I donated here two days ago, and still haven't received payment. I was told the day I donated that their payment system was delayed, but I would receive it within 24 hours. It's been well over 24 hours, and I haven't been paid. Its impossible to get someone on the phone over there, they never answer it no matter what extension you dial. I've left several messages, and nobody's called me back. I've been donating here for a couple years, and this isn't the first time they've had a "glitch" in their payment sy
Constantly having issues with the computers up front. When you come in the building you have to fill out a health questionnaire, you push yes, no, or I don't know. Problem is that when you touch yes/no, the computer inputs I do not know then because their machines are messed up you gotta waste time and go see a Dr to be able to donate. 2nd time this happened to me. I literally watched the selections as I clicked them and at least 5 selected I don't know when I selected yes or no. The employees up front have
Cierra and Tee were both exceptional again today. They were professional, personable and communicated body language and attention to beeping machines and the safety needs of myself and others who were in other sections. A upper level manager working on the floor wasn't even receptive to the red lights or noise on my machine... Thankfully T recognized it and jumped in twice so assist.... I observed an MMS employee carelessly push a cart with computer loaded and it fell on the floor ?? while I was in line fo
At first the donations was ok. The organization of the facility is not well and the staffing is low but it was clean. After a while you can tell when workers were stretched thin due to their customer service. Those who donate have a lot of stand up time awaiting a bed and then to receive attitudes from those who pick and choose. Another reason for this rating is for the advertising of payment it's misleading to get you to donate.
Brown skin mid aged women with septum, and gauged ears with glasses, can not perform her job correctly. She was me my cousin and best friends phlebotomist, she messed mine up. And bruised both of my friends, other phlebotomist had to come over to help. I gave three stars because there are people there that are customer friendly and perform their job correctly. However I believe she needs to be retrained or fired
Fine once you're in the bed bug always takes 45 minutes to even get to that point Needs more people on front desk
Amaya is an excellent worker, even when short staff. She did amazing if I could I give her a raise I sure will. Keep up the great work she Deserves employee of the day today. Thanks for being positive and focused on ur job and concern with donors questions.????they get u some help in there. Great job Amaya
My experience was ok , and I kind of understand cuz they just open but they need more organization and communication to improve, the workers (most of them) are extremely kind and that helps a lot . My first appointment took for ever I scheduled at 9 am and I left at 12:30pm so keep that in mind , the second on I scheduled at 9am as well and I left at 10:39am with out even get to donated , so keep that on my that I will be always more time than you expected .
The only place I will ever donate at. Been going here for 3 years. The other plasma places in Columbus Georgia can't compete. Thank you guys for everything you do!!
Staff is always pleasant helpful and look after their patients and it is always very clean. I try to donate 1 time per week recently because it saves lives.
I feel compelled to express my concern regarding an incident involving Katie, the intake technician at the plasma center. It was alarming to witness her forcibly grab my mother?s arm while attempting to take her blood pressure. My mother had her arm extended across the counter, and her clothing was light enough that the reading could have been taken without any issues, which she communicated to Katie. However, Katie insisted that my mother expose her skin by removing her arm from her shirt. When my mother
My experience has always been very good at this location. The staff is always pleasant and attentive.
The staff really does care! They saw I ate 4 hrs prior to the visit and made sure I had snacks and 2 protein shakes. The physician made it so smooth and easy while also being very informative for my 1st time donating. It was a little long because of paperwork but the whole step of the way was delightful because of the staff.
Great staff!!! It was such a pleasure to have Kacey take care of me! Kind, nice, and a great sticker lol ??
Their appointment system makes no sense. When you make an appointment you'll never know if you're going to be there for an hour or four hours. The amount of people they have working the floor is completely random on any given day. They need to either limit the number of appointments or hire more staff because the wait time is consistently ridiculous and entirely defeats the purpose of an appointment based system.
I was greeted with a beautiful smile and evaluated by Nina for blow sample and blood pressure. Very respectful and courteous. Took great care of me and sent me on my way to see Audrey who was my PH. Audrey stuck me so easily it was flawless. Audrey checked on me repeatedly to make sure I was feeling well and that the process was going fluently. My experience was awesome with both ladies today.
I see why most don't come back or even want to work. It's either they take to dang long, not wanting to open up a section to better serve the customers, or simply just the pure fact that yeah we got to wait, but the fact that you want open a section to better serve is dumb as all get out. If y?all really want to keep folks coming back or gain more employees, there needs to be huge change. There's no way some one who is hear at 9am, here until 1 or 2pm, for example. Yes, that really happens and that's why yo
They are professional and clean but very personable. They don't treat you like cattle, move in move out! Mrs. Doris is especially nice! Jessica is also! The wait times can be long but we have never waited very long. It just depends on the times you go.
Needs more staff members. Always short handed. Took 4 hours this last visit. Just got to the point of not being worth the time for what little pay they give. Been donating since 2020 and each time gets worse and worse.
I have been going to Biolife for about 8 months now, before it was pretty quick as far as getting in and out but over the past few weeks the lines have been so long it makes you wonder why they even have appointments. They clearly need to schedule less appointments or hire more staff. Many people end up leaving because they don't want to wait in line for two hours.
They cheated me out of money the first time I went. Had a bad reaction to the donation had to go to hospital get fluids and meds.
I have been going to this location for over a year now. The people are always nice no matter the day. The best part has been Cass. She is like a walking book of information. She makes sure i understand the process completely and even reviews facts with me. I already have a great experience, but she makes it even better.
Great place to help people while making extra money. Staff is very professional.
I'm a fairly new doner. Everyone here has been super nice and super professional. The problem is the wait time. Every time. It's usually about 3 hours, if not more, here. Today there's a note on the door to expect delays because there is only one phlebotomist. ??
Been 2 times, disappointed. Was turned away cause they couldn't find veins told me I wasn't hydrated enough. I came back very well hydrated, and I could feel my own veins in both arms. I have been through phlebotomy school, even dehydrated pre phlebotomist could find my veins. I was there for a total of 6 hours, was just overall disappointed I figured I would be at least somewhat compensated, oh well.
If I could give zero stars, I would. Absolutely the most disgusting, messy and stagnant Plasma Center I've encountered in my 20 years of donating. This goes for the facility and STAFF. I have never felt more racially profiled then when I walk in this building. They don't want your white people plasma, and they don't want white people working there. There is most definitely racist employees. The wait time is ridiculous. 4 hours on my last visit and the machines are always messing up. I've had my veins blown
My first visit was a bit scary since I'm adverse to needles. The technicians were very personable and gentle. The softer touch made all the difference in the world. I'm back today for visit #2. #lifesaver
Almost no wait time. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Most of the staff is pretty friendly. I stopped going after the second time in a week that I had to wait over 2 hours to actually be seen, the second time resulting in one of the phlebotomists jamming the needle around in my arm trying to get it to take before switching to the other arm. Both of my arms were bruised after this and I had to wait another 3 hours on my next visit to be told to go home and try again another day. I will not be going to this location anymore because it's not worth 3-4 hours of my
Everyone has been really nice, professional, and helpful to me. I also never had to wait longer than 10 minutes to actually get the donation process started, but maybe it's just the times that I go. After the first visit, the subsequent visits have taken me about 70 minutes. They'll give you water/electrolyte drinks and a snack if you need them. Their hygiene practices are very good; they wear gloves and wipe down the chairs with what I think is a disinfectant spray and paper towels before each donor. They
Height checks making the line longer for zero purpose whatsoever. After donation, I am told I will need to do a vein check. Next donation I can't complete the questionnaire because it says unable to donate. Manager is unavailable so they can't waive the restriction. I thought all I needed was a vein check. Front desk was also rude.
After waiting for an hour to be seated. I was seated at a machine that didn't work. They stuck me and were able to get some plasma but then the machine went down. After all that they did not give me my bonus for a new donor. I asked about it and never got an answer.
Ellie does a fantastic job at sticking the needle where you can't hardly feel it. That's awesome for someone who hates needles. Jill is always so nice and speaks to people. Very friendly. She does a great job sticking the needle as well. Suggestion: please put a hanger on the back of the bathroom doors to hang jackets or purses so they do not have to go on the floor.
this place is always busy and absurdly booked. the last 3 times i waited at least 90 minutes for my APPOINTMENT. there is almost jo use to make an appointment. not sure if its staffing or lack of scheduling technology, but this place is unbelievably slow. The techs are nice enough but its slllooooowwwww
I stopped by to donate after the person on the phone said to just come in person. Big mistake by me , the folks seemed overwhelmed by the number of people donating. I was there for 4 hrs and will not make that mistake again.
It should not take over 2 hours to even get the the chair to donate? If you're short staffed, quit signing up new donors? It's very frustrating to STAND with no place to sit and wait for 2-3 hours and other staff is signing up new people.. Take care of the donors you already have? Also, what is the point of making an appointment if the system allows more people to make appointments than you have staff to take care of these donors? The floor staff, however, all appear to work really hard and are wonderful to
Always enjoy the kind staff, they're always friendly and Kamore who helped me today was super friendly and fast and had me amazed at the multitasking. If you get her then rest assure you will be taken care of A+++++ keep up the great work!!!!
The staff is very friendly and professional. I always look forward to donating.
I've tried to donate a total of 5 times. They allowed me to donate 2 time's they kept defuring me until my bonus expired. Ive never got a new beginner bonus. I want my money. This will probably be my last time. They have been paying me the amount they pay everyone else. Asking for some coupon. The way y'all could help is keep y'all promises and pay the money y'all advertise. I talked to manger she told me i need to go to go to upper people.
I went this morning for my appointment. I was not even seen until 2.5 hours after I arrived. The line basically didn't move. When I finally was examined to be seen they told me I can't donate because I didn't have two active veins. I have never had a problem donating with one vein. I drove two hours and waited two and half hours just to be denied. The staff was nice, but wait time was ridiculous. Why even have an appointment?
Word, I thought I had found a simple and easy way to make a good amount of money for little effort... But after you go there the first time you are going to have wait at least an hour or two (standing too). Then after the first few times they hit you up with "yeah, best we can do is 40$." The staff is wonderful and they professionalism is top notch but believe it you are being used just like a dealer or hustler would do. But if you absolutely have to, then I'd say it's the best place to be disappointed and
While BioLife is great, it can't be compared to Red Cross. Red Cross as the best service anyone can have. Right now they are having a $20 give card for anyone that wants to donate platelets or blood. While I can't donate blood, I can still do the platelets donate. One thing that I really like about Red Cross is that they let you get as many snacks as you want after your blood or others donation.
Computer error happens alot. Have to do physical every 3 months. Despite what it may say. Normally it's yearly 4hr day
Great to support and save lives for the sick and elderly. After your promotion runs out on new patients the reward in cash and the point system is less than desireable. (Redeeming your points system has been broke for some time now and doesn't seem to be a concern for the company. Deducted 2 stars cause thats part of the reward.) As far as staff goes everyone is super nice and do a great job getting you in and out.
My draw was handled my Amanda and she was amazing!!! it was one of the best donating experiences I've had in my life and will never forget how well she treated me and how excellent she performed her job..I'd give her 100 stars if I could.
I wanted to leave a 5 stars to the staff of this biolife. Specifically Nina! who is always cheerful and kind. Always making you feel comfortable and making sure all your needs are met. Most importantly though when she is on the floor you can see the tone of professionalism she sets while working.
It has been almost two months and my daughter has not received her card. The reason she agreed to do this was to help ends meet and they have, time and time again refused to help her get her card. Montgomery office won't either. This is may not be a scam, but they have terrible business practices. BBB has plenty of complaints. We should have looked there before she donated.
I have had nothing but great experiences with this location! Melissa is such a pleasant person to interact with. She is very patient with each and every person she comes in contact with. She makes it a point to acknowledge and make eye contact with every person who walks through the door, which makes you feel important and special. This company is very lucky to have her! Kayla is very warm, kind and a joy to be poked with a needle from! She does it as gentle as possible and tells you exactly what she is goi
Cassie have an awesome personality. I can see getting better daily. Her and all the staff be moving and getting each client out quickly. Great location to visit!!!
So,I scheduled an appointment with BioLife Plasma in Columbus to start donating plasma again. I had to complete a physical which can take some time however the physical was quick and swift. Stood in line for 30 mins before I got in a bed. There was 3 technicians and 42 ppl standing in line waiting for a bed at 4:45 pm. Technician had got me connected to the machine and after my third draw I noticed on the return my vein swole up because technician infiltrated my vein, which caused bruises around needle area.
Ms. Nina is great I love her. Even though she said I have SpongeBob arms, which is hilarious if you were to see me. Always a great time with this crew. Please come down and donate if you can.
Ok I posted some months back a bad review but this center has really made a 360 no more long wait times great and caring staff still no seats but you get a fast and timely experience and it's just feels good to help out
I always have a great experience when I donate here. Everyone is always really friendly, from my Favorite Screener Nina(aaaaa) to my favorite Phleb Cass . I've never had a problem here donating or a bad experience.
I don't know why you set an appointment, I didn't get into a chair in the back until 3:15 pm and my appointment was 12:15pm. I stood in line for 3 hours. This is unacceptable. In the 3 hours there the line got up to 32 people and 7 of them ended up walking out.
Great staff. Friendly. Clean environment. Probably the highest paying in Columbus as well, but the wait times are ridiculous! I don't see the point in having to make an appointment when you're going to wait more than a hour guaranteed just to get in a chair. Probably my last time as of today Update.. appointment at 1045 is 1245 and I'm still not in a chair. I will never be viking back. To hell with this place and the employee with bad attitude that get paid hourly to work. Hour more ppl
Place is a joke, I've donated other places before and they told me I have to go see a doctor because I have scars on my shoulders. They said there was nothing in the policy about it an issue but rejected me anyways. I feel discriminated against there was no reason for it nor any medical reason for the scars to cause an issue for donations.
Kamore is a very outstanding worker here at bio life and always in great spirit
Lines take forever and management is a joke. They'll take your protein levels and say your good to donate, then when you come back will tell you it was too low the last time, so now will have to wait over a week to donate. If it was low I never should've been allowed to donate in the first place. This place is a joke and is actually one of the lower paying plasma places. Id recommend octapharama. Way friendly staff and actually communicate things.
I have only been twice. My first time I was there a little over 4 hours my second time the wait was longer but doable. Everyone is friendly and nice. My second time is my last. The wait doesn't bother me. But my second stuck hurt, I'm pretty sure there was digging in my arm. I didn't even finish. They do not have enough staff and it does seem like they over book appointment times. Which is probably more of a corporate issue. I heard the phlebotomist say they didn't have any time for their breaks. Which is i
Overall had a decent experience until like my 4th donation when my pulse ran high I felt fine and even ask is there a form I can sign so they aren't liable but no. I didn't get to make my quota for getting the 800 dollars for 8 donations which I would've like. And this is not the bigger problem after sending someone home so many times knowing they are wanting to donate because they ask to sign a form they don't even offer compensation pay for you being sent home more then once it doesn't have to be the full
First time there I could not donate due to not meeting criteria no worries rules are rules and in place for safety. Returned on 4/23/23 for physical and donation checked in for my 11am appointment had to wait but that is life we are destined to have to wait not everything can be instantaneous. The staff was very courteous, helpful, caring, respectful, and informative.
The staff that they do have is very friendly and helpful. It's a very clean, safe, great atmosphere, you'll see a lot of military, first responders, and law enforcement coming in to donate which I think is great they take their time out of their schedules to continue to save lives. The only reason I'm giving a three star is because they sometimes take forever to hook you up to the machine, I literally sat on the bed for almost 30 min before I got hook up. So expect an longer wait time to be check, called to
I would to say that BioLife Staff is very kind and courtesy .. And easy to communicate with.. Amanda and Jill and Sara..Thad...There are veryful and kind to all donors
Wait times are way too long. Last time I was there donating they only had one person doing the initial screenings and the people that were processing new donors were working twice as fast as the one person processing regular donors. I had 4 people cut in front of me in line because of the new donor policy, in the same amount of time the person that was processing regular donors processed about three donors. Then when I was waiting in the line to actually be hooked up to the machine they processed like two o
Friendly atmosphere and very professional .. no time wasted, gets you in and out in a timely manner !! I also never had to wait longer than 10 minutes to actually get the donation process started?
The line are quite often exceptionally long even with an ?appointment? there is usually only 1-2 associates performing the check ins. There is no waiting are or places to sit once you've been cleared to donate. The waiting area usually has a line of 20 or more people. I would not recommend donating here is you have bad knees or hips. Accommodations are lacking for donors.
Excellent staff, excellent service, very hospitable and professional. Strongly recommended
Wish the process to a chair wasn't so long. Went in and 3 empty chairs per color and still waiting in line for an hour ridiculous
I had a great first time visit! I was promptly and cheerfully greeted when I walked in the door by a gentleman I forgot to get a name from. Ellie took my vitals and was very kind and talked in detail about the process she was doing. I was then seen by Shandra who was also very kind and thorough in her portion. JT was my phlebotomist and was incredibly gentle and answered every question I had (which was a lot!) and also talked through every step and he was taking. I've seen Shandra and Ellie on other visits
Maybe someone can help me understand, but what is the point of making an appointment if your just going to wait in line for 4 hours behind someone who just walked in and smells like they haven't washed their butts in 3 days? An appointment means you should be seen at the time scheduled. Kick all people out who don't have an appointment and make them schedule one so the wait isnt so long. I won't go back until they figure it out.
Nina is great!! She is always welcoming with a smile on her face and makes sures to build rapport with every client that comes through.
Biolife does provide a way to make additional i come from donating plasma. I typically earn $110-125 per week, donating twice per week. However, I should warn you of several things. The time it takes for the entire process can run from one hour to over three hours for a standard donation. They claim they desperately need donations yet will take every opportunity to screw you and prevent you from donating. Their rules are arbitrary and make no sense. You cannot reason with them. They make mistakes that cost
Katie is the best I never feel anything when she sticks me
The donation process is a good experience. However, the wait times are extraordinary. Sometimes I'm in line over 2 hours before the donation even starts.
Couldn't agree more with a previous reviewer who noted the incentives are skewed. Instead of whatever the weekly amount is dividing it by 50% they give the bulk of the incentive on the second donation sounds innocent enough until you think if you are deferred for any reason at all, including Faulty needle sticking you end up with a paltry sum after in some cases waiting 2 1/2 to 3 hours ? This absolutely needs to change though it has not happened often to me probably 2 to 3 times when you plan a weekend aro
I've been doing this on and off for two year now. Give or take. Love most of the staff. Some aren't friendly at all and others totally rock. My suggestion to new people, be completely observant of who sticks good and who doesn't! You can ask for certain people or tell people you'd rather have someone else. I was deferred twice (both for 56 days) due to my machine not being set up correctly or not being stuck correctly and my blood never returned to me. Last week, the phlebotomist who had me deferred my firs
Cassie and Amanda are great. They are very patient and make you feel comfortable. They are the new sheriffs in town????????
Do not waste your time with this location. The team is highly incompetent and mess your arms up repeatedly only to ban you for it later.
With the new machines it's made everything so much quicker
BioLife is truly the only place to go. The machines are fast, the staff is professional and friendly. And they pay the most for donations. They are second to none.
Biolife needs to work on improving the process and the donors experience. The company needs to work on reducing the waiting time, to complete the process can't be 3 hours long. (Same time). the process usually is around almost 2 hours. They have some great workers there and some not so good. The pay and bonuses are fair.
Awsome people and very quick now due to new machines!!
I enjoy coming to this location because the staff is very welcoming and always has a smile on their face. Nurse Brittany did an excellent job with helping me recover from almost fainting due to me not drinking enough water. She explained how drinking water is very important before donating. She was very helpful and nice and I really appreciate the attention she gave me and helped me feel better.
Doris the nurse is excellent, sweet, best customer service, caring, does her job well. She gets ten stars. ?? ?? ??????????????????????Ellie great customer service, caring, awesome and great with the needle stick. Melissa is so awesome, caring, great customer service, and loving, I love her??????????
While attempting to check in one lsdy told another lady to check me in. After asking first for my name, then to spell my name, then if I was a first time donor, the lady said " she is gonna check you in I have no idea what I doing". I simply said ok, and waited for first lady to be available. When she was she told me to go to waiting and I told her I had not been checked in and repeated exactly what the other lady said. I was immediately accused of disparaging the staff to which I explained that I wa
Cass and the whole BioLife crew are always friendly and accommodating. I originally thought I had favorite employees, but I have discovered that they are all top notch!
The incentives & the facility are nice. My only complaint is the wait time to donate despite having an appointment. It's disrespectful to have donors personal time prolonged while staff seems to take their sweet time getting you processed in. No one has the time to spend their whole day or 4-5 hours on end for something that should & could have easily taken 2 hours if that. I think donating plasma is a great way to earn extra money and save lives but I would like my time respected just as much as they would
Came in with a appointment time, was told to wait in a tiny room with lots of other people with only 4 chairs. Was forced to sit on hard concrete floor for over a hour, while no one in the room was being called for. Didn't even double check to make sure I had proper paperwork before telling me to wait, I did have it tho. Left without being seen as my back was killing me from sitting on floor. Octopharma is 10x better.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
