My overall experience with BioLife Plasma Services started out extremely well. I successfully completed three donations with no problems at all. Each visit was handled with care, and the financial compensation was a much-needed support system for me during a difficult period. It gave me a sense of dignity to earn money legally and safely, especially as someone facing homelessness and unemployment?not due to poor choices but due to tough circumstances. However, my fourth attempt to donate changed my outloo

I started donating in July of 2024. Since I've been going, I don't have a single thing to complain about. The staff is very friendly and comforting; they accommodate when they can. I'm very grateful that this service exists to help people needing plasma and helping those who need to make some extra money. I hear "win-win" a lot, and it's true! Thank you to the staff for all you do- you help a lot of people! Edited for spelling

It was my first time donating plasma and I was a little weary. When I first entered the Bellingham location, JJ was first person I saw - he greeted me with a big smile and guided me thru the whole process, answering all my questions in a reassuring manner. I was impressed with his customer service skills - he's definitely it the right job. To be honest, everyone I interacted with was great - they do a good job at the Bellingham location. It feels good to provide for others in need.

I donated for the first time today and ended up having a moderate citrate reaction. I began shaking uncontrollably for about half an hour, and the team responded immediately when I mentioned something was wrong. They stayed with me and made sure I was well taken care of. They made me feel calm and secure, even though this scary thing was happening. Through my muscle contractions and shaking, I was able to laugh with them; they made me feel safe. Everyone had a wonderful attitude, and their attention to dono

I have been going here on and off for 10 years and there has never been a real issue with this building. From the friendly staff to the ease of the operation itself, this place will make you so comfortable with the process that it'll become a second nature as if it were knowing to breathe. Very highly recommended for any plasma donation needs

Went in, usually the process is straight forward but this time they told me I couldn't use my usual arm because of a bruise that was almost done healing. So they had me get my arms checked then had me use my other arm only for the person who came to hook me in to not quite stick the landing and have me use the arm I wanted to initially. All in all not a bad place but they still have things they need to work on and people they need to get leveled out in training and experience.

I've been going there for monthsss! Never once had any issues. Staff has always been top notch. Normally don't write reviews but I felt like I had to after this experience. I did go in on a weekend which I normally don't do and I dealt with a woman by the name of Kacey. I don't know if she was just having a bad day but she was cold and short while talking. Oh my goodness never have a met someone that worked in the medical field act the way she did. Extremely dismissive, couldn't crack a smile for anything,

I decided to donate because a close friend of mine has been a long term donor without issues so I agreed to try it out. My first appt went ok and I felt like this wouldn't be so bad. I am healthy, fit, zero issues. Big veins. However on my 2nd donation, the girl placing the needle did not know what she was doing. When she placed the needle it really stung but she said it would subside soon. I hung in there. About 2 min into the process my vein starting forming a HUGE bubble and it was insanely painful. I he

Nice enough but didn't pay enough attention during the process. I didn't know the needle wasn't supposed to be shaking which it did quite a few times. It caused physical reactions and I was forced to stay for monitoring. First and last time.

Absolutely wonderful and professional. Happy to help others in need.

As uncomfortable as it is getting blood drawn from your vein, all the doctors, nurses, assistants were all very pleasant and made the whole experience a lot more enjoyable. They made me feel so comfortable and safe. Encourage me to keep doing this as a regular thing knowing my body will eventually get over first time donating

I would have appreciated knowing upfront what the compensation is. Whenever I asked, no one would tell me, or even give me an estimate. In 2007 it was $50 cash under the table. For all the folderol 18 years later, compensation for 90 minutes of my time is a taxable $39 with fees up the yippy every time you use the "card." A monthly $3 fee for the card itself, a $1.95 fee to transfer it to your bank, a 20% fee to use at restaurants, fees to use it everywhere. Very quickly, that taxable $39 is obliterated by

The staff were kind and helpful. They answered all my questions and though I was a bit anxious they did their best to help ease that, which helped me alot! The first visit took a bit longer but they are very thorough when it comes to your health and safety.

Great service, but am still unable to donate because of a hematoma infection I got from my 5th donation. I was depending on my money but now can't get the payout because my arm is still black and blue all over - still can't move. I should have been compensated for my medical bills for the infection and the missed donations.

Sat for 30 minutes to see the nurse about my arm then told to leave because I sneezed one time and that I'm sick. Sneezing once doesn't make me sick especially on a cold rainy day.

I want to say the associates are always friendly and my ratings has nothing to do with them. My rating is for the fact I been giving for almost 2 years and had my yearly physical. Well I said everything i said when I first started. Well I'm now banned from giving for life. Since something I had mentioned in the beginning and had no issues with and apparently wasn't on my previous physical notes. Something that happened 30 years ago and I'm 100% fine and healthy. The Way I was told also was dismissive and h

Their materials and their app say that a physical is valid for a year. Despite having had my physical in June, I was told I couldn't donate this morning without another physical. I was then told that my physical lapsed, because I had not donated in six months. I asked when my last donation was, and they told me August. It is January, so August is less than six months ago. Nothing on their app or website indicates that physicals expire before a year is done, so I do not know if I was being told the truth or

I have been a dedicated donor, but when I run into painful experience repeatedly, I tend to fear for my life because of this mistake, and it was made during busy hour. Please don't get me wrong. I love to donate Plaza to help those who are in need. I am in American Red Cross disaster responder, but when this continue to happen, it makes it hard for a person like me to wanna come back to There must be a better way to ensure that this doesn't happen to others and it seems that this is part of the big picture.

Told me I have HIV!? I got 4 different blood panels as well as comprehensive metabolic panels and numerous uranalysis testing. All doctors said there was no way I had HIV and everything pointed to a negative result and a false diagnosis. How do you even mistake HIV?

Everyone is very professional and friendly, the only thing I would say that they could make better is better perks for loyal return donors. You get paid a lot at first but then it goes down over time I think there should be more incentive for return donors.

Staff was helpful, the facility was clean. I will go back, I'm fortunate for the opportunity to donate.

The service here is great however these ?professionals? seem to have no idea what they're doing. Upon my 4th visit I felt extremely uncomfortable and had 8 different people come and readjust my needle. My arm had shooting pain from top to bottom and after over an hour of this pain I finally started sobbing because it hurt so bad. At this point they finally released me and terminated my cycle but not without pumping me with saline first. This was extremely uncomfortable and I remained crying throughout this

I enjoy donating plasma at BioLife because the staff are friendly, care about your comfort while donating, and it is easy to fit into my week. Also, very happy to helping other live their best life ??!

I recently donated plasma at BioLife Plasma Services, and the experience was fantastic. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and professional. The facility was clean and comfortable, making the whole process easy. The customer service was exceptional. Every staff member was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about my comfort. They explained each step of the process clearly, which made me feel at ease. The donation itself was quick and painless, thanks to the skilled phlebotomists.

This facility never seems to have the time to call back their patients. Their mobile application is ridiculous and won't let you reschedule; even if you missed the appointment. Hope they have that fixed and they need to have receptionists! I donated two times before, the third donation I completed left me with hematomas and my arms are still internally bruised and it hurts sometimes to pickup things. Hurts to life my forearms to my biceps. Not sure what the lady?s name was that did the needle insert part b

I am pretty new to the whole donating plasma thing. Going on donation #3 this weekend. My first visit was the longest appointment. It was over the 2 hours they said it would take, once I got hooked up to the machine the whole process was painless. Second time donating was easy peasy. I can only donate on the weekends so that cuts into me being able to really capitalize on the monetary benefit. All in all clean building and bathrooms. Nice staff and I don't have to get multiple pokes which is a plus cause I

I'm at this place now and scheduled a 7am appointment and never done this before and they took my copies of my ss card and wahington state id then told I was ready to go in back so I told my wife to go to work while I do this and she leaves then another lady tells me she "thinks" i stay at motel even tho I have brand new state issued id she wouldn't accept and I drove 40 minutes here. And had to wait for for my wife get back even tho they the lady said I can get one day pass some reason the other lady had i

I've been going to bioLife for years now and not once have I received a promo code not once have I received an additional payout to my weekly payout. They don't give you any sort of bonus to keep going there. It's just a weekly payout and I see all over different places for people get promo codes and extra money for donating so many times a month and. Washington doesn't do that and it's Life center here in Washington Care of their loyal customers who go there for years Donating there for a long time and the

I had my PTSD paper work faxed over over a month ago and they lost it. Now they blame me for it and I had to take 2 buses up there because I could not donate today due to them not having my paper work. Then they say it is not their fault but all the other places faults. They know this has happened in the past but still let it happen. Then they get upset with me for getting angry that they lost my paper work. It would have been nice to have been told sooner that they did not have my paper work instead o

The staff is generally speedy, very qualified and pleasent! The ease to make and switch appointments is good. The biggest issue I have is the big swing in payments between weeks, I sure that it's due to algorithms and total expected donors for the week but it's rather annoying and discouraging to regular donors.

The Employees are Absolutely amazing! Very helpful and polite. However, I do know this is for a great cause, I do firmly believe that they can buck up some more dollars for the donations, I'm getting half of what I used to to donate I have approximately 2 3/4 hours into my trip to participate, I'm hoping they will pony up some more dollars or I may not be able to keep doing it. Thank You

Been a regular here for years! I know a lot of the employees on a first name bases. There has always been a rather flexible 10 minute grace period when arriving late or early to an appointment. I arrived to my appointment just 12 minutes late and was denied to be seen. This was incredibly frustrating and disappointing considering during the 4 years I have been donating here I have NEVER had staff turn me away for being a minute or two late. Being turned away really felt like oh, how dare I take some time to

I donated for the first time today and had a phenomenal experience. Allison took care of my new patient profile and was professional, quick (even with the computers being slow!), and helpful. Britney did my exam and was incredible. So fun, kind, personable, and easy to talk to. Again, even with the computer issues, she was quick with her exam and made the experience a breeze. Bianca was my phlebotomist and she was professional and wonderful. She explained everything in great detail and did a wonderful nee

Everyone is so patient and kind. Several of the staff know me(and others) by name and overall it's such a welcoming and clean environment. I have never had a bad experience here.

I dont give 1 or 2 star ratings out very often. But when multiple staff members, inculding a manager, give you a different story each about your donation situation, it becomes very annoying. Not only did a manager say i would be allowed to donate next time(today) but to also be told that you cant donate for a month? Its kind of absurd. Its already a pain having to travel four hours to get up there via bus, and they wont out a donation center in Everett for some reason or anywhere closer, but to go all tha

Unfortunately, they refuse to give you the list of medications that preclude you from being a donor ahead of time, so you have to sit for an hour plus of getting stabbed, prodded, and interrogated in order to find out if you can donate. A much more efficient method would be to submit your list of medications ahead of time through a secure patient portal and then they can let you know whether it's worth your time to come in so you don't have to waste 2 hours of your life for absolutely no reason. I suggest t

Very friendly staff. You're well taken care of here!

First time donating and had a great experience. They were very professional but also didn't make you feel like you were at the doctors office. I will be back.

I have been donating for almost over 5 years. I have been off and on the last few years but recently I have truly enjoyed going. In the past, the process would take over 2 hours and management would just be hiding in the back not helping during rushes. I stopped for a bit and came back a few months ago and I must say it has been great! All the staff has been awesome and great to chat with. The process is within an hourish if not a little longer. Super grateful to enjoy coming in again to donate.

I am not sure what is happening but the last 2 times I went to give plasma they couldn't fine my vein. The second time sh nicked my vein making it non useable. I was donating twice. Weeks as jr was helping with some spending money. I now can't even donate because of the nasty big bruise I still have after a week has gone by. Not sure I will be a le to donate and help a person.

1st time here. The process is very easy and the team of workers are very knowledgeable and caring.

I called ahead of time to get info on donation. The service person did not notify me. There was a load of paper work you need to donate. We have solved the problem, and the process was smooth on foward, thank you for the care, and nice personal .

As always my donation went well. Tiffany did a great job. There was a new donor next to me and he as explained how the machines worked and everything to expect during the process and also how to get help if needed. The people at Bellingham BioLife are great

I have been donating plasma here for a while and have donated over 350 times The staff is always really nice even on days that you can tell the have limited staff and are doing their best to keep up. They always make sure to talk to you and make you feel welcomed and appreciated. I am always impressed with their ability to multitask and still make sure you feel important. I started donating when I wasn't financially stable and keep donating even though I am more financially stable to help people that nee

I am always very apprehensive about going and getting my blood drawn because I am scared of needles. I appreciate that they coddle me and always find certain phlebotomist to deal with me that have experience dealing with difficult veins and difficult people like me lol .

Back in 2020 I donated with them and they never recorded a tattoo of mine when I did tell them about it. I feel discriminate from when I seen them put it down on computer so they banned me for life very sad that they made a mistake by deleting that tattoo off my record. When it was recorded.

Tried doing the $750 coupon for new people. I've only been able to donate 3 times successfully within the coupon time period cause they keep bruising my arm. They've had to try both arms every time as well. The $ is nice when it does come, but a large chunk of the people here are inexperienced or I've just been super unlucky.

It's a nice place, workers are generally cool. I just wish that they paid more. Back when Trump was in office the first time, they paid more. Now that he's back, let's get some pay increase.

I've donated over 100 times here and have never had a bad experience. Staff is knowledgeable and efficient, and can help you identify slower times of the week if you have an issue with the occasional wait.

Once I got past the paperwork, the process was all streamlined! The facility is clean and convenient in all ways. I never feel unwelcome whenever I go there. Lovely employees and great atmosphere! I always look forward to every appointment. ?

You need to send out returning donor coupons for our loyalty. This is why people stop going and donating. I haven't gotten any returning donor coupons in a over 2.5 years. Do better for the people that come in regularly

This place is okay for what it is. They are definitely understaffed and you can tell. The donation process was alright. The phlebotomists did their best to accommodate my needs and get the needle right the first time. I had some sharp pain shoot up my arm the first couple times. They were able to adjust accordingly though. The only reason I am giving a lower rating is because the pay is absolutely abysmal. To spend 40 minutes driving there, 1.5 hours donating, and the rest of the day with a tender arm and o

I'm just not happy with the payment. We are giving more than what we deserve. $110.00 per week isn't enough considering the time and effort we give as a donor. Plasma treatments for patients are extremely expensive and we are not been paid good enough.

Biolife is a great place for earning extra cash. It's great that there is a place where anyone can walk in, donate plasma, feel good about helping people, & get paid at the same. Ive never had any complications. I'm not a fan of needles, yet luckily nearly every experience I've had there is smooth & pain free. I've been going for several years now, & it has definitely blessed my life. The people who work there are friendly & skilled at their job. Thanks Biolife.

Some staff are nice and seems like a really calm environment but don't go if you have anxiety of any kind cuz they'll discriminate against you. I had one panic attack for forgetting my paperwork and they labeled me as "unfit" to donate and didn't even notify me ahead of time when I went back a second time that I was "unfit". Doesn't matter apparently that you are a universal donor who is physically healthy and has a military background.

I just passed my 300th donation. I've been donating since 2018 and it's been a nice little side hustle income source. The facility is clean and safe and they take good care of you from start to finish.

Oh how I LOVE coming to and donating at Bio Life in Bellingham, Washington! The staff are ALL so very helpful, professional and kind! It's like a second home for my almost 70 year old heart! :) I consider the staff at Bio Life a lovely little family! :) Thank you for ALL you do continuously for ALL of us! :) Big Hugs, Gerrie Erxleben

I called 6 hours before my appointment to ask if the form of proof of address that I had would work.(it does at the dol) Was told by an answering machine to leave a message I do and no one gets back to me. I decided that I should still go because it would probably be fine and start the 5 mile walk to the clinic. I arrive a half hour early and the place is so full of staff that they are half of them are joking around not working which would be fine if any of them had bothered to check the messages and let me

My experience with the Biolife team has been a super pleasant service and I can only recommend being a doner like myself to everyone who is able to qualify and can donate. I personally had doubts that I was even going to be able to get through my first session because of my lifelong extreme fear of needles and getting shots or even getting my blood drawn the complete duration of my life. This fear has always been here with me and when I say extreme I mean extreme. It was not only stressful it was very embar

I appreciate the staff's willingness to take their time to take care of you. However, they are severely under staffed and it is becoming next to impossible to visit without standing in a 40 minute line, just to get to the screening point. The powers that be require an appointment be made, but appointments mean nothing when 20 other people share your approximate appointment time. If peak time is all the time, hire more employees and take better care of the ones you have. Not to mention your donors. Great

Always have a good experience here. The techs are very friendly and helpful, I've always disliked needles but every poke I've had here has been barely noticeable and I am always comfortable! My son loves the child care area and looks forward to his visits with the staff there.

Friendly staff is the best thing going at this businesses. Everyone I have dealt with had been polite and friendly. They all seem very nice.

Expect to spend about 2hrs (or more) here. I've been donating for a long time, and it didn't used to be this bad, but I think they have gotten busier without staffing to compensate. Today I came in around 1:30 and it took an hour between when I came in the door to when I finally got plugged into the machine. Usually it's less busy earlier in the day, but I've had days I came in at 10am and it was just as busy as at 2 or 3pm. Most of the techs are amazing, wonderful people. A handful are apathetic and kinda

First time donor. All of the staff took great time in making sure I was informed, the process was done right, and I was comfortable each step of the way. The facility is very clean and relaxing. The supervised play room is a great environment for the littles. Make sure to make an appointment for the playroom. Also the BioLife app is awesome! So happy to be able to help people and that's the mentality of the staff here. ??

These people are so awesome! Always a quick and smooth experience here. I really appreciate how personable and kind the staff is. :)

I came in as a new plasma donor and had an incredible experience from start to finish. Cara was the nurse who checked me in and was very kind and professional. Ben who was my phlebotomist was very welcoming and engaging and made me feel comfortable through the entire process. Both were super helpful in answering all of my questions and we're very efficient in getting me in and out quickly. The entire process from start to finish, including plasmapheresis, only took about 2 hours as a new donor which was muc

The Bellingham facility is clean and made me feel comfortable. The staff are very kind and helpful.

UPDATE: I emailed them so they could contact me about the experience in the BELLINGHAM facility. Don't bother wasting your time with doing that, they don't actually contact you. It's been a month now and no one has reached out to me. This whole process has been a complete waste of time and a HUGE joke!!! After I read the requirements of all medication and medical issues being stable for well over 6 months to a year. I scheduled the appointment. I went though my medication 3 times, medical history twice, a

Today I went in and was expecting it to be a somewhat fast process. It took about an hour for them to walk me through and show me everything then to sit down and find out I couldn't donate due to low iron? Not once in my life have I ever been told by my doctor I am low in iron so that was weird and threw me off. My friend was also there trying to donate as well and I was waiting in a secluded chair with no one around me the lady at the front told me I'd have to leave due to covid and I couldn't wait. But th

Nurses are great, friendly quick, caring & knowledgeable. Phlabotomists are friendly, communicative of what they are doing. I enjoy the staff.

Today was my first appointment and although I couldn't donate due to needing more paperwork, The lady who helpped me at 6am today was so unbelievably nice and kind. She made sure I was comfortable and answered any questions. She had dark or black hair with glasses. I unfortunately couldn't find a newtag but she was outstanding and so kind to me.

What I dont get... is that this company racks in money. 400+ million dollars in 2022. Yet their offers are steadily worse each week. The only time to go in is when they offer bonuses, but they won't do that often. This week, they offered $115. Next week it will probably be even less. I passed my 450th donation. It will probably take me another couple of years to reach 500 since there is zero reason to donate. It is honestly not worth the absurdily long waits that you force your donators to go through due to

Friendly staff, but I've been trying to get everything set up for me to donate for over a year, to just be told today that I am deferred until july and then I will need to have my doctor sign the same form they have been signing for literally 6 months. The communication is awful, as telling me that I would have to wait at any point in the process would have made a world of difference.

I have been donating for over two years. I started donating as a tribute to my Uncle Warren, he was one of the first in-care people to pass away from COVID-19. I kept up the donations after that as it became part of my social week. The staff at the Bellingham, WA site have always been caring and top notch. I would highly recommend anyone stopping by and donating as it is beneficial to them and persons in need of plasma based therapies.

I don't understand why the cost of everything keeps going up and up, yet biolife pays donors less and less. Doesn't make people want to come in and donate!!

I went to donate today, staff were amazing. I got feeling sick while donating today, and Chad, Madi and the nurse were amazing. They made me feel like i was in good safe hands. They made sure i was stable before i got up and left to go to the nurses station. Biolife has some truly amazing kind staff.

I have had pretty good experiences donating plazma here. Usually it's pretty much painless, except for a couple of times when I had a newer person inserting the needle. Corey pretty much rocks when I get the pleasure having him doing his job. No real complaints.

Facility is very clean, staff is super friendly, beds are pretty comfy....not a bad way to spend a couple of hours per week at. UPDATE as of Sept 2020: insane that it takes longer to wait in line than it does to finish the donation process. Only 2 people in the entire front check in area seems a ton understaffed when 21 people are standing in front of me in line and my appointment was 30mins ago allready and I'm every bit of an hour from getting checked in....not cool!

Its alr the new doner bonus is temporary

Well, they can't answer their phone, they can't update their website, they don't call you back if you leave a message. I drove across town with my 2-year-old for my 4 o'clock appointment only to have to cancel it at check-in because they don't have childcare available, even though their website says they still do. It's been 18 months since this pandemic started, you don't think the website should have been updated in all that time to say "hey, sorry, no childcare available!"? That would have saved me 40 min

It was fast and everyone was super friendly. In and out in an hour during their busiest time is very impressive!

I was experiencing pain during my donation due to a poor initial insertion to the point that they had to switch the needle to the other arm. I had three employees helping me at different times and none of them were communicating to me what was happening and why the needle needed to be switched in the first place. Before it was switched over, I heard two of the employees talking to each other from their work station saying that the needle had been put in too far. Neither of them came over to tell me this dir

Very unprofessional and inexperienced staff. In my first four donations I was given two hematomas and they called it a "reaction" as if it was my fault. They can never find my veins and when they do they always stick it in the wrong place and end up giving me horrible bruising. The last time i was given a heamtoma my arm started to burn and create a bubble under the skin with blood and none of the staff could be bothered until i made it vocally clear i was in pain. They then said it was my own fault, called

Waste of time. I tried 3 years ago and I couldn't cause of meds. Now I'm off them and tried again today and I get told "we need a letter from your doctor." Like you couldn't tell me BEFORE I wasted time, money and gas to drive a half hour up to the building? And something about "FDA guildines". I'm sorry but if the bloodbank can take my blood and plasma without a doctor's note and no problem then so should this place. Also the website says you have to medication/medical event free for 6 MONTHS to a year. I

I requested Ben and Nicole everytime I go in they are the best so my 5 stars go out to them.

My kids love the child care room! I love making an extra few hundred a month knowing Im helping someone needing plasma. The staff are really great. Feel very well taken care of.

I had such an easy time every time I donate, the people are always nice and the actual donating is so easy.

Staff turnover is high and it shows. The pay is great but they've screwed up the initial stick 6 visits in a row! It would be nice if they trained their workers so they could properly do their jobs.
