BioLife Plasma Services Greenville, SC

Reviews Summary

Reviews show a mixed experience with notable polarization. Many praise the friendly, professional staff and clean facilities, particularly highlighting efficient, pleasant donations when properly staffed. However, consistent complaints cite severe understaffing leading to excessive wait times (often 2–4 hours), poor organization, and frustration over mismanaged appointments. Compensation and inconsistent policies (e.g., medical eligibility, punctuality rules) also draw criticism. While some donors feel valued and return regularly, others abandon the service due to inefficiency and unmet expectations. Negative experiences often involve long delays, while positive ones emphasize kindness and smooth processes.

I have been giving plasma for a year now and although it's usually always busy the staff take the time to chat and put me at ease. Sometimes when I come they are very short staffed and I have to wait over an hour but thats not the staffs fault. My favourite staff member is Emma. She is kind, gentle and a great people person. She deserves a payrise and promotion. Great job, Emma xx

I arrived a little after 9am, appointment scheduled for 9:30. I was told that my normal breakfast which is a decent size bowl of whole grain cereal with almonds and 2% milk was not good enough. The nurse called up to the desk said I could either go out and eat something and reschedule or I could eat what they offered me. What they offered as a supposed ?full meal ? was electrolytes, goldfish, a protein shake, and beef jerky. The Biolife website does not give any specifics on what you need to eat before han

I've been coming to this location for all my donations because it is clean and they have friendly and knowledgeable staff although they are short handed somedays they still handle their business

I apologize because I want to be fair but this place really is very bad, while some staff members are nice, some others are just absolutely horrendous, Kimberly specifically was extremely rude and just ignored multiple people, but even with the nice ones, no-one and I mean NO-ONE has any sense of urgency whatsoever, I mean at all, they will have one person up front screening with a line of 10 people, you will wait over and hour just to get stuck many times, you will be here for hours at a time, this seems t

2 stars because this place is always so clean and the staff are amazing! Always impressed. However with that said I will never return to here ever again. It's been hell trying to be a return donor. I got deferred due to a medical procedure which is fine and understandable. Can't donate that day. Fine. When my deferment is over I try to return to donate. Still can't donate it's been too long now. Fine. Schedule another visit for physical so I can finally donate again and use the very generous donation coupo

First apt and first time doner ever. Every staff member has been friendly and professional. They explained process every step of the way. Facilities are very clean. I will be a regular if I don't experience side affects keeping me from this.

Good morning. The staff are very informative and supremely professional. All of the phlebotomist are great. There is one there; Kaitlyn (I hope I spelled it right) stuck me on Sunday, I didn't feel it at all. We were talking and I looked down and she already stuck me. I've been donating for about a year. I've been to CSL and Freedom Plasma. (BioLife in my opinion is the best atmosphere to donate. I HIGHLY recommend.

Sara and Cassie are my favorite techs. But really everyone I've dealt with has been exceptional. From the nurses to the vitals staff and especially the blood techs everyone is truly amazing. Thank us donors all you want but the techs make donating effortless. Thank you guys!

This is my third time donating here. I like the center much better than other places I have donated. It is very clean and organized. I wish there were chairs you could sit in while waiting to be screened, as standing for long periods can mess with your vitals. The staff is all very polite and knowledgeable and I like the staff the best out of any plasma donation center I've been to.

I was a second time donor today at BioLife Greenville and wanted to express how efficient, clean, and organized the facility is. The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. For my very first time to donate, I was quite nervous going in not sure how everything would work or make me feel, but the staff and nurses helped calm those fears by walking you through every step and doubly insuring you are okay after your first donation. A special thanks to Maggie and Yvonne who were very gracious, thoroug

This location has very nice workers over all. However, they are almost always backed up and their machines are slow. When it comes to disconnects from the machine when you're done, the employees are typically slow to respond. If you have another option, I would go with that. Otherwise this isn't a bad location just prepare for it to take at least 2-3 hours.

I recently decided to start donating again (my last donation was in 2018) & BioLife made me feel so welcomed & I knew from the beginning that I was in good hands. The staff is friendly & most importantly, they know what they're doing. The wait times can be a little longer in the evening but generally the line moves pretty quickly. My donations usually only take 30-45 minutes but please make sure to be extra hydrated & eat well before donating. Thank you BioLife team!

Actual donation was easy. Staff were kind and knowledgeable. The sign-up process (physical, registration, testing) did not need to take 2 1/2 hours! There were not enough staff to process us. I understand the first time would take longer than the following donations, but 3 1/2 hours is unacceptable. I may change my review after donating a few more times, but the registration process needs to be streamlined.

I love BioLife ? I donated to help people cause I had a conversation with someone that spoke to Me about donating an I did I go every two days.. it's not about the money it's about knowing you saving lives and the staff is so help a great care about your well being. I love BioLife an if you ever wanna feel secure in donating I consider this location. Always satisfied in my visits

I stopped going a couple of years ago because the lines were getting too long, and each donation was taking longer than the one before. I recently started back. It was fine in the beginning. Now it's turning right back to the same thing. They only have enough employees to open half of the sections. I just waited an hour and a half just to get hooked up to the machine. I would suggest that if you have anywhere else to go, you should do that.

My husband has been coming here to donate plasma. The first and second time he went it went fine, but the third time the nurse dug into his arm and it caused a lump to form a few hours later and then started bleeding. Very bruised and very sore. This last time he just tried to go, he went in and only two women were working, he stood there waiting for 20 minutes and while he was waiting about 8-10 MORE people showed up. He then walked out and told me, I was waiting in the car because the first and only time

My pulse was high so the last time I came I had to wait two hours to see nurse . Nobody tells me that if you go ahead and take questions then get finger stuck and pulse taken and it high that that counts as a third high pulse . I didn't do the retake and thought I'd be ok so I come today and had to see the nurse again and she said it don't matter about the retake . I'm so upset and this isn't the end of this . I will call corporate and who ever else I need too . I've donated at other places and if you choos

The staff at this location are very nice, and efficient with this process. With this being my first time, there was an identity verification, questionnaire, physical, and then the donation process. I was there for 3.5 hours. I highly recommend eating a full meal before going. I had to go and eat something before being able to donate. This took an additional 45 minutes.

Giving plasma has never been easier! I can booked my appointment on line. They have plenty of choices in the time you need to fit your schedule! The team @ BioLife is friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks for making my donation pleasant!

This center does its best to get you in and out and as quickly and painlessly as possible. Make sure you're hydrated and have eaten something before donating! The machines take plasma very quickly. The return is also very quick, but can be painful.

I've been coming here for 3 years, always been great experiences until the past 2 months. Suddenly they are always short staffed, lines of 12+ people waiting (now its taking 2 hrs or more to donate), and new employees consistently not being able to get a good stick. I can understand a handful of short staffed days, but 2 months consistently is a bit frustrating. I hope this improves because I've been recommending this Biolife location to people for years but now I'm reconsidering. *EDIT to add the staff ha

I went for the first time yesterday and everyone was super great! Cassie especially was amazing and made me feel super comfortable and kept cheering me on the whole time I was donating. Booked my next appointment already!

Donating at BioLife Plasma is always a breeze! The process is simple and easy, and the staff is consistently friendly and knowledgeable. But I have to give a special shoutout to Maddie?she always has a warm smile, is super friendly, and makes the entire experience even more comfortable. Whether it's your first time or you're a regular donor, you'll feel welcomed and well taken care of. If you're thinking about donating, this is definitely the place to go!

I love this place. Everyone's so nice, acknowledgeable and friendly ON A CONSISTENT LEVEL! I think people seem to forget IT'S A BUSINESS, they get bombed out busy like the next business,BE PATIENT.... We all have off days, WE'RE HUMAN. BUT OVERALL YOU GUYS ROCK. ????????

I've had a great experience with this location compared to other locations at BioLife! I have never have an issue with the phlebotomist inserting the needle in my arm, like I've had in the past at other locations. Most of the time it was Katelyn who did the procedure for me here. Great work Katelyn!

The workers do to much you sit and wait to be taken down while they laughing and having fun conversations instead of doing their job REDICULOUS!!! MY LAST TIME COMING HERE And the girl names saracha rude as hell she talk too much

I donated and Kate took care of me. She was absolutely amazing and helped me through the whole process. If you donate here, hope that she's the one facilitating your donation and you will have a great experience.

Such a great atmosphere! It is nice to go somewhere that can actually hit my veins on the first time! I love that the phlebotomist dance around with the music and kid with you!!! ????

This place is clean and has a great friendly staff. I have been donating for almost 6 years now with no complaints or complications. I highly recommend donating, it not only helps other people but also puts a little extra cash in your pocket.

My experience with the friendly folks at BioLife have been nothing short of just that quite joyous. The team up there really have it together and make you feel safe. A special shout out to Emma for making me laugh today! Sincerely Connor

Donating at BioLife is such a pleasurable experience! Everyone is so kind. Madison and Kassie are so helpful and make my visits enjoyable. It seems to run very efficiently and I love how knowledgeable everyone is.

Kate is incredible! I've been donating for years and she is consistently the best person to have stick you with a needle! I would choose her every time if I could.

Biolife is a great place to come donate plasma to. They move pretty fast, they make you feel comfortable and welcome you with open arms the entire donation process. I love BioLife and I wouldn't go anywhere else to donate plasma.

Nice friendly staff. Sometimes the wait is a little lengthy but otherwise not bad. Cant be too bad if I come every week just about!!

There is nothing efficient about the check in process at this location. 1 person working the screening area so while there are recheck & new donors, it takes 30 mins to get checked in. Once you get passed this stress, the rest is good. You now get 1 star only because it doesn't allow 0 stars to upload. I'm so tired of coming into this location and it being a 3 hr process. You don't even have chairs for people to sit on while making 25-30 people stand in line to donate! Least efficient location!!!!

I travel across the Southeast US and this BioLife location is at the top! The staff is super nice (shout out to Maddie.) and quick to express the care for all donors. Look forward to returning here.

I just wanted to say it makes a difference when you are being stuck with the needles in your arm and the skin isn't being pulled back bc if not it hurts and it seems like the entire donation process goes by much slower. Anyways, when I go the lady named Cassie is really nice and anytime I have her bring the one who puts the needle in I must say it never hurts, and like I said she's really nice !!

Request Austin for a stick! He is awesome and super friendly. I was annoyed earlier because i was sitting on the bed waiting to be stuck for 25 minutes! And got even more annoyed when people were getting sticked when i came BEFORE them. Austin came over, apologized, made me laugh and smile. I was very close to yelling out for attention but he prevented that. He didn't avoid me like so the other members did, avoiding my eye contact, not saying ?hi or be right with you? AT LEAST ACKNOWLEDGE ME LIKE AUSTIN DID

As a frequent donor at BioLife on Woodruff Road, I can confidently say that Jenny is exceptional. Her expert skill at finding veins makes the donation process remarkably smooth, even for someone with notoriously difficult veins like myself. What truly distinguishes Jenny is her warm and reassuring presence. She takes the time to explain each step, easing any anxiety. During one particularly busy session, I witnessed her maintain a calm and efficient workflow, minimizing wait times for everyone. Moreover, on

Very friendly staff and really great experience. They explained everything thoroughly - each step of the process. Will definitely donate again!

Been going to BioLife for years and they are great! Cassie is always bubbly and makes me feel comfortable! Maggie has been so kind and helpful!

Customer service is amazing. Everyone is very nice and helpful. They try to respect your time and get you in and out

Missed my promotion time frame due to ONE phlebotomist messing up both arms on two seperate donations and then giving me a horrible hematoma the last time I was there that took 2 ? weeks to heal. Just went to go donate again and one of the older ladies said she couldn't take my blood pressure due to my clothing when there was no issues with the 5-6 techs the other time that took care of me when I wore the same outfit and the doctors also didn't have a problem with it. Inconsistent location. Doctors are gre

I came in for an appt. for a physical and to start donating and was sent home because I only ate a mango. No offer of food, or to eat and come back . I will be hopefully making a complaint to management, but I doubt they will care with how I was treated.

I just wanted to say thank you to anyone who donated their plasma you guys saved my life. Was diagnosed with GBS and the only treatment was 5 days of receiving plasma. I was near paralyzed in the hospital it was a huge wakeup call to how fragile we are. My 2 babies would like to thank you. They might of not had a mother without you guys. So thank you.

I have donated plasma for over 5 years and across multiple states/centers. While the BioLife in Greenville is the best plasma donation center in the city, it is the slowest and the staff is hit and miss with professionalism, speed, and skill (unlike other centers, I have had multiple hematomas in Greenville) across the BioLife?s I have donated at. They have been understaffed for multiple years and have cited staffing as their priority and issue. When staffing is still an issue after this amount of time, the

Fantastic facility and experience. Staff was kind, informative and professional. Can't imagine going anywhere else for donations.

I had a great experience today. Tristan was super nice and I got in and out in a hour. I come to the Woodruff because it is more efficient and professional

Update: the last couple months have been rough - hour and a half just to get a bed during busy times. Hard to justify spending the time for the lower pay of late. Staff are amazing but seem understaffed for busy times. Original review: The staff are so friendly and really seem to prioritize your time. There is a short wait every now and then, but the last time I donated i was literally in and out in about an hour. Reliable internet, easy to use app and sign in system, I literally have nothing to complain a

BioLife Greenville SC location has a great staff! No matter how challenging it looks they put forth their best efforts to get business taken care of in a timely manner. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Greenville SC BioLife!

Staff is great at what they do. They are friendly and professional. The facility is very clean and honestly great.

The staff at the Greenville are exemplary. I have never had a problem with them. However, the compensation for my time and blood plasma should be better. The ability and willingness to be a continuous donor should be monetarily compensated. I'm considering whether $40.00 is worth my time or my vehicular expenses.

If you even have a random thought of sneezing, even once, don't bother. If you have even any thought of a "small amount of drainage " in the back of your nostril, don't waste your gas money. My nose is not running nor the least bit stuffy, and my head and chest clear are as a bell! This was a joke!

I donated my 14th time yesterday. Great staff and facility. The donation process is very simple and staff will help guide you through.

Staff is friendly and personable but routinely wait 45-60 minutes after scheduled time before a bed opens up. Need more help!

My physical and first donation appointment went incredibly well. The process was quick and painless, plus the staff was amazing! Shoutout to Lily and Emma ?? My second donation I ended up getting really ill halfway through and so many nurses took such great care of me. They kept me calm and answered all of my questions.

The staff is very accommodating. The center is clean and efficient, I recommend if your considering giving plasma to give here.

I really expect it to be faster since it was my second time. My appointment was at 1pm, but I didn't get out of there till after 4pm. I hope my next visit is quicker. Waiting in line for so long is not enjoyable.

This is an update. I originally had amazing things to say but after many months, it deserves an update. I love the staff, however you are allowing far too many appts at one time and not enough staff. Only 1 person doing the prescreening is not enough. My last donation process took almost 3 hours and I take less than 40 to donate. This update still stands, the prescreening process takes way too long with only 1 person doing it the majority of the time.

When I got there, the lady at the front desk was already meh and definitely seems like she hates her job. Made an appointment to get there and be told that what I ate was not good enough and that I needed to go eat something else because I have allergies So they couldn't give me the snacks they had. I've never had this problem in a donation center before so I was a bit confused and wanted a nurse to explain it to me. The lady at the front seemed very annoyed by that. The nurses were really nice though and t

It was my third time donating and I was supposed to receive $115.00 and only received $65.00 I don't say that to be greedy or complain. Me and my wife lost everything in the hurricane. I'm having to rebuild from nothing. We are living off of my one salary in expensive hotels until we can find a house. Literally we walked four miles to get to BioLife so we would have enough money to afford groceries this week.

Most employees are nice. They are overworked though. However if you are coming here don't believe their time frames. Expect to spend 3 to 4 hours on a 1st donation and 2 hours on returns(or more). You can't be more than 10 mins late for your apt or they send you home, however you'll wait 45 min to an hour after your apt time to even start donating. Very one sided. Example: my apt was at 455, I got there at 445 and it's now 530 and still haven't been setup/stuck yet. After lowering payments for donors we sho

Been coming here for over 6 months the staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable. Katelyn , Maddie , Carmen and Maggie are awesome at what they do !!

Donated consistently for 3 months, did the 8 donations for $800 (first time first month) and completed all donos, then did another 2 months of donating after that. Slowly started to realize they just don't pay enough. Yeah, it's $40 first donation and then $70 the next, but who wants to go sit for an hour or so with a needle in their arm for $40 bucks? Maybe if there were more promos and they paid equal amounts each donation I'd start doing it again, but I don't think they care too. I also felt the BioLife

Very clean place Wonderful staff and they are always respectful and you become friends with them wheather or not you intend to or not

Everyone was very friendly and professional. A very modern and clean place, and I love that it's by appointment only!

Very polite and efficient and everything they do I enjoy the visit we're good how are you home

The staff is always professional and helps set you at ease while giving blood. The facility is clean and comfortable.

I've donated blood at other places for many years, I was very impressed on the service here. Everything was explained well, and all questions answered

The location is very low staffed. It takes about 2 hours from your appointment time, getting pricked to getting into the chair. They only have 24 chairs in the facility. The staff is above and beyond pleasant and they are doing a great job moving donors through, but just be prepared to cut out 3 hours of your day from your appointment time for donating.

I have been a Bio Life donor for a couple of years now and when I first started going it was good. People were nice and the flow was managed pretty well. But over the past year, it hasn't been so great. They are short staffed all the time, most of the workers (not all) seem very disgruntled and over worked, and you feel like cattle when you go in there. It takes so long to donate now. Yes, it's getting towards the holidays, but even before the holidays it was like this. Then. If you answer a question incor

This was my first time at this location. They explain to me want to do, nicely. And I was in and out and no time. Also the people I had were nice & courteous.

Everything is really great except the timing. Everyone needs to schedule an appointment to be able to donate but yet it the center can't really keep up. Why schedule so many people for the same time slot if the center can't clearly handle?

Could be better. Low staff to customer ratio. Longer wait times than other locations.

Amazing staff! As a new donor, it took 2 hours exactly. They are exceptional people and were very kind to me and my dog. They were thorough but did not take their time like other places have in the past. And I really appreciate the cold water for my baby dog! I hope your lap dog lab gives you wonderful hugs and kisses for a long time! Thank you for everything!

If you like waiting in line . This is the place for you! They clearly don't have enough staff . Over an hour and still haven't donated and that takes a hour. What the reason for an appointment? They shouldn't schedule so many people if they don't have the staff or pay more! Last donation for me. Staff are very nice and work hard

Giving 1 star because the facility itself is very clean. HOWEVER, I was a regular donor in 2018. One day, the stick hurt and my arm was aching as I was donating, which is not normal. I alerted the technician and she assured me everything was fine. I told her again when the pain got worse, and she ignored me. By the end of the session my arm was very swollen and I could not straighten it out. Management advised me to go to urgent care and to bring them the bill and they would reimburse me for it. I went to u

Quick, organized, caring facility! Each employee provides the same quality care!

Friendly staff and incredible nurses! Great experience for a good cause.

Madison is always a joy to see and work with. Great attitude and very good at her job.

Everyone is so very nice and helpful. Makes me feel like I could possibly help someone.

Worst plasma center ever. No matter what day it is their line is always backed up. It's always 100 people in line and only one person in the front. Then it's a billion worker in the back. Like do your job and get people in and out. So irritating. Have no clue why I switched from CSL & Freedom. Will most definitely stop coming here. Plus they pay the lowest after you've waited 12hr just to get in the chair while it's a billion works in the building

Ive donated for about 2.5 months. All good but the wait times lately have been increasing. Usually in and out in 1 to 1.5 hours max. The last time I had to leave due to almost an hour wait time to get to the screening desk. Total visit would have been over 2 hours. Plus they just lowered the donantion payout.

Katelyn was awesome she saved my life I will request her every time.

Had my first appointment about 2 weeks ago at which time I disclosed I was on insulin for diabetes. I was told that I couldn't donate that day. But if I took a release to my doctor's office and got it filled out and returned it. It should be fine. I went to the doctor's office dropped off the release went back to the doctor's office drove an hour round trip to get to the second appointment and after arriving at the second appointment. They told me that because I was on insulin I could not detonate that woul

The staff is friendly, they always remember me and I never have any issues.

It is what it is. You don't give them plasma you give them your time. Usually takes about 2 hours per donation. They are usually busy and understaffed. It's respectably clean inside the staff has a tough job and most do it well. I only go every 3 months when new promotions come out not worth my time otherwise. Find a close ATM so you won't pay fees. Just understand what you're doing before you go and it will be fine. Drink water, eat a meal, and know it will be 2 hours long and at the end you get $80.

It's really bad how long it's taking to make a donation. It seems to me that there aren't enough employees. The lines for screening are huge, taking about 1h30 from the moment you arrive until you can sit down to donate. And to make matters worse, every time a new donor arrives, they go to the front. There's no manager to coordinate the flow of the line. It takes almost 4h a day to do the whole process and that's going to become increasingly unfeasible. We need to try to keep current donors too, but it's no
