Part 3 of 3 I had a longer review with the events leading up to these requested improvements, but character limit surpassed. 1) Do not have a donor leave because of a mechanical failure that can easily be remedied by using a different machine. Why after 2 pricks should a donor need to leave when the failure was on the part of the machine? Wasted time for donor/employees as shown by all steps that followed. All could have been avoided if a diiferent machine was used after the vial broke and a third finger p

Don't go here, this place is a scam. They offer the promo for your first month. You will go and almost every time you donate, your heart rate and vitals are fine, you'll get paid and leave but when you get close to completing the amount of tests for the month to receive the promo pay, they will say your heart rate is too high and you're unable to donate that way they don't have to pay you the promised amount. After getting denied due to my heart rate being high I went somewhere else and got tested and my he

When is this place going to get it together? The only have two people doing screenings when there are 30 people snaked in the line. Whenever a person walks up to the counter, they stop all help and attend to them everytime. Just holding the line up. Having an appointment is clearly pointless. I had an appointment at 7:10 am, didn't get screened till 8am. Then stood in donor line for an additional 45 minutes, then sat in the chair for 20 minutes waiting to get hooked up. By the time I completed donating it w

the staff here are very kind and attentive throughout the entire process. most of the staff are very experienced and i barley feel the pinch of the needle when i go in. love going here because it never has taken me more than an hour and a half, even when they were busy.

The staff usually is having a bad day. They take it out on the people who they underpay for their plasma. I've seen the rude behavior but today was my first experience of it. The woman had an issue and was delayed everyone?s donation ahead of me and when it got to me she delayed me as well by saying I had drug addict markings on my arm. I'd say they either need to start paying returning donors more money or everyone needs to hold out until they do, completely shut their model down because as of now, it's no

Each member of the staff has treated me well across my about 10 visits. Kassidy especially was great during my visit today. She seemed happy and to enjoy the work she does, as well as giving me the most painless experience I've had so far! I almost didn't believe the needle was in my arm. Hats off to Kassidy

The workers are overworked and too rushed quite often, causing them to have to jab people really fast while not paying attention. Missed 3 weeks of potential donations because of it. Left me with massive bruises on both of my arms, and a lot of pain in my elbows. Missed. Basically my entire first month of pay. And with the amount of time it takes to actually get checked in, it's not worth the money anymore What is the point of making appointments? They never honor them.

Last time I was in the nurse pierced my vein at such a weird angle that a more experienced nurse had to come over and help fix it. My arm was throbbing for a whole day. Wait times are often abysmal. Taking up to 2 hours at times. Pay outs have gotten worse at $45 per donation. Today I was rejected for the first time for having slightly lower protein levels, despite being a fit person with a high protein diet. I'm tired of wasting my time at this place. It's just not worth it after you finish the new donor

Very organized. Very clean. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. This visit I needed to see the nurse prior to my donation - start to finish it took about 2 hours. I tend to donate on the slower side so if I didn't need to meet with the nurse I'd prolly have been done in 90 min.. I've been to other locations and this is by far my favorite.

I've always a really good experience going to Biolife. Heather does a great job of leading and is very helpful with questions about procedures and processes. She's always positive and upbeat.Everybody is professional and makes the process seamless as possible. Jeff's hair is elite.

Lines can get long, which is the only reason for the 4 start rating. Staff is friendly, facility is clean. I've donated 24 times and have had 3 reactions. The staff takes really really good care of you and are very quick to respond when there's a reaction.

I was not able to become a donator due a surgery I had 20+ yesterday ago could cause seizure while donating. However, EVERY staff member I came into contact with was very professional and nice. The facility was very clean and sanitary. I would not hesitate to recommend in the future.

Have had great experiences EXCEPT for last Friday (March 28). The check in was great and went fairly fast and then I get to the section and the girl (I wish I knew her name?. Starts with an A) was terrible at time management. She approached me and started scanning all the items and asked for my full name and information and said she would be right back. 35 minutes later she comes back. I noticed her in the section behind me helping someone else. She finally made it back over and said sorry and I said to her

So I have donated plasma on/off since my college years (I am in my late 30's). I have small veins and NEVER had an issue with donating. However, this location is full of incompetent young techs who don't know what the heck they are doing! The first time I donated everything went smoothly. I can't remember his name, he was nice and he stuck my usual left arm with no problem. The process was smooth, I was done with donating within 30 mins. However, the second time I came, a different female tech was quite r

I should?ve followed my instinct and cancelled my appointment. I was to be a new donor and I waited 11 mins before I was even acknowledged at the front desk. I drove all the way over here in rush over traffic just to be told that I couldn't donate because the phlebotomist who gave the second opinion said they couldn't find my veins. I drink a minimum of 100 ounces of water per day and I rarely drink alcohol or caffeine. I also lift weights and so this covers all three of suggestions they put on the card to

I've donated here 15 times and I'm done. It's a rarity for it to take less than 30 minutes and often 45+ just to get checked in and hooked up. In addition they apparently made some change to their machines recently and it takes an extra 30 minutes every time now because of some machine caused pressure issue. Then once you're finally done you have to wait another 15-20 minutes to get unhooked. Also, be prepared to be treated like cattle at this location. They most certainly don't treat you like a person.

The lines are constantly long and it take well over 90 min if not 120 min to donate. This facility is clean and the staff is friendly there's just not enough of them to do vitals and they have multiple sections that stay closed. This facility needs to do something to get donations close to the hour mark, not worth the time after the promotion period.

Was a little nervous as it was my first time donating plasma and I saw a few negative reviews on here. But the staff were all super reassuring and helped move me Along as fast as they could with how busy it was. The nurse was super nice and the phlebotomist was also super helpful and reassuring. Definitely recommend. Great way to make some extra cash

Look, the staff is great; always pleasant anytime I'm there. What made me give 2 stars is an experience last week. My clothes were ruined by the bleach spray they use on the beds. Jeans aren't cheap. Alcohol kills germs too & won't ruin clothing.

I had a first donor appointment today, the staff was all nice and helpful, but they say you should expect to be there for about 2 hours. 2 hours in I hadn't even gone to get my physical and then when I got called for it I was told I wouldn't be able to do anything else because on the survey I had put that I was diagnosed with PTSD when I was 8 from a car accident. The FDA requires that a form is signed saying the environment wont trigger you. It's not their fault but very frustrating that I was there for 2

3rd visit. Paige deserves a five stars but the two stars are for the vitals screening. I note that my cuff is not properly on both times and was just laughed at. Vitals screening is slow and you're on top of the person next to you. Also don't know the nurses name with the blonde highlights but she was also very friendly and helpful. Otherwise, I doubt I will be returning to this location in the future.

Great staff. They do what needs to be done in an efficient manner, even when under staffed - when Heather is running the floor you know people are going to keep moving.

I've gone 3 times now and have had a terrible experience everytime. Not all the staff know how to handle procedures and that is the reason I've gone 3 times and still haven't been able to donate. I've called the store to talk to a manger no response, left a message no response, emailed the store and still no response. If your veins are hard to find don't go here because apparently they won't be able to do anything and you'll waste hours of your life.

The staff members I was able to deal with were great. I have heard negative feedback from others who have gone. I am thankful it wasn't my case when I visited. The front desk, the nurse, and the phlebotomy were attentive and swift the best they could be considering. I was a "new donor" , my total visit time was 5.7 hours because of "unusual high volume" at the time.

I had a terrible experience at this plasma donation center. The waiting time is absolutely ridiculous?what should be a simple donation ends up taking nearly three hours. They don't properly monitor the machines, and by the time they notice an issue, an hour has already passed. To make matters worse, they have to reinsert the needle because of their lack of attention. The staff, especially one short Latina woman who won't stop talking, spends more time chatting among themselves than focusing on the donors.

Wanna try and do a good thing? Well don't if you have tattoos and an ?edgy? style. Got judged off the bat, passed all the things I needed but then this rude nurse wanted to be so rude to me for no reason. She pushed me away due to having depression? Apparently giving plasma will trigger me into a spiral of depression. Idiots. I think I know myself better than you. I also have a family member who has PTSD/depression who didn't need to have their psychiatrist fax them their diagnosis.

Everyone is very friendly and fast. They get you hooked up quickly and always check to be sure it goes well. Overall a great experience

Every time I have been here, I've been in and out in about 45 mins to an hour. I usually come on my days off and before 12-1 PM. Today I came in for an 11:25 appointment and walked out the door at 12:35 (afters spending about 10 minutes in the restroom) So I don't know why all these negative reviews keep popping up, but so far all my donations have been very smooth and decently quick. ??????? every employee I've come across has been very friendly and professional. 10/10 from me! ?? ??

Took 60 minutes to get checked in and hooked up. Waited the longest in the donation center for someone to hook me up. Took 30 minutes. Don't come here unless you have a lot of extra time.

Incredibly efficient, kind and patient people. They did a great job helping me get through my first time giving plasma, and even though they were busy their friendliness and patience did not faulter. I had a wonderful nurse, and the two women that took care of me were Becki and Alisha, they were so fun to talk to and really show they care about people. They made sure everyone under their care was doing good, and that everything was progressing well. I definitely recommend this location to go to every time

If you question anything a worker says or does, they'll find away to band you from the center. Its so unfair and speaking with management you really walk away feeling like you weren't even heard. I feel like if a place does not want to do business with someone they should just say that. I'd go to a different center. you know they dont care bc all the responses are the same , they don't care. look at how the respond to each review

After over a year of donating at the Lenexa location, I am very satisfied with Heather. She is knowledgeable and knows how to treat the staff as well as the patrons who donate there. I'm a difficult stock and she always knows how to make it all work right. She should be the site manager for this location. She has clientele that always ask for her even when she is unavailable. She is the only reason I feel safe when I am there. She makes sure that all protocols are in place for the safety of others as well a

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with an incident that occurred during my visit this morning, July 17, 2024, at this Lenexa location. My concerns primarily revolve around the handling of a situation by Tyler (Office Manager) and the procedure for needle readjustment performed by your two technicians. During my plasma donation, I encountered an issue with the placement of the needle. Regrettably, the technician attempted to readjust the needle in a manner that I found concerning. The technici

Not efficient or consistent with the sticking or getting people started. If they see someone they like they will go to them first and talk to them for 15 mins before going to others who have been waiting longer. I sat in the chair for 25 minutes while the people behind me went ahead.

Gone here twice and apparently you have to eat a whole cow to be able to give plasma. I literally told I ate three time and was told I didn't eat enough. Place is a joke!!!

Everytime I gave blood my money was there before I left the building now my money not on my card why not sinister behavior...no good Better off getting a joint job people and everyone else got there money but me so they do why they want but lie on the system.

Nurses aren't very friendly. Left with bruising in both arms came back for scheduled appt and got treated very rudely like the bruises weren't from them

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The process was so smooth to donate, from start to finish. Excited to go back!

Having to wait 40 minutes plus for vitals is kinda crazy. Schedule more staff, easy fix.

The employees are not good at explaining things if you have never donated plasma before and don't know how the scheduling process work. I don't know how or why but someone added a customer service coupon to my account and messed up my new donor coupon so I had to talk to a manager and they couldn't fix it so they just started manually adding it. It wasn't until approximately the third time that they gave me a card that was handwritten (wasn't even a formal card for these situations). My card fell out of my

I have been pleased overall with donating plasma with BioLife. There are a few draw back. The biggest being the wait time to get in to donate. Since I have a full time professional career, it is challenging to give up several hours of my day to donate. If the processing time to get in and out to donate was more reasonable, I would come in more often. I will say when you donate for free with the community blood center they treat you better (warm blankets, warm compresses on your arm, a squishy to squeeze, sn

I know almost all of the staff by name, they are very friendly, and fun... I always enjoy my visits to the donation center. Austin, Jeff, Sarah, Piper, Lily, Becky, Carson, Damien, Alicia, Carolina... just to name a few of the many great people that work there at the Lenexa, KS Donation Center!!! They are very skilled and caring for their donors... they are very attentive and professional!!!

Tried of showing up and not being able to donate because my pulse is one beat per minute too much. Usually 20 minutes after checking vitals before you donate anyways, how the hell do they know your pulse is still in range anyways. Kind of bullshit

Not relustic on the wait times at all add 2 to 3 hours per visit.. everyone on break at the same time it seems..

My appointment was at 12:30 and I write this at 2:35 after sitting here for 2 hours trying to get my initial donation started. Haven't even been able to see the nurse yet for my physical. Open donation seats all over. But no nurses on staff to see anyone and they will not tell you how long they expect you to have to wait between each step.

Got there 10 minutes late due to the rain and seeing an accident and the nurse at the check in desk almost immediately had an attitude. Then after finding out I hadn't ate since 2 hours prior she gave me a protein shake I had to drink before any more intake could be done (it also did not taste good!) and I feel like this could have been done closer to when i actually get my blood drawn? Then I waited an hour in the waiting room til a nurse came in and took me to the vitals section. 15 minutes later after pa

Was not staffed to handle all donors in timely manner. I arrived at appointment time and was 12th in line for vital check. got done with vital check and went to Green line of 6 people to wait on a chair. Finally got to a chair and waited for 25 min to be connected. disconnect went good.

This place used to be a pleasant experience and efficient. The wait times are insanely long. There's not enough staff. The employees there are nice and it's not their fault but you can count on 3 hours of your day sucked up and most of that time is just waiting for a simple vital check.

Edited: Has lowered payout so much it's not hardly worth it. Lines, lines everywhere. 13 people lined up to get screened with one screener. It will take three hours today. They do not value donors time. Quit taking appointments you don't have the staff to serve in a timely matter.

Do not waste your time and gas for the $800 promo if you have bad anxiety. Appointments don't mean anything so by the time you get done with the questions and going through the line, your bpm will be higher than 100 and you won't qualify. I got turned away twice in a row. Not going to try anymore. And I'm not wasting my time to go through and deleting all the appointments either. They wasted my time so I can do the same.

My first donation with BioLife went smoothly thanks to these amazing staff- Cindy, Becki, and Tyler! They were fabulous in explaining the steps that would be taken and making me feel comfortable. Cannot say enough good about those three that took care of me! Wait times seem like they could get a bit long if a lot of people show up at the same time, but the staff that interacted with me-awesome!

I usually have no issues donating here. The staff is usually very kind, especially Heather. However, the last two times I donated I had the same person stick me. I did not catch her name, but she had long black hair down to her waist and was wearing a mask. Every time she has stuck me, it is painful at the initial needle penetration and then CONTINOUSLY as I am donating. Sharp, throbbing pain even as I'm just laying there letting the machine do it's work. It sent jolts of pain down my arm to pump my fist as

Staff at the site I donate are very friendly and knowledgeable. Knowing I can help is a great feeling.

All the employees are very friendly and professional. The facility is always clean.

The wait times are outrageous. This place is massively understaffed and only uses 50% of their facilities because of how understaffed they are. It is genuinely annoying waiting for an hour or more and seeing all the empty beds they could use, but they can't cause they only have 4 people on the floor. At this point they should put in a restaurant cause by the time your called you'll still be eligible to donate.

My first experience was good. I had my first donation Sunday September 8th then set an appointment for Thursday September 12th and I forgot about the appointment and missed it. The app would not let me schedule any other appointments for the week even though I did not donate Thursday. I called the center multiple times and left voicemails and no answer. I went there in person and they did not assist me with the issue because the system keeps saying I donated twice this week which I did not. There was availa

Shout out to this location in Kansas! Always able to find an appointment time, clean facility with friendly staff. The wait time varies, so plan ahead or find patience. There's one phelbotomist that stands out CONSISTENTLY! Her name is Lili. She's very kind, extremely professional, and not to mention delivers with care---a fabulous stick every single time! Continue the great work y'all, five stars easily.

Hello my name is Helen Huezo yes I don't care if u know who I am, I've been donating for approximately 5 months never complaind about nothing, even tho this is absolutely a place where young kids get their experience before they go to a higher job, I have experience younger kids with bad attitudes but still respectful, until I came about this person believe me I will find out her full name because I cannot post her first name only because I don't want it confused with no one else.but the guy Boss basically t

35 minute wait for vitals, then another 30 minute wait for a bed. Ridicules, you need to get a handle on your scheduling!

When they take your vitals at the beginning and do the finger prick, the woman doing it to me pressed it into my finger super hard and now it hurts to use that finger. Normal finger pricks do not cause that kind of pain and it lasts for a week after, it does not hurt like that when they just prick you and dont press it in so hard (and it bleeds just as good as if they were to press it super hard.) Secondly, it should already be in the donors mind to not move around when they have the needle in their arm bu

First time visit went pretty smooth. They let you know about the process start to finish.

This is the closest plasma center near my home. After driving 88 miles to donate my life saving plasma, I was turned away with all proper paperwork. I have never been turned away from any plasma service center due to distance when it is in fact the closest to your home. I understand being turned away if there was a closer place to donate, but there is not. Will be taking this one up the chain.

Employees are great. Just not enough of them. Saw all the LONG lines waiting for vitals/beds on 6/25 & left w/out donating - after 9 hrs at work, couldn't deal w/waiting in those long lines at the end of my work day.

Edit** the last 2 weeks I have been able to be in and out in an hour. The lines seem to be a lot shorter. Hopefully this will be the case moving forward. I have never been in and out of there in less than 2 hours. I understand it is voluntary and that they are compensating for time but I have been waiting 2 hours before they even get me hooked up to the machine which means I end up being there for 2 and a half hours every time I donate. The time spent waiting in line seems very preventable. They are obviou

I've donated at this location multiple times and I'm in and out in 45 mins to an hour from walking I'm the door to donation completion. I schedule my donations in the AM between 8/8:30 and only spend about an hour total at the center. Its very clean and the staff have all been friendly ,very pleasant, professional and don't seem overworked or stressed at all so I'm really not understanding why all of the negative reviews keep popping up, but so far all my experiences have been very smooth and quick. 10/10 f

Damien was great!! They are so nice at this location and explain everything very clearly. Intake process is pretty quick and all the employees have been great!!

I went in here to donate plasma for the first time. Everyone has excellent and the process was very quick and easy. They got me through the new donor process. They were able to get me seated. Luise and the manager came by and checked in on me during my donation and made sure everything went so well. They were able to find my vein right away and didn't poke or jab in the wrong spot like CSL plasma did. My donation only took 45 minutes once I was hooked up.

Everyone was great! When I used to donate blood when I was younger they always had a hard time finding a vein so I was a bit nervous when I came in. However the gentleman that helped me at the actual donating stage did no problem and made extremely easy and seamless. This is a great location!!

The money is good, but they don't value your time. Their website says it takes a little over an hour, but in practice it has been taking about 2 hours. This is all controllable by someone in the company. Every Donor has to have a time slot, and they know how many staff they have for the donation beds, and how many staff they have for checking donors in, so they have an idea how many donations per hour they can do. Baring staff calling in sick, or a donation just taking way to long, they shouldn't have so ma

Hello Biolife donors, I am very upset because I completed my 8 donations, I have all my visits recorded and the payment history, I waited for the 8 donations to receive all my money, and I was surprised when I went to the bank to withdraw my money and I was surprised that my money was stolen, it is evident that the staff is the one who does these robbery frauds because they are the only ones who have access to even see if social security was stolen from a bank on October 25 at 2 pm PIRFAVOR BE CAREFUL EATOY

I love donating plasma. The staff are friendly, the facility is clean and the process is easy.

The front never changed their gloves in between patients and then act like it's an insult when asked to do so. The nurses are rude and confrontational. Waiting to be unhooked from the machine for 15-20 min is very frustrating. Waiting an hour and a half for a one hour donation is crazy when you make an appointment. The bulk of my donation should not be waiting to start.

I've donated MANY times at this center over the last 7 months (over 20 times.) And overall, the experience is fine and the staff are typically very nice! However, I have two complaints ... 1.) Occasionally the appointments are clearly overbooked with not enough staff working, so what *should* take an hour can sometimes easily take 2+ hours. And 2.) (This is the #1 reason for the 2 stars ...) A week ago when I donated, the girl who was hooking me up for my donation was clearly sick- she was wearing a cloth m

On my 4th blood draw I had a severe reaction at the end of the cycle. The staff jumped in quickly and were patient and calm. They were able to stabilize me quickly and get my body back to health. The staff is amazing every time I go there. The nursing staff is also impeccable. I'd highly recommend BioLife. Although I had a bad experience I still plan to return. This was a VERY rare occurrence and probably could have been prevented if I ate more that day.

I had my first experience with giving plasma. I didn't know what to expect, but it went smoothly.

I have NEVER been in and out in an hour or less! Heck, it takes over an hour to get to the bed . I'm not sure that I have made a complete donation in less than 2 hrs. Then there's an awful amount of things that the staff can do that can cause you to get ?deferred? ( which means that you are unable to donate for a set amount of time. ) And you can forget about any promotions because they all have a time limit in which you have to get a certain amount of donations. You can only have 2 draws within 7 days an

The staff, from the vitals check to the donations beds, are always very friendly and seem to be enjoying interacting with the donors. I specifically had Alisha as the person who put the needle in my arm, she stated she's newer to this and I could tell she was still a little nervous but she did a great job!

Ray Charles with the needle. Then rude when you are bothered that every time you come in there's a 30 minute delay.

My experience was great. Beckie, Roberta and Paige were amazing! They all took the time to explain things and answer my questions and made sure that I was good throughout the entire process.

Very disappointed that I had to wait 35-40 minutes before I could donate. Please manage appointments better please.

I was hoping being appointment based trips would be faster. Still a line for screening and beds. I keep hoping that as they go things will get better, considering this is a new center, but it still takes forever. Staff is friendly and it is in a convenient place. Update! Last time I was in was a breeze! Very peaceful and staff wasn't scrambling like usual. Very little waiting. They told me they changed scheduling so less people can schedule while they work on continuing to hire and train more staff.

It takes an hour to even get hooked up to the machine most of the time despite being required to make an appointment. I used to donate at a walk in clinic that was faster. There's also one lady that works there that is incredibly slow. She usually works in the back left corner and it takes her 10 mins just to get you on the machine and I've noticed her getting an attitude with other employees. Everyone else has been very nice and professional.

It was very quick this time. I do have a suggestion...when there is a long line to wait for getting into a chair, and First Timers come in and they go to the front of the line, I think they need to do every other one...first timer, donor, first timer donor. A few weeks ago, It was crazy busy and I waited in line for and hour....there were 6 new donors that were put in front...need to alternate when that busy. :)

Went in today for a 4:05 appointment, there was a line to do the questionnaire, then a line of 14 people before you could get your vitals checked and then a line to wait to get on the machine. I wouldn't have been able to get on the machines before 5:00 to 5:15. Too long of lines and they schedule too many people with not nearly enough staff. Used to be very good but lately it's been horrible.

Today I waited 1hr and 45 minutes to be seated. Once seated I then continued to wait until I could not wait and longer. They only had four of the six sections opened with one employee in each. One employee doing vitals and new donors moving ahead of current donors. If they are going to be open and continue to allow full schedules they should make sure they have enough employees to work and see donors in a timely manner. I'm guessing if I would have stayed to give my donation I would have been there for at l

Safe, clean, efficient, friendly. I appreciate seeing the same staff. High turnover makes me leery of medical establishments. That doesn't seem to be the a problem at the 95th St, OP KS location. Keep up the good work.

Such a great location and staff. I just started donating plasma and while it can take some time initially, the staff is amazing. The facility is nice and you are saving lives!

This was my first time donating. I went twice a week for a month. I never ever had a bad experience! Everyone was very nice and professional. They even learned my name and would say hi when they saw me. You could tell the employee?s enjoy their job, work well as a team and get along well with each other (which is very important!) It was entertaining listening to them joke around with each other. The facility was very clean. I was comfortable every time I walked in.
