My experience donating plasma at this location have all been great! I'm only deducting a star due to the amount of time your visit can take. It can be quick as 45 minutes or up to 3 hours. There's multiple variables that go into this and they're mostly out of the control of the staff. Tips: Budget your time appropriately (potentially half your day) and be kind and respectful to the staff. They're actual licensed healthcare professionals and they're there to assist you!

I showed up 18 minutes early to my appointment and went inside to cool off because I walk to the Bakersfield BioLife and it was 99? outside. The waiting room was empty, but the manager told me I wasn't allowed to sit there because it was ?for new donors only.? There's no sign saying that, and I was just trying not to get deferred for high blood pressure or pulse from the heat. I explained that I don't have a car or AC, and the manager was super rude and wouldn't even listen. You wouldn't get this kind of t

1st visit was nice, straight forward help with no issues. - Update: 1 month later. The place is clean and the staff is nice, BUT their scheduling SUCKS! even after my first visit the process isn't "faster". I have to wait about an hour and a half during my appt. Even when I come in early to check in, embarrassing. The care for their patients is there and nice and I can see how well they all get a long, so that service is great.

The center is always clean and organized. As well, the staff is friendly, professional and very welcoming. They are very informative and always check on your well being. Don't be so rude with them for the waiting time, I'm pretty sure they're doing the best to get the job done the right way and as fast as they can.

All the staff is always kind to me. They respond to my questions quick and in a respectful way. Obviously nobody likes to wait too long but this location makes the wait shorter and pleasant with music of all kinds

They are an amazing establishment. Third facility is clean, organized, and professional. I have had a very positive experience and will continue to donate.

So I enjoy donating here but don't enjoy having to wait longer than I should because new employees flirt and they get easily distracted and forget the fact they are at work and not at a social gathering. Get your employees more involved in the job and not eachother. Keep the flirting and outside life stuff outside of work. Cool that's all

Sundays are a good day to donate. No wait to do the screening and only a little bit of a wait to get hooked up and started. I don't know the young man?s name that helped me today but man he is FANTASTIC. The initial poke was spot on- no pain or discomfort whatsoever. When I was done he was quick and painless to do the disconnect. Today was a good experience

First time here, it was a very calm and straightforward experience! Everyone was friendly, the nurses like Andrew and Jessica made this much easier for me. Everyone was also very thorough with answers to any questions I had! Most definitely recommend anyone looking to o donate plasma to go here as I will be coming back regularly!

All of the employees are always so sweet and welcoming. Tone is always in such a great mood and goes out of his way to make people smile. I'm a difficult stick and Jaylene gets me everytime!

Tony aka Dr. acula was very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable while taking my blood. Very clean and sanitary, even made sure to his two teeth were clean before biting. arrived for 6:20am appointment this morning 15min early. doors opened at 6:35am and we were told in line that a computer system update was needed but the IT people wouldnt be available til noon. This was done with no notice , no other explanation given except ?youre welcome to reschedule or wait out here til then? there are now no available appointments and have not been able to get in contact with anyone on their phone. Yes this is a very clean facility,but most of the staff usually complain about how little they get paid & how redundant their job is & in turn it shows in their attitudes & respect of people's time. If you have a suggestion or question anything, you recieve a take it or leave it attitude, & a floor supervisor who said in regards to my time after a fault with their computer system, " Your still gonna get poked either way." My experience at BioLife has been great. I love that I can come in to an environment that's Polite and friendly. Once you come in you feel like a member of a team. To save a life and be able to give to your community. I am very happy to be donating to BioLife. I recommend my family and friends.

My experience was poor I give this business. No rate a girl with glass told the company I hit her I told the ppl she was hurting my arm n I just move her hand from were she stick me I donate before it never hurted the way she stick me n she just laughed at me so I they kicked me out I no longer can Donte there I made a complaint but still kick me out she left me a big bruise there are always to side of a story this business is no good they deserve 0

Awesome staff.. they do the best they can with what the situation is. It is very busy at times but they are very good with communicating with us especially Tony!!! Satisfied every tome.

Horrible wait time. comparing biolife to octapharma . Octapharma's wait time is less than needed on top of that you can respond to the questions before you even hit the facility in the mobile app. Have better perks and is more staffed. Comparing biolife they are understaffed , make you do a questionnaire in doors before you hit the bed. The wait time for in line is longer. need more machines and staff , or a better way to serve their donors better. New doner benefits is subpar compared to octapharma's new

Update: Today I was scheduled for my appointment at 2:00 pm. Waited in line for 30 minutes and then been told, "No more donations because we are under staff and no $20 vouchers." They close at 3 pm. Why no voucher? "Because new management said NO." Every time I finish donating, I wait to be unhooked from the machine. They skip me multiple times. Today, they took 20 minutes to unhook me, and it wasn't busy.

Terrible customer service by the entire place. Super under staffed and very poor management. One nurse per 16 people that just leaves to the next section to help people that came after you and left before as well because they ignore patient people. Can't have at least one nurse per section, but can pay multiple lazy management to just stare at you while the they do absolutely nothing to help their trainees or anyone. ????????????????

Usually the time waiting to donate is not too long . Most of the employees are very nice and profession also helpful as well. Compared to the other donation center I tried I prefer this place.

Clean and friendly facility, but do not be late because they will make you reschedule! I'm updating my from 4 stars to 1! After being a regular donor for months now. My arm and veins have been messed up by new, seemingly unexperienced staff members. I walk in positive happy attitude fully hydrated and ready to donate. I leave with my arm burning, leaking from not being wrapped correctly. Bruised and hematoma as wide my palm. Now I am deferred for 8 weeks because they have damaged my veins and they. Need

I started coming to Biolife to help save lives. I know that what I can do to contribute is to help cancer patients . My wife actually has cancer so here I am because I know the need. The staff is prepared with knowledgeable professionals and they are very attentive if you have any questions or concerns before, during and after donating.

The staff is helpful and joyful in the experiences I've had here. Great management and nurses all around. Fingers crossed I haven't had a missed vein yet and I won't in the future.

Once you pass your vitals? The wait time to be hooked up is ridiculously long. Although there's plenty of chairs to be seated The chairs aren't all being used And once you get to a chair to be hooked up it takes another twenty minutes before we're hooked up to donate Need more staff and/or better staff

I wanna give a positive review for tony aka Anthony. He is always going above and beyond to assist and make sure everyone is hooked up correctly ect. There is low staff and he is literally everywhere at once to ensure everyone is taking care of in a timely manner. Tony deserves a raise

The only time I give this place a 5 is when Tony is working, he is very nice and knows how to get the blood flowing even with deep veins! Last time I went Tony had sat me down and then took his break, there were two other phlebotomists. They were standing around, moving very slowly, and speaking to other workers just wasting time. Once Tony was off of his break he had things going, he acknowledged that I had yet to be assisted, he apologized for the wait time, and was talking me through the process. He show

I enjoy coming to donate. All of the staff are amazing. I have been coming here for a while now and have never had a bad experience. I'd recommend BioLife to anyone who has or has never donated plasma.

As a first time donor I was afraid, nervous and frustrated with not being able to donate on done visits . The entire staff has always been calm, pleasant and helpful . They are very happy to educate you as they go along explaining the process .

Was a great experience here Ally did my vitals, Jackie with her name on her cup lol did my physical part and Brittany did a great job reminding me of the plasma procedure and did my arm stick This is a great pace to do plasma at great staff great work ethic and very clean.

I started coming to pay off my PG&E bill after the summer, now I keep coming for some extra spending money. Its also rewarding to find out how many patients were treated with my plasma. S/O to Tony!

Always a great experience. It can get really busy at times but all of the employees are very professional and nice.

They are super understaffed, the company needs to pay their employees more and hire remote employees to come work at this location. Lines are crazy, they don't even have time to clean up spills on the floor and the wait looks like 2+ hours. very different from Los Angeles location. This is my first and probably the last time I'll ever visit here. Thank you to employees here for still being nice in such a stressful situation.

Everyone is so friendly at the Ming location. As long as you get in plenty of fluid and eat a good meal prior to donating, your in and out.

Last week before my donation i had extra blood withdrawal for further testing. I completed my donation on Sunday. Went in for my schedule donation on Friday, but was inform that my test results never come back so it wasn't able to donate today. So I wasted time and gas because Biolife failed to inform me not to come in. They need better about informing their customers.
