Staff is awesome from start to finish! Very on your feet work and to be on top of everything with genuine respect and service! Thank Ladies!
I'm trying to understand why you require someone to come in and go all the way though the registration, the picture, the fingerprint, the vital, the 15 min computer stuff before telling them they can't donate with certain diagnoses. I called two weeks ago and specifically asked if I could don't if I had Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was told they couldn't give me that info over the phone and I would have to come in and have a physical. The second I mentioned RA, she immediately told me I was eligible. What a huge
Every time I come in to donate, it's very convenient from start to finish. Michelle took my vitals and was very courteous, same goes for my phlebotomist, Will. Top notch customer service!
It went very well. Not busy. Calm. John is the best worker there. The needle poke was decent.
Pay me 70 then put a 70 dollar hold on my card (no, I wasn't deferred) then say there's nothing you can do. Bullshit.
New machine really speeds it up. This is good when lines are long and not enough workers. Some they do have tend to spend more time standing around talking than helping. Have had alarms go off and they just look at each like who's going to get it. But they do have some great people who are helpful. Have waited 5 to 10 minutes plus to be stuck or disconnected. So frustrating.
I've donated over 500 times at the Cedar Falls location. Mostly good experiences. I'm confused as to why my compensation jumps from one extreme to another. Also, I am a giver and sometimes I keep bleeding when I leave. I'll ask for 2 gauze and a tight wrap. My tight wrap is different than the phlybotomists tight wrap. I think they're afraid to hurt me. I'd like to point out employees that have left a good impression on me. Kat, SAD (Steph), Chris, Abbey and Dee (nurse). They go above and beyond, address me
I've gotten a wrong answer to every question I've asked resulting in wasted trips. Compensation seems to be inconsistent. Staff is friendly, and the facilities are clean.
I've had only positive experiences at the Cedar Falls BioLife Plasma center. I donate twice a week, and have interacted with many of the phlebotomists at this centre. They do a fantastic job of ensuring that you understand the process before you agree to anything, as well as explaining the process step by step during the donation. I had one occasion where my vein rolled, and I lost some blood; I was still paid for the donation regardless- they do not take anything out of your body without paying you or putt
I am so happy to say the last 4 times I was logging in to Biolife, I had no troubles. That makes my experience so much better.
I had no complaints with my 2 donations last week!! I do have a problem with Takeda feeling it necessary to starting taking away from our current monetary donation reward!! I received 135.00 last week, now they are offering 125.00 this week!! I hope this is not a continued pattern!!!
Zawadi is a phenomenal phlebotomist. What she pricked me she did it efficiently and painlessly. There was no pain in my arm while donating like there has been with other donations. She's excellent at her job and very on top of things for her section. All of the employees are good but she does her job with care and precision.
The front desk where we answer questions and get our vitals, etc is amazing. The people there are kind and efficient. They get us in fast. Most of the time once I sit in the chair, I'm tended to pretty quickly BUT there have been times when the employees like to visit with each other a little too much. I know sometimes they are short-staffed and a person can see that right away. Then you understand the delay BUT when I'm dinging and ready to go home, I've waited as long as 10 minutes to unhook. Other times
After finishing my questionnaire it said my profile was under review and told me to wait. I waited for just about an hour and there were 3 people that sat down long after I had and saw the nurse long before I did. My appointment was for 12:45 and I didn't see the nurse until I had to ask for her 3 times and was about to leave at 1:43. My time with the nurse took only 1-2 minutes. It was not busy and there was never a line to get your finger poked.
I love coming to donate at the Cedar Falls facility. I wish I could do it more often but I do live close to an hour away so it doesn't work out as often as I would like. I do understand that system updates and technology upgrades but last night (11/29/2023) the questions took so long to do. I couldn't go to the next questions for a good minute each if not a minute and half, when I was able to read them much faster. I was caught just sitting here waiting for a new question. Over all the facility is great.
Today I went into donate. It was busy, but the employees passed right by me like I didn't even exist.I felt very discriminated against. They helped all the White donators and then pay no attention to me. Got their machine hooked up to get ready to start donating and I'm still sitting there What a empty machine. So I got up to go up to the front to talk to a supervisor and a supervisor didn't want to come to the front.I guess it ain't their problem. Guess it's just a black problem
Well most of the staff that day were preoccupied with each other talking loudly and laughing about there personnel issues and what they did the night before. Myself and others felt uncomfortable and were patiently waiting to start the donation and ready to get disconnected. It seemed that there personnel business was much more important than job in hand. Very unprofessional in my opinion with many of the staff standing around and complaining on whos staying or going home that day. This seems to be a trend
Staff was very helpful, courteous and respectful. They were very informative and let me know every step of the process along the way.
They are great at what they do and they are very reassuring. If you are nervous, it doesn't hurt, but it is kind of uncomfortable. Definitely doable though.
Maybe the staff could be friendly? I asked the girl how her day was going and she snapped at me "alive"! It made me feel uncomfortable. That's not the first time someone was rude or not friendly at all. I'm honestly debating whether I will be donating in the future.
This is proof you have no clue. I have not donated in a month. Thanks for being on top of things
The workers are always very friendly. Cat was phenomenal with making sure I was comfortable and that everything was going alright.
In cedar falls iowa they have been respectful and we always trying to get me in and out quickly. They always treated me fair
Even during their busiest times when there are long lines the staff are all still welcoming, friendly, and appreciative for your donation. I will say, some staff are better at inserting the needle than others. On Sunday when I was in, I was lucky enough to get Diego, who does an awesome job at that. Thank you CF staff for all that you do!
Staff is always friendly and helpful.
I've donated here probably five times or so and my phlebotomists have always been super professional and especially good with me as someone with kinda difficult veins whose donations tend to go slow. And getting to spend an hour in the lil donor chairs would make it worth donating for free in my opinion. Them things is comfy as hell.
The workers there are very nice and do there best job of getting you through in a timely matter even when they are busy.
The gal who did my initial stick wasn't friendly and didn't even acknowledge her mistake or apologize for it. We had to have another gentleman come correct it and ended up switching arms. I am a person that has feelings. Now I have a huge bruise and she just walked away.
The staff is so caring! I would have made my donation bonus in time but I had to be sent away three times because of my pulse was too high. Even though I checked it again when I got in my car and was at least 20 under what they said it was.
The cedar Falls Center and the Staff there are amazing. I have donated at other centers and these people are the BEST!!!! Now just get them the updated machines so that donations can be done faster and you would see many more people donating there as well.
Friendly people. I did have an air bubble Sunday, they were right on it.
I like them all personally, but I had a really good coupon and two donations in a row they screwed by arm up. The second time she blew my vein resulting in a massive bruise and very very sore arm still 3 weeks later. I couldn't donate and finish out the coupon and lost $200. I wish more training went into it. Not only are people lives depending on it but also the livelihood of the donators. Very disappointed I lost that money and am still in the pain 3 weeks later. I can barely even touch my arm.
Jacob, the young man who received me, was very rude. He raised his voice at me when I asked him to repeat himself and acted generally annoyed that he had to do his job. At the end of my visit, my bandaging blew up and I bled all over the place. Somehow I was less perturbed by that then this guy and his attitude. I hope I never end up in his chair again.
It has been a good experience.
The visit was great, but the fact that I'm delayed in giving and will lose my coupon is frustrating. This is all due to a spike in my bloodwork, probably due to the multivitamin I started. No one answers the phone at BioLife, it's frustrating because I just want to get in there and give. I started taking the multivitamin because my iron was low anyway.
Stephanie was fantastic! I truly wish it could go back to no scheduling. It makes it more inconvenient and adds another level of stress on my already chaotic life.
Great and friendly staff. I enjoy the conversations and they explain everything if you have any questions
The staff was very friendly and they made sure I felt okay and was comfortable with the whole process.
Every time I go they make sure to make me feel welcomed, Everyone was very attentive and made sure my donation went smoothly.
The staff is always pleasant and is knowledgeable when you ask questions. The bonuses are an acceptable amount and you get them frequently. The building is clean and staffed with friendly people. I have bee to two centers, and by far this is the best one.
Staff is always pleasant and the compensation and bonuses are fantastic! Well worth your time (and contribution to those benefiting from medications and therapies) Staff like Nicole M. and Abby keep it lively and make time pass quickly. ??
I was nervous before coming in because I don't like needles but the experience is pretty easy and mostly pain-free
I like this place, have been going for a while. Some employees are a little harsh when it comes to the beginning process, others are flawless. I recently began taking my daughter into the daycare, she likes it but when certain people are on duty she gets very nervous.
They are very efficient and are a well oiled machine. I didn't rate the center the highest rating is because Im frustrated with management trying to resolve the new donor payout issue with me since October with no resolution
The staff there is wonderful; they are friendly, efficient and professional. The building is clean, and the atmosphere is relaxing. The whole process is very easy.
Hey my body wasn't ready. Nothing else really to say but that. The staff.was very courteous and professional they always are but also they keep everyone comfortable and that is why I'll return tomorrow. Thanks
great experience almost always make money successfully
I've been donating on and off for the past three years now. For the most part, it's a smooth experience, but the past year has not been so smooth. There would be intense vibrations through my veins. I would tell the staff members that it hurts. They were either slow the machine down or adjust the needle. But it sucks when it does the same thing 10 more times and you tell the staff members repeatedly that it hurts. Sometimes the staff do not seemed concerned at all. I think I am done donating. It hasn't been
I usually get in and out in about an hour. Staff is friendly and I regularly see promotions to add additional $ to each of my donations on top of the regular advertised promotions. It has been a great way for me to find free time to read and get paid for it
Yes, I rated it that way because everyone was kind and helpful. Everyone had a smile and a great attitude! Thank you!
Employees very friendly and pleasant. Take very good care of me. They are more like old friends then anything else. I can give some problems because of scar tissue but Kenzie and Shelby are always perfect.
I enjoy most of the people that work here. Kay is very friendly and loves to talk when she can and showed me how to pull this up. Lisa is great with my daughter in the play room and they both get excited to see each other. I love how everyone says hi and call me by my name. People to point out that always do great, Z, V, halie, John, shaunna, Sidney, dee, Abby, Cody and I'm sure there are more but thank you all for great support and service
Staff was pleasant. Facility was very clean and comfortable. Staff seemed organized and educated. Quick process overall
Excellent staff and very kind and greet you with a smile. I'm a red vein and Danika sticks me every time without any problem !
All the people here are very nice and always welcoming. Diego is my go to and would recommend to anyone for a great stick every time! Thanks biolife ion CF!
Professional place with some awesome employees
The staff is very nice and friendly. Everyone from the people who test you at the beginning to the staff that draw the plasma. Its a very relaxing experience.
Love the Cedar Falls Center. Attentive staff that treat you like friends. Always thank me for coming in. Great money! I've financed all of our family vacations for the past 3 years with Biolife money.
Great service. Avoid 5:00 pm time it can get backed up. Weekends are generally slower. Outside of 5:00-6:30 pm I have always gotten in and out in about an hour. Everyone is helpful and compassionate.
Understaffed, long wait lines, long periods of waiting once placed in a donation station, multiple issues with my profile and donation status after physical.
They don't mind there business
Been donating at this location for years. Easy money every week! Update- After almost 10 years of donating twice a week almost every single week with no problem, I'm on the verge of giving up donating plasma. First thing, Biolife seems to value new donors far, far more than long time donors. There is no reason why new donors should be allowed to cut in line after the first donation. Next issue is that it has become impossible to schedule appointments and when appointments open, they're at inconvenient tim
Everyone was very considerate and answered any all questions I had. The whole place had a pleasant atmosphere.
Biolife in Cedar Falls is a wonderful place to help people and get helped if that process needs it. People like Lisa are exceptionally friendly and are able to get you thru to the right places. Darlin is just one of the skilled and knowledgeable workers who make the visit fast , friendly and painless. Amra is one of the best professional people at Biolife ,she makes any problem go away quickly. It is easy to help other people if you set your mind to it , and you have workers like the ones at Cedar Falls Bi
I definitely would recommend Danika to stick you! Been requesting her for a almost 4 months, she knows what she's doing and never bruised my arm ?? Overall this BioLife is my favorite.
Everytime I come in to BioLife Plasma Services, the facility is so clean and the staff is so friendly!! The nurses and staff are very good at making me comfortable and they take good care of me during my donation!
Every time I come in for a donation, I am treated really well from the first person I see to the last one at the end of the donation. They are all very respectful.
the team was amazing! it was a 100 degree day and their AC was broken and they still all had amazing attitudes. Thank you!
Friendly, attentive staff took good care of me and the whole process doesn't take very long.
I've been coming here since my 18th birthday and have rarely had issues. The staff are kind a gracious when things happen and are always happy to answer your questions. That's not to say it's always perfect because nothing is but I donate plasma to help save lives. It doesn't hurt that the money instantly uploads to your BioLife card after your donation.
Clean, efficient, and pleasant. As of this writing, donating twice a week gets you $50, and they regularly run bonuses that can get you an extra $20 - $30 per month. Not bad for an hour a visit!
The staff is always very nice and tries to do their best job to make the donation comfortable and quick. I have been going to this location for half a year and I have already had a better experience than at Ankeny.
My experience from beginning to end went smoothly, and the staff was great!
I've been donating here off and on for approx 9 years. Always very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Everything runs very smooth even during very busy times which I really appreciate!
The staff were all very friendly. My donation went smoothly and quickly.
It's a decent place, most of the time the phlebotomist care and stuff but I would be nice if they could stop their conversations with other phlebotomist while they stick me. Some dont seem to care, and that kinda ruins the experience, but the ones that are good do a good job.
Had been donating here since I moved to the area. The last year it became so difficult to even come in and not due to COVID. The last version of their app would constantly delete my appointments I would make a week in advance. Their new app barelynlets me make them period. Now they suddenly don't allow you to donate plasma for 2 days over what? .1 degrees Fahrenheit. "You have a fever" absolutely ridiculous.
The BioLife staff are all super friendly and make my donations more enjoyable. They do a great job and are always willing to hold conversations with the donors who are wanting to. Great environment
Everytime I come in they are really friendly and make u feel comfortable when u get here. As someone who is scared of needles I have gotten use to it. I don't look at the needle when it goes in so that helps. I sometimes bring my son in with me and he gets to play with some friends. He really enjoys that. ?? my veins r hard to find so I tell them before that my right arm Vein goes sideways so they know and helps them find it. And it's also very easy money. For the most part they r time efficient. Some nites
The entire process was smooth and I had no issues at any point!
All of my interactions with employees were wonderful. They were kind & helpful.
Not impressed at all. They make around $500 per liter of manufactured plasma. I received $20. They care about the money not the patients. some nurses are very nice others seem annoyed and are not friendly. Their cheap compensation is not worth feeling sick for 2 days after!!!
Always have a great experience the employees are very ausom
This place is better than Waterloo tbh and i gotta say. Danika is your go to if you're not in a hurry and don't wanna bleed out!
Always a nice and quiet place to spend in our. Cody did a great job along with everyone else who works there. Always peaceful and quiet.
Staff is great to deal with but their equipment is out of calibration and everytime protein sample is drawn comes back with deferral as their the results are no where what the test in the facility reads..if protein can't be lower then 6.0 and your equipment says im good to donate but then you pull a sample and tell me im not safe to donate due to protein level is too low..that means it wasnt safe to donate prior to the sample as the equipment used in facility is giving false readings.
I only just started going here but they've been very nice to me so far
Great that there were multiple people checking in and all the staff was super friendly
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
