What a great place to be. How great all the plobotomist managers and nurses are. How they treat all there Plasma Doners with so much care. There in such a way to be a center full of professionalism and gratitude. A center full of life saver's helping to treat a world full of patients. A Okay ????????????????
The workers will make up stories and have all the workers back it up just because they can't handle working in a field that does require some customer service. The place is disorganized and has no structure people coming in and out causing long wait times even with appointments. I have been poked horribly by inexperienced people that caused bruising in my arm. They reuse the same gloves in between people as well. The place needs better management preferably someone who is old enough to even have a serious c
This company I believe discriminated against me for having a facial deformity. 2 injuries in 3 donations. I don't recommend this company. The employees look hateful and I didn't feel safe at all. I saw another person having a medical emergency during my last time being injured and not able to donate (or get paid) so don't come here for your safety is my experience.
Staff are speedy, kind, and attentive. Just remember there are period of the day when they get busy so please, take it from me. Ensure you drink a gallon of water the previous day and eat well the night before donation, avoid fatty foods
This place is getto. When you are the one helping yourself by donating plasma for others. They act as if you are the one getting a favor. They always put hurdles in front of me to be able to donate. Until finally I got deferred for no fault of mine. They were the ones with poor professional work ethnic. I recently began going to a much more pro place. Come to find out that I could not be donating because of Low protein in my blood. I asked why BioLife never said anything. The response was that all they know
I came for my appointment last Friday at 530pm and was unaware they closed at 6 on fridays. My appointment lasted untill 7 so I had apologized and felt bad for the staff. I wouldn't recommend making an appointment that late on an early close day, but the staff was extremely patient and kind so I wanted to leave a review. I also wanted to say to the doctors in the back, the staff up front and the staff that works on the machines, that your kindness and great work ethic is never undervalued when I come in and
Just finished my second visit to Avondale BioLife and I would absolutely recommend donating plasma here. Everyone has been very kind, especially Malajha! Very sweet, understanding, and patient. Expect to wait a bit and you will be fine. My first visit included a once-a-year physical and I was here a total of 2 hours. My second visit had a couple hiccups (my pulse was too high so I had to wait a bit, I had to have a bruise checked.. things like that) and I was there 80 mins. They were packed this second tim
Giving the plasma is easy. It usually takes less than an hour if it isn't peak hours. The staff is well trained and polite. The pay card however, is horrible. Places don't take it, or an ATM doesn't recognize it, or as in my case you transfer the money to your bank account and it disappears with no explanation. Phone support is a joke. So, enter at your own risk.
Great, decent place to donate, hit or miss on workers, but 1 Girl named Italia was outstanding, caring and checking up on me and other patients, very mindful and made the experience so much more easier. Give her a raise. 5 star donation
I have been going for few months now. Facility is clean and kept up so it doesn't make you feel dingy. Staff is great and helpful with any questions asked. Process is smooth, just have to be patient sometimes. Beautiful atmosphere, beautiful vibes & i do recommend to others. "I donate so others can smile"
It was my first time donating and they gave me all the information I needed and considering how many people they deal with daily they were really friendly and nice and patient. Granite I did go early but I think the staff was great. The girl at the desk meh not so much but everyone else, perfect.
Facility always extremely clean! Staff are all very pleasant, helpful, and professional. Only problem is that the phone is never answered and if you leave a message you never receive a reply. Otherwise it'd be 5 stars!
I was shocked that it wasnt until they hooked me up to see they substantially increased the amount of plasma taken without notifying me. Left me wiped out for 2 days. I will not donate again without a larger payment
They say that need blood and donors but turned me away from having my daughter with me. They must not need blood after all. Waste of time. I've never been turned away for a doctors appointment with my toddler. Makes no sense. Will donate somewhere else
Miayah consistently creates a positive and enjoyable experience for me at BioLife. She maintains a great attitude, even in challenging situations, and is always professional, despite the pressures from leadership. Her ability to make every donor feel welcome and her skill in engaging with them is truly commendable
This was my first time donating plasma, and I was a little nervous. Emma and Prima absolutely made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions with a smile. Thank you guys
friendly helpful staff. Very professional, in and out excellent service. I recommend this location over the other 2 I been too.
The staff is good at what they do. From intake to needle insertion the flow is generally seamless with few hiccups. Highly recommended!
I called prior to appointment because I take insulin. Was told I would be ok. Went in did the whole process and in final step which was at 1pm and appointment started 11:30am was told I couldn't donate cause I take insulin. Such a waste of time and misinformation. The dose does not matter insulin goes into platelets which disqualifies you.
Last visit I had a pretty smooth donation all the way up until some little girl with her 5 seizes too big nurse coat decided to be petty once I was finished. I had said nothing the whole time, bothered nobody. Got don't very quick. Did everything I was supposed to do never disrespecting anyone: all I did was ask if someone was going to release me because I had to use the restroom extremely bad. Another patient and I had finished at pretty much the same time. He has gotten there after me so he was done a lit
We need a location in Buckeye! My husband and I both used to go when we lived in Avondale, but we stopped going when we moved out here. We were recently talking about how they should build one out here. Would be super convenient ????
THE GIRLS THAT WORK HERE ARE OUTSTANDING AND GREAT ! I Yes the staff members are very helpful in taking all safe precautions caution safety measures properly done in the right ways ! I'm very satisfied with there works and efforts ! Ladies keep up the good work !! ALSO I MUST SAY NOT ONLY DO THEY TREAT YOU LIKE A ANGEL SENT FROM GOD BUT SOME LOOK LIKE REAL ANGELS WHO FEEL FROM HEAVEN ?? ??
I just recently started at the Avondale location donating. I used to go to Tempe for a few years then moved to Avondale. The staff is great here and very helpful. Great location and always lots of appointments available! Also a great app!!!
No regards for others, refused to let a 7 month old inside for bathroom so I can change her diaper let alone be inside at all. It's too hot outside for them to be acting like it's a safety hazard when it's more dangerous to be stuck in the heat with an infant
Warning this Location has a no glove change between customer policy* (not all Biolifes are run like this) If you're looking for a side gig to make an extra spending money it's decent for 2 hrs twice a week. If you're looking for consistent additional income, I wouldn't recommend it. Between very reactive management causing delays - Staff training is at your expense so if you're screened incorrectly (no do over) or if they mess up finding a vein can cost you $$ and prevent you from donating consistently.
Whitney is great. She can stick you and you barley feel it. Everyone at this location is friendly.
I donated here two days ago and I have not yet to receive my money every time I call up there no one answers the phone. I've only talked to one person and she could care less if I got my money or not.
The staff is super professional and caring. Had 4 wonderful experiences this month and look forward to more??
I went to the chair and waited 20 minutes until the phlebotomist put the blood pressure cuff on me. Then she walked away and another 10 minutes passed. At this point I got up and left.
Avondale Overall, I feel like it's a worthwhile experience as long as both donations within a week are completed. The wait time for screening, wait time for a chair, and hookup time isn't long. The staff here is polite, professional, and pleasant. They seem to make efficient use of their time and materials
They are very friendly. The people are extremely nice. I have never had a bad experience there. However, I do hate that if for some reason you are unable to donate that day, such as protein level not high enough, they still count it as a visit. You are only allowed 2 visits a week weather you are able to donate or not. Since the visit you were declined at counts you are only able to donate 1 time that week.
I spoke with the tech, several times making him aware the machine kept going red,and making noise , He informed me that the machine tend to Malfunction, I brought it to the techs attention, My arm was hurting , He called the attending nurse She informed me that I would be deferred until further notice
I started going to BioLife late July and I each time I go there I have had a great experience , no problems. All the nurses are friendly and when I had questions regarding something they were easy to talk to.
If I could give zero starts I would ive been trying to get in contact with them for weeks on end now (ive left over a dozen voicemails) ive even had other locations in the valley reach out on my behalf and send ?urgent? emails and messages to the team and ive never gotten a response I see everyone talking abt how great staff is all ive had is nothing I cant even say horrible customer service bc ive got NO SERVICE PERIOD
Everyone that worked there was very pleasant. The facility was very clean and the process was very organized.
As a long time donor the Avondale location is always a great experience. Staff is kind, courteous and professional. I'm not the easiest person to "stick" so I have my regulars that I request when available. Can't thank them enough !
3x wasted attempting to donate ..Sat foe 30 minutes after my appointed time. When I got up to ask why I'm being skipped the dingbats up front didn't have me sign up on a wooden check in paper had I not said anything I would have never been seen... not worth the time with the dysfunctional team
I donated at 10am this morning it's now 645pm still haven't gotten paid. They never answer and when they do they are rude. They lie and say it could take up too 1-2 hours. After the wait it's 3-4 hours. It's been almost 8 hours. I've donated at another center for 4 years and never experienced this. I normally don't do reviews but this place is so horrible. The management don't care while driving there expensive cars they get from our donation. Pathetic
I had a pleasant first time. It is a fast paced environment. Definitely schedule an appointment and be kind to the workers.
Equipment was faulty and broke during my donation. If the equipment breaks down while I'm donating. I should receive compensation for the 60 days that I am unable to donate. That is only fair. I am being punished because your machine is defective. Now for 60 days I can't pay my bills I expected to use this money for. Great staff but us donors need to be compensated at least 4 full weeks while we wait to return to donate. I can't go anywhere else I lost blood. It was also the second higher paid donation of t
It is becoming increasingly difficult to commit to regular donations because of how long it takes to complete the process. I typically set my appointments for the time the center opens. It went from taking about an hour to complete a donation to two hours or longer not including drive time.
I really think this center is one of the best that I've ever been to. Everyone is so informative, polite and really care about their donors. It's nice and clean, always some good tunes on. I want to give a shout out to Gloria, she is by far the best phlebotomist there! She always gets me through a successful donation, I can't even feel the needle when it goes in! Thank you! ?? I appreciate everyone at Bio Life ??
The employees here make me uncomfortable. I don't want to hear you're sorry. You guys need to find out what's going on. *Update* Cynthia gave me incorrect information and has denied me twice. She me to bring in a piece of mail, then when I did she said she needs a bill. I am not a new donar, and the mail I brought was the same address from the last time I donated. Cynthia is the reason for my original post from 8 months ago. Seems she sought me out both times just to deny me herself. I guess 8 months isn'
The technician was great with regards to making sure I was okay and comfortable. The only thing I don't like is the fact they don't ask for help when dealing with a client's difficult veins and proceeds to blowout it out causing a hematoma. This occurrence is happening more frequently with all the new hires.
They are very professional and friendly with donors but they do get busy so come early I also suggest you book your appointment in advance because the time slots fill up quick also recently they have been overbooking or understaffed and it's really disappointing the line when you walk in it almost makes me want to go somewhere else
This was my first time donating plasma and it was amazing. The workers are so friendly and welcoming that I'm excited for my next donation!
The donation floor manager should not be responsible for a section of donors waiting to get poked. They are not his priority as he kept getting pulled away to handle other donors around the floor when their attending employee needed help. I sat in the chair for 50 minutes waiting to start my donation being told that I was next after every fire he had to go and put out. Finally another employee came and got me started but people that came in after are leaving before me all because they don't have their emplo
Typically I always have a great experience but not today. my appointment was at 3:55, I have just been seated and its 5pm. 2 new patients were added in front of the line when there was just one person in front of me so I had to wait for 3 people to be seated before I can be seated. I understand that new patients have priority to be next in line after their physical but it is not fair to us the ones that have been waiting for a long time to be seated then wait even more. I walked out 10 mins after I was sea
The staff are professional and friendly, i really appreciate the nurse calling me the next day to check on me, they are amazing!!
Not everyone is trained the same way for processing some people know more than others. They do not give out snacks or fluids after your first visit. The more they get comfortable with you the less professionalism they will have. They are very sweet and quick with your first visit, but after that, they don't care for your safety after you donate. They tell you that you can just leave instead of waiting the 15 minutes. On my second visit, I tried to wait and asked for a snack and some fluids before I made my
I want to say theres a great skilled staff at this facility. My major concern is that the vital staff does not change their gloves between donors. I spoke to a nurse and he informed me that they are only to change them if they become contaminated or maybe every 2/3 uses? that concerns me
You lady's and gents are awesome. I really appreciate you getting me in and out and all your hard work??
The staff here are patient, attentive bubbly, quirky, and compassionate. P.s. Have you seen the afternoon staff?? ??????
Great experience here at this location, actually at all locations I've been too. Safe clean and friendly staff. I enjoy going to my appointments it's definitely not for the money it's more to help people that are in need honestly, I get to catch up on things while I sit and do my donation, the staff always take great care of me. I have only good things to say about this place as it's a little get away to slow things down in life for a brief moment. And the pay is generous for your time.
Employees do NOT change gloves after touching blood. This is a serious health concern.
I appreciate the staff at this location they are always so welcoming and friendly. I sincerely feel as this is my home away from home. The environment is clean and the wait is minimal. I aim to make a difference and be different and BioLife makes this possible I am grateful to be a part of this organization!
even though it was my first time it was quick and I was well taken care of every step of the way thank you and the staff was all very nice
Very nice employees, the service I received was amazing. I wouldn't have asked for a better visit!
The staff is regularly overworked and can make it uncomfortable when they are establishing the initial screening while their conversations with each other do nothing to put the donor at ease. It creates high anxiety and I am regularly turned away with high pulse bc of how I feel going into that crowd. Between complaints from staff I listen to regularly while standing in line, to the fast paced of in and out with short handed staff options has made it difficult to even consider going to that location anymore
This location could be much better if the bathrooms were clean. They are disgusting and one stall in the women?s bathroom is broken.
I've been here a few times now and will continue to go back! Everyone here has been so nice and extremely helpful and has calmed any amount of nerves that I could possibly had. Every person I have interacted with has been nothing but nice in any way shape or form! I have yet to have any issues and will update my review if I ever ever do but for now this place is great!
AVONDALE BIOLIFE Very Unprofessional environment. Seems understaffed up front & no one answers the phone which seems to be ok with everyone else including management. Most of the floor staff is very young and you can tell by the way they carry themselves & their attitudes. If you have an issue with the machine process like it's shuddering and the needle becomes uncomfortable 98% of the time they will tell you it's supposed to do that whether it hurts or not...The Glendale location will do whatever they can
Was ok. They just need a sign up to tell NEW customers what to do. All staff were fantastic
WAY TOO MANY PROBLEMS!!! Was NEVER told that they do labs every 4 months. Which is bullcrap because I've been coming for awhile. The only thing they tell you is that typical you need to weight above this or under than, BP needs to read in a certain range and your temp has to be in a certain range and that you have to do a physical every year. NEVER that they do labs every 4 months. They randomly do labs and won't notify you that they are doing it and then your appts get removed and you're wondering why? An
first donation and the machine goes off, vitals were great, donation was going well, i dont know why but i got differed the whole month of my promotional pay because of a blood test, everything came back good and promotion no longer available. Havent been back since the whole situation was kinda sus and grimey. had to call to get a pay adjustment, they only gave me 20 when it was suppose to be 100. I doubt ill donate at this biolife ever again.
I went three consecutive times and unfortantely my last appt was my last. My most recent appt was a very scary experience. They had to stop my donation early due to machine malfunctions and had to switch from my left arm to my right arm so that the machine could finish the process of returning my red blood cells (which they couldnt get to work). When they punctured my right arm i instantly felt very unwell and felt like i was going to pass out. it took abt five minutes for the feeling to go away and i am cu
I would give them 5 stars if the app allowed you to reschedule appointments better and transferring funds from your card they give you to your bank account was easier. When you need to reschedule an appointment it still tells you that you've ?maxed out? your days for the week. It's very frustrating when you need to make an adjustment. The card they give you is inconvenient. It would be nice if there was a simple way to transfer the funds or withdraw them from an ATM without a fee.
Things went smoothly from start to finish..they had nice music playing It was a relaxing. BioLife plasma services is the place to go for donating...??
The staff was amazing and helpful and courteous and professional I appreciate that kind of effort and kindness to make sure you are taking care of.....
They added over 6 ounces of plasma per person and won't compensate you for you time.
First time. They were busy. Short staffed. But would not know it. Very professional. Good experience.
First time going into BioLife near 107th in Avondale, was super awesome. Love the atmosphere and the professionalism. Speaking of professionalism, Valina Perez <3, was just that and much more. Very patient, considerate, and compassionate about my questions and needs. Very punctual and kind as well. I WILL be coming back and referring anyone interested in donating or acquiring information referring to plasma. Again THANK YOU Valina Perez, BioLife as a whole. So very much for not only keeping me educated in t
It's was busy but the staff is so friendly and efficient, that it went much faster than I anticipated.
All of the stagg are very friendly and will answer any questions you may have. They made me as.comfortable as possible.
When I walked in for my appointment, I noticed that Diana the front lady was talking to some men and when they left I looked at her waiting for a greeting or something, so I told her good morning and then she finally says something. So I'm standing there looking for a sign in sheet or something and I'm looking at her like what do I do. She proceeded to ask for my social security card and I'm like ok this is how they greet their soon to be new pts, she didn't even ask if I was a new patient, so I gave her al
Tried to donate today and was denied . I'ma say the receptionist girl definitely has a ethical issue with some of the customers. She seem to make very prejudice decisions to stop certain people from donating. Somethings weren't clear . You need Irs Transcipts with your social number on it. No ripped Social security cards and I'd and or birth certificate. Hope this review saves you time n travel when donating at bio.
The lady in the front should?ve got her name is really rude. My appointment was at 11:40 I came on time and checked in did the questionnaire and it asked me if I had a physical scheduled and then was told I had to check in the front which I didn't know so that my fault on my part, but she was accusing me of being late and lying. I know she saw me sitting next to the person doing the questionnaire because she was explaining it to him. You don't need to be rude like that.
I felt very comfortable and safe going in for my first time donating plasma. I wasn't feeling very good towards the end and the technicians and nurse there were absolutely amazing! I will continue to go to the Avondale center and I know the team there is amazing!!
staff overall are short and dont give a F , dumb 20 year olds who are their 4 the paycheck, if you complain they give you a strike , waiting forever in chair for donation , " hello , can i start my donation? " , (stop cleaning the other chair dingbat , you can do that while im donating, ) ...all of their procedures are inefficient, like they can see the results in the computer but now you need to go away in a hallway and wait for 20 minutes, and then the nurse has to look on her computer and realize that
I will be switching locations. I don't like the ladies up front they are very short and kind of rude and have personal conversations infront of everyone standing in line making it awkward. I went in the other day and asked if they change gloves or sanitize in between clients and they said no. To me, that's disgusting and shouldn't be allowed, they're literally dealing with blood then touching the next person in line with dirty gloves. I had an appt at 930am and wasn't seated until 11am. What's the point of
Very frustrating experience I've already donated here before and I was the first one in to donate. Wouldn't let me sign in because they lost my social security paper! Then they kept sending me around the ringer because they were clues to what they were doing. Manger didn't log out of my account and they kept sending me around like fish out of water not knowing what to do. Every front desk member was very rude. Disgusting experience. I'll probably never go back.thanks for wasting my time
I had an appointment for a first time donor and was checked in late. The monitor /kiosk stations you answer questions on are horrible, These terminal are very non responsive and the keyboards are filthy and it took to long to be disconnected after donation was complete. The plasma center I came from are noticeably better in these areas. Also the employee who checked me in is not really a people person In my opinion.
Usually I have little to no trouble here bit I've scheduled 5 appointments online, which are all before my physical required date, and I tried coming in today to start my donations for a promotion I was offered, bit when I tried the questionnaire it told me I needed to do a physical before I could donate. Why does the app let me schedule appointments when after I get here it then tells me I need a physical. I just wasted my time driving 30 minutes to try and donate and can't use the promotion, lose out on m
The employees who do the blood pressure checks and finger pokes do NOT change their gloves in between donors!!! I asked why and they said they change them every time there is visible blood or every 10 donors? the associates protect themselves but not the donors? Also any medical place KNOWS 75% of pathogens aren't visible to the naked eye. Who approved this?
The facility was nice- what I would call healthcare clean. The employees -- i had contact with 3-- The young lady that poked my finger and tested my blood was very soft spoken and smiled when she talked ( sorry i only remember one persons name i was only there for 45 minutes ) she explained everything clearly and repeated things several times due to my "classic" ears :) and sincerely didn't seem to mind at all. She gets 5 stars for smiling and repeating info untill I was comfortable with the testing process
They have no sense of urgency at this location what so ever. Appt was at 8:35 and it's 9:45 and still not hooked up. Been on the donation floor for almost 30 months and not hooked up what's the point of having appointments if your not even gonna follow it it's getting ridiculous
everytime i come here i have a poor experience. today i had an appointment 6:25pm. i arrived at 6:15 to get my pre-screening completed. my fingerprint wouldn't work and NO ONE wanted to help me. 6:25 came and went and i was told i wasn't going to be able to be seen. i drove 30 MF MINUTES OUT OF MY WAY TO BE HERE TO DONATE AND GOT HERE EARLY! just to be turned away because of an error THEY HAD! never ever ever donating here again. gonna try CSL from here on out. the staff at this location is absolutely awful
These last few times I had donated, I always left with bruises, some of the phlebotomist are not fully trained in my opinion. Very rough and always seems to mess up my arms. My veins are always sore when I leave. It's gonna be awhile before I can trust them again.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
