Switched to this location due to moving nearby, and it seems when I go, it is understaffed. More often than not, there is a wait because they have like 17 of 38 charis available. There has also been times I've had phlebs who clearly do bare minimum and ignore machines that give warnings (no flow, high pressure return, weight change, etc) until a phleb from another section comes over to help. But this means you and any other donor will wait. More than half my appointments here in the last month I've been in
I just switched to this location from the silver spring location and I was delightfully surprised. Less waiting time, seem to be more competent staff, and Kai the phlebotomist that did my IV did a stellar job. I have very good veins but silver spring was missing my veins somehow and causing no flow or bad flow and I had no issues this time in fact it was my fastest donation ever. Also missed one question accidentally on the screening questions, prompting a visit to the nurse but instead of sitting 20 minute
As this was my first experience donating plasma, I was a bit nervous. To my surprise, the place was very busy at 630 AM when I arrived. Again, I'm new, don't know what to expect. It was clear that the staff was fully working on getting the folks waiting for the vitals checked in, made me a little more patient with the process, knowing you can only do so much, and I wouldn't want someone to "rush" through the process and make a vital mistake. With all that said...the staff was friendly and talked through t
One of the patient?s needle came off and started leaking. The 2 workers did not act fast and took their time. They also were engaged in conversation and chuckling during this. I did not like seeing this, they didn't take it seriously as they should have. I didn't get their names unfortunately. This happened in the pink section around 6:33pm approximately. Please consider this more.
I wish I could give the highest possible recognition in service towards Brogan and his team (Cody, Sam, Sabrina and others who's names I don't know yet) who worked tonight 02/27/2025. They always help with a smile and give such good service. They never treat us as donors badly even if we come in right before they should close. This is such good traits and such good skills. I am in awe of their service and the way they work. A new donor came in right before they closed and they did not even hesitate to hel
Horrible. Horrible management. Horrible testing. Absolutely no sympathy. I was told I had hepatitis C on TWO samples I gave. Went and spent hundreds of dollars on testing at urgent care just for all my labs to come back normal. It caused me days of stress and a big bill all for a false positive test. After calling many times (they do not answer their phone calls what so ever), the manager finally got back to me. When I asked how I'm supposed to go about being on a deferral list, she told me to follow up wit
Really efficient, professional staff. The staff keeps the donor area clean and hygienic. Their incentives are fair-good. I personally would not donate anywhere else because of these reasons. I donate in Greenfield, Milwaukee. The signage on the walls is inspiring to donors to keep working with them to improve the well-being of those in need of plasma. I have listened to an NPR story online about the ?dark side? of plasma donation in the U.S. Biolife plasma services bypasses all of the valid points made in t
As a new client here, my initial assessment is they take WAY too many appointments for the staff they have. Today, there was only 1 person taking vitals with 10+ people in line after the other tech indicated she was "going on break" (and new donors get to go to the front of the line for some reason). So much waiting around here with a normal donation taking AT LEAST 2 to 2.5 hours has me wondering if it's really worth it, even with the new donor compensation promotion.
If I could do zero stars I would. Very rude people working there, especially the nurse who has blonde hair (I wish I remembered her name) but she was the worst! Also, they do not answer their phones whatsoever. While I was sitting waiting to be seen by the nurse I decided to call, just to see if they don't pick up because they really are that busy or if it's just not wanting to deal with phone calls. Both times I called, there was 3 people at the front desk, first time 2 weren't doing anything, 2nd time on
I have never once felt uncomfortable at this location. The facility is clean and organized, and the chatter amongst the employees is always a treat. Even on a couple rare occasions where screening made me ineligible to donate that day, they were never unkind.
Well let's start with the fact that they're understaffed and lack concern for their donators. They don't act or react in a timely manner if a situation was to arise. I got a hematoma because of the lack of training in this facility and pretty much had to yell to get someone over to fix the problem. I watched my skin swell up as the blood was being returned because they missed my vein and it dislodged from its position. Everyone that works here should be able to properly set a needle but they don't, Instead
This BioLife location is exceptional. I recommend this plasma center to anybody who appreciates good service and care and compassion for their customers and patients. The staff members that help me sign up and do my initial appointment and donation we're so nice and professional I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks again to a wonderful experience and meeting some really great people.
I have never been so irritated donating before. 3 hours! Two hours waiting and an hour in the chair. Wth?? This place is never like this. So I knew that my next appointment wouldn't be so long. Wrong!! Same thing. They need more workers!
They last minute pulled me because I brought up a concern and they said ?oh you just shouldn't donate then?. They couldn't do something they had done before and I just wanted a bag INCASE something were to happen. I get nauseous easily. I've donated before. Wasted my whole day. I will never go to this location again. They want to have an attitude like they are working in retail.
They schedule more appointments than they have the staff to handle. I stood in line for an hour before even getting my vitals taken. The staff are nice, and good at what they do, but there is just not enough to handle the volume of people.
Recent experiences in the new year have overall been negative. Long wait times, back-ups, etc., and no one can seem to offer an explanation that makes sense. I do not understand how this is happening repeatedly. Poor management/ scheduling management? Today, I arrived for my appointment and had 15 people in front of me waiting to have vitals taken. If we have to schedule an appointment, I do not understand how this is happening? 10 people waiting in line for a section to donate in when I left (post-vita
This place is a joke. I have made two attempts to donate blood at this facility. Both times the employees are confused at how they do their job, or zero lack of motivation. Staffing looks like a skeleton crew, with employees nowhere to be found when you initially walk in. I had one of their employees tell me what time I showed up and she wasn't even in the area of the front desk. Biolife you're a hot mess and you need to hire employees that actually wanna work. I wouldn't go back if you paid 5000.00 a donat
This place is FANTASTIC, the STAFF is very friendly, the facility is always clean. I recommend BIOLIFE to every who would like to donate plasma. The biggest reward is you're HELPING people all over lead a normal life.
I donate here every once in a while, and it's a great place, the staff is very nice. This visit was great, I was helped by a very sweet woman named Racquel. I'm very scared of needles, and she made the whole process very very easy. Highly recommend that if you are scared of needles but still want to donate, that you ask for her
Always great staff. Besides my initial registration, including physical, longest in/out time is 1 1/2 hrs, just once. The rest of the times easily one hour from entering to leaving.
The staff is phenomenal. They always give me the best service. I am dismayed, however, because the pay scale keeps decreasing. In this time of economic hardship this speaks volumes of the greed of this company. Taking advantage of poor people. Clearly this company?s stake holders care nothing about improving the quality of this lives of small people. It is a disgrace to their ?mission?.
This place used to be great but has gone downhill lately with their new policies. The max amount of plasma they used to take was 800ml but now they take up to 1000 ml and their machines are constantly showing high return pressure due to ?clogged filters?. So what used to take an hour to donate now takes over 2 hours! Not worth it
Need to be better staffed. Waited an hour before even getting to the screening with only 2 people working the front. 15-20 ppl Deep. There should be 3-4 working at all times IMO to stay consistent.
Awful customer service by manager Crystal. Instead of attempting to listen to the story, she is very demeaning and condescending. My son attempted to tell her that he was seen on Saturday where the phlebotomist missed causing a hematoma. she attempted in his other arm and nothing. He was told that he would still get compensated. We have attempted several times to reach a manager / supervisor with no calls in return. Today as we went to go ask more info, Crystal comes with an immediately attitude and tells
Consistently understaffed and/or overbooked. Seems to be the trend across multiple BioLife Centers. What's the point of an appointment and such if you have to wait 30+ min to get checked and then more wait time to even get to a donation bed.
This facility used to be good. The last few times I have been here I have waited an hour in line- they are short staffed. Also the texh checking my vitals screwed up so she had to poke my finger a second time and 4 people wond up going in front of me. Going to go to a new facility
Came here and they were on so much bullshit. At one point I didn't even trust them to take my blood cos I thought they'd make a mistake. That's how bad they were and a staff there literally showed me something on my phone while his gloves were still on. Very unsanitary and unsafe for me. That glove has come into contact with blood and other pathogens. Please improve. Thank you
I'm giving one star because I can't give zero stars. I have tried three times to donate, and have wasted hours of my life being unable to donate for inexcusable reasons. The worker took notes on my medical history wrong, leading to year-long delay as I tried to get my surgeon, previous family practitioner, and even a new practitioner to provide a medical release, which - once I had it - I was told was actually unnecessary because the description the nurse wrote down was not factually correct, and even then
Staff is friendly but I think it would be helpful to take less new patient appointments each day and have a better system for checking people in.
Wasted 2 and a half hours there trying to donate just for them to turn me away after they poked me and everything because I needed a note from my doctor bc I have sleep apnea. They should ask medical questions before you waste your time going all the way there. I was NOT happy.
Everytime Racquel takes care of me during my donation it's a relaxing experience since she's so friendly and easy to vibe with. The best part is I never feel her poking me. I appreciate her skills!
I have supplied all my medical info including my meds which they insisted be forwarded by my physician but the doctor in charge NOW after 6 months of waiting wants me to sign off on a complete access to my medical records and wants to ?chat? with my surgeon who did surgery on me 27 years ago! Well my former surgeon is not alive and this clearance Doctor is ridiculous! Maybe it is just elderly profiling and ageism?!??? What an invasive ?Doctor? no one calls you back to let you know if you are cleared. All ar
Cindy was very professional and helped me get the fastest donation time of all my visits. Crystal completed the donation cycle and was great.
Racquel is literally the best! She's very professional and has a beautiful spirit. She always greets everyone and she's very nice. Keep up the amazing work.
I will say the staff i encountered were all very kind. I have to say I am very disappointed. I set my appointment, called 2 days before to ask questions *how much water to drink what to eat ect* and in 2 days no one returned my call. The staff even said calling is a crapshoot. Because of no information, I thought I drank enough water, but I wasn't able to donate. You know what else was avoidable? If someone had returned my call I would have know I can't donate whilst attempting to get pregnant. I would h
Looked at another plasma center but appts were cx?d without notice and I didn't feel the center was kept clean. Went to BioLife on 74th and Layton in Greenfield & was greeted at the desk, given all the answers I was looking for and felt I was in a much cleaner environment. Just felt safer for my health and the staff seemed invested in their jobs. Will continue to go back!
Everybody was super awesome! I'm glad to help out the people who need the plasma and get a little "scratch" / $ on the side!! Silvia is Awesome too!!! Super Friendly, Super Experienced and a Super Hard Worker!!!
Greenfield is the worst managed facility I have ever seen I my life. Make a appointment and maybe an hour after your appointment they may find time for you. Just a horrible experience. Do yourself a favor and go to any other location just not the Greenfield location or you'll be as disappointed like most are that come to Greenfield
Ann Marie she was very great. She was very informative, polite and helpful if you go to this location I recommend her. Also the location was very clean and got things done in a timely manner.
Anna Marie was fantastic and so kind and helpful! She made the sign up process so easy for me and was a joy to converse with.
Overall, the crew is awesome. It does often, however, seem a little DMV-ish with a lack of sense of urgency. My biggest wish is that they reconfigure how they send people to their sections. Because there were open beds, I was sent to a section only to see 2 people needing to be hooked up and 1 needing to be disconnected. Meanwhile, others who came after me start donating sooner because I had to wait. It would be better to stand in brown (waiting section) until you were ready to be connected. Otherwise, it b
Made an appointment, sat there for 2 hours and never got called back even though other people who came in after me were called back. And when you walk in thier is no one at the desk if I could give it negative stars I would.
Layla is great, always makes me feel comfortable and is always positive, she makes the process way more enjoyable, Thank you Layla I hope I'm spelling her name right, she told me a millions times to, I'm sorry, stay being great Layla!!!!
Awesome place, best plasma donation process I've experienced! Friendly staff, in and out quick, and they give you snacks on your first donation!
There very professional everyone & there great @ their jobs really!!!! & helping save lives is a great feeling as well then to get compensated for my time & is a bonus
Great first-timer promotion. Clean, knowledgeable, friendly team at BioLife. Easy to navigate the site. Highly recommend.
I have donated about 9 times now. I think facility is clean but feel they need more help. Techs seem kinda quiet, not much friendly chit chat. Like a robot. They have a job to do but feel they could acknowledge a donator a little more. Just my opinion. I would still come back because location is convenient.
Disappointing Experience at BioLife Plasma Center I initially enjoyed donating plasma at BioLife and appreciated the opportunity to do a good deed. However, my experience was consistently marred by issues with my referral bonuses and payments. Despite referring two friends, I never received my buddy bonus. I left multiple voicemails, but unfortunately, my calls were never returned. I hope BioLife will take steps to address these issues and improve the donor experience. Until then, I'm hesitant to continu
All my black men and black women please be very careful at this center. They are very racist. They are very rude to the young community they discriminate for you and you don't even know that they defer you. They write false information on your account and there's nothing you can do unless you take action somewhere else, they go in your account after you leave and you're not even aware that they just put something under your name that's not true and they won't give you any type of copies no statements or any
The Greenfield Biolife location is very conveniently located just west of Kopps Custard on 76th and Layton. The staff is always very nice and appreciative of my donation. Ravneet, Aryanna, Ava, Cody, Leanna and many others welcome me (and many others) by name. Check in is fairly quick (except during those high volume times like right after work...even then it usually takes 20 minutes or less). Donation process is smooth. You get paid for your donation...BUT THE BEST PART IS...YOUR DONATION HELPS PEOPLE W
My appointment time yesterday was 11:10, and I arrived about 5 minutes early. I didn't get called to start the initial screening process until about 11:45. I then didn't get into a donation seat until about 1:00pm and didn't leave until about 2:30pm. I was extremely dissatisfied with how long it took, given I had an appointment. I am not sure if the team was understaffed, but for my first time, I wasn't very happy. Once I got to the chair, I had a pleasant experience, I was just dissatisfied with the amount
Asking management for help on prior detailed printed appointments is like pulling teeth.... YES, you can print that option from prior apts and it was sad that Manager with long black hair, didn't want to do the job and help me. Its actually due to me being hacked money stolen elsewhere and i needed timestamped proof i was there!!!!!!! and it was very important that i got that prior dates printout....BUT THEY DIDN'T COMPLY...VERY SAD.
Staff is extremely friendly, from the moment you walk in the door until you leave! New patient sign up was quick and easy, took about 90 minutes in total. The phlebotomist who stuck me was amazing and such a happy person! I was told previously that I has small veins and always had trouble donating, here I was told I have big veins and was stuck with no problem! The overall atmosphere is relaxing and calm. There's no 2 hour long wait to donate like at some other donation centers.
Ava gives off a positive vibe & a professional at her job by making me feel welcome and comfortable at Bio Life!
No waiting this time- the technicians were far more attentive and quick to connect and disconnect much faster than usual. Maybe more well staffed than usual?
The staff here is great, especially Raquel who does a great job at making the needle nearly painless.
The tech that I had today was AMAZING! racquel was the absolute most sweetest thing. I'll definitely be back to see her
5th time my partner didn't get the payment and can't call because now they're closed and he just left. Overheard them talking about turning the phone off so they dont hear it ring. So now he knows why when he doesn't receive a payment that's the reason he has to call more than once. Always has to wait 20 mins to get taken off of the machine, it happens basically every donation because some workers prefer to talk. have had few pleasant experiences but some workers are truly good. Now he has to wait until tom
If you pulse is too high, 5 mins is not enough to get it to go down to below 100. Every other plasma donation place in Milwaukee allows for 15 minutes as a standard. To expect every type, size & age of person to be able to go down to an acceptable range in just 5 minutes is ridiculous. I've never seen a single person they had sit down for 5 mins pass after the 5 minutes.
I have been coming to this BioLife for about a year and it's pretty consistent. I've only had a hiccup with a donation once and that was today but in the end I have an all around experience here, some days are better than others but I like coming to donate here. UPDATE: Instead of 4 stars I'm dropping it down to 2 because of how much of a decline there has been with organization, customer service, and the overall experience with trying to donate. It seems like they're starting to experience a high turnove
They sent a letter to my PCP and my psychiatrist to give me a go ahead to donate my blood plasma. My psychiatrist had to fill out the letter in front of me at my appointment because the letter was full of questions that I needed to answer, like if I'm capable of sitting still for a full hour. I felt stigmatized based on my mental illness. I also need to get a letter from my neurologist, and my neurologist isn't available until February. On top of this, I'm thinking I have to schedule another appointment wi
Great experience. Clean friendly and helpful. I'm an occasional doner that donates when they have promotions that make it worth the time. They run promotions that are pretty good.
I went to the location in Greenfield. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I enjoy going to donate there.
The staff is very nice and professional but the company keeps lowering the donation money. It was $140 a week, now it's $90. Plus the last time I went they were severely understaffed and I was there over 2 hours.
Just did a donation and never got paid or counted as a donation? Just terrible one of the lady was very Rude as well !!
Ava was very pleasant and great to talk with while she was doing her stick. I did not feel the stick, and the donation went smoothly. Asia and Ashley always say hi even when I am not in their section. Lots of friendly workers who know my name make my visits that much better!!
They scam you. You get texts about 90 to 95 Dollars and leave with 40 and then try calling them and no one ever answers the phone. These people are lazy and unsanitary
Biolife decided on their own without permission from me to take up to 1000 ml of plasma instead of the previous max amount of 800 ml. I felt lightheaded and dizzy when i got home. Mind you I have donated over 250 times with no problems . The next time I went for a donation I consulted with the nurse and she stated that my body should be able to handle that amount according to their guidelines . I researched the topic and it stated donations should not exceed 800 ml. Management was not willing to reduce
Do not ever go here, go to another center. The workers are rude and they seem like they don't know what they're doing. I had a worker leave me sitting for over 10 minutes waiting for a blood pressure retake. Instead of retaking my blood pressure she forgot about me and helped 4 other people before I asked a member of management to cancel my appointment. If you like to be a happy and positive person I recommend just going to the pewaukee center or somewhere completely different.
I've donated at several BioLife centers over the years and they always seem to get worse over time. You can arrive early for your appointment, only to wait for 30 minutes to have your vitals checked and another 30 for a chair. The employees are always standing around chatting and there is no sense of urgency, even when the line of donors is out the door. There are a few decent employees here but management needs to get off their butts and get people motivated. Like other people have mentioned, it really suc
The employees at the Greenfield Center are very friendly and professional although they could use more help. I get in and have my vitals take quickly and get a chair. The phlebotomists for the most part are very accurate. I enjoy helping others and leave feeling good.
Very clean. Minimal to no wait times. Excellent staff! Samuel's my favorite, he always remembers my name & says hello even if I'm not in his area. Highly recommend. Nice relaxing way to earn extra cash!!!!
I love the staff at my center. They are all very nice and does their job very well. Jackie is very attentive and always makes me and other donors are comfortable. However I wish for the owners to give us higher donation rates. I'm sure that they've noticed a huge drop in numbers of donations.
Everyone at the Greenfield location has been professional, super kind and helpful.
The people here are all very friendly and easy to talk to. I have small veins and they appreciate me telling them. They go above and beyond to make my experience as painless as possible. I have never had a bad experience, even when there are issues getting plasma from me.
Sam is a professional with a capital P. Pleasure was all mine. Enjoyable experience all the way around
The staff is very friendly and want to make sure that you are comfortable during the entire donation process. If you have questions, they team will answer them the best they can. You're in good hands at this donation center. The floor supervisors/floor managers are awesome.
I've really enjoyed donating so far. The staff is always ready to act accordingly if there are any issues during donation and is typically very friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have if you are apprehensive about donating. I feel like my safety and comfort is always the first priority. A few of us didn't get initial lab results in on time and could not donate for a week, but we received a bonus coupon for our troubles, and the first month bonus was extended to accommodate the lost time. I
Deann was amazIng. I was having a horrible experience with another tech and she was an absolute delight.. Always a wait! Always understaffed! Never enough nurses to help so plan on being all day for ANYTHING! Mess up on 1 question at the kiosk and they will make you sit until all day while they walk around looking slow! May as well be a walk in clinic.
Great facility and amazing staff. I've been going almost 2 months now. You can make decent money for the short time you are there. First visit is the longest but after that you get they fairly quick. I've had the pleasure dealing with all the employees and few great ones. Nurse Katie - Manager Katie & KC are always great.
I didn't have to waited for a long time. The staff was very friendly and caring, knowing I am scare of needles. They made sure I was comfortable and I was donating for a good cause.
Donation compensation started out good been coming here steady for over a year now. Been declining month to month now @ 90 /wk co sidering donation times can be as long as 2 hrs a visit. Staffing is excellent. Great personalities. Company is getting cheap on payouts especially to your consistent donors
I've been donating for about 6 months. Although it's not always enjoyable... its never due to staff. The staff here is friendly and helpful. I especially want to shout out Cody. He takes the time to make small talk while being super efficient at his job! It makes a difference when you know the employees are enjoying their job too. My only concern is that they are often short staffed. But that seems to be the theme in all walks of life now days. Definitely would and have recommended this donation center!
Forgot my appointment not once but TWICE - also forced my friend to buy Wendy?s - unprofessional and understaffed
Normally I have a pretty good experience. There have been a few times where I've been there longer than 2 hours which is frustrating when you have other appointments or plan your day around donating. This last time tho, I had heard there was a ? meeting? that required a lot of the floor staff/ managers to leave very little help for this that were left .workers were stressed, patients were upset. It can be frustrating when it feels like your time isn't valuable. I understand meetings need to happen, but make
Racquel is absolutely amazing. Perfect bedside manner and the most painless stick I've ever had
Well time to leave a 1 star review every time I go until changes happen. The staff is very slow and at least 25% of the time the computer to check in don't work. They falsely said I answered a question wrong with added about 40 minutes to my time waiting. At CSL, they can fix that without wasting your time.
AnnaMarie super excellent service and she explained everything to me like a real Professional and make me feel comfortable every second excellent service
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
