Biolife oshlkosh is the is the best biolife in the state, fast and friendly, clean. And the staff is so friendly. I have had Jamie as my phlebotomist many times. She is also a supervisor. She leads by example and so nice to me and other guests. And to her co workers. I often see the site manager Jeanette and her management staff helping out. They also are nice to staff and guests. 10 out of 10!
I don't care for it any longer I get less $$$ & have to give more. Not so much the $$$ but I don't have the time to spend a 1 hour 20 minutes to a hour&30 minutes sitting in the chair after work & not give a full donation & get disconnected early because I'm a slow giver. I could have been there for a hour& minutes for a complete donation. Used to make extra$$$ now take more& get less doesn't seem right to me. Im. A bigger person i give more than smaller people. When they are there for 20-40 minute
The staff do a great job, but the amount of plasma I have to donate increased. Not sure if the compensation will. It if doesn't I may not continue to donate. It just seems like Biolife corporate wants more, but pays less. At least that's what it seems like to me. But again the staff at Oshkosh do a great job.
Everyone was very nice and respectful. Haley checked if the needle was good after having to pull it out a little. Never have any issues with the employees!
It's always a pleasure and pleasant experience at BioLife in Oshkosh... I always feel welcomed and informed when I'm there.... Thank You For The Great Job By Staff....
The Good Part: I have been donating in this center for past one year, everything so far worked fantastic. professional, kind and caring personnel. Area of Improvement: I understand they need to train new personnel, but that should not come at the cost of comfort, health or even death of the donors. Past two-three donations, I had new personnel taking my blood with the help of a supervisor, which is fine, but the last here is the story: 1. She poked the needle and I even told the supervisor, I feel like t
Turned away despite following the instructions of the rep I spoke with on the phone (told to eat a high protein meal the night before, not an hour before). The lady at the desk just seemed like she didn't want to do her job.
I feel bad giving this place a bad review because staff was great; my issue is not at ALL with this center or the staff. My issue is with Biolife and I wanted to share my experience so you don't waste your time. First time I went, my pulse was too high so I got sent home; no big deal, this happens sometimes and it's not their fault. Second time, vitals are perfect, all my stuff is good, so I go back for the physical exam. They deferred me because I have POTS and am on fludrocortisone. Now it is not at ALL t
I have donated at this center for over a year. I've had only one issue. With one employee. I was told by management I'm allowed to tell this employee to get a different member of staff to aid me when required. On December 22nd eduardo did not listen when i said please stop touching me. I filed a report and now due to this they tell me "I'm permanently defered" because of the "accusation you made, we can't have those" this comes from the mouth of Jeanette, the "manager" of this location. Do not go here if yo
The staff here is amazingly kind. Until my most recent Scheduled donation at which I was not allowed to donate because someone pressed a wrong button... They wanted to take my blood for free with no compensation! And they attempted to do this twice without my knowledge I had to ask and then make them stop.
SOME of the workers know what they are doing. They started to take more plasma but didn't give us a pay difference for what they are taking. Donated yesterday and still haven't received my pay. Very disappointed and will not be doing this again.
Absolutely fantastic, I loved all of the phlebotomists, took fantastic care of me. Friendly as can be. The ONLY fault this place has is the lack of fun band aids. I am talking about lightning McQueen, Toy Story, SpongeBob, and frozen!! We need some fun band aids. After a long day of work there is nothing that would comfort me more than getting poked and being offered a band aid with a Disney princess on it. Please take this consideration under advisement. Thank you
They always make sure that you are comfortable. Great place and good people.
Everyone was very friendly and did their jobs exceptionally well. But my temperature was 95 and made me wait almost 10 minutes. I believe machine was malfunctioning
These great people are the best! I've been coming here since December 2022. I hate needles and the people here were great about doing their job. My fears were calmed. It saddens me to be moving away from here, as I will miss the way everyone has treated me here, at Oshkosh Biolife. . Thank you all, from Brian G.
Very surprised but happy on how professional people are but as may donors are regulars, staff is very friendly and make people feel welcome
It appears to me that a recent height check at sign in may have caused an increase of plasma collected of approximately 20%, while the amount that I was compensated continues to slide downward. Maybe BioLife could provide an explanation for the changes.
Wren did a fantastic stick! Hit a vein no one else has that ran fast. Kudos ??
The staff team members are always kind and always very informative for any questions you may have. Staff team members always try to make you feel comfortable. Even on their most busiest days they still take the time to always ask you how are you doing that day and the initiative to making you feel comfortable during this process. I've never had a problem with anything or anyone at the bioplasma in Oshkosh. Thank you staff members you are all doing a fantastic job.
Went in staff was great at counter. Then went back for screaning. Told me I couldn't donat because I have ptsd . We have to get your doctors clearance. I don't receive treatment for it it should matter not blood related. We have to ask our staff member if they can clear you. And that person is gone today. But you can come back another day. I'm not going to make the extra effort. I already wasted gas time getting here. What a joke post all questions on website. Then it's clear . Then asked them to remove
Everyone was so much fun and so kind! I loved Beth and Jesi! Two amazing people! They made me feel relaxed and they took good care of me!
It's fine; staff are friendly and you're in and out relatively quick. App doesn't work and no one can tell you why other than "have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?" so it's super frustrating trying to book an appointment.
Everyone at Biolife is great! Professional, knowledgeable and provides a relaxing experience.
Slow process is back again. New machines, larger bag, and taking more plasma increased the overall time by almost 20 minutes.
Beth is the BEST technician and always gives the best finger pokes! She's great at keeping me calm (i get anxious with the finger poke so my heart rate spikes) and is one of the kindest & post personable people i?ve ever met! She deserves the highest pay possible!!
Set a physical for noon. 12:35pm the nurse comes out (all the nurse chairs are full) and asks "whos NOT here for a physical?" Then takes a person back. What is the point of me setting an appointment for 12:00pm if you are going to honor that time? But if I was late, I wouldnt be able to donate. Physical and donation took about 2 hours and 20 minutes. Donation took about 40 minutes. Definitely allow a lot of time for physicals
Beth brightens my day whenever I hit the door. No matter what mood I'm in, miss lady knows how to put a smile on face. How could I not forget Pa miss Supervisor, which I knew she would have that position one due to great work and caring/ loving for others but especially myself lol. I can't forget about Mr jokester Dre, whose cool beans. Me love coming to the Oshkosh center
Everyone is great at the Oshkosh center. It is nice to hear yourself being addressed by name and asked about things in your life that has been going on. Happy Retirement to Connie too today (7/31/24)!!!
People are so nice. New machines are wonderful (donation only took 31 minutes). However, I had a bruise on my arm and had to see the nurse. It took 45 minutes to answer questions, get blood draw, blood pressure etc and see the nurse. It was a bit frustrating.
I came in to donate and spoke with a younger lady (Rebecca) I have a WA license, an out of county physical address, and just moved to Oshkosh. I get that there are only certain zip codes they'll ?deal with? but, she proceeded to take my fingerprints and all of my personal information **whilst** knowing they were going to decline me anyway. I felt like a fool, why not state this before? (She made no calls and had no contact with anyone while I was wasting valuable time and giving away all of my personal
The staff is absolutely amazing here! One woman in peticular really stands out her name is Beth. Reason she stands out is she always greets you with a smile has has wonderful energy.
I have been coming here for over 5 years and it is a great way to make extra money and do some good. The staff in the mornings, especially Beth, Barb and Dre are always in a great mood and brighten my day.
Very friendly staff. They had me laughing a lot and felt very comfortable being here. Very reassuring and caring about there work. Special thanks to Dre, Beth and Connie.
I tried three times to get signed up and make my first donation only to be sent away for my breakfast selection (twice) and the fact that I'm "not" confused about my gender. I might consider another location, but this behavior seems to be ingrained into the business culture of BioLife. Very disappointing. Usually, medical facilities are managed professionally. I do not recommend.
The morning staff is always great, Beth and Lisa especially know how to always put a smile on my face!
I haven't donated in 20+ years. I went and made an appointment to donate on memorial day 2024. I checked in and was told that I had a deferral from last time I donated. Having forgot about that, I was told by the nurse that, they needed to get my records from back then to see why there was a deferral. I remembered that it was because I had lost too much weight in a certain amount of time. If my memory services, it was 10lbs in a 20 day span. Ok no worries. She explained that since it was that long ago my re
Friendly staff is always making sure doners are comfortable.
They now take more plasma and pay you the same amount of money so crazy
I've been to two other Biolife places and this one is by far the best. The staff is super friendly and never had any issues. Love how they are right there to greet you especially Connie. She always has a smile and very helpful! I'd recommend this place for anyone who wants to donate!
Coming to this facility is always a good time. Smiling faces and great conversations. Wren has been a great piece of this puzzle. Giving me ideas to do with my kids such as airsoft. . I thank you guys for everything
The staff is amazing! Connie greets me at the door every time which makes guests feel welcome. All the phlebotomists are great to talk to and are very well trained at what they do. The finger pokey people are also very great to talk to and are very efficient at getting people checked in like protein levels and htc? Or such I don't know how to spell the word I'm trying to figure out ??.
Great place n people,HOWEVER MY HIPPA RIGHTS WERE VIOLATED! NO PRIVACY! NOT ONLY DID THEY OBTAIN MEDUICAL RECORDS ILLEGALLY, THEY THEN USED INFORMATION AGAINST ME TO BAN ME! ALWAYS IN A VIG HURRY TO DEFER SOMEONE! IVE BEEN DONATUNG FOR 30 YEARS ANS HAVE BEEN VIOLATED!
Best donation location I been to employee are the best energetic positive and kind . Feels like another home
My experience the last 5 weeks has been great! All of the staff are super nice and friendly! I'm in and out in under an hour everytime!
Everytime I am called to Beth's booth, I get a smile. She is so pleasant, and I enjoy the short couple minutes I am there. She really does make my day better!!! Thanks Beth!!
Amanda is a very good abotomist! The new machines are great and I'm out a lot sooner than before!
I started donating about 2 months ago when they had major first timer bonuses. I booked my physical appointment through the app and started donating consistently since then. I recommend you go in the app to check when they are busy. So long as you use the app to make your appointments and show up on time I can breeze right through most days in 1.5-2 hours total time. I keep expecting to stop going for a while but I keep going back with all the coupons they send out. This has been a huge win win to make mone
Friendly and attentive technicians make the donation a pleasure at Oshkosh Biolife.
Tedi is awesome! She is kind, pleasant to work with and puts her donors at ease. She is also very gentle. We have a great crew at this center!
Used to go pretty frequently but I've had a string of bad donations that's left a bit of a sour taste. The staff are great to chat with but my last 3 donations had complications or gave me problems. 1st one was brusing which is OK but still bothersome. 2nd one I got a hematoma and had to switch arms which ended up bruising. 3rd donation I got bruising that lasted like 2 weeks. This only started happening since they switched from iodine to alcohol when cleaning the donation site. Maybe it's related? Either w
Aaron provided excellent and efficient service. When placing the needle, I did not even feel the stick. Give that guy a raise!
I'm an anxious person by nature, yet I've still had primarily positive experiences here. The building is very clean and well maintained, the staff is friendly and competent, and the compensation is fair (and even better when they run promotions). Certain times are busier than others, but if you time your appointments correctly you can pretty much breeze right through. Parking can sometimes be a problem as well if you go during a rush. Just make sure you're hydrated and have a relatively balanced diet and yo
Everyone is always so nice but wish the manual process was quicker. I wait to get checked in then wait to have the print something for me to sign. By the time that is done 2-4 people after me have been thru.
Every time I come to this center have issues. For some reason I feel every time I'm here I always get a new employee that bruises me or can't find my vein. Not only that but my machine malfunctions at the end of my donation and didn't return my blood so I'm sitting here for an extra 40 minutes. Just having a run of poor experiences here. I hope they get it together.
All of the staff were very helpful and friendly! I had not been there in a few months and everyone treated me with kindness and respect!
The staff is really friendly and you don't have to wait long at all. The promotions are great and put some extra cash in your pocket.
People that have done negative reviews...RELAX! If you can't donate it is in your best interest!! They have protocol they have to follow to keep doners safe. I really like this place. Sure there have been some donations better than others yet surprise..this happens in life! Look at the positive not the negative. Everyone has been polite and professional to me except one person. Out of almost a year of donating twice a week I think that is pretty damn good. Kudos to all of you at Biolife!
Many reasons: The staff is always friendly and caring. They are very skilled - very few sticks that caused any sort of issues.
I love this place. All the staff is super nice and helpful. They make it enjoyable to spend the two hours a week with a needle in my arm. I would recommend it to anyone who can spare the time. Some of my favorites are Hailey, Kenzie, Connie, Kendrick, both Christie?s, Jeanette, Angela, Ashley, Danielle and a bunch more I forgot. Try it out.
I live almost an hour away and have come here twice this week. The first time, my iron was low by one point so they wouldn't let me donate-not their fault. However, I'm back today while they are extremely overbooked and behind?she has me leave for 20 minutes and come back and everything would have been in order (including my iron levels since I've been taking the supplements)?.the woman asked me if I ate anything this morning (I've never been asked this before & she didn't ask anyone else. I mean no one. i
Today my apt was at 5:00 pm. I arrived 5 minutes early. When I got to my section, there was one waiting to be connected and one waiting to be disconnected. I didn't get to even start my donation until 5:40pm. The wait is extreme, it just isn't worth coming anymore. On top of that, I received two coupons. One was a regular coupon, the other was for my birthday month. I was advised that due to the current program, I could only use one coupon. If their marketing team sent two out, they should have to honor t
Once you're done with your donation they take forever to unhook you.
Staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. They make the process easy. New machines are great too. Super fast!
Much respect and praise to the entire staff. With the large volume of donors coming in and going out, the staff stays upbeat, positive, cool and collected. After years of donations, I have never seen a showing of rudeness or disrespect from anyone. As far as performance, there is no staff member you dread when entering a section. Everyone from the processing table to the main floor to the back room belong and are great at what they do.
Amazing place! Well trained staff, ALWAYS courteous and friendly. Most places customer service is provided at a bare minimum, but Oshkosh Biolife Techs go the extra mile in every aspect of their craft. They constantly work on building a relationship and listening to their donors every step of the way, truly providing a tailored experience to each individual. Would highly recommend!
Had an appointment this morning 12/4/21 for yearly physical and donation. Arrived 5 minutes early only to be told that systems were down. They had no information of when they would be back up and that it would be approximately a 20 minute wait after the systems were functioning to get my appointment under way. I understand that things happen but when I explained to them that my appointment was the only free time I had to donate this weekend and asked for some sort of coupon to compensate for my time an
Beth at the front is amazing, she always brightness my day when feeling blue. Biolife in oshkosh is very well run and organized. I've gone to other biolifes in the fox valley and i don't like how they run.
I've never donated plasma before and decided I could use a little extra cash this month. I made an account online and made a new donor physical and donation appointment. I arrived ten minutes early for my appointment. I was told to sit in the front until they can help me. They made me sit there for about 30 minutes before someone at the front desk would help me, all the while people are coming in and getting helped at the front desk. In the meantime I hear someone else announce that they will no longer be d
New system is not equitable unless more $$ is given for more product.
The staff is always very professional and up beat think they are all great do have my favorite tho they know who they are . Thanks folks always a pleasure
Most staff is great but I had a terrible intake experience with TJ. On his first attempt to take a sample he did it incorrectly and this took a long time. I asked twice for him to try a different finger and he refused. The collection tube ended up breaking and so he needed a different finger- this one bled immediately and yet he still took a long time and a lot of blood to collect the sample. Also, general note, some of the staff walks around talking about how badly they want to go home, how tired they are
I got taken care of by Beth and Angel today. Both are very good at their jobs and made my experience enjoyable!
Awesome service! Professional, polite and compassionate. They never miss a day to ask how mine is. Special 10-star review to Haley, she maintains award-worthy candor and is always a pleasure to speak with.
Wonderful staff! I enjoy coming twice a week to see them. I always feel welcomed and ?at home?!
I had my physical/donation today. Got my finger poked, filled out the questionnaire. I was there for over an hour to find out that I can't ever donate due to a medical condition. Something should be put on your website in big bold letters YOU CANNOT DONATE IF YOU HAVE HAD THE FOLLOWING:! You wasted your staffs time and also MINE! From what I'm reading your staff could have answered the phones instead of tending to me. Also I tried to because the Contact US button on your website to send a private email and
The amount of times the staff has botched the needle and given me hematomas is a bit of a bummer. Had 3 donations straight with failed pokes so I gave it up. My wife goes back for the first time in a while and they screw up her and the person before her.
Everyone is always professional. I never have a bad experience walking through the doors with any of the employees.
Had a low pulse on their machine (44) nurse took it on my wrist for 15 seconds (48) was unwilling to take it again even though my pulse was up 4 in the minute since first being taken. Also was unwilling to do a more accurate 60 second count. Screwed me out of 80 dollars.
I've been donating for about 6 weeks and have had two instance where I had to wait a long time. Today my appointment was for 11:50 and at 12:35 I was still waiting in line and there were 2 people ahead of me still. I had another appointment and so I could not stay. The way their reimbursement schedule works, this cost me my weekly bonus that I worked weeks to achieve. Now if I donate this week I'll get a $20 reimbursement and that's it. I probably will find a different option going forward as the staff did
Scheduled a physical with donation. Connie, at the counter, asked what I'd eaten recently. At 8pm I had spaghetti and banana smoothie, at midnight I had 2 Hardee's big roast beefs, I slept until 10. I ate 2 bananas, bunch of cherries, an apple, and 2 liters of water. She told me that's not enough, moved my appt back and sent me to kwik trip to eat a 'healthy snack' I laughed. I told her I am still full from my odd schedule last night. Didn't matter. I went and ate, jumped through their hoops and donated. On
Went here today as a new person and all was fine and dandy until I had my temperature taken and was " deferred" for having a high temperature. After walking out I thought well if my temperature was high when you took my temperature at the door you should have turned me away instead of wasting time. That's not the problem. The problem is when I went back in to inquire about this the first thing the lady said was, " why is she still here? Did you tell her that she was deferred?" speaking to the young man who
Beth is so wonderful to come into. Always has a smile on her face and makes me feel comfortable.
A little over a year ago I started going here and left a 5 star review. I've come here to change it for I wont return until things change or just ever again. Appointments are for a reason and ever since covid struck they don't mean anything. Overbooking has caused the experience to become very time taxing. Waiting some times over 30 minutes just to get through the beginning check up then another 30 to be seated then waiting to get hooked up or unhooked for 10 minutes plus because of constant flow of people.
I've been coming to Oshkosh BioLife for over 10 years. The staff is great. They're very friendly and professional.
After them taking 3 weeks to transfer my account and jumping through all kinds of hoops, they made me sit for an hour waiting for a nurse to tell me that I cannot donate, even with my physician okaying it. Wasted a lot of time for nothing. They are also VERY rude, and do not know customer service skills, and ultimately there to make a profit. Would NEVER recommend anyone go here.
Love this location!!!!! Lisa, Beth and Dre are some of the most kindest employees/people I have ever met!!! So patient ??????????
BioLife is a brilliant company! I have been a donor since 2001 and the progression they have made is light years beyond any other business. Over the last 20 years pretty much all businesses are exactly the same as they were. But with BioLife good is never good enough. Here, Continuous Improvement is actually a living breathing thing. It is TRUE that when you have a bad experience here it is terrible. But that is because BioLife is unlike any other business you will visit. Typically a bad experience here me
Been donating for approximately 20 years and I keep coming back. Staff has always been great & the facility is always neat and clean. Great way to help those in need & earn some extra $!
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
