I've been donating plasma for about 3 months now and have had an great experience every time. Everyone there is super caring and helpful. Today I went and had Amber as the technician and I can honestly out of all of the technicians I've had in 3 months she was the quickest and least painful stick of the needle. I will definitely be asking for her section every time I go now. She was also super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend asking for amber if you go donate!
First time here, Martha was amazing at the front desk, Brenda took my vitals, daisy was my favorite and then Mo was my tech and she is also awesome! People be coming here expecting to be treated like princesses and leaving one stars! Give this place Try and base your opinion off your own experience! These ladies rock ??
Always a positive experience even if there's a bit of a wait. Then your day gets brighter if you're lucky enough to get in Keila's section. She's always beaming with joy and professionalism while singing with a lovely voice. She's never caused pain or bruising while connecting or disconnecting. Keep up the energy and great work
Before anything else I'd like to give special mention to the phlebotomist who guided me through my first donation here. Her name is Kayla. She was very friendly, personable, and importantly, when it came time for the injection, she was extremely careful and smooth, and I barely felt anything. After donating plasma in general at other locations 30+ times now, I was genuinely impressed and grateful, given some more painful experiences I've had while donating. Such an experience can sour the entire visit, easi
They are ALL so nice there! I have been going there for almost 2 yrs now. I hate needles but let me tell you AMBER is my girl!! She is absolutely the kindest, sweetest person. I don't know how she does it, but I barely feel the needle going in. It's insane! So now when I go in I try and ask for her. It just makes it much less stressful on me! Ya'll are amazing??
I've been coming here for a year and a half now. Absolutely love the staff. The bad reviews about having to wait is ridiculous. Some days you're in and out, other days you have to wait. If you can't wait, then don't come just to complain, harass and bother the staff who have no control over the wait times. Anyway ! This place is GREAT! Special shout out to Keilamarie !!! She's among the best here.
I seriously love this place. Everyone is always so friendly! I have been coming to this location for a while so I've gotten to know a lot of the staff. It's nice to actually have conversations and not just feel pushed through as another donor. It's always SO clean and they are always on top of proper PPE. My favorite time to come is between 8am-8:30am. I've had good luck with wait times around then. On average I'm there for about an hr. Give or take 15 minutes. They keep it cold and on top of the ice cold s
I want to preface this by saying that I've never had a bad experience at this location in the past few months that I've been attending, the staff are generally always wonderful. However, after my most recent visit I had one of the most unprofessional encounters I've ever had with any medical service. The technician "Daisy" was incredibly rude and condescending during the intake process. How someone can be in their 40s and have the emotional maturity and personality of a teenager is beyond me. Maybe instead
I love the staff at the Lakeland center location. Specifically, Amber is undoubtedly the best person to have take care of you. You never feel it when she sticks you and she's super personable.
Today was a quick day to donate because I had the best of the best man sticking me and handling everything down to the machine and making me feel very comfortable. All staff there is actually very good. Can't complain getting money and help saving lives is all that matters thank you. Mr. Mark M is very good at his job and never slows down. Your awesome
My experiences with diferent personal from front desk Brenda, to vitals Mrs. Sherri and phlebotomist Keilamarie to nurse Tiffany have always made my experiences very comfortable and have always answer questions. People there treat you very professionally
Only problem I have with BioLife is they don't answer the phone and they do not give messages. Have had this happen twice and neither time was message given. Hopefully no one has an emergency cause the loved one would not no until it's too late. And some upper management need customer service classes to learn how to talk to people whether it be a donor or another employee
My first time donating and I had a great experience everyone was wonderful and alert. Very professional and phlebotomist Amber was overall great. I had a good experience within socializing with her. Definitely coming back .
Jennifer Pagan is one of the most sweetest and heart warming technicians in the vicinity. Every time I come to donate, she makes me feel welcome and so happy to contribute. Jennifer is one of a kind who needs to be recognized for her dedication and hard work.
Amber, the phlebotomist at this location is one of the best people I've had ever stick me every time I go there. I never have an issue. Most of their clubs are very good Amber?s just one of my favorites. Thank you.
I really enjoy the Lakeland BioLife. It's a really nice freestanding building with ample, safe parking. Amber is my favorite technician but everyone there is thoroughly trained and extremely helpful. The atmosphere is very relaxing and enjoyable too!
They really don't pay good at all. The debit cards they give ubhave no checking or routing number making it difficult to pay bills online. Then u can only draw or pay bills online for $40 a day then card is declined. The people in back are great. Employees in front and managers are not. Can't call you guys never answer the phones or return calls ever..... Your reply is your typical copy and pasted response that has nothing to do with my review showing more incompetence as my review now a 1 star. Like I sai
My experience has been pretty good. The compensation is good. Lately, there were times where the wait to get through the Initial Testing and then on the bed to start donating got too long. I remember one time where it took me nearly 3 hours before I actually got set up to start donating. But they've done a pretty good of addressing those issues. They've also done a good job in addressing the nationwide saline shortage and adapting to it. My suggestions to permanently address these long wait times would be
i LOVE keila. shes my girl and shes the only one who sticks me good. i dont feel it at all and shes always so kind and good vibes. ask for her when you go in!!
They are great!. Thank goodness for this gig! I'm back in my hometown and still looking for a job. This is keeping me gas and doggy food, treats and tires on my car. Make sure you get the Promotion. Please eat right before you get there. Takes about 3-4 hours, but quicker the first and second visits. ??????
Great Again!! Was about 5 minutes past my grace period; Martha was able to squeeze me in. Was in & out quickly and efficiently, while being well taken care of by Becky, Mattie & Mark! Thank you all again!
Today, I was unable to donate due to the fact that the Staff Member at the front desk, gave me the impression that she DIDN'T WANT TO BE THERE TODAY! RUDE! I have bad days too, but when you deal with the Public, you BETTER know how to shake it off! Everyone didn't make you mad!! I surely didn't!
I have been donating for years at this point. Amber always takes amazing care of me. Nails her stick every time and makes me feel like I'm spending time with a friend.
Very professional staff and friendly service. Can't say anything negative about BioLife today. Came in and completed questionnaire, screening and in line (8th) to donate now in less than 10 minutes. Great Job! Worth the 2 1/2 hours on the Bus to get here.
Your nurse and coc staff sucks Can't stay off their phone while training a new staff member and having a client/patient in the room and talking about their personal Issues!! As well as messing up blood work testing and wasting clients time. This actually has been going on for years. We decided to stop and then a manger rep spoke to us. I said we will give it a while to return. Thinking issues and nurses would change. You got girls that don't even know how to put a needle in without floating it and going to
This was my fifth or sixth donation and everyone had always been so polite before. Unfortunately I had an awful experience with a woman named Olivia wearing a Sheriffs badge today during the BP measurement portion she was so rude and condescending while trying to ?assist me? I spoke to a supervisor about it and they did apologize. She was so unprofessional and acted as if I did something to her personally. Reported it to the website, but will likely not return as I'd rather not spend my free time donating w
Ok so this was my 1st time doing this and at this location. I was really not sure what to expect since a lot of the reviews were bad to say the least. I walked right in and the lady at the counter was nice and told me the process. I set in a room for about 5 minutes before someone coming and getting me. After I did all the pre-check I was back giving plasma within 45 minutes of my 12 o'clock appointment. The gentleman at the front Darrel is amazing. Great personality and informs you of what he is doing whi
Thanks mark and the staff, always a great experience every time. With so much responsibility involving each patient, your job consists so many different areas ( customer service, financial, technical, and worst part of medical the shots!) being positive and respectable to each one of us, thank you
Terrible staff 6/16/2025 at 4:30 I said waiting for over 30 mins in the orange section the girl had her name tag turned around walked passed me 5 times I was completely ignored watched 2 ppl start and finish way before I even gave any information I finally started at 5:10 the girl with a pink name tag that's turned around needs a talking to bc I've seen a single dude watch over two sections and had no one waiting which she called for help and I was still ignored
I called to inquire about a question, and the nurse was exceptionally rude. When I responded to her with the same level of rudeness, she made a noticeable effort to stop me. I am certain she disliked receiving the same treatment she had initially given me.
The staff is not sensitive about your time. You go there, they determine that you can't donate for whatever arbitrary reason and they suggest you book another appointment for the next day. The next day? Like people don't have lives and real jobs outside this blood bank. On the off chance you can donate that day and you get to a station, you'll end up waiting up to 40 minutes before they tap into a vein.
If you want to try and get a hold of anyone here. Just two words: GOOD LUCK. All I've seen are people complaining about the wait for a bed. No one's mentioned how hard it is to get other stuff done with them. Especially over the phone. No one seems to want to pick up the phone there, no matter how much you call. Nor do they seem want to call you back when you leave messages. I've been trying to get cleared to donate again with papers from my doctor for a MONTH. Spent an hour plus today at my doctor's offi
They try their best. They constantly set more appointments than they can handle. If you make an appointment it could last anywhere between 1 to 5 hours. My last 2 times I was turned away because they had more people than they could handle.
The nurse was an sweet and amazing as well as J? he kept me calm with his great personality ??
?????????? I had an amazing experience at BioPlasma Lakeland location! The staff was incredibly friendly and all smiles from the moment I walked in. They made me feel comfortable and welcomed, which helped ease any nerves I had. The whole process was quick and efficient?much faster than I expected! I really appreciated the professional and positive atmosphere. It's clear they care about their donors and go out of their way to ensure a great experience. Highly recommend this center for anyone looking to don
So blessed for this BioLife Plasma service! it is a very clean place they always sanitize the place.I live like 7 minutes away.oh and I love each one of the employees My favorites one are #1 keilamarie #2 Olivia #3 Brenda #4 Bianca #4 Kevin #5 Ryan And there's many more. I love that the place is always clean.yes it's been busy, and all but is not all the time and if YOU don't PATIENCE then just leave walk away don't come back instead of being rude to the employees.God bless ya ! Ya Rock!! ??????
The donation experience has always been pleasant and professional. I was a member of the 5 gallon blood donor program before I retired from my job..now I enjoy knowing that my plasma donation help so many who need it.God bless everyone for all the efforts!!
I love this location!! The staff are always polite and professional. The clinic can't be any cleaner. Great job team!! Btw Amber ROCKS??
I was extremely disappointed to be told that I cannot donate anymore?..ever! It was an honest mistake and I am being told no more donating. I took a break in donating (months). While I was out a got my nose pierced. When I decided to return to BioLife, again months later, I answered the question about any new piercings or tattoos incorrectly. It was an honest mistake because it had been so long that I forgot it was new since I donated last. That one click now makes me not able to donate ever again. You hav
I've been coming to this location for over a year now and it's been the best experience, everyone is kind and friendly, the best phleblotomists you can get are definitely amber and kayla, they are great at what they do, thank you guys for being so amazingg.
I've been donating with BioLife since 2020 on and off. The staff is always friendly and very patient-centered. The admin is open to feedback and do work hard to make adjustments while maintaining high patient care standards. Beds are always full, but they keep lines moving and folks donating! Donating makes a positive impact on receiving patients and research and you get to make a difference and earn some cash.. win win! Thanks to all who work at BioLife Lakeland!!!!
Staff there are great .???? honestly I've had a few days that were not too busy or weren't the best but over all the staffs willingness to improve and making donors experience better is always a plus .
The Biolife Staff is always pleasant and friendly. The lines (when there are lines) always move quickly. My donating experiences have always been excellent!
Jose and Mustafa were really terrific at my appointment. They were super professional and encouraging, since today was my first visit. Had a great experience.
Evening and weekend lines can be long, but the workers are kind, helpful, trained well, and as efficient as possible. I wish waiting times between tattoos wasn't so long, but that's out of the site?s control.
If you don't flirt with the flirtatious donation screen she will find a reason to defer you, I swear it happens to me every single time. Never have any issues only her.
Keila always have a great attitude and always stick to me perfection all the time i recommend all donors to request her
It's good place to go. Kayla was personable, and in tune to her patience. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to donate.
Been donating over a year now and have seen a lot of changes. Wait times being the main change. So much faster than when I first started. And the staff is incredible.
Everybody was nice and formidable and efficient. I felt safe and comfortable, bring a blanket because it does get a bit cold!
Never had a bad experience here. Sticks are consistent and the waiting times vary depending on the time of day you come. The waiting times have definitely improved recently.
Very rude staff I walked out Management needs to do a better job i would recommend a deferent company
The center has really shown lots of work with expediting wait times. Months ago I had wait times on occasion about 3 or more hours bc of short staffing. While the employees all worked diligently and were still friendly and professional, it was not fun waiting so long. The new staff members have really made the difference in wait times and everyone I've encountered is always so friendly and helpful. Thank you Biolife staff! You're doing an awesome job and you are appreciated!
I am donating plasma for the third time. My second experience was horrible, a nurse pulled the needles out of my arm, causing bleeding and bruising. After a few months I decided to go back. Today I was shocked, my app showed a value of $70 for my plasma donation today, after waiting almost two hours in line, I left with my arm hurting and exhausted, I went to check my balance and BioLife deposited $45 for my donation. I went to the receptionist, who could not give me an answer, she just told me that they ha
Biolife has come a long way since the past year I have been donating. The system use to be very slow and unorganized. What used to be 3-4 hour wait times is now mainly an hour. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
I had an appointment for 2:10pm, the workers were rude and rushing. I am a new donor so I did not know the complexity of what I should do or where to go. Obviously my first stop was at the front desk, but those women were rude. And then by the time I had to do an evaluation I could barely hear the lady talk, she was whispering but when I finished the computer questions, I could hear that same woman talking so loudly. She was being so weird. There was no staff/nurses and I waited almost an hour just do my ph
Kelia was very kind and calming and helped me feel comfortable enough to come back again. I will be requesting her every time
Keila and Haley have been the best workers for me since I've started coming to this location I'm happy w both of there work I'll keep coming as long as they are here
Staff needs to realize that people are allowed to blink, rewet their eyes, etc. Staff should follow a ?one-minute rule?, or 15 seconds minimum before bothering donors/accusing them of sleeping. You're also supposed to be checking our fists for movement. I have been donating plasma for a decade and this is the only center I've ever been to that has such aggressive and unnecessary training. I had allergy eyes with no drops today and 2 different staffers got on my case. Super annoying.
Keila is AWESOME! She's so happy and joyful. I always look forward to seeing her
I love Keila she's the best for me she's a pro it never hurts with her she's always my favorite good bless so many times ????
Okay, so I've been donating plasma for around 18 years now. I always appreciated having somewhere to make a little extra cash and the staff were always friendly. This center was fantastic for many years, both at the old location off lake Parker and at current location. The staff is still friendly and the money is still good but over the last three years the wait time has become ATROCIOUS. It used to only take about an hour from start to finish (sometimes even as quick as 45 minutes if I was well hydrated
(I copied and pasted what I wrote in the ?private review?, but I'm reposting this so everyone can see, as I was waiting for so long, I started reading the reviews of this place and regretted it immediately. I came at 2:00 and by the time I left it was 5:30pm) I had an appointment for 2:10pm, the workers were rude and rushing. I am a new donor so I did not know the complexity of what I should do or where to go. Obviously my first stop was at the front desk, but those women were rude. And then by the time I h
the workers were rude and rushing. I am a new donor so I did not know the complexity of what I should do or where to go. Obviously my front desk first, but those women were rude. Get sent home for low iron by .1 understandable come back next morning iron perfect go to the physical and this rude woman is treating me like I'm trash because I have ptsd from a SA Also a single mother so I explain and she continues to be so incredibly rude tells me she won't let me donate and not to come back because I made a li
I made a trip to bio to help save a life and donate. The only reason why I did not use 5 stars was because I felt discomfort during withdrawal. The employee made 3 attempts to stick and find a vein so I became sore. I do not like needles so it was a tough experience mentally as well. I will try to come again or maybe find a new clinic in the future. Btw it is colder temperature in the facility I suggest wearing a sweater or bringing a blanket as you wait 2.5hrs plus to complete first visit.
I miss the old one it was closer to me but it's great for extra money just this place takes way too long if you have an appointment at 3 you'll be there till 5, they need more staff and that are better at sticking you last time I was stuck in both arms by different staff both messed up sticking too deep. They also need stress balls or something people with long fingers or hands could squeeze if needed. I would go more if I knew it would be quicker and had stress balls.
Understaffed!!!!! Arrived within the 10 minute window of my appointment. Told it was a 2 hour wait, with only approx 10 people in line???? Then I was told they were giving come back cards. This appointment was my higher payout, taking a comeback card would be a $50 loss. So, I took a chance, but the line was moving so slow I didn't make it to the chair. If you don't have enough staff to accomodate the amount of donors you have, reduce the amount of appointment times you offer! Simple as that. Very frustrati
Been donating here since February of this year. I highly recommend this facility. It's always clean, the staff is always so nice to me, and even with the long lines (sometimes) everyone is always working really hard. I appreciate the effort these employees put in day in and day out to make us all comfortable. I recently recommended 2 of my friends here and so far they told me they like the place. I'm def a happy donor!
Ms. Keila has been wonderful and has always made sure I am well taken care of along with every other staff member. Thank you for all yall do.
This is by far the best experience ever!!! Quick and absolutely painless and it's all thanks to Ms.keilamarie thank you
In general, the facility is fine. Last donation, new tech was is a hurry and blew my vein. It took the supervisor who noticed the iv wasn't properly working. She then had to switch it to my other arm. No apology. Nothing. Caused a lot of pain, a lot of bleeding and a lit of bruising. Now, I cannot give plasma for 12 days from her negligence. I inquired about this on my next appointment when they denied me with no apology from the nurse which was very disconcerning.
Im giving 5 stars for my Tec Ms.Amber she's the bet one yet like she has skills with sticking her patients you won't even feel the pinch of it going in. THANK YOU MS.Amber
I have been donating on and off since 2007 so I have been through a lot of their changes, covid, childcare days, etc. However, waiting almost a full 2 hours just to be seated to donate!? Why do they have all these sections, and only a few of them open to seat people!? Bad management? Pay? They work hard and are always so nice. It's nice that I'm able to come on my days off to make extra money to help my family and me out.
Keila was awesome. I'm so glad to have her as my technician. ??
Keila at the office was wonderful so easy no pain at all She is so nice lights up the room!!
It's been weeks since I reported a bad review. I reached out to Christopher Kreeger on this incident. And no update was returned on his behalf. Per my previous complaints at this facility he called & emailed me In hoping I would continue coming back to BioLife. The other major concern I have that was verbally stated on the call, none of the techs are certified to which indicates no training to insert a needle. Secondly, states that they do not follow OSHA or HIPPA. Since 05/26/22 my arm till now have been
Richard was a wizard! Third time charm! The staff was very caring and patient. They helped me stay comfortable!
Don't bother. they dont calibrate their machines correctly. they told me my iron is too low which i know is not true. Need to add, I don't appreciate yall lying about me supposedly cursing out an employee. I will be reporting this center for unprofessionalism and blatant lies. Unacceptable
Great place, very professional and friendly then get a compensation while I help saving lives is a blessing ??
Kayla is the best!!! Very professional and friendly, she is my favorite!
I need a new card. My card is expired and I went to get a new one. I have not lost my card. I have not done anything that would subject the fact that you need to charge me five dollars? I have been donating for 20+ years and you cut my coupon by $15 I drive all way from Bartow that $15 funds the gas back-and-forth every week to you folks. This particular time that I donated spent 3 1/2 hours hours there. I would like a new debit card that didn't charge me five dollars. In summary, you cut me by $15 I need a
Great place to donate plasma! Great staff as well. Sometimes there's very long wait times but recently it has gotten better!
Been donating since 2012 at Biolife. Have been coming here ever since they opened this location. Used to be in center lakeland on Parker. Seen others go to other places only to come back to Biolife. Even when lines are long, the staff is very helpful.
The staff is always amazing. The only reason for the 2 stars was the extremely long wait. A donation typically takes a solid 2 hours but my last visit was 3 & 1/2 hours due to overbooking of appointments. Was a rough night but I will be back.
Jenifer was super great she took care of me and biolife was super nice and fast I love it
When I first started donating, wait times were not too bad. But lately, I am lucky to get out of there in 3 hours. They tell you to eat something 1-2 hours before you donate but when you wait so long in line, that time frame goes out the window. They really need to fix the staffing issue so they can have more sections open and cut down the wait times.
The Personnel are very friendly and nice. But if you set an appointment time for 12:00 you will not be seen until almost 2:00 I do not know why they make so many appointments if they do not have enough beds or enough employees to get you through the door you have to wait two two and a half hours in total.
The front receptionist lady was extremely rude and short tempered implied that I was ugly and gave me attitude about not having a social security card said "if I had a dollar for everyone who came without a social I wouldn't be working here " wish I could give negative stars could not confirm my brother's social and did not give a reason why then after 45 mins of red tape they Said my veins were to small
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
