I went through a hour and 30 process/wait and passed everything. Finally I get to the donor floor and was told she needs to check for veins in both arms or I can't donate. She checked both veins and 1 didn't have a vein, so I couldn't and can't donate because of that. I feel that should be the first part of the process to save people time. I shouldn't have had to go through the physical, reading and 40 something questions to answer on the computer just get denied for something they should've done when I f

The team at BioLife Plasma Services @ the Detroit Conant location was outstanding! As a first-time plasma donor, I was thoroughly impressed by how welcoming, informative, and attentive they were. They made the entire experience smooth and positive?you can truly tell they care about both the work they do and the well-being of every donor.

Appointments here are a joke, expect to wait hours to donate. This place completely killed me on the idea of donating plasma. You set up an appointment online to get a physical and donate, but when you get there, none of this seems to matter. They had me sit in a waiting room for over an hour until I went to hunt someone down and ask what was going on. An hour after this, I finally see the nurse who tells me I would be fine to donate, but because I have Sleep Apnea, I need a note from my doctor. Fine,

Understaffed and unprofessional. Went for a physical and a donation. Appointment was at 2:10. I didn't start donating until after 6pm. On my very first return my arm swells up from Hematoma. They try to return my blood, in my other arm that I never use, and somehow can't unclip the scissors to return my blood. So now I'm deferred for six weeks missing out on all of my extra bonuses. Plus I can't donate anywhere else. I recommend this being your last option. The one in Livonia and the one in Warren are way m

If it isn't one thing it's another with the center on the east side of Detroit. I had my vitals checked one day and my heart rate was over by a few points. I was asked to sit in the rest area. I sat there remaining still for about 20 minutes until they checked my vitals again. My heart rate went from 103 to almost 120. ?? How that is possible when sitting still for 20 minutes is beyond me. That's just one of many issues that I've had with the place over the past few months. The restrooms are always filthy.

S.Jones was the best!!!! Great customer service very humble and nice she helped me and made me feel comfortable my stay there highly recommend this place and if it's any problems they address the situation problem solved!!! I've been donating for years and also a certified medical assistant ask for her when you go there the poke didn't hurt she got it first try and it went by fast on the machines like I always do because I know my body and I know my veins she knows her veins and work very well!!!!

I'm a return donor. And my experiences have not been bad. Ms. S. Jones at the bio life in Detroit is great! Very professional and really took the time to make sure my experience was a good one. And I thank her.

It's a good place and they have more staff now so don't let people who couldn't donate stop you from at least trying the place for yourself. This is the best one I been to. CSL takes to long and octapharma was rude so yeah I like it hear.

Nice employees and clean facilities but equipment needs to be updated because I had my blood pressure and oxygen levels taken it was 1 point over then she waited 5 minutes and it was 1 point lower it truly doesn't make since that I just waisted gas driving all the way here for faulty equipment issues and the nurse wouldn't check the results even though they know it's something wrong with the machine ??????????after waiting an hour for her to say I'm sorry ??

I am giving S. Jones 5 stars., She went Very professional, above and beyond to help me. Also, she was very kind and caring. I felt she gave me personalized attention.

I went January 21 2025 1 person on the floor and 1 person ar the machines. I was there 2 hours still waiting for my protein to be check with 8 people in front of me for the protein check. And 15 waiting on the machine and every 1 that was waiting in that 2 hr span was still there. So 23 people total... and u set appointments and it's not working.

Nice facility and great ppl but Severely understaffed, takes over an hour for a line of like 7 people just to get their vitals taken. new return promotions are pretty low, and with 3-4 hour waits it's basically just a huge waste of time. You'd be better off going anywhere else.

How doesn't this establishment have a working phone number?!?!?!?! I had a complaint on Monday, line is just busy. I had to call Livonia. Now, there is a new number and after the first ring, it hangs up. What is going on over there??????

This was the worst experience I ever had the manager was the only person in the whole establishment with sense. Everyone else is very busy doing absolutely nothing! We gotta do better I never been so upset with helping people??

I really love this place the staff there is amazing people honestly they all are very friendly and they know how to do they job I truly recommend this place to anyone.

Horrible experience. Spent 3 hrs with physical and wait time to finally get in the chair just for this unprofessional tech to tell me she can't do it because my vein is not visible enough. That was it. No asking another tech to analyze my vein, no empathy, no apology. 3 hours of wasted time.

They need more phlebotomists and benches or chairs because the wait times are too long currently. I have a bad back due to a car accident and there was nowhere designated to sit for older or handicapped persons. That combined with the wait time and low payout without a promo code makes it difficult some times to even want to deal with the extra stress. If you get a promo, use it and maybe move on as they don't offer promotions often and $40/$65 is extremely low balling people for what they have to deal with

Someone here didn't do their job and send my blood to the lab.... I hope whoever is responsible faces financial hardships until I'm able to donate again.

My first experience wasn't so good. However, things have been smoove here since my first donation. My review has changed due to the recent visits. Yes we set aside time to come here. However, we don't set aside the extremely long wait times being 5 to 7 hours during a donation process. Then will act belligerent when you mention something to the staff. I might end my visits at this location permanently. Especially when risking your health to donate and get paid crumbs. I see why others have complained.

I am really pleased with BioLife and their staff everyone was so friendly. nurse Al was very polite and conducted his job with kindness and was very caring about my needs . He is a wonderful employee. He took his time to go over all the paperwork and the physical properly. He made sure I understood everything I needed to understand. Highly recommend BioLife..the employees that took my vitals and my intake info were very polite as well . The staff that hooked me up to the machine and took me off did a very

This location has rude employees, if you look closely the cleaning is not great; dust on electronics, blood on bottom of machines, the restrooms at times are dirty. Also, they don't unhook you right away, instead they take care of the machine tubing first.

This place is so unprofessional and very slow !! This place should be closed down !! The place is so bad !! No it's no one in charge that try to get it order!

My worst Experience ever with Biolife Plasma 01/02/2025. The managers Shernay and Crystal were both rude to donors after spending two hours in line they informed donors that we would not be seen and they needed to leave. Shernays words exactly were I don't have to take this shit send everyone in the line home and it sucks because you can't go to another center after your vitals have been tested

They have been so short staffed. It's unbelievable. To get there 30 mins before your scheduled time and be turned away because they are short staffed is ridiculous. Then my first time back in 4 months, I was in there for almost 4 hours. Something has to be done because we shouldn't be affected by them being short. At least be courteous and call before we waste time and gas coming there just to be turned around. Use to be one of my favorite places but it's definitely gone downhill. I don't see it getting bet

First visit was long, but understandable. The second visit was absolutely ridiculous. Lab Tech floating around complaining how she didn't get lunch, doesn't want to see another face after 4pm, and then promptly leaves at 4pm, abandoning 8 appointments. We were told by a manager to ?please come back tomorrow, we'll definitely get you in. Please don't leave any bad reviews. I'm short staffed. I'm trying. I promise tomorrow will be better? Fast forward to the next day: Security stationed at the door, locked

It doesn't pay enough for me to make it worth my time and energy. Understaffed and you will wait for too long. The staff is cool though.

On The day I donated it was one person taking vitals one and one person doingThe. sticking took over an hour just to get in the chair as I am finishing my donation. It was at least 30 people waiting to donate with the same staff one person in the back one person in the front with people being very upset with us security guard just sitting in a chair, not helping to defuse the argument that was happening amongst all women when there was a bunch of men there very unprofessional and under staff

Nurse Jae was nice and very professional! The lab staff lacks professionalism! Very unorganized! I was a new donor I was placed in the chair with a blood pressure cuff on my arm for over 20 mins with no activity. No communication. No I'll be right back. Jus no instructions. I asked another lack tech did I get forgotten over here. Her response was Girl aint nobody forget about you. So I politely left the building. Very Rude! I won't be returning! I will not be recommending to anyone! If i could have given a

I'm don't know where to begin, unprofessional, rude and short coming. I'll give an example of my displeasure take today for instance my appointment was @ 4:00 I got to the door @ 4:00 ?? security guard said can't let me in when just last week I observed a young lady in my same predicament when the shirt bald funny manager dude said let her in she has a 10 minute grace period so they security proceed to let her in but when it was my circumstance I was turned away with no real explanation.there's never anyone

The staff were very professional and quick. They were also very pleasant and easy to talk to.

Don't ever go here smh you will be waiting for 3 hours at least to donate. No one likes their job here and there are always fights and conflicts. Just go somewhere else

Great place. Clean and organized. Torian went above and beyond with his help!!??????

They're very slow and unprofessional not enough staff poor scheduling my appointment was at 1:40 and it's 5:17 and I'm still here I'm finished donating but still seating here with needle in my arm

Super slow, inattentive staff, no more than 4 chairs in waiting area and I'm disabled so I had nowhere to sit besides the floor, only 5 people were in waiting area and still staff was slow and laughing about it. Super unprofessional and staff needs to be fired because they are clearly there to get money and not do their jobs

Definitely would not recommend people to come to the one on Conant. The only thing good about this place is the payout. Always short of staff, and only one of them are friendly. The wait time is crazy for them to have supposedly faster machines.

If you are new to going don't. You are better off going to a different location. They don't run the way it's supposed to be ran especially knowing what your busiest hours are and still don't say shit to the people waiting is beyond me.

I've tried to donate here a few times, and twice have i had to deal with rude, disrespectful people. They don't work like a team they make people wait so they can talk and waste time this place was pathetic, and when you say anything to them, they get disrespectful. To have to wait 40+ minutes for someone to return from a break to be taken down is insane. Let alone while their coworkers sitting running their mouth. Never again. They need a real supervisor and to fire all of them except for a small hand full

I usually donate in livonia but livonia didn't have any openings so I scheduled at Detroit location never again my appointment was 11.55 am I didn't get out until 3 they kept saying they were short staff however it doesn't end there my money wasn't even loaded to my card and still Is not and its 647 pm. I even told then before I left there also was almost a fight between donor and employees this location is horrible I wouldn't recommend to my enemies and it will be my past time donating at this biolife Loca

Praise Allah you need to have more workers to check people in besides two it'll be 20 people in line and all you have is two people to check everyone in that takes a lot of time and we should get more money because plasma can be considered as liquid gold the people on BioLife get anywhere from 2000 to $3,000 per bottle donated by each individual we should be able to get more money other than 40 and $70 how about 50 and 90 or 100 100 how about that an appointment don't really do any good because if you have

They turn you around if you don't have two good vains they don't notify anyone and let them know I was there for 4 hours as a new donor and got turned around cause I didn't have at least two good vains??I didn't know and nobody there told me and my boyfriend anything I feel like I should have gotten paid my $100 for being there for 4 hours and a waste of time to get turned around I Have My Donor Card They Gave Me But No Pay I Would Never Recommend This Place To Anyone

S. Johnson Is A Wonderful Worker And Person! She Was A Sweetheart, Got The Job Done, Professional And Kept A Smile On My Face The Whole Time I Was There. I Will Be Returning !! ???????????? Amazing Energy From Her ??

BioLife is a cool place to donate most of the people there are friendly and helpful. One of the problems I do have is that they have this one person Miss Q by herself a few times that I have came to donate in the past few weeks. She is screaming and doing so much other stuff all while on a cane. Been there some short dude that comes in ordering people around like a drill sergeant but miss Q always has it under control.

First of all I do it for the benefit of those who's going to receive my Plasma in the future. Secondly from the time I walk in and see faces that illuminate like Christmas lights just the sight of me. Like I'm an angel. Y'all make me feel so wanted I could just don't make me tear up making a post. Look y'all make me happy cut it out I'll be back in a couple days I can't resist it. Just to know that I can help save another life in more than one way.

At first, I thought the warren location was much better. I Switched over to the Detroit location a few months ago. Despite service being slow at times, none of the staff there act unprofessionally. They all engage in conversation and keep a great environment. I also note that the plasma workers there consistently keep that place clean. They are very good at multi tasking. I do not agree that this place is a bad place. Every business has its flaws, right? Keep Up the good work??

The place and employees are good. It's your policy and pay. That's the problem. I understand that, you can only donate 2 times a week. If that's the case, an my days are Friday and Sunday, I should be able to donate, Tuesday through Friday. If the new week starts Monday. Especially, with you all being close on Monday. Change this policy and and pay. This is in Michigan.

The whole facility is ran by children, the nurse are trash ,don't waste your time if you first time donor! Go to CSL OR another plasma donation place, they do not follow appointment times, people just running around not knowing what's going on. Horrible customer service

Great service! Friendly staff! S. John's service was top tier! Such a sweet women with a heart of gold! She kept checking on me and making sure I was ok! The other ladies as well are just as sweet! You'll leave here feeling better then when you come in! ?? It was my 1st time and they all made the process a easy, friendly experience. Definitely recommend!

Don't go there. Desmond the manager is rude and short tempered. If you have an issue and have questions. He'll answer your questions with more questions. He thinks it's something wrong with people who look into issues when things go wrong. I'll never return it's just not worth the unprofessionalism, issues with equipment or health issues due to over donation due to the weight not being equivalent to the amount of ml you donate. I just donated 834ml at 151lbs due to me having 2 pairs of pants on and heavy sh

Ridiculously inefficient. It took 45 min just for me to get through the vitals station on the slowest day I've seen (3 people ahead of me). They had 1 person at the vitals station who also was constantly being interrupted with questions or doing front desk check-ins. There were multiple instances where there was an issue and multiple staff members did not know how to proceed (e.g. check-in issues). They have staff doing 2-3 jobs, some of which they don't seem to understand the procedure. This is unacceptabl

I been here three hours it nevee takes me this long. They are by far the most unprofessional and the slowest ever I sat in the hair over an hour before anyone did anything. This is one of the worst experiences ever. You want great customer service go to the livonia office. This office need to hire y who wants to work I put in plenty apps so who really is the problem. This is aweful and awful is a understatement

Desmond is an amazjng center manager he was running back and forth running circles around everyone to make sure he could get everyone taken care of while being understaffed. He deserves a raise for the customer service!!! 10/10 -Ariel M

This place is a joke I was a new donor had me sitting for 4 hours to even get in the back

The phlebotomist stuck my arm wrong multiple times I didn't even donate because of blood clot. I did receive pay but ever since I left my arm has been bruised and sore. I went to hospital everything is fine they said the person sticking just did a horrible job. I won't be returning back ever again

I have not ever waited this long for me to get my money to my card. I left the building around 3:00 in the evening Thursday and I have not got paid yet. They told me it was a problem with their system. Only thing this will make a person do not want to donate when they can't get paid a lot of times people come in and do it cuz they need the gas money or and they need to pay a bill you put that person in a predicament when they can't do them things that they need to do the way I call it is bad business.

The employees are awesome but the wait to get the process done or even get to a seat is completely outrageous appt at 10:30 and its 1:31 and I'm still waiting in line to be seated smh ??????? do better seriously ??

Crystal is the best. I was having suck a hard day she really made my day I felt no pain she is the best. I love crystal. I never want anybody else but crystal. ????

Ms. S. Jones was so amazing ! Coming back from a few years she was so welcoming and relaxing and fixed my account for me to be able to donate again with no issues and came back for a donation was so tense and had to sit for a vital retake talked me down and got me calm for me to be able to donate ! This center is amazing and efficient will always come here

So I was recently temporarily deferred from the Detroit location, on December 19, 2023 pending SPE testing. To make a long story short, allegedly my protein (GAMMA) levels came back abnormal 4 times. I found this to be odd. The fourth time I took the blood draw April 2024, I received a call from the nurse at this location stating that I was deferred for 12 months because my PROTEIN LEVELS WERE STILL HIGH. I found it odd. So tell me why I recently went in to get a complete protein blood test from my primary

Very short staff staff leave when there is a lobby full of people. But the worst part about it is I only been going here for a month and I know it's short staff but these dumb ppl will still pile up everywhere I go I can't wait to go back to a state where ppl have common sense to go somewhere else I know they know where the other locations are at. Ppl of Detroit is broke and sad

Bioplasma is a good place to go and donate. Staff is professional and friendly and they are patient with patients before, during and after the donation process. All in all Bioplasma get two thumbs up from me! Just on this I must say needs work on to make Bioplasma truly Top Shelf, the app needs work to get clients processed. Some times you can't get through for certain things to be done. I've often been kicked out of the system and can't log back in.

Bio life has a clean facility, cool and confident employees that provides fast service considering the the large group of donors that they service big shout out to nurse Q she really works hard and should be acknowledged for her great service.

This place sucks... Never answer the phone... not once ever...ever...ever... they are not too busy... they are too unprofessional... I've spoken to dozens of people who say the same thing... sucks...sucks...sucks...sucks...

Ms. Jones is the light of this place, honestly. She's very helpful and makes you very comfortable during your experience. Good clean environment

This center is very neat and clean. The staff is very efficient and caring. I have no problems to report at this time. Overall I give this center a 10 ?? Amber,Dee,Donavan,Rueben,Antione work very well together. I watched them in the back they were helping each other out with pleasant attitudes. ??

PEOPLE IN THE WORLD PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW AND FOLLOW BY IT THIS IS 1 OF THE WORST PLASMA DONATING PLACES IN THE WORLD AND I WILL NOT EVER AGAIN COME BACK TO THIS DISHONEST AND DISORGANIZED PLACE EVERY AGAIN BECAUSE THEY LOVE PICKING WITH THE WRONG PERSON AND ALWAYS TAKING SIDES AND NOT EVER BEING FAIR

They take a minute to start you up on a machine I've been sitting here 5 minutes and still waiting everything else is fine

Probably one of the worst donating centers I've gone to. There is no point to their scheduling system because you'll regularly spend 2+ hours here just waiting in line. Only doing 2 stars because the staff for the most part is nice.

What is the appointment for? Standing in line for two hours after my scheduled time is ridiculous. You hear the workers on the floor complaining that other workers don't want to take people to their section so they will work slow so they don't have to take that many. And we stuck in line looking at them. I'm a patient person but they make me lose my patience.

From the time, I walk & they was not rude, they all served me with respect.. I will be back!!! Keep up the GOOD work Staff?s

1st disappointment is no phone service for new donor's or returning 1's. 2nd disappointment is lack of adequate staffing needed to help reduce the wait time for returning donors which typically takes approximately 2hrs each visit. 3rd disappointment and my biggest is their tricky promotional $800 coupon for new donors in big bold print. The very small print tells you that you only have 30 days to make a minimum of 8 donations to receive the entire $800, which is the cloudy part because the center is only 20

The reason I did a 1 star is cause this was my very first time donating at this center cause I was out of town. I stand in a very long line.. waiting and waiting just to be in the same spot an hour later. Place was loud with other ppl talking on speaker phone, listening to music, and eating all while standing in line. My appointment was at 12:05pm and i was still in line by 1:40pm while there was so much more ppl in front of me.. so I left. Awful!

Prevented from donating plasma due the nurse disliking a comment I made about the facility set up. As I have never donated plasma before, the facility set up was not how I envisioned it. I presumed there would be some sort of separation, similar to blood donation centers. I was also advised you must be accompanied anywhere after your vitals to ensure you are not drinking, smoking, doing drugs. This all seemed very strange and sketchy to me. Which I stated. After the nurse stated I have a medical condition t

Awesome from start to finish. The facility, faculty and process is so much more comfortable and accommodating than CSI plasma centers. I will definitely make this location my home location!

I love the positivity and the energy of the employees. And the women up front beautiful ladies especially the one the all that hair and it be in a ponytail lol

Staff was very professional. My technician, who administered the extraction, was kind and thoughtful, which put me at ease... thank you.

This was my first time coming here. I was suprise that they open early at 7am. The employees where wonderful. And shanta I belive that was her name. She was so wonderful and made it less painful. I'll Definitely come again. ????

They have HORRIBLE SERVICES! THE MAJORITY OF THE TECHS DON'T KNOW HOW TO INSERT THE NEEDLE IN YOUR VEIN CORRECTLY CAUSING ME TO LOOSE BLOOD ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS!! I HAVE BEEN DEFERRED 3 TIMES SINCE THE CENTER OPENED! NOBODY IS EVER ON THE SAME PAGE! THE TELEPHONE NUMBER DOESN'T WORK FOR THIS LOCATION! I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH NOT BEING ABLE TO SCHEDULE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT WHEN I WENT IN BUT, DIDN'T GET TO DONATE FOR WHATEVER REASON. IT STILL HAS ON THE APP THAT I DONATED WHEN I DIDN'T! THEY SEEM TO THINK BECAU

The young people here so nice and knowledgeable I had to wait two hours with my appointment and the computer went down they were so patient and understanding with everyone wanting to be seen. I'm bringing a few people back next week. Thank you bio life for compensation and caring for your donors

Terrible experience as a new donor. Appointment was at 10:15, I didn't leave there until 4:30. Long lines, hardly any staff, and just plain slow. If you're looking for quick, I suggest Grifols or Octapharma. Here, just now it'll be hours inbetween screening, questionnaire, and physical. Returning donor process seem like it was quicker to be honest.

My experience was very helpful from beginning till end. My tech was gentle when holing me up to the machine.

Do you have endless hours to kill sitting around in waiting rooms to be forgotten about? Do you crave being talked to like you're an idiot? Do you enjoy being gas lit and lied to just because the manager has no idea what they're doing? Well come on down to Biolife Detroit where you'll get all that and more! At one point I was told they aren't able to change your main donor location , you can only do that thru the app? well that's not the case you can only change it at the desk in person, but it's not like a

I was told come in for $125 after not being there for awhile I end up getting $40 I was lied too. They never answer the phone so it's no way to get any info b4 you get there. I don't believe I'll ever be returning again.

It's a very nice place, and the staff are wonderful. But the wait is forever. Low on staff, and if u got a appointment u will still be there for hours.

I wish I could donate twice a week but every time I try to schedule appointment online it won't allow me to donate twice in the same week. Other than that it's ok I'm afraid of needles.

Today was my 1st time visiting I was comfortable the whole time thanks to Ruben he's a good guy and perfect for the job he has hopefully Everytime I visit I can get Ruben because he's professional smart fast and accurate with his set-up if I could 10 stars I would but I definitely received 5 star service today from Ruben

Rude associates and the last time I donated it took 8 hours because of under staffing

They cool but, they need more employees. They have one screener at closing. They are too slow!! is my only complaint not enough employees!! I like the workers!

On January 14, 2024 I attempted to donate at Biolife plasma in Detroit and was told by Nurse Peppers that I was deferred pending HIV HEPATITIS results that the center claimed were done on December 28, 2023 but I actually donated on December 30, 2023. I was deferred on December 28, according to peppers but no explanation was given why no one reached out to me and why was I allowed to donate on December 30. Peppers allege that all donors are screened and deferred every 4-6 months for the same reasons. And you
