept me awake and I was able to finish . i keep telling every one to come here. And each has its own TV as well. The place is just wonderful. The st
Clinic is super clean and nice. Mychico(Front Desk) Was extremely helpful courteous and kind definitely an asset. She brings her A game everyday. Overall everyone is nice and courteous. In and out quickly as well
Front desk ladies check in and nurse were great !!!! The lady that TRIED to set my line absolutely should NOT be dealing with the clients. I was told to return my paycard and I would not be paid VERY LOADLY after I told her I couldn't handle the pain from her digging in my arm. She clearly was struggling to even set the line. When I told her that's fine she laughed as I walked away. I had already been thru a 2 hour process to even donate. I've donated before no problem at all at another clinic. But fishing
Absolutely wonderful staff, but horrendous wait times. It usually doesn't take long to get called back for screening but I've waited over 45mins to an hr several times to get stuck. Today, I waited over an hr without getting stuck & ended up having to leave to make it to my other job on time. Im currently working 2 jobs so i dont have a lot of extra time to donate. I'm not sure if they're really short staffed or if they simply don't staff properly, but what little ?free? time I have is very valuable to me &
They don't tell you how much your going to make until your there. How are people supposed to know who offers a better deal? Shady.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
