First time is a bit time consuming, about 3 hours for me but they were also fairly busy. Staff is very professional and thorough. I was happy enough with the experience to set up my next donation while I waited my 15 minutes after my donation (required the first time to make sure you're feeling fine) Everyone I dealt with was very friendly and courteous and if you're needing a little extra cash, this is an extremely easy way to earn it.
Long time donor. Always loved donating in the past. Lately they've been severely short staffed and it's caused such long lines and bed wait. Spent nearly 3 hours on my last donation from stepping in the building to leaving. Way too long and not worth it. I feel bad for the staff they do have as I'm sure they're getting burnt out too. Don't plan on returning for a while to see if they get more staff
One of the best BioLife I've been to their care and dedication to the job is astonishing! Keep it up! Special shout out to Clint the physical nurse. You're awesome! Keep up the amazing work! Also one of the cleanest and nicest BioLife establishment I have been to as well!
BRING YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY CARD!The staff are amazing! Absolutely no qualms with the process once it started. However, a key requirement was omitted in the registration process. Nowhere on the website or any following email that was sent once a first appointment is made does it say a social security card is required. It only states an ID and mail to verify address. I scoured every email and the entire website: no mention of social security card. I live 13mi away, which meant I drove 52mi total to get to my
BioLife on Eagle Road in Meridian, Idaho is clean and the staff is welcoming. Had an excellent experience on my first donation back after not donating for a year, Five stars there ?????????? However, my Second donation two days after everything seemed fine until my donation was complete When I sat for 10 to 15 minutes, awaiting an Employee to disconnect me from contraption. I noticed that this specific employee was not far away and seemingly working but cleaning an area that was unoccupied and at a rather
I've donated here almost every week since a few months before covid-19 started (about 5 years). So let me tell you why I love it here. The staff here are nice, professional, they are fun to joke with and fun to talk to especially me an Autistic Adult (IFYKYK). I seen many staff come and go (often to better things) yet I always enjoy my time donating, though sometimes they have bad days but they try at least try to give the donater a good time or try make it up if things go wrong. My favorite staff here are
I am thankful for all the BioLife staff @ the Boise facility. They are a great staff. Each & everyone of them is unique. Personally want to give a huge shoutout to Cidney, Mari, & Leslie.. They are amazing.. Very friendly & kind .. Thank you Sincerely Daniel ????????????
Okay, so s*** happens when you donate. Sometimes you don't handle it well, but I've been donating for years. I fight to guess probably 7 or so. And a couple of times I've got dizzy and light headed, and I tell you what they are right there, willing to help ready to go. Give you anything you need. Ask you all the questions to make sure that you're okay. And I just really, really yeah, feel safe. Even if I was freaked out from the last time because they took wonderful care of me and I went in today and they w
You guys need a fire Anastasia. She was not careful, Yanked the needle out of my arm didn't ask how I preferred my arm wrapped. Was disrespectful and rude. Was not handling any of the equipment with care, especially when the needle was in my arm. One single person can make the experience way way worse I've been having an amazing experience there until I came across Anastasia. One single person could ruin the whole reputation of a company. I suggest you guys have a talk with her and the rest of your staff on
Updating this because the auto response from the company is nonsensical. As mentioned by multiple reviewers, the website hides information that may keep you from donating. Only after giving them your health and personal information will they reveal if you are eligible to donate. It's a strange decision to not list all conditions and medications that will keep you from donating until you provide personal information. Hmmm. If the Red Cross can easily list conditions and meds, I'm not sure why they can't. I
It is terrible the way you treat people with PTSD. You are just retriggering me because of the hellish life I've gone through. I'm healing from it. No I'm not going to have a doctor fill out this form. It's none of your business. I'm done here. This company needs to rethink its policies and how awful they treat those of us that have dealt with so much pain in our lives only for you to keep the shame going.
I'm a local teacher who's been donating for several years. This place is astounding! Genuine, kind, talented, knowledgeable staff. A great way to make some extra $ and know that I'm helping others at the same time. I'm usually in and out 1-1.5 hours or less, and I love getting paid to play online Catan with my family.
Staff here is extremely kind, competent & time efficient; Every single worker I've interacted with has been wonderful! I genuinely look forward to doing donations here!
Everything went smooth as usual. Staff was kind, quick, friendly, professional and efficient. I love everyone there. Not sure why donation compensation has dropped but I noticed about 1/2 the normal donors. Mari at the front station was her usual wonderful self, I love her dry humor and how she effortlessly goes about her job. Dreasyn at the "pumping?" station is about the kindest and sweetest gal around. And she's quick and efficient and i never even felt the stick. Thank You ladies.
They would not let me donate because I have had neck surgery.I am perfectly healthy completely.Mobile not been sick in over twelve years including the flu or a cough and would not let me donate because I had next surgery to fuse a bone. Yes they're absolutely not willing to help people They deny you for things that nobody else denies you
The place is very clean, people are very friendly, professional. I appreciate their attention to detail. I definitely recommend giving plasma. Painless and life giving.
Everything from check in online to blood work and process to determine eligibility and then the actual plasma donation is quick with efficient processes and professional. The environment is designed to make you comfortable during the process as well.
Madison is my go to, always gets it on the first try. Great job, love not getting poked a million times ??
Mostly good things to say, friendly staff, smooth processing. I feel like their scheduling process could be a little better though. They tend to get pretty backed up during busier times and allow too many people to schedule at once. I understand this is a hard thing to deal with because it relies on employees being present and available but I just feel like it could be a little more optimized. Staff is great but they tend to talk more to each other and less to donors and make conversation. Overall great pla
The lady who did mine messed up and now I can barely move my arm. The pictures are from a week later, and no one will return my call or email regarding this. Please have better training for your employees and have more working at a time so they are not so rushed. Conveniently this happened right before I was set to get the promotional bonus and now, I cannot go back since I am so badly bruised
Everyone that works at this location is kind and attentive. They answer all your questions and address concerns in a very professional manner.
After a long hiatus from donating, it was nice to return to some familiar faces and new ones that are just as kind and professional.
Always organized and professionally, both as a business and as a health facility. Clean and well trained staff.
Overall it seems like a good facility, but went in two times and was deferred the first time because they claimed it was too close to the other place I donated. even though I had the proof that it wasn't. I asked them why it is there policies in 7 days when they are exactly the same process as the other plasma donation center? I was not out of line and they could not answer the question. They also would not go through a clearly marked spot with no ink on my tattoo "because they didn't go through ink" but y
Great for the most part, inconsistent payouts. Some times it's done in minutes, others your lucky to see it within the day. Really sucks since I have a hard time with the needles and keeping still for as long as they need me to. I don't donate blood specifically because of how much I hate needles
All staff is friendly and highly skilled, making for an overall quick and comfortable experience.
My pulse was a little high so they told me to wait 5 minutes. Well almost an hour later I'm still waiting and when I asked the girl when we could retake she acted like I was a burden. Unprofessional and completely wasted my time. Didn't even get to donate.
These guys/gals are awesome at their work and friendly even through the busy times! They train their staff well with the assistance of seasoned technicians and Id be happy even to be helped by the newbies! Would recommend to my friends if they weren't such wusses!
The facility has helpful website to set up an account and access most details. They also have convenient app to allow for ease of access. All staff is kind the location is clean and comfortable. I only rate three stars for two reasons One is the lack of consistency from employees when it comes to details preventing you from donating prior to arrival. Even though I fully understand there are rules to prevent illness/injury and protect privacy, when a you ask two staff members about something and receive the
I am concerned about the lack of communication regarding my donation request. Despite providing all necessary documentation and following up for a month, I have not received any updates. I have been informed to wait until an email is received in order to review the paperwork in person.
Due to a temporary procedure change, I asked for an explanation as to why some people need the drinks and others don't. Justin answered my question thoughtfully and in a way I totally understood. The staff care about me the entire time I'm there.
My phlebotomist was great. Made me feel comfortable and made sure I understood everything. I was in red 1, left arm. Can't remember her name. The whole staff was thorough and very nice.
Great place to go and make some additional money for gifts and vacations. As someone on a tighter budget, I love the promotions that are given often. The staff are kind and quick to ask for help. The only reason I gave them a 4 was that the wait time is often longer than expected. I don't mind a wait time, but if there are empty seats and it is just taking a long time to fill them, that's frustrating.
Never any complaints here when it comes to service and quality of work they provide! This location is always busy and I'm sure for good reason because of great staff! If i had to recommend someone to help you during your visit?Brooke is amazing. She's very professional, polite and always has a smile on her face while providing exceptional service. 10/10 in my book!
The plasma donation program is very well run. The money + good feeling I get from donating is great and makes the time and needle sticks worthwhile to me. Only minor drawback is their loyalty/rewards program. For each visit I get 250 points, which equals $0.80. On my birthday, I received 50 bonus points, which equals $0.20. Where will I spend that all at one time?
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff that takes great care of you
Donated 6 times. 5 of those times they had to switch arms, disregarded me when I said I said I was feeling discomfort, ruined 2 pairs of pants with blood that didn't come out, and twice couldn't return my red blood cells before they deferred me for 8 weeks. On top of that, they told me it was my fault even though I took lots of extra care to prepare meals and drink water in days prior to donating.
Incredibly kind, thoughtful, efficient staff, beautifully kept facility, and all-around lovely experience!
This was my first time donating plasma. All the staff were so sweet and kind. Trevor ran through everything really professionally made me feel really comfortable and it had an answer for all of my questions. Really appreciate the good experience. I'll be back.
All of the staff was super helpful and gave detailed instructions on what I needed to do. Raymond helped me through my first two donations at BioLife. The pay is good and they have deals going on almost constantly! I would highly suggest if you are tight on money.
BioLife has made plasma donation easy to do. While the initial appointment (or two) can be lengthy - all follow up donations are easy. Employees are all well trained, processes are efficient and customer service is great. The facility is clean. Communication is consistent from one employee to another. I have been impressed by the organization.
As always they are fantastic. Friendly, compassionate, professional.
The team at the Boise office are so kind and caring and clean.Every person that works here are very professional and kind. I love going to donate on my spare time and I feel great when I leave..it's all about doing for others and being kind...AA ++ service team ,agape love ??
The staff has always been super friendly at this location! I've been coming here for years and have never had anything to complain about. When I donated today, Adam did a perfect and painless poke and also entertained with good conversation! I definitely recommended coming here to help out others in need (:
BioLife Corporate continues to play games with their compensation program. The longer that you donate, the more that the reduce your compensation over time!
The only reason I gave them a 4 is that I had to wait in this long line that curved around the waiting area for awhile (got there at 9:50 and finally got done at 11:39). Titan was great and there was another gal in Blue 2 today that was so kind. The facility is pretty clean and I always feel like the workers care!
All I can say is BioLife on Eagle road in Boise is very clean!! The staff are professional. And the front desk receptionist ?Karalee? was very helpful. Sweet. Informative. And kind.. I also experienced great care and professionalism from the sweet gal that attempted to draw my blood. All around good experience. Every thing you need to know about donating, the risks, and what to expect is clearly explained. 5 Stars
I was recommended by my mom to start donating plasma and to get a few bucks in my pocket and so far has been a great income for me to use. The first time you start it takes a bit to get you into the system but after that it becomes quicker and quicker each time. Everyone who works here is very nice and helpful. My boi Adam is Probably the best employee there. He's super chill and nice. So try donating once and see how you like it, I would recommend it if you need some money in your pocket.
Treated me kindly and very informative. Tech was clean and professional
I would say half my experiences are 5 and half are 1. Usually staff is pretty friendly. My two chief complaints are the staff seems to clock in as we wait for them to log in. Not a huge deal, just frustrating for those of us who can only donate before work. The second issue is the inconsistencies in the "nurses". For a company that sends out 300 automated emails a week begging for donations, some of them seem to be a little power hungry on telling people to not donate when others see the forest for the tr
Allow me to express my profound admiration for the remarkable team at BioLife on Eagle. Attempting to encapsulate my outstanding experience in mere words feels inadequate, as the staff's excellence surpasses any description. Among them, nurses Anna and Angelina shine as examples of compassion, professionalism, and genuine kindness. Interacting with them was an absolute privilege, leaving an indelible mark on me. Their exceptional qualities permeate the entire staff, ensuring a consistently outstanding expe
Love the staff! Everyone is very professional and all my experiences have been wonderful. I had a few reactions and the staff handled everything perfectly and with great compassion! Would highly recommend
I love coming here! The techs are great! The only part I can complain about is that the awards redemption section has been broken for several weeks and they've lowered the pay for the donation. Please fix the rewards so donors can redeem!
I have been going here for several months now. Everyone has been fantastic. Vanna particular has been very attentive to each and every donor. Will definitely keep coming back and getting stabbed by needles. Staff makes it painless and easy.
Always pleasant to work with. The staff makes the process easy on the donors, and tends to each individual's needs. They make the process of helping those in need to be an enjoyable, worthwhile event.
I donated at BioLife off and on for a couple years. Took a few months off because it was taking way more time and most of the staff just seemed completely unhappy to be there. Finally decided to go back after receiving a pretty great promotion and had to complete a physical. The nurse I saw was extremely rude and acted irritated that I was there from the minute she called me in. She was condescending and had literally zero bedside manner. I got so irritated with the way she treated me that I told her I did
Everybody is super friendly. I get discouraged when the insertion doesn't go smooth ( vein rolls, angle, etc) and it bruises not allowing for another donation for a week or so :(
Staff has always been pleasant. Been donating for several yrs and have had very few experiences less than great.
Each experience is a positive one. With rare exceptions, the staff are welcoming and friendly. They are responsive to my questions and are proactive to insure my donation goes smoothly. I've had several interactions with Titan and they have always been positive. He's upbeat, conversational and focused on the comfort of my experience. Compared to most interactions I've had with other medical entities, Biolife is by far my favorite and should be used to set the standard for the industry.
It's a great program. Donating is fairly easy and worth the money. However? this facility is so short staffed that you need to plan to be here 2+ hours for a regular donation and 4-5 hours for your physical. Definitely makes it more difficult to coordinate. Don't ever think you can donate on a lunch break. This place is slow as snails!
Fast, friendly customer service and very knowledgeable staff if donation starts to go south( reaction, etc..) much better than the competition, speaking from experience).
I've been going to BioLife for almost two years and have had nothing but friendly and professional service. It's always clean and in order and I feel safe every time, even when they use me for training someone. I recommend them if you're thinking about donating. Tell them Kyler Morgan referred ya! ??
Terrible experience. Lazy staff and absolutely impossible to get ahold of anyone. Every time I tried to call it took several phone calls a day over several days to get a single answer. I was told a simple yes or no medical question would be answered by a manager in 1-2 days due to the weekend and it took 3 weeks of being told "it'll be another couple days" to get an answer. I was told I had great veins during my first attempt to donate (then disqualified because nobody knew if my medical history allowed me
Update: they have gotten a lot better and are putting people through faster. Recently they have been EXTREMELY slow!!! I took a break from donating for about a year. I went to get a physical and donation and was there for 3 hours. I just sat and waited the first hour before they helped me. The week before I had a protein test done and they got mixed up and couldn't find my folder and I was there 2 hours. I am very patient person and I am always respectful while I'm there. I have never been rude even when I
I have been donating at biolife for about two years and it is almost always a pleasant experience when I go in. The employees have a good attitude and are always kind and helpful. I had Anna at the screening station and she was super nice and then I had Adam during the actual donation and he was really friendly and nice too, just to name a few ?? I am a pretty regular donor and so I get to interact with a lot of the phlebotomists here and overall it's a good part of my day to interact and chat with them wh
Signing up was quick and efficient. Everyone is welcoming and courteous. I love BioLife!!
I've been donating at Biolife for at least 18 months or more. For the past several weeks there's been a broken sink and broken urinal for several weeks and the bathroom is a very busy place. Sitting and waiting to use the bathroom or be able to wash hands isn't a fun experience. Also sitting and waiting to be disconnected while several other people are being hooked up and other machines are being prepped for the next person is not respectful at all. Standing in line forever to get vitals done when there's n
Got there for the new donor physical/donation. Checked in. Waited an hour. Finally got called and she looked at me and said ?sorry, you can't donate cause your arms are tattooed.? Nowhere on the requirements does it say that. At no point was I told that when the same exact woman checked me in. Wasted over an hour of my time.
If i could give more stars I would. Amazing place great staff. I donate here twice a week for over 3 months now and I gotta say this is the best biolife location I have ever been to. And I've lived in alot of different states. So many employees that work here I would like to acknowledge for making the experience more personal and relaxing, the kind of experience that always brings me back to this location, however I'm terrible with names so for most of them I will have to describe. Some of the employees are
I always have a great experience, even though they are sticking you with a needle and sucking your blood L O L! I always have the nicest people and they always ask about my day, and what I'm up to next! All the phlebotomist are extremely personable and even funny! The money of course is incredible, especially with the economy being so poor - Bidenomics is in full swing and all! I would recommend this to anybody, I have already told several people! I have no idea what they're doing with the plasma, but I def
Honestly an amazing staff. Very informative, approachable, and easy to talk to. Especially Callista, Ryan, and Monique. Only the few I could catch their names. But amazing amazing amazing. I learned I have anxiety with needles coming at me. And these 3 were spectacular with distracting me. And making me feel welcomed and comfortable. I unfortunately had a reaction due to lack of nourishment or hydration (completely my fault) and they made me feel safe, and sort of a king at the same time. So Thank you guys.
The employees are always so cheerful and helpful. They really try to help me feel comfortable and answer any questions I may have. The facility is clean and pleasant. I've been coming here for over 2 years now. What a great way to help others and earn a little extra money on the side.
I love this place BECAUSE of its people! They are so kind and conscientious. They ALL try very hard! KEVIN poked me today. He is the manager. He is just the BEST!! These people love their jobs because of KEVIN!! ??????
My technician was caileigh ( the taller one) today , she was super friendly, had a big smile, super funny, and really helpful In making my whole experience enjoyable for me :) will always come to this location
I have been donating here for almost a year. I have had great experiences. The staff is usually very helpful and I'm in and out in just over an hour. Every time I've been in in the past month, they've had 20-40 people in line, and still have to wait after the initial "physical" for them to gather enough cards. They physically have enough beds and stations to get every one through in a timely fashion, however are extremely overbooked and understaffed. Don't advertise a relaxing "hour" of time with myself an
Raquel and Anna were absolutely amazing! They made my first time donating so smooth, and were an absolute pleasure! They very thoroughly explained everything, and made sure all of my questions were answered!
Staff is always friendly. They are fast to get you in and out they understand that your time is valuable. I go out of my way to go to this facility
My boyfriend and I tried to donate at Biolife and were treated incredibly rudely. We came into the Boise location with a 1:15 pm appointment. We arrived about 10 minutes early. We were very impressed with the building- very nice and clean. We did have to wait quite a while... (my boyfriend waited an hour and never was seen) but the staff were very friendly, so it made up for it. We ate at 11 am and had a 1:15 pm appointment. I thought that was okay because it was right around the 2 hour mark. The website st
I have been donating at the Boise center since December 2022. I love the professional quality and care I receive. I keep coming back to this facility because of the people. The monetary compensation is nice as well, but not the main reason I keep returning.
This place is great for the most part! The front office staff is pretty awful though. They move incredibly slow and most are not the nicest. All the other employees at super nice. It is a very clean environment and I feel safe donating there! Would definitely recommend coming here:)
Having new techs work on people and causing them to bruise which renders them unable to donate happens more often than not and isn't a good way to operate.
I understand if you are scared to try this out but rest assured, you don't need to be. I was very nervous my first time going in but was truly surprised by the ease of the process. From start to finish, every step was clearly explained. The staff was beyond excellent and I interacted with over 10 different staffers. Each one of them was kind, very thorough in their explanation of steps and what was going on, even telling me what the next person would do, etc. Shianne was the first person to screen me and im
The staff at Boise BioLife are always so professional and kind. During my last donation, my technician was Leslie and she was wonderful! She made every part of my donation seamless, made sure I was comfortable and taken care of throughout, and was just overall personable and delightful. Thank you!
It's the easiest money I've ever made. The employees there are always nice, supportive and professional. Even if you're nervous about needles or blood they make you feel comfortable about the entire experience. The process is usually relatively quick too. In and out in about an hour. Highly recommend seeing them. You get a great experience, are saving lives and get paid for basically just relaxing . What is not to love?!
Raquel at the Boise Biolife was very informative and made the donation go much smoother than usual! She taught me that our arm/wrist may tend to move to resting position and turn slightly while pumping/plasma is being drawn, which can move the needle and cause some discomfort. She showed me to leave my wrist oriented comfortably upon needle insertion so this can be prevented! Changed everything! ??
I used to consistently donate plasma at this location and was always incredibly impressed with the timeliness and cleanliness of the environment, as well as the attentive staff. I had a 2:00 appointment today where I arrived a bit early before sitting to wait for assistance. I informed one of the nurses I was there for a physical, so I assumed that was me checking in. After 20 minutes of waiting, they told me I was late for my appointment and would need a reschedule. I understand they are short-staffed, but
Always fast, clean and very professional. Everyone is so knowledgeable and they have very strict guidelines they follow. I love this donation center.
Upon having transactions with most business, Dr., Dentist, box stores, they always are asking for me to complete a survey. This review is totally on my own, no one asked for my input. The five stars go to the receptionists, the nurses and especially the phlebotomists. They have a stressful, monotonous and precise job. They all perform their duties with dignity, personality and always try to make sure we patrons are treated with kindness. They could not make my visit more pleasant. Thank you.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
