The place is wonderful but I'm giving the business a 1 start because the staff is extremely lazy. I came in on 2 different days and the staff is just LAZY! They will walk around and have a conversation loud for the people in the line to hear. When they have 20 people waiting and over 10 empty chairs. They walk around like they have just left the gym on leg day ! I honestly think they should allow People to book appointments like they do cause this LOCATION can not handle it. I understand they maybe a lil sh
Uodate: They tell you to click on this link to let them know, but they do not respond! Horrible!!! I had another appt and again, could not finish because they can not stick!!! I can not donate for 8 weeks now b because of that and I had plans to pay bills with the money from donating!!! Update: I went to another appointment and while standing in line with about 15 people right there, the 2 girls were gossiping nonstop about a employee that one of the girls said she hates and talking about other centers tha
This is what my arm looks like after almost 2 weeks I haven't been back and will not be back. Worst experience ever, the tech that inserted the needle didn't know what she was doing I started bleeding immediately after she poked me and she was just standing there in shock. Thankfully this other tech told her to address it immediately and all she did was put gauze on it took the needle out and reinserted it but that was the most painful experience I've ever had mind you that was not my first time donating an
The staff were amazing! Everyone was so friendly and made me so much more comfortable since I usually get nervous about needles and stuff. I was a first time donor so I had to get a physical and it was so smooth, and again, everyone was so nice and helpful that I wasn't uncomfortable at all.
All the staff was SUPER friendly and helpful! It was my first time ever and they clearly explained everything I needed to know in a clear and concise manner. They even took the time to walk me around the facility and explained the whole process to me so I would be prepared for my next donation!
Don't go here they care more about sucking out your blood then making sure u are ok, they kept pulling and reinserting the needle into my arm instead of just sending me home and paying me out but instead I ended up almost passing out and having a reaction and was unable to get my blood back worst experience of my life the bruising is getting worse that picture is 2 days after
I will not be going back, serious problem with staff shortage constantly. I have been going on and off since Covid and think to myself everytime? why did I think they would have changed. Takes hours standing in line waiting for a chair and forever to have someone disconnect you when the donation is through.
I had received a coupon to entice me to donate by offering 150.00, if you present a ?coupon? that was emailed to me. I presented it to the front desk, the person at the front desk said to show it to the person in the bay where the donation would take place. I did this, and the person in the bay said I should have shown it to the person up front. I informed her that I did this. The tech went and ?checked? with her supervisor and came back and informed me that they would honor the coupon. As they should. We
The staff is very friendly. However, it seems like everyone is a little uptight. One of the things I would suggest is signage to let you know where to go. For instance, when I arrived, I had no idea where I was supposed to go. I got in a line where others were at, but realized I should go to the desk and ask. The reason I did not go there first was because the lady that was there said hello, but never asked if she could help me. Once I went to the desk, I was given directions from the sweet lady there as to
Very unprofessional, This facility takes their sweet time and likes to have non-work related conversations while having a line that goes to the door wrapped around the corner. I showed up at 9, left at 12:30 without ever getting seen. They only have 1 secion open and all the workers just walk around not doing anything. Someone PLEASE SAVE THIS FACILITY ??.
Last time i went there was on 11/2023 i came back on 9/5/24and it was horrible! My appointment was at 5:45 and i didnt leave until 9:15pm. Just look at the pictures. I had to miss work because of the pain! Be careful. They need to watch and shadow trainees, this is not acceptable.
I'm not quite sure where all the bad reviews are coming from.. today was my first day here, from the moment I walked in, everyone greeted me with smile, respect and kindness. I was supposed to donate 800Ml today and was only able to do 600 due to me not eating enough prior and as soon as I flagged down someone, she immediately put ice and made sure I was okay. As well as being given electrolytes and jerky. I appreciate everyone here for making me feel so welcome! And understanding. Definitely will be back a
I have never donated plasma before, I was a little nervous, but the staff was so friendly and informative, I really enjoyed my 3 hours there. They made me feel at home. It is for a great cause and it puts a little money in your pocket. I am going back tomorrow!
Process in the beginning can be red tape?ish? but process after getting all that out of the way process went smoothly. No issues and satisfied of the outcome after leaving.
Made appointment and went there early like the appointment suggested. Went inside and immediately knew it was going to be a long time. The amount of people that were in line , blew me away. I just want to know what the purpose of making appointments if they are not able to adhere to them.?
I would be curious to know how many people they allow to book an appointment within the timeframes they list. I'm a new donor to BioLife . I've been able to donate once and that was on my first day because whenever I do make an appointment I show up and there's 20 people in line waiting to get checked in And then another 10 to 15 people waiting in the other line to get back to actually donate making it nearly impossible for someone who actually have a job to be able to donate after work. I completely unders
I don't know who the lady in the orange bay today, but she made me nervous the moment she was tapping my vein for a long time. It never took anyone else a long time to check my vein. After the needle was in my arm, the machine instantly stop. She asked one guy to readjust and he's seemed busy enough to help her. Another guy had to remove the needle and stuck it in my other arm, and it was painful. The machine stopped after getting sticked again. This time, he reassured me the needle had a clot and didn'
Worst line ever it's like going into Walmart. The line is always impossible. I've never seen a line like that set for Six Flags. Or Disney World, it never seems to be your schedule. Your appointment and then you gotta wait 2 hours in line. I don't understandard worst place ever.
Was seated to donate along side 3 other people in line behind me and once seated I waited 1hour and 30 min just for everyone but me to be able to donate and apon asking when I'll be able to donate I was told to wait with attitude and never even got to donate so I walked out and I will not be doing business there ever again
I had a positive experience at the donation center, despite the facility being very busy. The staff was highly professional and ensured that every step of the process was thorough, from the exams to the questions and explanations. The center itself was clean and well-organized, contributing to an efficient process. I was particularly impressed by the two nurses I spoke with, as they were clearly knowledgeable in their roles. They not only appeared to be well-trained but also seemed to genuinely care about e
Been donating, most weeks, for well over 1 year now. Love the staff and have always had a good experience. I take my headphones, watch my fav Youtubers and relax. Love helping others while putting some extra cash in my life, to help family, travel, whatever....
I have to agree a lot of them are lazy. I love Vern hes the best. But today I had Kendra and now shes the best. Quick friendly efficient. Shes is a keeper.
NRH location needs more employees to handle people coming in. Springfield,MO was best being in and out in 50minutes while NRH takes roughly 1.5hours.
I turned around and walked away before entering because the line for vitals was 20 deep and the line to get stuck was 10+ deep. Its 630 and closes at 7. Over scheduling appointments and paying repeat donors less and less is hysterical.
I visited this BioLife location at 9 AM without realizing I needed an appointment. Fortunately, they scheduled me for 10 AM. However, by 10:45, they still couldn't resolve issues with their system, so I had to reschedule for 2 PM. Even then, it was 4:24 PM before I was finally able to complete my donation. The staff seemed disorganized and chaotic. For instance, they repeatedly called one donor by the wrong name for two hours, leading to her walking out. As a new or returning donor needing a physical, expe
Facility is great but there should be a better scale for people who are in shape. My iron stopped me from donating today for the 2nd time this week. But yet the 300lb guy next to me has no issues. How can you promote eating unhealthy habits to help my iron levels decrease? There should be a scale based on BMI or other contributing factors. It's sad that being in shape and eating healthy is a reason to turn donors away.
Iris at the front counter is always very welcoming. Kendra wasn't my recent nurse but she was very kind and professional.
I've donated almost 20 times and this location is just slow. They allow way to many people to schedule at a time and have 2 workers to check in people. And then you get to wait another 30 minutes to get sat and actually stuck. I often wait an hour before my blood is being drawn. It's ridiculous. Update: Feb. 2025. I'm 12 deep in the vitals line at 630pm and they have 2 people checking vitals with a supervisor distracting one of the 2 from talking about some party and what food to bring instead of maybe hop
Great hard working staff at this location. Wish they had more staff for peak times or not allow so many bookings. There can be extremely long wait times. Average in and out time so far has been about 2.5 - 3 hours. Again staff is amazing they just need more beds and people.
Building is clean and the staff is polite. However it takes too long to be seen after I sit down to donate. I've consistently spent 30-45 minutes waiting to be stuck with a needle no matter if it's busy or not. Unsure if the team is understaffed or if they just aren't focused. Every other plasma chain takes an hour and a half for the whole process. After a month at biolife it's yet to be less than 2 hours before I even start donating
It's very easy to donate, I recommend early as possible as it's slower then and you'll take less time. The first donations I received around $90.00 or $80.00 each time for the first 5 I believe. Then it drops dramatically to $30 to $40 and then $90. on 2nd one in a week's time. I found this a little bit of a let down, as I was counting on more than that amount. I feel this information would be good to have beforehand to help make the decision to donate or not. The staff is amazingly friendly and knowledgeab
I love Biolife. The staff is super friendly and the location is always clean and organized. I always look forward in donating! Thank you to the amazing team that work hard over there!
I'm usually a big fan of coming here but it has gotten crazy on the amount of time I have been spending there the last couple of weeks. This past Sunday, I waited almost 1.25 hours just to get to a chair. Then waited another 30ish minutes for someone to poke me. I was poked by a newbie who really jammed into my veins. I never have had pain when being poked but this girl dug and I even indicated it hurt. Another girl just said to switch to the other arm (? which is worse) and just went back to the original a
Highly recommend this facility. The experience has been very comfortable, and the staff are very experienced with no troubles with the process.
Well to start off with they talk like they appreciate you but then they take you down from $140 per week to $115 per week? And I donate eight times a month. It doesn't sound like appreciation to me.
I was completely ignored when i asked question, there is no intake structure and when i finally went through the entire process (more than 3 hours) they sent me home because they ?could find a vein in both arms? don't go there
Terrible place, always long lines, I've tried different times of day and days of the week and it's always at least an hour, usually more and you haven't even started the donation process. That's just getting through all the lines. Apparently nothing the staff can help with, just expect long waits.
Upon my last appt when I signed in, the system said unable to donate at this time see a nurse. Went to front counter, spoke to a lady and told her what the system said. She said go have a seat & nurse will be with you. When the nurse came out she was calling people by their names from a blue card. My name was never asked when I was told to have a seat so a man was called up that was after me in line. I went back up to the lady & asked if she needed to get my name? She again told me to go take a seat. The nu
New processing procedure has been excellent at getting us through quickly and smoothly. Staff is friendly and seem to value your time.
Well run business and great way to make extra cash. Don't go if you have some important plans 2 hours after you arrive. Some days I'm in and out in an hour and 15 minutes and some days it's 2 hours. In almost 4 years, I've never encountered a mean or angry employee. They are professional and try to get you in the chair pumping as quickly as possible. Highly recommend this place!
Donating plasma nowadays is just a headache. They always have a poor attitude, if you don't want to work go home. They pick and choose who to be friendly to, it's weird because it's a job!! Treat people fairly. Be friendly. You're on the damn clock
First time donating wasn't too bad had someone experienced stick me. 2nd & third time though I had trainees that bruised up my arm right now. My Arm is purple from where I got stuck the last time I donated.
Each zone has beds for 6 donors. After waiting for the black technician to get around to me after getting the 4 black people setup first even though I had been there before them, I was already agitated. Why do I make this distinction? Because I am white and obviously this is his tactic for racial profiling. He inserted the needle incorrectly and even though i told him it was wrong, he just shrugged it off. It wasn't until the alarms went off on the machine that he addressed the issue by switching arms. This
Hear me out! The waits times are long but the staff works extra hard to get people on a bed. I have been going for the last 6 months. I can definitely say Kendra is one of my favorite!!!! She always makes me laugh and overall makes me feel welcome. Facility is kept clean. One day the lines were long and they handed out snacks and water, that was much appreciated. Keep in mind; They can't help how fast blood comes out of someone, some people can get off a bed quick and some take longer. If staff falls sick
Paige was an ABSOLUTE sweetheart. Any questions I had she answered with no problems. Being my first time there she definitely made me feel seen and safe. I didn't catch the names of the phlebotomist, but he did great as well. I didn't feel any pain and he found my veins QUICK. Hopefully in my next rounds the rest of the staff is just as great. Although my appointment was at 2:30 and I didn't even start paperwork until nearly 4, but after I did the paperwork and all, it took about an hour and a half after t
Feedback; the most cleanest donation place I've seen. Seems safe and not full of ghetto people who cuss. I don't like the music most time because it cusses and have provocative lyrics that are not professional or appropriate. I bring head phones now. Lately it's been oldies so more acceptable. It seems like there are enough staff they just ARE NOT productive or quick. The SLOWEST MOVING STAFF I've ever seen in my life. That's what takes so long for the donating process. However, the staff are friendly and p
Everyone is polite, respectful, and engaging. Facility is always clean and conveniently close to my residence.
Worst experience ever. Technician didn't enter correct information. They made me leave and reschedule for one of their errors. Manager was rude and didn't explain anything.
They are nice but they take a long time and they DO NOT PAY YOU ONCE YOU DONATE THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF! If you want to be paid for your service don't go here. Everytime I come they have a new excuse about pay outs. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CENTER.
I went to donate and they asked me to have my doctor fill out a couple forms before I was able to donate. That same day, my doctor filled out the form and sent it in. It has been over six weeks and I have heard nothing. I was told it would be two weeks, but that hasn't been the case. For weeks, I have called and left messages that have never been returned and the ?contact us? on the website section filled out multiple times and still I have heard nothing. Not sure why it is this difficult to return calls, b
Put on going through 4 treatment , withdraw, plasma I went to my regular Bank To download the money that I had on there , directly into my checking and they still took out $2.40 on the information on that card from BioLife, they said there was nothing that they would charge even if ATMs, I'm a little confused and happy
There are some very nice people that work here I only wish that they would be more compassionate when it comes to the needle, we are human. We understand there are a lot of people in this building and you're working fast to get them in and out, but we need to pay attention to detail and remember that we feel pain slow down long enough to show compassion to the individual.
Why have all these appointment slots open every 5-10 minutes when you don't have the staff to keep it moving? Should take an hour, maybe an hour and a half total to be here a donate. Every time I come it's busy with barely anybody working and I'm here for 3 plus hours. It's ridiculous.
Facility was clean, staff were personable and quick/effective. Ultimately it was the staff that made the visit great. Pat was amazing during the physical process, just made it effortless and easy. Abby did a great job with my first time donating and with a smile answered all my questions. I can't remember the name of who did my intake process, but they were very kind and made it simple.
I have been here several times over the last 5 years. They are always friendly and efficient. I have always been greeted with a smile, even in their busiest moments. They are always able to answer my questions and concerns. When I have been there, the facility has always been clean. I would highly recommend this biolife.
Long lines. It's especially difficult when you get off work to go stand in lines. Makes it easy to not stay and STAND after a long day's work.
Friendly staff, clean facility.
I would give this location more stars, however, when I started donating here the nurse accidentally deleted my promo out, so a manager has to manually adjust the payment each time i donate. This means I can't check in when i get here until they approve it, which normally takes 20+ minutes waiting for a manager, then, after my donation, when they are actually making the adjustment, i have to wait another 20+ minutes for a manager to adjust. This increases the time i am here by 40-60 min due to a mistake an e
This last visit was the only time they seemed a little dis-organized. I say that because on more than one occasion there were 3 technicians in one section and only one in another section ( happened to be the one I was in). Consequently 2 other donors who were behind me in line finished a significant time before I did. They were in a different area than me. It seemed like they concentrated on emptying out one section at a time. Like I said, a little dis-organized. I don't think it is new management, but I am
The people are generally friendly and helpful. It takes way longer to get through the process than they advertise and sometimes they leave you kooked up to the machine for what feels like forever after you're done. I get a little anxious being there anyways but that extra 10 minutes really does me in personally sometimes. I know it can't be helped but I also not a fan of having my arms marked up.
By far the slowest location I've been to. My appointment was at 1:10 and it's now after 2:20I still haven't been assigned a bed and there are at least 10 people in front of me still waiting for a bed. This is ridiculous. Only 4 sections were open for bed. They set up a 5th section over 35 minutes ago and hasn't called one person to get a bed in that section. This facility is time consuming and the customers time is definitely not valued here. Staff standing around having conversations. Going on break and
Long wait time. I've never been here for less than an hour. There are days when I am here for 2 hours for a regular donation.
First and foremost, this was my first visit in three months after I had stopped coming due to frustration with long waits and I was at the center for THREE hours! My very first donation didn't even take this long!!! Your location is woefully understaffed and disorganized at best. I would absolutely love to know the reason why, after being assigned a bed, it took more than 30 minutes to actually be hooked up to the apheresis machine. And why again that someone who was shown to a bed 20 minutes AFTER me was h
The initial visit takes several hours (expected) but they are very thorough and the nurse is very kind and informative. The facility is really clean also. I have donated multiples times now and haven't waited more than 10 minutes. The staff is professional and check on you and always tell you to let them know if you need something. My experience has actually been very good.
Almost 40 donors in line with one attendant doing initial testing at 8:00am is unacceptable. Obviously you are aware of your appointments so staff accordingly. There were seven employees working the donor floor with approximately 35 donors in chairs. The ratios don't make sense. I watched one supervisor take a new donor and then walk around doing nothing until his next new donor. I watched another tall male employee walk from area to area doing menial tasks like stocking, visiting with someone in the back,
I have donated twice here and the third time was horrible. The lady that works there tried both of my arms and couldn't get the right flow. She didn't look when she was sticking my right arm and now my arm is bruised horribly and it hurts to the touch
I've been coming to this location since they've opened and it's continually getting worse. Vital screenings taking 30 or 40 minutes now because they are always understaffed. Employees lolly gagging around, and constantly taking breaks when lines for the vitals and beds are honestly too long. I've even asked employees that I've seen here for years and they can't give me a straight answer on why it had just been getting worse overtime. They either overbook or don't have enough on staff for the crowds at popu
The long wait times are always the problem and it still is probably happening just at different times during the day, but the last 2-3 times I've been in and out in under 90 minutes, in fact one morning I was in and out in under 1 hour. I've started dreading having to go because it is always a 2-2 1/2 hour trip but that's not been the case the last couple of weeks. I hope it stays like this. I mean the donation itself only takes 30-40 minutes so I think 1 - 1 1/2 hours is an acceptable amount of time to spe
There are only 2 people taking vitals? whhhyyy!!!! Y?all know how many people have appointments for that day and yet there is a line wrapped around the corner. I have been here since 10:23am and it is now 11:57am and still have about 8 people in front of me.. I stopped coming for this exactly reason I am about to spend 3 hrs here as a regular. Your employee david said to an employee who said something about not going to lunch because the line is so long and he said ?I do not care how long that line is I'm g
Short and quick lines. The wait was dependent on my blood flow not like other times where I was in the first line for 45 minutes and the waiting for a chair for an hour. So this visit was very satisfying! I'll be coming back more often. The other visits had severely impacted my experience. This is a great turn around
the staff is very kind and professional. They may however need additional training with the handling of the IVs and needles. after a procedure my arm was severely bruised and I am unable to continue donating until the bruising heals. my arm has been bruised multiple times and this time was excessive and debilitating.
Updating my review from one year ago. This place has improved a lot after giving them another chance. My visits are much faster and more efficient. I spend about an hour each visit, which is very reasonable. Also, the employees are quick to get you hooked up and out of there as soon as you're finished. There are times they are short staffed so it's important to be patient, but overall, a lot has changed! It makes donating a lot easier.
Just seems they are always understaffed and terrible time management. Everytime I come here it's a 2-3hr process?
The line to get screened is way to long. This is due to having to schedule an appointment. If given the option people would come in when it's more convenient instead of having to wait for a certain time. I get off work at 12 noon but I have to wait until 2pm because that was the earliest time available. By then 20 people showed up in front of my while I had to wait.
Waits have been longer than usual. Appointment was at 10:25 did not leave until after 1. Did have a problem today. Staff handled pretty good. I am not sure if I will ever donate again. It appears there has been a lot of turnover. The staff that has been there this last year are very friendly. I hope you can fix the wait times. Also if certain associates have reacquiring situations look into retraining. I am sure you do. Just wanted to say something. Sad that I had to miss work tonight due to not getting red
Every time you use your card they take 3 dollars. I just don't get it
This is the worst biolife I have been to. It takes anywhere from 2-3 hours to donate here. Each time I've came, I've had to wait at least an hour to get into a bed and get stuck, then when I finish donating it's about an additional 30 minutes of waiting to get unhooked from the machine. The staff drags their feet all day. On top of them being slow, they are horrible at communicating. They took a protein sample and they didnt tell me, and it took over a week to get the results. I called everyday after the we
I came in with a coupon for an additional $40 on top of my donation. I asked the manager prior to my donation how much I would be receiving, she advised me to ask my nurse who looked at my coupon and said I would be receiving $140 with the additional coupon. After yet another bad experience, taking way too long and pain and multiple jabs, I walk out of there with $40 loaded on my card. I wouldn't have went through all of that after my last experience, for $40. I had an agreed upon rate and it should be h
I've been coming here for about 4-6 months now and haven't really had any bad experiences. That was until today!! The absolute worst the first lady hurt me when sticking me with the needle she was extremely rough and saw I was in pain and cause a hemo almost instantly and walked away leaving the needle hanging from my arm for about 5 minutes before returning. She was pretty rude and seemed annoyed as if this was my fault. She then had someone else come and set me up in the other arm! When I was finished I w
Usually pretty quick on the days and times I go . Easy to sheldue and reschedule appointments. Staff is always cool. Just wished they offered a drink afterwards. Really need a drink when I'm done donating. Makes a big difference for myself.
What is the point of making an appointment if you still have to wait an hour PLUS to be seen? It just doesn't make sense to me!!! Why do y?all overbook like that? If I said I can donate at 6:15, what makes y?all think I want to be getting started at 7:15? I'm just wondering what is the whole point of an appointment? Confused!
Very courteous and knowledgeable staff. Friendly at all points and took time to explain thoroughly since I was a first time donor. Long morning for first visit so plan ahead but to be expected. No complaints at all. Staff was very busy yet stayed extremely professional at all points.
They NEVER answer the phone or call people back. I had to submit paperwork to my psychologist in order to get cleared for donating and didn't hear anything back from them for a week after i gave my doctor the paperwork which she informed me was faxed back to biolife the same day. Tried to call to reschedule appointments due to their glitchy app and can never get ahold of a human being. If you work a public service job LEARN TO ANSWER THE DAMN PHONE!!!!
Not a bad experience since attending the location i go to. The lines at times can get long but is expected.
This one-star rating is less about the staff and people but rather the process. Lately, there has been a wait time of over 2 hours, which is quite frustrating considering this place is advertised as having a 1-hour to 90-minute wait time. They either need to reduce the number of appointments or find an alternative solution. I genuinely appreciate the people working there; they are kind and seem to be doing their best. However, it appears that there are significant issues within the corporate structure.
The wait times have become absurd. I pump very fast. 30 minutes tops. 99% of the time I come here I am here at least 2 hours. They frequently have a line for screening of 25+ people and only 2 employees at the front. If they're short staffed, I understand but then they shouldn't have so many appointments available. As I write this I am sitting in the waiting area. I signed in at 1pm and as of 1:59pm I am still waiting and not even next in line to be called. Also it is Saturday and this is their ?fastest? da
I had no idea the line was going to be so long with an appointment. I donate my blood regularly. Had a friend suggest I sell my plasma instead. I guess it would be better if I had some homework or documents to work on. The amount of money they pay each session doesn't equate to my time. I can make more money. I can make more time. Also I did not understand the way the pay works. Whatever ?promotion? they have is paid out in sections each time you donate.
The staff is the best! They are so efficient and really kind! This is just a busy location and it's unfortunate it took an hour of waiting in line and finally seeing a nurse before I could get into a chair to actually donate. I blame no one. It's unfortunate it takes so long but I also understand that it's a busy spot. Really glad I can donate and help in this way!
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
