This is the only plasma center I've visited so don't have a lot to compare to, but the staff and techs are always informed, friendly, professional and willing to converse if engaged. I've had a few negative experiences, but it's only related to the volume of people and long wait times, never related to the people or staff. On a good day, they can get you in and out in about an hour. On a bad/understaffed day, it could take up to 2-3 hours. I put that responsibility on the manager/supervisor, not the techs.
I had a really good experience inside during my donating today. The lady that did my intake and blood work very friendly. The gentleman that did my physical very friendly and the phlebotomist that Drew my blood listened whenever I told her I had rolly veins and she got an easier stick than anybody has ever gotten on me. I'm only giving four stars because I had problems with my card and tried to call three times throughout the day and was on hold for over 20 minutes each time with no response. I was able to
I was a little nervous for donating granted it was my first time, but Shane and the ladies that worked their made the experience so easy and comfortable for me. Although i did have a slight reaction towards the end of it but shane was their to help me and was so so kind and patient with me! Thank you for everything guys! I give my first time experience 10/10, i would definitely be back to donate :)
Been donating since January, drove out for my appointment and my heart rate is measuring 101. Retested, 101. Gal offered 5 or 10 minute reset and then suggested since I wasn't far off to only do 5. It wasn't explained that I only get one heart rate retest. Got turned away after driving out there, first time ever turned away. I realize guidelines have to be met but one point over? Everything else was great after 3 months, long wait 30+ minutes to get your vitals checked then I've sat in a donation chair for
I love the staff at this location. They are all so friendly and I don't have issues often. I have a couple of favorites every time I go. Christan is seriously amazing, I don't know how she manages it but I basically feel nothing when she sticks me. All the staff seem to be happy to partake in friendly chats if you seem nervous. Good group of people!
You need more help. Wait time is to long and you need to upgrade your machines. And you need better phlebotomist teachers. Your long term crew members are amazing. Meaning the ones that have been there for 3 or more years. So give them a good raise!
I have been coming off and on for several years . This last time as I was leaving the staff actually said my name and have a good day. It caught me off guard as I don't remember them ever doing that before. Like I said I am not the most regular donor can often be gone for months before returning so it was really kind of amazing for several staff to say by and to have a good day. The longer I have been coming to the Tiffany springs Kansas City location the more I like coming. All the staff from my nurses to
Management needs to figure out how to retain employees and appropriately staff the center so that the donation experience moves along a little quicker. It shouldn't take longer than 90 minutes to donate. Additionally, Biolife needs to figure out how to correct the "high return pressure" issue with the increase in plasma collection. I didn't have an issue in the 2+ years of previous donation until the increase in plasma collection. Additionally with the increase in plasma amount collected, the amount pai
So you let your employees gossip about donors and talk shit on them in front of them? Wow awesome....you HAD my vote of confidence yall treated me pretty bad today. My names right up there you got my number on file I expect an apology and I'm likely not coming back. I'm doing this in public because your employee treated me like that. Turnabout is fair play. Don't be nasty to people.
Place turned into a joke, sat for 45 mins after signing in and everyone else getting called before me and had to do physical again since last donation was over 3 mos prior. I even tried to go speak to 1 of the screeners and was ignored, physicals every time you donate after certain times are ridiculous more than a regular yearly checkup for pcp
Just left biolife in Tiffany springs I was in copper section and the girl doing my stick with the red braids was not being very clean. Not changing gloves in-between different people's sticks and removing needles and setting up machines. I saw her remove 2 needles from 2 different people and set up both their machines after and then try to come remove my needle, I had to ask her to change her gloves and she gave me attitude until I pointed out what I just witnessed. Then she didn't say anything else just fi
I was in for a regular donation and was deferred for 2 months because of a malfunction with the machine. This is ridiculous. Their wait times are ridiculous. I highly recommend never coming to this facility. I have been coming to this center for 3 years off and on and their wait times have always been absurd.
Great way to get a little extra spending money. The staff is so friendly and professional. Especially Christan, I'm always glad to be seated in her section in the morning because she gets me in and out fast and I barely feel the needle.
Why would you allow a full schedule of donors when you have literally 4 workers on the floor? A line of donor's 26 deep is unacceptable. It's clearly an issue to find good help, most the staff you do have are unprofessional, feel entitled and still hate their job and it shows. Used to be one of the best locations but has gone way downhill.
Constantly not enough beds available to donate and half the floor isn't even operational nor has it been for over a year there's just been stray beds sitting over there. People are constantly needing to be rewrapped due to bleeding through their gauze, seats are constantly stolen whenever you get up so there's no organization for that.
The facility is very clean and the staff is very nice and respectful and they get the job done in a timely manner you guys have my 5 stars ?
We fixed your flag at the ambassador drive location. You're welcome. ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ***response to question by owner *** You're welcome! The flag was completely shredded as you can see in the photo, and it was flying well below half staff and it was Veterans Day.. If you reference the US flag code, you will find these points as well as others in regards to the display of our nations colors. One of my combat veteran friends helped me changed it, and the local VFW is
they give you a job and then 2 weeks later they take it back. I drove 45 minutes in a blizzard to make sure i secured rhe job. apparently that isnt enough for you people. dont go here.
i went to donate plasma (02/07), and had a pretty bad reaction after donating. their policy is to wait 15 mins before leaving and i am so glad they have that. terri, an MSS (nurse), helped guide me through my issues and allowed me to sit in her office to calm down and check my vitals. all of the nurses and staff were patient and understanding with my issues, showing compassion even when they were busy. they give you food before the donation if you haven't eaten, and food for after. they are all very, very k
The first time I went, I didn't drink enough water and passed out and they were there very quick and helped me back to a conscious state. They were kind and concerned and made every effort to ensure that I was OK and I was. Second time went smoothly But I have to say everyone there is very kind and very patient they work very hard all day caring for the hundreds of people who walk in there and from the beginning to the end they are just very kind and considerate. I would recommend this place to anyone who w
The website says they have Wi-Fi, but it's not true. Every time I go there's no connection and my cell phone service drops the signal. It's very boring for me. Sometimes I spend more on gas than I receive in rewards and coupons, which are very difficult to get ??
The staff is very friendly and professional. Until you get to the donation area. All professionalism seems abandoned, employees are asking other employees for their id cards to scan, in order to do things they're not normally permitted to do, in plain sight for everyone to observe. Even insulting and cussing at each other. It felt like high schoolers were managing this medical procedure. I would also say do not let anyone who seems too young or inexperienced stick you with a needle. Ask for someone more exp
I've been coming to biolife for 5 years at the liberty location. I have always had good customer service until recently. Today they are sticking people out of order by several minutes. I have also had to wait in the chair to be stuck for 20 minutes which has never happened before in the 5 years that I've been coming. I will be going to the Tiffany springs bio life from now on. Hopefully they have better customer service.
Facility was nice, staff was nice, they were efficient?however, as a first time donor, and paramedic, I was placed between to folks that were both higher than the Empire State Building. Nodding off and slurring their words the entire time. I just don't feel that's a safe practice. I don't care if they do drugs, but that seems like such a high liability for the business to allow them to donate while that influenced. ?????
If I could give zero stars I would!!!! People who work there are Rude and management will tell you to just "ignore them"!! I refuse to allow someone with a bad attitude stick me with a needle and could also have malicious intent!!
Recieved an e mail stating I canceled appointment, I never did, Biolife canceled. I tried rescheduling and app wouldnt let me. Went to BioLife clinic and was told my blood was sent off to lab. Its suppose to be standard procedure, even after 2 donations. I was told I would recieve a call after results to let me know outcome. It s been over 1 week and no word. Not very professional
I have never had a bad experience with BioLife at Tiffany springs. It does get busy at times but I have always been helped right away.. it runs very smooth at busy times all the staff members are very comforting and Mikayla ( hopefully spelled correct) is very sweet and professional at what she does! I definitely recommend this place from the front desk ladies, nurses, ladies who takes vitals and the people that take the plasma great job:) Thanks Victoria Tapia :)
The new program you are running for donors is ridiculous. I now donate more plasma for the same amount of money. Also, the filters you are using do not allow for more blood to pass through without being clogged. I have donated over 4 years with almost 400 donations and rarely have issues. The last four times I have donated it has taken me about an hour, about 15 more minutes than previous donations, and Biolife has taken almost an additional 800 ml of plasma without previous compensation amounts. Fix t
You know I was really impressed at first, stellar service in and out fast. But I just missed my appointment by 6 minutes because I missed my exit on the highway and it added 8 minutes to the route. They denied me saying there was no more slots available today and said the system thinks I'm in there donating, which for some reason means all the slots are full. So my booking doesn't count. Speaking of their system, it doesn't work very well. Seriously good luck if you are feeling sick one day and want to mo
I would have given this a 5 star, because the facility and the employees there are fantastic, or at least the ones I've got to know at around 6:30am on Tuesdays/Thursdays. I gave it a 3 star because corporate has recently changed its procedures that doesn't put a limit, or so I've been told, on the number of appointments per time slot. Which means it went from taking me 1 hour total from the time I arrived to the time I left, to now close to 2 hours to get through because of the amount of people there at th
I went to donate plasma on 10/08/2024 at 10:25 at Tiffany Springs, MO center and had a huge traumatic experience. Machine broke and gave me a whole bag of citrate anticoagulant and I had citrate toxicity. I had pain in my chest, I couldn't breathe, I thought I was dying. It was the worst feeling of my life. My body was shaking really bad and I got unconscious. When I woke up all my body was numb for a while. I couldn't move or feel all my body. It was scary. When I left the center I didn't get proper inform
I've had nothing but a good experience donating and it feels good to help other people
First I will start by saying the nurse on duty was amazing! He was so nice, quick, helpful and informative. On the other hand, the front desk staff were super rude and acted bothered anytime anyone asked a question or walked through the front door. The ladies on the floor were also very unprofessional and seemed to hate their jobs. When I had air in my line, 6 different staff just walked by me and didn't attend to me. When the manager finally came and disconnected me, she got blood all over my white shirt!
I have donated with BioLife for years and it has always been a clean facility with thorough staff. Not sure if they are dealing with staffing issues (everyone is in 2024), but I have called 3 days in a row and the first two days, they did not pick up nor return my call. The 3rd day, they answered and immediately placed me on hold for 20 minutes. I hung up and called back and got the same. Good luck getting in contact with someone unless you want to drive up there.
90% of the staff are great, the 10% that aren't great are Really not great. There's one spanish kid, he barely looks old enough to work there, always working the desks. Doesn't wipe his counter down after every person, barely pays attention to what he's doing, if he focused more on what he was doing instead of trying to flirt with his coworker the line would probably go a lot faster. If it was just one occasion I wouldn't care but it's the same behavior every time I'm unlucky enough to go in while he's on
For the first visit it took longer than 3 hours because there were 4 or more people before me. Otherwise the experience would have been about the 2 hours they said it would take. Everyone was nice there!
The cleanest, fastest and most efficient plasma center I've been to. The manager Tray is so awesome and attentive to the clients that come in, he wants everyone to feel welcomed. The staff are highly knowledgeable in their field and I feel very safe with them poking me. I recommend this location over others for sure.
The managers and nurses who run this facility are the most judgement and discriminatory group of people I have ever seen. They allow their center employees to fight and curse in the middle of the floor with donors all around and yet they take no action. They will kick you out if you ask for a tissue or give any attitude. Most importantly they do no investigation into prejudice permanent deferrals. If you have a disability, please avoid this place and their staff. They are the most heartless and judgmental p
having an appointment still means you wait in a line. although its a shorter line then non appointment places. the staff mostly ignores you after your hooked up. once some one popped a vain and there was no staff to get there aition or a solid 20 mins to get it stopped.
Slowest BioLife I've been to I feel they are understaffed at lease on this Sunday .I recommend finding another BioLife unless you got plenty of time.and it didn't help the line was hidden around corner so I check in before I seen it.otherwise I would of left right away and not be posting this review
Upon entering BioLife, I was greeted by a wonderful front desk receptionist. The process was very easy and the staff made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. From the initial physical to having them take my plasma it took a little under 2 hours. Ultimately it was a very pleasant experience for being my first time.
Has a great clean bathroom kid friendly . Went and donated last Friday and really got to focus on donating because my a/c doesn't work and it was nearly in the 100 or mid 90?s and they allowed my spouse and 3 kids in the lobby until I finished donating. I love this place best plasma center in Missouri when it comes to cleanliness , customer service and quality BioLife On Ambassador rules.
Well I picked a letter for my Dr to fill out for donating. My last letter was good till Jan 31,2025. So without asking or telling me the nurse put a deferral on me donating. Not happy right now. I asked a nurse to remove it but he said he can't cause he didn't put it on. So I couldn't donate. So that's it for now.
Very friendly and helpful employees. They make giving plasma easy and painless.
The staff at this facility are always very polite, helpful and treat me with respect.
pretty sure it's illegal to deny a person access to their own medical records. that's MY personal health information and i should be privy to that information in any and all circumstances. i am free to distribute that information to anybody i see fit. because it's a record of MY health. it's records about MY body. that's not solely your property. it's mine. will definitely not be back or recommending to anybody else after this extremely shady interaction. octapharma is much more courteous, flexible, better
The staff that actually collect the plasma are all very nice and very professional. However, the front desk staff that do vitals. 0/10. Most of the time they are rushing, talking with each other and don't even acknowledge you. Today, walked in and front staff male and female began to verbally assault each other in front of other staff and clients. Took way too long for staff to intervene. Very ghetto. I felt unsafe?
It wasn't too long a process to get registered as a first-time donor, having downloaded the app and prefilled my information. The verification, questions, physical take about an hour if it's your first time and the donation process is about 1.2 hours adding the waiting time. It feels really good to be part of a program that helps people in ways I can't do myself.
I could tell I had a new associate hooking me up to the machine. She was nervous but understood her job well. I thought this spoke volumes of your training staff and was very pleased that I wasn't stuck with the needle repeatedly!
The staff was great and helpful. Ashley, noticed my car lights were on and she ran out and turned them off while I was stuck donating.
The facility is very nice, the employees are nice. The new donor compensation is very good but once you use that coupon the only thing you will get for being a returning donor is 120 dollars a week, which is why I'm only giving a 3 star review. Returning donors should be compensated better, if not more than new donors. They are the ones coming back every week to donate.
I was doing great on my Vegan diet and feeling great but this place wants me to gorge myself on protein which I won't do because protein gets stored as fat. I was feeling much better without all the protein and now that I'm off protein again I'm no longer sluggish and I'm feeling great again with my Vegan diet because I'm no longer gaining fat weight from the protein, I am now losing weight again and feeling great!! This place clearly just wants people to get fat.
Great place to go to listen to staff talk about you right in front of your face. ?Oh, my blood pressure is higher than it was 5 minutes ago?? Of course it is!! By the way, YES, English is my first language. The miscommunication was your fault. BioLife, you should retrain or fire the mean girls before someone does what I wanted to do.
Had a bad experience for the most part yesterday 7/1/2024. The girl who poked the needle in my arm just jabbed it in there hard. Most of the time most of them are gentle about it and know what they are doing. My arm almost immediately started itching, then a short time later their machine malfunctioned and put some of my blood into the plasma. Now I can donate for eight weeks. They seriously need to train and watch their workers more carefully. Most of the issues I ever have here are due to new barely train
I do like coming to this center, everyone is always so nice, working hard to help everyone get in and out quickly but safely. The only little down side is there are a couple of people who take the vitals at the beginning who could speak up and or look like they half way enjoy their job.
I have had no problems at Biolife. There is a little bit of a wait, but only sometimes. The staff, the nurses, the associates gathering the plasma are all professional and friendly. I gave 4 stars only because I would like to see more promotions. Adding to this as my time at BioLife was excellent. Check-in was quick and professional. When it was time to begin the process, Christan is amazing! I cannot say enough about her. She is professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgable. I will continue visiting t
95% of the time it's a good experience. Mostly everyone is nice and makes good conversation. Every once in a while you get a hematoma but I think that happens when you go as often as I do.
My fianc? has been here multiple times to donate plasma. First few times went pretty well he was told he had ?great vain?s?. He hasn't been back in a while went this morning and the first nurse could not find a vain/had to poke multiple times. A few minutes past blood started leaking out and was going down his arm. Another nurse had to come readjust it two more times throughout the process. He reported it was a pretty uncomfortable experience was only paid out $40 because his ?coupon had expired? he was nev
Clearly it must suck to work here. The staff that does the finger stick just mumble and mutter off the required verbiage they have to repeat over and over for each donor... This warming customer service and cheerfulness is what you get after standing in line for at least an hour where you drag yourself around the corner along the wall after completing your check in questions... Then you get to your donation lounge chair and those folks are so nice, smiling and pleasant.
Out of all the locations I've been to, I'd probably never come back to this one. Just very unfriendly staff. Joshua up front seemed like he had an attitude with me because I don't have all the pre-steps memorized and he had to instruct me to do certain things. Wouldn't let my wife donate because of a bruise. A bruise she had when she donated two days ago and had even cleared up and gotten better since then. The girl who hooked me up was just very blah and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. Didn't say
Staff treats Clients like were not important, the wait time is crazy to have an appt at 2:15 and not get in the chair until 4pm , this is a part time job. staff stands around and make jokes while people are dying standing in that crazy line and It's not funny .Trying to make a complaint Manager says. We've got to do something to keep focused. Really, and by the way they never answer calls or return messages. So if you need a PT job, the facility is clean and they can usually get you stuck on the first try.
Biolife is clean and staff is decent. Communication is horrible though.
Third time at the facility. I prefer BioLife over csl plasma. The staff at bio life is amazing! Abbi working the floor is who is going to keep me coming back. Thank you for being so helpful!
I've been donating plasma here for about a year now and overall my experience has been fairly positive. Most of the workers are professional and nice to talk to. Lines can be long, however, I've learned to come during hours of the day where it isn't as busy and I am able to be seen immediately. Whenever there is a slip up on their end (which in my case has been very few and far between) they have always done their best to make things right. They can be difficult to reach over the phone at times but manageme
Today I show up to the Bio plasma center located at 7555 NW loop 410 ste 103 San Antonio Texas 78245 and I have been disqualified by a very rude nurse inventing false statement to do that,I feel discriminate by her and I hope somebody to investigate the unfortunate situation
Staff is great and very kind. I have been coming here for two years. I always recommend this center to friends and family. This place has gone so far downhill I will never come back here
Well this place is very professional, it has great customer service, also is very clean. Employees are very nice which is very important to me. Positive vibes all the way. Today was my 3 time donating. It went great. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.
The N Ambassador location for BioLife is always clean and staffed by friendly individuals who are trained and prepared to make donors comfortable and confident in their experience.
Because overall every staff member was outstanding in their environment and were very professional but I didn't put very satisfied because it was my first return visit and for me it is too early to give 5 stars but overall I wish I knew someone to refer but I don't
I called to see if my zip code was on the list and got a answering machine. Ronda finally calls back almost 24 hours later. After reading all the reviews I would stay away from this place. Be better to go to another one. Also judging by the response from the owner he or she can care less.
Jake, Kobe, and Josh and all of the other wonderful staff members are all super professional, prompt, and kind during every visit! Thanks guys.
Although the pay out can be good it isnt always worth it because of wait time. Expect to be here at least 3 hours. They book more people then they have bed or staff. It's ridiculous. They lie the say it take about an hour to donate but 90% of the time os 2-3 hour between waiting and donation time.
I have been donating twice a week for 2 years now and absolutely love my center. The people are great. Well trained and pleasant. Occasionally there is a bit of a wait but it isn't because the staff is slacking. The place itself is very clean and well maintained also. I definitely recommend them!
Best donation experience I've EVER had! Hands down. Staff extremely friendly, informative & FAST. They do appointments & my first time only took two & a half hrs! I have small veins & it usually takes an hr & a half to donate, but it took me less than 45min here! And no bruising the next day. I love this place! They're awesome.
I feel uneasy going to a place that doesn't appear to have very professional help... I'm a new would-be donor and upon entry I was asked to sit in the waiting room - but couldn't find it and the employee pointed at a hallway without even looking when I asked her where it was. Come to find out she meant the room labeled "supervised play." Not an obvious label for a single white male to enter as a waiting room.... Another employee came and asked me for some information then asked when my appointment was - I
The donating experience is good. Would like the time to be closer an hour instead of 2 or more.
Short staffed, long check in and bed wait. Drawing more plasma from me with no compensation. This location has been going downhill for quite a while. Management is lacking so many professional areas!
Standing room only in the "waiting room" unfriendly staff. The child running the front desk was unfriendly and there women taking your blood pressure were to busy arguing about break times and whispering to each other to be bothered to treat me or the woman next to me like we were humans. Overall clean-ish facility except for the bugs crawling around in the waiting room. I wish I could upload the picture taken.
A complete disaster! Was there for 2 and a half hours for a regular donation. They don't have enough staff to handle the regular donors and yet they keep scheduling too many new donors. Thinking of leaving and going back to another plasma center. You need to stop scheduling new donors for a month or just do one every hour.
Edit: new update Staff is great and times have improved a lot since my original posts. I only come when promos are good because of distance. Moved back to this location from Lenexa because their hours were difficult. Great improvement! Original review: This plasma center can be hit or miss with timing. Sometimes it's two people in line waiting and in and out in an hour. And then it's days like this with 20 in line with another 10 waiting after intake for a donation with one staff member doing intake. Not
The staff and management at this location made the entire donation experience great. Very friendly staff and Mandy was on top everything there making sure people were in and out quickly. I definitely recommend donating here.
Terrible service by nurses and front desk staff. Took over an hour and a half to even get a physical done. If you have all the time in the world go here. This was a waste of time. DO NOT GO HERE
I've been donating at this center since it opened and have over 160 donations. All the reviews about the extremely long wait times and being understaffed are 100% true. This center is a joke now. Some members of staff are more focused on personal conversations than sticking people and doing DCs to make the bed wait line shorter. A few employees do an amazing job and I feel bad for them because this center has gone downhill quick.
I had went to donate and get my physical done on the 30th. The physical took 4-5 hours becauseof technical issues as well as workers ignoringthe first 15-20 mins of me standing at the counter as the sign states to do while waiting for a physical(never had this issue before) didn't get to donate until 6:30 almost 7pm which they close at 7pm. Then I went home and scheduled a new appointment for the following Tuesday and I drive all the way out there and they say I was deferred for a covid question they said w
I had an overall good experience the only thing is is the new guards they use to help pull the needles back pinch my skin and leave it bruised
They always work hard to make sure we're comfortable and that we're in and out and on our way...
Very bad customer service. You can't tell someone you are gonna honor a coupon and then when they calm back 4 days later looking for the compensation say you didn't say you would honor it. Save yourself the headache/hassle. It's too hard of times out here to be played with. The day I signed up(only donated twice) there were 2 people who tried to warn me to go elsewhere. Literally anywhere pays better and they actually do what they say they will. Avoid this location at all costs
Do not go here and expect good outcome from this place. They will do anything they can to sabotage your donation. From the nursing office and donations draws. They will act friendly in face front but in the back of their mind. They will do bad deeds plotting and making donors not to allow to donate. What's the point of saving lives and getting paid when they will ruined your lives.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
