Love the staff! The screening area staff are awesome! Darlene Mark and Morgan are awesome, so kind and they really seem to like being there. In the back DeeDee are Julia are also great so fast and they never miss my veins. Much appreciated
I absolutely love donating plasma.. this center is great? however, they of one lady that is terrible at sticking people. She has to stick me twice every time? I went in for a simple protein test and she messed that up. She super nice but really needs trained better. I'm on my third attempt to get this test done. If it weren't for this? I would have given a 5 star rating!
I always have an excellent experience these days! I've been donating since the pandemic but took a chunk of time off and recently started up again. I'm always impressed with the uniformity of procedure for every donation and the way people are moved through. The folks in Greenwood work hard, follow procedure, and ensure safety. No one is standing around talking, looking at the phones, or waiting for someone else to do the work. And I don't know what goes on behind the scenes but I've never heard anyone comp
Hannah (blond f/ West Virginia) the manager is always friendly and efficient. She is quick to help others and her demeanor with donors is excellent. She is a loyal employee and every effort should be made to keep her at BioLife.
Great place to donate! My first interaction with the staff and place was very pleasant, professional, and clean. They walked me through everything that would happen and let me know I could always ask for help. I was thanked repeatedly for my donation and was frequently checked on during the process. I'm currently in college so their free WiFi was very helpful for me to donate and complete my math homework.
This place is a joke! There's never enough people to help keep the line down or enough beds there's 20 people ahead of my husband right now waiting for a bed! Let alone how long it takes someone to come hook you up once you're in a bed! I've donated 5 times and all 5 times was nothing but a joke! Why make me set an appointment when you won't see me at my scheduled appointment time? It's a HUGE waste of time personally i make more money dashing then I do donating! I WONT be back and when I'm able to talk my
The scheduling system is easy to use but, it seems to allow too many appointments for the staff to handle. It always takes atleast 2 hours to complete donation. The staff I have encountered have been nice and knowledgeable in their roles.
As a new donor, the staff at the Greenwood location did a great job at educating me in the process, from checking in, vitals and the actual donation. Sometimes, there's not enough staff to move the flow of donors along efficiently, but they do what they can. They're all professional and friendly, which goes a long way. I appreciate them.
They dont let you travel to safe places they want you secured to you exact locations like you dont have a choice or you dont work out of town. But offer you alot of money for your donation if you qualify, obviously this method will work. But what about the people that are out of town and want to help you suck ?? ?? ?? and are not helping people with your restrictions. I went to donate and was rejected without you knowing I had the best blood for others, I could have made a difference. Thats on you seems a
Carla or Carlie, i couldnt see her full name tag, tall blonde girl needs to be retrained on how to talk to people like they are other adults instead of talking down to your donors like they are children who can't understand a normal tone or volume. Completely unacceptable to treat an adult how she treated me.
I've been back at this company for months. And they still haven't gotten more people.. and now they just withhold peoples money from their donations because of their system malfunction. My lawyer is already in touch. And it's not gonna go well for them.
The staff is always super friendly and helpful. They make me comfortable every time I come. And your facility is always clean and smells nice. Keep up the good work. Both with helping people, and keeping us donors comfy! :)
My god is this location SLOW. I don't mean just a little slow. It's without a doubt the SLOWEST BioLife I've ever been. Routinely takes me over 2 hours to donate. Routinely takes me over 30 minutes just to have my biometrics done. The time I'm hooked up to the machine is between 28-30 minutes. Where on Earth does the other 90 minutes go. Once you get through vitals that will have At the most 2 people working it you will probably sit on the bed waiting to be hooked up for 20-30 minutes. Then spend another 20
I haven't been here in like a year, mostly because i got tired of their rookies not sticking me in the right vein the FIRST time so then they would have to do the other arm, and then the first one would get bruised and worms take several days to heal and they would make that mistake multiple visits in a row, Also the wait to get seen was very long, and they don't offer many coupons for donors who have been there a long time, so by that point it wouldn't be worth the hassle of waiting through the long lines
You will wait in line for almost as long as your donation time so plan accordingly. The line will wrap around the patients and the staff will walk by you like you don't exist at all.
Honestly if I could give less stars I would! I don't know where to start , I'm a new donor only been there 5 times . My 6th , they took hours to even give me my payment after they took to much plasma from me ! Is there not a way to flag if your machines are inaccurate? Because me gaining 30 pounds extra should've flagged something before I was stuck donating and extra 60ML of plasma !!!!! I left feeling super uneasy and lightheaded! Luckily my mother is a nurse , I called and explained what happened to her
I'm a new donor for almost a month now and I have no complaints. Everybody has been nice and they answer questions if you have concerns. The staff has been really good about responding to the machines or making sure that I'm comfortable during donations. It gets cold but that's expected take your iron supplements, bring a blanket, and something to entertain yourself.
I'm Dewan W. Thanks extended to Julia. I'm a Red Dot Donor. She's a very skilled and patient Phlabotomist. I appreciate her work.
I used to donate at a different company, and there is no comparison. I was so impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the BioLife staff. They described their procedures in detail, which was a plus for me. The facility was clean, bright and welcoming. I would highly recommend them.
Walked in for my 1st time donor appt. Was greeted. Everything completed in timely manner. Floor staff were amazing!
im not bothering to do so . i have called i have written and i get automated responces. its crazy. i got paid 45 when i called to cancel the time before as my mom was having health issues and said i didnt want to lose the last payment of the 700 and they assured me that i would get it. i did not and the woman in the office they sent me to basically laughed. for every one person you have that is good and kind you have 5 that are not
Pros : clean, staff is friendly Cons : the wait times vary so much. I've had appointments I've been in & out in just over an hour & I've also had days I've been there 3+ hours for a regular donation. It seems like the time slots they have open, more than one person can have it so it seems to back up the lines & makes the wait times much longer. Edit 4/1/25 - my appointment was at 8:45. I got to a bed within 15 mins so approximately (9am) of my appointment but I have been sitting waiting for the donation p
the staff is pretty great and such. the only thing i would improve is the front end. they need more nurses up front and the back end gets backed up pretty frequently. i dont want to sit in a donor chair for an hour and a half and have to ask for someone to get me hooked in. they just need to get priorities straightened out and become more quickly paced with it. shoutout to the one girl who went to greenwood, julia, and jessica for being understanding whenever i come in.
Amazing employees that work hard to make everyone feel safe and healthy. All the staff was very nice, helpful, and attentive.
For a company with 1 billion dollar value and committed to helping others you would think they'd have some intergrity. Went today (Feb 2 2023) and everything was normal extra long checkin and wait time are usual but thats not the main issue today. While getting IV in an associate made an error and unclamped the blue scissor lock before attaching my freshly stuck arm to the machine tubing. This caused a volcano of blood to start pouring from the tube top and all over everything. I stayed calm through the
Everyone is so nice and professional. I feel very comfortable and safe donating plasma here. The building is clean and the process is sterile. I highly recommend this place. And the money is really great too
Greenwood is by far the best bio life around, the employees are more friendly and act as if they really care about you, not just another person in the chair. Although all employees are great, Nora, by far, is my favorite..
One of the worst experiences ever. I was stuck wrong, after I was stuck the plebotomist walked away. The machine continued to stop over and over. I told her something was wrong. She was annoyed and would dig around in my arm and walk away. After several times of this she finally said "I'm going to switch to your other arm" I told her that my other arm doesn't work. She said "if you want paid I need to stick your other arm". She stuck the other arm and instantly I got a hematoma. 2 days after this both of m
Gagandip is extremely unprofessional for a grown nurse and for some reason is continuing to work with a 104? fever with no regard of the patients she sees and gets sick. No reprimand was given as she made me so uncomfortable I didn't want to be alone with her during my physical, telling me "she's not a little 20 year old" referring to my age accusing me of having an attitude with her because I didn't say yes and no ma'am the way she thought I should. Fast clinic. Awful employee and experience.
I've been coming here for a year now. At first it was great. It use to take 2hrs from start to finish. Now it takes 2hr just to get a bed then u lay there for another 30min before they hook up up to th machine. & most of the phlebotomis are new so be ready to get to get stuck with the needle 2 or 3 times & leave with bruises on your arms. The facility is clean but nobody has a clue of what to do. If I ever donate again it will definitely be at another facility.
UPDATE: Even though BioLife (Owner) responded to this review and asked me to reach out, I have 3 times now and they haven't responded. So I doubt it was genuine. I went to this location to donate blood for the first time about a month ago. Long process, but understandable. Staff was nice and respectful. They ask you a LOT of personal questions about your history - again, understandable. They tell you to answer everything honestly to the best of your ability. I told them about my history of drug addiction.
Morgan, Jessica, and Mark are my favorite employees they are always the kindest and most passionate about their job they are the reason why I continue to come here
Every time I come here, service at the front is fine. Once it's time to get hooked up and actually donate, takes AT LEAST 30 minutes. Why? They already have my paperwork and it STILL takes at least 30 mins to get hooked up to the machine to start the donation process. I'm over it! I will be forwarding my complaint to headquarters. RIDICULOUS! I would give them 0 stars if I could
Show up early to your appointment and still have to wait 2 hours to get hooked up. Place is stupid when it comes to scheduling. Should be shut down
I love donating at BioLife. The facility is always clean and the employees are very professional and friendly. Shout out to Kelsay for always doing a good job sticking my weird side vein..lol and remembering my name, she is the best.
First off, they are very concerned that everyone have a good experience! That says a lot. Every staff member that I met was friendly and helpful. The whole place is very organized! Expect to be there for a few hours on your first visit. Also, bring a blanket if you get cold easily.
5:19 BioLife Plasma Services 8 5GUC .ll 7 7% More like 2.5 stars. The staff is friendly and trained enough. The appointments can make the wait time go quicker than other plasma places which is why I drive 45 to come here. And the place is clean. The problem is the inconsistency is incredibly frustrating. They advertise a $850 promotion for donating within 30 days and you get here and it is only $700. Then it appears that they do everything in their power to not allow you to donate the 8 times in a month it
I wanted to give some time to say something good I have noticed after coming here for a few months. The supervisor Mary carrys herself so well. I have noticed a major difference in staff when she is there compared to when she is not. With her there everyone seems happier and a thousand more professional. There is a Stark difference. I really believe it's due to the impeccable work environment this girl has created. I have worked in management for a long time and this makes me so happy to see.
Wait times are becoming a problem. Pushing new donors ahead of current donors is nice for them. However, when several are pushed to the front of the line at once it's not treating your loyal donors very well. Please try to think of a better way to do this; my wait was extended an hour as new donors were continually put in the front of the line. Your employees are wonderful but over worked. Please hire new people so your check in process doesn't take so long
I tried so hard to hold it but 22 minutes after donating, no one unhooked me. I begged like 4 people to help but new donors get priority. Well, I unzipped my pants and peed on the floor. Sorry.
When it comes to the people who work here, I have zero complaints. I have not had one bad experience interacting with any employees. I do however have a complaint about the system they use for their donors. I have never donated plasma in my life so this is a new scenery for me. I am on my 4th donation as a new donor. Here is my problem with their system. I have came in on a day when it was so busy the intake line has been around their wall. I made it to the front of the line and got to the back. I sat there
Last 3 donations without a hitch. It may take a while but that's anywhere especially if short staffed. They know what they are doing and they are watching for any issues. Figuring out how to organize the floor on a full day is masterful. They made sure my account information was corrected and I was able to get to my next appointment after resolved. Customer service aspect is a 10. Only thing I would say is maybe schedule less people during a slot but then I would never get in. It is because they fit you in
Great experience, Great Worker's. ?? On my 15th donation here and never experienced any problems. Has helped me out so much to get some extra money as a single mother of two.
I'm trying to figure out who I contact to file a formal complaint about my experience at one of your donate centers. On November 22nd I completed my physical with my first donation. I had let the nurse know that I had donated at another center 3-4 days before donating there. She said it was fine and I passed the physical. She scheduled me for my second donation two days later. I donated and all was good. When I came into donate the second time I filled out the questions and was told to speak to a nurse. She
Did one of the promotions for a month and I have nothing but praise for the people and the place. Carly, up front, always seems on top of her game. I've been stuck my Mary, Julia, Devon, Paige, and Kelsey and all were fantastic, barely felt a thing. Everyone is always pleasant even when things are busy and I can't speak highly enough of everyone I've interacted with. Tends to be a bit cold inside so bring a blanket with you if you need it but all around, great place to donate. Would recommend.
Staff is always friendly, even on busy days they always take the time to ask you how your donation went and if you had any problems, which they'll immediately address. Special shout-out to Hannah, she's amazing and always friendly. I wish i knew more staff names so i could shout them out, everyone there is wonderful.
Giving a shout out to Kelsey and Hannah! I've donated 8x and everyone who has seen me has been awesome. Hannah was very friendly and great conversation while hooking my arm up and Kelsey is very gently with the stick and so far has placed the needle without having to fish around. I've had several place the needle to deep but so far Kelsey has got it first try every-time.
Everyone has always been great to me. And they are very helpful about any information you need.
Friendly staff. Jessica is always very nice and quick at doing her job
The last several times I've been in to the center I've been in and out within an hour. The employees are friendly and efficient! The last employee I had was exceptionally good! I've been going to the center for the last 5 years but this is the first time I've taken time to give a review. Delsi was amazing! She did an incredible job! She was very good at making me feel comfortable and I never felt a thing!
I love helping people especially kiddos so I will donate for a long time. Thank you BioLife Great Staff and Compassionate to their Donors ?? Shay is one my Favorite girls love her ?? Thank you Maxine for the Snickers!! Love to you all ??
A little slow getting stuck to start drawing blood, and even slower to get the needle out of your arm when your done. Overall, not a bad experience for the money.
wasted my time. she said she couldn't get my blood pressure through my shirt. I offered to take it off she said no. it kind of seems like they'll find any excuse to get out of doing work because it's my third visit and there's always some sort of problem. also they lie on the website about their promotions it said 850$ then when I signed up it said 800, then when I got to the location they said 700 for 7 visits. which is the same as everywhere else 100.00 to donation
Would never count on this location to answer the phone. I can't get into my account so I have to call to make appointments or drive all the way out there and set an appointment for a later time during the same day which is what I always end up doing because nobody ever picks up the phone. If you are a female come dressed like you are going to high school because they dress code you and will turn you around if you wear a crop top with spaghetti straps. Only plus is they have clean bathrooms. Staff have attit
I'm a man and asked why my plasma was green unlike Everyone else around me being yellow. The worker said that it's because of my estrogen levels...huh?.? As soon as I'm done with my 700 dollar coupon I'm not coming back because of that...who would humiliate someone like that without anything backing that theory or research being able to provide that same answer....BS answer to embarrass someone
18 hours to receive payment for my plasma and time and normally it's on the card before I get to my car after donating, very disappointed and checking into other centers that value their donors
For being a first time donor the experience was horrible. I wanted to give back and help others but the lady in the front desk made that difficult. She claimed that I had the sniffles and the breakfast I ate was apparently not hearty enough. I felt honestly that she wasn't sincere on the things she was claiming. I will never go back and never recommend anyone there.
They were busy but the place seemed to flow effortlessly. I appreciated how polite and kind everyone was, despite being busy and working diligently. The staff was very thorough in all of their explanations and cautions, and I was impressed by how well I was treated. I've completed 8 visits now and can attest to their integrity. They're usually pretty busy, so make sure to bring something to do or read.
The staff at the greenwood location is awesome!!! I wouldn't want to go anywhere else!!!
The overscheduling is getting ridiculous. It should be only 1 person per scheduled time. Not 5+. Definitely when they are so unorganized and having a security guard do their front work. Guaranteed if you come you will be sitting in your car in the cold wasting more money on gas. For people who wait longer then a hour should be double compensated.
The staff is always incredibly friendly, but my last experience was a little disappointing as the team seemed understaffed. I had to wait at a station for over 30 minutes before I could get stuck. This was very much out of the normal experience. And while it took much longer than usual, I will say that Alex was incredibly friendly and helpful.
I haven't even donated yet and I already don't want to go back. First time I went for a physical with donation. When I saw the nurse she told me I looked pale and asked if I had eaten. I had come from breakfast to the location. She asked about surgeries I'd had. I told her I had my fallopian tubes removed. She asked if I had children. What does that have to do with donating plasma? My status as a parent is none of your business. I was then deferred because she didn't ?have a drop down? for what one of my su
Staff were friendly and helpful. I felt important and all my questions were answered before I even asked. My first time donating took about 3 hours to complete all aspects. My second donation took about 1 1/2 hours from start to finish. By donating plasma I am able to help other people and pay my car payment which is a great feeling!
Thought this was a great place but it's not. Half the people screening and sticking are new and the new phlebs are not that great. The nursing and screening staff are not consistently trained. You come in one day and pass and the next day they turn you away despite passing you in the same condition. Maybe I'm just not bright enough, but one girl lets me through, I have some scabs on my arms. The next time the lady says no because of the scabs and I should wait for them to heal because the staff might get bl
Why are there appointment times if there's always going to be a line 10+ people deep. Save yourself an hour per visit and go to CSL.
One of the best plasma donation centers in Indy. I have been to several. Hannah is awesome. Love it when she's there to help out. Julia is awesome as well I have been coming to the greenwood location for about two years now. 90% of the staff members are awesome at their job. But there is a few that don't need to stick people. There is this one who is know to give you a hematoma . The last time she stuck me she gave me one that took almost four weeks to heal. And just before she stuck me she told another phl
Everyone is always so kind & professional! The entire process is so quick & easy. Any questions you have, the staff here are always quick to answer. The staff is always welcoming and accommodating.
I have been going to this BioLife since November 2017. I love the staff there! When I first started, there was a lot of turnover, but they've had a lot more consistency the last couple of years. It seems to be run much better. I am considered a ?red dot? (harder to stick) and there is always a seasoned employee there to get me started on my donation. I so appreciate that! specific shout out to Kelsey, Melisa, Julia, Darlene, Inderjet, Hannah, Dee Dee, Maxine, and all the nurses!! (these are the names of the
The front desk lady Carly is very friendly and goes above and beyond for people. She is amazing and I just wanted to leave a good review for her and praise her for her good hard work every time I come in there she is very friendly and goes out of her way for all of the clients who come in and she's a very sweet, friendly outgoing person and she really is always in a great mood and has very excellent vibes and it is a pleasure every time I come in there and see her face because she really uplifts my spirits
Everyone was nice, thorough and accomodating for my first visit. The only downside is that I was not able to donate after being poked twice.
I enjoy this place a lot. Shout out to Melissa, Alex and Julia for being the 3 best employees I know in there. They are amazing at their job and friendly as ever. I trust them unconditionally when I go in.
The staff people are wonderfully attentive, although they don't treat everyone equally. At least, not Alex. If he happens to know you, you'll have his full attention. However, if he don't know you, he doesn't even look at you! He sure was talking to everybody else! I kind of felt I was interrupting his social hour.
The facility is clean and the people are friendly enough. However this review would be higher if there was a way that every tech had access to individual donor information as to how to locate and hit the vein. Some techs have no trouble, other techs struggle. Need more consistency
I'm in and out in an hour?super fast! Also everyone is very friendly
I have a great experience every time I go to this location. The wait time is a little longer then I care for but you can see the staff are doing the best they can with what they got. Seems understaffed. I think her name is Kelsey, she's one of the managers on the floor. She's amazing!!! She deserves raise. She has a great attitude and works very well with her staff. Very professional.
This place seems good at first, but once you're settled in, you see the cracks The staff if friendly and the facility is clean, I'll give them that. But everyone is either young or inexperienced. And it seems like there's lottle communication or proper training happening. I spent 18 year on and off through another company and had one solid issue. But I've been coming to Biolife for less than 3 months and have had my arm blown out, and been on a machine where the tubing had a hole and spilled blood. I had
If it would?ve have let me put 0 stars I would have. Jada just missed my vein?.No one realized what was wrong until halfway through my donation. My donation was on 04-15-24 and my arm still looks like this. Everyone seems clueless. Not worth it even with the promo for extra money
I am a return donor. I stopped donating because the wait times were ridiculous. Staff was overworked and frustrated. It now looks like there have been some measures put in place to streamline the donation process and keep the staff from being completely overwhelmed. My donation time has significantly been reduced. Previously I was frustrated with being stuck by people who clearly did not know how to find a vein. I have had two very successful, timely donations. The donation process seems to be much improved
my first visit took awhile but was expected. Very nice staff and coming again soon!
I gave it 2 starts because the ppl was very nice and the building was clean. But my issue is that I didn't receive my last promo payments. It says I received but yet it shows it never went on my card and was withdrew in Chicago when I live in Indiana. I'm still waiting for someone from BioLife to call me back. I had to report a fraud on the card and wait 30 to 45 to receive my money. I donate to get the money to help with bills now I have to wait 45 days to receive my last $100, and not one person from Bio
Horribly inconsistent. I always come in the morning within an hour of them opening. Sometimes there is absolutely no line and I'm out in an hour, sometimes there's a few people waiting which can add an additional 10-30 minutes, and other times (like today) you can be there for an hour before the actual donation process even starts. I've been told over and over that it's because they're understaffed but when you have an appointment-based system and I'm coming in right after you open, it should NEVER get as b
Update on my last review because obviously someone is listening. The screening process is super quick now. One lady up there she is Indian I believe (sorry I don't know your name but I tell you all the time) They have started doing better some days, but can be so much more better, there biggest problem is in the back when it comes to the beds some are slow as heck. It takes me 30 minutes or longer to get stuck every time. In 30 minutes I could be close to done so the next person can come, but they go off to
I saw the 800 your first month donation offer and thought it'd be a great way to pay for an upcoming vacation. Not worth it, 1st visit the nurse thought I needed to eat more and rescheduled me for the same day. Come back and as we're going over my list of medications the nurse said I had to get paperwork filled out by doctor. None of this was an issue, I went back today after getting the paperwork and now I can't donate if I take my medication before I come in and because I asked for a tissue to blow my nos
Facility is VERY VERY clean. The staff (Especially Rachel) were very friendly! She went above and beyond to answer any questions and explained the process to a T. During the donation the staff walk around and ask if you're okay (your health is there #1 concern as donating can be a lot of the body) All in all 10/10!! For a 1st time donor, I will definitely be back to this location!
Only thing to raise it to 5 stars is if I can ever get them to answer the phone.
I enjoyed the conversation the phlebotomist there are awesome never had an issue my favorite employee is Emily
Has an incident today while donating and the staff was awesome. They made sure I was taken care of and wouldn't let me leave until I was feeling ok. I was impressed with how quickly they responded and their concern for my welfare. It made me feel confident in returning.
DeeDee is the best lady working the machines without a doubt. She does circles around some of the other workers, and she is the best when it comes to the jab. I have large, prominent veins, but I've had some uncomfortable experiences when it comes to the large gauge needles. DeeDee does it so well that I don't even feel it most times. She's a professional, and I always enjoy being in her section during a visit. The center as a whole is efficient and runs well with little time wasted waiting around. Several
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
