I have been donating off and on since the marquette center opened. So almost 25 years. I love the staff. They are so friendly and knowledgeable. The process is easy and straightforward. I truly enjoy that you can help people by donating plasma while being compensated for your time.
Donate plasma at Marquette BioLife! I am a first time donor and they made the process so easy! Anne was incredible explaining the process to me while it was happening, Laurie who took my vitals was also very helpful in answering all my questions! Such a kind group of people on-site at the U.P. location! Even as I was only able to donate half of the suggested amount for the first session, I'm very excited to come back and donate more next week! When I started to feel adverse effects from the plasma draw, I
The Marquette Biolife is probably full of the nicest people I have ever met. Patty, Skyler, Caleb, and everybody else is just so helpful. The process is easy and they make you feel right at home. Every time I come in, I am greeted with a warm smile and a nice conversation. The staff does not mind answering any questions that you may have, and they won't make you feel stupid while explaining! If you are able to donate and well enough to donate, I highly suggest doing it. Not only is it an easy process where
Weird how a doctor who has never once seen me at BioLife or talked to me can get second hand information that was poorly communicated by the nurses needs a letter from a healthcare professional who I will only meet once to verify that the information poorly informed was incorrect and that I'm okay to donate. "I don't know" and "typically our doctor doesn't see people" was all they could say after one phone call, no voicemail.... But I guess I'll go spend $150 to visit the walk in clinic to review 5+ years o
Today was my first time coming here, and quite frankly I was very nervous. But, the staff members were extremely friendly and answered any questions I had. The process went smoothly and staff came to check on me every so often. I would recommend coming here!
Only half of the mandatory procedure or protocol is posted on their websites. If you are smart, do not go to these people. I just drove over an hour away. And when I got there, they then wanted to tell me that I wasn't able to donate. They did no testing. No, nothing, they just basically kick me out right away..
Waste someone's time, money by not telling them the proper procedures prior to donating. You need to either update your website or call people before they even come. You had all my personal information, but yet you inform me of procedure when I walk in the door rather than prior to arriving but I made my appointment Days in advance. Now I will donate with a different company.
Super friendly staff. Easy way to help others and make some extra money.
Waste people's time drive an hour away to donate to getting there you have to have so much water in your body and eat but no where on web page does it day to drink or eat before you come. First time doing and even me calling never said anything about how much to drink and to eat before coming to appointment. You should advertise that type of stuff on your web page and if someone was to call for questions you should also advertise certain things you need or have to have or if you should eat or drunk before
Staff is wonderful and the process is easy. Just follow what they tell you before your appointment ans you'll be great
I have been donating here for about a year, & I can't say enough about how amazing the staff is! Patti & Yvonne, & the rest of the staff are so kind & welcoming, I love talking to everyone, they actually take the time to get to know you & remember things that you talk about. They do such a great job easing my nerves when I come in. Every single person here is so personable, kind, caring, & professional! They helped me get over my fear of needles, & now coming in to donate for 45 minutes twice a week has bec
Friendly knowledgeable staff. Very professional and proficient regarding the donation process.
I had an awesome experience donating! The staff was very friendly and explained everything well. They really make you feel comfortable and make sure you're doing okay through the whole thing.
I was a little nervous going in, but it was the most pleasant experience! Everyone was so friendly and the technician explained everything to me, every step of the way. They constantly checked on me, asking me how I was feeling, if I had any discomfort, and telling me how well I was doing. I couldn't wait to go back again!
The staff were phenomenal and helped ease how everything went even with it being the first time. Julie and the phlebotomist were very kind (he had red hair) very patient and very understanding. I will definitely be bsck
Everyone was super sweet and great at their jobs! Super smooth experience.
Quick and straightforward enrollment process, kind and considerate staff, will be back again and again!
I'm happy to donate my plasma to help others in need. The facility is well staffed and professional.
Everyone was super friendly and welcoming my first time donating!
I had a great experience at BioLife today. This was my first time ever going because I've always had a fear of needles. John made it so easy I didn't even know he did it. April was very thorough and professional and explained the entire process to me. For being extremely hesitant at first I am definitely going back. Thank you for making my first experience a pleasant one.
They were very kind and courteous. They made me feel safe and looked after me very well. I am usually nervous around needles and hospital settings but they made me feel safe.
The money was nice to help with groceries but it isn't worth it anymore. The machine messes up my blood return and inflates my vein. They dig around in my other arm and then give up. They then defferal me for 8 weeks. After this they admit it was the machine's fault. So you get new machine's and then screw me over when it messes up? Now I have to figure out how to afford groceries and I lose a source of income over their mistake. Don't recommend going here.
The people at this center are the greatest. They are friendly and kind. I have not been in because of a colonoscopy and a couple other things. They all said welcome back and we missed you. Love all the workers there. They get an A+++ from me.
Anne, Alex, Taylor, Patti, Bella, Maggie, and the rest of the staff are just simply the most amazing, wonderful people. Everyone is so kind and welcoming! I love donating here! 10/10 would recommend to anyone!!!
Everything was explained thoroughly. Friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend.
I had a very positive experience as it was my first time today donating. I was assisted by April and Patti and was met with nothing but kindness and understanding with any question or concern that I had. I felt very safe and comfortable, and during donation I was checked on several times to make sure I still was. Excited to go back later this week to make my second donation. :)
The staff here are very nice and knowledgeable about their positions. They made my first time donating easy and painless.
wow! This was everything I hoped it would be and more! First time for me today and I wasn't even nervous. The whole staff was very welcoming and seeing a few familiar friendly faces definitely eased the nerves. Super wonderful experience, and if you haven't been here I think you're missing out.
It was my first time donating at the Marquette, MI location. Everything went pretty smoothly. The first visit takes almost 3 hours. The Donation tech I had was nice another gal not so much. I will be back there so to address that part. ????
I had an enjoyable first day here. Patti welcomed me in a warm manner and walked me through the whole process. So far, this has been the most enjoyable experience donating. I've gone to centers before and had complications like the phlebotomist pricking my arm too much but not here. I'm definitely coming back and recommend others to start donating here!
I've donated four times now, and it's a great experience every time! I usually get anxious about things like this but the staff are so kind and attentive to your needs. They check on you constantly and are with you every step of the way. Being able to help people and earn money for it while being cared for by these people is truly a triple win!
I've done 4 donations so far and each appointment has been great! The staff is so wonderful there, on just my second visit one of the staff members even remembered my name, which shows how caring and attentive they are. They are always checking in throughout the donation process and making sure everything feels comfortable for you, and are very easy to talk to or ask questions about the process. The clinic is always very clean and organized and they play good music, too!?? highly recommend you give it a try
The staff here is the best, very kind and caring. The donation area is nice and I have never had any problems with this location. 10/10.
I had my first experience today and I came in little nervous. I met with April for the pre screening and she made it very simple and straight forward and made me feel much better. It went great and I'll be back for more!
Normaly I would give a 5 star but today I had to wait 3 hrs to get in the door and then after I donated. I left and 20 mins after donation they call to tell me I had a 2nd cell loss... 20 mins after I should have been informed before I left the door. Smh
It's great when the staff greets you by name and remembers things from previous visits about your life and you can have meaningful conversation with them. It's nice to be able to sit back for 45 mins or so, even if it is with a needle in your arm!!
Great place, super friendly employees, very professional, I will definitely go back.
Very welcoming staff, easy and quick.
I've been a regular donor for quite a while. I keep coming back because the staff is always so great to me. Also because donating is an easy way to make some extra money. And it's an easy way to help those who are in need of plasma. I highly recommend!
Patti and Anne did a fantastic job explaining the process of the donation and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire donation. The staff is very knowledgeable and want to provide the best experience for their donors!
For being my first time ever donating and also having an (irrational) fear of needles, the staff made me feel welcome and at ease the entire time. Checking in, screening, physical, and donation went smooth and uneventful with the help and distraction of all of the amazing staff that helped me through the process. I am extremely pleased with my experience and I will be making my way back soon! Professional and clean.
The staff is always pleasant and efficient! The center is always clean and comfortable (other than being slightly cold but I understand why it has to be cold). Unfortunately the pay has gone down significantly in the last few months, from $140 to $95 per week.
Very friendly. Great service. Had a hick up checking in and they made sure everything was all good and set so I could move forward with denating.
Very professional environment and people working here, and a great way of making some side cash while helping people. Everyone here is so kind, and April and Patti were so helpful while I was there. Would definitely recommend!
The staff was amazing, talked me through everything and helped when I needed it. Overall, great place & staff!
Really great people, 100% would recommend to anyone interested.
Easy sign-in, easy testing, easy donation process. Expect to be there about an hour, maybe two your first time. Bring SS card and ID with you. Clean facility, friendly and attentive staff, easy-to-navigate building.
Donating at BioLife is a pleasant experience. Not only are you helping those in need. you are also fairly compensated for your time and donation. not to mention all of the team members that work here are truly awesome people
So admittedly coming into the place I was worried and stressed about the possible things that could go wrong, or just seeing my body juice out of well? my body. However, the people here were super friendly, especially the lady that hooked me up to the machine. Though the saline they put in you after is cold as hell so bring a blanket with you when you donate
From the minute I walked in the door I was greeted by friendly and professional staff and walked through each process. The facilities are immaculate and well run. I'd recommend it to everyone!
My donation was terminated early due to something with the machine, or a faulty separator or something. I've been an on/off donor for many years and this was a first for me, so it doesn't happen often. I was told the plasma line looked a bit pink and I had some minimal cell loss. I was fine, and I did get my compensation, it's just unfortunate that I wasn't able to fully complete my donation of plasma. Otherwise, my donation appointments have normally gone quite well.
Always an exceptional staff! They treat you like family, or maybe a little better than that. Always greeted with a smile and a hello. The process is explained so even I can understand it. 500 donations and still going! Thank you Bio Life for what you do.
First time donating plasma was very good and welcoming by every nurse there. My nurse, Patti helped me set up my donation. Very impressed by every nurses attention to detail and making sure I was comfortable with the donation process. Very grateful for everyone there.
Great service this was my first time ever donating but by far one of the best experiences I've had in a while!!! Thank you guys
The staff here are wonderful and professional. They make you feel comfortable the entire time you're there. My first time donating wasn't the smoothest and I had to take about a week off due to bruising. But, I was made aware this was a possibility and they handled it great. I have been back twice now and things are going good. My first time back after bruising the tech was very mindful about it and made an extreme effort for it not to happen again. If you are willing and able to donate, I strongly recommen
They were great. Very friendly, and sufficiently Wonderful. For a first experience ever of donating, I felt comfortable and well assured through the whole process. The team here is very gracious and accommodating.
They won't let you donate if you have sleep apnea, and you'll need their form filled out by your doctor. The doctor appointment costs more than what you get for donation. Also, if someone else in the US has the same name as you, and has bad test results, you won't be able to donate then either (just happened to my husband). This place is a joke.
Very nice environment with even nicer people working there. Even when things don't end up going perfectly, I always end up smiling leaving after talking with wonderful staff members. Definitely coming again!
I'd sort of chronically changed my appointments around because I was terrified about what the process would be like and I have a mild fear of needles. The facility was spotless, the employees were very kind and knowledgeable, and not once did it feel like I was in a place that was any less than professional. I mentioned my fear and before any further testing or mentioning of needles was done I received counseling with a nurse who helped me further evaluate whether or not this was for me. I was checked in on
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very honest and upfront about procedures. An overall enjoyable experience. Will definitely be back to give up more life juice.
Great staff, great environment, peaceful time to donate. After a hectic day at work getting a needle in your arm is calming. Seriously though the staff and opportunity to help people is great.
My experience at the Marquette BioLife has been great! I have been going to this location for over a year now. Each and have employe who has helped me has been extremely nice and supportive, and has done an amazing job throughout the whole donation process, I will most definitely be going back to go to the Marquette bio life.
The staff at the Marquette Michigan Biolife are the best people! I have not had one unpleasant person interaction while I've been there over the last decade. Too many people to name but they are deserve the best!
Amazing place with amazing staff! They are all so friendly and make the experience comfortable.
Always professional, accurate and friendly.
Helpful and kind staff. Will come again!
I love coming here. Such a great way to make some extra (or very necessary) money, but more than that, the environment feels good and the energy of the workers is positive and caring. It feels like everyone who works there enjoys their job. I think they are doing great things at every level of the organization, management down to the newbies! Keep it up guys!
First time donor. Was greeted quickly. Was introduced to Patti who was welcoming, supportive and reassuring along with an incredibly supportive Staff. If you have questions they will be answered on time and respectfully.
The staff is so professional and kind. I was very nervous and Patti put me right at ease. John was amazing when I got in the chair and explained everything to me
A+ service, especially from Patti. I have anxiety and my BP always betrays me, but she has been a soothing lucky charm for months now, always managing to get me in with no trouble. Very personable and nice workers, always doing their best to make everything as easy for you as possible. Would definitely recommend. It's a great incentive to get and stay healthy and hydrated!
Very easy to access and very nice people
This is by far the best plasma facility I have ever been in. The staff was all so sweet and social, the facility was comfortable and welcoming, and the whole process was overall pretty fast!
I feel the staff here is very friendly and helpful. My first day was a bit longer than it should have been due to computer issues, but overall it was great experience. Each time I walk in, the staff from my first day recognize me even though they see so many different people on any given day.
Staff was incredibly friendly and was very thorough when explaining what was going on during the process.
The entire staff at Marquette Bio Life are excellent! They go above & beyond to make every donation safe, professional, fun & easy. They all deserves merit raises for their consistently outstanding work!
Absolutely a breath of fresh air! Amazing people!
I would be Very Satisfied if I received the same amount of money as my wife. I give more plasma but get paid less. We donate at the same center at the same time. I don't get it.
Very kind helpful people wonderful setting. I was so scared going in, instantly greeted with smiles and kind people. Very amazing staff
I had a great experience. The staff members were amazingly nice. Made me feel very safe and it was comforting just an overall 10/10 experience
The following is just my opinion. I'm writing this for those who may be frustrated because your protein is "too low to donate." This happened to me, among so many others. I know that the outside lab testing for protein is not being done right, because I went to my doctor the same day I had my blood drawn at BioLife, and my doctor said my level was "good," which was at 6.7. But I already knew that it would come in high because I ate enough protein. BiloLife said mine was well under 6. And that happened
A great facility to make a difference in people?s lives and make some money while doing it. The staff here is awesome, they are all polite, very good at their jobs and makes sure your taken care of. It's very efficient and takes little time at all. I highly recommend anyone to come here.
I had an amazing first time at Biolife in Marquette! Everyone was incredibly friendly and they're very thorough in making sure you understand all of the details before you get going! I felt very safe and comfortable the whole time and there was always someone near by, just in case. I'll definitely be back soon!
Great! Everyone super kind and understanding
The staff made is super fun for my first time ? Patti was amazing and walked me through everything and made sure I understood everything .,, awesome experience
Great service and easy time greatly recommend it
I had a wonderful experience and have been well taken care of here. The staff is absolutely amazing! The place has great music and is super clean. 10/10 Thank you - Violetta Boyle
Great experience just to far
The staff, each and every staff member at Marquette, MI BioLife Plasma Center is pleasant, caring and knowledgeable. The vibe in the center is always upbeat which makes it a pleasure to come in and donate. The facility is always clean as well.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
