Reviews are mixed, with many praising friendly staff and efficient processes when things go smoothly, but frequent complaints about long wait times, understaffing, payment issues, and inconsistent service quality. Several donors report problems with inexperienced technicians causing painful donation experiences, while others highlight cleanliness concerns and poor communication. Positive experiences emphasize courteous employees and quick service, but negative reviews often cite broken promotions, deferred donations for minor reasons, and lack of loyalty rewards for regular donors. Everyone at the Maple Grove location from start to finish was very pleasant. Dani was at my color station and was the most friendly and personable employee I've encountered yet. She made small talk with me the whole time she was hooking me up and checked back even to make sure things were going well. She was all together fabulous!!

This is a wonderful place to donate plasma! I have come here to donate plasma 3 times now and each time they have taken amazing care of me. All of the nurses / doctors are absolutely friendly, sweet and knowledgeable. You can tell that they have a lot of pride in the lifesaving work they do. Donating plasma is safe and beneficial for everyone involved! I encourage you to make an appointment today, they have so much flexible availability. These nurses and doctors working here daily to change lives deserve al

Girl at the front desk was incredibly rude. Her and multiple other people there treated me very poorly as a wheelchair user. They wasted 2 hours of my time only to tell me that, upon looking things up in their system, I couldn't qualify as a donor due to my disability. This information could've been told to me much sooner, and I could have gone about my day instead of wasting time. Staff(especially the woman at the front) needs to learn professional manners and how to treat disabled people as actual humans.

Not the most high tech or updated place. My complaint isn't actually with bio-life, but with the award company they have for their payment on the debit cards. Although it's instant payment, random charges will occur for random prices. To the point that I thought my card was stolen because it had 13 $9 purchases on the same day. Exactly $9. And they don't have merchants of where it claims the money went. I use this card strictly for gas and savings. When I spend money on gas, I only pre pay and I always pay

I have never had any issues here. Everyone is kind, speedy, efficient and friendly. Just calling out two of my recent, Dani and Liz. Both have made my experiences wonderful. I never waited more than 10 mins in line. Longest I was ever here total was an hour. Still worth it. I couldn't find a job that paid that an hour. Be patient, don't get frustrated, that's how you raise you BP . Follow their guidelines.

Went well. I was dissapointed wirh the tech that pulled the needle out of my arm. She left a line bruise. Please be mote careful pulling it out. Thanks!

I recently expressed serious concerns regarding the sanitation practices at this blood donation center, specifically the apparent lack of glove changing between donors. My observations during a subsequent visit confirmed my initial concerns. Technicians continue to use gloves visibly soiled with blood, posing a significant risk of disease and virus transmission. This establishment's practices appear to be in direct violation of FDA regulations and demonstrate a complete disregard for donor health. The si

Sanitation at this center is terrible. Their bathrooms don't get attended to and will be out of order for weeks on end. It definitely doesn't look like it's being cleaned daily. The women?s bathroom is just as bad. Their sinks have been plugged up for over a month and the rolls of toilet paper sit on top of the sanitary napkin container or end up on the floor. I've seen staff not staying prestistant with wiping or cleaning things after every donor. There have been times I've even seen them not change gloves

This place is a waste of time and they have no intentions of actually paying you the full amount of the new donor bonus. I got turned away 3 different times during my eight week period. Once for my iron being one point under the required number. Once for my blood pressure being one point over the required number and today they did a little razzle dazzle. When the young lady checked my vitals she said my blood pressure was too high, one point over the required number and did I want to wait five or ten minut

This facility is a breeding ground for infection. The persistent filth and blatant disregard for basic hygiene are appalling. Technicians routinely use blood-contaminated gloves, demonstrating a shocking level of laziness and a complete lack of concern for patient safety. Despite repeated complaints, the owner's dismissive responses prove their utter lack of integrity. They prioritize profit over patient well-being, refusing to address the dangerous practices of their lazy and unsanitary staff. This place n

Very busy place. Doesn't seem to have enough workers. A lot of parts moving but nothing is happening quickly. At my last visit I had one poke and she missed on my best arm that has a good vein. She asked for her coworker to assist with adjusting the needle. She came over to assist with no success. She asked for another gal to come over to assist, she tried to adjust the needle then decided to look at the other arm. She poked that arm and missed then states that she will not continue to poke me so we are goi

Very dishonest people! My only problem with them is they will try anything to make excuses to not pay you the bonus for the new donors. I was fine until my fourth donation when I was told by the Nurse that they have to take a sample of my blood again because it had high lipids when they took it on my first donation. This will only make sense if they stopped the donations after the first session. They try to let the first time donor bonus period expire and then want you to return to them and donate for the l

Nice people and a clean facility but after the initial get started money they pay you the first month then they drop it to 110 for 2 visits a week. With the money they make on our plasma we should at least get the 180-200 a week like the first 8 visits were!! They pay Pennie?s on the dollar for our plasma it's kind of sad they are so greedy!

They do a fine job, but they're the most understaffed Biolife I've been to. There is always a wait for a tag almost anytime you come in. There's always empty sections with nobody working them, and no floats to help when sections open or get cleared out all at once. Yeah Maple Grove is the worst location. I've been ready for a disconnect for 10 min, but im being ignored. The tech decided to setup another station, and then proceed to hook up someone else. Then they disappeared.

Hire some real professionals and not trainees The lady messed up my arm and I'm still in pain She put the big needle in my arm to start donation without first of all finding the right vein and that caused my arm to start swelling up during the donation, I called their attention and she stopped the donation and switched over to the other arm to complete the donation. My first arm swelled up and still in pain now. Most of the people you have at the centre is just trainees, you're playing with people's life!

So many things can defer you that there is no warning for. Not even about being healthy, just nit picky things which I see why they do, but no warning after taking hours out of my day now twice to do exactly as they asked, and again want me to wait several days more. I've waited. And waited. And waited. Don't waste your time. Chances of you actually donating your first time (or second) are way lower than anyone lets you think.

I just want to say what a pleasure it is to work with Makenna when I come in for plasma donations. She just makes me feel like you're the only one there when she is taking care of you for your donation. When she puts the needle in to start the donation I never feel it. I always look forward to getting her for my donation but it doesn't happen all that often so it is special when I get her. Great job Makenna!

Don't believe the promo. It's a total scam. They'll have you drive all the way up there then tell you "oops! Your heart rate is magically 1BPM too fast!" Or "Oops! Your iron is too high!" But when you ask to see the results they can't help you. Saw multiple people who were clearly junkies that had no issue donating. Watched one guy cough non stop the whole time who was able to donate. What's the difference? They were past the bonus period so were basically getting paid nothing. I'd love to see the data on e

Very professional business. The staff is very good at what they do and very efficient ! Special kudos to Deb at the front desk. She is exceptional in every way and they are very blessed to have her !

Always fun to donate but I have realized that you guys don't really take care of your loyal donors. I've donated 600+ times and never get any coupons or anything to show my loyalty. My wife always gets coupons and even her payments each week are $120 and I only get $110 once again the loyal ones get screwed. The lines are maple grove are always terrible so kind defeats the purpose of a donation time. I just really wish you would take care of your loyal donors just as much as your new donors.

I have serious concerns regarding the hygiene and safety protocols observed at this donation facility. During several donations over the past month, I repeatedly witnessed technicians attempting to draw blood while wearing gloves that were contaminated with blood. On each occasion, when I raised this concern with nursing staff, I was informed that technicians are only required to change gloves when visibly soiled, not between each patient. This practice is highly concerning, particularly given the appare

Immediately no. Everyone's in a bad mood and have no idea what they're doing. I agree that glove hygiene is lacking. Also, I was there for 3 hrs. Waited an hr to see a nurse because I accidentally said I didn't read the poster. I don't need money that bad.

You changed the amount that you get to donate. Like it's really not with it because I got 90 for the first 3 donations and my next amount was suppose to be a $100 but if said you get $50 for one then $70 for the next but it's wasn't clarified in the app. Then this promotion isn't worth it. I didn't think it's fair that I didn't get to get the amounts that were down on my app. When I set up my February 16th visit that should have been my $100 donation.

The staff are all very friendly. However, my last donation left me with a saline hematoma, a sore and bruised arm. This is just the day after. I'm going to hold off donating for awhile. There was no one that came through the area I was in to make sure everyone was ok, so hard to call someone over until the machine went off.

For one I was under the impression I would get 50 on top of the donation not just 50 for my donation. I drive over an hr to get there plus wear an tare on my car then hr back so it's over 3hrs total. First person poked through my vein an someone else had to poke my other arm. I will not be donating again 50 dollars dosent even cover my time let alone gas an wear an tare.

The women's bathroom is terrible! One facet says out of order, it doesn't drain. Soap dispenser is broken, paper towel dispenser doesn't work, toels lay on counter and get wet

I had a good experience but I'm canceling the next four appointments I have scheduled because the amount that I get keeps going down and one of my coworkers that donates is getting way more. Not sure what the deal is but I'm not going to continue doing it for $105 for two donations per week.

I enjoy going to donate the staff is friendly I am comfortable while donating. The amount of money is definitely worth every penny especially to know that I am helping people in need.

Deb at the front counter is not warm or welcoming. Pretty rude and hard of hearing. Did not enjoy my initial start here

On my last visit on the 31st Tasha was great. i was done in 35 min. She was also friendly. Before that Lynda, Kaitlyn and Maggie were also very good.

Lines have gotten really ridiculous! An average visit now is almost 2 hours per a donation! People don't want to wait that long for only 120 dollars a week. The communication between staff is horrendous! One person tells you to go to on spot, another looks at you like you don't know what you're doing when you were just doing what you're told. Then they wonder why no one wants to do a physical or see the nurse, that just adds another half hour to your visit. It's gotten really bad. In the past it was pretty

Long lines decreased payment has you donate more only to wait in lines more. Not using all 6 bed in pods to only using 4 like three years ago make waiting longer. With all the same reviews people have posted on here you don't change a thing too make things better for the donors, and that is how big corporate runs. They don't care.

Very friendly staff. Everyone works incredibly hard and I greatly appreciate everything they do to strive for a speedy process.

Great service, friendly staff. It was busy around dinner time, but I was in and out within 45-50 minutes.

I would Highly Recommend Anyone to Donate Plasma at Biolife if they want to Save Lives while making Money!!! I feel Very Safe Donating there & find the Staff to be Extremely Friendly!!!

This location has gonna downhill the past 3 months. What use to be an hour in and out has consistently turned into close to 90 minutes! If you can't keep up with the volume of clients coming in, don't allow so many appointments! Top it off, you DECREASE the compensation amount with longer donation times? These long waits were understandable during Covid but not now. The staff is great and professional and these long waits aren't on them, it's on BioLife as a whole!

Everything ran smoothly this morning. Staff is friendly. Shout out to Ben who was patient with me to get it working just right.

I've been donating here off and on for a year and a half. It was really good for a long time. Recently, wait times have gotten REALLY bad. Today, the line to get my finger pricked was literally wrapping the entire way around the front room. I'm not sure why this happens, since people are here with appointments. Are they giving out too many appointments? They need to figure out their scheduling. I'll try another location, but I'm not confident it will be less busy.

My experience have been good after the first 8 donations the compensation amount can vary differently would recommend to a new donor ??

The staff is fantastic. Corporate has changed the scheduling and now you wait an hour in lines before you can even donate. They need to limit the appointments so people can get in and out faster. They just want to herd us like cattle. Hopefully this can be fixed.

Staff at BioLife are courteous and helpful in instructing how the donation process works. Pleasant atmosphere while visiting every week to make my donation. Thank you everyone.

I've donated at the maple grove facility for 4 years?went in for my annual physical *note I have 10-15 tattoos*. Last year THEY failed to document new one. So when I went in today I was questioned in a way to where they accused of hiding information even tho all said tattoos are visible. They wanted time stamped photos of each tattoo of when it was done? After about an hour the nurse said I could no longer donate at BioLife because I was ?to much of a hassle with all my tattoos? My most recent tattoo was do

I'd like to give 0 stars if i could! This place use to be a great place to donate when they didn't over book. The last couple years has been horrible but today was unbelievable! I Walked in today at 11am, the tag line to get a bed was 30 people deep. Not even worth the money anymore to keep coming back here!

Have been coming to this location for a couple months now. I've had consistent issues donating when I get one employee. On my first donation I got her and she misplaced my needle 3 different times until I was so light headed I could not donate. The second time I got her same issue, had to replace the needle multiple times all while complaining about the section I was in (which was the section she had told me to go to?) And was complaining to me about how bad of a day she was having. The employees next to

Staff are super friendly but the wait time is getting out of hand. I watched an entire episode of Gotham between waiting to get finger pricked and waiting for a bed. My whole stay was 2 hours. It's getting to the point where we should get more money or you need to hire more people

Lines too long, should not have to stand in line LONGER than it takes to donate plasma. The staff is usually friendly, yet they sometimes seem stressed out due to overbooking. Also, the points system is a joke, they need to go back to the old system of actual cash for categories like 8 donations in a month, or cash on your 4 or 6 donation. Also the joke of the points system to encourage recruiting new donors compared to the reasonable $50 for referrals. The points don't translate into a reasonable reward.

Run pretty efficiently BUT they are WOKE!!! STAY AWAY! Then if you post something Negative on Google, they will etch away at your financial incentive.

I went to donate my plasma. The first time I went they told me that I had to get notes from my dr because I am bipolar and I had to get a drs note from my neck surgeon from 2002 to make sure my head won't fall off I guess. They didn't have good reasoning for this. We I drove out there today 50 minutes with my paperwork to be told well the "dr" has to look over it and approve it before I can donate something that they are in need of. Hell it is was easier to get approved through the bca to work for them.

I have been donating plasma here for about 6 months now and have always had a good experience (wait time, process, friendly staff...all great) EXCEPT for yesterday 8/29/24. Unfortunately the tech went too deep with the needle and it was not drawing my blood. The machine was stopping every 5 minutes and a staff would have to come over and get it going again. Eventually they pulled the needle back a bit and were wiggling it around in my arm (which was quite umcomfortable) to get it placed better t9 draw blood

I'm super upset- I have called 3 times and left 3 separate messages because I was promised $40 on first donation and $75 on second? time & gas to drive is not free. I've appreciated the new needles they use and the staff has seemed so wonderful every time I've donated but as of right now I'm EXTREMELY upset. They did $40 & $40 for each visit? $35 is a lot of money to miss out when this is something I do for two reasons 1.) extra money for my family 2.) to help people? for the money everyone makes off the pl

First experience was amazing. Everyone was very friendly, and informative. Second, no. I got a trainee, which is fine, but, she wasn't being monitored?and dug around in my vein attempting to make adjustments. When she finally got ahold of another worker, I got to hear about how bad she had to pee. She moved to my other arm, but it was too late. I had a red blood cell loss. Apparently, if I get another, I can't donate for over 8 weeks. I left not understanding the process, if it was my fault, or if I was goi

You need to stop overbooking your time slots, our staff more to accommodate the excess patient load. Two and a half hours is too long if a time frame.

I became a plasma donor almost a year ago. The process is fairly simple & I like knowing I'm giving back. It is also nice to receive compensation for my time. The Maple Grove location is clean, staff is friendly & the Technicians always make me feel comfortable & are genuinely concerned about my safety & comfort. Some times the clinic can be busy & there is a longer wait time to begin the donation process but you have to remember when it's your turn you'll receive the same great care.

Definitely understaffed, but everyone was nice and the process is pretty easy, if you're healthy... I will say I find it ridiculous that they can't pierce through tattoos though... If you're tattooed on your inner arms covering your veins at all, they will not let you donate, fyi!

lines were longer. the compensation has been lowered again. all in all, I'm rethinking continuing after my next appointment. I have sent many comments and messages to customer service that are never responded to. If you want my feedback, it would be nice to know you really want it and care about what I am saying

Beth one of the nurses was AMAZING. she was so concerned about the fact that i came for the first time and it was crazy busy! she was very nice, open, and just overall a great person to do your physical with! she made me feel comfortable for my first experience at biolife!!!!!!!!!!!

I avoided donating in the past thinking it would be so time consuming and a hassle getting screened to see if I was even eligible, but at BioLife your in and out in an a hour and the screening process and first donation and cash reward are bundled the first day! It's never been easier and more convenient to save lives!

They advertise $800 for new donors but that is only if you go 8 times. That is not even a good deal. I used to donate back in 2013 and that was about average earnings back then. Im going to need at least double that. $200 per donation in this economy, its $5 for a McChicken yall. And your first time should be $800 right off the bat. Talk about clickbait!

Finally donated because of a new donor deal--ON TOP of new donor bonus. Got word from them I would see it and they wrote the code down for it. No deal, complete waste of time. And only 2 people working there weren't rude to me. Terrible when you get lied to.

Staff repeatedly mess up sticking you with a needle and they defer you even though you take iron supplements daily They will also deny your donation from a bruise that they put on your arm

Inexperienced tech taking blood poor stick on both arms with bruising. This is My greatest fear in donating Plasma, along with poor compensation with so much at risk!

Overall most employees are friendly, but over the past year the culture at the Maple Grove location has switched to neglecting donors? time. The importance has definitely become workers over donors. Time frames typically go 20-30 minutes of waiting a round even when they are slow. Mounds View location staff has continued to provide a more tightened donor timeline. *Response to Owner: you already have my contact information.

Condescending staff that see donors and their time to be worthless. Lines into the donation area. Never fully staffed. The only time a staff member was even slightly nice to me was when I showed up in my scrubs! After a barrage of emails begging me to come back, I scheduled an appointment on the app, only to be told at check in that I needed a physical as it has been a while. Wasted my time waiting to use the machines and for a staff member to finally come up and speak to me at the desk. Only to be rudely t

This location has given me nothing but bad experiences. The staff is friendly but I either end up waiting for a long time or I leave with some sort of bad experience involving my donation. My last visit was cut short due to a complication caused by incorrect needle placement that resulted in me being unable to donate for weeks.

for the first time donating I was extremely nervous but the staff was very nice and friendly and the nurse answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. The staff that took my plasma was very tentative and adjusted the machine anytime I experienced discomfort. Definitely will be back!

Great staff and reasonable wait times but if they could post somewhere what the payouts are at the time somewhere easily visible that would be helpful maybe in the doorway as people are coming in

Each week I donate the amount I receive goes down. I have been donating for over 10 years! Apparently you don't need my plasma

I just had my first donation and physical yesterday. I was so cared for as I tried out a scary experience for the first time. In particular there was a great intake nurse who was awesome and had a great rapport with me and the whole team. He was awesome. In addition my physical doctor was very affirming and if you are queer and wanting to donate please make every effort to work with Beth. She answered all my questions and commiserated with me about the homophobia through history around blood donation. Such

I usually have great experiences and customer service. I did this day but my visit took a little longer than usual, but stuff happens out of their control sometimes. I love how the staff helps each other and everyone was nice and very polite!

Everyone in the Maple Grove location is awesome. On all of the visits I have had over the past 2 months not one person has ever been rude or short. I know that's expected, but sometimes when that busy it can happen and never once have I seen great. Great team that cares!!!!

This is going to be redundant based off the last few reviews I just read. But maybe bio life will actually figure it out. This place is WAY too overbooked and WAY too understaffed. Taking advantage of people who need money with an economy that's being run into the ground by our current "leadership". There have been multiple occasions where I'm done donating and I've sat there waiting for over 20 minutes with a needle in my arm and NO ONE in my section, waiting for a "floater". My last time here was Thursday

I usually visit a few times a month back home in Dallas, TX. But since I'm up in MN for the summer to look after my elderly mom, I saw that BioLife is here. I didn't know I could request a quick transfer of records and my donor info to a new location with just a snap. Amazing. This facility seems fairly new and runs a well oiled machine like operations. The checking is swift. The lines moves fast. The employees are all such a total delight to have been helped by. So many MVPs at this Maple Grove location. I

As a new donor I used to be, I knew I was going to make a difference into some else?s life. It means so much to know how good it has being making somebody feel alive again.

The facility is clean and the staff is pleasant and professional. The website NEVER works. I get daily emails but if I click on the links they send, the website is down and not functioning. I also am really frustrated with the questionnaire that has to be filled out each time I go in. I don't mind doing it but if a question has been answered differently than my original answers, whether I tapped the wrong button or the computer is malfunctioning, I have to wait in a REALLY long line to see a nurse, just s

all the girls were very sweet and helpful for helping a newbie like me, I would recommend this place for sure!!!????

I used to come here and it was great. But now, 2 years later. The workers do not respect my time. I used to be able to be in and out in 1 hour. Now I have to plan for almost 2 because they stand around chit chatting way too much while donors are needing assistance getting started or getting unhooked so they can leave. I do not feel they respect people?s time at all. If it wasn't for the compensation and location I would be looking for a different donation center. Only plus is I do feel the facility is clean

Staff is great! Friendly and professional. My chief gripe is that the donation money per week has dropped dramatically over the past year. Going from $140 per week down to $110 now. Frustrating and making me wonder if it is worth my time and driving to appointments

Wait times have dramatically increased in the last months. It appears that they are wanting to have as people come through as possible. The scheduling of appointments seems irrelevant. Staff is good and friendly.

Brent and Jasmine hooked me up and got me out the door. Both are awesome! Friendly, great customer service. They make donating phenomenal.

I haven't been able to donate yet. First time I went (about two weeks ago), they had me wait around for about an hour to end up saying that I needed to get forms from my doctor. After this, I dropped off the forms (a week ago) and they said they would call me, but if I didn't hear from them by yesterday then I should call and ask for an update. I tried calling many times and they didn't pick up the phone, so I left a message. I eventually got a call back and they just told me to call again, have called abou

Everyone I've encountered has been great!!! I was nervous to what I would be walking into but I'm enjoying the experience....as much as you can with a needle in your arm. ??

Management (Sarah) is extremely personable and empathetic. They genuinely care about the experience when there. They impress upon all employees a focus on the customer and working quickly efficiently and safely. Enjoy donating here. It's no wonder it's a popular and busy center.

What a waste of my time. Did their entire physical process for my first time only to be turned away at the very end due to medication I take. Then they make you feel guilty for wanting to getting up and leave right when you find out because it will cause them more paper work which they get paid to do anyway. Do the medication at the begining or provide a way to submit them on a secure online form. Also, make sure you read everything on the 25-minute computer questionnaire. You pretty much agree not to sue t

So I've stated to a screener that they don't have to run the glass that catches the blood when they poke you over my finger because it hurts. That glass should never scrap you. it's like pouring champagne (mechanics) the blood just flow in the tub if you holding the finger and tube the correct way. But did I say that, NO! She then proceeds to ask me did I drink water my response is what type of question is that and left it there, simply because blood is flowing out my finger just fine. I guess I was complai

My initial impression walking in for the first time wasn't great (due in no part to the facility or the employees) because I was the only one not wearing pajamas while waiting to get checked in.. The first lady who checked me in was very friendly, and was grateful that I had everything they asked me to bring ready to go. The person who tested my blood was friendly and explained the process at each step. Joe, the man who gave me my physical, was also amazing. Very kind and thorough as well, he deserves a

Staff is nice and friendly. Their customer service lacks. Dont answer phones, and if you try going through their contact form, dont waste your time. They will not respond to questions. You have to call the St. Cloud location to get anyone to answer and get questions answered. Last week, their system was down, and they kept taking appts, and they did not send out any notifications to cancel appts. Drove all the way there and they said sorry not taking anyone, basically was told to bad. So wasted an ho

Another trip where everything went smoothly and everyone was friendly.

Been donating for 15 years and enjoy the friendly staff that I have known for a while. Wondering why the payouts fluctuate each week. Be nice if they were consistent per se platinum days a few years ago. Like to see the bonuses come back although the rewards program probably takes it place

What disqualifies you from donating plasma?
