This location has been the most irradiating plasma donation center ever. Their hours are extremely inconsistent as they neither open on time nor do they honor the closing times posted on their front door. The hours of operation are solely left up to what the staff decides. I don't understand how this location remains open. This is the third or fourth time they have changed their hours without proper notification to its donors.
Great first experience. Supervisor Tamara was nice and asked me to write a review. Very nice staff throughout the facility. update: 6 donations, I realized the place is hit or miss. Some of the phlebs are gentle with the needle insertion, and removal, and some are not. Blows my mind that a Powerade is required to drink after donating, instead of saline, like nearly all other plasma places. There can't still be a "saline shortage". Come on. Pros: closer to me than CSL Plasma, in general, not terribly busy,
Tamara the supervisor is very pleasant and amazing at what she does Cheltenham is lucky to have her The staff on the floor is great and I haven't had a bad stick yet. They are all good. I come here because of staff just to name a few Tyra, Khalifa, and Toya. Thank you guys so much
Sade proficiency in sticking the needle was phenomenal and Tyra's bedside manner upon completion of the process was exceptional, and supervisor Tamara was very thoughtful creating a friendly and professional environment sure to make donors feel welcomed and appreciated.
Tamara the Supervisor at the Cheltenham location, was very pleasant and kind. While I was waiting to be seated she asked was i alright. An when i was seated she was actually the person who was sticking me. Lightly explained the process and when she stuck me, i didn't even feel the needle enter my arm. Afterwards, she asked if i was ok and if i had any questions! Great job Tamara!!! Lamont Bryant Sr
Thank you ro the staff especially the supervisor Tamara. She works nonstop and continue getting the job done. You should be proud and happy to have her as your supervisor. Thank you Tamara
Very great staff. The receptionists are very kind and helpful, the nurses are very professional and knowledgeable. The Phlebotomists are very great as well. Very skilled and precise. Tamara, Arielle, Tyra, Cierra, and more are all great I'm not great with names so apologies for the ones I forgot. Would highly recommend.
The building is clean and the staff is cool and they get you in and out in a decent amount of time. Smiles! They also are good at inserting the huge needle with no pain. Grateful for that!
The B Positive crew are very respectful and make sure im in and out. They provide excellent comfort and all have cool and down to earth personalities. Tamara the supervisor has things flowing and always make sure the environment is calm and efficient. Highly recommend for first time and repeat donors !
Edit February 2025: went in as a repeat donor and was told I need a yearly physical in order to donate again but they don't have the staff today to do it. Why would you not send out an email or something telling people they need their annual physical soon?? These people get on my nerves. They never have enough staff or they are just rude. Try another place if you can. Edit July 2024: Compensation is steadily going down. When I started in October the referral bonus was $75, now it is $10. You could make $13
These ladies are truly professional. Tamara keeps things light and willing to assist ALWAYS! A PLEASURE ALWAYS... P.S. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the absence of the saline solution. Makes it a tad more difficult to feel my best afterwards but by now stretch of the imagination does it have any bearing on the ladies/ man there?
It's worse every Saturday I've come over the last month or so. People who came in at Noon last week were still there at 8pm. I was thinking about going to another BPosituve maybe to get my $85 I think I am screwed
I was literally the only person there as I arrived early for my first visit but after wiickly being screened but I was still waiting an hour later. There were No other first timers either as I was observing all the traffic which was next to nothing. Hence I was kept waiting for more than an hour while the "Nurse" did absolutely nothing ! The manager threw the Nurse under the bus admitting that this Nurse always requires the 2 hours extra the Website speaks about. Okay these clowns
I was a bit nervous to begin with, but they didn't help me feel at ease. I was told after the the hour and a half physical/info session I have small veins but was assured by a gentleman(who told me he was the manager) that even though my veins are small I would get $$ for the initial donation. He suggested we try other arm I said ok, that one didn't work either! So now days later my second arm is sooooo bruised and they never put the $$$ on the card. Sooooo wasted two and a half hours of time.
This place is so amazing especially the supervisor Tamara thanks to all the great phlebotomists who works extra hard especially Tyra she is one of the best if not the best
My (19 yr old) daughter came here to donate plasma last Tues (Jan 9th). After about 15 mins of donating the machine started beeping alerting to ?no flow?. No one came over to check on my daughter. She had to flag someone down (prob bc the staff was too interested in flirting with every male donor who walked in). Beeping lasted about 45 mins until she was able to get someone over there. Anyway, someone came over finally and started moving the IV all around causing my daughter great pain. Over the next almo
Tamara is by far one of the best supervisors I came across, Whitney, Arielle, Khaliah, and Chanelle are super amazing phlebotomists. thank you for all you do
I'm convinced the good reviews are from staff and friends. I've been coming sometimes twice a week for a year now and within the last month it's been a real clown show. The wait to be screened is long and it's even longer some nights to be seated to donate. I've complained to corporate but it seems to go unheard. Recently a new member ( curly blonde hair) had to draw a sample from me and missed my vein completely then had a meltdown and said something was wrong with the machine before asking for help
I appreciate all the amazing staff at B Positive followed by Supervisor Tamara and the Manager Tammie. A special thank you to Sade for always being professional and sticking me. Thank you to Chanelle, Arielle, Khaliah, Tyra and Whitney and Abneer. Thank you all
Nope never again! Waited 6 hours to even get to donate and when I finally donated the nurse put the needle in wrong, I looked down and my whole arm was a lump. I tried calling the nurse over and she told me to hold on as she walked pass me slowly and without purpose. Called her over again a few min later and she told me to wait again. Finally got the attention of a different nurse and when she looked at my arm her reaction was ?OMG? so she unhooked me and told me to go home. I get in my car drive a block aw
I was nervous to come in for my first appointment because of all the negative reviews, which is why I wanted to share about my extremely positive experience. I came in for my scheduled appt as a new donor earlier this week. Everything moved along pretty quickly and everyone I encountered was professional and friendly. The entire facility was clean (bathrooms could be a bit better). I returned for my second visit today and again had a positive experience. The only reason I won't continue coming back is bec
The supervisor Tamara is amazing and always making donors laugh and smile. My phlebotomist Khaliah was so great to work with she explained everything to me and is one of the best at this location. I appreciate all the professionalism at this location
Hey b positive is super great way better than csl and there's always somewhere to sit and it's very peaceful. Chanelle was my phlebotomist for the duration of my donation and I honestly didn't feel anything. She was so professional followed by the amazing staff Supervisor Tamara, Manager Tammie, Phlebs on the floor Toya, Char, and Kamize Thank you B Positive
Nice employees. Pretty fast at work nice people that work there and make you experiences pleasant as possible. And Tyra the girl is the best one there always nice can fix any problems at hand and should be at the top of class. And all the girls in the morning are the best
Some of them are awesome while others can't focus enough to not screw up. I like this place much more than aramingo, by far, but it has its ups and downs. EDIT: I RETRACT ANYTHING NICE IVE SAID ABOUT THE PHLABOTOMISTS. 90% ARE LOW CAPACITY HUMANS. Management is chill but the people they hire need retraining big time. I know my arm better than you. Period.
I really appreciate Tamara the supervisor she gets the job done I love her personality.
This place is so slow I had to make an appointment that wasn't honored. It took over 4 hours to complete my donation and physical. I was told that they only have one nurse so unless you have about 4-5 to kil and don't mind waiting hours I wouldn't go there
My experience at B positive was pleasant, positive and I must say friendly and full of kindness and Love! Such Beautiful People! ?????????? Thanks to these Beautiful People at B Positive (Patrice,Jamaira , and Tamara and Tammie and Natasha) My visit by way of these Beautiful People at B Positive are Truly Memorial and unforgettable!!! Much Love to B Positive and Staff
Tamara is a super dope Supervisor followed by the staff especially Jamaira. The staff is extremely friendly and caring of the donors. A great environment to come to
The service I received was awesome, all the phlebotomists were very professional especially Khaliah ,and the supervisor Tamara, treated all the donors really kind, great job guys!!! I came in to donate several times afterwards and I am so pleased with the women and their services on the donors, they are highly skilled at their jobs, I tell all my friends about great atmosphere ,keep up the good work ?? ?? ??
What are the actual hours ? I tried calling and it say M -F 8:00am but on the website it says 7:00am. Are they open on Saturdays? I am trying to contact someone and can't.
I've been here 10 times. They entire staff is friendly and helpful. Was able get in and out within 90 mins. Highly recommend. Shout out to my phlebotomist o today Tamara
Thanks to the amazing Supervisor Tamara she needs to be a manager and thank you to Chanel and Arielle you guys are truly amazing
This is the worst plasma donation center I have been to in my life. The payments are the lowest around, Their promos are bait and switch, the lab techs are inexperienced and will painfully and incorrectly stick you with needles, the machines are crap, they have no saline so just doing the job RAW if you will while ALL OTHER donation companies have saline?and lastly the staff is unprofessional and ghetto shouting nigga on the floor amongst other things. I will be ATTEMPTING to get my first time donor payment
I have been going to B Positive for months the staff are very courteous and helpful. Tamara has been attentive to patients request and defusing rude guest.
They are horrible. They take a sample and forget to tell you that you are unable to donate. Nora, Whitney, Tamara... Are lying.... Don't waste your time.
I have the best experience at b positive. The whole staff is wonderful, and they have the best service. Tamara,Toya, andJamaira are awesome people and have great customer service.
Silmarie Aguilar had a amazing experience every time I go in every one is sweet and nice I appreciate them so much
Jamaira and Tamara they are very generous and caring. Make m4 feel like we family. It's just a gr es at at
At the plasma I had a little bad experience but with the help of a phlebotomist by the name of Chanel she caught the problem my needle had been adjusted a few times and she said that my needle was hanging out she proceeded to get another phlebotomist to stick me by the name of char she was the one that restocked me there was a supervisor on the floor by the name of Tamara these three ladies b positive plasma Cheltenham Court a situation that could have been very fatal but thanks to them out there safely and
Tamara is such an amazing Supervisor and Chanelle the phlebotomist did an amazing job. And this place is super cool in all the staff here are friendly
Tyra, Whitney, and Tamara were so very helpful, very respectful and quick to respond to not just my donation needs bur other donor's needs. I only come to this location because Tyra is one of the best phlebotomy. Thank you so much Tyra you are so appreciate.
Big thanks 2 miss tamara supervisor at b-pos on cheltanham always on point an keepn things in check an great attitude day 2 day even after rowdy days/ also lets not 4get miss tahira who startd donuts once a wk 4 staff 2keep them alive 4us the consumers thru a busy day/ an its not 2 many times u see a fine young woman humble an personable wit ppl skills thru all the compliments an dif fans/ she keep it professional wit a smile 2 the end/all while sayn good bye/ an ill drive across town 2b in these ladies pre
Jamaira is always exceptionally nice and professional when I have her b-positive plasma, it's a wonderful experience with her every time.
Jamaira And Charlene are awesome people very professional great stick great service . They made me feel very comfortable. Will definitely come back soon
Tamara the Supervisor is so great at what she does that I came back a second time
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!! I went to donate plasma today 5/4/2024 and the nurse shoved the needle in my arm and I guess she couldn't find the spot so she pulled it in and out of my arm about 3 times? I'm left with a bruise on my arm.. I didn't get paid and they were very rude because I didn't want to get my right arm stuck after she already messed up my left arm. Leaving the plasma center I had blood on my clothes? a bruised arm? they didn't give me ice until I asked for it for my arm. It
Your staff is very respectful at the B positive cheltenham, and every time I come they get me in and out! I appreciate your great staff.
I had a great time there. I love the staff there. They was helpful and courteous. Especially one of the supervisors and the nurse, I was laughing and smiling the whole time I was there. It was a little long on the first time, but that was because there were a lot of questions and paperwork to be answered. Other than that the place was clean and my donations only took me 45 minutes, from start to finish..
I went today and people cut in line, had music blasting, and they kicked me off the $850 promo because April has a new promo when I asked last week if my current promo would be affected. The receptionist said it would not, however, I received $45 today instead of the $100 I was supposed to get for my next 5 visits. This is terrible business and customer service. Do not go here! I'd recommend somewhere much better like BioLife. I never had one issue there but now have had issues at 2 Bpositive plasma loc
SCAM!!!!! SCAM!!!! SCAM!!!! I weighed more last time I was here and donated 830 and got 35. This is my 2nd time this week and I weighed 2 pounds more and donated only 700 today. They don't want to pay people so they lowballing us. Don't come here. Go to CSL instead if you have that option. I just wasted time out of my day for $35 like our time clearly isn't important to this company.
Came in Saturday , Tyra heard my machine beeping , she knows me by name ,she was working on someone at the time , and was like Cheryl you alright I will be right there she was , she very nice , professional about her job . There are a few more also just don't know there names. Awesome Job Tyra .
Tamera Superviser Tyra Jamaira Khaliah Chanelle Kamize all have been professional and very helpful
...good place, great staff. ...been going to b - positive Cheltenham for a long while now. People like Patrice at the front desk who glow with kindness and personality make your day. ...at vital stats you have Noreen who's always professional and absolutely great at her job. ...in the back, there's phlebotomists like Tyra, who are very personable and always sticks your vein like she would want hers to be stuck. so, yeah...come on by. Peace
Good job with this B Positive location . Ms Tarita makes sure the techs do their job correctly, there are short waiting lines and chairs to wait in unlike CSL long lines standing up . The payout is better than CSL . Even though B Positive lower the payout by 10$ (which sucks) it's still more than CSL ,I usually make 125$ a week above 871 a donation so I'm at the max payout available. I usually take 40 minutes to finish plasma donation and the money is usually on my card within 20 minutes . Sometimes you hav
For challene she's very friendly and great customer service Jordan
This place is the WORST! Every month corporate "REDUCES" the 'donor payments', referrals, & "New Donor" payments! They offer bonus, that'll be split between 2-5 donation centers. How can each center have winners? We compete with 2+ centers & have to donate 8+ more times a month, in order to qualify for the giveaway. So it's a pool of hundreds or thousands of people. They reduce referrals payments. They pay $10 per referral. New donors receive $75 1st donation & $125 2nd donation. Each other donation, you wi
I've been coming to this location for a few months now. Never said a slow and bad experience. Some of the workers are nice and professional and the others are lazy, rude and very unprofessional. The best time to come to this location is when it's 1st opening during the day. On the 17th of August around 14:30 I was called to the sticking area while having to wait 20-30 minutes to get stick. The nurse on the floor at the time skipped 2 over 2 ppl in line so someone who was literally just called to the bay to
Spent 20 minutes on registration and over 60 minutes waiting for the screening. Once I finally got up to ask if everything's good and that i've been waiting for over an hour, they said i was flagged for saying i had a shot in the past 2 months (flu shot). They cleared it and i got called instantly, only to be told that from then on its another 1 hour wait. So basically i wasted 1 hour of waiting because they didn't even put me in the queue. So disorganized...
Could be better, could be worse. CSL is worse. Lol. The people here are, overall, nicer and more professional, but there are still outliers and a generally casual vibe. Tyra is awesome. Give her a raise.
Today I had a wonderful experience with Char and especially the supervisor Tamara the best always.
Regrettably, the B Positive facility falls short of the standards I once experienced in Holmes, PA. The premises lack cleanliness, and the staff's demeanor appears unprofessional. The machinery's unreliability and the apparent indifference of the management toward client concerns are disconcerting. Supervisor Tarita displays a notable disconnect, embodying a nonchalant attitude when addressing valid customer grievances. My arrival at 11:30 am turned into a prolonged screening process, exceeding an hour, exa
Place is a dump. Biolife so much better
Is The Worse! They deferred me after my 2nd donation 2 years ago because of my protein level didn't meet there standards so they had me come in too give a blood sample. The nurse or whomever were supposed to call me with the results so I never returned, it's been 2 years until today. I'm still deferred for the same reason I made an appointment like a new donor online and can't be seen unless it's for a blood sample but how after 2 years. What about the last results? They give any reason not to see any one!
After 30 donations I was told my protein was 5.9 when it needed to be 6.0. I was told I needed to submit a 'sample' to verify it was at least 6 before I could donate again. This started an ordeal in which I would call day after day , be lied to repeatedly and have some of the dumbest most incredible excuses from people 100% committed to being as LAZY as is humanely possible. I wss repeatedly told the "resulrs" were not 'in' when in fact the 'results'were 'in' and had been for more than a week. layer when I
Phlebotomist Jamaira did an excellent job sticking me did not feel nothing at ALL . So impressive! Phlebotomist Latoya and Ericka are good as well. WOOT WOOT ! Great service!
Won't be donating anymore . My first pay of the week went from 65 to 45 now to 25 and I weigh 180 which means they're robbing me . If your poor and need 15-25 cool but people like me who drive , work and have families it's NOT WORTH IT AT ALL !!
Screening process was easy. The staff was very friendly. The donation process was smooth. I have no complaints.
I thought the physician and the nurses were amazing! They walk you through the entire process. They answer questions until you understand. They are all very caring!
They are a great staff and always wonderful i love the environment nice an well clean and the traffic is never crowded
The staff is cool but the first month doner thing is a scam, they said your first month you can make up to 700, as a new doner I only got the bonus my first week, after that I only got 25 to 30 every donation. SCAM
Better customer service than the Olney CSL. The environment does not warrant the same security measures due to a relatively higher efficiency in process particularly when you're able to sit rather than stand for long periods of time. That detail goes along way to curbing irritability. Kudos.
Gave my first donation yesterday. The overall experience was top notch. Clean and friendly staff. Easy to get to by bus. Second donation on Thursday.??
It's absolutely no point of them being open on Saturdays. They are super busy and only have 2 people on staff. I've been waiting for 2hrs just to get a physical done and they are screening people who came after me. Like this is beyond annoying.
I love b positive always in and outcome most pleasant staff no long wait clean environment clean bathrooms not so cold they also pay more lov b positive in. Good way also helps me out when I visit on time?s Mont to help save a life saves mine have a good review always
B-Prepared to Wait: For me it was about 45 minutes from the door to the screening. B-Prepared to Stand: No seating in the waiting area/queue for screening. B-Prepared to Go Away Empty-Handed: My first time donor appointment. I honestly disclosed a minor diagnostic medical procedure from 1988. They deemed it to pose enough of a risk that they wanted me to get a PCP clearance before proceeding. They indicated that I would not receive any compensation for the two hours already invested in their screening pro
Tamara and Khaliah at B positive plasma center are very helpfully and pleasant I will recommend anyone to donate
Jamaira set me up she's amazing very sweet and efficient. She stuck me and it was painless best experience donating ever.
Ok so first off I'm gonna say that they move Soooooo slow OMG I thought csl was bad smh .don't get me wrong they have a nice plasma building and chairs to sit but at the same time they extremely to slow even with dc smh getting disconnected you'll be sitting there for 30min and they will literally walk by you knowing you need to be disconnected..they take their little precious time it's crazy..they forgot to take my blood sample at the beginning and never took it so I basically was donating without having a
I love B+ It really help me with keeping money I'm my pocket for my family before I get paid the process is not hard and once you start going uu get use to it definitely beneficial! ..
Saturday was the worst day that I've ever been here. No machines was working and the ladies couldn't do there job. There should always be someone there to fix the machines. Crazy today.
Great place...but,they should tell you that building is not actually ON Cheltenham Ave. But off of Washington Lane in rear of Cheltenham Mall. It took me 20 extra minutes to find it...ended up on Rt. 309,etc. But,all in all a WIN. Very cute/beautiful staff. ??????
Everything quick all staff friendly and professional
They messed up my 19 year old nieces arm. She had been telling them (or trying to) that it didnt feel right and it was hurting. Then when she left she had a ER visit where we were told she had a blood clot.
I love my center it's clean the staff is the best and im always out in a good time ! No drama donate and go home ! That easy ??
To be honest they need some white people to be running that place, cuz that little black lady ain't doing her job right. That place is going straight down hill.... ijs
Changed my previous 4 star rating down to 2 stars. The latest donor fee schedule in effect July 3 is a product of corporate greed, punishing those of us who have been loyal twice weekly donors for over a year by reducing total weekly compensation by $5. Manipulates donors to coming twice weekly for bonus compensation on the 2nd donation while paying everyone $5 less overall. So they now can get twice the plasma while paying less money overall. You WERE better than CSL.....not anymore.
Jamaira, Char and Tamara are great at their job !
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
