I've been coming here for about 6 months and usually have a pleasant experience. Today, my machine kept turning off and I was told by the manager she needed to look at my arm. She was about to move the needle while still inside of my arm (very unpleasant feeling) when I asked her not to move it. The manager then proceeds to let me know I will need to sit with nurse as I did not receive my saline and proceeds to take me off the machine. As nurse approaches, the manager lets the nurse know ?I refused? therefo
Sat in line for 30 minutes after the routine physical. Got called up, but now i've been sitting and waiting by the machine for around 40+ more minutes and still no one has yet to hook me up to start my donation. I could've already been done by now. And it feels like people who were in line before me are getting called and hooked up faster than I am despite being ahead of them. It's like your place in line doesn't even matter here, because it won't dictate who gets serviced first. The employees need somethin
This is hands down the worst plasma center in Fresno. I was nearly finished with my donation?only 100-200ml away?when my machine suddenly stopped. I raised my hand for assistance, and after a brief check, a staff member pressed a few buttons, readjusted the needle while it was still in my arm, and told me it should be fine. But just a few minutes later, the machine stopped again?this time, my arm started hurting. Despite the machine making an alert noise, no one came. I had to physically call out, ?Excuse
I?v been here only a handful of times. They are appointment- based. But even if you schedule an appointment which is thru their online app, you most likely still have to wait about 10-15 minutes after ur appointment time. Feel like they need more staffs. Couple time i had to wait like 25 min just to get started with the stick. What is the point of making an appointment if you have to wait for 25 min after your scheduled appointment time?. They are too understaffed.
Prior to my last appointment on Wednesday, I was attended by Mia she explained was she doing and asked me questions replied back and she professional and let me know if I was okay and how I was doing. Mia was awesome and I appreciate the service she gave me.
Sundays are usually quick from check in to check out but this Sunday 2/16/2025 was absolutely terrible. I have to reschedule because the staff wasn't the usual I normally see and the environment was just negative all around. Amazing how one question that I answered incorrectly and I told them was by mistake can be such a inconvenience for the person checking me in for vitals. It was a question about the poster they could've corrected but instead make me wait longer in another long line of people that probab
Good place to earn some extra cash. Not a scam and been very helpful to me at times when I've been in a tight financial spot. They do a good job here with cleanliness, professionalism, and politeness for its customers. I will recommend this place to anyone who would be able to donate.
Rated my experience at a high satisfied because not only my last visit but every visit has been very welcoming and fast I feel more calm when knowing the phlebotomist and the nurse take ther job very serious and professional, with acts of kindness.
I got hooked up to the machine by a blue haired girl and she didn't stuck it quite rite so she asked for help and that's when Monica (I'm told that's her name, other than that I can only describe her as a big Asian lady) came already bothered and ignored me and didn't explain anything before she gave me a bad hematoma and got blood all over me and chair. All while never saying sorry or anything. Honestly I can tell she didn't care to be safe and she was trying to be lazy and reckless. Her and the blue haire
Great Staff very friendly. Sally is always Upbeat and has a positive attitude And puts the customers at ease with her willingness to go the extra mile to make sure that they are comfortable.
I consider myself a regular . I have been a donor over 1 year.. it's great way to make some money . The staff is professional in all departments. 90% of phlebotomists can insert the needle with no problem. I referred some of my co-workers but only one mentioned my name ? oh well . I will continue to refer my friends .
I've had the best experience here at BioLife plasma. Everyone is nice. I like donating to know that I am saving lives with my plasma donations. And also I can always use the little bit of cash I receive to make ends meet with my bills. Thanks BioLife for all you do for people.
First time I didn't have a positive experience, person setting up IV transfer appeared to miss my vein. It bubbled up and later leveled out, my vein, but bruised badly afterwards. Not comfortable donating a week apart now. Will need to consider longer wait between donations. Hopefully it was a one time incident.
staff was friendly and got me in and out fairly quick and easy. I was a bit nervous about giving plasma but it went decently well, and i could catch up on emails in the mean time.
First of all, I want to say thank you to BioLife and all of their team members. I'm grateful a place like this exists. Not only is it saving lives in the long run but it's also helping the community. It helped me who is a single mom who had a $1200 pge bill in my 2 bedroom apartment during the fresno heatwaves last summer. So again thank you. I also was to say a special thank you Leticia for being so knowledgeable, attentive and smart! When you're going twice a week people see you as a familiar face and I
Good money, give yourself 1-2 hours, a little longer if it's your first time. I have rolling veins in one arm and deep veins in the other so they usually spend 5-10 minutes digging around my arms (ouch), but last time I went they stuck me so fast that the veins didn't even have time to roll away. Quite impressed TBH
Literally had nurse cindy pass over my ticket repeatedly when I ask why was she passing over my ticket. She smiled and pulled another ticket purposely. Once in physical nurse cindy was so rude and nasty a manager had to come in an take over. I do not recommend here. The Manager was great in how she handled but I will definitely take this futher
The staff is very kind and work professionally. They care for your needs and comfort. THEY ARE ON IT
Vicky is very unfriendly and rude. So one needs to address this with her. Not sure if she's having a bad day but definitely do not want to deal with someone like that. I'll go elsewhere
Worst center I have ever been too. Go to Octapharma in Clovis they are worlds apart in customer service. DONT EVER COME HERE. Ive never had a good experience coming here.
The staff and nurses are professional, but my only complaint is the lack of consistency in donation payments, as there's no way to know what you'll receive each week. I've looked into places like Octapharma and Grifols, which offer more stable compensation.
First time at a donation center. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. Hands down best experience here.
Cheri with the pink hair is the best phlebotomist at this place, y'all better cherish her...and PAY HER MORE lol. She's personable, her IV stabs never hurt, and she's very funny!
they are trash ....i went toady at 9:40 and i still didnt get paid yet and they are super slow and mean.... and they told i got to wait 24 hour to get paid .... dont go there
Less if applicable. Extremely long waiting times, imature staff who are play with each other. Do not recommend.
I usually go to the Modesto branch and yesterday I was in Fresno and the two times I have been to Fresno is the worst experience ever I'll never go back there on top of everything.it is the next day in the afternoon and they never paid me gave me my points Nothing and they never answer the phone don't know if I'll donate again
There is an opportunity to enhance professionalism in the service. Some of the questions can be simplified for better understanding, and encouraging a more friendly approach among staff members would greatly improve the overall experience.
I had the best experience here. The office is brand new, the steps were very direct and detailed. I would definitely recommend and I will be doing weekly visits here! The staff is super friendly and on top of everything. The phlebotomists know exactly what they're doing and I love the music they have! Try it out, I am going to recommend all my fam and friends to come!
I did my first donation and scheduled my second one but the "weekly offer " voided itself based on the clinics work week not my donation ability. I donated Saturday for the lesser amount and my next appointment was for Tues. They started me at the lower amount for a first appointment although it would have been my second donation in a week. So I canceled. I'm not sure if I will go back. They also offered less money the following week. Why punish someone who is willing to be loyal with donations? You are ta
Friendly, professional knowledgeable employees. The wait time is short, I'm usually in and out within an hour or less
I always have a good experience at this location. It's clean, the staff is friendly, they're professional, and they are so good at what they do. I have had multiple sticks that I have barely felt, and not once have I had a blown vein or bruising. You can barely tell by looking at my arms that I have been donating, which is a huge deal for me. Most importantly, it gives me the chance to keep donating and helping people since I don't have to stop and give my arms time to recover. This is how a plasma center s
You make an appointment but what's the point when you are standing in a line for 1 hour before your vital signs are even taken. If we have appointments this should not take 3 hours to donate. I work in the medical field and feel good helping sick people but I will NOT continue to do this because of the ridiculous waiting.
Long wait time. I understand the Fresno location is new. You need to employ more staff. The amount of money paid to donors does not equate to the time spent in BioLife locations. If there should be wait times then, there should be sitting chairs for people to sit. I had to stand for 2hours just to receive $40. I believe the reason new donors won't always return is due to the wait time. I have canceled appointments because I just couldn't wait. I hope you guys begin treating donors like humans and not animal
Overall it wasn't a bad experience. For your first time donating the wait and whole procedure it long. Mine was about 3 hours long so be sure to plan accordingly. The staff is nice and very informative although my first nurse that was putting the needle into me was clearly having a bad day and was unprofessional about it. They are a bit understaffed but you can tell everyone enjoys their job. Only thing keeping this from being 5 stars would be the ladies attitude and the fact that the website didn't include
So donated plasma for the first time. Had a good experience. Staff were all awesome, no issues there. The reason I'm giving 1 star is because I wasn't able to make another appointment and was told to call the lab. I've called multiple times and left multiple messages. No call back since 4 days ago. Then on July 30 early in the morning, I get a notification from UPS that BioLife on Blackstone is sending me a package that requires a signature. It's August 2 and the package has yet to be picked up by UPS. It?
Very satisfied. My visits at BioLife have always been pleasant. From my first visit, the nurse Tula who performed my physical was very thorough and made me feel comfortable. The various techs that have assisted with my donations have all been pleasant and very efficient. I have referred family and friends and received a bonus right away.
I've been donating here since they opened and I'd say about 98.36% of my visits have been beyond great. The team is super personable and friendly. I'd you schedule your appointments ahead of time the wait can range from 1-2 hours for the whole process. Never had a bad stab here and even when my machine did warn of something the team is quick to answer the beep. Special shout out to Alexis, Erica, Grace, Jocelyn, and Allison for always taking good care of me and committing to service with a smile!
The first visit is long, between 2 to 4 hours, but the staff is patient and supportive. The actual plasma donation takes about an hour of that time and was easier than the first part. The second draw was quick. I have had no side effects or bruising at the draw site after two draws. Thank you to the excellent staff.
I have difficult veins that roll if I'm hydrated and are flat when I'm not and most of the time these girls have no problem tapping me this is a good location
Remember if they mess up on inserting the needle and you don't let them do the other arm you get $5 that's all .
My husband made a 6pm appointment for a donation. After an hour and a half of finger prints, mini physical they gave him a 10 dollar bonus card and told him come back. Did not make a new appointment with him. 10 dollars does not ever cover his lobby waiting time. You only get paid 80.00 bucks. With the "bonus" 90. So what is your company doing with his finger prints? Not worth your time.
Friendly staff clean restrooms ,clean place all the way around . Water fountain needs replacement tho .
I had an appointment for 7:15, first time ever too, I showed up on time, checked in and then seated, the receptionist was very professional. I was told to have at most 90 minutes dedicated to the physical + donation, this did not matter. I had to leave at 9 because of work. I was never seen and stayed seated without any hopeful updates. All that to say, if you're going for youre first appointment, you may need to set aside 2.5+ hours. My rating and review will change once I have a true experience of this p
The staff are awesome I get too help by donating my plasma and some change $ 10/10 place I recommend
This place is clean. It can sometimes be very busy. I give it 5 stars all because of Alexis and Jocelyn. They know their jobs and are very friendly. The 5 stars mostly goes to Ryan. He is professional, friendly, knows what he's doing and explains your results and how the process goes. He's ALWAYS smiling and never forgets to tell you to have a good day. He is the "good customer service" this place was lacking before. I highly recommend this place. Plus you help save lives. This staff is very professional.
Staff are courteous and professional, for the most part. Today, however, I had a nightmarish experience. The lady hooking me to the machine kept going back and forth between prepping my machine and removing the plasma and tubing from one near me. During this process she did not change her gloves or disinfect them once. Plus, she stuck my left arm, but didn't do it right so had to switch to my right, still without adequate flow. After moving the needle around trying to adjust it (and creating a bruise) she g
So far I like it. All of the stuffs are great!!! Very helpful, nice, friendly and very professional. Please keep doing this good work! I am appreciate their hardworking ??. And I like all the updates on the email and text messages very helpful.
After reading the reviews, I wish I had chosen a different plasma donation center in Fresno. The employee named Jovanna was unpleasant and rude from the start. I came in with a positive attitude, hoping to give BioLife the benefit of the doubt. I understand that you may not necessarily like your job, but please don't project that onto clients, especially ones you've never encountered before. Edit: most of the employees here have a terrible attitude with the exception of one or two.
Staff explained everything very clearly, made it very simple, and made sure I was following along.
Fantastic staff fast service and kind all the way through the process
So far this place has wasted nine hours of my life that I can't get back. I've been there on three separate occasions that lasted three hours getting through the process only to be told come back. Once because they said my meal wasn't good enough. Twice because I have seasonal allergies. They dont tell you until you what things will stop you from being able to donate until you meet with the nurse , which is the final step (almost 3hrs later). This place has no problem wasting your time. They're very smug
It's a good place to go donate if you don't want to wait long but the females there ALL need retraining on almost everything, every single time I've gone one of the employees makes it painful for me and I've been donating for about 3 years, this is the 3rd place I've gone to and the only place with such careless employees. Just now I came out from donating and my arm started to bleed all over me in my car because she only wrapped my arm about once or twice.
This is the worst location. I had an appointment at 1:15 and i'm still waiting after 2 hours to do the physical. This is absolutely ridiculous, I would like to say this was the only bad experience but unfortunately not. I just hope they get shut down soon. It's absolutely ridiculous!
This place is a cluster...k. Overcrowded. The one Nurse is arrogant. They want u to wait 4 hours to get that physical to donate. The need more computers for that very long questionsare. This place is managed poorly. There is no system in place to run things more efficiently. The pick people randomly feel r that physical
Does no where in the facility does it say you can't answer a phone call &&& they wanna say you can't a answer call !!!????
I feel that they have allot to be proud about. Every time I come in I always feel welcome. I could not find a reason to dislike them besides the wait time, that's not their fault honestly, then being so good created the abundance of donors. Feeling welcome and taken care of will keep me coming back for more.
I have been to all 3 plasma centers in Fresno and Clovis and I will say that by far Biolife plasma services is the only 5 star center in our area. The staff is wonderful. They made me feel like I belonged here from the moment I first arrived. Anytime I needed help or had any issues they were beyond helpful and always very professional. Management is doing a great job with there employees getting them to work great together as a team. This is a must visit and donate if I was looking for a place to donat
We have been going here for a little over a year now, my fianc? and I have gone at least 12 times, and my brother has gone over 32 times. My last donation was an absolute mess. There was blood from a previous patient still present on the chair and arm rest. Cleanliness is a second thought here? Will not be returning. Staff can be very unwelcoming and the wait is always very lengthy.
Careless, complain that they're to busy. Manager lette who is clearly untrained , makes excuses. 50/50 you will leave with your arm messed up. Stopped donating a while cuz they kept messing up. Started again and they are still not trained. I feel sorry for the people who rely on the extra cash. Will go back to donating blood. Hopefully they train better and get workers who actually care knowing it's a job where you effect somebody's body
During the week days things move along well. I had an appointment on Sunday. When I walked in 10 minutes early there was at least 6 people to get blood pressure and checked in. And there was another 6-7 in line to give plasma. I enjoy giving but can't afford to stay there for 3-4 hours
First time donating today. It was very busy! Total time spent was 4 hours and that was fine since I did research prior and found out the first time can be pretty long. Everyone was very kind and incredibly thorough. The process was reviewed multiple times to ensure my understanding. During the actual donation, I was checked on multiple times by the phlebotomists and felt very good about this experience. The building was very clean and staff cleaned after every person. They answered all my questions and even
My experience at bio life plasma Fresno California is all the staff is professional the facility is clean updated and parking is easy access to the building great place to help save a life or a few.
Although they are getting better, I am glad.they have addressed the timelines of the process. Staff is cheerful and seem to be smiles all the time. Makes for a more positive experience. Thank you
After 7 donations, my overall experience at BioLife was pleasant and comfortable. The staff is friendly and attentive at each of the appts. The facility is clean and tidy. If I had questions or concerns, they were happy to assist. I would recommend donating plasma at BioLife.
I was waiting awhile for a returning donation but Erica and staff are always a pleasure. Erica was so nice and caring. Definitely love how she made me at home ??. Great job!!!
If you're thinking about giving plasma, PLEASE SKIP THIS PLACE. I've given plasma for 3 years and NEVER had an issue with the process until going here. Unfortunately a few weeks ago my regular donation location was down so I decided to try donating here. Worst mistake I've made. I've NEVER had an issue when it comes time to place the needle, actually producing plasma and recovering but here, it every step was painful. The phlebotomist (not sure her name, older Hispanic female with Japanese wood tag on her l
I love donating to help any life saving cause so this is number one how ever my first experience took 5 hours and I went with my husband who was denied donating because he said years ago he had chest pain because of anxiety and the gentleman in training denied him to donate without a doctor's approval, my husband is completely healthy and he can't get into the doctor until mid January. Yesterday was my 3rd donation and I had an appointment at 11:15 am and didn't get out until 2:30 pm so better time managem
Overbooked but still fairly quick most days but the last 2 tech I had drawing from my right gave me very large bruises I never had yhat happen on my left arm both were in a rush and not really paying attention. Will not be coming back not worth the trouble and understaffed issues to even attempt
Donating at Biolife is so much better after they added the new beds, making the wait time one hour instead of three. Their friendly staff and knowing that your helping to save lives????? just makes it that much better.
I have donated plasma with this facility over 32 times. Most of the donations are pretty straight forward. However, today was a different scenario. I had been ineligible last week due to an antibiotic. The rn that I saw here 2 weeks ago told me to wait 48 hours after the last time I took my antibiotic, and to wait 7 days after my last symptom. Today marked 9 days symptom free, and 8 days free from my antibiotic. The computer told me to consult with an rn today before my donation, so I waited in line. Some p
After a few donations, you understand the process and length of time you will be staying. My personal experience has been good. Nice friendly employees.
Highly recommend!!!! I donated plasma here for the first time a few weeks ago and was very pleased. The staff was super welcoming and patient as they guided me, a new donor, through every step of the donation process. And to their returning donors, they are super friendly! One of the nurses even welcomed a gentleman back and mentioned how happy she was to see his smiling face again. As some others and I waited for our individual physicals, that same nurse offered all of us water! I wish I had gotten her nam
Everyone here was real nice and professional. They explain everything and Happy to answer all my questions. The process is simple. The place is very clean and well maintained. I would of given a 5 star review but the only issue is it took almost 5 hours to complete my 1st donation so be prepare to clear ur schedule the 1st time.
Why have a phone if youre never going to answer it or return any calls? Ridiculous that ive been trying to get ahold of someone all day regarding my first appointment in an hour and cant even get someone to pick up or call me back. Dont tell people to call your location if youre not gonna answer. So dumb
I don't like how you guys cut the promos off if the appointment is after the dead line it it should be when the appointment is made instead. And thats because of the limited space you guys have. And I don't like how you guys say you are giving me a special offer for being valued donator when you cut the payment to something less than the previous offer. And then you talk about how things in life are costing more but you lower the value of my plasma, I think it's more of a slap in my face
Made an Appointment in person for the same day, came in on time said they couldn't find my appointment. I gave the name of who i spoke too. lexis told me nothing he could do. The person in front of me was late 12 mins and he denied her appointment. I asked if I could just have that spot. Was no help. Have an appointment 2 weeks out. Very Poor Management?
Stopped donating at this location since numerous times the needle was inserted incorrectly. Once it caused swelling and bruising. On 3 other occasions the tech had to request assistance since she placed the needle incorrectly. I donated plasma for the past 6 years in different citiesto assist medical research since money is not my motivation. I would avoid donating at this location.
Skip this place. Their new donor offer is impossible to complete. They give you 30 days to complete 8 donations, but two weeks after my first appointment I'm still waiting for my test results back to be able to donate again. Can never get anyone on the phone and I've left 3 voicemails with no return call. First donation couldn't even be completed because the tech who stuck me couldn't get a proper flow after trying both arms. Never had that happen and I've donated elsewhere many times. On top of all that
Came back to change my review. I've been waiting IN A STANDING ONLY LINE for over half hour as they bring in new donor after new donor and let them take the place in front of the line. My appointment was over an hour ago. And do they give us a place to sit? NO! And apparently this is a normal complaint. Just showed the lack of concern for their donors. But the employees are nice.
The people who work here are great. When I started donating, it was easy, fast, and I would have given 5 stars. Lately, things are so crowded that I waited 2 hours in line today. Someone needs to give this center more machines!
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
