I had a very pleasant experience at BioLife Plasma. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and attentive throughout my visit. From check-in to donation, everyone made me feel comfortable and informed. They were patient in answering questions and made sure the process was smooth and stress-free. The facility itself was impressive?very clean, well-organized, and modern. Everything felt hygienic and efficient, which added to my peace of mind. Stations were clearly marked, the waiting areas were
I believe earlier this week was the fifth time I visited the Pearland location in a year. In fact that's the only location I've visited. Until the last visit this week, they all have been OK with the exception that it takes them an inordinate amount of time to process through the ritual you have to go through each time. This time, as I was given my donation, the needle stick was relatively painful. I don't want to say that the tech was insensitive. It's just that she couldn't get it right and she must hav
Been coming to BioLife Pearland for a few months now. Donating plasma not only helps those who need plasma but also a great way to have funds for a rainy day! I have to mention Alexandra. She's always so helpful and friendly when I come in! The floor staff too. Very clean and organized facility as well
Whereas the doctors and care physicians were sweet, understanding and everything. It feels very bitter that I wasted 2 hours for a first time donor only to be deferred after they attempted to take my blood/plasma. If they were struggling to do so I wish they suggested I reschedule the fact that im out 650 from more visits because of "to much bloodloss" is really upsetting that I cant be comped from my remaining sessions after 8 weeks that I now have to wait, after that coupon expires.
The phone service is terrible, it has been at least a month where I have to drive back and forth from my house to the plasma center to get answer regarding my status to donate plasma and it will always lead me on voicemail. And even then when i leave a voicemail It would be weeks till i get a call back and if i do I have to be available on stand-by to pick-up the call otherwise i have to drive down to the plasma center to talk to the nurse or whichever staff on duty. I have worked at a pharmacy for many yea
Was told to come back which is fine. I ended up getting super busy with work and couldn't make it in. They gave me a call today to ask if I was going to come back to donate. when I told them probably not my schedule is too busy, She made a sound like she was irritated and hung up in my face.
I've already tried writing this review and it malfunctioned and erased it so I will most definitely be getting straight to the point. This location is the best but somehow isn't as good as they should be considering the area they're in and what services they have to provide. Anyways, I had an appointment for about 1:05 for a donation and the girl (very short a petite African American girl, ALWAYS very loud and rude) that called me to do my vitals and bloodwork had done them before and I remembered how long
For being a first timer to donate it was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and informative. They walked me through the process and didn't get upset when I had questions.
The staff here are very nice and do their best to make u comfortable. They are good conversationalist and can talk u out of boredom ,they also can tell if you are not in a talking mood I love come here. They are a big reason that giving plasma is such an easy way to change lives and make money. I have been giving plasma for more then 6 months today and I have been stuck with a needle by ever certified staff that works here and always been comfortable even if it was there first time. I 100 precent recommend
I didn't not have a great experience here. I waited in line over 2hr and after donating I got banned for life because use the restroom. I told the nurse several times I was about to pee on myself and she was very disrespectful and doesn't know to talk to people. I've donate there over 5yr. I donate because my uncle is on dialysis. Some workers need to approve there attitude there getting paid by the hr. Nurse had no consequences for HER actions!!!!!!
I've been a regular donor, but my recent visit to the BioLife Plasma Center in Pearland was extremely disappointing. After waiting an unusually long time to be screened, I simply asked why my height needed to be rechecked?a reasonable question. The screener gave no explanation, and shortly after I was told by a floor supervisor, Cameron Woods, that I was being deferred for being ?non-compliant? just for asking that question. It felt unprofessional and completely unnecessary. On top of that, this location is
First time donor and honestly it was really nice, everyone was very sweet and respectful. They explained the whole process nicely, answered all my questions, and even gave me some advices for future visits. I look forward to going again!!
Every time I walk through the door I'm greeted with a smile, the screaming process you can tell everyone really cares, very informative..The staff really care about helping each other, which in turns dominos to the donor's, great clinic, always professional and very clean..They always ask how are you doing while donating, smiling, and definitely how your feeling when finished..Even when your leaving the screeners always say take care see you again BEAUTIFUL ?? ?? .
Now let me say this I was very intimidated first walking in due to new process not knowing this not knowing that .... the people there are great from the check in where they prick your finger, get your weight, check all your pressures great people very warm and nice.. I have few favorites but don't want to mess there names up ,all are great tho..next step needle when u get to the donation chair the other lady's will walk u though what they're doing and etc... I went in to help people in the since of plasma
Me and my friend went to do donate plasma, I was turned down by a very rude nurse because of my PTSD, but ny friends experience makes me not want to ever try again. Not only did they wiggle the needle around in his veins but they spilled blood all over him and the chair, after a few minutes he was told he had a hematoma was it was suggested that he stop. He was still compensated but the fund haven't been released in over two weeks now. Trying to call the center itself is like trying to pull teeth, I tried
They have the nicest staff, and the most efficient process that I've seen in a long time.
I am glad to know that by my participation in donating allow doctors to find cures run tests & overall just able to have the plasma need to save the less fortunate people that are diagnosed with real life health problem beyond thier control , & to get properly diagnosed & to know by having the ability to use donated plasma to help cure someone is gratifying, and not to mention payment is another plus , although the fluxing payment is constantly changing week to week which I don't understand but nevertheless
I've been coming to BioLife for over a year and my experience has been great other than today. My appointment was at 2:20 and I'm still standing in line with only 3 ladies working. This is horrible. I had to get out of line due to other commitments. A complete wasted day.
Very clean, professional staff, recently they adopted a new policy in which they collect 1000mg of plasma rather the typical 800mg as they did previously for larger individuals. All donors already received the same donation. This now means that I'm almost donating twice as much as an individual only giving 600mg, spending an extra 30-45 min completing the cycle only to receive the same amount as someone in and out with much less of a donation. Its time they pay by the donation amount like other centers.
I am writing for a complaint on the Pearland location. I went on August 18th2024 I was ready to start my donation by 245pm. I was in blue the tech was a heavyset black young lady. She introduced the niddle at first everything was ok after 4 minutes my arm started to feel different and I notice the needle was too deep. Another female tech notice the no flow and I ask to be fixed a male tech came and he fixed the needle. When the donation was done I notice a sore pain in by arm but I thought it was normal. T
Very friendly staff. Ashley was very nice and reassuring through out the process. She had to attend to another person and then Eternity helped me out. She was just as helpful. The environment is very welcoming. Overall great experience, will definitely come back
I don't understand how this location is fine operating with such volume, and so little staff. That in itself guarantees the employees won't be able to fulfill their duties with the care necessary for happy donors. I have experienced what happens when all your employees are stressed and seem sleep deprived, as when i asked for a standard readjustment on the stick the staff member was noticeably fidgety and aggressive when doing so. This resulted in the needle coming out because they did not reinforce the tap
Everyone working here are always friendly and professional. They make you feel comfortable. Mayra, particularly, makes time to answer any questions and concerns. She is kind and knowledgeable. I appreciate the atmosphere at this location. I recommend that anyone who wants to donate, go here.
Pearland Biolife is a safe, professional yet fun place. Everyone is very serious about following all guidelines and procedures as well willing to offer explanation for any question you may have. Additionally if the tech doesn't know the answer they all go the extra mile to provide an accurately informed answer from senior management. Furthermore the hygiene is impeccable and they handle each client with caution and care. In conclusion this has been my first experience ever donating any bodily fluid which ha
Today may 27 2025 I finished my donation at 4:35 pm I still haven't got paid for my donation people from earlier donation are gathering up athe location for none payment the staff is clueless.
Great location, Tiffany is great at what she does and always knows how to fix everything if anything happens. If there's one person I could have every visit it'd be her!
The debit card they gave me for compensation can't be activated, I tried multiple ways, including online, over the phone, email, and text message. As of now, I haven't been able to retrieve any of the money they promised to give after a plasma transfer, some of their locations also seems rather unsafe and unsanitary, including the water filter on the drinking fountain showing a red light, meaning it needs to be replaced. If that's what happens with the obvious, easy to notice signs, imagine how unsafe getti
Tiffany was great. She provided me with information I needed! I was in and out fast. Very helpful.
Hire more people. The waiting time in 2 lines is ridiculous. I have an appointment for a reason. I have other appointments and work. I had to wait in two lines ?? and my back hurts on the hard floor. I had to purchase a chair the wait time is so long.
Absolutely great experience! From the beginning, I was greeted by Dylan with such great customer service! As it was my first time, he was very patient and kind! Once I was in the donation process, Sarah was also very kind and informative, and so polite it was easy to strike a conversation. Overall the energy was great, and the team was great!
As a first time donator I had a horrible experience. Staff was playing around and gossiping 90% of the time. My appointment was at 1:45 and I didn't leave till almost 6pm it was ridiculous. Then the last girl that was disconnecting me she was walking around with the same gloves touching her hair and other working then she came to disconnect me I asked her to change her gloves and she said they were clean. Will never go to this location again
I haven't had no complaints and most importantly appreciate the staff for being caring professionals. In particular Ty she's amazing every time and has an encouraging spirit. Much appreciated
The center in Pearland has friendly workers and usually runs pretty smooth. They might have a day where it seems as if everyone showed up on the same day, but they keep it moving.
I have been a donor for 4 years and I try to fit my donations into my time outside of work. Lately I have been discouraged from making donations. I don't understand how the financial assistance works. I was donating every week and I was at $130 per week and that has been dropping to $125, $115, $110. What is the logic behind this? If this is to encourage donations then the amount shouldn't be lowered if the person is donating consecutively. This makes the person lose interest since they are going every week
The employees are very knowledgeable and friendly and answered all of my questions. Very organized and you get in and out fairly quickly.
Absolutely wonderful experience for my first time I was assisted by Alayah she was super friendly and made the process seem simple. She helped ease my worries and answered all of my questions. She even made sure that I was comfortable up until it was time for me to leave. Would recommend the Pearland location just because the entire staff made me feel very welcomed and care after.
The employees are always so nice! Very professional and efficient! They always brighten my day.
It was great when I went today they say I my not be able to donate anymore and I'm sad about that or all the experience was great and fast
I have always had a pleasant visit. Sometimes it can get crowded but it depends on day and time. Everyone es nice and always ready to make you feel comfortable. Had various Phlebotomist and the all have been great but Raghad is awesome! Very good hand. Barely feel the needle. I recommend visiting early morning
Have better staff that actually wants to work and is attentive to your donors. There is absolutely NO reason why they are talking to one another and moving like slugs. In ANY medical field, you need to move quickly and swiftly while also being attentive and precise! Can't just hire ANYONE, let's be mindful of the people you are hiring that represent YOUR company. They are the face! Half of them, look like they don't wanna be there and forever drag their feet like they have all the time in the world (which i
I haven't been to your center in Pearland and over 6 months. I was very disappointed. I waited in line before I even got to the seat for 2 hours. One thing I really enjoyed about BioLife was the appointments. We could go in and out in less than an hour and a half. This time it took me 4 hours. I do not understand why you have appointments if you have so much overflow. As far as the staff and crew. Very well trained and nothing but respect! I enjoyed speaking with the employees. Thank you so much because I k
Staff is super nice and attentive even with the process taking as long as it does they make you feel welcomed
Great location great employees Mira n Miya as well as Eternity caring n compassion about your visit Pearland location everyone gets along clean sanitarylocation n conditions are exceptional ?? great location great management keep up great work been goin Pearland location 2 years always satisfied experience great management
Completed my new donor bonus; nice, clean, mostly professional environment. Music is good, and my experience was overall smooth every time
My appointment was at 7:35AM on Friday, and I waited 2 hours just to get into a bed to start donating. I really appreciated this location when it opened, but I definitely feel that the patient to employee ratio is completely off. Sometimes there are 1-2 employees in the front manning vitals, and there are 20 people in line waiting to get their vitals taken. I understand that I could just leave whenever, but I count these appointments as part of my income. It's unfortunate that I'm having to be at this place
Yall need to give people more money makein the same thing every week is crazy we help but we really not makein nothing $50-$71 isn't good enough for our plasma it's like yall r robbing us because yall know we need some money but we are save in lives we need more
Great facility, staff and process. Highly recommend
The staff is polite from beginning to end. It was my first time donating. Nurses Tai made me feel so comfortable. She answered all my questions. She even went above and beyond by connecting me with Joceline who was an amazing technician. She talked me through the whole process and made me feel comfortable. She checked in on me through the whole process. I highly recommend this location.
Wait times are extremely long and it's always alot of inner confusion going on within the staff.. everyone are definitely knowledgeable and very friendly but the unorganized environment makes it's difficult for them employees to work effectively.. I've had to leave twice because I waited to get my pre work done at least a hr and a half and once before I've been there 5 hours. If they can get efficient and maybe better management! It would be a perfect location. Also there are a lot of ppl just talking among
My very first experience there was not great. They were extremely understaffed the whole process took almost 4 hours. However I continue to go back and see changes and I can tell they're really working hard to get everybody out in a timely manner.
This place is as slow as Christmas. You make an ?appointment? but they're always clearly overbooked because the line inside will wrap around and they'll have all of 2-3 staff members actually doing check in. Add on the ghetto people who are allowing their friends to cut in line with them and it's a hugely unpleasant experience all around. Not worth your time.
I look forward to coming in to see Dylan smiling face to check in and then wait to be taken care of by Jimena. She is always so pleasant and nice and checks on you. Couldn't imagine going anywhere else.
No soap in men's room. Same band-aid stuck on the walls for weeks. Many of the staff are more concerned with there personal conversations
When I was here a year ago things were fast. They had people to setup the new bags and hoses and others dedicated to inserting the needle as well as floaters to help out in the different stations. I could be in and out in less than an hour most days. Now, a year later, they have one person per section. It's not uncommon to see people wait over an hour to be seated. Then it can take another 20 minutes to start the donation and then another 30 minutes after the process is done. Don't come here if you don't
All staff have an amazing attitude and are super friendly. The 3 stars is for the wait times. I started donating in 2023. My first visit took a while, but subsequent visits were between 1-1.5 hrs max. Since Nov or so, all visits have been 2-3 hours. There have been a handful of times that I enter at my scheduled appointment time to see a line out the door. $40 doesn't cover 3 hours of my time, IMO.
Everyone from check in to the phlebotomist was welcoming. They engaged is conversations that made me feel calm and at ease. The experience was amazing. It's truly a blessing to work with caring people.
This place is very efficient. I was in and out within an hour of getting there.
Hannah was absolutely wonderful ?? made my experience great.
Olivia was excellent she was patient and gentle and she made my process painless will definitely be coming back and asking for her
This location is very clean and organized. All staff is nice and professional. Raghad is my favorite she's always working hard and makes the process go by fast ?? keep up the good work!!
Tiffany was awesome and very knowledgeable! Wonderful staff!
Wow what a wonderful establishment. They are very friendly. Even when they are extremities busy they care. I'm glad they have great spirits when my daughter and i go every Friday and Sunday. I HIGHLY recommend them.
Joceline did an amazing job and I am so pleased. I'm usually squeamish and she found my vein with no problem. She really made my experience super comfortable for my second time. Sarah, the supervisor also made sure I understood the center rules and I appreciated her for that as well. I absolutely love this center and I look forward to our relationship. Amazing staff, great process. Please give those ladies a round of applause for amazing work.
I've always had a great experience at BioLife! Plasma cannot be made, it has to come from blood, so it is a great way to help people!
I love saving my donation money while donating for such a great cause. BioLife is so professional and punctual every step of the way. I only wish we could get more coupons sporadically during the year as well as earn more money for the reward points. Otherwise, I am truly happy and grateful for their service
Everything was fine except towards the end of my second when the phlebotomist was removing The tape the needle came out. I feel fine for the most part, but I think I wish others were notified about the incident just to make sure there's no damage.
Appointment at 1:30 for 1st time donation. Guess how long it took them.....6hrs. No joke. That $40 come out to 6.67 per hr. Less than minimum wage. I wasted an entire afternoon here. This amount of time is entirely unacceptable. Since I had to wait so long to donate....It was after 4pm by the time I got to the back and about 30 mins before I actually got stuck with a needle. You might as well feed people that healthy meal. I had a reaction apparently because I waited so long since having a meal. The nurse
Great place they make you feel comfortable and happy ??for you to be donating
Coming from an individual with experience in the plasma field I am extremely impressed with the faculty and the facility . The nurse Kenita was very thorough at explaining the process . The phlebotomist are very comforting and skilled. I've read reviews about the timing but that has not been my experience at all. My appt has been scheduled for 830 and I'm out by 920 . New donor appt was at 830 & I was out by 11. Great job BioLife
I've been going for 4 months now and Raghad is my favorite employee. She's always so nice and efficient in her time managing. She's very professional and she is also knowledgeable and able to answer any question I have.
I used to love this place but it's become unbearable to donate here. 2.5 hours of waiting and don't even have a bed yet.. who has time for this? For $40?? It's unfortunate bc most of the staff are very pleasant but I cannot spend half my day here. 20 people in line for vitals and only 2 stations open. Why are there 7 stations if you're only going to staff 2 people? If you have a high turnover rate than there's an issue with your business. If you don't know how to schedule effectively than that's a big prob
Staff works fast and professionally, every employee I had an encounter with was friendly and was working hard. This is my first visit here and I'd definitely recommend! Dwayne did an amazing job during my physical! Auria was very helpful and made my experience easy and was super fun and helpful!
I have donated plasma at this facility almost a year. For the most part, I have had positive experiences. The staff have a professional demeanor. Lately, they do seem to have some growing pains. It appears to be too many donors scheduled for too few staff. Although it was efficient in the beginning, it has become the norm to stand in lines well over an hour before you are able to go to a bed.
I'd like to take a moment to shout out two employees: I interacted with Alaiah first. HIGH energy, very personable & made the intake process very memorable & refreshing. She explained details thoroughly and was able to match my energy, ensuring that I was comfortable. Lastly the star of the show: Ms. Kenita! After a long shift, she let it be known that she looked forward to getting off (as anyone would) but what I loved the most is that her customer service didn't waiver! She was thorough and kind. I apprec
Raghad is always great. She is very professional and fast she is easy on her stick. Everyone is so professional and very experienced. Friendly and love being here at pearland bio life center. It is like a second family. Great job everyone keep up the great attitude and good spirits,
Very friendly and efficient staff that make you feel comfortable.
Don't waste your time driving over there if you're in a month to month lease
It is a great place with good people but the fact that my donations went from 135 a month dropping by ten dollars every month I only get 100 for two donations a week this is big discouragement from continuing to visit might have to find somewhere else that values their donors more
BIOMAT IS SO MUCH BETTER! they don't scream at you when u ask to leave the premises, hardly a line, and ur not gonna be waiting 1.5 hours just to get a bed! the waits have always been long in the year that i did donate. today was no different except my phone died. i asked can i go get my charger and the short black nurse was so rude and embarrassing. she said no essentially so i stood there for maybe 2 more min and she came back with an attitude saying im going to tell u this as nice as possible..blah blah.
I have been attending this location for about a month and all the staff is friendly and patient. Especially one of the staff members Jimena she is very attentive and nice. She has disconnected me a couple of times and she always makes sure I'm doing fine throughout the process. The staff makes every visit enjoyable!
It's a very clean place and the staff are very friendly!!! I love the app!!
Staff is phenomenal here. There's risks to anything, that's why we have to sign waivers. I don't get people writing a poor review based on a policy or one bad experience. I've done a few donations at this point and the first was tricky but the staff was great through the whole thing. Eternity and I think Mikaela are both great. Ulises too.
The center and staff were amazing, besides it taking over 5 hours for a new donor. The worst thing is their Debit Card that you get! If you call the number on the back, you can only speak with someone in the Philippines, and you to click on the phone option for Fraud to speak with a useless person! I demanded to be transferred to someone in the United States ( which is our right), and twice they told me they couldn't connect me! I will go to Walgreens from now on after donating and withdraw the funds and ad
Jon Jon is fun, professional and caring.Eternity made me feel calm and welcome due to it being my first time ever giving plasma. When I say I didn't feel the needle stick and asked her when we were getting started and she said we are done. On my third visit I was helped by Olivia and the caring and professionalism she shows is unmatched. Sara the manager is very warm and checks in. This center treats you like family.
The manager there was rude. He did my check in screening and he would do one thing and walk away to do something else and then come back to me do one thing and walk away to do something else. my np was high so that's understandable on why i couldn't donate but another guy was higher than mines and he let the guy donate. all the other staff members were coming up to him asking what should they do because it was storming out and the lights kept going off and on and he acted as if he didn't care. this was my f
The wait time is long. No notice of needing a dr note if you have psoriasis. Nor did other staff know. I waited hours just to be deferred at phisical. When seeing someone with psoriasis, the staff should have flagged it before continuing. The nurse wanted me to lie about pricing because the nurses said no one would see. Even tho my tattoos and other piercings would not have been seen either. Even when you have to agree that all piercings and tattoos were noted and documented. If not, you'll be permanently
Great experience! People kind, clean facility, and get to help people
So disappointed. This place used to be great but I can't go anymore unless I have 2-3 hours to spare. PLEASE hire more people to do vitals. It's insane that I have to wait over an hour bc there are maybe 2 people up front doing it. MOST of the staff is very friendly and most of the phlebotomists are great, but I can't spend my entire evening there. And for the love of all that is good and holy can you please tell people to wear headphones or turn the sound off on their phones? It's beyond rude that I have t
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
