Now I'm not the type to leave a review, but I will say this Grace does an awesome job at sticking. I've been stabbed multiple times by multiple people and INow I'm not the type to leave a review, but I will say this Grace does an awesome job at sticking. I've been stabbed multiple times by multiple people and I can tell you without a certainty gray stabs you the nicest. Been to a lot of sinners in my day, but this one is the way to go if you're looking for a good stick let Grace stab you with a knife!
Please have the required amount of staff so that there isn't a 3.5 hour wait for the physical. My appointment was at 5 pm. I walked out of there at 9:15 pm. Staff members were standing around in groups talking, one nurse to do all of the physicals, it took way longer than necessary. And it might be a good idea to have a system in place to maintain the order in which the donors are in line for the physicals I will say though, that a couple of the staff members were very nice, apologetic, but didn't do much t
Now that I finally have time, I have been able to start donating plasma again. I looked at all the locations near me in Killeen, and I decided to go with BioLife Plasma in Harker Heights. This was literally the best possible decision. The facility is conveniently located with a HUGE parking lot. The building is clean, modern, and has a very intuitive design. But the best part? The employees here are by far the nicest people I have ever interacted with in a medical capacity. Everyone is so cheery and kind, a
Honestly really done with the attitude I get from these people. See the managers are very understanding and some of them were there before they were managers themselves. Those are the ones I had great attitude now the new ones they hired just stuck up like this redhead lady there for no reason I don't even know why but she seems to just have this vulgar attitude every time I go in and it's not just towards me I see it and I honestly didn't appreciate her response I mean come on. There was a huge problem wit
I truely love this place. Walking in, I'm greeted by the wonderful Melanie. She is so nice and welcoming and I love them for this. The process is fast from the start to finish. I like this place so much, I wanted to leave my work from home job to work here. I snapped out of that real quick but never the less, I love biolife!
I've been donating plasma for approximately 8 months now (here and there) at the 875 W Central Texas Expy location. Every time I go in the facility, the entire staffing department is incredibly great. Today as I sat in the chair donating, I notice not 1 but 2 people having some medical issue. Without a second thought Ms Rep-C came over and handle the situation with such expertise. Not only did she handle that situation with confidence, she also taught one of the new staff members how to handle a that medica
This place seriously sucks. The customer service here is terrible. They never greet you as you come in, which isn't that big of a deal. But, even the technician have terrible attitudes and are talking with their coworkers instead. The folks taking your blood are decent and mostly ensure that you're comfortable. However, they need more practice when poking people. At my last appt. the technician couldn't find my vein properly, ultimately busting my vein when she went in too deep. They tried my other arm but
They deleted my review. I had 3 different physical appointments scheduled and each time they said nurses didn't work those days even after a manager scheduled the last one. Half of their staff smokes weed and comes in smelling like a skunk and the place isn't cleaned properly. This place needs to be investigated ASAP!!
Turns people with appointments away. Rude. Vitals and iron were fine but they were running behind and turned 2 people away that also had appointments just because they took walk ins over appointments. The back staff is great the front staff is a joke. Save your energy and go to the donation place in Copperas Cove.
Ms.Nakia was wonderful. When she hooked me up I didn't even feel it and she was very vocal about how much I was donating and my comfortability. She made assuring statements that hadn't been stated to me before about the service. She was Awesome!!!!!
I REALLLYYYYY don't like making bad reviews. But I have to for this experience. It was my first time here. Right when I sat down, the woman who was taking my vitals, Kirsten, seemed completely uninterested. I greeted her with a ?hello? and she responded with ?show me your arms.? Which I get it, maybe just not a big talker. As she was doing my vitals she said to the worker next to her ?I can't deal with these smells.? Which made me feel like she was talking about me. Even if she was speaking generally, it
This was my 1st time donating plasma and it was an amazing experience. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable; explained the entire process from beginning to end. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile and made to feel comfortable throughout the whole process. Thank you to the team members at Bio Life.
Shot out to Melanie, who is a wonderful vital sign taker, very professional, and very knowledgeable about her job. She is always in great spirits, and always has a welcoming and inviting demeanor
Staff is amazing and courteous. They do an amazing job taking care of donors. Love coming here! Keep up the good work!!
My first time donating in years and I would like to say thank you to Nurse Francis and also Debbie ! They were amazing, both had great attitudes and made first time there very welcoming!
A special thank you to Lily who greeted me as I took my seat then Dajuan for his beautiful personality to make me feel welcomed. Grace and Frances for checking on me during my visit to ensure I was comfortable. You all rock!!
I absolutely love coming here and seeing all the welcoming faces, I looooove Melanie that works up front. She greets u and will have a actual conversation with you, she's outstanding
They never answer the phone and never call you back. They take more plasma from you than every other plasma center up to 1000ML compared to every other donation center doing 800ML yet give the least in monetary compensation. They change the amount you get almost every week so its never consistent. They only want to pad their own pockets instead of properly compensating the donors. Other donation centers compensate you by at least 30 to 40 dollars more than them.
A very efficient and friendly staff! Definitely one of the best donating experiences I've had. They get busy and a little backed up but that's to be expected.
Every time I give a donation my experience is so beautiful the staff are so helpful and pleasant they don't mind going the extra mile to make you feel comfortable at the facility in Harker heights TX. The only thing is that monetary compensation is so low for continuing regular donors and they don't have any incentive promotions or coupons for their donors toearn extra money
I have made 7 donations in the past 4 weeks. 4 total Phlebotomists. 2 were experienced pros. No issues. 2 were inexperienced Phlebotomists. They had issues administering needles. Didnt go in cleanly. Blood not flowing. Needed to switch arms. Needed to adjust needles several times. Bruising and pain after donations. I understand new employees and training. But these needs to be someone overseeing newer team members. These negative experiences may me hesitate to donate. And must for others.
Shoutout to Melanie at BioLife Plasma .. always friendly and professional. Today she was exceptional .. running three tasks at once to comply with regulations . Happy to give her her flowers
Multiple employees do NOT change their gloves between patients and when doing things at the counter. Today I unfortunately had to. Point out to the front desk staff they hadn't changed thier gloves for the three patients in front of me. Upon asking her to swap them I was given attitude and sucking teeth. No greeting or apology. Very dismissive! .
I have been donating plasma for over 10 years, and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. The staff repeatedly left donors unattended while hooked up to machines, creating an unsafe and negligent environment. To make matters worse, after taking my plasma, they tried to withhold my compensation, which added unnecessary stress to an already unpleasant experience. No donor should ever have to deal with this level of incompetence and lack of care. I strongly advise others to avoid this center at all
At one point BioLife would allow patients to get their blood pressure done first prior to the finger prick. These last two days I've been unable to donate because of my heart rate. Everybody pain level is different. When asked can my blood pressure be taken first I get told no. BioLife need to go back to their old ways, and allowing the patients to have a choice !
Everyone should donate save a life and get paid to do it, l really love how friendly staff is Melanie is always smiling checking to see if my day is good, I really appreciate the good staff they have at this center, I have been to other centers and none of them compare to this one, and honestly the fastest center i have ever been to
Melanie at the harker heights location is very friendly and efficient! I love working with her when I come in for my appointments.
Melanie is awesome always bright smiling and have such a great spirit. Thanks for your excellent customer service
Good staff and clean and quick even when it's super busy. The only reason it's 2 stars is because I was late by 2 minutes and they told me to reschedule when at a different bio life center they let still sign in.
It goes by quicker than I thought. Staff seem genuine! So far with those that have helped me during the donation process. They were always checking up on me. Making sure I was okay. And they were good at what they do. It was quick and painless.
Had a great experience. Lily took my vitals. She is very sweet and nice. She seems to enjoy her job and makes me feel very comfortable. Isaiah stuck me with the needle when I went back to donate. He is very professional and cares about his patients. Always kind and has a great attitude.
Got deferred from donating for 8 weeks because they stuck me 4 times and couldn't get it right and then they weren't able to return the red blood cells. So I'm basically screwed 3 ways from Sunday. Some people do rely on this little bit of money to survive in these times of insane inflation. Now I'm out $1,040 and I'm livid. I got paid for today for the visit but I gotta wait 8 weeks. I told them I'm not ever coming back there. I'll go to another center. Why should I suffer because they screwed up? Pure inc
They failed to mention a requirement of a valid drivers license or ID. I drove all the way out from Georgetown to get denied. Pretty ridiculous. Whatever you do don't bring an expired license. I learned the hard way.
Every time iam there Ms.Rhepsey has always checked up on me to see that I'm doing OK. When she sets up taking the plasma it is always very professional.
Easy, straightforward process. Even in high volume hours, employees are efficient throughout the whole process.
These young ladies have displayed greatly that it's more important to them to ask other coworkers about their nail tech and prices instead of completing the the screening. I was waiting and I had to clear my throat to get there attention yet their was a line behind me and nobody being screened. Temple location is never like this. Too unprofessional! It's okay to have fun at work but to not do your job because of it is over the top.
There machines are the fastest so far. I've donated at multiple locations like CLS plasma and Grifols Plasma for 4 years with no issues and minimal damage. While I like the environment and everybody is nice, my arms are getting destroyed here. Bruises and bumps after every donation. Hopefully there will be improvement, but time will tell. I'll give it a couple more weeks!
Rico did my draw. I've come multiple times he's been so kind every time, he's very much my favorite person to do my draw, I asked him to do my draw today and since he had open beds gladly took me. I love the entire atmosphere of this location I would recommend him and the location to anyone.
I always have a good experience here! The staff is always friendly, and they have a good amount of staff that keeps lines moving. The place is clean. The music list slaps. Truly, people only have issues here bc they don't do what they're supposed to beforehand (drink water, eat, even a sugar boost helps).
i donated for the first time today and i gotta say, it was a great experience. all of the employees were so friendly, and professional. every bed, chair, and piece of equipment was cleaned directly after its last use. i didn't hear or whiteness them treat anyone rudely even when patients were upset for being ineligible to donate that day. they were quick and to the point, providing you with all the information you need to get started comfortably. what i appreciated most was that you could tell they we're g
Thank you for everything you all do! Everyone is professional and keeps things moving. Melanie helped me several times today and kept my spirits high while not being a morning person!lol
This place , the atmosphere, the friendly faces, and the service really make your experience there ( Harker Heights) . Keep up the work...
The staff are courteous, and the overall process is efficient. However, I was concerned to observe that the screening technicians did not change their gloves between donors. I had to specifically request this, which raises serious concerns about hygiene practices. Handling blood samples from one individual and then proceeding to the next without changing gloves compromises basic sanitary standards. This practice is not only unsanitary but also poses potential health risks. I strongly recommend improving adh
This place is unfair and don't care about us one bit!! They would rather go home early than allow their last 2 appointments in the door... then give us attitude like WE are an inconvenience.... not only was I lied to but I was also permanently Deferred bc I got upset at the manager that lied.... the disrespect was real.... we were not the problem... shutting down everything early was the problem! We both got there within out 10 min grace period.... but they locked us out!! The managers had no type of proper
Rico, really took his time with me, he tried on a arm that nobody would touch.. he explains things and does not get frustrated. He was very patient to somebody who doesn't like veins or blood and is nervous. He really makes the patient feel comfortable coming from a person who is always nervous when donating. Someone who can make you feel relax in uncomfortable setting is a great feeling!!
Although it is an easy process to start it is really time consuming just getting into a donation station. Usually takes anywhere from half an hour to an hour just to get sat into a station then it's another half hour to get hooked up. Just a lot of hanging around by the techs. Then comes the waiting to be unplugged last donation I waited about 30 minutes to be unhooked. There have been some donations that only last an hour and a half from entering to exiting but most donations I'm spending at least 2-3 hrs
First timer today. It took longer than I mentally prepped for, but that's okay. Safety and thoroughness are paramount. As a (now) retired former primary healthcare provider and nursing program professor, it's important to me to give back. And yes, the payment is a nice add-in. Very impressed with the whole process, esp. my intake nurse, and my phlebotomist. Well done, you all! Edited 10/22: Francis was my nurse. He's great!
9.22.24 First time tried donating. Place looked like Monday morning at the DMV with the exorbitant wait times and rude/unprofessional/unbothered staff members! I arrived at 11 for my 11:20 appointment. Time goes on, I complete a questionnaire and physical and I get in a donors chair at just about 14:00. It wasn't until I had been at this facility for 3 hours that I was told that one of my arms had veins that were too small to donate. Seriously!? 3 hours of my life wasted/all in vain. A vein check should be
Good experience and very friendly staff, the donation changed from $120 - $125 a week for two (2) donations. On an honest scale of 1 to 10, l rate my overall experience at a 7.5 because the average time to donate depending on how busy and the time of day can be 75-100 minutes. The cost of a good diet that the donation recommends, fuel to travel, and general recovery from the donations makes me eat more and consume more electrolyte beverages that cost $$$. I spend around $80 - $90 a week out of my donation o
Readjusted the needle too many times after scratching me before the initial stick. Super busy & usually attentive, but not today. In pain after adjusting the needle, pressure during returns (because of placement), and took way too long to remove the needle after the final return-after multiple people knew I was in pain. I'm aware it's part of the process-but this is the worst this has been. Disappointed.
Melanie is great everytime I come here. She makes my day everytime I come and is very professional
The staff are good but the center has increased the amount they take and the speed that they take it causing high return pressure making your visit longer that it previously was. This never happened until they decided to start doing this.
Most of the employees that work there seem to hate their job. They have no compassion and a blank expression on their face. When you ask them a question they seem annoyed. When the center opened at least they were engaging with the patient now they just there and annoyed. If you have no compassion and 0 customers service skills please don't work in the medical field.
I give plasma because it's another way of helping people. Although I'm rewarded financially it doesn't come close to the reward I feel in my heart from giving to those in need. I pray for those who are in need and also for myself that I will continue to be healthy to help others
Clean and friendly staff, but the wait times are horrible. I leave at LEAST 2 hours after my appointment time every donation. My appointment was at 2:35, got here at 2:30, writing this post while STILL donating (4:30 PM) My donation times are usually 45 min, so be prepared to wait AT LEAST an hour on just getting a seat.
Melanie and Christian really went out of their way to help me when all the computers were occupied and I had to be checked in.
They constantly lower the rates .. while plasma remains extremely important.. & this center never answers the phone.. customer service is terrible... go somewhere else like freedom plasma they pay & treat u way better..
I have been trying to get assistance with a complaint I have been trying to file against the center?s assistant manager Marbeya or ?Beya? on 08/25/2024. My donation was at 12:50 and delt with the said assistant manager. She was assigned to the bay I was in. It took 20 minutes for her to stick me after being seated after waiting 2 hours from when I got to BioLife, because she was taking her sweet time talking to different people. Even stuck another doner that got seated after me and by the time she stuck me,
Most times i am happy with my visits but i forgot to mention that i was almost denied because of an error on my record. Apparently, someone put a note that EMS was called on me when I never had EMS called for me. Kudos to Nurse Francis for checking it out for me. Had he not verify it, it wouldve been a wasted time.
There are some skilled attendants and not so skilled attendants that leave my needle insertion points red or bruised. While this is for the good of those who need the plasma, I count on the promotions to pay for school. Two times now I have not been able to receive the second and greatly increased compensation due to the listed problem. I'd be satisfied to earn $75 a week and allow my arm 6 days to reduce the bruising that occurss. Now I'm only getting $40 with the unskilled attendants. There should be a c
everybody there is wonderful but there taking more plasma for you then what they use to and alot of people been having problems just feel they can do a lot better paying if there taking more plasma from us they do make billions off are plasma just saying........
I've been coming here for 1 year already. I observe what employees are talking a lot, and joking among themselves. I guess there's nothing wrong with that but they should pay More attention to their patients. It is very unprofessional at times. Reese is quiet but very friendly & professional, she does what she's suppose to do and keeps it going. I requested her today & she did a super awesome job??????. We need more people like her.
This place was the worst. Honestly I have donated before and don't mind but this staff here. They are so short handed it ain?t funny. The workers didn't come to work to gossip side chat or speak in Spanish in front of patients as if they don't understand. Then with short staff comes also unorganized work setting. Nobody could properly tell me what was next or where to go. It was constant side convo with staff and not enough moving. I even Heard a patient state ?are you even going to change gloves in between
Alexis is the best! so much patience and so warming! Very professional. I will say tho, whoever is in charge of how many donors are scheduled is not doing right by their employees. If you see only so many people are working that day, only so many should be scheduled. These employees are doing their best. The lines and wait time are not their fault.
They had me waiting for over an hour and kept taking people before me, giving me attitude when I asked what was taking so long and when they finally took me to a room, they denied me even after I explained the situation. 1st and Worst experience I've ever had donating plasma or at least trying too.
Update: FIVE STARS on second visit. I was in and out in an hour. THREE STARS for first visit. 05/09/23 First time donor today and found the location to be very busy, but most of the staff was friendly and personable. Everyone seemed to get along well with each other and were pleasant despite how busy they were. They kept everything very clean and constantly kept up with sanitizing surfaces, changing gloves, etc. Very well kept facility. Actual donation time was under an hour and they took very good care of
You wait all day to be seen then you wait another day to get your money will never go again every place I've been like this I never had to wait more then an hour to get paid
Unpleasant. The atmosphere is very uncomfortable. The vitals intake is right in the middle of the building as soon as you enter. Some proper dividers would go a long way in making you feel less exposed to the bustle around you. It was impossible to get my bpm in an acceptable range being in the middle of everything. The line management is also very awkward. It doesn't flow at all. Also, why make people stand against a wall until a bed opens up? Benches against the same wall would be helpful and would make
Every time I go to BioLife everyone is super nice, however the reason for my 3 stars review is because I was on a promotion. I had a sick child and chose not to spread his germs by going to give at that time. So I explained the situation and asked them if they could extend my promotion so that I could continue to donate. But they told me they could not do that unless it was a mistake on their part. I asked the question during my intake process and they said they would be happy to work with you if things hap
Very professional and explain everything I needed to know very thoroughly. 1st time donorThank you So, I've been going for the pass couple and, now I see why they can't keep anyone. And, it was a line to see 1 nurse which it was a problem with the computer and they had like 10 people including me just to tell me I did t sign out. What was that about. The manager NEVER came to speak with me. Very disappointed
They ok it's always the same low fee and they never do any bonus could be better and worker who stock are very non chalant and will leave an go work on other donors in the middle of helping you
WARNING: Avoid this place at all costs! I participated in their $800 donation offer and encountered numerous issues, suggesting a pattern of problems: 1. Inexperienced staff: Many employees look like clueless children, neglecting patients to discuss their weekend plans or what bar they're going to after work. 2. Excessive wait times: Unreasonable wait times. My first time donating I was there for 4.5 hours. The following donations were still 2-3 hours. One time I was 5 minutes late and they told me I could
Sometimes waits are long. Employees seem to hate their lives. They are weird about their closing time. They tell you, that you have a five min grace period. If you have a 7 pm appointment and you show up at 7:02 they will randomly lock their door and try to turn you away. I think it depends on who's working. Why do you have 7pm appointment slots if you are closed at 7pm?
I've always had great experiences here and everyone definitely cares how you're feeling to make sure you can donate safely. A special shout out to Reese today because she was careful with my vein that darts left so it can be difficult to stick. She called over someone to make sure the needle was in the vein at the right angle so it wouldn't blow or have any other issues. When I was done she made sure the wrapping was not too tight. She also made me feel super comfortable and we had a great conversation. I u
Update: one of the female nurses are extremely rude and unfriendly, I already have major anxiety and it didn't help. I didn't come back for months. Everyone has been super friendly but the waits for vitals and everything else is ridiculous and that's huge problem. Taking 2 hours to donate? No I'm not a new donor. That's insane. And the workers are so sweet but take their time for everything knowing damn well they are backed up. As I'm typing this I'm STILL waiting in a bed that I also had to wait for and
I had to take a physical and had to wait about 40 minutes then the physical took around 20 minutes. I believe it shouldn't take that long to do this.
Its been a good experience. Staff is always nice and they don't hesitate to answer any questions or concerns brought up. Yes, it does take time, but I personally think it's worth it.
I been coming here for almost a year and there is seem to be always short of technicians. And please don't take the wrong because they doing amazing job but some technicians need to stop talking to much to the donors and focus on other donors when they done wit their donation instead of taking their time having a full conversation. I am not saying don't communicate it. Today my technician was Reese and she focus no just me but everyone in their line. That's the professionalism will keep donors coming back
Extremely understaffed. I waited 3 hours just to get stuck. What's the point in having appointments if it's going to take so long anyways. I've never had to have such a long wait like today. Usually you're waiting a while but 3 hours?! And when you're finally put on a bed there's no system. Other people that got there after me got stuck before me. Jasmin in specific was just annoyed and you could tell. I understand they're busy but they can't be that busy if the employees are standing around and laughing an
Technicians are great, but management sucks. Lines are super long and wait time ridiculous all because they do not want to hire new staff.
As a consistent donor they should definetly treat us with more respect! Well every time before your donation you have to answer a questionnaire. If you answered a question ?wrong?, you have to talk to a nurse! I literally answered one question wrong by accident but nobody took care of it! They rather took care of new donor appoinments instead of getting rid of that ONE wrong answer which literally took 1 minute afterwards! They literally let me wait for over an hour!! Biolife in Harker heights Texas is not
Reese was amazing always has a smile on her face, moves with a purpose and very up beat. I can tell she enjoys her job. She is very people friendly. Reese is also very knowledgeable and knows what she is doing. Not every one can stick a person with thick scar tissue with ease. I recommend Reese if anyone visits the center. Great Job
Melanie is amazing at the front. Very nice and professional.
BioLife Services in Harker Heights made my first donating experience a pleasant one! The staff was extremely helpful and professional with a relaxing atmosphere. The entirety of my first donation took around two and a half to three hours and included a short physical. They required proof of identity and permanent address for first-time donors. I encourage anyone donating plasma after your first initial visit to give yourself time (at least two hours) if possible because it is difficult to determine how long
Update 03/09/2024 System down, system down! **************************** Love the staff, they're really committed to their job and they always stay positive. The place is very clean and spacious. Sadly lately the wait is 2+ hours. Administration need to work on the amount of people per/ hour appointments, is to over crowded, not enough space to stand or sit with out being a safety hazard. Also I'm sure that if you guys offer better benefits/salary to your employees they will stay on the job longer, with
Very pleased with the services especially with my 1st donation not going well they took the steps to protect my promotion and make sure I was okay. Since then ever donation has been great. Reese is the go to person there. Engaging competent and fun to interact with make sure to look for her
For 8 months I've come here, and for 8 months my experience has been incredible. Despite the recent long lines, bed waits or the staffing issue the staff that is there? is top notch. For serval months I've let anyone stick me for the venipuncture, as they are all qualified and great. However; in recent visits, I've made a request for Reese. Reese is passionate, knowledgeable, credible! Well-educated! Positive! The difference between someone doing their job and loving their job, and she loves what she does!
Great and friendly staff! Reese is by fair, one of the best techs I've ever had. She has the softest needle stick. Not only that, but she's very kind and professional.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
