Okay this is 3 weeks later my arm is still black purple and blue!!! So I donated 3 weeks ago my second donation was a absolute horror show at this location! They were short-staffed I was not being monitored and my vein swell up to the size of a jump rope!!!! Long story short my first experience was great my second experience was horrible!!! I don't Ever plan on donating again because of this, and yes my arm is still sore also smdh!!!??????????

The timing has got to get better. You make an appointment and probably won't be even screened til 1hour + let alone on the bed. So a 10:45 appointment turns into leaving at almost 1. The system is flawed and management needs to be looked into or the processes of the company. I came back to update this review. Why isn't there a direct number ? You all have a Michigan number posted but it sends you to a call center that won't transfer you. I lost something and was told to fill out a contact form and the c

My experience at this place was okay but the real problem is the card. Every time I go somewhere to use the card it places a double charge on the card, as an authorization hold. It has happened to me several times now and have to wait 8 days for the hold to lift, so I am unable to purchase said item, even though I had the money. Very inconvenience and never had this experience at the CSL plasma place. This place seemed nicer and more upscale but I think I'll go back to the CSL. Nice staff though.

I've mostly had good experiences here aside from a few rude employees. I also think they lie on your weight to get you to donate more.I was skeptical about this at first after hearing multiple people say this but it happened to me today and while I was talking to the manager about my concerns, a new employee I've never seen there before was scoffing and laughing at the fact that I was telling the manager that there was no way I weighed what they said I did. I was bothered by the fact that she didn't tell hi

I drive 40 minutes one way to donate twice a week and some weeks are great when my iron is fine but then other week when I'm driving for a 40 min drive there is no composition which I get we get paid to donate but if you have people who are driving for 40 min then turn them away it becomes harder to return due to gas, also lately I've been getting there and having to wait almost 2 1/2 hours just to donate I feel like you shouldn't have as many slots open if you don't have enough staff don't get me wrong. I

The review / comment/complaint is towards the credit card company that your money is posted on: North Lane. They recently changed the name and apparently the services. At no time will you ever get a live agent to assist you! You have no way to transfer your funds to your own bank account! The BioLife in Livonia is a nice place to go and donate however a lot of the people that work there don't have a lot of answers as it regards any use of the card. I'm not blaming them but they would be your next option if

The people working here do not know how to find a vein - it's not worth the pain it to go here. Poorly trained staff in skill and in bedside manner

I started to cry out in pain something was wrong with my needle it wasn't put in correctly. I let them stick my other arm as well so I could get my full payment but they still only gave me $20 and I can't donate until this awful bruise is gone and I'm in so much pain!

Very clean and professional. But deferred for 7 days for donating too soon after coming from CSL after driving all the way to Livonia from Melvindale. Donate my second donation, then go back in 3 days to do my 3rd donation, they do a protein sample only, would not let me donate. No compensation for my time or gas. Then try to get a hold of them to find out when I can donate again, and have to deal with an Ai for 35 minutes before I ould finally get a real person, then the connection keeps cutting out. As

I would give this location zero Stars if possible.. I went to support a friend who wanted to donate as we both had never donated plasma.. the sterile technique was horrendous. My arm was accessed for donation and the tube was not connected to the IV line the phlebotomist couldn't get the tube to fill thought the tube was defective calls her co-worker over her co-worker rips the tube off the hemostat isn't clamped blood goes all over my clothes on the side of the chair and down the side of the chair.. at thi

Detroit location had me wait an hour before being screened, after getting screened they put me on a machine stuck me then noticed my blood mixing with my plasma I felt sick after they took me down they sent me on my way told me I would still be paid out for my time as it wasn't my fault 2 days later still haven't been paid. I assume they don't plan on paying me I went up there they lied and said it's a delay in payments but everyone else I asked after donating said they received their payments no problem. A

There is never enough staff, wait times are 2-3 hours to donate. The problem is people who make appointments are put in the same line as walk ins, this makes zero sense from a business standpoint. One line for appointments and another for walk ins, if you can't figure that out, than there's a bigger problem. Noone should wait 3 hours to donate, some of us are donating for the right reasons not just a payment. Fix your broken system or have a cut off point for the amount of walk ins per staff numbers. Its ok

the staff is nice and would've gotten a five star review if not for the nurse. Brandon, the front desk guy, was awesome and great at his job as well as michelle. The older nurse donning gray hair and a scowl , however, was so rude and nasty to me that i'll never donate again to this location. she rolled her eyes when i spoke and cut me off more than once. i don't know what happened in her life for her to be this way, but it is not right to take it out on donors like this. I've donated five times this year,

I have never donated plasma before and was unsure what to expect. Watched the video on their website and the process seemed pretty straight forward. Show up 10 mins early for my appointment. There's no one at the front desk. See a sign that says waiting room for new donors. I go in there. 30 mins go by. No never worked the front desk. No one even stopped in the waiting room to help. So I left.

My experience has been very good until last night. The young lady checking me in had to stick my finger 3 times to get blood. after I completed that process, I went to the table area and sat on the table for 30 minutes before anyone came to hook me up to begin the process. and if that wasn't bad enough the night Supervisor sent the workers home and left one person on the floor, while completing my treatment I had the pleasure to list to the Supervisor barmaid the only worked on the floor. Saying they the wo

There are some weeks that are good but today I was told that I have high blood pressure and sit for five minutes and someone will assist me but after 20 minutes no one came to assist me after 20 minutes I was finally assistant by someone else because the original person completely forgot about me then I was stuck in a line that I did not belong in because I made an early appointment. my appointment was for 7:10 instead I was stuck in a line and by 8:30 I decided to leave when letting the nurses know that I

I recently donated plasma at your center, and while I appreciate the important work your staff does, I wanted to share some concerns about my experience. After my donation was completed, I waited for about five minutes to have the instruments removed from my arm. During this time, I was feeling cold and uncomfortable, and I wanted the equipment removed as soon as possible. I understand that the staff seemed overwhelmed with the number of donors, but when I asked one of the nurses for assistance, I was met

Biolife Livonia is my favorite place to donate plasma. Clean facility, nice staff, good behavior by donors is enforced & I feel comfortable going there. Very efficient, love that they control traffic flow with appointments.

I drove 35 miles for an appointment and they sent me home because 3 days earlier one of them couldn't find a vein and I got a bruise. Be careful of these people

Very nice first experience at BioLife. Very clean, sterile environment. The staff was kind and explained everything in detail. It was a fast process from beginning to end and I get to walk away knowing I'm helping those in need of plasma. Thanks BioLife for assistance in helping me help others

I have been donating at your center for years. I have seen you at your best, which was when you first opened, 10 sections with two techs in each section. I have seen you at your worst. Tonight! I walked in at 530 and there were 20 people in line just for vitals. I stood in line for vitals from 530 to 645pm. Then the line for the beds had 15 people in line. Another full hour of a wait just to get to a bed. Then you wait at least 20 minutes for the tech to get the machine together and get poked. Then

No acknowledgement when waiting an hour or longer for a nurse, the nurse Daniel moved slow and laughed with only dealing with one customer for roughly 35 mins with five others out waiting like we're in the hospital on Martin Luther King Blvd. Ghetto

I like the location can be slow at times but overall I just like how the employees are. Very inviting environment and my reason for the 4 stars is the bathrooms are unkept like maybe hire a cleaning person specifically for they cleaning last the blood pressure machine have so much dust behind them it can't be good for the workers or donors that's all.

Very nice people. The only thing is I was supposed to get $125 for my donation and I only got $40. Other than that, the place is clean and very efficient.

When I got to my appointment this morning the line was very long and I left because after waiting for 30 minutes I was still a good 30 minutes away from just the intake plus another long line to get into a chair

I have been donating my plasma to the biolife services. And I wanna tell you. They are very, very friendly nice and you will feel like you are doing a wonderful job and helping someone out. So please if you decide that you want to do this, it is awesome. Knowing that you are helping with your plasma to people who really need it.

I had a reaction to donation and thght I would die . Carrey took care of me and made sure I felt safe . Her bedside manner when something is going on is sooooo good! Very professional and I will be back with a gift for her ! Thank you for holding my hand while I was in and out of consciousness.

I don't appreciate that they tell you you're forced to consume the full 12 ounce bottle of diabetes Powerade when their sheet lists you need to consume 8 ounces, also that they'll kick you out and not let you donate if you don't drink the entire bottle. Staff has been rude several times as well.

This location is safe, quick and the staff is very proficient. I have had great experiences each and every time!

First Timer here. Was there from 12pm-2:35pm. I knew this was expected, it's listed in the site. I had vitals done, a questionnaire regarding my history and understanding of the process, a physical, and then was seated to donate. DRINK YOUR WATER! It really only took about 30 to donate, I drank a good 100 ounces of water from the morning and while waiting and everything was smooth sailing. I did see people there longer and saw how slow some people's blood was moving so I'd def suggest drinking plenty of wat

Wild how unorganized this place is. You guys need better processes instead of putting new clients in a waiting room for 1+ hours with zero direction or communication. I came here for the first time and seemed to be ignored from the moment i walked in. Back to giving my plasma to red cross i guess. If you dont have 3+ hours in your day to waste?dont come here

Staff and service awesome, 1st time for me and they answered all questions and walked me through process. Good job.

This location is clean and has the best staff. Theres a manager in particular, Dee is his name, he looks out for the donors as well as the staff. He was very kind and helpful to me when i came in to ask questions. Again, the facility is very clean like the cleanest I've seen, and the wait isnt too bad. When I'm on the machine i only take 25 minutes to donate, the plasma machines are fast!

This is my 3rd time coming. Last visit the guy who ?tried? to start the Iv literally caused a huge amount of bleeding and they ended up using my other arm. I have friends who donate elsewhere (BioLife is the closest to me). They are done like done done in about an hour. I've now been standing in line for over an hour just for the finger poke and vitals. There were 7 people in front of me when I got in line. The guy who destroyed my vein in my other arm is still here. I'm waiting longer if I have to because

Friendly staff. They have done good job improving the process and time getting in and out. Today I checked in at 12:05 and walked out the door at 1:25 and early to my next commitment for the day.

My last experience was horrible! Due to the plasma shortage they're making the patients drink Powerade and it made me sick the last time I donated because of all the artificial preservatives. I explained this to the manager the last time I tried donating and even brought my own electrolyte water but he told me I still couldn't donate unless I drank the Powerade. I had to refuse because I couldn't afford to get another stomachache. Until BioLife allows me to drink my own electrolyte water or the saline short

The staff has exceptional customer service.

I was there for 2 hours for my physical and donation. The staff were excellent with everything. They were nice, talkative, and quick with everything they were doing. The whole process went by fast. The place actually looked clean too. Unlike Octapharma.

Been to 3 different plasma locations, never had a problem. Last time I donated I had to use my right arm when I ALWAYS use my left, the incompetent tech that stuck me with the needle did it wrong and bursted my vein, figured okay it's on my right arm and I never use it I can just use my left next time. I drive 30mins to my appointment, wait in line for an hour, just to be told I can't donate because of my RIGHT arm, my left arm has 2 veins available, so I don't get what the issue was or why they kicked me o

My 8th experience will unfortunately be my last. The lady was clearly not ready to be on her own and my arm has not felt the same since my appointment 5 days ago. I also have significant bruising that I have never had. She didn't feel prepared and her poor technique was obviously as to how she administed the needle and how long it to me to complete the donation.

They have inexperienced people stick you.last time I went she stuck my muscle and not my vein(never seen her before so i know she is new). Then they didn't try the other arm instead she typed some stuff in her pad and said I can leave I was good. Came back next time a manager I never seen before deferred me for the whole week. Not cool. They mess you up then defer you off of their mistakes.

First visit here was close to 4 hours. I figured I'd give them another chance. I shouldnt have. It took me an hour to get into the next line to donate. Looks like there are 13 people ahead of me...I have no hope of going home within the next 2.5 hours. Maybe ill make it out of here before rush hour, fingers crossed! The only thing this place has going for it is that it's clean. Other than that make sure you don't have anything on your schedule if you're coming here.

This place is terrible do not come here for service. They do not accommodate you they have unwritten rules that's not on their website they had me wait 50 minutes and was turned around. The staff don't care about the people that come in and they don't care about donors if I could give them a negative star I would

The staff is all very nice but are all running like chickens with their heads cut off. My first visit they were out of labels so I was unable to donate, second visit (first donation)I was there for 3 hours but it went smoothly. Third visit (second donation) the guy inserted the needle and it instantly bruised, he seen removed and poked the other arm, with him both arms bruised terribly which isn't usually an issue I face. 4th visit I was hooked up to donate machine started then the machine went down, Raj ap

I started feeling hot and sweaty, before I could say anything Madison came over to me alone with the floor manager, I will give her name, but I can't remember it at this time, to see if I was okay. I appreciate how attentive and observing they were. I have been coming to this center for about two years it makes me feel comfortable that they know me well enough to see when something is not right. The staff at livonia BioLife rock's. I will recommend this location I not had one unpleasant encounter.

The poorest service ever, to have an appointment, have to wait 45 minutes then be asked for information, that could've been requested at the time of check in. Don't waste people time or gas by not informing them what they need prior to staying for the appointment. Especially if the information isn't on the site as stated. The amount of uncomfortable this location has turned to kinda made this okay. Unorganized, and definitely Unprofessional as I heard a tech use foul language to a client/patient. Regardless

Staff is great. The price of plasma has gone down tremendously. I donated today and my second month in I made 40$. My second one this week is 80$. The amount of time you wait vs pay it's not worth it. Maybe the first month is but 20 of my 40 is gas money so why bother

I have always had great experiences when i donate here. Staff is always nice and the phlebotomist who stuck me last time (i think her name was narjes?) was very nice even though she was still learning.

Please explain, why over the last month or so, I have been unable to get in and out in under 2.5 hours. Today (Sunday) I had a 8:55am appt. I got there at 845 to find 12 people in front of me (just at the screening area), that wasn't including the people in the waiting room that were "new". I travel, for work, and I go to other locations and NEVER have I been at a location as disorganized, slow moving and time consuming as this location. It's a shame no one is doing anything to fix the problem or limit the

The people are nice and the process is smooth and relaxing. I find that it is a good atmosphere for recurring donations.

They are so short staffed I stood in line by a window that was covered in dust that was flying around during daylight I stood in line so long the sun went down. My allergies flared so bad with the amount of dust by the window standing in line I was embarrassed. Other than that the process was long and they took me off early due to my allergies. Sneezing due to So much apparent dust near the line window. Everyone was nice all in all. The crowd was a bit much for me so I probably won't go back to that specifi

The staff here doesn't care and moves slower than a turtle. They spend more time talking to each other then doing their job. Each visit, lately, is taking longer and longer. The most recent visit took over 2.5 hours ( It took an hour just to sit down into a chair and then once my donation was completed it took an additional half an hour for someone to come and take me down. I'm not sure how this is considered good practices. If you are that short staffed, limit the amount of appointments you have because 15

As a new donor, I had a pretty smooth time. It did take a long time for me to get pumped, but that's to be expected especiallyif you don't have a early morning appointment. The people are a lot nicer here than other places i have been to in the past. My advice is to just be patient and be prepared to be waiting for awhile. They still have quite a few people in training so please just be considerate. I love seeing our younger people making that $$$$$!!!??????????

Honestly, most of their phlebotomists were efficient and super cool. There were only two there that I would try to avoid. Overall good experience until corporate decided that there has to be a certain amount of space that is tattoo-free in the donation space. Non of the phlebotomists had an issue avoiding my tattoos, but now, all of a sudden, ?not eligible.? Waited an hour to find out?

DON'T DO IT!!!!!! You will NOT receive the new donor bonus in full. You'll be able to donate once or twice then they will concoct some bullsh*t every time after as to why you're ineligible to donate and then defer so you cant get the bonus! Why even offer it if you're just gonna not allow people to receive it! Scam!

Shawna was my phleb and she was very helpful.. sshe helped me with Tips on how to not feel pain during the needle injection. She was also the most careful phleb I've I've met

I had an episode where 3ppl was adjusting the needle in my arm and then switching to the other arm, then I couldn't use the rest room during the procedure ? it was terrible

The environment on this date seemed very unprofessional and the young lady that attended me actually seemed like she did not know what she was doing. They had to take the needle out because it was not placed right after I had already began to donate plasma and after about 15 mins blood was spilling out. They then began on my other arm and after ten minutes it was not working either. My appointment was at 6:15 pm I left after an unsuccessful donation at 8:30 pm. That is unacceptable very unprofessional and t

I was very satisfied with my visit because the staff was so friendly and informative. The lady who did my vitals was so kind and professional, she made me laugh and talked me through the whole process. The doctor that did my physical was so informative and patient when answering my questions. I had never seen this doctor there before so I think he might be new to the facility but he did an awesome job. When I wasn't able to get my Saline the doctor gave me snacks and kept a close eye on me to make sure I wa

I am cancelling my first appt that I have scheduled for tomorrow. I have left 3 messages with a couple questions that could not be found on website, and have yet to receive a call back. I came searching for answers about it and seen all these negative reviews. I so wanted to help but if I can't receive a call back in over a week I guess they don't need my donation

This place is ridiculous! Showed up a half hour early for my appointment. I still had to wait 45 minutes to even be seen by anyone. Then I got my vitals taken and blood tested and sat down at a computer to fill out the questionnaire. So far so good. Except for the waiting part. Then I Head to wait again to speak to somebody even before the physical. Because I told him that I had a seizure 14 years ago it disqualified me from donating plasma even though my primary care provider said that it's no cause for co

Very clean and efficient. Most everyone is cordial and professional

Love this place, very organized, professional and clean. My only complaint , after my last donation while scheduling next appointment I received a message that I had to contact the center, I received a call back , was told I had to go in for a blood sample because ?something in my blood was either high or low? told me to return April4th , they would send the sample out and would return in 14 days . No further information was given, nothing like freaking a person out!! That isn't cool , now I will worry for

It was my first time donating plasma and it went really well and I can't wait to do it again

Do I really need to explain. This company I'd bet is having serious issues with donors retention. All exceptions to Dee & Jumoke, they are polite and professional, the staff isn't pleasant. They require you have an appointment and be checked in within 10 mins of that time or your turned around. They do not ever answer their phones. They give the least amount of money after completing your new donor bonus. If you've stopped going for a long time even years, you can not return and receive a new donor bonus. O

Shawna was great! She was very kind and gentle with me for my first time donating! The process is easy and the wait times aren't too bad.

Today was unacceptable! Love the people. I have been donating at this location since they first opened. Since switching to newer, ?faster? machines, the entire donation process now takes 3x as long as it used too. It seems like there are too many appointment times for how short staffed they appear to be. The workers are over-worked and trying to keep up the speed due to how busy they are, which only increases burnout, the risk of error, and injury. The way this location is running is not sustainable. The wa

The staff are excellent! Clearly there is a management/retention issue. I waited two hours for a bed, then 45 mins to donate. The staff are doing the best they can and are very pleasant despite the burdensome work conditions. This location has never been this bad. If something doesn't change they will definitely lose good employees.

Had a pleasure coming here to donate. Terrell was very attentive he made sure I was comfortable he even checked on me throughout the process to make sure everything was running smoothly. Terrell had only been there for a month but told me he's been plasma before. So thankful they have him he's a great attention to the team at Livonia location. His skills are outstanding. He's very knowledgeable about his job and how the donation work. If I could have Terrell has my employee I would try to because that guy d

After "vitals", while waiting in line to get "stuck", I counted 5 empty beds and none of them were "set up", or whatever you call it when you load the bottle and tubing. You were a bit understaffed this day at this time. Anyway, I asked one of the ladies, who was busting her a**, if any of the managers ever come out of the office or the backroom to assist when they are backed up and have 5 empty beds that need to be occupied. This hardworking lady stated the she is a manager to which I replied; Wow, well th

Saw someone on the 28th of January pick up something off the floor-did not discard of gloves and proceeded to unhook someone from the machine with the same gloves.

When I got dizzy and panicked, everyone was quick to help me recover. Dan was especially reassuring. But every employee I spoke with was friendly and helpful, even though they obviously say the same things hundreds of times per day! The facility used technology well, and it runs like a well-oiled machine.

I had a great experience the 1st two times I donated. I literally came 4 times back to back after and wasn't able to donate it's just odd to me. I feel they don't want to give the new donors the bonus foreal and make up stuff saying why you can't donate.

The staff is very polite. They greet you when you walk through the door. Make sure you don't need anything. One particular staff member Shelby always Smiling she make sure you're comfortable and during the donation she ask are you OK? Do you need anything?

I've been coming to this place for well over a year. It was great in the beginning, but has gone downhill in the last six months. Every couple months you see all new faces. The last three times I have walked out of my appointment because I did not have three hours to wait, it never used to be like that

Waited 2 and a half hours for a physical after my appointment time just for them to tell me I had to do a blood draw before I could donate again. Decided to just get it done real quick since I was already there. Waited another 45mins in the chair for something that was going to take a max of 2 minutes to do while the phlebotomist disconnected and hooked up 4 other people, with 2 of the people taking a seat after I did. It's been 3 weeks and they still haven't contacted me regarding my blood work after the 1

Awful experience. Made an apt. For 1:30 and was left in the waiting room for over an hour and a half. People were standing in line waiting for over an hour for a physical. Never going back.

I called several days ago concerning my stuff going on with my account. After not receiving a call back I stopped by 2 days ago on my lunch break to talk to someone. I was told the manager would call me later that day and I have still not recieved a call back. Very frustrating! I will probably have to physically drive there again and wait until a manager will talk to me in person. They definitely have no problem wasting people's time and have terrible follow up!

This was my first time donating. I overall enjoyed the experience except for one nurse having a very unprofessional attitude. Which is unfortunate because it made me want to leave. Luckily another nurse stepped in and apologized for her colleague and I continued with the donation.

These places pay you Pennie?s for your donation even though they make thousands for ea h donation! Now they aren't giving saline back because there's a shortage! Very dangerous in my opinion! Your body needs its plasma!

Extremely biased organization; although professional, very judgemental place of business.

I just donated for the first time. Arrived at 8:30, left at 11:45 which is not bad because they say 2-3 hours. The location is nice, my payment cleared as soon as I finished and all the staff is very nice and attentive to anybody?s needs. All my questions were answered concisely and I felt comfortable. I just didn't like the super long questionnaire for the initial screening. Maybe if it was one or two pages that you can scroll through, that would make the experience better.

Vitals was short handed, they had one of the phlebotomist help out, this person is thee slowest, chattiest, turtle bio life has ever employed. 13 min per patient to check vitals? Finally a second person came in for shift it was taking them about 4 minutes per patient

I had an Issue with my return donor promo. I did everything right, was on time and my last payment was still valid but they never honored It so I never received the last payment. The manager said he didn't understand why I didn't get paid either, told me corporate would have to fix It which of course they never did. No one ever answers the phone, they only keep It on just to say they have a number. Also Instead of calling me when I had an appointment scheduled to tell me I have to see the nurse an that I ca

They'll stick you wrong , and if you complain they'll blame you and threaten to defer you. THEY NEED TRAINING. the government/ health department needs to be involved in there smh. God bles

The two staff members that have been amazing when they took care of me are Heaven and M
