One star because of one particular member of staff. I have attempted to donate twice, and today I was turned away because I had brought my daughter with me, under the impression I could have her in the designated children's room. I was told it has not been in operation since 2022, and one blonde girl was genuinely very apologetic-but this is not a out her. Kayden is the rudest, most unprofessional member of staff I've interacted with in any medical setting (and I have and my husband have both worked in the
Don't expect to get your money on time. Don't expect management to care that you havent got your money. Expect to be there for a minimum of 3 hours just to do a normal donation. If your machine stops they will cut the machine so low it is barely doing anything resulting in your time on the machine being almost 2 hours. Everyone that works there is more worried about conversation with friends than actually doing any work. Most times you have to wait for them to get done having fun to take you off the machine
I'm writing this after my 8th donation as a review of my overall experience. I am currently someone who has a lot of free time on my hands, so take that with a grain of salt. The staff have always been polite and are often friendly. They seem competent, though there were some inconsistencies. Of the 8 visits, 3 sticks had to be redone on the other arm due to an improper stick. I bruised after 4 of them. Sometimes bruises were considered passable, and sometimes the same bruises days later were enough for th
I've been coming here for years! The staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. The waiting rooms, donation beds, and screening areas are super clean and well kept. This is a great location to donate and make some money! Even on a tight schedule I never have trouble getting in and out as long as I book my appointment ahead of time :)
Absolutely terrible customer experience. From the time I walked into the time I left I felt like I was being talked down to. It started with Kayden as I was being signed in as a returning donor. I could just feel like it was an inconvenience for her.I tried to making small talk she was just very rude and very blunt. The gentleman in the back I don't remember his name who stuck me was a very polite man who was very concerning. And then for their machine to fail while I was donating and for me to drop blood a
Melissa and Kayla were both super helpful and informative. They made my experience less stressful and were both just wonderful. It was my first time Donating so I was a little nervous and had so many questions, they both were patient and helpful. I appreciate you ladies.
I can in 3 days ago and the young kid who stuck me with the needle missed something because it caused my arm to swell up to the size of a baseball. When another young girl (whatever the name of the blonde haired girl is) came over, she gave me an ice pack and she did the other arm which was just fine. What really bothers me is that when it happened, the girl stated that I could still donate because it didn't look like it would be an issue. Here i was today, and after looking all over their website to see if
Friendly, efficient staff. Clean, well-maintained facility. A nice, relaxing experience every time I am there, and the supplemental income from it is nice as well. Would highly suggest BioLife to friends and family.
Wonderful staff. They make it as easy and fairly simple to donate. Great way to make extra cash? keep up the great work!
Everyone is always so nice and professional! The facility is very clean and well kept and they always make me feel very comfortable with the process of donating plasma.
I love Biolife.., but I will probably not return. Here is why? I received an ad that said I could get up to $850? Sounds great right it is not even attainable to get this much money for my time in my donation in the Indianapolis, Marion, Muncie Kokomo vicinity?? With that being said, it is deplorable that they bring you through the door give you a healthy promotion to almost make this amount? I got 650 because of my ?area that I live in?. The complexity of this is after I come in and I kill myself getting i
The staff is mostly kind and attentive, however they seem to be severely understaffed.. 1. No one answers the phones. I've called 3 times a day (almost every day), since October 11th, for updates, and questions. The center is 24 minutes from my home, and I work 8-5 Monday through Friday..however, in the 63 phone calls I've made, not a single time was the call answered. I've tried other options in the automated system, to no avail. In fact, I've left messages, and not received a single call back. Then when
Great place to donate. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The facility is always clean and sanitary.
Great staff with a good sense of humor, w great atmosphere. I haven't stood in the line for longer than 20 min. Sometimes staff are a little slow to hook you up to the machine but all in all i?ve been going for 3 years and they've treated me well.
Lady at the front counter is extremely rude and condescending. If you want people to return you should have someone else checking people in.
Donor fees keep going down and they haven't offered any bonus in awhile. Place is going down hill and not very competitive with other donation centers. The staff is great other than that it's not really worth the wait times.
Always get out within 1.5 hours evem if it's busy. Great nurses that get to you as quickly as they can and readjust needles perfectly
ZERO STARS!!! I have had several friends including myself go to this location and have gotten a hematoma because the workers don't know how to stick the needle in your arm? I also think more training needs to be done or they just need to hire different people! They also don't let you go in and donate until the bruise is completely gone which takes up to a month to go away!
Super cold in the building but the overall experience as a first time donor was very good. My wife was expecting a snack to be provided afterward during the 15 minute waiting period after donating, but was told no. The $80 was loaded onto the debit card immediately upon registering the card just as the lady promised. Zach was my technician, and he was excellent in explaining the process to me and answering my questions.
I have been giving donations for a while but the last two time I have went they blew out the vain and coast me bruised arm's from moving the needle around so much just yesterday it was running great and half way in they started moving the needle again then moved to left arm and didn't hit the vain again I am just about to go somewhere else I'm scared they our going to damage my veins
MOST of the employees are super sweet and kind. But, Bill from Alexandria is so rude, condescending and full of attitude it's disgusting! He needs to be in another line of work that does not deal with customers. I had to reach out to this location for 3 months to find out why my paperwork hadn't been signed off by the doctor!! Bill was unbearable over the phone! I finally got everything figured out with the doctor and went in for my physical with donation. Not only was Bill the one helping me that morning b
I've been donating at the Muncie facility for a long time now. After a break I decided to donate again. Apparently whoever entered my information in the system put my piercing on the wrong side and because THEY entered it wrong I can't donate anymore. Maybe they should be taught how to enter correct information before we poke people with needles
Has been very frustrating. I have driven an hour on a couple occasions and got turned away. Once for being 11 minutes late. Which is on me. I had an appointment yesterday. Drove all the way there and got turned away. Due to pending results on something. Guy there said should be tomorrow, which is today. And when I called they said up to ten days. I think I'm done coming there.
Horrible experience today. Went in like normal, after a small break, did my questionnaire and was told I would need to have a physical soon but was okay to donate. Got to the screening and they said "Hey you can do that today! Would you like to?" Turns out the answer was no, definitely not. I got deferred because I said yes and now I'm out $75, even though I cleared the screening and the questionnaire. The manager was worthless as well and did not help at all. He just shrugged and said he wouldn't do anythi
I have a blown vein after they missed the vein and dug around in my arm with the needle. I drove 40 minutes one way to try again a day later hoping for a different experience and they wouldn't let me because of the brusing they caused and because the same person who dug around in my arm prior couldn't find two veins in my uninjured arm. In my opinion there needs to be more training with the needle and let people know they can't come in with brusing because some people drive a long way to donate and don't kn
I love the atmosphere at Biolife! Everyone is so wonderful. I feel like I have gotten to know several of the technicians. I actually enjoy going. It is my time to read and regroup! I have recently become aware that the son of a close friend depended on meds from plasma. Donating plasma has become personal to me.
Fatima the best nurse bye far she is so sweet and confident and really good at her job
The personnel are very friendly and check with you during your visit to be sure everything is fine.
Love staff . The manager she might be a supervisor short skinny brown hair i forgot her name but she's the best she's very professional allways smiling good spirit beautiful.. all staff are beautiful people. With inflation Why hasn't everyone's pay gone up. We're helping people what about company charging arm and leg for medicine they make from plasma you can pay more to there customers and help people. Love, piece.
Went in as a new donor and had my 17 year old disabled daughter with me. Staff was not friendly. Waited a considerable amount of time for someone to do the check in. Was sent to another area to wait for vitals to be done, only to be told that my daughter could not be in there due to that being against their policy. Wasted 36 minutes of my time when that could have been said as soon as we walked in the door.
Staff is always so nice! Wait times can be long, but that is not the fault of the staff. I can also promise I was not paid for this review, as someone else has said in their review. I've only had one vein blow with a hematoma and that's because the vein on my left arm curves funny and is NOT good for donating. My right arm looks perfect after every donation. Micah, Seth, Fatima, and others are great sticks and I always donate with fast times when they help me.
Always great customer service and very caring workers.
I had a very good experience here, everyone was very kind and skilled.
They have 2 hours lines just to see if you can donate, meaning if you can't you just wasted 2 hours and your not getting paid for it. The workers are nice and the place is nice but just last week it took me 5 hours to wait in line, do a physical, and donate when in the past that whole process has only taken 2 hours. A normal biolife trip use to take me about an hour and 30 minutes give or take but now around 3 hours is the best you can hope for but it goes longer then that pretty often. People are constantl
Second time in a row I've been paid less than half of what I was promised. Even told the last time that I would be paid at least $80 this time. I'm done with BioLife I will not be back I'm done donating, I apologize to anybody out there that may have needed the medical help. But I'm desperate for the money and I've been flat and lied to by BioLife over and over now. Thanks a lot for kicking me while I'm down when I really need the money and am desperately struggling. Thank you for looking me in the face an
Friendly staff,,, didn't even have to wait long it was a good donation day no problems or issues at all biolife Muncie is a great place to donate and clean
You need to up the donation pay to minimun $65.00 to $100.00. If I drive to Biolife to donate and only get pay $40.00, I'll take a loss. Gas is expensive and my drive is far away. Kayla and Laura have taken good care of me in the past. I had several bad expiriences @ Biolife enough not to want to go back. Also very very long wait. I understand you do what you can do. Employees need to be more responsible to come in and work. We the donors pay the price when you don't show up to work. A donation should not t
If you are actually taking a medication (Prep) to prevent getting HIV, you won't be able to donate. They would rather you be out here taking chances on getting it than trying to prevent getting it. I hope I never have to get anything from Biolife
Ive been donating for nearly a year, and adore coming here. Not only do I benefit from donating to help others, I also have been able to meet incredible people here too. The workers have always been very kind, patient and thorough each time I'm here. You'll be in good hands each time you visit. Incredibly professional and welcoming center.
Truly angry over my experience. I've donated twice a week for a few months now. Money started out great, then slowly went down and down and down to 35$. 35$ to drive 40 miles? No. Then a few weeks ago I had a bad experience. I passed out! The phlebotomist was amazing, he truly cares. However, the nurse staff was incredibly awful. Rude, superior, all knowing royalty! They didn't assess me, just gave me a cracker and told me it was my fault, and I could leave. Driving home I had to pull over on I69 because I
they're up front pretty nice, and have a nice staff. but they have no no-elastic bandages, and instead of getting some, to allow people with that allergy to come in, they refuse to get it, and will permanently defer you from donating your plasma. furthermore, their front door is broken and they havent fixed it yet.
I've been donating at this center for over three years now. I'm not sure what the issue is, but pretty much any day, or any time recently leads to very long waits in the lobby, just to be screened - anywhere from 1-2 hours. That, on top of the approximately one hour donation process is crazy. I used to be able to get a donation completed in around an hour total now it's almost always a minimum of two hours and often close to three. On a Saturday morning they have one person up front screening while the lob
Friendly and informative staff. They made the experience as good as possible.
I have donated here many times, everyone is so friendly, but David the assistant manager is a standout! The way he cares when checking in on you, his love for his job is something we all wish we had! I had a little issue on collecting one day so I had to sit and wait and he made sure to see if I was feeling ok before he left to go home, he did not have to go out of his way to do this! We need more people like him! David you rock! Keep your amazing vibe you out off !
I had some great service at this here place. If you're going to get your bodily fluids sucked out, you wanna do it here. Hands down but palms up and pumping. Stop on in and see the wonderful staff too. The phlebotomy guys and gals do good.
Clean establishment full of wonderful upbeat employees. Wait times vary. Could an hour before you can even start your donation. Compensation for donations while not in a promotion is relatively low. Overall would recommend as long as you're on their promotional deals.
Everyone very kind, helpful, very attentive making 1st timers very comfortable.
Love all of the staff but the administrative side. They are completely lazy as can be! Had to get some paperwork filled out and sent in. My doctor showed me they sent it back asking him for a signature which he did sign. Biolife claimed they never received it. Called many times over and over but no one would answer or return my call. I had my doctor fax them the papers again. Still have not heard from anyone at all on the status. My nephew just died from leukemia which is why I enjoy donating, but now I ca
Everyone is very nice. They all make you feel comfortable and like they want you there. The entire process is pretty quick, about an hour for the initial physical and questionnaire. The donation only lasts 30-60 minutes.
While friendly they do not tell the truth and cause a major waste of my time and money all over a push of a button that they supposedly can not fix even with dr tests showing their nurse pushed the wrong button causing a permanant deferral that should not be. I put on your site same day I put this still have not heard a thing from you, still nothing from you so apparently you do not care how your employees lie and your response is just auto generated because of a bad review. Especially since you Still could
Always a good experience! The staff is professional and they work HARD! It feels good to know I'm helping others?the money is a bonus!
Thought I would update this. I emailed the address below 5 days ago. They asked which location it was so they could address it. I replied immediately with the location. Since then crickets, not a thank you for letting us know. This entire company appears to be completely out of control. Not only the Muncie Indiana location. So if you want to rush to make an appointment with them only to be told to go wait outside for 45 minutes to an hour then this is the company for you. Had an appointment to donate today
Everyone is always so kind and helpful. I've been to other centers where the wait took forever and the workers were very rude. I always get through quickly, and people are so kind here!
The staff was nothing but kind and very thorough. Made me feel very comfortable and were very skilled at their job. I have had nothing but good experiences there.
I really like donating at this center as all the employees are really nice. The only negative thing I have to say is that depending on what time you go, the wait time can either be super long (3-4 hours) or super short. (2 hours) Really good way to make a good amount of money for a good cause
I love the staff! They make sure to keep everything very clean! The first couple of times I was very nervous about being stuck with such a big needle, but they reassured me and talk to me through the process! Definitely recommend!!
The staff is always very friendly and i have never have had a bruise at this facility. But i had a Hilarious experience the last time I was there and I must share it. My donations started off with them blowing my veins (which is the first time that has Ever happened to me). So as they was unhooking me they took off the pressure cup and took it around my head and got the thing stuck in my hair ! so another girl came over and was trying to help get it out. Neither one could get it out so I finally said ?here,
I love the staff, especially Mika ( may have spelled her name wrong ) but the wait is horrible. Managers just sitting in their back rooms instead of coming up and helping with the finger prick stations, which looks horrible. They see the line backed all the way up to the play room, but still stay chilling in their offices. I've only seen one finger pricker at the stations for the past few weeks, and when they get two it's only for 5 minutes at most. Use to take me 2hrs at most but now it's knocking on the d
Very caring and efficient employees who care about your experience. I'm always greeted with a smile and they always provide nice chit chat during the check in process. Although sometimes it takes a long time to get in to donate, I have waited as long as 2 hours to even do my questions,I truly believe they are always working as fast as they can.
The process of donating plasma is quite simple, but anyone who donates also needs to be aware that these appointments also require patience. Be on time, follow directions, be patient, provide help through your donation & get a little extra $ to spend or save. Simple!
I would highly recommend donating at BioLife. After coming here to donate multiple times here are a few things I've noticed: The facilities are always clean and every single procedure is done in a sterile manner no matter how small. They actually prioritize your health instead of trying to play things risky for a quick dollar at your detriment. The staff are all extremely friendly and personable (Fatima is the best) even when they're flooded with customers and it contributes to a very relaxed atmosphere ov
Just sitting here waiting, Trying to decide if it is worth continuing to donate. I expect that it might be another 90-120 min before I get screened. I stopped going to CLS because the wait was too long, and now the money paid to donate is reducing at Biolife, and they got rid of the frequency bonuses. The staff is nice but there is not enough of them and the management allows for too many appointments to be scheduled at the same time. My recommendation would be to allow for check ins to be on the app and qu
The wait times are ridiculous. Donating should only be maybe an hour long process. It's starting to get really irritating. The staff is great though! Super friendly and easy to talk to. It's just those wait times. Please do something about it.
It truly takes forever to get done with the whole process now, I used to be able to get in and out of here in an hour and now sometimes am there for over two. I completely understand being short staffed, literally everywhere is right now but I don't understand why they allow more appointments to be booked than they're even close to being staffed for. I only come back for the big coupons now and even then it's so hard to convince myself to go wait around for hours. I absolutely adore the staff, they are so n
Staff is always professional and personable. They treat me like a person not simply a "plasma source". I have observed they same ting with other donors.
Mindy did a great job getting my pre- donation work done. Emily was excellent at getting the Donation started. As soon as I was finished Sam got me disconnected so I could leave.
I went for my first time on Wednesday and I had a girl named Angel that helped me. She was super nice and helpful which made my first time a little less stressful. I was able to get in and out within 2 hours.
Always a pleasant experience. Very knowledgeable and caring staff!! Been donating for 8 years now and never had an unpleasant experience. With being short staffed and there being longer wait times at times, the staff doesn't let the unhappy and rude people affect them while doing their jobs. Kathleen always seems to brighten my day! Good job done by all!
The staff there are all very polite and friendly!! I always get through pretty quickly for donating and all depending how many are in the building at the time. The facility is very clean and tidy! While you're donating they come check up on you to make sure everything is copacetic and you're comfortable. After each donation the tubing is disposed of properly and they sanitize the chair and the machine very well. Overall I have had very pleasant experiences!!! Worst part about the whole ordeal is that the sa
The facility was very clean, all of the staff members were very helpful and friendly, and it made me feel happy and safe to see how well the staff function as a team.
Workers who interact with donors at the Muncie facility are great; unfortunately there are way too many cases of waiting well over an hour just to be screened prior to your donation meaning you are at your donation for at least two hours, even though your actual donation usually only lasts around 40-45 minutes. Management needs to do something to fix this problem - it's been going on for over a year now. If you don't have enough workers to make this process quicker, adjust how many donors you allow to sched
Great experience! My veins aren't easy to find or poke but they have done a wonderful job as a team to make sure someone with experience on Rollie veins takes care of me! All of them are always in the best mood!
The staff is amazing! The facility is clean! I'm almost a full month in, and each time is just a good a s my first time. I have tiny rolly veins, and Christian is able to find them and get a draw every time. The staff is friendly and professional. Willing to answer any questions you have, and understand any concerns you have, and make me feel comfortable every time I come in. I have recommended them, and will continue to recommend them.
The women that work at this office are terrible and stuck up. They look down on you for donating. The red head old lady and the fatter blonde especially. They complained about the work load...then refused to allow me to donate. They said it was because I had a cat. First they didn't look for my appt. Then they said I was at the wrong location. When I proved I wasn't then they said it was because I had a cat. Terrible experience
Great service, they get us in and out as quickly as possible. Great care and conceren for our well being as well. I would recommend Bio-Life to anyone.
I come here to get a little extra mad money. It is simple clean and professional. The staff here is caring a friendly. They all seem to donate themselves so I feel like they get it. The whole process, after 1st time, takes about an hour. People like Hannah, Jazz, and Clarrisa, treat me like a team member and are always good to me. I always feel welcome.
I always have enjoyed going to BioLife and donating, but recently I have been having a hard time because I'm getting people I don't know that can't stick me properly and I'm not able to donate. I go to donate plasma because I enjoy helping people and when I'm not able to I get upset. I don't just go for the money. Please get me people that have worked there awhile and know me
I have tried and tried to reach them, returning a call from them!! Trying to figure out what needs to be done. I have called multiple times, on different days and different times. I have left 3 messages and they have yet to call back. I find that very unprofessional. They are in the business of helping people they say but can't return the calls of those trying to help as well. By now the promotion is over so it's no use for me to keep trying. Hopefully others have a better experience.
I had a great experience here today! Its been awhile since I've donated last but it is still a good experience as I remember from a while back. I forgot to bring in a piece of mail to verify my address but Clarissa at the front desk was very helpful by showing me how to do it through my ball state account so I didn't have to drive all the way back home for a piece of mail. Once that was all figured out, i was able to donate. I was greeted by Chelsea who was very kind and personable. She talked me through ev
Worst experience I've ever had donating I got talked to like absolute trash and threatened by one of your team memeber I will never come there again nor with 8 friends/family that donates there have a good day and we will all be going back to CSL thanks for your time and p.s. I informed shift manager that day and they never reported it
severely under staffed , waits too long.
The staff was great. The wait was long, but I expected it. My only complaint was I was denied to donate because the blood pressure cuff couldn't fit around my arm. I was told until my arm gets smaller or if they get a cuff, that I can't donate.
Great staff clean environment pay could be better but the staff at this location can't control that buy what it does pay helps between paychecks when it's needed
I had an amazing experience. The staff are professional and kind. Hailey did an amazing job with my venipuncture!!! I didn't even feel it, and my donation ran very smooth the entire time! David is an awesome manager, and is so helpful to his staff and the donors. Thank you BioLife for a great time!
The staff here is super great and I have no complaints there. This place used to be the most efficient place around to donate, I could be in and out in an hour, now I show up for my appointment only to be told it's going to be an hour wait! I understand staffing is an issue everywhere right now, but if that's the case the number of appointments available need to either be decreased to where staffing can keep up with the number of donors being seen, or they just need to do away with appointments and have it
Stepped outside my first time here to make sure my car was locked came back in and was told I can't do it now because i went outside. They need to put a sign on the door or something to let people know going outside disqualifies you! I came from out of town and have to walk home now because i have no money for gas.
Typically I have nice things to say about the professional of this business but my last visit was a complete joke the woman that stuck me shift was about to end and rushed it and messed up and stormed off didn't try to learn from her mistake or anything was more worried about leaving and I express my frustration to management and I get deferred for being rude. Completely ridiculous I will not be coming back here again and will be going to csl from now on. There's two sides to every story you have to be will
Today Kathleen rocked her section. She was super friendly and very efficient. I was only in the center an hour. I also have praise Chelsea for being a super star. She was not in today but I hope to see her on my next visit. Chelsea is also super friendly. Thank you ladies!!
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
