However, frequent complaints include long wait times, inconsistent or rude staff, inexperienced phlebotomists causing pain/bruising, and strict or unclear deferral policies. Some donors feel undervalued due to compensation changes or rushed service. While loyal donors appreciate safety protocols, others criticize poor organization, dirty facilities, and lack of empathy—especially for first-time or anxious donors. I've been coming here for a few months now, twice a week every week. Most of the staff is extremely friendly. The wait line can either be instantaneous or a 2 hour wait. I've had perfectly easy visits but more difficult visits. This last visit halfway through my arm the machine stopped pumping so 4 different people came over and adjusted a needle in my arm. Then finally decided to try the other arm. I now have a small hematoma in that arm. The other arm we got the needle to go in fine, got blood to flow

5:40 appointment, in a bed at 7:30 (line of people litterally wrapped around the whole room), hooked up at 7:50 and out by 8:20. Waited a whole hour before using my card because why would we be paid right away? I saw the funds go into my account after an hour. Used $10 of it to pre-pay on gas. That worked, went to use it again and it's declined. My account says I have plenty of $$$ in it, I called the number on the back and they said I'm -$9. What good is donating if you're not allowed to use the money? Now

Its not a horrible place. Bathrooms are always dirty really bad when I go there. And there is always stuff on the floor. They say my plasma is valuable but keep decreasing my amount given to me for donating but somehow have to give more than I usually do. Either pay me properly or I'll find a donation center that will properly compensate me for donating. Less and less every week to have to have more plasma taken out when I go. Also get some less crabby workers. Half the time I dont feel welcome. Make some p

Usually a great place! all the younger employees are super nice, as for the older ones....well not much to compliment on them there ?? but most of them are eh....okay. kinda rude though ???????

Friendly staff. Clean environment. Progress goes smoothly pretty much every time. Some days are busier than others and you might wait for a tiny bit but it still goes rather quickly.

The donation time is fast but the process of actually getting to donate can be ridiculous. Appointments are allowed yet a line is formed for pre screen and even longer line to get back to donate. There should be a better process. The staff to donator ratio is often extremely off.

Every time I come in it takes a hour to even get to the floor.then when done it takes 10 or more minutes to get disconnected. They got better machines to be quicker, but never have all sections open, so there is always a bed card wait line anyway.

They completely destroyed my veins. I can't even donate anymore for 8 weeks because they were constantly adjusting the needle in my vein and I ended up with a hematoma in each arm and ended up having blood loss due to not being able to return my blood. Who knows if I will ever be able to stand donating plasma again but I can tell you it's not worth trying after this experience.

To the kid named Jake that said his card worked at gas station then not after. Um sometimes certain gas stations put holds on your balance for an amount for several hours or overnight if you paid at the pump

I went in for my first donation and all was well, the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, when it came to getting hooked up to the machine they couldn't get the needle placed in my vein right (should be no issue my vien?s are prominent) and I began feeling an incredibly painful sensation all throughout my arm. Instead of returning my blood and beginning the saline they tried again but faster and again the needle was misplaced. I ended up losing a good portion of blood and did not receive all my sa

I always have a good experience at BioLife. I usually go twice a week and see many friendly faces who make sure the donation process goes as quickly and smoothly as possible.

It seems to be busy every time I come as they don't have all areas open. Also I feel that if you have time to be on a phone or iPad you can disconnect someone if the worker is busy If ur not doing a connect or disconnect you can help your fellow worker! I also miss the different colors of wraps

Staff was so professional, friendly and helpful. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. It was my first visit to this location and I was so impressed by how smooth and easy it was to check in and hardly any waiting before they set me up to begin process. As soon as I finished and my machine beeped, attendant promptly took care of me. You have a finely tuned group of staff who are dedicated and believe in their mission. Thank you to all of you for great work you do to make giving plasma effortless!!

Amazing staff. I have small and deep veins but they have awesome ppl that can make it pain free. Emily was my most recent and was so grateful she got me after two others tried, they were all very kind and helpful.

I do enjoy biolife, but when I signed up the original offer was 45-85 for both donations, they have been taking 200ML more than any other place has and kept switching the reward, the week I went in first they switched it too 45-80, then 45-70, 40-65, and now 40-60!? Lmao i thought I was getting pranked, just save yourself the time and go to CSL like me and my friends did, also the abysmal waiting times and the hookup times are literally not worth it. I'll walk in, spend about 40 minutes in line, sit in a be

I donate so I can make my car payment. I've been very disappointed as to how long it's been taking lately. when I started before COVID it took an hour from the time I walked in the door to the time that they walked out. Now it's no less than 1 1/2 - 2 hours. when they got the new machines they said the donation time would only take half the time but it's ending up to be even longer.

Been a donor since it was located on the other side of town. The phlebotomist always seem friendly. Most of the time you can't even feel the needle go in. I think the finger poke up front hurts more then the huge needle going into you arm! ?? Always clean. Money is ok too!

I've been coming here for about a month. It's a very clean facility except the soap dispenser in the bathroom is always empty... Which is whatever you know? The workers are very quick about their jobs and they're friendly. Except for the lady at the front desk... She's a total snob. Any time I ask her something she acts like it's this huge burden, she even dramatically sighs vwhen responding. I understand people have bad days, but she is like this every time. On the first appointment you have to bring all

What a wonderful team of people working with us doners. Everyone we have worked with so far has extended a smile with kindness, care, and professionalism. Keep being amazing humans! Thank you!

I've only donated twice so far. However the first visit was as expected but the wrap around my arm was so tight after donation I was counting the minutes to take it off. The nurse I brought this to attention said your arms not turning blue. ?? but I've had a bruise around my arm where the wrap was for 8 days now. Too TIGHT. Also when I went back for second donation I waited 40 minutes to get to the first station and 40 minutes to get to a bed. Definitely need more staff on busy days, especially Monday!

Everyone is very nice, outgoing and wonderful to have a conversation with. If you answer a question ?wrong? then you get to talk to one of their LOVELY nurses (who are also amazing), they figure out what happened, if the question was misunderstood or if you meant to answer it that way. The staff members that help you get the process going while in your comfy chair are the ones who will help you faster than you can snap your fingers if something were to go even slightly wrong in any way at all. Over all Bio

When going to this center you never know if it will be a quick visit or a long visit. I have had to leave and not donate because the lines were too long and can't wait. They definitely have to put more staff on cuz the lines get long and they should space checkin times out a little more to reduce long lines. They should also have more people hooking & unhooking up to machines. If the money wasn't involved I probably would not be doing it

With the new machines, I had reaction issues. I found this out after the nurse had told me it was a hydration issue. Being hydrated according to the machine, I had another reaction. Due to the reactions I am now deferred for life. I feel this is total bull!!

Not new client friendly. By the time they rush you along through everything, of course your heart rate will be elevated, and that's the excuse to dismiss you from donating. They expect you to know everything they're going to do and get frustrated with you when you don't. As a person with bad anxiety, I've tried to donate 3 times and have yet to donate within the promo period for extra money. Big surprise. Staff is so rude and insensitive. They don't show much emotion at all towards people. And it's not like

Worst experience ever. I waited over 45 min to get my vitals, then when I was getting my vitals the kid did not know what he was doing. He stabbed the back of my mouth 4 different times by jamming the probe in my mouth. Then proceeded to take blood and not test it...then re poked me...and tested it...but didn't hit right button...and then said my hematocrit was low...after he was flustered. Very poor experience

I have been donating at BioLife for 20+ years and have always been very happy with the service. During high-volume hours there are usually lines, but the staff is always trying hard to provide good customer service. Just recently I was able to assist in training for John and Whitney, and it was a great experience! It took awhile to get going, because they were so busy, but they had me unhooked within a minute of my donation being done.

Everytime I decide to come back as a lapsed donor I am reminded of why I stopped coming the last time. I'm back after 1.5 years and it's still the same. There are tons of open spots available online yet there is no staff to even care for those of us there. 90% of the beds are closed and the wait is insane. Wait to get vitals and fingerstick, then wait in line for a bed, then wait for 2 people to get hooked up and 2 people to get unhooked before even being attended to is crazy to me. I should not be there 1

Everyone is so nice and very friendly. Many times I cannot scan my own fingerprint especially in the winter. Someone is always there to help me and I don't feel like I am putting them out. Very nice staff!

Angela and Casey at the Eau Claire center were great! They were fast, and efficient and greeted me right when i came into the section. When the saline was coming one was ready and waiting to disconnect me to get me going. Its always great to come in and donate.

Lines are ridiculously too long, you know what you can handle, but you have too many appointments at one time! Should only take maybe an hour by time you get poked and then get into the bed bedline if necessary or right straight into a bed and get hooked up she only take a half an hour and it You want me to should take an hour and a half two hours to give plasma!

Wait times are absolutely insane. Sometimes I'm there for 2 and a half hours just for a 30 minute donation. They should limit their scheduling if they can't handle so many donors.

I used to be in and out in 45 minutes when they had appropriate staff. Now it 1-1/2 hour on Monday and an hour 15 on Thursday! Waiting is ridiculous get the appropriate staff please!

I've had great experiences most times however there's one girl who's section I hate sitting in. She isn't nice to me but when a decent looking dude sits down she's laughing smiling only checking on them. It's has happened both times I've been in her section. I usually wouldn't care but when she's half asking my stuff( last time she hardly even wrapped my arm and I was bleeding all over the place another nurse had to wrap me up. I don't exactly feel comfortable with that kind of person being around me or my

Very professional and engaging staff. Enjoyable to donate every time.

Most of the staff is very friendly. The first one I had for my first time donating, not so much. I'm glad I went back after my first time to see that not everyone is rude like she was. I hope to avoid her at futures donations!

I have never had a bad experience with any of the employees here but I have to give some recognition to Casey! She's always so kind and she is confident and skilled in what she's doing and is always helping others learn from her and that makes it so easy to trust her during the donation process.

Staff is always relatively friendly, accommodating, and responsive if I have any questions. I have it lucky that I have an easy to find vein and have not had an issue with missed pokes, I know not everyone has it so easy. Wait times can be long at times but I don't mind.

It was so nice to not have to stand in line for a long period of time and everyone was so kind and caring. Great experience.

Staff is rude and inconsistent. The lady had a terrible attitude with me. One day I come in and have a headache and they don't mention it's a problem, the next day I come in and have a headache they say I cannot donate. I drove an hour to the facility and now have to drive an hour back for nothing. Horrible service. I would expect a medical facility to be consistent, but they don't really care.

Employees are kind and courteous. The facility is clean. I have not encounter long wait times?sometimes I wait a little longer than others, but it has been pretty efficient.

The lines for finger pokes and the bed card line are long and slow. Why, if I have an appointment, am I waiting in line for an hour. I am usually very patient and do not have issues with waiting, but this last time was frustrating.

The staff here are so kind and dedicated. They are frequently very busy, but if you go at the right time of day you can get in and out in an hour or so. Using the app to schedule and track my card balance is easy and the promotions they offer are great.

I am 71 years old and have been donating for over 25 years! I really enjoy donating and hope I can continue for a few more years! The staff is friendly and nurses are awesome!

All of the staff at Biolife is exceptional. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the amount of time I'm there varies so much. If it's not busy, I'm in and out in an hour. But there are days when I'm there 2.5 hours because there are so many people there to donate. I get staff is low/training but it makes the day hard to plan when idk how long I'm going to be there.

Don't expect your appointment to be even close to actual appointment and the nurse lied to the manager right in front of me and I called her out and the manager diddnt belive me. They have inexperienced staff that will poke you unsuccessfully 2 or 3 times at least every other visit and I have very good veins.

Makayla was very personable and made sure I understood everything that was happening while going through the process. Any questions I had she answered very thoroughly! Amazing job and I will definitely be going back!

Lines are very long takes a long time to get to the bed the employees do good job just to many appointments available for the number of workers

I am a donor at the Eau Claire, WI facility. The staff is wonderful, they explain in detail, things you should and should avoid before and after donating. I have donated at another facility, that did not explain details. My experience here in Eau Claire,WI, was very good, I am very comfortable giving at this center. Thank you very much!

They will do basically anything to avoid paying you the amount promised. My first appointment they told me a maximum of 2 hours. They then had me wait for half an hour before I was even seen initially and then didn't have a chair for me in the back like they said, causing me to be late for a work meeting that was well over the 2 hour mark from my initial appointment time. My next appointment they decided to cancel on me because of "AC issue", which I know was fake because I called not even half an hour afte

Friendly, well-trained staff!

I am very disappointed with how this center is being run, and my understanding is that it is corporate and not local management. To have people stand in line for an hour past appointment time is no way to run a business. Today people were standing outside in wind and rain. To be told that there is no control over busy times is absurd and absolutely maddening -- your center takes appointments only - the flow/business is most definitely in your control. I have been a longtime donor and I left due to the

Makayla was very nice and talkative. Also a very personable person. She also was the first person to give me the best experience with the needle insertion, was the least painful from any other time so I appreciate that sooo much

Friendly, fun & Satisfying

Pretty irritated I drove almost an hour for my appointment, and was 2 minutes late. Stood in line which put me at 5 minutes late so they refused to see me. If you're going to cancel appointments at 5 minutes then maybe find a better way to do check in since I was only second in line.

Very long wait times, an app that never works right, and management doesn't care about making anything easier or better. You will show up for an appointment only to find you need to talk to someone first, and you could have come in early to do it... But they couldn't be bothered to tell you beforehand, and now there are 15 people in line ahead of you. I have been going here for over 6 years, and I'm sure I will quit for life before I make it to 7 years donating!!!! Don't waste your time here!!! "Edit"Look a

Makes an appointment to still have to wait over an hour, switches spots 3 times because they flood there machine, no one works with one another, FREEZING! Overall, I recommend CSL

While most of the staff is friendly and courteous I encountered one rude woman. I simply stopped by to tell my Bf I was going out to the vehicle and she rudely and loudly kept yelling Ma'am you can't be talking to him when he's answering questions. I have in the past donated at the one in Onalaska, which is where I'll be going once I am able to donate again. Staff is much friendlier and the environment is much more welcoming.

Staff is super friendly and center is always clean. There are some days they are super busy with little staffing but they manage to always have a smile on their faces

Wait time is consistently ridiculously long. Although employees are friendly overall, there seems to be little urgency while they work. I had an appointment at 2:05 and it was 3:20 before I actually started donating due to long lines.

Most of the staff I think are trying their best and are trying to follow the rules when it comes to cleanliness and making sure the people coming into donate are treated well. But there are a couple of the high staff level people that are the WORST. I hope she isn't still working there, but there was this one middle aged woman who was one of the most condescending, rude, belittling, nastiest people I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. An accident happened where the needle in my vein caused my skin t

Absolute joke. Be ready to stand in line for AT LEAST an hour no matter what time you go. Second time I went and their ?computers were down? so everyone just waited for well over an hour and a half. On top of this they have missed my veins multiple times. Had a friend who had to get poked 4 times because they kept missing. Save your time and don't go here.

I have been coming to Biolife for many years staff is always friendly and helpful. Being accommodating with schedule changes, appointments, and rescheduling appointments for me. Juat a great place to be apart of!! The staff is great mixture of individuals . Many with superior skills some new in thre training process. All staff carry themselves in a top notch professional manner. One big thing to see the extra client incentives being given to us. I think it does make it worth people's time to donate mor

I have been donating here for well over a year. And today I have never felt so disrespected. I waited almost an hour to get my yearly physical just to be permanently deferred because they did not update my piercings that I got done 2 years ago. I am normally not someone who writes complaints but I do not appreciate being called a ?liar? when I clearly wasn't.

This was my second time trying to donate. Unfortunately I could not donate but was very disappointed in the way that some workers acted. It was as if they assumed I knew the whole process because I had tried to donate before, which was months ago. I felt very rushed and often times workers were too invested in other coworkers. The worker helping me with part of my physical seemed very annoyed when I would ask her questions. Not very impressed with how this facility's workers act and not worth my time.

Great staff, poor rewards for returning donors. Only $40 if you can only donate once a week. Unacceptable.

Always friendly love the atmosphere here

I have been donating at BioLife for close to 20 years. I've had a few employees that I've had issues with, but believe it or not they never last long and I've never had to say anything. They have very strict politics and procedures because they deal with the medical field. If you're bruised in the donation area of your arm you can't donate, iron is too low, pulse too high, protein too low, BP too high, you can't donate. That's to keep YOU safe and unharmed. The questionnaire before you donate is to keep alr

Awesome friendly staff! I was a little hesitant to go due to other poor reviews. But the staff here is honestly so kind and really care about you. They really take away your nerves and love to talk! I have had nothing but good experiences! Definitely recommend it for the extra cash(:

This plasma donation center has made it nearly impossible for me to donate. Today (March 29th) I had an appointment at 4:40pm. I arrived at 4:10 and gave the woman at the front desk my social, ID, and proof of address. I was then seated in the waiting room at 4:15 and I had to wait for someone to come get my for my physical. After waiting for over 45 minutes I get called at 5:05 to begin my physical. The same woman from the front desk asked for my social, ID, and proof of living again, but when I handed her

I was in and out in one hour. The staff was efficient and pleasant. A great experience.

Standing in line an hour after your appointment time is unacceptable, even with the current covid situation. They will start to lose donors if this isn't fixed. I've been coming for 2 years starting to reconsider. In the building 2 hours... Totally unacceptable!!! I should add most everyone is super friendly.

Workers are swift and experienced, very rarely had anything go wrong and when it did, I was swiftly attended to was able to recover pretty quickly. Good stuff y'all.

The phlebotomists don't seem to know what they are doing sometimes. Maybe not enough training. Half the time when I have a coupon to get an extra ten dollars for a donation, the code is put in up front but I never see it and they say they can't go back a few days before to give it to me. Also, they will turn you away for just being a little tired after donating. They just don't want you back. Nurses are not friendly at all and sit there and seem to be judging you. I would not go back no matter how much I ne

Takes forever standing on lines and when you do finally get to being checked out of your heart rate is 1 or 2 beats over 100 you just wasted 20 minutes of your day

Friendly staff, very clean environment! I've been donating off and on for a couple years and yes, problems have come up, but it's not the employees fault if my numbers aren't within range. Also, I would rather they get the needle in right to save complications from happening than sit there for an hour uncomfortably. Some people need to remember it's a personal choice to go and volunteer time.

Most the phlebotomists are not very experienced. Multiple times I was double poked, they were fishing around with the needle, or they just couldn't hit a vein. Multiple times i had to leave with an ice pack on my arm, and was bruised for several days after. Any time i have to get blood drawn anywhere else, there is never an issue.

They can't keep an appointment time to save their lifes. Even holding people to a 5 minute window to speed things up, they're constantly 30 minutes behind before they can test you, then you sit unaided in a chair for another 15-20 minutes before they can get you hooked up. Estimate your appointment time taking 2 hours because they cannot manage the number of appoints they make properly.

Mikayla is always very friendly. She makes you feel comfortable. Like a friend. Knows what she is doing. Whether she is up front or in back she always says hello.

9/10 reviews are people who are A. Afraid of needles B. Are not familiar with how the hell IV's work or what goes into finding a vein and why you should be happy they said they couldn't find it instead of jamming a needle in your arm with no thought. So here is my review. I had 2 incidents here the first was when they missed my vein by a little bit and injected the saline solution at the end straight into my arm. It hurt for like a day and it swelled up but they were very helpful and cooperative with the s

It's a hit or miss. Some days they'll be super good, stick the needle in the right spot, set the setting on the machine just right and it'll be smooth and be out of there in an hour or less. Other days there will be people there who seem like they don't have a clue what they're doing or don't care. I've had good and bad experiences but lately it's seems to be more bad than good. Once the person in charge of the area I was in disappeared and the needle starting vibrating in my vein. I looked for a technicia

My strong observation is that as you become a regular, they start restricting the days and times you can donate, and it's becoming extremely inconvenient for someone that needs to have a flexible schedule. If you're a relative newbie, you can show up without an appointment. If you've gone there a while, there is no flexibility whatsoever. Haven't quit yet, but the frustration level is rising.

A lot of the staff is rude and clearly do not want to be there, they will talk over you, and make you wait, and wait. While donating two days ago, the floor worker who stuck me was in a rush to get to lunch and stuck me incorrectly, then had someone else reset it, which sprayed my pants with blood. Now I have a bruise on that arm and can't donate because of it. Some of the employees are great but most are not.

Last time i was here I filled out my information on the computer that was having issues, they rudely blamed me and told me to hurry up. I was so stressed by the staff. When i finish they hurried me out and said they'll call. I got a call telling me i cant donate because I don't live close enough, but I do. The staff was horribly rude and unprofessional. They have a high demand for plasma but act like this. Don't waste your time unless you want to be treated badly.

I've been turned away twice now. The first time I was turned away because I have depression and I was told I need a note from my Dr. The second time I was turned away because they need a different note for my PTSD, basically a permission slip from my Dr. Each time they turn me away it's a complete waste of 1 hour and 20 minutes of driving! I live 39 miles away, so that's a 78 mile round trip each time they turn me away. Complete waste of time. They don't care. They even had the audacity to remind me that pl

I made a appointment online and they could not find me. It was my first time at bio life and the staff yelled at me for not having a mask on. They were extremely rude when I said I did not have a social security card. Then ignored me and started helping a different person. They do not explain anything at all to you. I 100% do NOT recommend!!!

I have donated for a few years now. I have been there every week since day one. I have gotten to know the staff very well and all of them are great hard working people. There is only one thing I would change. I feel like biolife has been in the direction of gaining new clients instead of keeping who they have. When I started they offered drawings ect. Now you see huge insentives for newbies or returning customers. Mean while im at 300 donations feeling like 2nd class.. Not only that but it has be

Used to be great. Occassionally a wait but normally never more than 3 or 4 people. Now they over schedule and wait in a line of 20 people to donate. Need to switch their scheduling back to the way it used to be. 1/3 of the time now is waiting. Used to be 50-60 mins to donate in and out there door now about 1.5 hours...

Staff are very professional, and for the most part go out of their way to try to make the experience a good one. Facility is very clean and well-maintained.
