Ive never had such a huge bruise. My arm has been hurting since my donation Tuesday. They need to stop ?fishing? and to make it worse another employee wanted to use my bruised arm at my subsequent appointment. Luckily the supervisor said no! Some of these young girls don't know what they're doing and are so rude. This is absolutely ridiculous. No reason I should be so bruised or have my arm hurting 4 days after my donation
On my very first visit, I got poked both arms and I have a huge bruise on my entire arm the clinic has a DMV feeling with shady people walking around and the smell of marijuana in the air people waiting in long lines. I was there for 3 1/2 hours. After one week, my arm still hurts. I'm never going back.
Not new,but may not be super tenured (about 44 donations so far) so I'm familiar with the grace period before and after my appt time. I scheduled for 5p, arrived at around 5:07p, saw that there weren't any computers open for scan- in, so I went to use the restroom first. Came out, glanced at the time at 5:09, and then when I went to scan my finger, it prompted an issue with not seeing my appt. Pulled my phone out and saw that it was 5:10p. Figured the front desk can help me with this as this is my first ti
I waited over 20 minutes on the bed for my donation to start. There are so many employees walking around and chatting with each other it's very frustrating. The amount of money paid is not enough to put up with the lack of urgency in the employees. I went early in the morning and it wasn't very crowded, but I still waited because the Pomona employees just saunter around.
I've been to other plasma donation centers and I have to admit this center is not organized and sanitary. I've also have dealt with lack of compensation payment more than once. This place is quick to take your plasma but not quick to compensate you. I gave it three stars only because the staff are friendly. I will be looking into going to a different center for now on.
Absolutely terrible place. Where to even start? The location feels old and not well-kept as soon as you walk inside, which doesn't exactly inspire comfort for something like plasma donation, which should be clean and sterile. There's barely any waiting area, so they have you wait in line to get your vitals checked and also to be seated on a bed for the donation itself. If you come during a busy time, be prepared to stand for half an hour or more in each line. Then, once you're getting your vitals checked, t
My worst experience so far at a donation center, nurse left two huge hematomas on my arm, pain in the arm for two weeks, called several times to address the issue and to the date nobody has contacted me, lawyers are getting involved now.
I have difficult veins to hit so there's only a handful of Superstars I have connect me! Recently Karen has been added to the Elite Roster of NEVER MISSING or requiring adjustments!!!! Another talented blessing for me. Quick observation, she interacts with her colleagues very well & multitasks like a natural leader. Thank you Karen!!!!
Inept and uneducated doctor. She literally googled infront of me and went with the first link she found. not even a medical article. The staff was also completely unaware of how they function. they have zero lack of communication between employees which leads to misinformation being given to the patient. I would rate this experience, a zero out of 10. if I didn't have to give them a star to post this, I wouldn't.
This is a great way to make some extra cash, especially when you use the many promotions they have. Mine was $750 for 8 donations May and the deal is legit. Each visit takes 60-120 minutes depending on how busy they are and if you have any complications.
My appointment time was at 11:50am. It took a little over an hour to get to a station to donate. Once I started donating, the machine kept turning off and was beeping. All the employees were so busy, no one came to see me for about 5 minutes. I had to try to get one of the employee?s attention to help me. Once they fixed the issue, it happened again after a couple of minutes from being fixed. The employee said I lost about 80ml of blood and needed to stop the donation and see a nurse. I donated about 420ml
Go to another center. Awful location. No respect for appointment times, dirty, with unfriendly staff. Been donating on and off for 2+ years. And I thought I'd try this center since it's a little closer to home. Big mistake. The place is probably too busy for their own good. I had an appointment for a donation with physical, and it took 1.5 hrs to see the nurse. I watched people who checked in much later than me, go before me. When I said something, I was told I was next and then waited ANOTHER 30 minutes.
I love going to Donate. Not only are they very professional but very friendly and sweet? Especially both of my Favorites nurses Jennet and Tawny ALWAYS ON THE GO to MAKE SURE everyone is taken care of and ready to go along with their day? My experience every time I go donate has been very easy, straight forward, and smooth! I just passed my phlebotomy test and I love it here so much that I'm thinking of apply here at this location soon!!!!
I checked the list of disqualifies before the appointment, drove an hour and a half, waited over an hour just to be seen, then 1.5 hours into being there, they say I'm not eligible for donation. Even though I've donated plasma for hospitals before. Like City of Hope. Even the doctor said ?I know that has zero relevance to donating?. So I wasted 4.5 hours and gas, only to be turned away for something that has nothing to do with donating blood/needles and isn't even listed on their site. They did give me a li
Chris and Lexi?s did an amazing job. Always friendly , courteous and great attitude. We need more like them.
Zero stars for sure! On my 3rd visit I donated and had to get a replacement card for compensation. The compensation has still not been added and it's been almost 2 hours. I've been on hold for 20 minutes now and was just told to go back to the center.... I don't live near the center or should i have to go back for an error on their part... I'll find a.new donation center if BioLife can't get it together because this is an actual crime at this point! I'll be looking into calling a lawyer to see what type of
They were so fast and productive! Emilie and Leanna worked incredibly well. This is by far, the most efficient facility that I have been to. Keep up the great work!!
I've been coming here for over a year and they just replaced the security guard. He is not much of a guard every time I walk in he has his phone under the podium setting down watching what even does not even acknowledge that someone has came threw the door.i also have noticed that they still need sealers being short on this slows them down
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO HERE. The manager, Tanya, informed me I was in the wrong after I stepped outside for some air and got disqualified for doing so after driving all the way from Studio City. I was then informed I had to reschedule, but couldn't do so for the same day because I had completed a questionnaire and then stepped outside for a moment. 0 compensation and consideration. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CONSIDERATION.
After coming to this location for quite some time now I can confidently say they have stepped up their game with wait times and services. Princessa is one of the elite members that has accommodated me and treated me with the upmost respect. She took the time to care for me and leaves me with exceptionally joyful everytime I get her! Cannot wait to come back! They deserve a pizza party
Christopher . S is very professional with all the patients ive seen him care for while i was donating as well. I come here almost every week and have had him help me a few time and feel as though he definitely deserves recognition. Thank you christopher
I've been donating at this location for about a year now and tend to have a higher pulse than normal resulting in not being able to donate sometimes. However Alexa (yes like Amazon) up in the screening area ALWAYS delivers exceptional service, has a keen attention to the details of her clients and strives to make the experience as soothing for the donor as possible! I don't know if it's the calming nature she has to the way she does her job but I tend to always pass my BPM when I screen with her. I don't n
DONT COME HERE! I had to do a protein test in Jan 2025 no one ever called me for the results. I wasn't low on protein, rather high a bit. I took it upon myself to go in person 2 weeks 3/29/25 asked to speak to a nurse which she said she couldn't believe no one called me. I had to get re-tested that day. Last week received a call that I was cleared & can donate. I asked to speck to a manager & was told to go in person. I went in person 4/5/25 to speak to a manager told him everything that happened & asked fo
I wish my experiences here were as good as others. Is it my fault that techs call in sick and you're understaffed. Don't open another section if you can't handle it. 3 hours to donate is getting ridiculous!
Why do so many people have the same appointment time? My appointment was a 6. I was done with vitals at 6:15. I was still waiting at a bed at 6:50 so I left without donating. Why does it take so long to donate? No since of urgency at this biolife location.
Chris is kind, thoughtful. When ever Chris held me, we laugh. He makes me very comfortable and he has a gentle touch.
BioLife caters to one individually and with great care and attentiveness. My experience has been great and recommend others to participate. you do a great service and are financially taken care of for your contribution. Great appreciation on my part to everyone at BioLife.
Too cold: no blankets. No snacks. No hand squeezers. And, they need more people working because even though the nurse who was working in my area was working hard it still took her 20 minutes to unhook me after I was done. Please hire more people.
Great experience at the Pomona, CA location for a first timer. Everyone was friendly and [personable. I suggest making an early morning appointment as it seemed to be very busy later in the day. The check in process was easy. The whole process for my first time took about 2.5 hours. You will need to check in, get a physical, meet with the nurse, wait for an open donation station and do the donation process. It is for a good cause and will help many people.
I have been going to this location since March 2024 and they are great. I understand that sometimes they take a little long but they do what they can and get to you as soon as possible. The only issue I have with them is that I went in on Sunday and there was an issue with the sewer system and water was coming out of the floor, because I didn't start the donation process yet they told me to go to the front to reschedule. At the moment they couldn't overwrite the appointment but they told me to come in this
Chris S. Is a beautiful Person . Very kind , patient and considerate Always nice to know that he ll be the one connecting me up fir my donation .
Keep in mind you're only allowed to go to one plasma donation center at a time. Make sure it's not this one. You will be ignored and your time will be wasted. The first nurse didn't even say hello and wouldn't even look at me for the entire time I was there.
If you're not scared of needles this is a great opportunity to help People in need. I was not aware how great the extra money is also. That was not the started donating but it is the reason I'm still donating ??
I make the trip because I love the people and atmosphere. Everyone is professional and a few cuties that are pleasant to the eye.
Dont Risk it! My mom went here for a few weeks to make extra money, until today, whether the machine actually malfunctioned as they claimed or someone didnt pay attention, as the blood was being drawn, the saline solution wasnt supplied back to her, she felt nauseous then passed out for a minute, they supplied icepacks and electrolytes and let her go, i went to pick her up and she vomitted alot and felt weak. Its unacceptable what happened and she wont be coming back here, Dont risk your health like this, l
Great place for Plasma Donation.. All the staff members are understanding and very informative. They're very well organized and the place is kept top notch.
The donaton services at biolife are high quality. It is a precise and efficient process. The phlebotomists and donation procedure are top notch! The unwritten rule of plasma donation is that you can spend your plasma donation money on whatever you would like.
I don't like to write negative about my donations, but recently I donated and the tech's were so overwhelmed and pretty sure they all wanted to leave, one of the tech's was pocking my are according to her she couldn't find my vein the pain and the damage that was done it's not okay. But other than that it's okay.
Staff was so kind and helpful. They really took their time to make sure I understood everything and was comfortable throughout the entire donating process
I donated today finished at 7:40 I check my account an hour later nothing. On my account no payment I call over to this location just to have a worker tell me wait an hour which has been will over. Her next response is wait 24 hours ima tell anybody that thinks about coming here look elsewhere they can take your plasma and act like they don't have to pay you afterwards this is my situation as of today don't do it you yourself this establishment is such a let down. I mostly won't receive my money due to inco
I signed up with one of their promos, which in this case promised extra money if I did 8 donations within a certain time frame. Unfortunately, the techs. caused bruising where I was stuck in my arm, and they won't let you donate if you're showing bruising. This happened twice, which has caused me to miss my deadline. Otherwise, the facilities seem sanitary and most of the staff are friendly. And payment is basically on the spot.
Took almost 3 hours, Last 4 donations all took over 2 hours. Taking in more people and shorter staffed. Not referring to the testers, plubotomists or nurses. They are all friendly and helpful.
The staff were very friendly, professional, and time efficient. I felt comfortable the whole time and will be returning for future donations.
They definitely need some more employees but besides that everyone was friendly. They are very efficient on telling you the process.
The staff were friendly. The entire process was faster than I expected. The clinic was very clean. The snacks are good. Nothing cheap about them, if that's important to anyone While I was waiting my 15 minutes in the recovery area, I activated my cash card that i was given and by the time I finished activating the card, I noticed that my compensation had already been deposited. The Playlist that was streaming was amazing....All 80's music.
The staff member that try to connect me to the machine Bruce my arms , both of them, he couldn't even take the plasma out , I never had this issue before , I had to canceled my two future appointments because of the bruising , also sound like he blame it on me because the niece told me that if it happens again I couldn't donate for 8 weeks , I couldn't get some of my blood back , I'm not happy , specially because he and the niece blame it on me , when the guy who poke me didn't know what he was doing and b
It seems a reoccurring thing that there are very long wait times. Last week I reached out to BioLife directly about an issue at their facility and no one has responded or replied back. Also, I have been disappointed in the compensation that returning donors receive for their time and efforts?because of these issues I am thinking of no longer donating plasma.
It's so amazing place what I see that some nurses who willingly to communicate through write for Deaf person. I'm so appreciate!
Excellent bedside manner. Light touch. Friendly and easy to talk with. I request him whenever possible.
Phlebotomist princessa is super helpful Hard-working Professional person I've ever met she Always makes sure I'm satisfied with her service
I always have a good experience the staff are friendly and thoughtful. The nurses are very kind and make sure that I'm ok and good. It's an amazing place!
The facility was great. Communication was good and all the working areas were clean.
Great overall experience. No complaints. Had a few questions and they handled quickly and professionally.
Came to do weekly donation. Christopher did my blood draw and was very easy to talk to
I did not like it. The last time I donated it took 3 hours. I complained to the manager and she said that she could do anything when staff called out sick. I asked her what time she was aware they would be short staff since it was mid day. She was upset. She ignored my request to expedite or atleast have someone prepare the needle since I had been sitting on the bed a while. To my surprise she put a notice on my health record indicating I was rude. I suspect it was to protect herself since I mentioned
I understand the challenges of working in a customer service role, especially in a fast-paced environment. However, my experiences at this blood donation center have been concerning. The attitude of the staff varies significantly, ranging from friendly and professional to dismissive and, at times, hostile. On several occasions, I've felt uneasy due to the lack of basic sanitation practices, such as not changing gloves between patients. Additionally, their appointment policy seems inconsistent, often dependi
This facility is so busy and sometimes, they forget about the patient. That was me today. I signed in but the system can't detect my finger print so a man, who worked in the front desk (and also other patients), told me that he would help me. That was quick. I signed the questionnaire. Then I went in line to get tested. That took about 10 minutes of waiting. And once I got to the attendants to check my weight, etc? The lady told me that my questionnaire wasn't approved so I need to be checked by the nurse
And this is another reason why this donation center is one of the better ones to go to Tanya always has such a great attitude and is extremely professional! Every time she works it feels different in such a good way she definitely knows how to run it. Great job and keep up the good work. 5 stars hands down
I have been donating for a couple of years. My experience has not been bad perse. But there has been a couple of issues. The promo after your initial promo is rather small. I know the medicines they make with our plasma is sold for a pretty big profit. Would be great if they kicked that back down to the people who donate regularly. Also there was one employee that was rude no matter what day I went in. It's as if she didn't like me. And made me feel pretty uncomfortable. I did bring this up to one of the
My biggest concern is cleanliness, I was called over to the orange section with a guy and he did not wipe down the seat or the arm rest. Throughout the time I was there around an hour and a half he did not wipe down one seat or arm rest! That is disgusting. Not my first time seeing this type of stuff here. They really need to deal with this issue!
Lately, as of 9-27-24 the Pomona location is becoming more and more less desirable to go to. They are constantly short staffed which leads to grumpy staff (not all of them) and crazy long lines, especially when busy. Today it took 3 hours. They were offering people waiting in line an extra $20 on their next appointment if they got out of line and rescheduled. Who ever runs this facility needs to make changes.
I like going here the people for my last 4 donations have been really nice ! But?.. when I went in yesterday I had Roxana put the needle in and it freaken hurt soooo bad. My other donations that I did the girls were gentle and I can totally tell that girl was having a bad day. When she first approached me she didn't say anything not even a greeting.A few moments go by and she asked for my name and social and with out any warning she stuck the needle in really rough that I clinched. It just hurt really bad.
The process is now taking about 2-2 1/2 hours. I was late for work even though I mentioned to my "Phlebotomist Harry", he didn't care, neither his assistant. He also threatened me with removing and erasing my information, and I won't be able to donate again and help save people's lives.
I always have a good experience the staff are friendly and thoughtful. The nurses are very kind and make sure that I'm ok and good. It's an amazing place!
I registered my Husband and It wouldn't allow us online to schedule anything sooner till almost 6 days away, so we decided to do a walk-In but we would call first. We left 4 messages and NO ONE got back to us. We got scheduled for this Saturday to go and If this is taking this long & has horrible Customer Service why donate. What's going to happen now that we are Members. Horrible service and NO ONE PICKS UP, no matter what option you choose or leave a message.
The lines are really long waiting for vitals and the line for a bed to donate. The schedule they have every five minutes needs to be changed. The restrooms are always lacking something either toilet paper, seat covers soap and are always dirty. Filthy dirty. Changing to the Lakewood location.
There was a huge line at the vitals station and the employees were just standing around and talking. This irritates me and I wanted to leave.
Technician ruined my shirt because they don't know when they're doing always in a rush. Dry cleaners said shirt was ruined do to there being discoloration in the area where the shirt was affected. Danny would not reimburse me without the dry cleaners receipt. Would not accept the dry cleaners ticket. I'm out of a really nice blouse but good thing she said I can donate and get $20 out of my next two donations. Yea no thanks. This place is a nightmare. Do not come here. Clueless people with no tact.
Elianna gave me some of the best service I have received. She was so nice and gentle I barely felt the needle!! She made sure I was taken care of. Everyone else was cool too
Very professional staff....thank you!!It's nothing that you need to do because you guys do an excellent job professional courteous and caring staff that provides services that are extraordinary to the public and to the private I thank you for everything you all do and I appreciate everything keep up the great job
The workers are all very nice and professional. Wouldn't have made it through the holidays without the benefits of donating.
This was truly the worst experience I've ever had. I was late 15 minutes and was told by a lady named Diana that I had to reschedule. My initial appt was at 1:55 and the next available appt was 3:25 which was perfectly fine it was my fault. The issue I had was when I was waiting she accepted 2 different people who had also came late. Completely unfair and rude. Why did I have to wait for over an hour while the other late people didn't? Finally I lay down to get my blood drawn and they took over 20 minutes
The technician that do the set are very nice . I keep a hawk eye on them to make sure they don't skip a step . My last visits have been awesome . However a few visits prior, the technician left my setup and walk across to check a woman's arm . The technician touched the woman's arm then came back to me. I asked the technician " you are going to changes your gloves right." The technician said yes , I watched the technician as she did change the gloves. If the technician didn't change the gloves. I would o
The ladies that have been assisting me while I donate my plasma at this location are very friendly and make me feel at ease during my visits. The few times I have been to this location they have been very busy. I am greeted with a smile. During the donation process I watch the employees interact with each other and it appears that all have a good relationship with one another which is very nice to see. On my second time donating I had a little issue at the end and the ladies were quick to respond to help me
Always long waits. Never enough phlebotomist. You can get a bed and wait up to an hour to be connected.
Everything was fast and efficient; techs were very patient especially with someone new. I loved that they guided me where to go instead of just pointing to the location and me getting lost. Thank you for showing me where I needed to go. Plasma draw was painless as well.
Staff is lifeless. The lines are long 90% of the time. Even when the lines are short, you'll still be there over 2 hours. They will leave you in a bed for 30 mins waiting to get hooked up and another 30 mins waiting to get released. Just go for your new donor deal and never go back.
This place runs really well and professional. Only issue I have is the scan sign on and off for the questionnaire, please replace the fingerprint scanners as they seldom work. I spend more time attempting to scan my fingerprint than actually donating. Biggest issue I have with this company is the way they keep lowering the amount you receive for donating. The only reward you receive for continuing to donate is a reduced pay per donation.
They don't take time with patients and the blood pressure cuffs are not working properly
The staff with few exceptions are not friendly. The nurses there exception Sonia is great The first nurse who I saw was scaring me that I would faint she is never good even as I met her 2 nd time ,I forgot her name
This place goes out of their way to make sure you can't donate here. I've come here 3 different times and every single time there is a new reason why I can't donate. I recommend any other plasma donation center, just not this one.
If I could give this place and the nurses that work here 0 stars I would. I had the absolute worse experience here and will I will not be donating plasma or blood anymore. I waited nearly FOUR hours to donate because a "nurse misplaced my new donor placard" which had my social security number on it. That is what I was told by the supervisor on duty (Saturday January 27, 2004). The nurse who took my new donor placard is named Kayla. Once I was finally hooked up to the plasma machine I immediately began havin
Professional attitude behavior during all procedures from enrollment to the actual donation process.
they are friendly but the wait time is too much after they sat me down it took about 20 minutes for them to connect me to the machine
There was so many inconveniences due to staff giving the wrong information each time I went. They did not educate me properly and I went to 3 donation centers 1 in Riverside, 1 in Pomona, and the other in Lakewood. All my bad experiences happened at the Lakewood donation center. If I could give them zero start so would but there's no option for that. I'm never going back to BioLife and I hope you don't go either there are other plasma donation companies out there that I'm sure will treat you way better tha
It takes too long to donate , it shouldn't take over 3 hours each time when you schedule an appointment, the system they use is clearly disorganized
Bad location after you finish doing the first 8 donations they drop the payments to half, and the nurses aren't all that great at finding veins sometimes you have to get poked more than once, then after donating here 10 times I found out at the hospital they messed up my veins when I had to go for something else, definitely not worth the 80$ "new donor bonus" you get looking back at it at it no matter how much you need the money
Even though I'm slow answering the questionnaire in the beginning of checking in , and getting too a bed too start the blood process, the total time from start to finish is fast from the past of 25 yrs ago , the way of the whole process is much faster today from the past , so THANK YOU BIOLIFE PLASMA SERVICES
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
