I've been here to donate a few times, and will probably stop coming soon because it's becoming a much bigger headache than it's worth. My main issue is that they don't seem to honor appointment times at all. The quickest I've been able to start the donation process is 65 minutes after my appointment time. The longest I've had to wait is about 2.5 hours. Clearly there is an issue with their scheduling process. Isn't the point of scheduling an appointment to come in at a time they are available and open to he
Be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes to be disconnected. And they don't check the order, so someone who finished 10 minutes after you might be disconnected first. And forget about them helping each other. A supervisor was talking with the person working in my section for 15 minutes. Did anyone help them while they were busy? No. And the supervisor looked completely oblivious and wasn't about to offer help himself after getting the section backed up. In fact the supervisors always have a casual nonchalant and u
Lest few times I've gone here it has taken me 2 or more hours to get through the vitals line and donate plasma. The staff takes their time. If you choose to go here make sure you have 3+ hours to spend here. The staff though nice all seems to be younger people and they seem more interested in joking and talking with each other than doing their jobs. I will be going to other locations from now on
Not a fan of this plasma center. I went in for my first appointment and they immediately turned me away. As soon as I walked up to the desk a girl came and asked me when the last time I ate a ?huge meal? was, and of course I said the night before my appointment because I don't eat very much food for breakfast and I ate a decent meal but it wasn't what I'd call a ?huge meal?. Anyway she said they wouldn't be able to see me that day because they need new patients to eat a ?really big meal? before coming in be
Employees are nice but I've been to all of the donation centers nearby and this was by far the slowest and most inconsistent experience. The way they divide the patients meant sometimes my brother and I would finish almost an hour apart despite going in at the same time.
Employees are friendly, which is their saving grace. However, they take their sweet time at this location. They are not efficient and are not good at making sure people can donate in the order they arrive. They seem to find it acceptable to seat you in a bed and wait for over half an hour to actually start the donation, after you waited for an hour to be seated. Countless people skipped me and didn't seem to acknowledge that I was waiting. As soon as my new donor promotion is over, I will not be returning t
I hate to leave this review but this location is absolutely absurd with its wait times. The only positive about this place is the few great and hardworking staff members. Most days I come in there is only 1-2 employees doing vitals so that starting wait time is inconsistent on a good day. The donation line/process is a whole monster on its own. if you manage to get out of the first line within an hour expect another 2 hours just to get in the chair and another 30 in the chair just waiting to get hooked up.
Not usually one to post reviews but I feel like I should get this out there. My first visit was alright, the employee working the front desk was very kind and helpful and struck up a conversation which put my nerves at ease. You can tell everyone after that is trying to work as efficiently as possible which means they might come across as quiet and robotic which is alright. My second visit is where most of my problems stem from. I arrived at 4:30~ after rescheduling, I had to try taking the questionnaire 3
This place is horrible... I used to donate at a different center and now I live in another city so I went to the closest one. First day, I had to leave because I spent an hour in the chair and nobody even bothered to hook up the machine next to me. They would always walk right past me. I'm here a day later now trying to donate. So far an hour in line and an hour in the chair with an appointment that I made two hours ago, and the machine is set up this time, but again, nobody around to even get the process s
The only reason I am giving this as many as 3 stars is because the staff have been very polite and are good at their jobs. If not for them this review would receive even less. I've come at all different times if day and it's always been equally busy. I stand in line for an average of 2 hours every time I come. I don't have 3 hours in the day to be doing this. I can be done in a little over an hour at other plasma centers. They pride themselves in paying more than other centers, but the extra 5 dollars is no
This place is the worst in having long lines. I can in at 11 am I was still in line at 12:30 pm they kept putting new people in front of us. We had over 8 people cut in front of us. That's messed up we are returning donors and get treated like crap
The center is literally not even finished. And you have to stand in line for an hour and a half in order to just get your vitals checked and then probably another half-hour line for a bed. Not to mention waiting to be hooked up and the donation. Just go to grifols, if nothing else they at least have chairs. The entire process of being a return donor takes an hour and a half total at grifols compared to 3+ hours here. I also had donated once at a different center 8 years ago and they made me pay for a new ca
Absolutely awful experience. It always takes at least 30 minutes to get started. This time I had to wait an hour after I was done for them to remove the tubes. They always miss my vein or the angle, and have to do it over. This is the second time IN A ROW they mess up and I have to wait 2 weeks to donate again. Honestly not worth it, just go to a different center like griffols this one will cost you more than you gain.
If you want to donate plasma I recommend going anywhere else. My first time going was bad with the girl almost not letting me give plasma because all I ate was a hotdog not 4 pounds of food before going I had to lie and say I ate two with chillie to not compromise my diet. Of course it did not affect the amount I gave. On my return visit I scheduled the donation at a good time for me. Excepting it to take a reasonable amount of time only to get in one line just to wait in a nother for two hours all togethe
I went to this place in February for the new donor bonus. It took 2.5 hrs for me to actually get a station. Then when I was at the station, at least 4 people after me got hooked up first and I waited at least another 20 minutes. It seemed like the techs were avoiding me because I was a new donor. When someone finally came to get me started, the higher tech(because she was the one telling ppl to go on break at the front), she checked my veins and said one of my arms wasn't good enough and they sent me home.
My donation just took almost 4 hrs. I don't think there's any reason for that aside from poor organization and poor planning as far as scheduling. My last visit took 3 hrs. While the workers hustle and they are kind, they need to be aware that when they have 3-4 empty beds in their section and they call over doners, they are allowing other sections to service doners quicker with only 1 open bed and you may be left to wait an additional hour while your section gets caught up! Don't call doners to your sectio
Been donating for 6 months it used to be quick. Lately I come and wait in line for 3 hours before getting sat in a bed. 03/02/2025 for example, the workers on this day took everything slowly and talked without working despite having a line of about 20 people 1 hour and 30 mins after they closed. I actively watched as 2 workers walked to the front and talked to each other to avoid work. typing this as I'm currently in line and have already been here for 2 hours. Still have several people in front of me. Edit
I always donate in American Fork, but this time I thought that since it was a new location, the facilities would be better. And they were?the facilities are new?but the staff lacks experience. They take too long to weigh you and collect the sample. On my left arm, they didn't insert the needle correctly, so no blood came out. Then, when they switched to my right arm, they told me I couldn't donate because they hadn't changed the equipment, and it already had blood in it, so they couldn't connect it. They
My appointment was at 6:00 pm. I wasn't in the chair connected to the machine until 8:10 pm. Left at 9:00 pm. They are short staffed or letting too many appointments in at a time. That needs to be regulated better. I don't want to go to work from 9-5 and then be waiting in line at BioLife for 3 hours
Tldr: clean, bright and flashy, but is slow/inefficient due to staffing/communication issues. Ymmv It's a nice, clean, big facility, but they don't have the staff to make it run efficiently, so donor wait times are pretty high. A lot of people come here and their appointments fill up very fast so you have to plan your donations typically a week in advance to have a shot at getting an appointment. Staff will try and push you out the door if you're even a few minutes late. Other centers in the area are a lot
I have been donating for years and have never been this disappointed with a plasma center. I have donated 3 times and each time experience incredible long wait times. On 4/16 I had an appointment at 10:50 but did not leave until 1:30 despite the donation itself only taking about 30 minutes. On my most recent visit, I was informed that a number of their blood samples went missing for unknown reasons and that I would not be able to donate for at least another week until they could retest a new blood sample.
The center is severely understaffed, but the slow pace of the employees makes the wait even worse. After standing in line for two hours, I was told to wait in another line for another two hours before I could even begin the donation process. The staff spends too much time chatting with each other and with donors, which unnecessarily slows things down. A more efficient and focused approach would make a huge difference in reducing wait times.
I scheduled an appointment for 4:40 right after I got off work. I came 5 minutes early and they wanted me to leave and go get something to eat. I totally understand but it was because they had a 3 hour wait. Even after I scheduled an appointment. So I kindly said thanks and left. It's just ridiculous to me that I would wait hours even scheduling an appointment.
I've donated twice now, and my experience has been great both times. My first appointment went well, with Marcus helping me at reception, Jaren and Maren helping me through my screening process, Matt conducting my physical and educating me on Sodium Citrate (because that was my question when he asked if I had any), and Bella conducting my first donation ever. My second appointment went even smoother, with Nick conducting my screening, Marian helping me when I was confused waiting in line, and Cassidy provi
I was at the Orem location for 2 hours and 40 minutes before I was able to get to a plasma station only to be told that I cannot donate because of the location of one of my tattoos. They looked at it and sent me packing. I have donated at two other Biolife centers with the same tattoo.
explain your payment process...as i signed online for app at you donor place. I seen a deposit for $40 and a second deposit that was supposed to also be deposited for $75.00 to = $115.00 ??? What kind of scam is this? also i was supposed to be getting $90 fr an add that i wanted for 8 donations for $725.00 - Your ADD you online info and what your app said; all "DO NOT MATCH". you should have a class action lawsuit for FRAUD. Lots of donors i am sure have been screwed out of a bonus or the deposits that you
Would that I could give 5 stars. I really do wish. However, this review has to be two stars for one simple reason: their tape. An odd thing to complain about for sure, but I have had several occasions where everything would be going smoothly until it comes time to tape down the needle. It's obvious that this stuff is dirt cheap because it hardly sticks to anything. It's seriously a hazard. I had to get readjusted about ten different times (no exaggeration) because the tape couldn't hold the needle where it
Waited over an hour, went through the beginning checkups, and got into a seat only for them to have trouble finding a vein and tell me I can't go forward. No offer of compensation for time. Every other plasma/bloodwork place I have been to has been able to find it so I know it is not likely the vein, just lack of training. It seems this location hired people with little to no experience as I saw other staff struggling to do other tasks while waiting. If you have new staff you should try to find the vein bef
Very unprofessional phlebotomists that are more concerned about flirting with other co-workers than doing their job well. Very common to wait in line for over an hour just to even start donating. Poorly run business.
I was super excited to donate and planned ahead by eating lots! I had a large yogurt bowl with berries bananas and granola, multiple cheese squares and a protein shake all within an hour of getting there. The girl at the front desk said that it wasn't enough and had a sassy tone, even with me apologizing. They turned me away without talk to the nurse. If they want people to eat lots of healthy before hand maybe they should give specific examples of what that means in their opinion. Let this be your sign to
The staff at the Orem location was nice, but the phlebotomists (2 of them) botched my IV twice after sticking both arms, and the machine kept stopping so the donation could not be completed, so I lost fluids that were not returned. Appointment took significantly longer than I was told to expect, and resulted in a large hematoma that (while painless) is still very apparent 7 days after the fact. If the phlebotomist is unsure whether they can find the vein, they should call in an advanced/elite tech to take
I donated plasma for the first time and it was such a positive experience! I forgot to eat closer to my appointment time and one of the check in employees was so kind and patient with me and got me scheduled a little late in the night so that I could go eat something and come back. The employees that did my physical and vitals were very personable and welcoming and made the process very comfortable and seamless. And the employee that put the needle in me for the donation got it the first time and was very e
Biolife is not a good company to work with. They have a very tempting first donar offer but it is not worth the hassle of working with them. And here's why; 1: They are constantly making you jump through hoops to get anything done: They will turn you away for the slightest reason, Making you miss an apointment. Because of this it is very likely you won't be able to receive the full new donar bonus even if you do everything right. 2: The staff seem friendly enough, but also seem overworked. 3: Biolife nev
Kept losing my blood sample so I was never able to donate and receive my newcomer bonus. So now instead of being able to receive ~$90 for my first 10 donations I will just received $40. That is if they manage to not lose my fourth blood draw this time.
I was at the Orem location for 2 hours and 40 minutes before I was able to get to a plasma station only to be told that I cannot donate because of the location of one of my tattoos. They looked at it and sent me packing. I have donated at two other Biolife centers with the same tattoo.
They are alright, BUT seriously considering going to a completely different center because I don't feel safe in this center because they don't change their gloves between donors or sanitize the screening station. After the tech finished screening the person before she didn't sanitize the table or change her glove after touching the persons hand when drawing blood from their finger. she used that same glove to handle my finger poke. Would give a 5 star because other than that never had issues. Safety and a
I do not like to be treated as if I have all the time in the world. I manage my time very carefully and the staff simply does not respect that.
Their customer service really sucks. They needed some paper work to verify with my doctor if I was healthy enough to donate. I gave them the fax number for his office in person 3 times and over the phone dozens of times leaving dozens more voicemails to get this all straightened out. It's been 3 months and my doctors office still hasn't gotten anything.
Holy crap, talk about incompetent individuals. They seriously don't even know what's going on, I am surprised that these people are actually allowed to stick you with a needle. I had a deferral about answering a question wrong. I went in and talked to the nurse for like 20 minutes. I finally got everything figured out and she said to come back in an hour and a half to donate. I left to go eat and came right back. I try to donate and then they literally had me try to login like 15 times. The lady at the fron
One of the best experiences in a clinic that I think I've ever had! I came as a first time plasma donor my first time, and even though I was new to it and had no prior history of donating plasma, the staff and nurses made sure that I was completely informed, walked me right through the process, and were all very thoughtful, helpful, all well trained and ensured that I felt the most comfortable I could possibly feel. One nurse in particular, Lyn from Boston, was very great! She checked on me a few times and
I had a hard time getting my a donation but a few nurses told me to come in and got it sorted out and right back into donating the same day. Great place. Quick donations. They keep giving me money. The nurses that were awesome and helped wereNatalie S. Matt M. And Brook M. Great people!
I have donated 5 times and have always been treated well. The staff is kind and helpful. Ben has been great with my tricky veins. As for wait times, they can be long. The donation center is right between two very large universities and therefore gets a lot of students donating. I recommend going earlier in the day for shorter lines. I have never seen any of the staff standing around not working, they are all very busy so I can't fault them on the wait times.
The staff was kind and professional, the process was smooth, and I felt well taken care of. Appreciate the clean and calm environment! Thank you!
If you want to wait this is the place for you. It's always overbooked and you wait a minimum of an hour after your scheduled appointment. I ve done 7 donations in a month and spent no less than 2.5 hrs everytime. Biolife needs to learn time management and getting their donors in the alotted time.
Though the wait was very long (I arrived at 8 and left at 11), the actual stick was professional, and there were no problems.
They're more in the business of turning people away than actually letting you donate. I followed all the instructions on the website and both times they found reasons to not let me donate. The reasoning they provided the second time was not any information they provided the first time. A big waste of time.
Had an appointment at 1:40 pm. Used the kiosk for about 5 minutes. Waited at the line as a return donor for about 1 1/2 hours then got sat down at the donor chair it's been about 40 minutes now since I've been sat down and am still waiting to donate. Almost every experience is like that, if you're looking to waste your whole day come here.
No place in any of their pamphlets is the age mention, other than 21.I went to Orem, and was denied for being 67.by Brooke St.George some supposed Dr. no Dr. in her name . went to my Doctor he approved me to donate plasma went back today they told me my appointment was at 2:00 pm this afternoon and that the Physican needed several hours to go over what my Dr. had sent to them.the 3 pages that Bio Life gave me to give to my Dr. was not in any way needing hours to go over. they are uneducated and slow 4 hours t
I donate at BioLife regularly and have had mostly positive experiences, but recently some really negative ones. The facility is nice and the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Prepare for a long wait time for every appointment, especially the first time which will likely take about three hours. They compensate decently, but I recently learned that they failed to correctly input my new donor special. Since I started donating in October, I should have received the promo for $800 in my first month as ad
They take extremely long here. The workers just talk & talk to each other instead of assisting the clients. They hangout more than they pay attention to what's going on. Extremely unprofessional behavior. Also they wouldn't give me any water after donating
I can't express how bad this place is. The only reason you should go here is if you want to just waste as much time as possible. Its actually ludicrous how slow and inefficient and silly BioLife has been. Props to whoever runs this place, they must be pranking us all
Their new donar bonus is pretty great, that's really the only good thing I have to say about donating here. HUGE disadvantage, they are slow as crap across the board. Mainly due to being understaffed it seems. They can't keep up with their appointments. They are often slow getting your initial check done, taking 5+ minutes sometimes for a simple vital and blood check, making that first line take forever. Even after the long check in process you're stuck waiting forever to get to a bed because they take so l
I was there from 2:20 to 5:30 this evening. The worker in my station was the slowest I've ever seeing ever. I waited 35 min for him to put me the needle? Never again in this center. The system has so many appointments and it's not working at all
It was my first time visiting they said my ID and social didn't match they should be specific on the website the last name need to match also they took forever to help me out at the front t desk ??
The lines are ridiculously long here. One time I showed up at my appointment on time and waited literally over 2 hours to finally be seated. The time after that, I was JUST ONE minute past my window to check in, and they sent me away and would not see me. I even asked the supervisor to give me a pass for the one minute since last time I waited over 2 hours. Both the employee and supervisor were short with me and said it's not possible, even though I've seen employees accept a ?late? appointment in the past
Most of the staff is so slow they walk around like turtles taking their sweet ass time I sat in a bed waiting to get unhooked for 30 minutes which is crazy. I won't be coming back to this location
Just went for a donation and it was a slow Sunday morning. I was two minutes late and they refused to take me even though there was nobody in the machines checking in and nobody getting their vitals checked. Also they took their time to help me, like 10 minutes cause they were chatting with each other. Of course not busy at all. Getting an appointment here for a time that works for you is nearly impossible unless you do it weeks in advance, they don't work with you and they don't want to help you so be prep
I've had the worst experience so far. The first day my donation took almost 4 hours. The second time I had to talk with the nurse twice because of my arm check. The first one authorized my donation, but the second one did not. My wife donated in 3 1/2 hours while I lost my time. My only good experience was last tuesday which was very efficient and comfortable. However, today I was 1 1/2 hours before they took me to donate at last. Too late for me. They didn't even let me do it later because they said that "
Some of these people are simply just ignorant when it comes to some of these reviews. You are rating the specific Orem business location. It's quite obvious in the promotions that the pay goes down after a month, please read the fine print. It's actually not this location's fault if you have to wait around, and don't assume the majority of workers are doing nothing when they aren't helping you. Some of them have different tasks that don't involve you? I have donated plasma here and the American Fork locatio
I waited 30 minutes for them to remove the needle! We have other jobs and responsibilities to fulfill BioLife!! Not like this!
I have had exceptional service at this Bio Life location. Everyone is so friendly. I was told beforehand that my 1st appt would take a few hours so I planned on it & that was not a problem. I can understand if a person wasn't expecting to be there for 3 hrs or more, that it would be frustrating, & their 1st experience would be negative. Instead of using that 1st experience to tell you never to go back, give them another chance. They really are nice people. Now, as a return donor I am there 1-1&1/2 hrs. The
Biolife orem: Just went for a donation and it was a slow Sunday morning. I was with someone that was two minutes late and they refused to take him even though there was nobody in the machines checking in and nobody getting their vitals checked. Not busy at all. I had my appointment scheduled for an hour after then that, and asked to go early and was also refused even though it was not busy. Getting an appointment here for a time that works for you is nearly impossible unless you do it weeks in advance, they
I'm here for my third donation. I prefer donating at the Red Cross because the experience there is better overall. I've been standing in line waiting to donate for almost 2 hours. (This is normal.) They say it will only take 70-90 minutes, but so far I've taken that time or longer in each appointment and none of them have even resulted in complete donations. (Last time, I was here 1.5 hr with no donation because of a phlebotomy error.) I saw a guy bring a foldable camping chair to sit in line and realized h
I've had to revise, because literally the same day or day after I wrote this, they had ridiculously long lines proving that they, too, have in fact adopted American Fork 's style of strictly-policed "by appointment" first come first serve long waits, with too many appointment slots. Which means I'll have to switch back to Talecris or Biomat sometime soon, which is extra sad because today's donation went great. Einsley was able to stick my problem arm that has the most scar tissue without pain or discomf
I come here because they pay well and it's a good side hustle for when you're in a pinch. Ive never visited other plasma clinics before, but this one seems to be pretty clean and well maintained. Also, props to the staff who checks vitals. I always feel like I'm in good hands when I'm with them. My only concern about this clinic is the level of professionalism that exists among the staff performing the donations. Every time I come here, it's like a party. The staff is constantly messing around, goofing off,
The staff are nice and friendly and the doc, I think his name was mat, was super cool.
Had a great first donation experience. The people were super nice and efficient and the girl who stuck my arm did a great job. I'd definitely recommend bringing a jacket it gets pretty chilly especially when you get the saline. Also bring something to squeeze while donating you have to pump your hand and having something to squeeze would make it way easier.
I had Plebotomist Chad help me today. He does an awesome job. It was also great to make almost $1000 for the first 8,9 donations. Only thing that would stop me from coming here is some of the nearby centers pay a little more then Orem Biolife. Not for the first 8 but overall it's a little from what I've compared
Today was my first time ever donating and I had a fantastic experience! I was super nervous but the staff were outstanding, like probably the best service I've ever received! Devon was especially great because needless make me nervous and he was chatting with me and making me laugh to make me feel more comfortable. Honestly everyone was so positive, helpful, answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable. As a first time donor, it did take a little over 3 hours from the start of the appointm
This place is very clean and professional! I just finished my first visit which takes longer than the normal one, but it was a great experience nonetheless! The music was good, the staff were friendly and patient, and the lines were short when I got there. They explained everything I was going through so I could understand what was going on! The manager, Laura, was great! Eisley was my helper and they were fantastic!
All of the employees here were courteous and respectful. On my second donation I got a blood bruise on my left arm and almost a month later still have pain in my RIGHT arm when lifting anything remotely heavy. I really hope it will eventually heal. I promise you, it's not worth it. Do something else for money. You sign a waiver so any long term nerve damage is ?on you.?
Marlee was a kind and skilled phlebotomist. Marcus was a knowledgable and fast receptionist.
Liz was the best! She was so friendly and professional. She has great energy and I was super impressed to hear shes only been working here since july!
Do not donate here. Have to schedule a day or more in advanced only to stand in line over 2 hours to begin donating.
It would have been very satisfied but the phlebotomist missed my vein and then I got a bruise and couldn't donate for a couple of weeks. I have a really good vein, and everyone comments on it, so I was surprised when that happened. The place is new and nice and the people are all nice, but sometimes there is human error, so I can't give a "very satisfied", because it affected me this time. Next time I could probably say very satisfied. Thanks.
I was in line for over 2 hours, they need to fix the system they have to get people in quicker
Everyone is so nice! Maddie was so welcoming, Arrey was charming and funny helping me laugh and relieving my nerves, Abby was informative, friendly and professional, and Mary was a joy! I honestly didn't even feel the needle! Chad also helped with the machine. So grateful for kind people to help make me comfortable and at ease. Came back for my second donation today, Scotland was so nice and fun to talk to. And Patty was so kind, got Mary back for me, and again, no pain with anything! Such a great team!! T
I've always loved going to BioLife and had a great experience doing it in St. George, but this BioLife is just too busy. Workers are kind and helpful, I just think they need to limit their schedule a little better. It's a great way to make extra money but when the wait is too long it's just not worth it anymore :/
I've realized that no plasma donation center is perfect; each has its ups and downs. In high-traffic environments requiring meticulous care, anxiety can amplify tenfold. Mistakes will happen, donations might be unsuccessful, and you may encounter both inexperienced and experienced techs. Achieving 100% perfection is challenging. What's crucial is that everyone tries their best to get you in and out as quickly as possible. While some staff work with urgency, others take a more measured approach. Remember, u
Show up at 7AM on a Sunday after driving an hour. 35 mins of redundant check ins just to be told my iron is too high and I need to come back. Waited 2 weeks for this appt. Show up with everything and they can't accommodate a reschedule without waiting another 2 weeks. What a royal waste of my time and shit customer service. Back to the bottom of the schedule heap. Very disappointing.
The staff is AMAZING and very KIND. However, they get packed! Plan to spend 4 hours if it's your first donation and 2-3 for regular donations. That being said, this means that you have to eat right before your appointment
Love the staff easy-going they make you feel very welcome and safe. The process is fast.
Although very busy, everyone was working hard and efficiently to get everyone taken care of. I was helped by Bella, Marcus and Mercedes and they were awesome!!
I hadn't been to their new location but I had been to their old one and it was fine. I scheduled a physical and donation, waited like 15 minutes and hardly moved in line. Then I looked over and saw someone had brought a camp chair to wait in line for the routine testing. Nope. If they are regularly that slow that people know to bring camp chairs to wait in line, I'm out. Went to ABO down the street.
Jaren and Maren were so kind and helpful. Thank you for your service, it makes one feel so good being in your store.
The phlebotomists at this location are inexperienced. I can't recommend them when Grifols is across the street and ABO is less than a mile away. They ran a promotion convinced me to switch from a different company and try out BioLife for a month. 1) Their machines claim to be faster and they don't draw as much plasma from you as the other locations do, but this is offset by some truly horrendous wait times. Even with an appointment you'll regularly go 30-45 minutes from finishing the questionnaire to gett
The people here are always friendly and responsive. They keep the place clean, and if you have any questions or concerns they make sure to answer in a way that you can understand. A few times I've had reactions while donating, and someone is always around to help you out. They always make sure you're good, and I've had good conversations with people here.
I had a terrible experience at this plasma center. Every time I've been there, something has gone wrong: - A new staff member removed the needle carelessly, causing blood to spill on my shirt. They didn't apologize or offer any compensation for the damage. - I requested to use my left hand with a machine on my left, but the staff member made a big fuss about it, despite available seating in other color stations. They also told me that next time I would have to wait in line and that my request was not allow
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
