On one of my last visits Tiffany gave me the best service ever. From screening to setting up my stick and flow to my disconnect. With a great smile warm personality and alway attentive to see if I ever needed anything. She made the experience worth the time Thank you guys and thank you Tiffany
Every single person there made me feel welcome! I loved all the staff! Clean facility, was guided extremely well, amazing experience! The staff was what made my experience wonderful. Truly I don't remember a time I left smiling due to such nice people! Above and beyond, professional and friendly, respectful and knowledgeable and willing to answer all my questions with patience.
The front desk staff are very friendly and happy to take care of you! As you venture to the back to do a physical and then the procedure itself they are careful with you. Esme made my donation very simple and she had an answer for every question. Great place to contribute!
I was a first time donor today and was made to feel very, very comfortable. Everyone was so informative, thorough, and nice. This location is really clean and well taken care of. My phlebotomist was Analise(I think that's her name)- she was very helpful and handled everything with care. I was really nervous about going in today, but I'm glad I did. I'll definitely return!
Clean facility, professional and friendly staff and no issues with the process on the back area. We had a blonde girl and black guy(sorry didn't catch names) helping us, they are amazing and so gentle . The lady was helping everyone and the guy was very kind and checked on me while i donated which most places don't. You've got new donors after summer break
My last experience was awful it was the black girl she didn't even fells for my vein b4 she stuck me and she was rude because of me flinching. She stuck me two times when I told her that my other arm was not a good arm to poke now I am all brused from it.but other than that my experiences were amazing. Love the staff and the environment
Best plasma center. I've been to.thus far. Very clean. Staff is amazing. Maddison ( maddie) was amazing. Very impressed she hit my vein head on. Their usually stubborn .. deff will be returning and referring others
They are very friendly and make sure they are attentive to each and every person that's donating. I have had only one visit that was not a perfect score but over all I like it the place is clean n employees polite and make sure your comfortable. Anyone everyone interested in donating should definitely go to this spot
I had a great experience! I've donated at another center but I love how professional the environment is and how friendly and personable the employees are. Definitely will be sticking with them. The employees are so friendly and attentive!
Worst experience I've had in my life. The staff is nice enough, and they do their best, but out of 6 donations only 2 went well. The other times were terrible, was stuck in both arms 4 different visits, only to be deffered by them for my blood loss due to their incompetence! I won't return to let them butcher me any longer.
I love this place, they are introvert-friendly, clean, professional and quick. I've donated at another plasma center *cough* KED in the past and this is worlds apart. The phlebotomists are not berrated by the floor manager, they don't need supervision, everything happens naturally and smoothly. I wish I had known about this place sooner....
If i could leave zero stars i would. Customer service is absolutely atrocious. They will never answer calls during business hours and will return no voice mails or answer questions through the app. Five days and no payment for the third time in two months. Have had to file a complaint through state attorney general. The worst customer service i have ever encountered.
Staff is very friendly, I was well kept up with and informed for both appointments. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who will listen!
Their team is so nice and makes you feel very comfortable. The nurse, Leanne was exceptional and made me feel less anxious about the process!
I'm extremely disappointed with the service at BioLife in Lubbock. My husband went there to donate blood ? an act of kindness and generosity ? and was turned away simply because he doesn't speak English. It's unacceptable and discriminatory to deny someone the opportunity to help others based on language. There should be staff or accommodations in place for Spanish speakers, especially in a diverse community like Lubbock. Shame on this center for turning away willing donors for such an unfair reason. Fortu
The staff was so courteous. I worked with Tiffany, Joe, and David. They made this first time such a great experience.
The staff was so kind, very patient and willing! Tiffany went above and beyond to ensure my visit went as planned, the environment was clean, and it was a comfortable space. I highly recommend this location compared to other plasma locations :)
I would love to thank the wonderful people at Biolife for there kindness and care they take with all the clients. Arianna and Madisen are top notch in there duties and making you feel comfortable an safe in there care. Keep up the great job.
Someone who I haven't seen there before did my stick. It barely hurt at all and my donation went very smoothly. His name is Cache.
Understaffed !! It's Sunday not as many people as usual , should be in and out pretty quick..After standing for a hour my lower back and calf muscles are aching.. Stick was not good , machine started beeping, two more different people tried to adjust They are in rush ! Nurse had a nasty attitude..Place has gone downhill since opening..Will be donating somewhere else !!
They use to be so good and safe. More recently they have become a bit careless. They rush and I told them the time before last that it was not in and they did not listen and they took the needle out with the cuff still on. Blood spilled and I almost passed out. However there are a few that make it better! Tristen and Brook and Angel are the best and they care and take time and I never have issues with them. If they are not there I'm always nervous I'm going to get hurt or pass out. I need the money for my
I was definitely a little nervous with it being my first time but the people working the machines were very nice and friendly with me, helping relieve my nerves a little bit
Worst place in town to donate. To bad they have the best rewards.. they have an app that tells you how much you will make with each donation, but that app lies and will give you the wrong amount and when you try to go talk then about they are useless and could care less about you, or your problems. I've donated at many places and never had problems. But they didn't even check my stick today and filled my arm full of blood on a return. They didn't seem to care at all about this and the company doesn't even p
There is NEVER enough staff for the appointments they have posted ! Was there yesterday and sections were open with nice beds empty and employees just chatting . Asked someone up front if there were closing the sections or what because they had empty beds . Her response was BS as always Ans said That wasn't her sections but that they would Be right with us , meaning all of 18 waiting In line . Poor customer service. Hire more ppl or reduce the hours blocked off To keep earning business .
My last couple of appointments have been great. There has been plenty of Staffing and it went smooth. Most days there are so many clients that there is an extensive wait especially with less employees.
I must say the staff here moves with urgency and treats everyone with love! Tiffany is AMAZING! She is very bubbly and a major piece of BioLife's team. Kudos to all staff!
I visited biolife on Feb 27 2025. Shortly after I was sat in a chair I was told to go up front first. I was told one of their employees heard me say the "n" word. I hadn't, but they banned me for life anyhow and arranged for a police offixer escort for me out of the building. Living that experience taught me a few things about myself as a person anyway though. I feel that it will ultimately help me grow into a better person in the long run. Thank you, Bio Life staff Lubbock!
Dont come here unless you are willing to be there for 3.5 hours and wait THREE TIMES. Once for the vitals, once for bed wait, and once again when you even get sat in a bed. I tried going in the morning today because I heard it was better, lies. The ONLY good time is as soon as they open. The whole reason I started donating was because it took an hour to get 4 hours worth of pay at my job. Now i might as well just work more (working college student) which i dont have the time for and neither do i have the t
Unless you want to be treated like garbage ?with a smile,? don't go here. Upon arriving, there was this girl with blue hair who asked if I registered on the BioLife app to get an appointment, but I told her ?no,? and that I couldn't be seen today without not because of this. This is crap! A little of people don't have cell phone technology nor a computer at their home, so what the hell?! Anyway, I lucked out to be seen because I told her I registered at an earlier date with the app, so I was able to ?be lo
Place is clean and everyone is very friendly. Michelle did my physical and I would like to give her a special thank you. She is a shining star!!
They never EVER answer a phone. So don't even bother trying to call them. They don't care. They're blatantly turning away new donors and finding any and every reason to turn away people who need this donation to survive and the donor needs this to eat. y?all need to choose another pay card system. i?m tired of losing money EVERY SINGLE TIME i get gas. i even go inside and pay with the pin and i still have to wait 1-2 days before this ?hold? comes back even though I GO INSIDE TO PAY FOR GAS! I've never even
I only donated plasma at BioLife two times, and I will not go back. The nurse, and the staff at the front were pretty good, and they were professional. The phlebotomists were immature and focused more on bantering with each other than being professional. The last time I went there (yesterday), the young lady who started my procedure had my arm leaking blood, but fortunately, it clotted, so I could proceed. While I lay on the bed, I watched about 4 girls banter and "play argue" like jr. high girls. I tuned t
Why the appointments? You still have to stand in line for 1 hour while they have 1 screener for existing donors and 2 for new donors. Took 10 minutes per person and there were at least 8-10 people ahead of me. It should not take 2 1/2 hours to donate! That is why we schedule appointments! It doesn't help that new donors get treated like royalty and the existing donors get treated like crap!
Don't know if I made a mistake by switching donations places the front staff was nice the back of the donation center unfortunately had Arianna she was rude didn't seem like she cared about her job just here for a paycheck complaining to a donor that she is not treated like a person here at work but also didn't treat her donor like a person you treat people with the same respect you want to receive seems like she should change her career
The staff is very friendly and do a great job! The young lady Gabrielle that took care of me today was amazing. She is focused on her job and gets it done while being very social and friendly. Great group of individuals all around!
Front staff is great back staff diff story- lazy act as if they don't want to be there. When done dont immediately disconnect you rather stand around to finish their conversation. CSL way better
Very clean facility. Cold so wear something warm. Very nice staff.
After spending 4 hours attempting to complete the new donor process, I was informed that I could not donate nor complete the physical. The issue was that I had not eaten 3 hours prior to arriving but I had explained that to the phlebotomist that helped me check in and she just handed me several snacks and told me to eat that and I could continue the process after a nurse looked at my arm to verify the burns I had from work were no issue. I waited 40 minutes for her to take 3 minutes to look at my arm and de
This place sucks, I wasn't able to donate because my veins were too small( not their fault) but whenever I left they said they would still go ahead and send me my 90 dollar payment, yet it's been almost two weeks and I still haven't gotten my payment and I had a phone representative tell me as well that they would send it, I need you guys to send me my 90
I like the staff and the fact the machines make the donation process so much quicker, BUT this place really needs to re-evaluate their scheduling process. With my work schedule and other obligations I don't have a lot of "free" time to be at the donation center for hours when I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED! The last 2 days I had a scheduled appointment, drove across town from work to BioLife, and turned around and walked out because I knew I would be there much longer than the amount of time I had on my
Going to BioLife is a good experience. Please allow yourself 2 hours from check in to end of plasma process. The staff is great. I know everyone wants to be in and out ASAP, but that won't happen with a process like this. Please be kind because they are doing the best they can with the high volume of customers.
Clean and reliable staff for the procedure. But the drama!!!! One time after work, I came in, and because I was a little dirty after waiting in line for an hour, they told me. I stink and was told I can not donate. Another time, one person was digging quite a bit, trying to find a vain, and another person was called over. I said nothing to the person who was digging. I just told the next person that it hurt the way they were digging, and they told me next time that if I complain again, I will forever BANNE
Really the worst place to donate plasma. Better off finding another place! Not true to anything they say and very disrespectful front receptionist. Was told they would fix one of there mess ups on a previous donation. And once I asked they told me they would not!! Hope this helps:)
As a first time donor, this experience was not good. After I told the phlebotomist that my left arm may be difficult to find a vein, she proceeded to stick me and fully put the needle in and then took it out because she was having difficulty finding a flow. So then she goes to my other arm and all is fine. 30 mins into donating, the machine stops and she proceeds to pull the needle in and out as I was telling her that it was burning. After that I did not receive all my blood back nor saline as a first time
Everyone working here was great, they all had good attitudes and tried to make it an easy process. I will say if you are a new customer go before 2:00pm they get really busy
Took a while for my first time in but that's normal! They treated me well explained everything well and stuck me on their first try! I will try to get the name of the girl who stuck me! Tall blonde super sweet had a convo with me and made me feel comfortable!! I absolutely love this place! They did amazing! Wonderful place! Will be coming back! ??????
Easiest situation when you need to call and talk to somebody it does take them forever to ever answer the phone. Some people don't intend to be living in town and they need to ask questions and your phone service is there are poor
They are slow at pinning ppl to get the donation going. I've been sitting waiting for someone to pin my arm to get started an these young kids just stand there talking an etc. They just go around picking who they want to attend to. Literally sitting here going on 40 minutes an still no one. This place is slow an to many inexperienced staff working
First time process was lengthy but not ridiculous. Seems like returning donors move through fairly quickly. Jalisa (hope I spelled it right) set me up and she was great!
I have been to mini plasma centers and this by far is the crappies one For some reason, they've denied me from donating and I've called them 20 times in the past week and left four voicemails and I've yet to get a hold of somebody very crappy business motto plus you stand in lines for two hours. Take call to a bed to sit there for an hour before they even take care of you after you donate you sit there for 30 minutes waiting for them to come unconnected you. So you can deal with your daily chores
Nice staff. I'm a little concerned I've never seen them change gloves. Ever!!! Don't understand appointments if I'm going to wait anyway. Didn't tell me about first responder donation bonus. But everyone is nice. And they do seem understaffed. And working as hard as they can. I just don't understand if I have to change gloves, wash my hands, use hand sanitizer between each pt? Why wouldn't they have to?
Went in for the second time this week to try to donate due to the saline shortage supply. They explained to me that I needed to drink a drink and it offered a snack. The note at the vital line simply states that you must drink 8 1/2 ounces of the 12 ounce Powerade and no well not a requirement the goldfish snack aid in the process. They turned me down to donate because I refuse to eat the goldfish even though they're but they're not their plan as they says not a requirement To eat the snack. customer servic
It was my first time to donate, and I was nervous. The staff did an excellent job at explaining everything to me, and making me feel comfortable. The process ran smoothly, and everyone was very friendly.
They don't know how to answer their phones. I have been calling for days and left messages but nothing. Also I don't think half the conversations I have heard from employees while donating should be allowed on the floor. Inappropriate and nasty conversations.
Use to be a great place. They don't care the wait is forever. The last 2 times I've donated it s taken 3 hours. I do not recommend them at all. Schedule your employees right. I do feel for the employees. It's definitely a management problem
Ainslie made this such a positive experience! I am scared of needles and she was such a bright light of joy. I will definitely be going back purely to how positive she made this for me. She is so kind and was so caring for me as a first time donor!!!
It's was a chill experience every person that had helped me out was calm and nice with telling me the process and procedures.
I had an excellent experience at BioLife Plasma Center. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. The facility is clean, well-organized, and welcoming, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The staff took the time to explain the donation process to me, ensuring I was comfortable and informed at every step. They were attentive and made sure I was well taken care of throughout my visit. The donation process itself was quick and painless
I have been going for a little over a month. Everyone has been very helpful and nice. The process can be lengthy at times so you have to go in with an open mind and don't be in a hurry. Clean and comfortable environment. It's cool to know your saving someone's life or even changing their life with your donation, all while also making a little bit of extra cash. I would give 5 stars but the bathroom stall has been broken for the last couple of weeks and it really should have been taken care of by now.
I'll be honest. This is a review I don't want to write. First and foremost, the majority of the staff here are phenomenal and are great interacting with donors. Heck, I've even bought Sonic drinks for staff members because of how much fun it can be. They work super hard and come in on their days off when the center is short. Not to mention, they care about diversity and always come back by to make sure I'm doing okay if the machine alerts, truly listen, and ensure that they don't risk my overall health.
Appointments do not come in handy as it took 1 hour for me to even get seated. It would not be as horrible of a thing if the staff were nice and didn't dislike their jobs. Every time I have come in to this facility I hear at least 3 employees talk about how much they do not enjoy their jobs, how bad management is, or how they just ?zone out? during the screenings because it is boring- the list goes on but these were the few that stuck with me. You can also expect to hear lots of profanity from the employees
I'm a new donor and from the moment I walked in, I was greeted immediately. The whole check in and physical process was relatively fast. The lady that took my vitals was nice and friendly. Alyssa explained the whole process once I got in a chair, she was extremely helpful. I felt comfortable the entire time. I had a great experience.
They way over book ! Making an appointment feels pointless when you sit in a line for 2 hours . At this point in time I count about 50 people waiting in line . The employees are super nice and trying to keep up but whoever is in charge of how many people can get booked needs to be fired .
First time donor and Angel was the sweetest and took her time to help me understand the procedure. Caroline came and once I was done made sure I was in the proper health sat me down and Tristan came and explained how to keep my water intake up and my after care as a donor. Place is clean and patient glad I was recommended here.
Made over a hundred DONATIONS would like a little more money please don't get me wrong but it seems like I'm getting less and less money per visit and yes I know I'm helping people but I also need help just left they said protein was high couldn't donate would love to have gotten a text had to drive a long way for nothing and 2 DONATION gone no cash how convenient.
Tell me why this place will not let me donate because I have tattoos that is so crazy and then they refuse the lady service because she went inside got signed in went back to her car to get her keys came back in and they told her no because she left after doing questions on the computer not cool very disappointing what's the point of this place being opened....
This place sucks we had to wait to get paid they were so behind and the workers were just sanding around talking looking at us like if you don't like your job go some were els
When I walked in I was greeted immediately which was nice and different from other plasma centers I've been to. I came in as a new donor and had someone walk me through the steps of what the process would look like. Everyone was so friendly and made me feel comfortable. The new donor process usually takes a while which it did but I didn't mind because everyone kept me informed on what was going on. Karen was the one who stuck me and before she even came close to sticking me she did an excellent job of descr
It was my first time there and everyone was so kind! I enjoyed it and I will be back
I would like to give these guys 4 stars, but here is why not. You can call, but they will not answer, nor will they call you back. The people who work there are hit or miss, both in Lubbock and Austin. You've got attentive people, who care, those who just are there to make a buck, and those who just don't care at all. If consistency was important, they would take more time vetting their applicants. Perhaps all the managers are not all that exceptional, but you will run into some that really listen! Lastly,
There are some really awful people here. I recommend going to KED Plasma. They pay more, and are far more professional.
The facility is appointment based which helps control the volume of donors. When being screened, if blood levels are not sufficient for donating there are many staff members knowledge with what a donor can do to help protein levels, ect. Staff is friendly and easy to talk to about any questions or concerns. The set up of the facility is organized and thorough with making sure all new donors, repeat donors are able to go in and get out in a reasonable timely manner. For a first time donor, over all, I had a
The staff is always having fun every time I come in for a donation! The process is quick, easy and enjoyable! Thanks!
As a new donor only for 20$ each for my first 2 times. Will not be returning, I will be going to another plasma center and will never recommend BioLife to anyone who asks about donating plasma.
This place gets slower and slower every time. Then they have 18 people in line but two whole sections closed. Used to be here for max a hour. Now I'm lucky if I'm out in two hours. Time to find a new place to donate
Scheduled my appointment as a new donor. I was aware it could take a few hours. It's 4 o'clock and I got here at 1:15 for my 1:30 appointment and they still haven't completed my physical. Tell me to eat an hour prior and now I'm hungry again. I don't think I will be back
1st time here, not a long wait to be seen at 11:30, a positive experience, the employees are very kind and professional. Also compensation is fair.
I just started donating at the beginning of this month and my experience here has been amazing. Jasmin, Gabby, and Angel has made my donating experience feel safe, trusted, and in good hands. I was very scared and nervous coming in for my first donation but Michelle, the nurse, and the phlebs listed above guided me throughout the entire process and made me feel better about it. These people are the best!!!!
I've been putting off reviewing this place for a very long time because I really didn't want to leave a negative review. There are so many helpful employees that are absolutely great at what they do, Tristan and Tiffany to name a couple. The only reason for my negative review is the amount of time it takes to donate. I'm more upset because you need an appointment to donate, meaning they wayy over book appointments. I mean to the point where it's ridiculous. I've tried morning, afternoon, and evening, I thin
1 star is way too good for this dumpster fire bs highway robbery operation. As soon as I entered the place I asked if me being on testosterone replacement therapy was gonna be an issue. The girl said that I would have to wait to ask the nurse later in the process. Fast forward 4 and a half hours (not an exaggeration!), I finally reached the next step in this nonsense, oh and No, I can't donate until I get a letter from my testosterone doctor! They wasted 5 hours of my day for nothing!!! They made sure to as
I loved & enjoyed it so much.I wanna thank the beautiful lady who did my physical she was the most wonderful and amazing person and especially the assistant manager.I will be back again thank each one of y?all dearly god bless and merry Christmas and a happy new year
I had an appointment today at 8:10am The line for the screening was ridiculous. There was only two screeners waited in line for an hour after the screening. I was setting on the donation bed. The machine broke before they could stick me. They had me waiting more time so they can reboot my name or something, I had to leave I couldn't wasted any more time, I could no longer wait because I had a job to get to at 10am. I will not return there.
The process is always over 2 hours! There is never enough staff checking donors in so the line gets backed way up! The check in kiosk calibration was off said I missed 1 question then I had to get out of line to see a nurse then get back in line do all the vitals then get in the long line waiting for a bed then wait on the bed for another 30+ minutes getting skipped over because they don't pay attention to first come first to donate. Then this visit the girl caused me a hematoma & I couldn't donate after a
UPDATE: In case anyone was wondering, I did reach out on their website and no one ever contacted me. After really high hopes for this company, this week was my last appointment. Since day one, this BioLife location has been a mess. On opening day, I had an appointment scheduled for 1:40pm but didn't end up leaving until after 7:00pm. When I was finally hooked up to donate, their machine had an error so they had to end my donation just as it started. I've now completed 21 appointments. The average time f
Long lines are unpleasant, but under staffing is everywhere these days, they do a pretty good job on getting donator through the process. Most times the process is relatively pain free. The employees are constantly moving, but still pleasant and friendly.
First time ever donating. Everything was clean, organized, informational and all staff super kind.
This is gonna be long but I'll tell you exactly why this place was a joke. I've gone in trying to donate multiple times for over a month. Each time I go in it's something different than the last time they wouldn't let me donate. First it was proof of residency needed (other than a photo ID). I had over heard the guy in front of me say something about a bill so I asked the receptionist to confirm and that's exactly what she said. Yet, when my grandma went in with me all she needed was her ID, they didn't eve
Esme!!!!! U make my donation easier.i have so much trouble when I donate ..ty so much for making my life easier
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
