1565 Liberty Dr
Bloomington, Indiana 47403
3 weeks ago I tried to donate and they gave me a paper to have my Dr fill out due to my PTSD which My Dr did and faxed it back to you guys. Well then I got told that she missed a few questions and had to refill out the paper and fax it back which they did. Now here it is 2 weeks later and it still has not been read by your Dr to be cleared. This is absolutely ridiculous. It should not take a whole month or almost a month to get cleared to donate especially when you need the money. I'd like the manager to g
I've been donating for over a year. Today the check in lady was extremely friendly. But the blood pressure machine was doing funky things. It read 80/60 the first read which sent me into recheck . Recheck was 164/103 which disqualified me for donation. My blood pressure is never that wonky. Always between 120/130 for top and 80s for bottom. I questioned if machine was correct . She did ask supervisor but they would let me see the nurse either . Very frustrating. Probably won't be back. My husban
The lady doing check in screening today @ the Bloomington, IN location, around noon, she was not nice not friendly at all, both myself and my partner went in to donate, and she was rude to everyone in there including her coworkers, if you're having a bad day go home don't ruin the rest of the staffs day. Now the other staff members I interacted with and did my physical she was extremely nice and friendly and deserves a raise! Do I agree with the fact I was turned down due to being on PREP, absolutely not, t
People are very friendly. Respectful of each other. The only issue I've had is one Sunday I was there and one of the ladies didn't put the IV in correct! Within 15 minutes my arm was bleeding out and got on my dress! I was going to my granddaughter dance recital after my donation. I had to stop and buy a new dress because I didn't have time to go home to change. She did appolize.
Everyone at this location have been amazing. If I show up and my husband is not with me they always make sure to ask me how he is doing. The facility is clean and we get in and out quickly!
Very good visit today. My visits always go well when Mary starts my donation. This location seems to be more organized and moves along at a constant pace. I drive to Bloomington to go to this facility. I would recommend coming here for a donation.
I am an anxious person to begin with and take medicine daily for this. My boyfriend donates here regularly with no issues. I came with him today after he talked to into it for the first time to try and push myself out of my comfort zone and do something that would benefit others but was unable to due to my blood pressure and elevated heart rate from not knowing what to expect, I totally get being turned down for it. However, from the beginning the staff was already unwelcoming so that didn't help any. As I
The truth be told so they lie straight off the by saying they do not discriminate which is fallacious., denying a person for a mental health condition like anxiety which affects heart rate is disability discrimination as anxiety is a disabling condition!...after reading some reviews but seems place has a terrible rep and their only way to fix it is to say hey go post on our site cause it'll fix everything that happened lol...but Ok some things they do not tell you your peraonal info or mine was kept in sys
The staff are always amazing. They always get me in & out fairly quickly. Always Making sure everything?s alright.
When I logged into my online account at BioLife. It told me I was eligible for $800 in donations for the month for being a return donor. When I went to donate I was told I'm only eligible for $650 in the month. The nurse told me I would be given $70 at my visit yesterday. When I got home and checked my card for the deposit. They only deposited $50. So I got ripped off more than once yesterday. I will not be back.
They find the vein right away. No additional pokes required for the times I have gone. The session only took 36 minutes (the suggestion to drink lots of water and electrolytes works. Just go to the bathroom right before you're in the chair). yay.
At Bio Life the process was easy when I donated. The pre-donation check-up was reassuring, especially since I don't see doctors often. Kudos to Bio Life for going the extra mile! I'd like to give a special shout-out to Cassie and the other employees. Every visit has been stress-free and I always feel taken care of. Thank you to the entire Bio Life team for their exceptional service. Highly recommended! ??
at first i was intimidated and scared but once i finally went back to donate it was perfectly fine. the nurses were so nice back there and comforting. definitely will be coming back!
Cassie, Crystal, Indigo, and Nicole are my favorite workers at BioLife. They are some of the hardest workers I've ever seen. Every time I go in, they are there with a smile on their face despite the abundance of work they do. Not only are they passionate about the work they put in, they are compassionate too. Despite a bad day or two in my life, I always leave happier than when I came. I love that they remember your face and check-in because they genuinely care about your wellbeing. BioLife got truly lucky
A wonderful experience. The staff was very kind and helpful and if you want to donate, I'd highly recommend Biolife. They are amazing!
The BioLife Plasma Services Center in Bloomington, IN is a great place to donate plasma. The staff and management make it a great atmosphere to be in while you are making your donation. My wife and I have been donation for many years and we have always had a great experience. The center Managers Julie and Dan are great. They are warm, friendly and make you feel like family when you come in. If you want to help others by donation lifesaving plasma and make a little money on the side, BioLife Plasma Services
I'm new to donating plasma, but my experience at the Bloomington BioLife center has been very pleasant. I will definitely be continuing to donate!
I want to alpogize to all the people that need plasma as I was told I am ineligible to donate anymore after a full year of successful donations because I don't have a picture of myself in high school with a pair of earrings in. Please send all thank you cards to the Bloomington center on liberty drive for me being ineligible for a picture from 35 years ago.
I am a regular donor. I appreciate the staff and usually find my experience good. I commute 40 minutes (one way) to donate. However, there have been several times; like today, when I have driven in only to find out I am ineligible to donate. I was not called, notified by email or app notification that there was an issue before I drove up. Today's reason was that they had not reviewed my quarterly blood test yet. They had the results back but no one had reviewed them yet. This is another issue I have is
Staff is super friendly, no issues! I enjoy doing something that helps those in need!
Amazing and friendly staff. Clean environment. The atmosphere is not intimidating either, the team and facilities are great
It seems very unorganized. And I feel like they are extremely short staffed. I always need to wait at least, at least, half an hour just to be hooked up. And I have yet to see anyone wipe a bed or surface with an epa registered disinfectant. And I notice lots of cross contamination. It feels yucky being in here. The staff are nice though. My last donation center was clean, and consistently disinfected after each patient. When I got to an empty bed, it was already hooked up and ready to go, I only had to wai
tbh everyone here is very nice and it goes by smoothly. never have any problems!
Everyone is always so nice and friendly. The place is clean and they wipe down after each donor.
Hands down the best donating center in the state. Staff was incredible, kind, attentive, and very caring. They found my vein and tapped it on the first try. I had no bruising or blown veins, and they also continuously checked on me to make sure I was okay. Thanks Bloomington Biolife, you guys/gals are awesome!!! ??
They make it so difficult to even donate. They don't tell you what you need to bring in when you make the appointment. Absolutely no one carry a proof of address and their social security card on them at the same time Edit: After going again my experience was much better. The staff was nice and made sure to take care of me. Also I did see them wipe seats down so the reveiw saying they didn't isn't accurate anymore
I came for the first time ever to donate and my experience was very comforting and professional. I was greeted immediately with a smile and easily made a appointment on my ride over so the intake was not a long process at all, the staff was informative and helpful with making sure I knew exactly what to expect! Very clean and amazing staff, thank you guys for saving lives with a smile.
Staff is efficient and attentive if a little familiar at times. However, too few intake processing staff to get things started (2, maybe 3, where there are usually many people waiting) and then not enough people always at the donation stations make it a wash to donate. It's a good amount as a new donor, but if a donation is taking 2-3 hours because of slow staff (again because there are not enough staff, not because those staff are slow), regular amounts aren't really worth it as much. I also called many
Edit:2025 remains the same. Just had 4 people who came after me, start donating before me. Poorly managed and priorities are mixed. New donors get front of the line which often causes 30-60 minut waits for vitals because theirs a new person, then anotherz then 6 new people, front of the vitals line later, your an hour into waiting. Once past vitals, theres often a 30-90 minute wait to even get a needle in to start donating, and a 10-30 minute wait to get disconnected once your done donating. Because of t
Went back after 11 years, with a set appointment for 6 PM. Wasn't called for my physical until 6:35, so the appointment system is apparently a moot point. They wanted me to have documentation to prove a last name change (I had gotten married and divorced in this 11 year gap, did not go back to my maiden name). This was red tape that I had already gone through years ago when the State of Indiana adopted the RealID. That should be all I need, period. What that has to do selling plasma, I have no idea, but t
Staff is absolutely amazing!! 99% of them are so kind and professional. They explained everything so thoroughly and professionally and answered any questions I had to make me feel more comfortable. The process of signing in and the actual donation was super fast. Wait times were not too bad, but if you do have to wait, they make it super simple and fast.
Nurse needs more training it was very painful. Arm would not bend right and was swollen .
This is my first experience regularly donating plasma and the BioLife staff are wonderful! I'm nervous around needles because I have small veins and have had bad experiences with getting blood drawn in the past but the phlebotomists are very skilled and kind as well. A great experience and they pay well too.
Great staff, fast, professional service! I love donating plasma to help others. Please go donate at BioLife. Tell them Susan Melvin referred you!
Staff is friendly, quick and ensures my comfort. Every time I have been it is quick and easy.
Good people and they are kind and very nice. Especially a very nice lady named Cassie.
The staff was very nice. Answered everything I wanted to know. Clean place.
This was my first time donating and at this facility. Everyone was so nice and made sure to explain everything well and made sure I felt okay. This was a positive experience for me and i will recommend this to family and friends and anyone considering donating here
The staff at Bloomington BioLife is very professional and kind. They explain everything well on the first day, which makes the experience less intimidating for a first timer. They are skilled and good at what they are doing, which made it easy for me to return regularly. It's also a very fulfilling experience to know that I'm helping improve someone?s life.
At my first appointment, the nurse told me you can donate twice a week and that weeks run from Mondays to Sundays. I wanted to donate Wednesday/Saturday that week and Tuesday/Friday the next week. I was unable to schedule a donation the second week before Wednesday, so that information was either incorrect or not explained correctly to me. Also, I was in the middle of a promotional period when they told me (a week after having blood drawn) that my protein was a little too high and had to wait another week t
I personally love this plasma donation center Biolife! It's always very quiet, the people are very kind and thorough with every process, and it's never always too long of a wait! You're helping others and they definitely show their gratitude here ??
Kate and indigo are on top of the game. The girls testing are super fast. Never more than an hour and a half. Everyone is so friendly. Maddie and Brenna are very polite.
The staff are so great and attentive. They take their time to make the process comfortable and always working hard to ensure you get in and out as quickly as possible. Kate is super friendly and become a rockstar at the sticks and I always know I'm in good hands with Dom! Seems like they all get great training on the process to do it well.
This place is a joke I have recorded all and every tattoo that I have gotten i have a total of 16 tattoos ranging from chest to feet and I claim every single one and because one of your nurses (male) didn't do his job and record 4 of 4 I was reporting he only put 2 down and with out fully checking the amount of tags they had on the little guy on the computer showing locations of tats and piercings I clicked submit and now I'm a lier and also baned from donating also the same nurse told me 3 months for new t
Staff is friendly and do what they can under the circumstances as they are overworked. The app allows for appointments to be set every 5 minutes which causes over booking and long waiting times. Process time is over 2 hours now and just not worth it for the $40 they give you. Corporate needs to wake up and have appointments every hour that match the amount of staff and chairs available. Also the pay used to be better and they have more people giving now so they pay less. Stopped going as I have other thing
I have donated plasma here 5 times, the staff are super kind and comforting, the chairs for donation are comfortable, and again, the staff do the most to make sure you are comfortable during your donation! The facility is super clean as well. I would recommend bringing a blanket or an extra jacket because the room is cold and that saline at the end always has me shivering!
These people and extremely nice and very professional! I'm happy to donate at a place like this that is so friendly and welcoming! These phlebotomy experts are the BEST hands down! Thank you! Sincerely , Kacy McElfresh
The staff are all so friendly and professional! I love that I am helping people and getting a money to help my family with extra cost of everything going up in price.
Great first time experience! The team was super helpful and when Brenna couldn't get my left arm vein she asked for help from another coworker and I thought that was kind and reassuring. 10/10 experience
The staff are great! They're friendly, helpful, and can get that needle in your arm with very little discomfort. Look, we all know why we're there. Money is hard to come by these days, and this is a simple way to earn some extra cash.
Staff are good people. Here is my issue. Yet again last night I come and wait and wait and wait in line for over an hour. I had to leave before I could even get in a bed. If you are understaffed then make less available appts! Also when I come in for my 730 appt and am 1 minute late the door is locked. When I am supposed to have a few minute grace period like everyone else does. The way things are handled now, your patients will slowly dwindle away. It is now harder and harder for me to even have the tim
Biolife is a place that I get to just take an hour, scroll through my phone, catch up on videos, and generally gives me a little over an hour as a break from the day. All while getting paid a little extra money to help pay off the soul crushing, crippling debt while contributing to a worthy cause that helps people. The staff are awesome and process is straightforward and easy. Couldn't recommend them more for, not only helping people who need plasma donation, but for making a little extra money on the side
Everyone was very nice and explained everything in a way I could understand. The facility was very clean and organized. I was there for a long time but it was also my first visit so that is probably why.
BioLife staff is friendly and efficient and the facility is super clean. Quick and easy way to make a buck while helping people who need it.
Great place to donate staff is a plus dont waste your time anywhere else. Great job biolife u guys rock
Been donating for 8+ years. You used to be able to be in and out within a hour. Now you'll be lucky to be out in two...on a good day. COMPLETELY understaffed, waits are way too long. The staff is amazing and are doing what they can with who they have. If I didn't like to help people with my donations, I would of stopped after the first time I had to wait over an hour+. Never understood why they built a new building to have 72 beds, Never utilized them all, got rid of almost half of their machines, to make
This place has wonderful works and they work hard to bring you the best service as,well as make sure your comfortable too. All the employees are wonderful and are very kind and sweet keep up the wonderful work.
As many people have mentioned, the wait time is incredibly long. Expect to wait around an hour and a half before you are even seated to donate. Once you are seated, it takes quite a few minutes to even start the process, and after you are completely done, it is not at all a priority to get you out of there to them (probably why it's such a painfully long wait). One of my recent experiences here prompted this review- I waited in the line for 4 hours and once I was seated, nobody addressed the atrociously lo
It was a ok donation, if you don't mind the attitude from other staff when you pacifically only prefer two to stick you. I'm sorry but I've been getting attitude trash talking about me right in front of me. One time while getting my prick done she squeezed the heck out of my hand an jabbed the prick very hard into my finger. It was a new person. Overall I'm donating just a while longer an I will no longer hope to ever have to ever donate in my life ever again. I'm thankful to amber an Cassie for there
The facility itself is amazingly clean and professional. Definitely not the stereotypical clinic from the 90's. Kate is an awesome employee, very thorough, knowledgeable, and kind through the entire process. A great way to save lives and earn.
When you actually get to donate, the process is almost always smooth and the staff are friendly. They obviously have too many openings available on the app because the wait time to get in a chair with a needle in your arm is almost always over an hour. No one is happy with this so it seems silly they wouldn't reduce the number of appointments they're taking or hire more staff. Edit: The staff and appointment issue has improved since I made my initial review.
never answer their phone, nurses are unprofessional, phlebotomists are untrained. have bruised me almost every single time I have went and in one occasion did not return my red blood cells.
The staff was very friendly and courteous. I had no wait time which made the whole process smooth and efficient.
I was sent away 3 days in a row for a high heart rate when that has never been an issue for me. I used to donate all the time without issue and then my blood pressure was high every time so I took a break to check on some potential health issues. The doctors found nothing wrong with me and my blood pressure was fine. Now I've returned to donate and was only able to donate once because the last 3 days my heart rate was higher than I've ever seen it. I also have a machine at home to check my heart rate and bl
Everyone is always very nice and professional.
I use the app to schedule my appointments and never had an issue. The entire staff, front and back, are very friendly and nice. My two favorite people are Amber and Tyler! Everyone is professional, make you feel comfortable, and willing to help any way they can!
This place doesn't care about their donor?s with tattoos. They are a privatized company that only cares about protecting the employees then make you look bad when it was their mistake. They don't go the extra mile for us donor?s. You give them the answer?s you think they need, due to what they ask but then they cover their butt for their own good fortune when they were just as responsible as the donor is due to the misinformation they give us the donor. Very Unprofessional. Getting donors on the non-donor l
I've always had excellent service at this location. Sure the waits can be long sometimes, but I've never had a bad needle stick with the crew in the back. Ashley, April, Tyler and Nathan are always fantastic and awesome! All these people deserve a raise for their excellence!
The process itself is fine. You get checked in and you get your blood taken. My issue is with the staff who check you in, mainly. They are very brief and rude; if i have any questions you can bet I'll get a passive aggressive attitude from the check in staff. Not everyone is like this; i want to separate the good from the rude, but it just makes me hate coming in. I want to give plasma and help people but the atmosphere of this center makes me doubt if it's even worth it .
The technicians are very kind and hard working. However, I've never been so bruised before. I came in on a Monday. There was a long wait, which I do not mind. Please though, even if you are backed up, do not rush finding a vein. Picking up my kid, or completing my day time job is tough right now because a technician was trying her best to cut down the line and botched my vein.
Have had a very poor experience here the wait to be seen is usually an hour thirty plus. if you have any questions the nurse staff is snooty and rude they hang up on you if you have any questions on a simple thing like a spe check. 10 out of 10 do not recommend this this place.
Normally have a wonderful expereince with everyone besides today when I interacted with an older gray haired nurse. I was unware of hours on Saturday and scheduled appointment 10 minutes to close. She made me feel uncomfortable and was complaining about my donation as well as several other donors that she didn't like. She complained to other employees about her job and how she did not like it. I love coming here, but this expereince was terrible and not worth compensation to go.
Even when they are busy and there's a wait (which is no fault of the staffers) they are always friendly. While I feel for them as I see them working their tails off, they don't let any frustration show. Bravo to these hard workers and donors who are helping make a difference!
Have been 3 times. First time was slow as advertised and expected and the staff was helpful. The following 2 times the supposed 1-1.5 hour wait time became easily 2-3. The staff that is there tries their best but they are understaffed. If you need the money it's worthwhile.
Appointments are required and a fantastic idea, in theory. I've waited more than an hour at 6:45 am and still not out of the kids chairs in the playroom. How? How do you get an hour behind when you have only been open for 45 minutes? If your understaffed don't open so many appointments - it seems like a very simple fix. Please adjust the app scheduling. Please get rid of the kid chairs that are 6? off the ground. 4 visits and none have been efficient use of my time. Update - staff are helpful and f
Came from another plasma company back to BioLife. BioLife may not always pay the highest but the service is always too notch. It's always clean and quiet. Easy in and out!
The process is fine but this branch needs more employees. The front desk almost always has one person to test the blood of a line before sending them over, unfair for the employees and donors alike. I spend more time waiting in line to get my blood tested than the rest of the process combined.
I've been there 4 times. The last time my pulse was too high and couldn't donate. I drove 40 miles for nothing....but they have their safety protocols that they have to follow so they were just looking out for me and my well-being.
If you can get to a bed and start giving, it's great. I used to give plasma in college and the payout here is much better. However, the extreme waiting times (even at 6 and 7 in the morning) make it very frustrating to deal with (I'm writing this as I'm still waiting one hour after my scheduled appointment at 8am). Also, many of their staff are very rude. I've never had an issue with the staff in the back by the beds, but some of the staff up front are just frustrating to deal with and very rude to people g
The people that work here are great! Except one. She's a short older lady with white hair. I thinks she's one of the nurses. After waiting an hour for my annual physical. She decides it's more important to help the people who just sat down instead. She acted like I wasn't anyone and I could wait even longer. Like what is that? If I knew her name I would report her to corporate.
This facility has an amazing staff (more specific Dom, Kate, Abigail, Greta, Cassie, Mary, Tyler, Katie). Everyone took the time out of your day to come check up on the people in the sections. What makes it more special is that they didn't just check on just the sections (i.e. the machines) they checked on everyone individually. Feel safe and comfortable coming to the facility in Bloomington Indiana.
Friendly, professional, helpful. To see how hard they all work to help each other when short handed is nice. They are very encouraging if your nervous and are always willing to answer any questions you may have.
The staff is exceptionally kind and very speedy with the service. Everyone made sure I was okay. Greta was very nice and informal. The stick was virtually painless too! Overall great experience.
First off, they bribe you with a candy bar to give them 5 star Google reviews. They have signs posted on each machine and multiple walls throughout the building. Only worth it with promos when you get between $80-$100 each time. Otherwise it's a waste of time. The lady at the front desk that's usually there during the day is extremely rude. Went to check in at 9:30 and there was a line of about 7people waiting to get their screening done & only two employees including her. I think she was looking for someon
was told i wasn't allowed to be passed on to donate because i was feeling nervous. she was extremely rude and wouldn't give me a chance to calm down. i think it's completely normal for someone to be a little nervous after hearing the warnings and everything. she could have went over the process and showed me what they do and once i got in the chair i would have been okay, but i was turned away after driving over an hour to the location and spending two hours there. i think it's a 100% ridiculous reason to n
Have been giving here for a few years. Always have friendly greeters welcoming me at intake. Most all of the phlebotomist are very good at their sticks. Some of them, I don't even feel. On the rare times I have had an issue, it has been quickly and positively resolved. Great place to donate.
At first, my experiences went well. After a few weeks of donating I was treated with zero respect by one of the employees there I only know as "Michelle". She is very rude and disrespectful. Also my last few visits I was stabbed with the needle by the same person and she missed twice and didn't care whatsoever. Made me very uncomfortable.
I get that you have to be prepared for some waiting - but I agree with many of the other reviewers - 9/10 days there are inefficiencies going on before our eyes and it is really frustrating. Today my appointment was at 6:15 AM..I was able to complete my questions by 6:12. I didn't get screened until 6:45. In the meantime 2 phlebotomist were on the floor without any notion to help with screening and the nurse in the back didn't seem to notice either. Granted, I don't know everything they have to do but at th
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
