They rarely are running this place effectively. They offer way too many appointment times, which causes so many people going in at the same time and getting everything backed up. They also never have enough people working, which makes the lines even longer. You would think that if this happens to them almost everyday, they would find a more efficient way to run the place. Not to mention the fact that the pay is absolutely horrible compared to how much they will be making off of your plasma.
Went here for my first visit and Nurse Tasha was very nice! She took care of my physical and she made sure I was okay! They were really busy but she works very well under pressure and stress of the busy work hours. She was very Straight forward and caring! Everyone on the team was extremely friendly and very informative!
Scheduling is an absolute dumpster fire. My most recent visit took me an hour before I even got in a bed to donate. Totally defeats the purpose of making appointments. The workers are wonderful, donation was easy and clean, the wait times and queues are atrocious.
Everyone was very nice and helpful from the moment I walked it. Tasha was very nice and informative. I was nervous coming in but was put at ease almost immediately. Great place to donate. Kylin is really good with the needle didn't hurt at all going in or coming out. Edit: came on a Tuesday, expect very long weight times. An hour after my appointment and I'm finally in a chair.
Gotta say! No matter under what pressure this team is in, they will always greet me with a smile. They are always taking their time to explain to anyone on the floor that has questions!! I am always amazed at how quickly they are to get you done and our the door. I have seen tbem attend to minor medical needs with caution and expertise!!! Great Job guys!
Felt like they genuinely cared for my health and didn't cycle me through the door. Took the time to make sure I was able and well enough to drive home; gave me a snack and had me eat when I told them i ate more than an 2 hours ago. Friendly staff who are knowledgeable in the field
Very pleased with the service I've received today. As a returning donor this process can be very tedious. Tasha made the process bearable and put me at ease. She was very polite, knowledgeable, and welcoming. I look forward to returning.Thank you Tasha!
I don't like the wait?.. the wait has gotten out of control. some days are better than others.. any day I can walk out of there with only an hour and a half under my belt is fantastic. Today?s visit was fantastic? I love it when I get to see my favorite people. Alyce is always on her A game.. she is very professional and considerate.. I absolutely love her?
Be prepared to wait over an hour to even get seated in a chair. This has gotten worse since they have switched to the new machines. They are offering too many appointments. It used to take only an hour to get all the way through, now it will take more than two hours.
You can tell Tasha really cares and has passion for what she's doing. She made the process of a first time donor so comfortable and fun. The staff are all very helpful and open to answering any questions you may have.
Management was interested in my complaint. And it was resolved quickly and professionally. Sometimes the staff can say things in passing that is unprofessional but not intentional but shouldn't be heard by the patients. We want patients to walk into the locations to employees with professional conversations and not break time. No one deserves to be judges and hearing judgement context can make others uncomfortable. My gender felt judged and my preference in the opposite sex seemed to be highlighted at my ap
Tasha was amazing! we need more people like her in the medical field! All the staff were excellent and always had a smile! As it was my first time I felt very welcomed and comfortable!
Kylie and the nurse Tasha were amazing. It was my first donation and I felt very comfortable and educated. Bring a blanket though it's cold in the donation center!
This will be the 2nd time I was not paid 24 hours after donating. They have the phones set up so you can't call to dispute anything you have to physically go up there. This last donation I had a reaction and they just had me sit in the chair for 20+ min and told me the nurse would be out.......she never came. They asked if I was good to go and it was obvious I wasn't gonna be offered water so I needed to leave ASAP to get myself some before my reaction got worse SMH and I'm still sitting here with no pay
First three times I went everything was perfect. On the last try I had the most botched poke ever. Missed the vein and went into my bicep. No blood went into the needle. They had to switch arms because of the horrendous poke. And my arm hurts like a B the day after... PROTECT YOUR VEINS. Good pokes or no pokes... Edit still hurts really bad 4 days later. Can't do any of my lifts rn ?? Update 12 days after the poke. Bruise looks veiny and gross
It was my first visit to BioLife. It was very busy but the two young women up front were doing a great job in keeping things moving. Once I finished with them I had to complete a medical questionnaire. Upon completion a nurse, Tasha, was waiting for me to complete my evaluation/physical. She was so nice, knowledgeable, and personable. I was a little nervous with this being my first time and she helped me feel relaxed. Unfortunately I wasn't able to donate due to a medical issue that had to be cleared
Tasha is incredibly calming and personable. She was so attentive with caring for me despite it being a busy day. It was my first time coming, and I will definitely be back!
The employees do not change their gloves between patients and they do not wipe down surfaces. When I asked the girl if she changed her gloves after the person before me, she stated, "we only change them if we get blood on them." That shoul not be happening, they are handling bodily fluids and touching everything, walking around the entire place, going patient to patient without changing gloves. I made on of them change her gloves and she didn't wash her hands. I left sick to my stomach. I did not donate b
They are rude as can be. They don't acknowledge you when walk in the door. They act like you are an inconvenience to them. As a first time donor to not be informed on how they do things is just crazy. They act like they hate their jobs and hate that you came in. I waited 10 minutes for somebody to even notice I was there and when I told them I was a new donor the guy rolled his eyes and pointed to some chairs and said sit there I'll be with you when I can . Yeah there are other places to donate plasma. That
Tasha was my intake nurse. She had a great bedside manner and very informative. Made my first experience a good one.
The wait time has gotten absolutely out of control. At this point it should be a walk in basis. It would seem they have unlimited slots available for each appointment time. The corporate team clearly has no respect for their staff with the amount of donors they have coming in every hour. Be prepared to be here for at least 2 hours.
It was my first time here and they were great efficient! Tasha was a great nurse and helped me to know what was going on! She was the best!! Also had a new phlebotomist that was amazing and walked me through everything!
Joslyn is fantastic. The whole crew is super friendly and professional. The whole process was pretty quick, easy, and painless. I'll definitely be back to donate again soon!
In order for you to improve, you can start by cleaning the sprayed blood droplets that are on the wall next to the last bed in the green section. How gross and unsanitary. Next, the staff could be more friendly and actually smile or speak to you rather than looking so miserable and treating you like a lab rat. Even the ?lead? staff told a person that ?she doesn't have time to deal with it today?. That's literally her job. Then, when donors call, no one ever answers or returns the voicemails left. Finally, y
Wait times have increased significantly. One day sat for 40 minutes on a bed before being poked. Another day was finished with my donation for 25 minutes before being disconnected. Seems to be less staff available to help the process on the donation floor.
My 4th donation was extremelt bad, One dude dont know his name ( tried to draw blood before causing hematoma) now again very bad insertion. It really hurt me badly. After 4 donation and each time taking 840 ml or more blood are you paying 45 dollar only? seriously
Tasha was amazing helping me through my first time here, this helped me feel more comfortable. Didn't know what to expect but it was better than I could have imagined.
This was my first visit so I had the physical and health review. The process took more time than I thought. However, everyone that helped me was very professional and personable. Starting with checking in all the way through the donation. I don't know everyones name but they were great. My phlebotomist Joslyn was awesome. Very thorough and explained evrry step and answered all of my questions. I'm sure everyone there is as good as Joslyn but I would love to have her every time.
Seems like a 50 50 if i donate on schedule or not. Walk in and see a long 2 to 3hr line isnt worth it. Cant do it on lunch break anymore. Allow less people for the times you have. This is crazy.
The service is amazing! It was my first time donating and they made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Tasha was great!
As a first time donor experience was great. The staff were professional and friendly, the donation process was very smooth and fast. Tasha did a great job assisting me through the whole process and A?lyce did great job with making my donation as painless and easy as possible which I greatly appreciate. Overall I'd recommend going to BioLife if you're wanting to donate plasma.
If I could leave 0 stars I would, don't ever go to this place, they require a doctor from Europe (takeda) to tell a grown ass 22 year old man whether it's safe or not for him to be there just because he's on a certain medication that he's been taking and managing well for over a decade, and they send plasma overseas, if you want your plasma to go to an American in need and not Europeans in countries that we shouldn't be involved in anyway, I recommend going to Grifols, avoid this place at all costs
Compared to Octapharma (center street) and CSL Plasma, quite a bit of red tape to even begin donating. Way more extensive than the other two options who actually give you a $100 on the first visit (Octapharma). With any question of recent hospitalizations, they make you jump through several hoops and gather numerous amounts of documents from your docotrs. No other plasma donation facility does this. When I asked them why they require more steps to begin the donation process, they rationalized it by claimi
Jaime is irreplaceable. She works so hard and does it fresh every time all the time. Also, Hanna does a superb job with a super and personable attitude every time.
The line for screening and then being seated for the draw can take an hour on its own. The draw is relatively quick (30-45 min). Be prepared to spend some time here.
I unfortunately got a hematoma while donating last time. Alyce came in and quickly helped making it a painless removal and hooked up my other arm. She was professional, kind and made me feel taken care of. Thank you Alyce!!
This was my first time donating at Omaha, NE center, I must say Tasha my nurse was so helpful and eased your nerves. She deserves the best from this company! All the staff was professional and this app is user friendly. Happy holidays!
Didn't even get to donate/sell my plasma as I got deferred for a high heart rate. I've seen a LOT of people state this as their reason for deferral. I have not EVER been deferred for this reason at the Red Cross whom I donated every other week to for the entirety of last year. The reason behind the elevated heart rate? Probably the fact that they have you stand against the wall in line instead of sitting while waiting to get your vitals checked. They have you sit, stand back up to weigh you, sit back down,
Amazing experience. Had Tasha assist me from beginning to end as this was my first donation. I felt extremely welcome and can't wait to continue donating here!
Tasha was so nice and thoughtful. She made the process much easier and less stressful after I left her office I felt less anxious
You need to fix your staffing or stop overbooking appointments. I waited nearly an hour sitting in the chair before the tech ever even came over. This is absolutely unacceptable. I got here at 11:20 and it's now *1:20.
While the donation process at this center is efficient and straightforward, I wanted to share feedback about the behavior of some staff members. During my visit, I noticed that certain employees seemed more focused on personal conversations and gossiping near donors rather than maintaining a professional atmosphere. Additionally, one individual?s hairstyle, specifically long braids, was occasionally distracting as they weren't mindful of how their movements affected those seated nearby. This could be uncom
They lure you in with a promotion. You doing x amount of donations by a certain date. The catch? You have to do blood work that takes 'up to' 14 days to get back. If it takes 14 days to get back you cannot get your donations needed within the time frame they give you. The higher payouts are with the final 2 donations. Those are the two you won't get due to the 14 days to get results. They said they are extremely short staffed so therefore it's taking the full 14 days and sometimes longer. And they don
Tasha was very informative and friendly! She made me feel comfortable during my physical!
Had a great conversation with the RN during my physical. So was so patient and calm. She talked me through the process and even checked up on me during my donation. I will definitely recommend going here and speaking with her. Great hire! Keep her around! I believe her name was Tesha or Kesha. She was in the 2nd nurse room.
Really great experience, all staff was very kind and accommodating. Tasha was the RN who completed my physical exam, great bedside manner and fully willing to answer all the questions i had :)
A Painful, large hematoma, occurred during donation due to incorrect needle placement. This is the second time this has happened however this time was much worse. A large swollen bubble appeared, blood started leaking and there was severe pain. An attendant removed the needle then inserted into my other arm ?to give me fluids. (3rd needle poke during this appointment)
I like this place. They have been friendly and understanding to my situation with promotion and try to help getting my last 2 payments. Really appreciate you guys!
Everybody is so nice and efficient! Jen does a great job with the pretesting and keeping everybody in good humor while they wait in line. I will say there was overbooking today and the wait was over an hour before I actually got to a bed. Fortunately, the staff is great, which makes the waiting more bearable. It makes it easier to wait when you see everybody is working hard to keep things moving.
Tasha & kyleigh were very helpful I felt so welcome! This place is awesome!
Most of the time donating here is fine, but the screening process takes anywhere from 20-40 minutes on a good day. Today, I waited almost an hour due to understaffing and/or over scheduling new donors who have to go through a more extensive screening. By the time I got to a chair, I had to leave because of work. 99.9% of the staff is awesome and does great work, but at some point someone has to make the screening/scheduling process move faster.
This place use to be a wonderful plasma donating center as it is very clean, the staff is friendly, and the scheduled appointments made the donations flow fairly easy. But the lack of training that some of the staff members have is absolutely ridiculous. On October 15, 2021 I had a staff member ignore the fact that I said my arm was uncomfortable and as a result I had a blown vein in my right arm which caused horrifying brusing covering parts of my biceps, elbow, and parts of my forearm. I attempted to give
The staff was nice until my physical before my first donation. Until I had to tell them about my tattoos. After that they treated me with much prejudice. No one of color would help me. My tattoo I speak about is covered by clothing. I have been there 3 times so far. In this day and age I am surprised a company would stay in business with ethics like this. I hope the next person they treat like this is as well behaved as I hVe been. Although I will go there one more time, so I may help one more person with m
I am only giving this 2 stars because the staff is amazing. My appointment was at 5:40 (checked in at 5:30) and there were 12 people in line to get checked in and their finger poked and then another 14 people standing in line to get to a bed. There were 3 people working the floor, one of them working two sections and it took over an hour to get to a bed, with an additional 30+ minutes to get hooked up. Normally I am in and out in an hour and a half, I was there for 2 and a half hours at least. Overbooked an
Last visit my vein bubbled with blood? bruised my arm so next and last visit where I would get 100$ ran into issue and had to use other arm? then somehow my protein was high when I only had chicken Caesar salad and a loaded baked potato at noon and tried to donate at 6 and they wouldn't extend my donation so I could get my 100$ largest donation amount? not sure I'll donate again
Amazing staff especially Tasha she took her time making sure I knew everything I needed too know
Been donating for about 6 months and I has always been quick and easy. I could plan things around donating when I knew I would be done. In the last 2months, the center has had an excess in bookings where there is always a line 5 or more people deep. The last time I donated, it was the last appt of the night at 7pm and I didn't get hooked up until 8:45pm because there were 15 people in line ahead of me. The technicians are doing the best they can to get everyone hooked up and done as quick as possible and th
Somewhat understaffed but very safe and reliable. Jackie and Tomi are the best!
The location was super welcoming. I was a bit nervous at first due to it being my first time ever to donate, but the staff were super gentle and warm hearted when checkin me in especially Madam Tasha.
Great experience in person . Still can use app and that means I can't make an appt and I don't drive right now so not worth taking a bus and hoping they let me .
You are required appointments but even with appointments it takes almost an hour to get started on a bed. It's impossible to get a same week appointment so good luck if you need to change or reschedule your appointment or get deferred. Most of the employees seem happy but some I've never even seen smile or talk. They never seem to have adequate staff which hints at high turn around which explains the poor time management. They don't have any system to who gets taken care of first the take downs or the new s
I guess they don't answer the phone, been calling for a week straight. Not being able to talk to an actual employee especially when having to make an appointment to come in is crazy work.
fast and efficient BUT now they require 20% more plasma and it takes longer to give hope to get paid more
The nurses here are complete trash. I got sick, and deferred for 10 days because I have to go on an antibiotic, when asking how this affects my new comer bonus (only 2 appts away from completing my first month), I was told ?WE DONT CONTROL YOUR BODY? -this place is a joke.
Tasha was such a great help. I was having a bad day and she made me feel more human.
I got there at 845am on there was already 20 people in line to donate and they only had 3 techs to 3 rooms i waited for over an hour just in line and then after I got to a bed it was 20 more minutes before they helped me i really disappointed that this is how they staff ..they should compensate us for waiting so long ?? ?? ??
If you're thinking about donating plasma this is the place to go! I cannot say enough about the staff. Everyone of them is always in a fantastic mood and that makes me so much more comfortable. You make an appointment to donate which helps minimize the wait. I was in and out of there in an hour flat on my second visit!
The staff made my vists easy. Joslyn and Skye are techs that made my 2nd donation welcoming and comfortable.
Tasha was the best! She immediately made me feel like family!
The staff is always friendly and helpful, and pleasant to interact with. Every time I come in for a donation I am always greeted cheerfully. It feels like the staff really cares, and wants me there. It's a wonderful feeling, and as long as I can I will continue to donate. Jamey is an absolute gem of an employee. Tell her I say thank you for all she does.
Gavin was so professional and helpful! The new machines failed to collect my blood and he and the rest of management ensured I got paid. Then upon my second donation that week, he made sure I'd get the second half of the 130$ promotion. Thank you!
tasha did an amazing job with the physical and walking me through what my plasma is doing to help and what i need to do before showing up
Took almost a year to even schedule a new donor appointment online. Then wasted an hour on 2 separate occasions, trying to become a new donor. Only to be permanently deferred because I have a sensitivity to smells. It doesn't happen often. My reactions vary from sneezing to a headache, all manageable reactions. Of all of the things to be permanently deferred, that is by far the dumbest excuse I've ever seen. I'd rate them a zero if it was possible.
Nice place to go to. Friendly staff. Feels good to help others out.
I've shared a 5 star review around a year ago. The place is very clean and friendly. The staff do a great job. I will update this with names of the staff to recognize.
First time donor. I came with my friend who ended up being deferred due to his veins. They wouldn't even try which I felt was not great service. I felt the beginning process took longer than the actual donation and was a lot. I understand it has to be with blood donation, but I felt that with the American Red Cross platelet and blood donations don't have as thorough of a health check. The technician, Joslyn, was amazing, definitely made the donation process easy. Definitely recommend her if you see she's w
First time and everyone was great. Tasha answered all my questions and made sure the process went smoothly!!
I was put me on a permanent deferral because I couldn't come up with an exact date a received a tatoo. Its over two years since I got it. When you have multiple tats it's hard to keep them all straight. The only reason I said anything was during the interview he asked if theses are all the tats you have and showed me a screen. I had just taken the 4 montgh time off for a tatoo on my arm. I stopped coming in for almost a year after I received the last one. But since I said Idk maybe 6 months after I go
Tasha was wonderful, she did a great job. All the other staff members were great, I would give it a 5 star but the wait was too long. Appointment was at 10:50am and two hours later I'm still here waiting . They definitely need more staff members
To much standing around by techs. Takes too long to get get going and to disconnect from machine at times. Some texhs at check in are nit real bright. 99% of techs are great. Just need to have mire sence of urgency.
I was very surprised that the Staff members were yelling back and forth at one another .... threatening each other to physically fight on the floor and outside.... Staff can be intimidating....
I'm an experienced donor at a different plasma center, but took a year off from donating. BioLife is a new center for me, and comparatively, this was such a better experience: cleaner, calmer, more organized, friendlier staff, etc. I'm very happy I chose BioLife.
They don't ever help people they are a terrible plasma place I was three over an they didnt let someone pass with one over even tho the other person ahead of him was five over an got thru
Clinic was quite, everything went smoothly and my donate was quick! Thank you
Their new machines make donation alot quicker & staff are all so kind! Ive donated other places. But Biolife is the best!would like to state again they have new machines within last month. Top of line machines!! Does speed up the actual donation process. Busy alot but they do best they can .
Its a nice experience and well organized. The inconsistent ability to schedule appts. Being a new donor I can only make appts almost a month out because no open slot are available. At least for new donors you should allow them to utilize their promotion payouts no matter what. Then after that they have to use the schedule slots.
It was my first time at this location and everyone was great. My nurse Tasha was awesome!
Out of 6 donation appointments, was able to donate twice. Pulse rate was allegedly too high three times and hematocrit was allegedly too low one time. BioLife is 22 miles round trip from my house so this ended up being a rather large waste of time and gasoline. Furthermore, the $400 in 4 donations was not honored. Do not bother with this place.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
