BioLife Plasma Services Mt Pleasant, MI

Started donating a few weeks ago and everything was going fine. Friendly staff and a good environment. Suddenly, all of my appointments are cancelled and the app says I am ineligible to donate and to contact the location for details. Five phone calls and two voice mails to the location have been unanswered. I have no idea what is going on. EDIT: I followed the recommendation below in the Response from the owner section. I like the professionalism at BioLife. Clean facility. Everyone is very nice. Would be beneficial to have a BioLife in Northern Michigan. TC has a College. Roscommon/Kirtland College. Cadillac/Baker College. Harrison/ NMC. Although not just for college kids to donate, but would be beneficial for this area. That is the only thing I dislike--- the drive from LC to Mt Pleasant. After making my initial appointment, arranging my schedule to accommodate the appointment, driving an hour to the appointment, going through the initial screening I was finally told I needed a doctors permission slip to donate, because of my age. I've donated plasma almost 200 times and have never been told that. Would have been nice to be informed of this policy before wasting my time

The phlebotomists they have here are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to their profession. I can guarantee you each and every single on passed their college courses with a D-. The new tape is horrible. It so sticky it rips tons of hair off my arm every time. The old stuff was just fine. My feeling is this change was done to save money but your company is slowly paying less for plasma so let spend the money to get old tape back.

NOT worth it at all, they don't pay the donors well at all anymore & the lines are the longest , never enough people staffed to help ,Absolutely slow & rude service in the front desk from the old ladies , constantly & the more you complain about it they'll kick you out and defer you from not coming back. Surprised that as busy as they are the flow is pretty smooth. Sometimes are busier than others & you may have to wait but everything flows smooth. Staff is great..I'm continuously there 3 hours or more. I almost always have a problem checking in. Not worth the money.

I have on abd of donated plasma at a few okaces over the years and this is one of the best facilities that tries to taje care of you, try to maje syre your happy, the workers maje it feel safe and comfirtable. Best yhing is that they are clean on many oeveks too.

Facility is clean. Sometimes they are efficient, I've had days when it takes an hour and I've had days that took over 2 hours. It really depends on who is working. Updating my review. I have been visiting this location for over a year now. I have had a few issues with an employee that was entering incorrect information on my vitals then saying that I couldn't donate. The employee took my BP and pulse and said my pulse was 103 and that I couldn't donate. When I looked at the results on the screen it showed 9

I have been in the health field for over 13 years and the pace and slow flow of mount pleasant biolife center is disgraceful. They say 30-60 mins but depending on the day and time your usually looking at about a 2 hour or more wait. They either need more workers or teach their current workers how to pick up the pace and about time management.

Drove 60 miles one way and wasted a morning and gas just to be turned away. I do not recommend and I won't be returning.

Make a difference, and make some money. I've been donating here now for a few months. Everyone is very nice and helpful. They do their best to get you in and out as quickly as possible. I recommend scheduling in the morning or early afternoon, as it can get very busy. Look to spend at least an hour from check-in to finish. Bring headphones, and stay hydrated.

DO NOT COME HERE! THEY LIE RIGHT TO UR FACE!!! So once again this place has jipped me out of money. I haven't donated in a year. I called and talked to someone who told me I would be considered a returning new donor and would get 100 for the 1st 2 visits. When I get here they say that's not true and only giving me 60. The staff has been wonderful to work with, facility is always immaculate and I'm treated very well every time I'm there. I've only had one time where the machine quit working but they were very attentive to make sure my donation was still usable and that my levels were good so I could leave. I've had absolutely no issues at all while donating and would recommend everyone to donate at this location.

The facility is clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. I have been going to the facility for over 3 years now. My appointments are first thing in the morning and I enjoy it. I have a complaint about an employee everytime I get my vitals checked by this one employee she said my iron is always low any other time I go it doesn't happen. Kinda odd considering I take supplements for iron and I do eat pretty good.

I donate at the mt.pleasant michigan site. This place is a very clean and welcoming center. The staff are pleasant and do wat it take to make sure you are comfortable during your donation process. The app that can be used to make appointments on is in need of a lot of work most of the time you cannot confirm your app so there for when you arrive you are not in the system. It took 3 visits to get approved due to medications and diagnoses (reasonably so) and high blood pressure. It's worth trying! I've had great experiences everytime since I started going in August. Everyone is so friendly and I've yet to have a bad poke. I enjoy going:) Hanna finished me up this time and we had some laughs. I've donated at 3 other plasma centers in my life and never have I had so much problems donating BioLife is the worst plasma center I've ever been to and the safe are imperfection honestly is was a unpleasant all the way around I'll never go there again it's even a shitty place to work but that's probably why the workers are unpleasant Just look them up on yelp there are some real reviews most of these reviews are from bots or people who probably only gone a here a few times

Very friendly and helpful courtesy and Professional. You get paid for donating , Twice a week.The employees give you information about where to go what to do from start to finish in their first time with you donating. They offer you a snack and a drink while it's your first time donating. They no longer are giving out stress balls for you to squeeze. I purchased one at Walmart for less than three dollars. I have been coming to bio life in mount pleasant for about 6 months and I have never had a bad experience! The people are so friendly and remember you by name. They are all so sweet and Spencer is excellent. I have very small veins and he always does a perfect with mine! Highly recommend. :)

I've been donating Plasma at the Mt.Pleasant MI location for over a year. I always have a great experience while there, but today was exceptional. Been donating on and off for almost two years and have had my fair share of bad sticks. It's amazing that they allow you to request who pokes you! I typically request Spencer, he is a pro! Also enjoy Bella as well! Overall everyone is very nice and I would highly recommend this center.

The staff here are extremely friendly and I've noticed that they take extra care to remember the many patients that they have. I have veins that are hard to get blood from. My doctor's nurse always send me to the hospital to have blood drawn and many times they are unsuccessful. My first visit there was fine for the most part. Everything was explained. Snacks and water provided. Unfortunately towards the end, my 15 minute timer was ignored by multiple staff members. I was the only donor in the waiting area and there was nothing going on so I was confused as to why my timer wasn't acknowledged. The Mount Pleasant location is always so clean and well staffed! I just adore Spencer as we always have a new movie to catch up on! So many of the employees like Meg and Hannah Mae take time to really know you by name and remember details about you. I love my time spent donating!

Crappy service got skipped for them to work on 3 other people. Bull having to wait 20 min after your done. What's the point in making g us schedule the apts when you guys can't even staff it. Bunch of workers just standing around and the end of session while people have to 20 min to get undone.

Very positive experience, especially working with Spencer. He is proficient at not only getting the IV in place but helpful with keeping Doners calm. He has a great sense of humor , Very friendly and professional. I like to get Spencer, but they are good.

I've been attending this facility on and off since it opened. I've seen a lot of people come and go. Some staff are rude and some are great. Some staff speak to freely about their lives to everyone! The process has definitely improved over the years and could still use some help. Connects and disconnects are hit or miss, sometimes wait 25 minutes for a connect or disconnect! Time equals money, ask for help when you get behind. Don't rush your donors! Have customer service and try to smile! It would be nice

Spencer has some of the best bedside manner at this center. He has been very diligent with making me feel comfortable. I've also observed him many times treating others with the same kindness and attention.

I love this Mt. Pleasant Biolife team, Clara and Spencer are awesome but honestly I've never had a bad experience and I have close to 600 donations. They explain the process and make you feel comfortable. The center is clean and the staff is exceptional!

Mt.Pleasant BioLife?s my regular donation site The girls are very courteous very nice. I've been to several in the state and out of the state .Mount Pleasant is the fastest the quickest, the most efficient. Clean place and personable staff but the blood pressure, pulse machine is very inaccurate compared to my physicians office. It's like a roller-coaster in the numbers and readings.

I am incredibly impressed with the cleanliness and effectiveness of this facility. It has been an amazing patient experience right from the beginning! When I walked in the first time, I was so impressed with the attention to cleanliness of every step in this process. The techs all are so delightful and knowledgeable and do there jobs so efficiently, and it shows!!!!

Everyone usually does a great job at getting people in and out. Ive been donating for 15+ years and 9/10 i have a great experience going in. My 2 favorite techs would be Bella and Brandy. Both are always on top of their game and do their best to keep things moving.

They absolutely despise regular downers. If you are a regular donor you no longer get any extra bonuses for being a regular donor. When the cheap lances, they use fail twice.You're deferred because they can't get you to bleed. When they didn't properly clean the protein reader and the protein reader fails to read your protein your deferred. The only constellation they give is you can change your appointment day and come back tomorrow. Not that you're not scheduled out for 3 weeks from now and can't get a mo

I've been donating for less than a year and to be honest, the beginning was very rough. I got an uncomfortable stick that was painful throughout the donation process and I did have a good bit of bruising for several weeks. I always tensed up. It is currently going very smoothly, thanks to so many special workers that are absolutely patient.

I've been avoiding going in for a month with anxiety about the needles. Megan B listened to my concern and was so gentle that it didn't hurt at all. She made the whole experience worth making another appointment!

I think this place has potential if it could simply get the coupons and referral process better trained. It's a simple training issue! My coupon code that stated it was for me and this location was not originally honored. Before I left I asked again why with someone at the front desk and was told the staff wasn't aware they were having coupon problems and corrected the issue. The morning staff is super nice but my fiancee and I went after 4 and it was definitely a different experience. Very much a different atmosphere. Everybody looked tired, angry, and ready to go. No friendly faces.

Good experience for the most part. I do wish that the "go and sit for 5 minutes" process was more efficient. More than once I have had to sit for 5 because my heart rate is slightly elevated (white coat syndrome here) and due to the multi tasking I am forgotten about and I have to decide how to approach the technician to tell them they forgot about me. i was upset about having to switch centers after moving to a new town, but this one was just as great as my original center. betty and amy were so welcoming and friendly. amy helped me with my physical and betty poked me, both sweet and gentle. they made me feel very comfortable and always had a smile on their face!

The Mt.P Biolife is a great location to donate. Everybody is friendly even if it's hectic and they're running crazy. Although I've never had any issues with anybody here, I have a couple favorites as they are attentive everytime I come in, we can carry on conversations and laugh, those ladies are Betty, Megan, and Sam. :)

Everyone was Amazing! Except for Jennifer that works the front desk! She treated my son and myself so poorly! This was our first time and the next visit I will request to be helped by someone other than her! She should not be greeting all of the wonderful people coming into Biolife! They all deserve a welcoming smile, she does not have that quality!!

Usually a good experience! Kennedy (I think that's her name) has helped me a few times at the front and I absolutely love her. She never makes me feel dumb or stupid and always has a smile on her face. The world needs more people who are just positive and so willing to help like her! I highly recommend The Mount Pleasant location, the staff is always very friendly. Somebody always greets you or atleast smiles at you to acknowledge you. I feel they try their best to get you in and out quickly. And My money is on my card by the time I get back out to my car.

I appreciated the friendliness of the people there like Spencer. People welcome you and you befriend people when you come in regularly. If you have any questions or concerns they are happy to answer and help out.
