Great staff. Very clean, organized, and a well run operation. It was busy when I was there, but that can't be controlled. Time wise did pretty good. I would definitely recommend them. The assistant manager Connor T is very knowledgeable and attentive to the needs of the operation.
I have been a donor for years, and have always updated my tattoos, most of which are extremely obvious. Like face tattoos for example. I went in for my physical a couple of days ago, went through the update process, making sure all of my information regarding my tattoos was up to date. When going through my chart, you can even see where they've added things sometimes twice, asking me to recall things from months, even YEARS ago (like literally asking me for precise dates of specific tattoos and I'm covered
I don't understand why they don't have more people working to screen people during high volume times. I am currently 17th in line to be screened, there's 6 people behind me, and there's only 2 people working. I see management peeking their head around every now and then. Why don't they get on a computer and start screening people? They could also limit the number of donations allowed in certain time frames. On top of that, I now have to donate 150ccs more than I have ever had to in the 10+ years I've been d
Plasma donation is new to me. I was under the impression that I was getting $85-90 for the next two appointments, as per your numerous emails. I received a ton of e-mails asking me to go back. When I went in yesterday, I was shocked to find I only received $50, very bait and switch. I can promise you that I will never donate with BioLife ever again.
The staff is always friendly and concerned for your comfort. I have flat veins and need a several adjustments during a donation. They never seem frustrated. The new faster machines are amazing. I was in and out so fast, even having to be adjusted 3 times, in and out in 45 mins. Old machine would take an hour and a half or more. Thanks for the upgrade!!
This place has always been clean and the staff is always very patient and friendly. Kalyan was amazing and had the touch of an angel. I am always in and out pretty quickly, and haven't had any issues with long wait times yet.
Biolife in Springfield missouri on MCCURRY street is great. Its very clean. All of the staff members are very nice and they are really good at there job.
Professional, kind, and attentive. Always. The staff makes the experience easy. Medicine from donations helps to heal others. What a great cause, and extra cash for a few minutes of time. ??
I have great experiences when visiting BioLife, helping folks in need of plasma while putting a few bucks in my pocket. Have formed great relationships with the phlebotomists who make you feel important while sitting in the chair. As long as my veins allow, I will continue to donate!!
I normally donate at the other site here in Springfield. My jobsite was only 10 minutes away so I figured it's be the same. ITS NOT. Everything from the atmosphere to the staff different. When I asked for a squeeze thing. I was given two Little hard cardboard tubes tapes together to use to pump. Uhhh that's not something to squeeze. I spent more time trying to keep ahold of it then I was able to pump with it. Needless to say I'll pass on ever coming back to this site. Was by for the worse experience I've h
Very good experience, staff has always always been nice and professional..(*minus the unpleasant interaction with the entitled millennial female nurse) other than that and them adding another 200+mL of plasma on top of the 900 I'm already donating usually a measly $50 ...that's 1100ml that added almost 35 more mins....yet I am not compensated anymore. Why dont gas stations not just have flat rates then? Full tanks $50.....even if you got just a Gas Can or a moped or an 18 wheeler. Doesn't make sense huh
I went here recently with my friend and to start off when we walked in we were greeted in a rude manner. On their website they promote english and spanish services but when we were asked if we spoke english i answered with yes to a certain extent due to it being my second language. The lady told me that we weren't able to donate because we don't speak enough english and that they weren't able to provide us with any translating services we asked if we could use our phones to translate they rudely said no and
Horrible horrible horrible don't go here I REPEAT DONT GO HEAR AS A NEW DONOR THEY OFFER YOU 70-100 dollars on your first few donations then after that you become a plasma rat selling your life Essence for 50 dollars each time then an extra 15-20 on the next instead of paying me what was owed they tried to offer me a coupon to donate more I wouldn't go hear tons of meth addicts and your just basically a plasma mule don't be that it's quick money for people to get a fix of drugs but they are not helping anyo
Started donating here last year and love the perks. The facility is clean, the staff is always super nice. They are very helpful if you have any questions. They also have an app that makes everything super easy, scheduling donations and your debit card balance. I highly recommend donating here if you haven't.I know I already said it, but the staff is amazing!
Very clean environment and the staff there are just beyond awesome and amazing they are very professional and good at there job. They make you feel welcomed, safe, secure and more best place to go to if you want to donate not only for money but for the help of those who really needs the donation of plasma most of all. And I am thankful for being able to be able to help not only save lives but to make a big difference in those who also deserves that chance. I thank God for allowing me to be able to be a bles
I had a little hiccup at the start. I have a heart murmur and had to get a release from my doctor. They care that you are healthy and that the procedure will be ok for you. Very friendly staff and professional. Sometimes can get very busy, but they move right along. Expect procedure from start to finish to take 2 hours. That is pretty good pay!
I had a great experience donating plasma today! The facility was super clean, and every employee I had contact with was friendly and helpful. They explained everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The process was quick and easy, and it felt good knowing I was helping others. If you're thinking about donating, I definitely recommend this Biolife location.
Love BioLife Plasma Center. The facility is clean, well organized, and has an amazing and friendly staff. The staff is responsive to your needs, friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled. I have never had an issue when they stick me and they get it right the first time.
The staff is really nice and friendly and they go up and beyond to make you feel comfortable at all times.. and they have amazing team I give them a 5 stars because if I can save life?s and help others in need sigh me up? my first time experiencing was amazing?
I had called up a day prior before making the two hour drive to make sure I would be able to donate as I had donated 3 days before at a church drive and was told I would still be able to donate as a new patient (that I am) so I made the drive did the whole check in and went through all the steps then as Im at the end of everything they tell me they can't take any blood from me till October. I was WRONGFULLY told the WRONG information and I am absolutely going to a different location. thank God my husband wa
I use to love donating but now they take 1100 ml instead of 800 but doesn't pay anymore. They say it's because of the height now
The staff here is always super helpful, and are knowledgeable about any questions or concerns I have or anyone for that matter. Always a good experience from start to finish.
A few unprofessional workers stand out. Had one employee talking to the donor next to me while prepping me about politics and seemed a little disgruntled over election results. A person about to start an IV on me complaining about the election does not instill comfort. Other occasions the employees clearly have favorites who they'll shout over the floor to say hi, gather 2 or 3 employees to chat no matter how busy the facility is. I can't say they are slacking but it does appear that way while you're waitin
The people at Bio Life for most part are friendly and it's a great way to help other as you give your plasma!
All the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They get you in and out in the least amount of time possible
Everyone at the facility is professional and go out of their way to make the donors comfortable. The process is streamlined and efficient.
mostly good experience. I just don't understand why they don't change gloves between clients when checking people in. Not just for staff protection. You need to protect your clients as well.
My experience there was wonderful the staff was very helpful and answered all my questions before my donation definitely going to be going back
The staff were amazing! Every single person was so friendly and patient. I ended feeling sick towards the end of my donation and they all took good care of me and explained everything until I was feeling better. I've highly recommended you to friends and family since my visit. Thank you for what you do!
I started my donation journey Nov 2023. I initially joined for the amazing new donor bonus promotion of $850. I completed it no problem! I have had a mostly positive experience every single time I've donated. I had one experience where my return was so slow that I was sitting there for over 2 hours. I asked a supervisor why it was so slow, and he saw my return on my machine was set at the slowest setting possible and he apologized and gave me an extra $20 for my time. There have been a couple of rou
Best donation I have ever been to. The staff are friendly and courteous. The facility is always spotless and clean. They treat you like a person not just a number. They always go above and beyond.
The building is clean and most of the staff is very friendly. The staff is good at what they do and generally try hard to make your experience pleasant. There is one male worker who is consistently not pleasant to work with. He generally works the check-in area where you get your hematocrit and protein checked. He's taller with glasses and just doesn't seem like he likes his job- generally is rough and not friendly. Otherwise, everyone else I have met has been super friendly and makes your choice to sp
This location is very clean and well run. I have had decent interactions with the staff. I haven't had any issues other than my veins are sometimes hard to navigate so I prefer some flebotomist over others. All and all - I prefer this company over others I used. Helping others is a plus, but I strictly do it for the extra cash. Wait times vary. Only had to wait extra long on 4 occasions since joining last year. Keep up the good work!
Had a great first appointment. Expect your first time to be long. Computer questionnaire, blood test, physical exam, tatto and piercing log in. And then you do your first plasma draw afterwards. In all was there for 2 hours for the first visit. Each visit after is only 1 hour. No biggie, for a great cause, and the money is the bonus. Great staff as well, had Kelsey as my nurse there, she was helpful, calm, knowledgeable. Kept me at ease. Thank you.
Extremely clean, fast and efficient workers. They do amazing. Only reason I'm giving four stars is I've recently had an employee tell me I couldn't give bc my hematocrit was a 37.5 which I'm now being told is impossible. I was turned away and sent home bc it was ?under 38?. I've had a few frustrating experiences during check in with this person.
Staff member was extremely rude and unprofessional. My mother has donated plasma at this location for years and has never had a problem with an employee. Yet, today, a staff member made a comment about her uncontrollable medical condition (causes involuntary movements) and asked if my mother was ?disgusted by them.? The staff member proceeded to question her and dismiss her harshly even as my mother tried to explain her condition. Honestly baffled at how the staff member created/handled the situation.
BioLife (on Erie in Springfield) is wonderful. Everyone is so nice and professional. I've been there well over 100 times and have never had a negative experience. I actually enjoy going to donate because of how friendly everyone is there. I feel welcomed and appreciated. The facility is spotless and obviously very clean and sanitary. Thanks to everyone at BioLife for always being great! Swaggie Maggie, Malorie, Ethan, Landon, Bren, Wade, Connor, and the guy who looks like Orlando Bloom. All fantastic people
The people here are very helpful and make you feel very comfortable everyone that has helped me has been very nice ??
Staff is great and they're always helpful. Had a medical procedure so I was deferred for a while and the process for getting approval for the doctor was a huge pain. One thing that for sure needs to be fixed is the rewards. The amount given for 1250 points if far less than the frequency bonuses were. Bring back coupons too
I have been donating here for the last 9 months and it has been great, but today a line was crossed. In the midst of a very stressful & overwhelming week for my husband and I, we got our days mixed up of when we had last donated. (It can happen to the best of us) Well, the app malfunctioned and allowed us to schedule an appointment even though we were ineligible to donate. So we spoke to the woman at the front desk confused, to find out we had already donated twice for the week, which is fine. However, what
When the bonuses are done, Biolife will keep sending promos like they will pay you $110. This plasmapheresis is not worth the stigma and trouble for $40.
The scheduling needs to be spaced out more or something it's a 20 to 30 min or longer stand in line to be checked in then include the time to be seated and start the donation process. I guess I shouldn't complain too much since they're paying me to donate.. but I do think some changes could be made to decrease the wait time, Sometimes I miss it reschedule due to the wait. Other than that it's been a positive experience.
Friendly and helpful staff make the visit quick and and they always thank you for the donation
I really enjoy going to give my plasma twice a week at the Springfield location on 1620 East Erie St. all the employees are wonderful including the Management. It is a great experience. It is tax-free and it helps others at the same time!??
Abbey was great! I've been donating twice a week for at least a month now and that was the most comfortable needle stick I have ever experienced. She was attentive and kind even through a rush hour. Definitely hope I get her again in the future!
This place takes soooo long to get you in a chair and start. Would not recommend!
Every staff member is a pro both in executing their position (screener, reception, tech, & management) and with a friendly attitude. Can't say enough about everyone that works there. They represent your company in the finest way possible.
I was close to having a panic attack during my first donation and Ethan came by and started talking to me. He explained what was going on and eventually everything subsided, if it wasn't for his patience and kindness I wouldn't have came back. Now I'm on my 7th donation and am comfortable every time thanks to Ethan!!
Csl is such a wonderful place to donate, everyone there is so nice!!
This establishment seems to fear progress with technology. They seem to be misinformed and of the type to pass the buck to invisible people that are out of state(AKA HR departments in Texas). John Harrison is COMPLETELY unfit for public relations and managements. For the most part he knew of no city ordinances or policies about photography within the facility. Photography is not a legal, however some people like to make you think that it is. It's in my opinion to be very wary of facilities that go to great
I donate regularly at this center, & have for years! I enjoy the staff as a whole immensely, and they have become like a second family to me. My phlebotomist this past visit, Abbey, did an exceptional job! She was very professional, & thoughtful to anything I needed. If you are considering making some extra money, & getting the side benefit of helping others, consider giving Plasma. It's a great supplemental income, that provides a valuable, life saving service!
Very friendly staff! I wouldn't donate if you were in a hurry. I know a lot people think it's going to be fast it does take time to get check in and get hooked up but I love helping the people that is in need for it.
Staff was very unhelpful, was stabbed multiple times, vein was blown out, didn't get the last cycle of saline cause the needle came out. Floors stay gross and filled with used bandages, it's actually pretty nasty and no one cam answer simple questions about thr compensation.. is no one there on the same page?
I have always had a pleasant experience at Biolife over the course of the last 4 years other than occasionally I new phlebotomists have a little difficulty with my veins. Staff has always been great. I would give 5 stars but will give 4 stars because I feel $650 for returning donors is not enough for 8 donations. If the price goes up I will return.
Deborah got me checked in and she was amazing! I loved her friendly attitude. Devin attended to me and he was great, too. Very friendly. Unfortunately, most of the time, the staff here is a little immature and not too knowledgeable. I'm updating this review because I just heard a tech named Lainey ask another tech, ?how would you explain what plasma is?? I would think this would be the number one first thing someone would learn here in training. I've noticed that BioLife seems to employ very young, good-lo
Take your business to CSL, the better option. Apparently you MUST make an appointment for a physical, half of what they do; they are using a technicality to be lazy.Their appointment book had all of 5 for the day, and it was 7am. I will mention again none of this was apparent on the website or the app, that it is REQUIRED. I suppose another physical that day was too much for these failed nurses.
I always have an awesome experience here. The staff are friendly, helpful, and wonderfully accommodating. I'm in there frequently enough that a lot of staff members recognize me, and it's always nice to be able to chat with them. My phlebotomist today, Krystin, was super sweet! She was able to insert and remove the needle with minimal pain, was friendly and answered any question I had, and wore a bright smile. It's nice to feel valued :)
Everyone was so helpful and very kind! And usually it's hard for them to get a good vein but Ethan did very well! Didn't feel a thing! Overall sweet staff!!
It's not worth it. The price of everything has gone up yet these cheapskates lowered how much they pay by a considerable amount.
They start out paying you decent money for your plasma considering they make 1000$ of dollars per donation. But after a couple months they lower your payouts to 100$ a week. That's NOTHING considering how much they make per donation. 60% of the staff is rude, and the nurses are pretentious. You can tell everyone hates their job because the work moral is appalling. These two younger girl workers sit and gossip the entire time they're taking your blood pressure. It slows the line down dramatically. It shouldn
The staff was kind, professional and great educators! The facility was clean, bright and comfortable. The process was efficient and quick with out being cold or impersonal.
Be prepared for the entire donation process to take about two hours. Minimum it has taken them to get me hooked up is 45min. The staff is nice but like I said it takes forever. For example, I'm writing this while waiting to get hooked up to the machine. My appointment was at 10:35am, I took the questionnaire at 10:25am (you can show up 10min early), waited in line for vitals, waited in line to get a seat, at 11:20am I was still waiting to get hooked up to the machine. Then the donation process takes another
The guy missed my vein and then blindly went fishing for one. The whole time I'm in pain. He then starts panicking and tells me his lack of skill is my fault. I wont be back to this location, they're going to seriously injure someone.
First time donor went okay other than hematoma then my next appointment was cancelled because I didn't have proof of address on me when they don't say anything about bringing it with you every time. Blonde lady in scrubs was very snobby and said I needed to arrive on time when I entered the building one minute after my appointment time while they're standing around talking. Seems like she was mad I interrupted her gossip session. She continued to blatantly ignore all my questions and couldn't tell me why I
I've been a donor here for 3 months and I'm very happy with the cleanliness of the facility and the overall operation of it but I've had a few VERY unpleasant encounters with some of the staff. It seems to be hit or miss with that. The staff is either very polite and friendly or the complete opposite. I've had 3 different encounters with staff that were shockingly rude. Most are friendly but there's a few bad apples and we all know what bad apples do. They spoil it for the bunch. I'm still donating there bu
I always have a good experience at BioLife, they sometimes can take a bit longer than expected but I understand there's so many people and it's a lot of upkeep to help everyone. Whenever I feel uncomfortable with my cuff they get it fixed. I really like going here and I like how kind the staff is. If you like saving lives and being paid in return I highly recommend donating! You can watch YouTube or scroll social media while you donate. Sure they poke you but hey it is a small poke and it's over before you
The staff here at the Erie location are the best!! They work together as a team to get donors in and out as quickly as possible. They are very knowledgeable and make you feel comfortable through out the donation processes from the time you walk in until you leave. My husband and I have been coming here for 5 yrs now and we would definitely recommend them.
Great staff I started donating plasma really to help a friend out with a referral but found it to be fast and easy so I continued. I now donate 1x a week in Joplin and 1x week in Springfield due to my work schedule and they make going back and forth a very easy process. I would give 5 stars but 5 stars IMO would mean perfection and I feel with every place there is always room for improvement. With BioLife the only issue I've had is that sometimes I can be hard to contact them by phone. They say it's because
I've been donating at BioLife for 3 to 4 years with no issues. I had a good promotion so I made an appointment at 7:05 AM to donate. I went to take the quiz and it says I need a physical which I don't because my app says my physical is not due until February at the following year. Go to the front desk and no one is at the front and I asked the girl that is testing if I could talk to someone and she says no one is here. So I wait in line 10 minutes and when I'm next in line, the guy that supposed to do the
Overall employees of BioLife were good, but every single time I went there was something wrong either with the computers, or with my levels, which is never been the case before I started going to this clinic. Plus, I also wrote BioLife on several different occasions customer service never got back to me never acknowledged my emails. Overall not the greatest experience at BioLife considering previous clinics I have been to at BioLife were way better.
DO NOT EVER CLEAN YOUR PHONE WITH THE HAND SANITIZER THAT IS BY THE COMPUTER! The one by the computer that are the wipes sanitizer is the strongest sanitizer on the face of the earth! Must be military grade because it detached the glue from my iPhone in in 5 mins! My phone screen literally fell off!! That thing could probably remove tar! Just don't do it! Anyway this place is great! Very clean and very friendly staff! It's the BioLife is by far the best donation center in the state ??
I forgot her name, but at my location in a morning shift a thin long blue haired woman was hilarious and kept everything light hearted with jokes and stories, definitely kept me and other people at ease. The rest of the staff were great too though
I've had nothing but good experiences. A lot of times , I'm low on protein, so that's on me, but they are always very helpful and the clinic itself is safe and I think it's relaxing to give plasma and safe. It's also beneficial to the bank account as well!! The little things you can do to help save lives??!
I've had good experiences here 9 out of 10 times, and I've been here a lot. Always clean. The employees are pretty great, and there are enough that you can request someone else if there is any issue with a specific person.
BioLife is the best place to donate! All the staff is so friendly and very professional. The facility exceptionally clean, the staff follow protocol throughout the donation process, making you feel confident that you are in safe hands. Always eager to educate and answer any questions. I have been to other donation centers and they can't even come close to the cleanliness and professionalism of BioLife. Highly recommend!!!
I love the Erie biolife center. All of the workers are super friendly and accommodating. Deborah at the front always lights up my day and makes the long lines seem much shorter. I always look forward to donating. Some of the most kind people I've met in Missouri. Thank y'all.
It's clean, decently run. My only complaint is when there not busy...it take longer to hook you up..longer to unhook you...instead of getting you in and out....there taking there time talking about there weekend escapes with coworkers.
Great experience everyone was very friendly and nice??
the staff here is rude let's just be honest. I went today to donate and got denied due to high blood pressure. First I would like to say that no I am not mad about that but I am mad at the fact that the staff member taking care of me was extremely unprofessional. She didn't go over a single thing she was going to be doing to me nor did she explain it. Her name is Maddie and she is a blonde. She was hateful towards me when she pricked my finger and when blood gushed everywhere she blamed me! She should be fi
I just got the best stick by Jordyn literally had no issues. The machine normally stops 5 times throughout but today everything went so smooth.
I've had my first and second donation now and had a positive experience both times. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and made me feel at ease during the process. The first appointment is lengthy, since you have to get your physical and medical history to ensure you can donate, but appointments after that are reasonable--especially considering the amount you're earning being a first time donor. My second time, I was a little more nervous and my pulse was too high to be able to donate. On my second at
The RN, Sally is rude as hell. She definitely has no patients for anything. She kept rolling her eyes at me and kept making snide remarks. She needs to learn to have a good bedside manner. I'm not the only one who has had issues with her either, I've heard from others that she treated them just the same. It almost seemed like she was looking for every reason possible to turn me away.
As a healthcare worker myself, individual talking my vitals, Eli, needs further instruction on how to speak to patients. He is very proficient and knowledgeable in his job, however, he needs to learn soft skills. You cannot treat everyone the same as we are all very different. You should be able to adapt to each patient you see accordingly. Also referring to a patient as ?hey you? is way out of line. Yes he actually said this when I was waiting in line. The way he was treating me made me so furious I had to
I have been donating for a long time (years) and have always had the best experience here at Biolife!!! Tonight I feel inclined to leave a review because tonight is a prime example of my great experience...I had Abbey stick me tonight and she is a hoot! Haha. Then, towards the end of my donation, my body reacted badly to the anticoagulant (due to me not eating anything close enough to donation time), and Johnny was called over. He was very prompt with getting over to me, and was very alert/mindful of what w
Always so quick and easy money! All the screeners are so kind and helpful! Deborah was so sweet, she gave me all her tips and tricks to lower my pulse and IT WORKED! I often get deferred for a high pulse but I'm so thankful Deborah could help!
BioLife will say 7-10 days for a protein test. Going on 14 days, if you call good luck getting a reply. Was told they only have a doctor in once a week... So stop skipping over my paperwork or just do better. Have had issues getting payed on their card also. Donated and after 5hrs I still wasn't payed. I left messages an called 3 times, still never got a return call. I thought BioLife had their act together.
Overall this facility is clean, well-staffed, and wait times are usually minimal. I have been donating at the Erie location twice a week for 7 months now. The vast majority of needle sticks are great, and have only had a few sticks that were uncomfortable. Nyah did the most perfect needle stick I've ever had in over 40 yrs of donating blood/blood products. Bailey in medical screening is an absolute delight, and my day is made every time she does my medical. I have been a donor for over a year now and I'm ev
Biolife is super clean! And almost all of the staff have great attitudes. Ms. Shawne is absolutely lovely! I've been going for a while and she is always smiling and talking up donors, making them feel at ease about the process! She deserves a raise, she's a great example of what kindness looks like!
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
