The nurses in the blue scrubs at the front are very unprofessional and impolite. I have on more than one occasion heard the attendants at the desk making fun of patients after they leave to get their plasma drawn. They are also very short with patients, rolling eyes and brushing people off. Not to mention the way they treat new patients. I have seen people in the ?new patient area? waiting to be seen from the time I get there until I leave; which can be a 2+ hour commitment. They schedule appointments just
Staff is wonderful! My only complaint is you can never reach them by phone. Left my appointment on June 20, 2025 it's been 2 hours and money still isn't on my card, now I have to drive back to the center to see what's going on.
Check in process was smooth but I wish they did a better job explaining that once you have a ?fail? during your check in process that you have a to wait another day to come back. I would suggest getting a better system that can confirm your social so then others don't have to find out when they are checking in that the form they brought doesn't work. Other than that everything was fine and they were easy to work with
As a first time plasma donator, I was a little nervous going in. However, to my surprise from the moment, I walked into the building, I was greeted with a smile. Throughout the entire process, every employee was friendly and explained everything in detail. I really had no questions because they covered everything. From start to finish, I was impressed with the entire visit.
Although I am very afraid of needles, Technician Sierra inspired confidence and was efficient and accurate. The process was as painless as it could possibly be, and I didn't have to wait to get unhooked. Having a highly experienced technician like Sierra makes me feel better about coming back and less afraid of needles. Thank you.
I truly love the Salisbury location! Yes I love help saving lives but the Salisbury location make me feel that I am more that just a donor , Especially when the manager Francesca is on staff ! She is great with her staff and she ensures that the donors are treated in a professional manner . There team work is amazing even with dealing with someone as myself who is impatient lol They make me laugh and truth be told they ( Ms .Erica Butler , Ms Amira , Ms Miya and last but not least Ms Brikira I call her slim
This place is absolutely ridiculous! I made an appointment for 9:50 AM, signed in and was told to have a seat. I waited an hour before I even got to start my check-in. Meanwhile, three walk-ins came in and got help before I was even spoken too! They don't prioritize their customers. And to make matters worse, there were multiple employees and nurses, but only one active nurse and two people up front pulling blood. It's a complete mess! This establishment lacks professionalism and time management. I will not
I started donating plasma 10/24 with my boyfriend. We now go twice a week since! We call it our date night. It helps us have some spending money while we are helping others! The staff are great at the Salisbury MD location!
They are always welcoming with great energy , They have away of making clients feel at ease . They are very patient and efficient. Erica Butler and bricera , and Amira are very Good with clients They have this protective nature with they clients , Ms fransheka ( manger) is very helpful in getting manners resolved as well as assisting her team in times where her attention is need and because of them I have yet to miss a week in the four months I been going
Literally the hardest people to get in contact with I have actively called 31 TIMES IN 4 days , with no answer, I have serious questions that they don't want to answer. They have phones in EVERY OFFICE I SEEN THEM. No matter what direct line I dial through nobody answers. I shouldn't have to go in just to ask simple questions. Especially being that I have an account already. I can't make an appoint for some reason out of no where and it says to contact them. BUT DO THEY ANSWER HELL NO.
This place makes you feel safe and comfortable. I never have problems with the donations. The promo is good and the app is easy.
great staff that always makes me feel important. Makes me feel good to know my donation is helping someone else lead a more fulfilling life.
SLOW PROCESSING: It's a normal experience for walk-in and see a line of 10-15 or more waiting to be screened. Currently, 14 in line and only 2 techs screening clients in. I've had only a few bad experiences with the techs once seated on a machine. BTW your poster with the QR asking for us to leave a Google review has "exceeded it's time," according to Google.
I use to go to Bio Life at Bellingham, WA, found one near my house at Salisbury, MD. My girlfriend and I both donate there, it's our date night twice a week. I love the staff there, great people.
I wish it was possible to give 0 stars. I am saddened to report that I was improperly injected and left in pain, even after attempting to seek assistance. It was not until a fellow donor in line noticed my distress and helped me get someone's attention that I received any help. In that moment, I not only felt hurt but also neglected. I had clearly explained what I did not want to happen, yet it happened that same day. I ended up being injected in both arms and developed a hematoma on my right arm. I went
For the biggest part it is great but here lately the check in process is absolutely ridiculous. You have to wait 30+ minutes just to get your vitals checked before you can go donate. This needs to change. See several ppl walk out or not even come in because of the lines.
I can't say I've had great experiences here without shouting out ERICA!!! She's the best hands down. This tech cares and her attitude is great. She needs a raise like asap. Caring for the donor with her kind words and meaning every bit goes a long way. Having to sit down for long periods at a time can a bit much, but she makes it cozy. Answering all questions and explaining everything any detail. Thank you Erica keep that awesome spirit. Great place to do at as well.
I like to help people with there illnesses by giving my plasma donations. Everyone involved in the entire process are blessed.
Tbh this place was the ONLY plasma center I've been to that WASNT a zoo but now... turning into the usual headache as the rest. The staff is good for the most part. Few stars, few soso, few that really shouldn't be anywhere near anyone and or poking them with needles. Understaffed 90 percent of the time I come in. Lines wrapped around the whole inside lately. You got the lazzzzy ones not doing much, typing on their phones n watches while the STARS (excellent employees) are running around busting their butt
The only reason I can say 4 is because everyone has bad days and long days but I recently had a provider that has damaged my arm twice. I still refuse to say she is not good at her job maybe a retraining program Should be introduced Every other year or every other six months whatever but everyone is always nice and friendly the front desk intake Personnel are always nice and helpful once you get to the chairs everyone Does their best to make it a happy and relaxing Donation. Really appreciate the floor mana
Everyone was very kind and knew a great deal to help me as a first time donor.
The wait time, and the pay, I know plasma banks get $2500 to $3000 a bottle for plasma, and we only get $40 one day and $60 on the second donation, I donated in Georgia for 5 yrs at one plasma Bank and they paid excellent along with bonuses on top of what u got paid, They need to open up another one to cut the wait times down, so everyone won't pile up at one plasma Bank, in Georgia they paid you by your weight, 190lbs and up got paid top dollar, the light weight people got paid a little less money, because
Their service was quick, fast and proficient and I was able to get in and donate my plasma within one hour so I was very happy and the compensation they provide is a tremendous help ????!!! I love Biolife and feel inner satisfaction knowing that I am saving lives ????!!!
Absolutely the WORST managed facility I've been to. Waits are often an hour just to sit down. They are only fully staffed on days where an inspection takes place. Currently 1 person at intake taking vitals, and a line of 14 people. Absolutely absurd. Update: 11/10/24. Management is to blame. They're apparently scheduling 5 donors every 5 minutes. It used to be 2. Wait times are atrocious. 16 people in the first line, 8 in the second. 2 people at intake because the 3rd needs to keep leaving her station to a
This place used to be frantic but bearable. It looks like the majority of their employees have quit and the ones left are extremely unhappy to be here. It's a shame that they have sunk so fast. Seems to be all unhappy Indians with no Chiefs.
Overall friendly staff and clean facility. Came for my initial donation on time for appointment all said and done left 5 hours later. Definitely clear your schedule and prepare to owe your partner, if they been with kids. I'm a fairly fit guy and no issues, just slow on Tuesdays from what I've been told.
If I could give zero I would. This place used to be good and I had no issues until the past 2 months. I went and they messed up my arm. Went back another week later and did the other arm and THE SAME THING HAPPENED! I ended up fainting and woke up to ?concerned nurses? who had no sympathy for me when I started crying because I was scared. My arms were bruised for a week. This is ridiculous. The time I went when I fainted I informed the nurse my concerns from last time and when she put the needle in I alread
They're very thorough and the whole process was very smooth and the phlebotomist there are excellent I'm a hard stick and they nailed it very smooth process
I have donated 97 times as of this post. I am actually donor number 1 at the salisbury branch. When I say it has continued to be poorly managed when it comes to setting or booking appointments. Today waited 62 minutes 27 seconds to get screened to be be told my pulse was 103. 100 is max allowed ! Ya think the wait may have some effect? When I approached a manager and showed her the stopwatch on my phone she shrugged and said yeah we have had lines all day. Yeah this is how you loose truly dedicat
Something needs to change. Been a biolife doner for almost a year with nearly 75 donations complete, and have watched the past 3 months take a turn for the worst. My typical visit of answering the questionare, screening, and donating would always take an hour or less. Now that same process takes 3 hrs. Not acceptable. My most recent visit was scheduled for 140pm. I arrived at 135pm, but due to long lines and poorly trained staff I was not in a donors chair until 230pm. Again I have made nearly 75 donat
Everyone there is very professional treat with kindness and Wee Ann is a great phlebotomist I am one who doesn't Needles she is very patient and very good at what she does. I didn't even know she put the needle in until after it was over and Debbie she does a great job is behind the counter. Blood testing and the blood pressure great personality. All the ladies do a wonderful job
The overbooking is insane here. Too many appointments for too few techs. You should not have to be here for hours waiting to be put on a machine. The staff is polite but they are not machines. Do better BIO
The facility is clean and the staff are friendly. However, they are understaffed or misstaffed. There is often a long wait to either be screened or to donate. When they are appropriately staffed and everything flows smoothly you can be in and out in approximately an hour. The last several months it's been difficult to get out in less than 2 hours.
if i could give a zero i would? sat in the waiting room for three hours and was poked 3 times in my fingers before being told i am not an eligible candidate because i have fainted before. (not from my blood even being drawn) i thought the ?have you ever fainted? question was just in general so i answered yes. turns out if you have ever fainted once in your whole life you cannot donate. wasted my time and my money for nothing
Always super friendly staff! Normally in and out just about an hour . Very clean facility.
Originally I gave it 5 stars but I've had to downgrade it. I've been going for a year and have donated about 60 times. The staff works hard but the place is way overbooked. It used to take about an hour. Expect to be there 2 hours every time you go now.
I had an awful experience at BioLife. I waited 3.5 hours only to be told that I wasn't eligible to donate. Why wait so long to tell me that? The entire process was painfully slow, and some of the staff were rude. On top of that, they made me go back home to get my social security card and proof of address, even though they didn't ask for that from the person who referred me. The lack of consistency and poor communication made this experience incredibly frustrating. I wouldn't recommend donating here.
I came in for the first time today. Warning the full process did take almost 3 hours. However, the staff has been so kind, patient, knowledgable, and accepting of any questions or thoughts throughout each step. They have a smile on their faces ready to help! If your coming for the first time, they make sure to give you snacks and a protien drink incase you havnt eaten or low on protien. They also walk you through each step as it occurs (sign in, registering, vitals, question station, physical, plasma withdr
Dylan is amazing and I love it when I get her. She is kind and very good at her job.
I waited to leave a review until I had a few visits in, while the first visit is a bit of a pain as far as time, you can expect to be there 3 1/2 hours to 4 hours. Other visits take about an hour and a half. The funds I was promised are always placed on my card immediately upon finishing my visit. The app they have is very well made and provides just about everything you need to be a good donor. Drink plenty of water the day of your donation and a protein drink an hour before your visit if you haven't eaten
Great overall experience. There was a long wait, but I did somewhat anticipate that because it was the very first day and everyone who came had to go through the entire process. For your very first visit give yourself a few hours, especially while there are a lot of new donors. The staff is all very courteous and kind. They checked on the donors frequently. The facility is kept very cold so be prepared. I brought a blanket for when I was doing my donation and was so thankful that I had it. I only wish I ha
As a return donar. It was a great experience. The lady that did the physical was super awesome, & the lady that stuck me was absolutely on point. I didn't feel out at all. The only bad part of my return was finding out Brody switched locations... COME BACK BUDDY !! Lol
I am disgusted to witness that upon donation donors stop at the booth for vitals, however 99% of the phlebotomist doing finger sticks, stick numerous people and NEVER EVER PUT ON FRESH GLOVES IT?S A BIT IRRITATING THAT for them to switch and put on new gloves, I have to request if they change their gloves I've been donating for about two months or three months now and it has not changed. It is probably only one African-American stocky female who changes her gloves on a regular basis after each fingerstick,
The staff at the front desk and for the most part the staff the does the Bp and other stats are very nice and helpful. But, today was not that at all, the staff member who took my Bp today refused to let me stand until she was ready to take my Bp. When I asked to talk to a manager she refused to get one. I decided to try and call with no response so I walked in and asked for a manager. The lady that talked to me did not introduce herself but told me she was the Assistant Manager, she refused to give me any
I've donated for 1 year and im on my 100th donation. Out of 100 visits I've only had a low protein, and missed a week. I have no complaints, everyone is great to me.
Not good. I noticed blood had dripped down into my chair. My tech simply looked at the dried stain, and let me keep going. When blood started bubbling out of my needle entrance, I asked for another techs attention. Once stopped and saline administered back into my system, a pool of wet blood was found on my seat, and of course on my clothing.
The facility is clean and everyone I've dealt with are very kind and helpful. I've had the pleasure of interacting with Luna twice now and I must say Luna is extremely understanding and goes above and beyond for comfortability. Make sure to eat well and load up on fluids and you will do fine!
I am still here in the waiting room. I got here at 11:50 it is 1:19 and there are 8 people waiting for a physical with 1 nurse. They are saying computers are down, no apologies, there is an exam room with nobody in it so why not use that computer and get the line moving or close the appointments. The man is here to fix the computers and he is standing here waiting because they won't allow him to fix it. The reason I give plasma is because my son needs plasma to live not for the money. I have already sat in
Worst customer service, nurses are unhelpful and uninformed, wait times are horrible. I waited almost an hour to be screened and ended up leaving. There were no less than 6 people scheduled for my time slot. I'll stick to donating blood since this place runs like a comedy show. It is full of skeptical people, I'm not sure their screening process is valid.
I was there for over 3 hours. I cant lose this much time especially when I had an appointment
I scheduled an appointment at 11:40. At 1:40 I left because there were numerous people who were ahead of me still waiting to be taken back for their physical. 1 gentleman mentioned he had been there 3 hours. I understand this is the grand opening. The staff was all friendly & polite. This was 100% overbooking. If walk ins were being accepted, the gentleman coming in as I left should not have been able to schedule an appointment today for 1:40 I will try again. To advertise to allow 2 hours for an appointmen
The staff was very welcoming, and made it an great experience
It is very clean and everyone is so nice and friendly.
5 stars give it up for them!!??????Very great clean environment ?????????? well organized. Very nice people. I thought the lady Shell was a robot because cant no human read fast,( no rushing manor) an accurate as she can, ?? (insider) I believe she can read with her eyes closed. Also as well as she reads , she does her job very well and knows her procedures. She is very professional as well as her coworkers I have encountered, The handsome well mannered young man Broadie, fantastic zee, Amazing Alex and
I waited to post a review because I wanted to experience several visits before "making a judgement". Most of the staff are extremely friendly and do a great job of making donors comfortable and relaxed. It's always a quick process to get triage completed and a smooth transition to the pods for donation. The facility is very clean and maintained. For the first month (plus) there were trainers on site which lead to super quick start to finish donations, I'm guessing. One could be in and out in around 75-80 mi
I did my second ever donation. I wanted to extend my first month plan but I couldn't. I did my first donation, but then they called me in to do some paperwork that would go to my physician, and I couldn't donate until they got it done and gave it back. I couldn't get my plan extended because it counted towards the days of that plan. Why did I even start donating before the paperwork was done, I couldn't donate during that time, how is that my fault? That is completely out of my control how long my physician
I've been to Biolife three times and even though I have only been a few short times, I have referred several people because my experience has been great. Clean facilities, great staff from the front desk/vital stations, to the nurses and the people on the floor drawing the plasma. If you're on the fence give it a try, you will not only help people but also be compensated for your time. A win win.
Nice comforting atmosphere, the staff are always incredibly nice and helpful
Everyone has been very kind. Everything runs very smooth.
The staff here are friendly and attentive, and have very infectious (no pun intended) personalities.
Excellent experience everyone there is nice and caring.
Grand Opening day was a bit hectic with the typical hiccups. Overall everyone was super polite and kind. Once the staff become more accustom to the flow of people it should be a great experience for everyone. I would recommend the Salisbury location to everyone.
The staff are very informative and friendly. The place is kept very clean and everything was conducted in a very professional manner. Very satisfied with my experience.
This been a blessed experience to be able to help others and make a lil money on the side but more importantly help those who need ...
Everyone at the facility it very nice and very understanding. They speak to you professionally and if you have questions they are more than willing to answer them. Definitely a good group of individuals
There are alot of people trai ning, which will eventually be good. 1st time there someone didnt clamp thelines coming out of machine after a donation n it sprayed everywhere inclufing the back of my leg. No apologies or snything done to my psnts. They dud hurry to sorsy down the area but i had to ask to be moved due to the strong clorox fumes. 2nd visit i was orange carded due to having asthma...why? I am truthful. Not in active asthma attack nor have i had onein 2years but had to wait yo be seen by mss. M
Great facility,Clean and bright! Zee checked me in and was very nice and personable. Malaya drew my plasma, she was very nice as well. She talked me through everything and checked on me often.
Says it'll only take 45min you are actually there up to 2 hrs depending on how busy it is
I was told I was unable to donate due to a heart attack 12 years ago, even though I have cardiac clearance from my cardiologist. I've also sent three emails and left two messages within the center. Almost one month later of trying to contact someone no response.! I've already attempted to send emails to that email address with no response as well
I have had the best experiences donating plasma at BioLife. The staff are all phenomenal, helpful, and so friendly. The building is always super clean and organized. I've donated 5 times so far and am so excited to continue doing so! ??
Very clean facility.....Everyone is friendly but I always request for Bri' Kyra. She is very good, patient and make your visit comfortable.
I am banned for life because I didn't disclose a tiny tattoo I got as a teenager. Seriously how stupid do you have to be to not recognize that the tattoo was very old and not anything recent? Seriously I got a tiny tattoo 40 years ago and because I didn't disclose it I have a life ban. I've watched junkies all strung out sitting in there donating but I'm banned for a 40 year old tattoo. Life saving must not be that important to Bio life.
Excellent experience in a clean and professional setting.
The facility is very clean and organized. While there, the staff were so nice and extremely helpful.
Brand new center. Very professional and caring team. Give yourself a solid 2 hours if it is your first time. Drink a lot of water the day before and the morning of so that the plama collection goes faster.
I actually enjoy donating because I know that my plasma goes to saving someone's life but I am disappointed in the fluctuating promotions. Our plasma is worth a lot more than what we receive.
September 21st 2024 was my 100th donation. I haven't received my 1000 Bonus Points yet.
Always a pleasant experience donating at your center. The staff are so friendly and take the time to answer your questions.
Great To Know U Doing Good In Da World But Also Be Careful On Your Health It Aint For Everybody
The workers there make me feel very comfortable and they are so nice, it's very welcoming and it's a very good feeling to be treated so nice.
I can't say enough about the how friendly and professional the staff is here, the only thing negative about my experiences here is that they are short staffed and the wait time is getting crazy, seriously need to be open 7 days a week with longer hours and double your staff.
Every one was pleasant and professional. The whole process was easy and quick.
My fianc? was donating until for some reason he took a test which was hard for him to get the results because they never answered the phone, when he finally got someone they told him to come in just to tell him he couldn't donate anymore because he had a false positive result saying he had hepatitis and that banned him for life which is ridiculous because that was not his fault
I waited over 2 hours today here at the Salisbury location and as a first time donor I answered the questions truthfully about having PTSD as a veteran and I was told that because I have PTSD from serving this country I can NOT donate my plasma slap in the face for anyone with a mental condition this company decides to punish them and even worst a veteran I am beyond pissed spoke with Darren the Manager whom gave some excuse they violated their own Non Discrimination Code
why haven't my fee gone up from $125 like other peoples whom is getting $135 AND $145 A WEEK I GIVE FAITHFULLY WHY CAN'T I GET A INCREASE TO?
Staff was very nice and professional. My only complaint is that I ended up being there for 3 hours when it was suppose to be 2 hours.
From the first visit everyone is kind friendly and helpful. The nurses and the staff. It's an easy pleasant experience.
They're Pleasant and knowledgeable!
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
