I've been going here for years on and off. It's always been a smooth experience in the staff have always been professional and polite. I enjoyed that the phlebotomy staff feel free to joke and banter with each other creating an almost home like environment.
The facility was very clean and the staff was very professional. I made a few dollars for my time and left knowing that my donation had made a difference. I also think that Brit and Sidney deserve special recognition, because it is obvious that they work hard to keep everything running smoothly. They are definitely the best there is. These factors make this location a 5 star experience!
All the workers are very:kind, patient, informative, and accommodating. If you have any anxiety over donating blood or plasma, I'd say this is the place to come to as they make the process smooth and as comfortable as possible.
Rude staff. There is no reason to treat people who are coming in to get stuck with needles so badly. The counter person was so rude that I canceled all my future donations, and they will have to throw away the original donation because it's a required minimum of 2. Well done.
Staff member got me banned for 8 weeks because she didn't return my blood after the machine messed up as soon as I started so I was considered a blood loss two times within my New donor period . They have staff that will totally stick all the way through your vein and back it out to get blood flow , which is wrong and bad practice. 3/8 donations were successful and overall they need to make sure the machines are working properly . People shouldn't get punished for your employee or machine errors. Overall th
I was told I couldn't donate because I did my questionnaire and realized I didn't have my ear buds so I just went to my car which was outside the door but never got to do the check and finger stick, I was told that I have to reschedule after I drove from Fairfield Ohio this visit was for gas and now I'm stuck outside the place .. I will not be coming back and I definitely will be going to another plasma center... I never heard that as long as I been donating... It was always told if you do the finger stic
The tech who disconnected me did an x wrap rather than the normal wrap. By the time I got to my car I could feel blood pouring down my arm. So, I ran back in there and Jen helped me get cleaned up and rebandaged. She's always so nice and very helpful. I'm so grateful she was there to help me, because she got me cleaned up quick!
Wouldn't recommend they couldn't hit a vein if their life depended on it. My veins look like the ultimate warrior and they still can't hit it. Not to mention had to listen to the worker wine about her job before she stuck the needle through the opposite side of my vein. Needless to say I will never return.
I have never had a harder time getting anything done in my life, than to try to donate plasma here. And it's completely out of my way, so I've wasted so much gas it's going to be hard to make it to work So, thanks to this establishment for leaving me out to dry for all the hoops I've had to jump through to donate. The "importance" is staggering
The people that work there are amazing, they made me feel welcome and safe. They answered all my questions perfectly. When I left I felt good and was excited to return. Thank you for sure a great experience! Give them all raises! Here is a picture of my perfect nephew for you all to enjoy
Really great service Sandy's made sure everything went well and took care of my first visit really made me feel like coming back
Concern Regarding Plasma Donation Procedure To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express a concern regarding my recent plasma donation experience at your facility. During my laar visit, after the donation process had concluded, I was left connected to the machine for an extended period following the removal of the needle. From my understanding of FDA and PPTA guidelines, and based on standard procedures, donors should not remain attached to the apheresis machine once the plasma cycle is compl
It's a good way for some money. Not always worth it. Doesn't pay well the longer you go. Especially when it turns into 2+ hours to donate even with appointment.
I have been donating for a year now and some days are fast getting in and out and other days it's a little slower.the staff are pretty good at not making it hurt when they place the needle in you . I'm grateful for that because I don't like needles.I figure I'm there for two reasons to help someone who needs the plasma and for me to get a little extra money.
This place is incredible. The level of professionalism and knowledge here is way above their competitors. Maggie at the front Did a fantastic job with helping me get my pulse down. She taught me techniques that I will use going forward and I can't thank her and your entire staff enough.
Place is a joke literally went to donate for gas and food as a last option was there for 3 hours and now they don't know when I'll get my money which is supposed to be instant and now they are saying they don't know when it will load what a complete joke your supposed to get paid as soon as you get done not days later wouldn't go here even if you need cash and help asap it will be days before you get money and they won't tell you this as your walking in and waiting for hours
Employees who are also donors should be treated the same as everyone else. They should NOT get special treatment. I had one of the screeners behind me in line, prior to getting screened. Normally, they call you to come up to the next person available, she cut in front of me and walked up to the next available person without being called. That employee said, "that's not how we do things here", and proceeded to continue anyway. I ended up with another person and went on to a bed. I get to a bed and she happen
I had a very positive experience initially. Unfortunately, two employees ruined it and I will never return. I am a difficult stick at times. On one such occasion, I had 3 staff trying to get a return. The 3rd one's stick hurt badly and I flinched. She then accused me of flinching before the stick which sounds ridiculous. It upset her that she was the 3rd and final person to try and missed. I didn't get paid. I called to ask why. I was told I'd get a call. I didn't but my money did get approved. When I went
Staff is friendly, and donating plasma does help people. It cannot be grown in a lab. These therapies save lives. If you're considering it and want to make a difference, give it a shot.
The location in Middletown is very clean. They are very efficient and they are also very professional. You can be in and out within 40 minutes.
Biolife is a very well run company. Each time I am there to donate , I am greeted with professionalism and exceptional customer service. The facility is extremely clean and all the employees have been great. I have been donating for over 4 months , and each visit has been a pleasant experience. Thank You For All You Do , Billy W
I drove a solid 46 minutes to come donate and was turned away because of an allergy I have that they refused to accommodate. I am allergic to adhesives and always rash up from the self-sticking bandage wrap that you get when donating blood. The rash is itchy and lasts for two weeks. My solution is to use cloth and tie it. They were unwilling to let me use my own cloth on MY body and unwilling and unable to provide a cloth option for those of us allergic to adhesives. I am unhappy with the fact they will tur
Refuse to answer phones or call back. I have called 12 different times over 3 days and left 4 messages trying to see if my blood work got back. Was told it took 7-10 days. It has been that and they refuse to respond or answer their phones. If I do not get any answers back soon I will be reporting this location for malpractice.
The team at the Middletown location have been amazing. A month ago I did my first donation and they explained everything step by step. From when you first check in, to checking your blood levels to make sure that you're not dehydrated and have enough protein , to actually donating the plasma and the steps to the donation. Everybody is friendly and these people work HARD long hours and they always have a smile on their face. I actually only thought that I would make it through one session, if I even made it
The staff was very friendly and was very prompt in their work. They answered all my questions that I had at the time.
Had my worst experience at biolife today. Badge said center supervisor Sydney. I'm not new to donating Plasma most of the time it's a pleasant experience. I felt like she shoved the needle in too quickly and it was at the edge of my vein something was off machine kept shutting off as well then she ended me early with no explanation. when the saline hit it felt different then usual it got uncomfortable and the machine stopped. She insisted on switching arms did not attempt to adjust the needle, then she shov
My experience was very positive here. I thought the staff were professional and polite. I will definitely recommend BioLife to my friends and family.
Absolutely phenomenal experience from the moment I walked in the door to the time I left. That was professional courteous and overly efficient. Lady who assisted me was not only friendly personable and efficient but was above and beyond the standard for professionalism and experienced Beyond any I have dealt with in the past. As a veteran I seek out places with professionalism and integrity in this place is by far the best.
Alot of the time your left on the bed for 15 to 20 mins after you finish your donation also you have to lay on the bed for up to 30 mins waiting for someone to hook u up to the machine i asked if they need help or need to hire more ppl an the employee that unhooked me 15 mins after I was beepin an done stated that they were sending people home because there ain't enough work how is someone waiting with a needle sittin in there arm longer they need it to not enough work???most of the time there awesome and s
The process of giving plasma was quick and efficient. After the questionnaire, the wait to give vitals was short. Once in the chairs to draw blood, the hookup was quick and I didn't have to wait long to be disconnect and on my way. Plus, the staff are friendly, relaxed, and cordial.
I am impressed with this center. The staff here are engaging and great with patient education. Paige the nurse was so sweet, she has a great heart. The confidence she has left me at ease. You could tell she loved her job. Noah who set up my machine did it so efficiently and explained the whole process to me and what all the parts were. I don't know how he remembers all of that information. Then Miranda explained the process even further while she drew my blood to distract me that I barely felt the needle. I
Great staff, very clean, covid 19 mandates are taken seriously. Very gentle, and caring during the process. Making the experience smooth and Easy.
The people are very nice but it gets super busy and they are under staffed
BioLife runs not only like a well oiled machine, but a machine with compassion. Every step for me as a new donor was explained clearly and with a cheerful attitude. The staff are interactive and welcoming. There was clearly a culture of no judgement and longing to do right. Jeff, Angel, and Miranda in particular made my first time easy and a positive experience.
I asked questions they answered. The plasma donation process is so cool. I love helping but also earning .Jen has mass experience I don't even feel the stick !!
Was denied due to them not stating that my housing type was not accepted even though I provided all of the necessary documentation that I resided at that address. It does not state that on the website, or the email they send for your required documents to bring, that there are any exclusions. Very negative experience for this being my first time ever donating. I did also drive over 30 minutes to get there. I also read the reviews of other donors to make sure I provided all necessary documents and followed a
Waste of time. I've had 2 scheduled appointments there. And both times waited and waited and was never seen by anyone. So I just got up and walked out after 45 minutes of not being seen by anyone, twice in a row.
Ive been coming here for years and overall find staff to be courteous and professional. Very seldom have I had a less than 5 star experience. As someone who targets 6-620am for donation, I do have one frustration. For whatever reason, this location chooses to have their clocks behind actual time. When it's 6am and doors should be open, their clocks say 5:57. For a place that runs on appointments, that's ridiculous. Other patrons I have talked to over the years wonder the same thing, and it doesn't get chang
This is Justin and I would like to say I'm very pleased with everyone at BioLife in Middletown. Especially Mandi and Mikki. Super friendly humans that make it fun.
I was at my plasma yesterday afternoon and I was sent home because my pulse was 101 and 100 is the cutoff. I get that rules are rules but I drive 45 minutes to donate twice a week . I get if my bloodwork was ooff but 1 beat during my blood pressure is crazy, especially if my blood pressure was good. I lost almost two hours out of my day, plus I lost eighty dollars and my gas money for one best during my blood pressures check. That seems very extreme to me. I have been donating for over a year two times a we
If I could give this establishment 0 stars, I would. It's a complete waste of time and money. Each visit costs me 35 minutes each way via Uber. On my first visit, I mistakenly forgot the required documents, so I had to return a second time. The check-in process went smoothly on my second visit until I encountered the nurse. The nurse was unfriendly and wasted my time due to a non-transmissible condition related to seizures I haven't experienced since I was 2 years old. In total, I've wasted $120. If you ne
They are good humans and make me arm feel better and talk to me and me love them long time and me love you long time too.
I had a great experience today Savannah Ray and I didn't even feel it when she put it in and Mya said hi to me when I was there
Extremely rude, passed all my vitals and test she went in the back and looked at my arm and said it didn't look good enough to donate I drove 30 minutes away I was so frustrated I started crying, she said we'll I was going to let u donate but no crying in the building ??wtf I will never be back also my arm has freckles
BioLife Plasma Center is clean & orderly. I enjoy chatting with other donors while in line. I had a very nice check-in tech, donation tech & also disconnect tech - all 3 so kind. Thanks for making the process as comfortable & safe as possible. ??
I generally like the staff on the floor. Always friendly and attentive to the donor. However, the long lines have become ridiculous. This place is based off scheduling so it confuses me that they continue to over schedule the donors and not have efficient enough staff to handle what was scheduled. On top of this I know there is about two mangers there present in the center most of the time. However, they never seem to be on the floor to assist with the donation process and I do not see that many new people.
Completed my 4th donation today at this BioLife location. I have interacted with multiple employees during each donation as well as observing them with others there to donate and I have absolutely nothing negative to say. They have been friendly and polite. It's also great to see that they appear to enjoy working with one another. ??
always friendly- quick in and out most visits.
Had just left my doctor's office with perfect numbers on everything. Came to do a donation. First I am told my pulse was too high. It was perfect at the doctors office. Then I waited 10 minutes. Pulse was fine but she said my bottom blood pressure number was too high. It was also perfect at my doctor's office. Either the equipment is off at this location or the staff is not properly doing the testing. I drive 45 minutes to donate and it is extremely annoying to not be able to donate.
The staff is always friendly every time you show up, no matter what time it is here at the Middletown location. They are pretty quick and efficient with trying to get you in and out in a reasonable time. The facility also is always clean maintained. I would recommend this location. I've had Autum a few times as my tech and she's always kind and in a good mood !
Was great up until it was time to find the veins in my arm and the nurse who came to do the job was angry and impatient. She seemed ready to go home and after barely looking at my arm told me to go home. After waiting 2 hours and not being given water until right beforehand. Whoever she was I never want her near me or anyone else with that attitude I'll be sure to let the staff know if I ever come back.
I absolutely love this place! I was really nervous at first, but everyone I spoke with was so pleasant and turned what was originally a nerve-wracking ordeal into a pleasant experience. They make it very easy to donate, the app they use works really well, the money is good for how little you have to do, the building is very clean & well taken care of, and the staff is incredible. I have to give more praise to Mikki in particular. She's usually there when I donate, and is fantastic at finding and hitting
I go to donate twice a week. Most times are quick and efficient. I have difficult veins and a few times the technician was unable to get the needle in the vein. They still seem to want me to come back. Very pleasant people there.
My most recent appointment was a bit disappointing. While my attendant was by himself in our area, I waited over 30 minutes to be attend to and someone who arrived after me, was attended to before me.
This center is very professional and the staff works hard to make donating quick and painless. I have difficult veins and a few of the staff have made it their mission to learn my arm so I can donate comfortably. Mikki is the best! Friendly and gentle and genuine. Would recommend this center to everyone!
I probably couldn't have picked a better location to donate at. The facility is in decent shape, it's clean and nice looking inside. The people that work there are just the best around. Mandi, Jen, Nikki, Liz, Muhammad, Jason? too many names to remember, are always super friendly and helpful. Thanks for always taking good care of me y?all!
The medical techs are friendly and professional and it's usually fairly quick, depending on the time of day, etc. I would give the center 5 stars, but it's not managed well. I've been going there over 2 months and the men?s restroom has been in dire need of repair, making it unsanitary and unusable. I'm sure there are plumbers in Middletown. The manger should hire one before the board of health does an inspection.
Great place and staff! Understandably they are busy, yet I have never been able to reach anyone at any of the extensions when I call to ask questions, nor have I gotten a call back after leaving a message, only reason why I did not give 5 stars. HOWEVER, the staff is all fantastic and super informative and helpful when I have been in. If you decide to donate, be sure to bring a blanket as it is cold in there and also the last 5 to 10 min process you will more than likely get the chills.
Easy process getting checked in. The person placing the needle and taking my blood sample did amazing. Hardly felt the needle go in which is usually the worst part of the whole procedure. Mohamed did great, very gentle.
Very professional staff, explains the process very well and the place is well kept. The staff make good conversation which makes the environment a bit friendlier. Definitely better than other places I've viewed. Highly recommend.
Proceed with caution when choosing to donate here. I've been donating at this place for years and I can say with the utmost confidence they are medically negligent. They tried to stick a needle in my arm sideways and blew my vein out. They have no idea what they are doing. Do some research on different plasma donation places before signing your life away to BioLife
This center is really clean and friendly. Years ago I went to a different plasma center. I never felt comfortable , it was slow and you couldn't make appointments so you did a lot of standing and waiting. Here I am in and out quickly because the appointments only allow for so many to be there at one time. The staff members are very friendly, kind and considered.
These people are the latest get rich scheme. No doubt the product the supply is highly necessary but the way they lure people in is a real bate and switch. On line they say you can get 800 dollars for new clients then when you to the local clinic it turns into 600 dollars then when you are engaged into getting into the system they explain that yes you can make 800 dollars by giving plasma 7 or 8 times. So your not getting anything special just what the normal fee is for donating plasma. This begs the qu
If I could nominate Mikki For employee of the month, I would. She is very kind, polite, has conversation with you. But what's most important knows how to stick my veins Without it hurting. That's why I Keep coming back. She is the best. Thank you so much
I would like to thank Noah for doing such a good job. Every time I've been in he's been kind has good conversation gets his job done quickly and accurately. When unhooking me it didnt hurt when removing the needle. Well done!!
I've been going here on and off for years, and they are a very clean and professional facility. I'd like to give a special shoutout to some of the phlebs that have a done a great job sticking me recently, Noah and Jackie! Marcus did a great job hooking up my machine and getting me out the door, too!
bark* First time hoomans, expect to be there for around 1.5 - 2 hours. But don't worry, your owner will be okay! The other hoomans are super nice! Get paid to doom scroll on you're phone, as you hoomans do. Plus, you're helping out a good cause. Great experience, will be back. Doggo approved ??
Train the Phlebotomist properly they just stick us wherever they feel like. It's definitely a big problem when my arm looks like I'm doing extra my boss had questioned me had to explain..... they need to put the needle where we ask not wherever they want especially if we ask and they say no problem that is just disrespectful to us as donors. Please relay the memo especially if the donor is a red stick there should be a competent person on the floor at all times to handle the situation in a more professiona
The experience was smooth, quick and efficient! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable
My experience was outstanding, I was met at the door by a young woman named Harlie. She was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable through the process. I would recommend to anyone to go in and speak to BioLife. If the other individuals are as helpful and accommodating as Harlie, I don't think it's possible for anyone to have any issues. In closing, it was a great experience due to the treatment I received.
Since my last review thing have changed for the better. Fair treatment with bonuses and no more of someone changing my appointment....hope to with one of 125 prizes Thur the raffle
The staff is always pleasant and helpful. It gets busy at times and the entire process takes longer than anticipated, but the staff works hard to keep up. Their new machines are more efficient, so that helps. I've been using this location for years and recognize dozens of excellent staff members, but I don't remember everyone's names! Mohammed, Autumn, Milissa, Brittany and Mikki stand out because I see them most often and they're always awesome. The only constructive criticism I can offer is past experien
Extremely disappointed. I was excited to start the process of donating plasma yesterday. Everything was going smoothly until the physical. The nurse who took me back was extemly rude and condescending. She was not helpful in anyway and made me feel extemly uncomfortable as she had a attitude with every response she gave to me. I of course was upset by her attitude and talking to me like I am an idiot. And I left. After I calmed down I asked to finish my physical with another nurse. She was very kind and exp
I've been coming here for almost 2 years and I've always had a good experience. A few people that do a great job in my opinion are Harlie and Jackie. They're both quick, helpful and keep it a positive experience. Everyone there is super nice.
My appointment time was 6:20 am, I was ninth in line after answering computer questions. When I finally made it to the donation area where I waited another 30 minutes to get hooked up to the machine. I did not leave BioLife till 7:50 am. So my question is why make an appointment if that does not help you get out quicker?
This is the most professional staff, I've ever seen at a donation center. I recently came from CSL Plasma. And, talk about a 360. The staff is great, friendly, and is always able to ask any of my questions, I've had so far. I would highly recommend BioLife for anyone that wants to donate plasma.
I'm a big fan of this location. I've had bad experiences at different companies and from day 1 BoiLife Middletown has been amazing. From friendly chats with the Harlie at the screening section, a great conversation with Brit while she set up my machine, Sam did a great job on sticking my hard to find veins, and Miranda stopped by to see how I was doing. I'm always impressed with how the team works together seamlessly to provide a pleasant experience. Keep up the great work!
I've only had positive experiences at BioLife Plasma Services. Very clean and staff is very friendly and professional! Although all staff has provided great service, Mikki stands out the most. She is highly personable, professional and consistent in her sticks as well as her passion and care for each donor.
Everyone on the team has done an amazing job. My last experience with Mandi was phenomenal, very quick and easy process. Was there to address any questions I had. Will absolutley continue coming back!
I have donated 3 times here recently as a new donor. The first appointment does take 3-4 hours due to all the questions and examinations you go through before your donation. I have had a good experience so far. I have been scheduling my appointments Saturdays when they first open & Tuesdays after 7pm. I've been able to get seated almost right away and I now spend less than an hour & 15 mins here each donation total. It's a clean facility and the staff are pretty nice. I definitely recommend making sure you
No return calls; 2 messages left and multiple calls placed. Not starting out good. :(
Some of the nicest employess you will ever encounter! They do their best to get you in and out in a timely manner. Mikki is a pleasure to deal with and seems like she's doing the work of 3 people, always on her toes with a smile and so compassionate! Thanks Mikki for making my trip enjoyable!
Mandi and Everyone up front is always great. Been donating for couple years. But after a couple month everyone slowing starts to remember your names. Again mikki and everyone in the donation area are so kind. They try to get you in and out as fast and happy as possible.
This place is the absolute best! Their staff is phenomenal and will go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy! Their phlebotomist Mikki is amazing and definitely my favorite staff member. She is so thorough, kind and helpful! ( not to say the others aren't, because they are also!) I got to witness her couch a very nervous 19 year old last week through the process and she kept him so calm and comforted. I recommend this place over any other!
The staff are really friendly. Mikki is amazing, she is always friendly and makes you feel comfortable! She makes is easy and fast to donte!
Came here last Thursday morning, sat in the chair for 20 min.. of course I had to leave.. Came back friday, sat for another 20 min... Came today again, literally 20 MINUTES!!! I understand if it gets busy but literally empty when just talking and stuff like come on, this is not obligated stuff but if we make appointments is for a reason!
People are always nice however you go an they put the new people in front so if my appointment is at 1010 I don't go back till 1030 or 11 it sucks it makes me not wanna do it
Absolutely ridiculous, all of my vitals were absolutely great.. I believe me telling the worker the questions were making me feel impatient lead her (Erica) to decide on her own that I couldn't donate today. Thanks for wasting 2 hours of my day; to tell me that minor bipolar disorder affects your plasma levels, makes 0 sense, you accept a donor who hasn't ate in a few days but don't take a donor because of minor bi polar disorder. Nothing logical in this decision. I'll keep that in mind next time I ever dri
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
