I've been donating plasma about twice a week since 2020, and out of all the donation centers I've been to, ADMA Maryville is the best by far in every way. The screening staff is caring and wonderful; they always treat me with kindness, respect, and dignity as every human deserves. The phlebotomists are the best I've experienced; out of all of the places I've donated at in the last 5 years, in countless cities and 6 different states, their phlebotomists are by far the best! The nurses speak kindly and in re
Most of the staff is amazing! Lexi and Gracie go above and beyond. They conquered a challenging day with what appeared to be staffing issues with grace, smiles and care. They made all of us clients a priority! Colby also joined them, and they showed amazing teamwork even when a supervisor challenged them to fill more beds! They made safety, and clients a priority. Rockstar staff!
I cannot begin to describe how great this center is! I want to give a special shout out though to Lexi and Gracie! They are gentle when sticking and quick and put you at ease! They do not mind making readjustments if needed and encourage you to speak up if uncomfortable. 100% recommend donating plasma at this specific center!
Very friendly and well trained staff, Colby and Lexy in particular are very professional and have terrific personalitys, they go above and beyond to insure a pleasant experience while donating.
Been twice didnt let me donate either time, first time they wouldnt take my VALID id, and this time wouldnt let me bc of depression a rule that no other donation place has. The ?lady? at the front counter is also far from pleasant, has a hint of attitude behind everything she says
I started donating here over the holiday season. The new donor bonuses are always good. It isn't a bad side hustle for this stay-at-home-mom! Let me start with the positives! The entire staff at this facility is amazing. I haven't had a single negative interaction with any of the workers. I can't name them all here as there are some names I don't know, but they all deserve special recognition! Emma always greets me welcomingly when she does my screening, but so do Kasey, Nathan, and Lark! Colby, Gracie, Br
I love coming here! All of the staff are wonderful. They like to laugh and joke around so it lightens the mood. The wait times are a little crazy at times, so it's better to come when you don't have plans. They did change their hours to accommodate the workers more, which is great for them! Y?all are fantastic!!
Really like this place . Staff is awesome. I'd give 5 stars but giving 3 because , Myself and other donors I have talked with and agree that just because you have special blood and plasma you are already being compensated for it but jumping the line ahead of people who come 45 minutes or more earlier to wait in line isn't a fair practice. When we come early and wait for yall to open is because we work and can't make it after work cus you close, so We get in line before you open , but then those vip will com
They need better equipment I eat healthy and the filter still gets clogged need bigger filters and more comfortable chairs cuz I'm over 300 pounds
VERY kind non-judgemental. Treats everyone the same from ehat I've seen so far. They care about your health and understand you should be paid to do something like this let alone saving lives. This place and the people are wonderful
I have been coming here since they opened and it has steadily gotten worse over the years. Staff is great but there is no urgency. Shouldn't have to wait 2 hours to donate. Also it's ridiculous that RSV donors go ahead of everyone else especially when you have been waiting hours.
I always have a great experience here! I just came by to give a shout out to Kathy today! She's the All-Star of the day for sure! She made sure the facilities were ready for use and well stocked! She made kits for plebotomists because she saw how many donors were waiting and still coming in! She deserves some recognition today for being a team player and taking initiative even if it wasn't "her job"! Go Kathy and thank you ADMA Maryville Team!
My phlebotomist Lexi was super sweet and caring! She talked us through our first time donating. My boyfriend and I went and she stuck us Both she did wonderful! All the staff were so helpful and friendly .
?Earn money fast? on a sign as you enter the building. This couldn't be more of a joke. Severely understaffed, so expect HOURS of wait time. I started coming here when they first opened up and the staff at the time was quick and cordial, nowadays not so much. Not to mention, rude, too. Don't waste your time here.
Just go somewhere else. There is to much to try to explain. Yes, it is that bad! Sad in a year they took a 5 star review and turned it into a 1. I had to edit my review to reflect how thing have changed.
Always a great experience when coming here. Everything runs in a smooth manner. Today, Sara was the phlebotomist who took my blood sample. She was super friendly and made me feel at ease. Xavier and Caitlin were the ones handling the donation bay area, and they always perform in a professional manner. I highly recommend!
I have went to the other plasma centers and Maryville is the best. The staff is all great and love to cut up and have fun to make it more enjoyable. I can't say anything bad about this place. Sara loves to go out of her way to say hi to me when ever I come in. Jacob is nice too and puts up with all kinds of people. I can't just say one person is better than the rest because this is a good crew.
They take forever to assign your pay to your card. Every other plasma center pays you instantly and if you are say, flat broke and need the money from your donation to get gas to go home after and have been sitting in the parking lot for 30 minutes waiting and go in to ask, they'll treat you like you should feel lucky that you're getting paid at all. I was literally just asking how long the hold up would be and some 20 year old employee got right up in my face and asked if I knew I wasn't the only donor in
Been donating plasma since ADMA opened at the Maryville location. The staff are the only reason I gave them any stars at all - staff is great but severely overworked. Ryan, Janie, Kathy, Christy..are all good people. However, for some reason after they fired Peyton, they cannot seem to run the chairs efficiently. What used to take and 1 hr - 1 1/2 hrs TOTAL....now takes 3 hours in the waiting area....not even getting close to being sat in a chair. 2 Fridays in a row I have had to leave early because th
Sarah is really friendly & all the other staff are very nice & informal!! They offer a lot of incentives & gave me a cool t shirt the first time I came here to donate. Good place to go for good vibes for sure! & also gives me a good feeling to know I'm helping others with my donation
The employees are awesome but the clinic is severely understaffed, which causes massive delays and makes it impossible to get payment issues rectified. I was underpaid for my last donation and after trying to reach out several times to get the issue fixed I've decided to give up and just move on. I will not be returning to this clinic.
While the staff is wonderful, this place is severely understaffed. It should never take over 1.5 hours to donate. However, recently, it has taken well over 2 hours every time. It's also highly unacceptable that for such a profitable company, the staff and donors suffer due to a lack of appropriate and sufficient supplies. Very disappointing!
Just gave plasma today, and Oh. My. Goodness! The staff was absolutely fantastic -- from start to finish. Sara, in particular, actually took the time to answer some of my weirder questions (like "how does that spin thingy work?"). The donation itself was pleasant and actually fun. The staff took the time to talk to everyone in the chairs, making sure they were OK. Not what I expected at all ... in the very best of ways!
This place has become a joke. They have no employees and the ones they have are so overworked it's not worth the money they're rude. They take special donors before hard-working donors that come in there and have been sitting there for hours as a company. They have went downhill fast wouldn't recommend anybody going there.
First off they never answer the phone I've called 100x and not 1 was answered Worst place I've ever donated! Staff used to be decent and kind and would try to respect your time but my last few donations have taken 3 or more hours while other people that came in hours after me get called and servicedand even leave before I even get called! Staff does not respect your time at all and will just stand around looking at you instead of doing their job. Payment as a new return donor is a problem I donated at 8am i
I have always had a great experience at ADMA centers. A special shoutout to Sara who always makes the process quick and easy. They do not have a system for preferred names, so if you are transgender and your legal name is not your preferred name, keep that in mind. It always makes me feel weird to go by my dead name here. Other than that, fantastic place.
You're treated as a person here. Staff is very friendly. Payton is the best, she always fixes others mess ups and I'm always confident everything will go smoothly when she's the one to stick me
I like the workers but the new rules concerning rsv etc patients is extremely frustrating. It's extremely hard to watch someone barely sit down when you've been waiting in excess of an hour get called back while you continue to sit. It's tantamount to saying the majority of us don't matter as much as others.
I called earlier this morning to ask what the latest time I could come in as I would be a new donor. The lady asked me what my schedule was. I told her I could be there by 450/500. She said that was fine. I walked in at 456, no one at the desk. At 520 someone comes out and says they are on a 3.5 to 4 hour wait and she has several physicals to do. Told me to come back tomorrow. I said I can't ever come back before 5. She well sorry... what a complete waste of my time. Don't tell people on the phone its ok
Nina always does the best job getting me screened and checked in, every time no matter what. She is always so polite and professional, conversation comes so easily. Nina does an excellent job making a donor feel welcomed, all the while working quickly and effectively to keep my day moving along smoothly, and I really appreciate her for it! ????
I have been coming here to over a year and I have always had great service but the last couple of times I have had issues. Your phlebotomists are very very short handed and are having to run around like crazy and you can tell they are exhausted, I do not want an exhausted tech sticking my arm. You definitely need to hire more phlebotomists in order to help support your workers, this will also help with the sometimes 3 to 4 hour wait times and only having 2 people closing.
first experience the male phlebotomist that assisted me first time was very nice and knew what he was doing. toward the end i started feeling dizzy, and getting hot and cold chills and i told the phlebotomist and he immediately started giving my blood back and put ice on me and started fanning me. second time i went there was many issues. walked in and did the kiosk questions but no one told me what to do after that so i waited in the wrong seating area, got my finger pricked and myself weighed no problems
Short staffed but doing great with what/who they can. Everyone?s complaining but where's y?all?s certification in phlebotomy? I have a few favorites and I'd hate to see them go ?? maybe if some of yall weren't so ugly to staff, they'd stick around. No pun intended.. well maybe.
This place has gone downhill due to overworking the employees and running on a skelton crew. The phlebotomist are trying their best to keep up and keep everyone safely donating. They have a high turnover and run the good employees into the ground. The managers barely train the new staff and just turn them loose. They dont come out to help when the phlebotomist ratios are off. It a shame that people are treated like cattle instead of humans. I won't be back again.
Everyone is very friendly and personable and professional, and it is very clean
Let's take a moment to appreciate the people working here. They gave me cold hard cash in exchange for some of my fluids and it's not a bad amount by any means either. The center itself is clean and easy to get in and out of. Sara, at the front, stabs fingers with laser precision just before she squeezes your blood out like a highly skilled finger vampire. Kelly, is a champ at threading your veins with a needle so smoothly you'll compare it to a slightly less comfortable day at the spa. 10/10 would dona
The staff is very professional. They have hired more staff the help with the process to make it quicker. Nina in prescreening is great she is very professional, courteous, and helpful. A all around happy person! Becky and Sara are great also!
This place only does by appointment which is a horrible idea people work
I like the workers but the new rules concerning rsv etc patients is extremely frustrating. It's extremely hard to watch someone barely sit down when you've been waiting in excess of an hour get called back while you continue to sit. It's tantamount to saying the majority of us don't matter as much as others.
Avoid. A/C is always turned off, which is reckless at best during plasma donation. Its always hot in there vs literally ever other donation place. Phlebs are always understaffed, and WILL take their stress out on YOU. Few good apples there like Miranda and Melenda, and Ryan? Etc. but even they cant help everyone. Bad apples will put the needle in too forcefully or near the vein wall and get mad at YOU for going into shock or having a reaction. Or just treat you like street filth for needing extra money in t
Once you get set up and rolling, it's a super easy way to earn $40 first visit of the week and $90 for the second. Roughly 2 hours total each week. That's checking in and giving plasma. So $65 bucks an hour for your time. The staff is professional, attentive and overall nice folks. If you're in need of some extra cash swing by
Sara is a fantastic worker, she made sure I was took care of and ready to roll. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the wait in the evening and the staffing low to get everyone moving.
Absolutely the best friendly and professional group of people. Sara was awesome taking the time to go the extra mile during my service with ADMA. Thank you for the opportunity to get to come and donate with y?all.
I love ADMA Maryville , start the front desk workers and testers they all kind , Tina is very sweet. The nurses Selena and Shelby amazing. All the crew on the set up for the plasma very professional and knowledge , Diana ,Kelly , Hannah, Peyton, Colby , Kathlyn and all the them I cant remember the names. The place is very clean .
I've been to this location several times and love the staff. They're all so friendly and personable. Special shout outs to Sara & Nina - up front! But all of the employees are kind and funny.
Never experienced bruising and long term muscle pain like I did after 1st donation here. Going on a month and I think they caused severe damage to my left arm nerves and bicep.
Kelly should run the place. She is professional, dedicated and knowledgeable in all aspects of the job. The rest of the staff are great and work hard. I've never had a bad experience here with the staff.
So slow and pays the least of all plasma donation facilities.
I've been donating plasma for a few months now, and every time Sara at the front is my phlebotomist I know I'm in good hands. She's very friendly and always makes me feel comfortable. Highly recommend.
Oh very friendly very courtesies and caring can't thank everybody who works there Mervin would recommend it to anybody and the people are so professional
This place only does by appointment which is a horrible idea people work
Years of donating and there is not a place like this. Clean environment in a good part of town. The staff are excellent from Susan in front checking you in to Payton and Diana in back. They are extremely friendly and caring. I come back for these reasons and look forward to my donation because of the people.
Donating plasma is a great way to help fellow humans who need plasma and to make some extra cash. This donation center has a friendly professional staff that will provide all the answers to your questions.
Always a pleasure to come to Adma plasma to donate my precious plasma! It's a great side cash if you need a little extra holiday money plus you get to help others at same time. Sara always greets me with a laugh and smile! Kelly, Hannah and Colby making the donating process painless and fun!
The employees are good people with positive attitudes (most of the time) but they're SO slow and can't keep employees. If you have ALL DAY to spend as a return donor, good for you. And all day is not an understatement, I work second shift on a shop job and quit trying to donate during the week before I was 5 minutes from clocking in 3 times in a row. I've never seen such a slow donation center. And I've been sitting here for an hour waiting to give a BLOOD SAMPLE. ?? And I will not be coming back to this lo
They are severely understaffed, 2 hours and I haven't even went back yet . The pay is not that great to spend that long to donate. So this trip will probably be 4 hrs which is absolutely ridiculous
It's unfortunate to see this donation center slowly decline over the past six months. The (good) staff has been leaving left and right and the wait time has been going up and up week after week. This used to be a great place to donate but there are only a couple phlebotomists left that get the job done.
ADMA Maryville has run a safe, kind, and respectful operation for me. I get to sit and donate, listen to music, read, draw, talk, and 45 minutes later I'm happily on my way. Rock on Sara and everybody else who works there now, before, and forever more. Thank you for being there for me.
Some how I got here at 8 and it's 10 and they have called back 6 people that came in after me. I'm very upset and frustrated and I will probably be going to another plasma center because this is ridiculous. Nurse Jeff and Janie are nice and Jeff tried to tell them in the back and it changed NOTHING. I am mad as hell because it ain't right. Now I see why I stopped coming here UPDATE: DONATED YESTERDAY AND STILL HAVEN'T GOT PAID. I'M NOT GOING TO KEEP CALLING. I CAN SAY THAT PAYTON WAS AMAZING
Nina, Ariel and Sara in the prescreening are amazing! Every time I come to donate plasma they're always so kind and nice, they remember things from past visits and treat people like they're friends! Always a great time way yo start off the plasma donation process.
If I could I wouldn't even give them in Maryville a one star. I had an issue they said to get a note from my Dr. So I spent the money to go to the Drs and they still refused me. For something that happened in 2008 and hasn't happened since so my Dr doesn't have a problem with me donating. But after all of this and the money I spent it was a waste of time. I give them a minus 5 stars
Love adma! The staff are the most friendly people! I have not had a bad stick yet ( knock on wood) nina Payton Caitlin Hannah and kolby are def keepers always super fast and friendly ! But all are wonderful! Thank you for making donating enjoyable
Sara is always so sweet and very helpful. She always has a smile on her face and seems to always be in a good mood. It's always a pleasure to have her stick me.
Excellent facility and staff, especially Nina! I've been donating plasma for nearly 10 years. This Maryville ADMA branch makes the experience pleasant, and I'm glad they give me the opportunity to help those in need. Thanks, y'all!
Absolutely love this donation please Coby is the absolute best very easy and kind always has a smile on his face an very respectful
Very good place to go to donate and help others. Very nice people working there, from the ladies that check you in to the ones in the back. Diana, Payton, and Desmond are usually the ones I deal with and they are Awesome!! I highly recommend this place.. Go donate today and help those in need it's such a great feeling..
Sara and Nina are always so welcoming, friendly, cheerful every time I come. The staff at this location make it very enjoyable to be here.
I would love to give 5 stars simply because the center is the nicest set up compared to other centers & the staff are all caring & amazing. I will say that due to an employee turn over the wait times have become ridiculous especially for return donors who are getting the smaller pay. As I sat in a chair today I was excited to see new faces on the floor but for some reason I watched the new trainees go from hands on learning (setting up my machine came to a halt) to being told they could only observe. I'm no
They need better phlebotomists or have better training for them. I personally have had them mess up my arm a few times because of a bad stick. I have friends & family who go there & they've had their arms messed up too! Other than that, they're great there. I've been to other plasma centers in the past & have never had frequent bad sticks.
ADMA BioCenter is amazing! Staff is always Friendly and polite..and I Absolutely love NINA. Everytime I get her she is super nice and you can deffianetly see her fun side!, she deffianetly puts a smile on my face everytime i come in and I'm having a bad day..will continue to go and donate to help others.
This place is great. Very friendly staff. Process is very easy and they educate you at every step of the process. Very clean and professional setting. The only reason I'm giving 3 instead of 5 stars is directly because of the PaySign prepay card system that they use. PaySign is an absolute scummy company that is making money off of people donating their plasma. Their app is atrocious and their business practices are designed to scam as much money from you as they can. Charging for EVERY swipe of your card
Jakob and Nina are great! I just started coming here after donating at another facility and ADMA is so much cleaner and faster than the other place.
Great staff, very friendly but sometimes to friendly when they have people waiting in chairs to either get stuck or unhooked and they are just standing and talking. I do enjoy going and this is one of the best places but only if you are ok with waiting...
Colby and Hannah are both amazing. Both go above and beyond, no matter how busy they are, to make me feel comfortable and treated like family!
Sara, Nina and the rest of the staff are always kind, professional and a joy to be around. They treat you like a friend and not just another number.
This place is pathetic! I went in there trying to donate and they said my heart rate was too high so I went to bmh and it was completely normal! This was a 10min difference! I went again after being cleared by a doc and they claimed the same thing! Again, I got checked out by bmh and was cleared but then was flagged! Really starting to think they bit pick donors! Yeah I'm poor and kinda look it but my plasma is valuable and I never had a problem at cal plasma in Knoxville years ago! They just judge people b
Very unprofessional staff upfront, donated Friday, told pay would be fixed Saturday by 2 pm, called at 3 pm and got told I was never put on the list to get my pay fixed, so now they can't fix it, freaking pathetic
The staff here is amazing and so friendly, but nina up front is always so happy and ready to help! They need more employees ready to lead a head like her!
Kelly is awesome #1. BUTTTTTT.... They don't pay a lot of money whether you're a new donor or return donor. Also they are slow and can't keep employees. I've NEVER been to a plasma center were the nurses don't even come out to help if they are busy in the back. Just RIDICULOUS
Staff is always polite and professional. Especially Nina, she always has a smile on her face and is very personable
Staff are friendly, funny, and knowledgeable about what they're doing. I had a great experience compared to the other times I've donated.
Shout out to Nina, Kathy &Sara upfront and Diana, Megan, Colby, and Kelly in the baack but the entire ADMA staff is pretty great and friendly.
Sara is super nice, makes you feel very comfortable. She also gave me a bandaid for my finger. ??
Two days in a row I've waited OVER 2 hours. Unacceptable!!! I left before donating the first day, and still waiting to be called today after arriving before 9am ? it's 11:03am. This is insane!
I'd like to say Sara is really good at poking and collecting your blood sample! Kelly and Peyton are a very good at running the donation bay and always make the donation a great and fun time
Nina and Ariel are the best screeners up front. They are so funny and sweet! I love when I come here!??
The staff is absolutely wonderful! I was a little nervous since this was my first time but the ladies are amazing and make you feel so comfortable.
I believe the two ladies that worked on me were very kind and caring, just missed one thing that might have prevented this very rare type of injury to my arm two weeks ago. If the blood is being returned to your arm and the machine beeps, and the tech spends a few minutes trying to reposition the needle, request that they pull it out and return the blood through your other arm. If they had done that right away, it would have prevented blood from being sent under my skin and throughout my muscles. This inju
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
