I am deeply disappointed with my experiences at this plasma donation center. I donate plasma regularly to help others, and I expect to be treated with care and respect, but unfortunately, this has not been the case at this location. This was my sixth time donating here, and I have encountered more issues than at any other center. For reference, it only takes me ~30 minutes to donate. First Incident: During my second or third donation, I felt completely overlooked. I had been left on the bed for an extende
Mike was great! He was very informative and thorough, but also made me feel comfortable and seen as an individual. All the staff were very nice and spoke clearly about instructions (this being my first time) and the facility was clean and well organized. Overall, I had a great experience!
The young lady that check my in was very pleasant. She took the time to explain everything step of the process and the nurse as well. Their customer service and attentiveness is very rare in my donating experience. I felt like an individual not just another donor in the line. I will update the names my next opportunity.
My first visit with a physical was a pleasant and relatively fast experience! 2 hours for everything to get done, and the staff were extremely helpful and kind. Their machines were also state of the art. They worked very fast and efficient. I look forward to my second and future donations.
They closed three different sections of beds which has added an average of 1.5 hours to the whole process over the past 3 months. Posting this while I've been standing in line for 40 minutes while they have 12 empty beds.
I have been a BioLife donor since August 2024, and this is one of my two main donation centers. I have no complaints about my overall experience donating at this location. The site seems to be operated well although it can be busier than other locations I have visited at different times. The occasional wait hasn't been much of an issue though.
I love BioLife. I've been to another plasma donation center and was very upset with their customer service and the easy I was treated. Every time I go to BioLife I feel respected and appreciated. Thanks so much for being so amazing BioLife!! Special shout out to Victoria! She is so sweet and kind and caring every time in go in there. The only thing about this location is vitals. They should have more people doing vitals. Some times there is a super long line and there is only 2 people doing vitals
This place has horrible techs! My partner has been poked by both sharu and ifran and they were so painful it left them bruised and bleeding at the needle site. We are here to help those in need and it's upsetting how unprofessional these 2 workers are!
This is my second time coming here, and I have to say, despite the negative reviews, they aren't far from the truth. The lines are long because it's a busy place, but the staff is super kind and respectful. I have been donating for a while, so the black dot is from the arm I constantly use. Other than that, there is no pain or bruising. If you live close to here, I would recommend donating here. This is how my arm looked after a week. Other than that is really smooth process!
Bioplasma auto enrolls u in promo (lower amounts) and send out promo for higher amounts but can't take advantage of them. When asking about promo at checking in they say that it will be addressed after the donation. Then a manager tries to persuade you to postpone the promotion, by adding it on the next visit. After my 1st visit (in which samples were obtained). I scheduled my 2nd visit online only to be denied upon entering....was told I needed to provide another sample. So I left...confused. 3rd tim
I've been coming here for a while. Usually the experience is fine but last week Mikayla had trouble finding my vein and gave me a hemotoma. This past Friday I was able to donate but was told I need to use my other arm because of the hemotoma. Today (4/6/2025) I went in to donate again. Of course I get put into Mikaylas section again and she has trouble finding my vein again. She can't figure it out so she says they can just disconnect me and I'll still get paid. It just happened so I don't know if this is t
Horrible! The Pink section first gave me a dirty table with crumbs every where. They made me wait 15 to 20 minutes before the young lady came to jab the needle thru the vein and into the muscle causing horrible pain. The person overseeing her just walked by taking his time to come over as I am in pain. He just offered yo move to other arm. He never tried to adjust in middle of pain. I am a long time blood and plasma donor. Worst experience ever...
Mike made my experience at BioLife extremely memorable, as wel as my wonderful phlebotomist, and I will never go to another location now! The customer service was completely unmatched and they made me feel like family and not a medical specimen, lol! Thank you to the entire team, will be back STAT!
I donated today at 3pm and its currently 8pm and i still have yet to receive my payment. Keep getting told they're having IT problems. This is ridiculous and the worker MIKAYLA does a very poor job and will walk right past you
I've been donating plasma at BioLife for several years, and overall, it's a serious and well-run company. The staff at this location has improved a lot over time?they've become increasingly professional and friendly. I'm satisfied with the service and appreciate the care they provide during each visit.
As a 1st time donor, I was extremely impressed with how pleasant, welcoming, and informative Taylor was with explaining the donation process to me. This is what I look for when donating. This young man made me feel appreciated. Thank you, Taylor. You are a true LEADER!
Thank you to Juan, Taylor, Simone, Bhavika, and Austin for providing a seamless experience. Process was easy and plenty of access to information about the process. Make sure to sign up for the rewards program to earn on top of the financial benefit. Also a big shout out to the dedicated staff taking care of us. Thank you again!
Rasheed was awesome and very helpful. This center is ran way more efficiently than the 1 in mesquite.
As hard as a time I had to get everything they needed, should have been a sign this was not the place to go. Mike the chip on the shoulder guy got offended by my reply when he asked me something and then has me barred w/out telling me a thing. Truly childish character. Go at ur own risk of nerves/patience.
After waiting at the table for an extended period without anyone acknowledging me or offering assistance?nor helping other customers who were also waiting?I decided to leave. The staff member working in the area was engaged in a lengthy conversation with another customer, who was using excessive profanity that was highly inappropriate. Over the past few months, this place has consistently provided prompt and friendly service. However, the customer service has noticeably declined in the past couple of weeks.
Mikayla is awesome, she never misses and you don't feel it, I think she needs to be in leadership position
Mike, the nurse was amazing!!! He's the nurse who did my physical and was so professional and did everything so quickly! He made this experience less scary for sure! He was attentive and was funny!! 10/10 Jon, who took my donation and also really funny. He made me feel super comfortable and I didn't even feel a thing! This location can get really busy after 4pm! So make sure to make your appt earlier! Overall the staff was amazing ??
"I'm one of the highest level managers and you are not getting a different response from someone else. I can schedule you for Tuesday since it's been a month since you came".... Um No ma'am don't be a tyrant and don't talk to Donors like that!!! I had to literally walk out before I was disrespectful to someone focused more on her title and authority than Donations or respecting what was prior stated by employee just because couldn't remember his name and he was not present nore the employee who originally m
Rashid at the belt line rd in Dallas, Texas is awesome. Always friendly and greets everyone.
The place itself was okay. But, while I was sitting in the waiting room I observed a man who was trying to have an employee pull up his profile. They pulled a different man with the same name, except the person they pulled up had a middle name and the guy in office did not. They read off part of the profile guy's address, out loud, ALL while the man here was standing beside them LOOKING at the screen with them. I'm pretty sure HIPAA still applies, even at a donation center. So, that was pretty concerning. M
I had a good visit but I feel like the people who work there are very slow. They tend to talk to each other a lot and dont use their time efficiently. There is no rush to get you out of there once your donation is complete. I sat there for 15 mins waiting while my person talked to another employee.
I have been donating at the BioLife Plasma Center in Richardson, Texas, for several months, and I couldn't be more impressed with the level of care and professionalism. From the moment I walk in, the staff greets me warmly and ensures that I feel comfortable throughout the entire donation process. The facility is always clean and well-maintained, and the team follows all necessary safety protocols, which provides a great sense of security. The process is smooth and efficient, minimizing wait times while st
DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! First experience: waited three hours before even being seated. After being seated, got Hematomas because no one knew what they were doing. CONSIDER THIS A WARNING. Biggest waste of my time.
Have been coming to this location for over a month and it has been a good experience every time. Staff is always friendly and they move fast
05/27/2025. Still haven't gotten my payment it's been almost 6 hours!! This is exactly why donors need to be paid more This is bs!
If you have tattoos covering just one of the inside of your elbows you will be denied. They will also waste your time and wait till the last minute to tell you that you can't donate.
Beware of the Bonus scam! They say you can make 750 donating for them if you donate within the first 30 days However, what they do is to call you after your first couple of donations and say that you're dehydrated or say they ?detected? inflammation issues and that you have to wait a week to give a blood sample and then another week to wait for results If you ask if the bonus still applies they say ?unfortunately? not. It's a SCAM!!!!!
I was disappointed on the time I had to wait. My appointment was at 3:10. I got there at 3:00 and left 7:05 pm. I was good to get my physical at 4:15 pm. I didn't get to see the nurse till 5:45. Needle in my arm at 6:12. I left at 7:05. I had planned on 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours. The first stick missed vein. Second stick good. I was treated well by all employees. I recommend donating. They are opening new locations to reach more people.
After today i am NEVER going back to biolife. I have over 80+ donations and have been doing it for 2 years now. I had a apppintment at 11:30 i wasnt seen until 12. From then out nothing went right the staff didnt know where to send me, info in the system mysteriously disappearing, the lady taking my vitals yanked my arm forward instead of asking me politely to move forward for her. When i finally got to the donation process after 2 hours being here and just sitting and waiting they put someone training to t
Very great experience, very quick and organized. The best plasma donations experience I've had out of all centers I've been to in last 8 years of donating.
Staff here are great! I have been donating at this location exclusively for over a year and have yet to have a negative interaction with an employee. And I typically get in and out very fast, even when there is a long line. The longest I have waited in line was about 2 chapters long in a book ( I know that is a weird measurement, but I want to say it was about 30-50 pages ).
This is the most professional plasma company I've seen. They make sure you've eaten and offer snacks. The nurse and front end supervisor do their jobs with a smile. The young lady that inserted the needle needs training. I was in pain the whole donation. A guy offered to adjust it, but I didn't dare have anything moved. Fortunately there isn't a bruise. The fact that the doctor is unreliable is a bit sad. He is needed to expedite medical approvals.
I've donated plasma for over 15 years and was blown away the Rashid could do a finger prick with nearly zero pain. Definitely takes pride in what he does. 11 out of 10
They said I had to go to the Lewisville location to get my situation fixed because they said this location is where I had been before, but I had never been at the Lewisville location. The 2 black ladies who told me to go to Lewisville were lying & unprofessional.
We have been long time donors especially faithful every two weeks going to belt line location. We have sadly seen this location decline in staff, customer service and effectiveness through the company. Sadly earlier this year most of the staff have quit due to long unsafe hours, cattle like lines, and unsupported upper management. The new hires when they're not giving a hemotoma every other donor, or blabbering with personal vendettas about each other, and leaving donors waiting and unattended for 30 mins a
Only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the donation process itself seems faster than most. The technicians who are in the back are incredibly nice Now the ones up front? They can be rude as hell to you. Appointment? What appointment you'll end up waiting 45 minutes to an hour and a half past said appointment time just before you sit down to donate. It's a joke and a massive waste of time. Really sucks because the appointment time could become useful if they actually honored it instead of just making it
I have no idea what the last review is saying but I don't get that at all and it's funny how two different people can have all together different experiences I literally have never had an issue here and when I come here I'm always out of here in a short amount of time I literally live closer to another center but I definitely choose to come here !
The First session Is really long? They also take a while to get to you when your donation is complete.. but other than that, the staff is pretty good at their jobs, they stick well, they are friendly, competent, and respectful. However, I wish they would provide more information up front about the process.
Its mediocre. Real slow and inconvenient as far as the way they make u do appointments and then take forever to do a donation.
First time donating plasma - plan to do 1-2 times a week for some extra pay. The first time donor process took a little longer than returning customers, but it was to be expected. Employees were thorough and efficient. Looking forward to going back.
Been to a couple plasma centers and I can say this is the best one I've gone to so far from the customer service to the physical also thanks to rashid for making the process easier ??
The staff are always friendly and informative and they get you in and out in a decent time frame
Very disappointed when it comes to first come first serve. Seems like they got it mixed up.
Very slow They need to do a better job with taking people off who are finished donating?i literally sit with a needle inside my arm for prolonged amounts of time
I was greeted right away and the wait time was next to nothing. I got connected and disconnected pretty quickly and over all it was a quick and great visit
This is for the Lewisville location: I arranged a 1:40 appointment to give plasma here, I arrived at 1:25. No one was at the front as I walked in, I looked around and there was a line of people on the other side of the room so I got in that line, I waited 25 minutes in this line and when it became my turn, I got to the counter and told the attendant in a lab coat that it was my first time, she walked me back over to where I came in, and told me to check in with the person helping someone else check in, I wa
"BioLife Plasma in Richardson is an excellent donation center. The staff is incredibly friendly and always takes the time to make sure you're comfortable and well taken care of. The facility is modern, clean, and they are extremely efficient at getting you in and out without long wait times. I really appreciate how smoothly everything runs and how they always emphasize safety. Donating here feels rewarding, both financially and in knowing you're helping others. Highly recommend!"
After visiting another BioLife location and not feeling the safety (because of cleanliness and staff) the Belt was a breath of fresh air. Staff here are nice and communicate well. They are also clean which I appreciate. I 10/10 recommend this location
"I've had a great experience at BioLife Plasma in Richardson. The staff is professional, friendly, and efficient, making the donation process smooth and stress-free. The facility is clean and well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere. They are always clear about the process and keep safety a top priority. Plus, the compensation for donations is fair and consistent. Highly recommend if you're looking to donate plasma in the area!"
This is my third donation and it went a lot smoother than previous ones. It's still a lengthy process due to the number of people that are donating. It is a very worthy cause in a highly recommended to everyone because our country needs plasma for many many things. The staff is always very kind and courteous.
The real winners are the very people that receive plasma , For such a small sacrifice - I believe more people should donate , This is gratifying for All
I would like to thank Rashid Barnes@Biolife BeltLine Rd. for being so good at his job! He has such a positive attitude and his willingness to go the extra mile for clients the very much appreciated! He has my vote for tech of the year! Thank you, Rashid!
I like the schedule aspect for your donations where you have to set a time frame each day you donate. It doesn't seem like it's loaded up or super busy with this method. The Downside is if you miss the window, you have to come back when they have an opening. As a new donor, I'm making $750. Make sure you have all the required information before scheduling as a new donor. I recommend going in the morning to get through the process faster. (Roughly 3-4 hours with donation) From what I hear, the continued pa
This was my first visit to donate and in my experience the staff was friendly and helpful. They were busy with a long line but they worked diligently to keep things moving right along. I'll be back, in my Schwarzenegger voice.
"BioLife Plasma in Richardson is a fantastic place for plasma donation. The team is knowledgeable, courteous, and always ensures that donors are comfortable throughout the entire process. The center is clean and organized, and they do a great job of explaining every step. They prioritize safety, which makes the whole experience feel secure. Plus, the compensation is a great bonus for a process that helps save lives. I highly recommend BioLife for anyone considering plasma donation!"
Compared to other donation places this place is super slow. They seem to be understaffed to where they can only use half the beds available. The people working here also don't seem to have any sense of urgency. You don't actually start donating until about an hour and a half after you're supposed ?appointment time? so plan to be at this center for 2-3 hrs every donation. Most other places I'd be out in 90mins. Other than it being super slow and long wait times, the only other thing I worry about is the pers
Subpar service. The black female phlebotamists are really nice and helpful. Everyone else is either too chatty or slow to do their job which makes the ?hour? take 25-30 minutes longer. Poorly staffed which contributed to this. The claimed they ?lost? my test samples and i had to give samples again & they wasted my time several time with bogus blood pressure readings. I did my blood pressure at Walmart and it was 127/83, so who are they trying to fool. I'll keep my blood and plasma instead of getting pennie
Understaffed for the amount of appointments they schedule. I went yesterday morning and two donors right next to me had to end their donations early due to machines malfunctioning. It took two hours for me to complete my donation when it normally takes no more than 30-40 minutes. My machine kept malfunctioning as well. I know it's their machines because it's not a coincidence that 3 donors seated right next to each other all had issues. My left arm is now swollen and tender/bruised badly because of the mach
Final Update: ALL AROUND HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Finally was able to donate plasma , when it was time to remove the needle : the person didnt speak to me ask me if I was ok , just wrapped my armed up and said I was good to go. Update: I still havent been seen by a doctor for evaluation ? if this is your first time ? be prepared to stay for more then 2 hours ? they will take a lunch break and leave you waiting . No consideration for other people. Do NOT come to this BIOLIFE! Update: they finally called me :
Checking in to the computer system is the only process that's shorter. The company doesn't have a lot of employees to take care of everyone standing in line for body, and blood check up. A takes employees a lot more time for a bed to be found for everyone in line. The wait time for an employee to attend to you after finding you a bed is just another ridiculous thing. With all these flaws it doesn't make the place a bad place to go for treatment?it all comes down to your perspective of how patient you're, an
Smooth, painless process. Friendly and supportive staff the whole way through.
I had a great experience here, the place is very clean. Ann Marie took such good care of me and it was so patient, carful and kind. She made sure to answer all my questions and made me feel ver comfortable.
15 minutes late they cancel your appointment even if your stick in traffic. Ridiculous
Nurse Mike is literally a breath of fresh air and I will definitely be returning. He's extremely knowledgeable and makes the entire process seem effortless. I highly recommend this location. He and the entire staff made sure that I had the best experience possible.
Inexperienced phlebotomist don't know how to draw blood. I've donated before and was told my vein is too small for the needle?.
The pay could be a lot better. My last visit was a mess literally. First they told me to go to a chair that had fresh blood on it and then it was blood all over the floor. After cleaning the chair and floor up I noticed the trash can behind my chair was a bloody mess. I've never seen this facility in such a disgusting manner.
This place is efficient and the staff are nice. They're busy. They're all very kind though when you talk to them. Going through the reviews I noticed that almost all of the bad reviews are from people who didn't do the research and have no idea how to either schedule appointments, how the promotions work, or how things work here in general. I never have problems making appointments. You need to make your appointments like a week out if you want to get a good time, if you had to wait long you either are firs
The wait in line to get vitals took longer than it should have, but is slightly improved from the last few times I've been there. The technicians running the plasma machines were familiar faces who really knew what they were doing. I hadn't been donating for a few months because there were so many new employees back then that had no experience and caused delays and a hematoma.
Today (August 28, 2024) was the smoothest and most efficient day of all my visits. Arrived for my 6am appointment and completed the check in process (which was fine). As soon as I completed the questionnaire the young lady was ready to check my vitals (sweet)! I'm literally in the chair at 6:08am and guess what; the young lady has the machine ready and she immediately gets started. It's only 6:12 and my bloods flowing.... today's gonna be a good day. Thanks to the team for getting in and getting things set
I find it annoying that my iron is claimed to be too low, and that I'm told to eat a good meal the next time I come in. It's always by the same lady too (at this location), Hispanic, maybe 5?4, dark hair and dark eyes. Can't remember her name, but twice now she's told me to leave because my iron is too low, when there's no way it should be. Especially when I've eaten a large meal full of protein just before, and I have no medical issues with my iron. Any other employee there has never said my iron is too lo
Super easy to work with. It's a great way to donate if you don't respond to giving whole blood well.
My first time donating plasma I visited this location. The process was easy and well explained. My tech Ruben was very informative and attendant during the process. The only downside was having to wait a bit before doing the screening, but that's just cause they were busy. I will definitely return here!
I don't what's happening at thos place but it is nothing how it use to be. The new people they have bringing the place down. They talk, flirt and complain. I sat finished on the bed for 27 minutes while the super tall guy showed people blood samples. I gave this place a 5 star at one time sadly enough
Despite being as busy as it was, the facility was very well run, organized and professional. The staff was friendly, efficient and clinic was clean and well maintained. They did appear to be short staffed, but did extremely well considering the donor to staff ratio.
This place is amazing. I'm a returning donor. This location is very clean & fast. Robin, Victor, Precious, Makayla, Lashawn, Rashid, & Jesus are all amazing & outstanding workers. They should be recognized & rewarded for their dedication & determination towards on how they take care of the donors. Keep up the fantastic, superb, & amazing job BioLife.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
