I recently visited BioLife Plasma Services of Mesquite. Driving 22 miles there and 22 miles back, only to be turned away due to a policy that was not clearly stated on their website. While I had thoroughly reviewed their tattoo-related eligibility guidelines, there was no mention that the injection site?specifically the area above the elbow joint, the inner arm (pit area)?must be free of tattoos within a 1.5-inch diameter. After completing a three-step intake process, I was quietly dismissed once my tattoo
The intake process is long and extremely thorough. One lady was nice and kind, the other 2 expressed without any doubt that they're ready to leave. Despite this, one of the 3 people I interacted with were professional, even though they expressed they're ready to leave (be off work). The last lady (possibly a nurse? Not even sure.. ) asked me to remove my face mask as soon as we sat down. I'm not sure why. Then she asked me why I wear it. As if it's not important to wear a mask during a covid variant outbrea
I didn't like the experience. Very scary when you walk in you are unsure of everything. I went through with it the first time as it was for a good cause and you get paid. The second time you are treated like an after thought. They will try to make sure you don't get the bonus for even doing the donation. I will not be returning to donate. To scary and the restroom is always out of order. Also since my first donation my arm has felt strained. I am going to my doctor to make sure I'm alright, wish me the be
First donation was wonderful. Lady that took my plasma did wonderful. Second donation she wasn't there and the staff working, played and talked the whole time. Third donation lady did not do her job. She cleaned half way down my arm because she was to busy watching the boy with dreads. When it was time for me to be unhooked she chose to have conversations instead. Looked at me several times and walked off laughing and playing. It wasn't until I raised my voice for someone to come unhook me before I got ass
Donating at Bioplasm in Mesquite has been one of the best experiences I've had at any donation center. From start to finish, the staff made me feel welcome, comfortable, and truly appreciated. Their customer service is absolutely top-notch?every team member I interacted with was friendly, professional, and clearly well-trained. They take the time to explain everything, answer questions, and make sure you're feeling good throughout the entire process. Whether it's your first time donating or you're a regula
From the first day the Mesquite Tx center knew they could only use my right arm. I have had a severe hematoma but figured it can happen to anybody. This past week they did a adjustment with the needle saying my vein jumped so after told me after moving the needle around in my arm, I was not going to be able to donate but I would still get paid, never got paid but when I asked about it they said I could reschedule this week instead , so I did. On one visit after telling the phlebotomist that they could not u
As a Google Local Guide, I take pride in my 5-star reviews. BioLife in Mesquite is by far the best donation center!!! Clean, friendly staff, and I'm greeted every time I come in!!! I'm a regular now, and the nurse, staff, and management go above and beyond for a pleasant experience!!! Chlunda, the main manager, is very sweet and runs this place with pride. If you've never donated before, COME HERE 1ST!!!! TRUST ME, YOULL LOVE IT!!!
I call this place my part time job!! Everyone is so nice and friendly! They really do make you feel very comfortable and welcome! Kayla, one of the phlebotomist, she's awesome!!!
I meant to leave this review a couple days ago when the current workers were there but I forgot. I came to donate a few days ago as a regular donor, and saw only one attendent at the booths while 2-3 others were standing around and laughing. She had someone in her booth, people in line and others were next to me answering questions, so she obviously needed help. But they just stood there and laughed and talked while she worked. One of the ladies laughing was a tall black girl with a bob haircut and spoke v
Today was my first time here at biolife and I had the pleasure of having Kayla, she was beyond amazing ! Definitely will be coming back and having her to take me in under her wing. She's the best!
I went to a new center for donating plasma and I gave her a heads up I have deep veins. She was digging in my arm. And then I couldn't donate anymore cause she said my veins were swelling up. The next day (yesterday) my arm is like this. You can't donate when you have a bruise. I tried to tell them what she did but wanted to say I don't drink enough water when I do. They said I would get a good person since I'm a new donor. After she messed up my arm. I asked her again who can do deep veins. She told me one
I want to share my experience with Biolife. First, getting info and making the appointment is a breeze with the Biolife Application with plenty of appointment times from which to choose. Biolife in Mesquite is housed in a very nice and new like building. Parking is nice and well lit. Landscaping is neat and trimmed. You will you will almost forget you are at a plasma donating center. Upon entry, the temperature was just right for the day that I went in. And to the overall decorum it was one that was very c
I schedule appointment I arrive even before time was told can only be taken in 10 minutes before time scheduled fine then when I get in 10 min before time then get told oh we are not taking new donors today due to short staff but can give more incentive tomorrow to reschedule appointment no matter if short staff location closes at 3 pm on Sunday my appointment was at 12pm and schedule was already made this should not happen or when was told to wait until 10 min to get taken in could have been advised of thi
Been coming for a while, but Kayla stood out today. She was helpful, friendly and for first time I didn't feel the prick of needle. Need more staff like kayla!!
I enjoy doing plasma donations the staff nurses everything about facility is a1 rated. I do not do this so much for the money juat knowing I'm helping people is enough. Glad I found this place when I was off due to eye surgery really helped me through a rough patch now I feel like I'm helping others going through hard times.
Overall this was a very pleasant experience because Emily did such a great job making sure that I was okay throughout the whole procedure I could tell that Emily is a dedicated and hard worker with lots of experience because it did not hurt thank you Emily for giving me that great patient experience and if you're reading this I wanted to remind you that you are very special person may you be blessed with your career.
Great location very clean and nice employees. I had an accident at the facility and Asja the RN was so nice and sweet to deal with I have dealt with her before and she just really goes out the way to help.
At this location there is a biased against using what arm the patient chooses to use for there donation process. We are the reason they have jobs. We should be able to choose where we want to be stuck with needles at. We are not allowed to choose which side we want to donate from. And if we choose not to get stuck on the left side they refuse to allow any donation to take place. The manager said to me and I quote. ? at this location I choose which side you donate from and if that is a problem for you, you m
Charli Jo and the other staff members are always so friendly and courteous! The building is always clean, and everyone is very careful about looking after the clients. Bonus--donating plasma helps others!
My phlebotomist, Emily, was extremely kind and talented at her current profession. She informed me that she is currently working toward becoming an EMT. If she gives the public the care and attention she gave me just donating plasmaI expect she will help and aide a multitude of people in need.
This location has great staff that has treated me with kindness. However, I have been rescheduled multiple times and this last one really drew the line for me. They have called me with previous cancellations, and have left voicemails about rescheduling. This last one they stated they ?called? me, when I have no missed calls or voicemails and I get to the building and they tell me oh unfortunately we cannot help you today because we are understaffed. The amount of times I'm told I can't donate because they a
20 people in line on a Saturday at noon because only 1 vital clerk staff is more interested in laughing with friends than help donors
They are so slow. Supposed to take an hour. Takes two even after first donation. Staff are unattentive and sometimes rude even. Pick another location. I've given benefit of the doubt way too many times.
This location is the best! Shout out to Brandy she always has a positive attitude and smile! Never a long wait at this location and they are super consistent with their service!
Sierra is a absolute delight. My donation went smoothly. She really knows what she's doing. Wish I could have her stick me every time.
This is specifically a review for one of the employees, Charli Jo. She is always so sweet and kind! She is always positive and cheerful, and I never see or hear her standing around complaining like a lot of people here do. She is even making an effort to remember our names and little things about us so that we have a more personalized experience. I always look forward to seeing her when I come! She is such a bright light, and she deserves all the recognition! Thank you for making my experiences here worth i
My first donation took literally 4.5 hours. Appointment was 230 and finished at 7pm. Plan for that, i only planned for 2 hours. Staff was friendly and the money is nice
Workers are not disinfecting beds and pillows after each doner. Workers are not changing gloves between donors. I have seen them work on 4 different doners with the same pair of gloves all while touching the trash can, machines, computer, their hair, ect. One stall in the ladies restroom has been out of order for weeks plus their is usually trash on the floor a bloody band-aid.
Dalia was great ,very informative . She made me feel comfortable and eager to help save lives. Great experience
I've been donating plasma since 2018 I work a lot so I don't go often but never had any issues until now bio life is a joke & very unprofessional how dare y?all have me donating thinking everything is good ..when I left I tried going into the app to schedule my next visit it kept saying Not eligible to donate so I call a few days later only to find out The machine did not return my red blood cells and I am getting deferred for 8 weeks like why y'all didn't tell me this the same day I was there??? I had to
This store is understaffed and puts it off on the client's. 5 of us all had high heart rates.... that doesn't make sense. Either tha machines are faulty or they are turning people away because of them being short staffed. Why are they short staffed? Is it management? Is the management that horrible people don't want to work here?
This place is great, it's clean, there fast, friendly, professional, helpful and efficient I definitely recommend.
I'm so happy ?? I love coming to BioLife Lizabeth is a very good work always smiling and have a lovable heart ???? for the clients that come in we are very happy ???? with her work she makes us want to continue on back.
Sierra did an amazing job today. Smoothest experience yet. Made my day!
I feel like the old reviews are fake but let me tell y?all my experience, went in today and I like that you need to have an appointment that way you're not waiting in a huge line of people. I went at 8:30 as a new donor and I was out in less than 2 hours. they're so fast & I was on the machine for 30 minutes! everyone?s nice they explain everything that they do to you would definitely recommend
Great experience and not a long wait. Dalia was very helpful and made sure to explain the process.
Dalia was fantastic and very thorough with all the info. Great service and assistance. from everyone. Very professional!
I would give this place zero stars because they won't let me donate because I have a scar on my left arm near where they would draw plasma. I've donated before at South Dallas and CSL. This is completely manure because this is an arm that played every sport and served in the Army. However, some nobody decided I can't donate there. I'm pissed and I should be! I sent a message around a week ago and still waiting on a reply.
I have been donating plasma for 5 years now and I have NEVER had as many issues as I have with this center. EVERY-TIME I have visited this center there has been some type of issue. After the first visit (when I did the review below) there had been a hold up. Your never conveniently in and out. I am not new to this, I know these appointments are voluntary and take time. But that time gets extended or ?deferred ? for one reason or another. Everyone seems mostly agreeable and efficient. Overall my experience
I was amazed with my experience at BioLife everyone was nice and friendly very helpful office was nice and clean I highly recommend for sure.
No point in them having appointments because you still waiting 30-45 min to even start your donation. Octa is 10 times quicker
First time their and donated plasma the staff was very polite and very knowledgeable about everything they made me feel at home the fatality was nice and clean every one was amazing I recommend this location. ??
Kayla was awesome and perfect will come back to see her every time.
If I could, I would give No Stars! But I can't comment without leaving at least 1 ?? These companies prey on the poor and those in need of money and pays them a fraction of what their plasma donation is worth! Donors receive less than $100 per donation, yet the company gets $1,500 or more for every 800ml? That's $1.400 of profit! Those that need plasma my benefit, but donors are used like cattle (a commodity). And on top of that, the more donations you give, the more you are prone to getting sick as mu
They completely wasted my time and gas. I set an appointment and arrived, just for them to make me wait to be told they can't take me cause I have a tattoo over one of my veins. Could?ve said something on the website.
This place was amazing oh my god! The service was amazing, everyone was extremely friendly and very welcoming and the process was extremely quick. I went there for the first time and it only took about 2 hours with the physical included which is faster than other centers I've gone to before (usually 3 to 4 hours) even the people I've recommended this place to are happy with it. If you were hesitant before, they will literally walk you throughout the whole experience and are constantly checking up on you. De
This is my last time coming here. I have never donated at a facility that has so many people who cannot stick. I've never had to use my other arm to donate at any other place. I have a HUGE VEIN you can't miss it. My last donation the lady couldn't stick me then said I moved after she probed my vein to death, which was a lie, she had a bad attitude on top of that ,blood was everywhere. Someone else came over to stick me in my other arm, no one apologized or seem to even care. The girl told me to scoot over
Imma tell you this Kayla, Shay, Charlie Jo and Elizabeth are the best people that stick my veins everytime I go I'm looking for one of the three to be my sticker because they are good at their jobs its like you don't feel the stick and the process is always flawless never takes more than 35 mins to donate. They are the best in the whole center when it comes to sticking, in my opinion. If you've never donated before, they are the ones to look for, and if you are scared of needles, they're who you want to sti
The absolute worst. They gave me hematomas back to back visits. The staff is incompetent and unable to perform simple tasks. They butchered my arms and left me unable to work or to give more plasma as part of their incentive program. When I addressed this with staff they just brushed me off and told me the contract I signed made me aware they could mangle me and do whatever they want with no consequences. I wasn't fully compensated for my donations. All told they cost me multiple full days of work due to do
Terribly managed. It will take you at least an hour to get a physical. I was denied to donate blood because I have tattoos on my arms. My veins were clear from any areas that were covered in ink, but they tried to say, "I wasn't eligible for a donation. I read all over Google and went through bioplasmas' policies, and the only policy for tattoos is tattoos that are less than 6 months old. My tattoos dont pose any risk, and my blood type of O, so im sure there were other unforementioned reasons Th
Cholunda was a great nurse and got me setup to do my first treatment.
Taylor is awesome! I never feel it when she sticks me, and she's always very nice and easy to talk to. She is also very efficient, careful yet quick. She gets me in and out with ease. Give her a raise! ????
First time trying to donate plasma ever, total waste of time. I had an appointment set up, was even 15 minutes early - they didn't even seem busy but I waited my 15 mins early. Plus 30 minutes more before I walked out. Unprofessional, they don't even seem like they want to communicate with you.
If I could rate this place a dam 0 it would be. I don't understand how they expect you to make an appointment if you're going to be seen a whole dam hour after. Everyone is just walking g around talking g about their dam problems instead of getting these people in and out. I understand we have a need but dam there is no reason why I should be here a whole hour after my dam appointment
Update: While most of the stickers are fine but a few are. I had a blonde text back in early March 2025 that gave me a very bad hematoma that prevented proper return of my blood resulting in a delay until MID MAY. To make things worse they don't want to accept any responsibility for not knowing sometimes how to deal with scar tissue issues. Communication with donating public to include regular ones is HORRIBLE. A sign left on door about water main but NO CLEAR PLAN as to how they are taking care of those wi
Kayla took great of me!! She's very professional and Friendly!!
This location is by far my favorite! The staff and management are amazing!!! Friendly, helpful, and you always come 1st ??. I've been a client here for several months, and the staff always says hello when I come in. It's a clean environment, with short wait times, and sometimes I'm in and out in 30 min!!! Thank you Chlunda, and the rest of your team, for making my experience great every time!! You won't find a better place to donate!!!!
All staff members I encountered were very informative, willingly. I did not have to ask 100 questions. Staff members were very clean, thorough and consistent in their daily routines. The facility was clean overall, the bathroom was in somewhat disarray. It was my first time and my overall experience was very positive. I am definitely a future customer hopefully for a long time .
On a scale from one to 10 I'll give you guys 1000. You broke the scale. You have a great customer service very respectful very helpful and I appreciate you guys caring about me as a person Mrs Maria In the mesquite location she's one of the nurses and she is fantastic. She has great energy she makes you feel comfortable and she informs you about everything that you need to know about giving plasma. I really respect and appreciate her. Keep up the great work.
I just finished my promo month as a first time donor, here's what you should know and my thought. 1. It's not very first time friendly they kinda expect you to know what to do. I'm a person that needs a step by step guide. 2. It's takes a while, it's like a minimum of 1 and half hours but it can also take up to 3 hours. You have to make time to be there. 3. Some of the phlebotomist are better than others. If you feel more pain during the session it's not normal and tell someone. Over all I did enjoy most of
???This center is amazing very fast , very efficient, very demure. My appt was at 1130 I was donating by 1145 and yes this location was busy at the time of my arrival.. my phlebotomist Taylor is amazing she is very knowledgeable ,very fast and pays attention to detail. I have been donating 2x a week for almost 2 years now and this experience today is the best experience I've ever had donating at bio life, and the credit should go to the amazing staff you guys have here. The experience started as I walked i
Based off these reviews.... Jesus Christ I'm so sorry they can't poke right. Maybe they should hire me wife ... She can poke and no cause any major pain or big hematomas.. I think this is why many people love going to my wife's clinic because she does it painlessly and is able to get the vein even from chubby people... I guess this tells me I ain't gonna even bother coming to this donation unless they are willing to take a capsule with my plasma already in it cuz I ain't trying to go to no shitty medical as
I enjoy providing life saving materials to those who are in need, however flags are supposed to be at half mast in honor of late President Jimmy Carter, it wouldn't hurt to replace the flag while you are at it.
I went to give donation about a week and a half ago. My service had to be stopped due to tech not inserting my needle correctly into my arm. I started to feel tightness in my arm and notice swelling. I called the tech over and as I did, I started feeling very lightheaded and nauseous. I asked her if this is normal the swelling?! I have made several donations prior and never experienced anything like this. She expressed to me, she should have caught it earlier. As she had been checking up on me. The service
Very polite staff the center manager is the nicest person I've ever encountered she is so polite!!!
I am a bit disappointed as the I often get a hematoma caused by the technitians? inability to stick properly and it penalises me for achieving my donations for a few weeks
Make sure there is someone who can get to my veins because they had to stop and I wasn't able to receive a whole container of blood back- and now because of this they said I have to wait 8 weeks .
Had a very good first time experience Dalia was friendly and helpful.
I want to say that the lady that is up front doing the screening name Taytannya , she has the long blond braids ,was very unprofessional when I told her that one of the utensil that they get the blood from your finger was on the floor. It was located near the register desk by the front door. She didn't bother to go investigate, she just said Oh and continued to run the test on me. There was also a guy next to her station, not working, who was in locs kept distracting her from conversations that was non wo
When I tought I found a good location. IT'S NOT! They don't do there job correctly. I donated at this location 4 times and everytime they check my arms when you fold it is completely fine. Now for some odd reason I go in again same process and they stop me and tell me I need to get checked by the nurse. She seems lost and asks for back up ??.. && the manager or maybe just a normal staff member tells me because I have a sleeve & the tattoos are over my vains I cant donate. Like OK! Right? I get that poi
Shalanda was amazing & so nice & respectful. Would definitely recommend bio-life plasma!!
It's a great Location and BioLife is really good but the nurses at this location can be SO RUDE FOR NO REASON my thoughts are if you chose this job why are you treating the patients so rudely almost like you hate them coming in, If you don't like working in a place where you will need to deal with a lot of problem THEN DONT, seriously this location has a really bad problem with their workers attitude and how they treat the customers, we try so hard to be nice to them but yet somehow we always get such a rud
Building and parking lot are clean and nice staff is slooooooooow but friendly, they seem to new like they don't know what there doing especially the staff that does the check-in, they are loud joking around with each other instead of doing their job
I really like all of the employees. They are so friendly and caring. The only thing Negative is that it really really smells awful. Just awful. Like one big stinky fart. I hope they get some very well needed ventilation soon. I almost think about going to another location because it almost makes me sick.
Best phlebotomist by far!! Taylor makes the whole process very quick and painless and my personal favorite tech:) she is awesome, so definitely ask to be sticked by her as she makes donating plasma something fun to look forward to.
This place is so refreshing and wonderful! I am so thankful this location opened! It's always been a great experience each time I've donated. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and go above and beyond to help. It's nice to see the facility fully staffed and every screening station open and plenty of beds. It's awesome to be able to set an appointment. Thank you BioLife! ??
Never really busy but if you need help and have problems do not come here go to another then come no wait time just not really helpful
Emily was great!! Very professional and courteous.
I am a new donator and I hated needles for the longest , Taylor is great ! She never hurts me and I've been to many other blood drawls but she tops every place I've ever been in my life. I keep coming back thanks to her she the wonderful staff here. Highly recommended.
Had an appointment for my first visit which was a physical. Once I got there and was checking in, they told me they had to cancel my appointment.. I live about 40 minutes away, and she said I couldn't wait, the soonest appointment was days away. They don't alert you when they have to cancel it, they make you drive all the way there and then tell it to your face.
On 11/3 I came in to donate 4th time. My phlebotomist was Candace and she had a trainee at bay RED. There was 4 of us, after starting myself 10 minutes later she walked off the floor leaving the trainee there alone with us. I started to have sever pain and called out to the trainee to come and check what was wrong. He pulled out what look to be like a manual touch the site where the IV was and walk away. 15 minutes go by and Candace is still no where to be found but at that time my arm started to swell up a
The communication and detailed instructions that we're giving were simple and direct. The friendly and good attitude from the staff and a special thanks to Kayla for making my first experience fun and enjoyable with her great and funny attitude and personality
My first time donating and it was so much better than I anticipated. It was so clean and professional. Everyone was so nice, in particular, Abigail was amazing. She was so informative and friendly. Big thanks to her. Donating was easy and painless. Everyone who can should donate!
Taylor at the Mesquite location is an absolutely wonderful technician. She is professional courteous, and is who I hope sticks me when I return your future visits. big shout out to taylor for being so amazing.
Been here over a month now and there are things that need to be addressed. Today a new employee entered my information wrong 2 times and because of that I can't donate ! How and why do I have to pay for the consequences of her screw up. I'm noticing a lot of this here once they had problems with the system and tried to make all of us not donate for the day because they didn't inform anyone anyone that they wouldn't honor our appointment times. This throws off our days.so now I can't come back until next
Taylor was my phlebotomist today & I just want to say I am very satisfied with her work. Normally when I get sticked it hurts really bad but, today that wasn't the case. The stick process was very straight, to the point, & most of all less painful then before. Thank you Taylor , keep up the good work !
Great place great customer service and Dalia is nice person to and very thorough
Compared to the other locations the mesquite location is the cleanest, fastest, and most humane! I encountered an emergency and the manager Candace was so understanding and helpful. God bless the whole operation.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
