They do a good job at making sure you're comfortable and are very quick at their work. I'm at ease because their employees are confident in what they do - which makes me more trusting toward them. They're good at keeping calm so you don't panic + very knowledgeable! I would give 5 stars if there were monitor and fingerprint wipes around. So many people touching these screens. But don't worry, they sanitize you very well before poking.
My first visit at BioLife in Mounds View was a very good experience. Not really knowing what to expect, everyone I encountered was friendly and explained everything that was going to happen. Not one person was unpleasant! I felt comfortable and at ease. The entire space was clean and well run. I'm going back again today. I was impressed with every person who helped me!
They changed the rules on how much you need to donate. Came as a surprise to me when I walked in they waited until I was seated and ready to donate before they told me. Before I had to donate 935 units and now they changed it to 1350. I asked if they were paying more since they're taking more and they said yes. After I was finished I found out that was a lie. They took so much out of me I've never been so sick and I'm still sick day 2. They sell our plasma for THOUSANDS of dollars and give us maybe $100 if
I'm usually a fan of BioLife but this place changed my tune. While the employees were FANTASTIC, the experience not so much. Deferred for something over a YEAR AGO that wasn't put in the computer correctly in the FIRST place and I had been donating for a year before this. I definitely won't ever be donating with. BioLife any time again.
I've been going for about 1/2 a year now to give back and make a little extra income to support youth sports. I'm impressed with the consistency in BioLife protocols and process standards. Of all the great techs there if you are lucky enough to get Maggie in your pod as your tech she is fantastic. Super attentive to keeping things moving efficiently and she is very skilled with her sticks being on point and painless. It's also a minor detail but always appreciated when she wraps you up at the end she
I've had a fantastic experience with BioLife Plasma Services! The staff is always professional, friendly, and efficient, making the donation process smooth and stress-free. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and organized, which adds to the comfort of every visit. The check-in process is straightforward, and the staff takes the time to explain everything clearly. They genuinely care about donors? well-being and ensure that each visit is safe and comfortable. The compensation is also a great incentive,
After a particularly poor donation experience, my arm is very swollen and black and blue (MASSIVE hematoma). I called four times to talk to a nurse but each time I went to voice mail. Someone did eventually call back. They said they were very busy which is code for understaffed. I won't be going back to donate plasma again.
After being a 17 year client I was astonished they switched to a new "Aroura Xi system" which increases on average ~11.5 increase in plasma donated per donor which is great if they increased compensation but know only increased time donating and the feeling of being squeezed like a lemon for the last drop. Done with plasma donation after this change. So sad
Unacceptable customer service. Website allows me to make an appointment and then when I arrive for it they tell me I can't give plasma until next week because they are doing a blood test. I understand delaying donation to test blood but they NEED to inform people before they make an appointment and go out of their way to prep and arrive for their appointment. Just plain rude
BEWARE: Misleading $750 offer + surprise card fee I returned to BioLife after over 2 years for the $750 for 8 donations lapsed donor promo. Was told I'd get $100 for donations 1, 2, and 8, and $90 for the rest. During my physical, I asked for a new payment card because mine expires this month (6/25). They gave me one on the floor. When I checked the app later, I saw a $4.95 fee had already been charged to it. I asked the phlebotomist to call a manager so I could address it. She did?but instead of speakin
The beginning to check-in and wait 15-20 minutes past my scheduled appointment time (5:45pm) to begin the process was frustrating. However, all the staff was very nice and apologetic for the wait. Lydia was amazing with getting me all set up to donate. She throughly explained everything before she did it, made me feel very comfortable, checked in throughout my donation time to make sure I was doing ok, and was overall wonderful to work with. If we had the option to select who helps set us up with the donati
Just drove here all the way from Minneapolis to donate. Just for them to nonchalantly tell me that they ?lost? my last blood sample so I couldn't donate. Then had the nerve to ask me to donate another sample to send off meanwhile i wouldn't be getting paid for the new sample or even given some sort of credit for their mistake. They just expected me to willing give them a new blood sample when they lost my last one. Why would I trust yall with a new sample when yall lost my last one and didn't even inform me
The staff made sure I was comfortable and my blood pressure was up because I was nervous and they worked with me. I told Sarah I had to be at work by 8:15 and she checked on me and made sure my machine was working efficiently because it started slow then she readjusted everything and I was able to leave on time.
I asked for a lead and I ended up getting somebody who was able to find my vein, but the system wasn't going fast and they had to end my donation early. She was not a lead, and that kind of resulted in The donation ending early. I like the nighttime better
Had a very disappointing and disrespectful encounter today 06/03/2025 at the moundsview facility. This was my supposed second visit to donate. I definitely noticed the arrogance and somewhat rude attitude of the front desk personnel, a young guy 6+ ft tall at the left end of the desk, on my first visit last week. It was obvious today that I wasn't just overly assuming. Long story short, I was WRONGFULLY *accused of "stepping out" (it is a rule not to step out after checking in)of the facility by 4 differen
NOT Impressed by my experience at all I actually left halfway through my initial appointment set up. Either people are that broke and there's that many people donating plasma to get cash or this building is severely understaffed. It took me an hour and a half until I was waiting in line to have my physical done. There was one exam room being used. There was six white card People in front of me, whatever that means, I remember hearing the worker say that, and there was three physicals in front of me. by the
I've been going here twice a week for about a year now. I had to come in and get my blood drawn due to having low protein; unfortunately I was just informed that they don't know where my blood went - as it was never sent to the lab. I was instructed to come back in so they can draw more of my blood. The blood that they lost. The woman I spoke to on the phone was incredibly rude with me and offered no condolences. She only repeated herself and then seemingly took pleasure in dismissing me. Thank you for w
I have no issues in the past at BioLife in Maple Grove, MN until transferred to this place Mound Views is the issues for 3 times in a long time denied. This place will not let you in for donation plasma due medical marijuana license and FDA even you haven't use prescription. It's ridiculous.
Always friendly staff. Place is clean compared to other donation type places. And always seems to go as quickly as they can
I'd love to give a huge shout out to Tasha. She was incredibly helpful and informative when another tech fell behind. Her section was stocked, pre set up And she had time to help others. I would have been left waiting for 45 mins if it wasn't for her. Thank you Tasha ????
I had a sample come back low so they cancelled all of my future appointments, meaning I got multiple emails to my phone but no call or explanation as to why. I called them to find out why and she told me. Beear in mind is it VERY unusual to reach an actual nurse. I asked why they did not inform me prior to me getting all the cancelation emails. She said we would have called later, I said they should call first. Said that's not how they do it. Then I went fir sample and the guy checking me in wants to tell
I strongly feel I was discriminated against and grilled relentlessly because I'm not on a bunch of medication's and I don't have a bunch of illnesses At my age. I was Indirectly accused of lying on my Application and every single person treated Me as if something was wrong with me After I filled out my application. I do not appreciate this discrimination. Horrible experience and I never was able to donate after two hours of getting grilled and ridiculed in that place. Colossal waste of time energy and three
Since they have lots of new stuff it has changed a lot. Unannounced blood samples and that twice since the blood was not processed the first time. One Operator is saying it's fine to continue as long nobody is calling, then you show up and the system doesn't allow you to log in, guess what? i cannot donate as long the blood sampling is still pending. feels like nobody is talking with each other. no solutions from there side, i appreciate the apology but non factors are in my control and that unprofessional
The staff is very knowledgeable about the position that they have with the company. The facility is clean and sanitary and I would recommend your company to any of my friends that are looking for a little extra cash.
Staff doing the plasma draw is good. Those doing the testing is hit or miss on consistency. Rescheduling is a must for time. The actual donation payment is not enough. Takes hour too and from driving time, fuel expense and hour or more donation time doesn't pay enough. Pay more and get more clients.
BioLife is a great place to donate plasma. They are quick through the screening process and work quickly to get you through the donation process and back on your way. Staff there is amazing and you always see the same faces, which makes it even easier to donate. Definitely would recommend the Mounds View location!
You act as though the money part doesn't matter to the people who donate!! When you offer less after missing a week it makes me think I should miss another week. Just keep it consistent. Mine should be $150 per week. You won't do anything about this message. I have sent numerous ones without any response!!!! Why even reach out if you are not listening?????
My first donation of the week. Had an inexperienced person place the needle. Ended up with hematoma after partial donation. Needle was placed in other arm and software glitch in machine required donation to end without getting my red blood cells back. People were all really nice but I ended up with terrible bruising and pain. Unable to donate for a while. Sure not worth $40.
LPN was pretty shockingly rude about my lipid levels and then directed me to the wrong part of the building altogether while all other employees were helpful and kind. Set to go again, but I do hope to never interact with that particular employee again.
Great people and employees! I've had very great support staff each time I've donated. 2 thumbs up!
Staff was nice, but they will not let me donate becuase I have a non contagious chronic illness. That makes me sensitive to temperature. If i was 13 i could donate with it ??. When iv done it many other places. Would highly recommend spending your time somewhere else if you have medical problems. By the way it says I can do it on ur page too like the heck.
Very nice staff took me through the whole process and explained everything to me. Easy to donate and help people who need it.
I've been coming to this location for the past 2 months, and I've had a great experience each time. It's clean, organized, and runs on time with appointments. The team here is friendly, efficient, and they interact well with each other, which makes it a positive environment for everyone. This will be my last donation for a while, and it couldn't have gone any better. Jocelyn did my intake, and she was quick but very pleasant (even at 7:30 am). ?? Lydia was the technician who helped me with my donation. I'm
Hello to all aspiring donors. I would like to recommend this place! The most attentive and sensitive doctors work here! But today an unpleasant incident happened to me. During the plasma donation, I was served by a very pleasant and professional nurse, but when it was time to finish, she called a fellow intern to finish and remove the needle for me. His hands were shaking and everything fell to the floor, it was clear that he was very nervous. When he got the needle out for me it was very painful. He left m
All the staff are friendly and helpful, and pretty good ?stickers?! The one thing that would make the experience more enjoyable is if each pod had one wider bed for us plus sized people. I always feel as if I am going to fall off the bed. Thanks!
Melissa is very rude and unprofessional. I got an offer and I came into the center to get a drug test that I had schedule for 1:00 pm. I came at 12:50, and checked in at the front desk. The nurse didn't get to me until 1:35 and then Melissa rescinded my offer. It's not my fault that your staff are unorganized and don't care for their employees or their time. Melissa?s grammar in the emails is also wrong. If you're thinking of working here don't. They scheduled two interviews at the same time and I saw the o
Everyone is so kind and works very hard to make sure my experience is great. They are quick and respectful of my time.
BioLife is very well run, like a precision watch: people arrive for an appointment, move through steps, do what they need to do and move on. The staff is very friendly, calling you by name throughout the time. The system is well programmed to determine if there have been any health or risk changes since the last visit. Parking is ample and easily accessed.
I've donated for over a year and unfortunate things have happened but I've never held it against them. However, for the past week+ I haven't been able to donate because we're waiting on a test result. The only way I know I if I can't donate is showing up and getting rejected. No one will answer the phone. No one returns my voicemail. My time should also have value.
Make sure my arm is wrapped tight after donating. As I was walking out, my right arm started bleeding all over myself and the floor. This happened to my fiance last week as well.
Stressful experience every time I've gone in. Generally, the staff are experienced, but you can tell it's hectic and there's a lot of people coming in and out. They're not exactly the most personable which I can forgive because of how many people come in and out, but I definitely felt like cattle. Kind of an unpleasant atmosphere. I have naturally smaller veins because of a genetic condition but once you stick it right it comes out like anyone else. I've had experienced staff have no issue getting my ve
All my visits have been impressively quick, just over an hour. I am a smaller person, so that may play into it in part. All my draws have been just under 700 units. The first visit takes more time, to be expected, to go through the entire screening. I have smaller veins so I get a lead VP each time and have never needed more than one-attempt to have a needle inserted. I did have a near fainting reaction during my second draw but I spoke up right away and was taken care of immediately. It is imperative you e
I don't recall any names of the people who I encountered in my 3 visits but they've all been pleasant to deal with. Don't change a thing.
I have had two successful donations here out of four. The two failed attempts I lost over 300 ml of blood even though I let the staff try and stick my other arm. Being a lead stick (a donor that needs an experienced tech) is basically obsolete, they are so distracted because they are understaffed. I now have TWO hematomas, one in each arm even after being a lead stick. I did everything that was suggested to me, making sure im drinking enough water and eating well, staying calm. Still leaving the facility wi
My husband and I have been donating for a year. It has always been a good experience and has been helpful to building extra fun/trip money for our family. Definitely a perk to be helping others in the process.
I was referred to the Mounds View location by the staff at the Hudson Road location. They said this location should be able to weigh larger people. There is nothing stating someone who is 400lb+ can't donate with BioLife. I believe it was Jennifer that called me back this morning after I inquired first to see if their scales support larger people. I purposely did that before wasting my time and gas to drive up to the MoundsView location. Only yet to be embarrassed by their staff and told I am too big to d
I had a Great experience this morning, from the person checking me in to the person doing the service. Just Awesome! Shout out to the nice nurse who did the physical! Enjoy a photo of Charlie my cat.
They poked the needle all the way through my vein so when the return process started blood was just going into my arm. When I told them I was light headed and nauseous the nurses proceeded to tell me it was because I hadn't eaten enough. They also made fun of me for that in front of more nurses that showed up. I could barely move my arm for the rest of the day and was left with the worst bruise of my life that has only gotten worse as time goes on.
if you have ever in you're life been diagnosed with any depression, anxiety, ptsd do NOT TELL them. just like almost every single person in the world i have a mental health diagnoses and i am not allowed to donate plasma here which is very discriminatory and sad. every other place does not care about what you've been diagnosed with. (Csl, Octapharma)
It's usually pretty good but sometimes they offer appointment slots even when they don't have all the staffing to get to you within a reasonable time frame. I wasn't about to flip out on the people there because I know they are just working for the ones responsible for crappy logistics so it's not on them. After they took my vitals and pricked my finger I went to sit down in the chair where I waited for 40 minutes before anyone came over to get me started in drawing my plasma
Many people under training doing experiments on your arms and veins .please be careful when you see if the nurse attending is new or trainee. It's a messip
I have not been to the other 2 locations in the metro but the staff here are great for the most part and long lines usually move pretty fast. It was intimidating at first bc I didn't know what to expect donating but they walk you through all of the details to make you feel more comfortable. The facility is clean and has lots of parking. The extra money is such a bonus and helping patients who need plasma is a nice feeling.
The people here are very professional. Attention is paid to everyone and every detail. They make you feel like you are really helping people by donating plasma.
From setting up an account to being checked on before I left was so easy! I was able to create an account on my own. I called to make my physical and first donation appoint so I could ask a few questions. The person I spoke with was kind and informative! When I came to the facility I was greeted and given more information on what to expect. The questionnaire gave me a better understanding how I can make sure I'm doing my part for donating. My physical was a breeze! Then to donating! Again the staff were gre
Overall, this was a pleasant experience. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile, not hassled about timing. Prescreening, I must say, the technology is a marvel of efficiency. The computer questions were smooth and had no glitches and no problems with fingerprint access. The tech was professional and friendly and courteous. the sections were being ru smoothly and efficiently. I was in the Brown section with Kadiza as my nurse. he is rather new, but very good at every aspect from star
I have gone to this site 3 times and still haven't donated. The first time, I had an appointment with physical scheduled. There was one person doing the ?physical? part of the appointment and several other people waiting. I can only go in the evenings after work so after waiting for an hour or more, they said she only had time for one more person and since I wasn't the next person in line, I was asked to leave since they were closing. The next time I went, I got in for my physical and went through the ?ch
What a great place for giving! But the only thing if this area could improve is the waiting life clarification. I came the second time donation someone cut in front of me for checking blood, pulse and weight. At least make a sign or give us a numbers and call.. This will be more organize and professional.
They never answer the phone. I asked one of the processors to help me with the app because it was not working properly and was not given any answers. I came in as a new doner and did not receive the bonus I was told I would get. I have tried calling several times and the phone is never picked up by anyone. My fist experience was not as great as I expected it to be-and i came from CSL in St. Paul as a platinum donor. I may have made a mistake.
I had a good first 6 appointments but on my 7th the needle went too far up my arm and now I have bruises all on my arm. The staff said it's the worst he's seen in 7 months. These people need to be trained better with needles because if not they will just keep hurting people like that. Try other places before here
Sadly used to come here for over TWENTY donations. I bring my fianc? and it's her first time donating, I understand being alone for physical and the questions. But every worker was extremely rude towards me as soon as it was realized I wasn't donating and just there as emotional support. What a way to welcome scared new donors who are bringing their support system. If you are scared and want to bring someone to stay nearby they will DENY YOU and openly be rude to the non donor. Never coming back to this
The nurse who placed the needle and removed it was very friendly and good at what she does. Raime initiated pleasant conversations with myself and other clients. She was also on top of things in her section, taking care of clients in a timely manner. I'd love to have her again next time I visit.
The problem with BioLife is they allow inexperienced people to work on you. My first two donations went well, however, the last two were bad enough that I will not be going back. My second to last donation, the girl doing the IV was struggling and instead of asking for help just just kept trying to get the IV in. Finally she asked someone to help her adjust it but this person also had no idea what she was doing. When we decided the donation just wasn't going to work that day they went to unhook me but the m
As someone with a lot of experience donating at biolife, most of my visit was pretty typical. However, the wait time once I had gotten into the chair was the worst I have ever seen. I waited 25 minutes to be hooked up to start. My partner waited 50 minutes and they beat me out to the floor. They also watched the hook up and complete donation of a person the sat down just before them. Not one of the workers seemed to be bothered as they wandered aimlessly and slowly. Additionally, being unhooked was so viole
The center looks welcoming and friendly. The staff are also very helpful with questions, communicating and nice to me! I had a food experience with the ambience. I would suggest probably adding a few more chairs :)!
Very clean, friendly and helpful. I was nervous at first but the staff was so friendly and helpful.
Brandon at the Moundsview BioLife did an excellent job today. Painless needle stick to boost, for the plasma draw.
This place is always so unorganized and the staff stand around and talk when they probably should be working. There has only been a couple times that I've come in that it didn't take 20/30 minutes to stick me. If they would stop the talking so much they wouldn't fall behind and things would run so much smoother. As a manager this must be embarrassing.
I believe if they offered incentives to staff for not having clients waiting forever to get started abs being a little more cautious about causing bruising. I've missed out on a lot of 2nd appointments for this
I've been coming to the Moundsview location for a ridiculous amount of time, almost 20 years, and I've consistently had a good experience.
I've been a donor here for years. I've been able to finagle through Biolifes shortcomings many times at the Moundsview location, but this time, when the scheduled xtra protein lab was sent out, my account is deferred, so I'm unable to make an appointment. I tried to call 10 times in 2 days with no answer or call back from leaving a message for help, so I drove in and waited in line. I was told I had to see a nurse, and the nurse was unable to see why I couldn't make an appointment, but she could see 2 da
I'm a new donor and have gone to this location a total of 3 times, and have only been able to donate once. Starting off, I will say the facility is clean and staff are generally pleasant. The first time I went in, I was there for 1.5-2 hrs, which I expected due to being a first time donor and needing a physical. At this appointment, I was brought to the nurse's area TWICE- once to complete my physical, review my meds, etc. and then another time to review my meds. Each time you're brought to the nurse's are
The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions
It's overall a nice plasma center. The only thing I am not fond of is the machines telling me to pump harder when I am pumping as hard as I can even harder doesn't make sense to me when I am pumping and the machine sayd that it is not enough. That needs to be fixed on those machines. Before I never had a problem with the machines telling me to pump harder so they is my only issue. And I guess when my pulse is a little too high some people just have a high resting heart rate I feel as if it should be for the
The staff are so nice, efficient, and professional. It's really impressive. You can also see how team focused they are. I wish people in my own industry had that work ethic.
Most of the staff is great and they do their jobs efficiently. There are some who really hustle and some who drag. Just like everywhere. The new machines are great because they are so fast but on a busy day you still might wait in multiple lines and be waiting. My donating time could be 45 min. but I'm still there two hours based on the volume of donators and staff. My biggest gripe is with the grounds and women's restroom. The parking lot is disgusting with trash everywhere all the time obviously that's on
Unfortunately my last donation didn't go well and was very painful. The needle was not inserted well and blew my vein. It was some of the worst pain shooting up my arm. She attempted to change arms, but quickly realized it wasn't working well for her. She went and asked for help thankfully, and the gentleman that took over was very gentle and attempted to correct what she had started. My arm one week later still hurts a great deal and is covered in black and blue marks. I had every intention of doing this
I asked some very simple questions about 3 different deferrals, because they kept inexplicably impeding my ability to donate after months of donating without any issues. Gary, the site manager was extremely unprofessional and quickly became confrontational because he didn't feel he should have to explain to me why these deferrals were happening? I told him that I wanted to speak with a direct supervisor. The next morning she called me and stated that Gary said I was cursing at him and he felt threatened. Th
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. On Monday 106/76 blood pressure is too high and you have to leave, on Tuesday 129/81 is just fine. On Wednesday a little dry skin is no problem, on Thursday any dry skin ever anywhere on your body is no good. If you're lucky you *might* be able to donate; buy a lotto ticket while you're at it.
I've gotten screwed the last 2 visits. I have never been paid that littlle. Twice in a row.
This place is so nice! I don't understand why it's so low rated. The place is spacious, clean, and nice to look at. The waiting area has magazines and has comfortable seats. The design of the building allows natural light in. The employees are polite and professional. They know what they're doing regarding the needle insertion,(because it's painless the way they do it here, and I really appreciate that) and they're empathetic with great bedside manner. It is most certainly worth the trip up here!
The only reason I rated it as satisfied was because the environment is very clean and the process to donate goes very quickly for me. Otherwise sometimes more often then not it takes forever to get hooked up and and even get disconnected. My suggestion is to staff more workers.
A place full of workers but no one never answer the front desk phone if your gonna waste someone time by driving to this place and not letting them donate at least answer the front desk phone this place should always have a front desk staff member for a place full of staff thanks for wasteing my gas and time
The BioLife on Moundsview Blvd. (Hwy 10) is the best. Literally the best. Ive been donating for a couple years and this location continues to impress me with their knowledge, their friendliness, and quality customer service. Aside from that they are continuously cleaning their stations and ensuring their equipment is prepped for the next person. They are respectful of time, space, and ensure that you are comfortable even though a needle is going into your arm and they are the ones doing it. They train their
Has Been solid place, now they're taking more plasma for the same amount of money ?? the new machines feel like a money grab. Plasma grab?.
I was in and out in about an hour. Staff were great and one of the people that has missed my vein 4 other times was able to get a successful poke this time. I was pretty proud of her and grateful to not have to get adjusted.
Was denied the ability to donate plasma because my arm had two little red dots on it. Also not following FTC rules that state removing personal info from an organization needs to be as easy as signing up when it is not.
Many of the phlebotomist add a personal touch to each visit. Katie at the Moundsview MN location is the best.
Less of a wait time to be connected to a plasma machine. I waited a total of 1 hour maybe more (I checked the clock) before I was even connected to a machine. Granted one of the hematologists spilled some blood and had to clean it up but nobody came to assist her with the section, and by the time she finished cleaning almost the entire section was waiting to be connected in to a machine. There needs to be more help from other sections.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
