Most of the Staff is really friendly and always welcoming with a Smile!! They work quickly to get u hooked up and disconnected. I've only had a few experiences where I walked out thinkn I'd rather never deal with that person again and twice it was the same lady. But hey not everyone is a people person.. I get that. N another time they pulled the needle out so quickly it poked me 2 more times. But pokes n pricks don't bother me. N she was so apologetic. N her personality is always a 10. But Yeah I love my Bi
I had an awful experience- I have a side vein and the phlebotomist even commented on it-I wish she would have asked someone more confident to do it from the beginning. I had a poor stick, it was painful, tried adjusting and then ultimately just turned machine way down, and was blinking red the entire time. When my first return began it was incredibly painful, I expressed this and felt that there wasn't urgency, and it got even more painful. Eventually the needle was removed, and they used my other arm-don
Makayla did my intake. She was wonderful. Kate did my needle poke for the donation and I couldn't be more happy with how everything was handled. I didn't have any issues at all. These two ladies were nothing short of incredible. Thank you for that you do!
I've had a great experience. The employees are very educational. They are giving me ideas to help me stay healthy so I can donate. They are also very friendly and accommodating when I get to my appointment early.
Last time I was here, the lady pushed the needle too deep and went through my vein. I started pumping and everything seemed okay at first, than the ?pump? icon was blinking red. I thought that was odd since I felt I was pumping fast enough. I said something to her about it and she told me, ?it's fine, the machine is just going as fast as it can?. So I thought it was fine, and continued on. About 20 minutes later I felt pain in my bicep, but my donation was basically done. The next issue to follow was on the
Very nice staff! However, it seems like you wait a long time to get hooked up & staff don't seem very busy. They also aren't attentive to who's been waiting longer & someone who just sat down may get hooked up/started before me & I've been waiting maybe 10 minutes. Frustrating...
My donation experience is always great, the staff are wonderful. What's going on with payments though?! $99 this week?? What happened to $40 and $90...this needs to be adjusted SOON
Absolutely nothing. Bio life is fantastic! I highly recommend to anyone. Friendly staff and always clean
Great center, friendly staff and great promotions for donations
Welcoming & Clean atmosphere walking into this BioLife. On point from the questionnaire to a brief physical exam by a medical specialist, approval, and then setting up at a plasmapheresis machine. Thank You ??
My experience with donating plasma is great. But now that there is no saline solution. I wish they would allow or give us a choice of healthier electrolyte solution. The red and blue and Orange diys. They're filled with fructose corn syrup and the sugar-free chemicals are not healthy. I've seen a lot of people walk away and not donate because of this fact.
Today they had 2 phlebotomist who were able to stick donors. It took 45 minutes to get a bed and get stuck.
I guess I was there on a busy night to get my physical. Waited about two hours to be seen by the nurse. Other people who had come way after me were getting seen before me by the nurse if they had problems at the computer. That didn't seem right. Thankfully I received a bonus coupon for next time, but sometimes a person?s time is worth more. I also didn't realize there was a $4.95 charge for the debit card. Not overly impressed, but they do have some staff that have a great personality.
I went in on Monday for my initial set-up and first donation. All went well until I was getting hooked up by the young, unprofessional gal who put the needle in my right arm then moved the needle left & right -- zero finesse --in search of a vein, I guess. When that failed, and damage done, she removed the needle and called another gal over to hook me up in my left arm, which #2 did with far more skill. I gave blood for 20+ yrs and have good veins in both arms, which BioLife confirmed in their screening.
I have worked with excellent people at the St. Cloud Biolife center. Even though my first experience wasn't great, I decided to give it another shot. Ever since then, my donations went great. Getting a little extra $ while I know I'm doing something good is truly an unmatched feeling!!
Lately you are either hookup up right away and then sit there for 10 mins done while waiting to get unhooked. Or sit there for 10 mins, last Friday I sat for 25 mins before getting hooked up, then I'm hooked right away. I do this on my lunch break. This waiting for hook up or unhook is almost not worth it any more. Too many workers just looking around with what looks to me like, ? that's not my area so I am not going to help.
I've never had a bad experience when I've gone into the St. Cloud center! Everyone is very friendly and cheerful with each other and donors. Some of them take the time to remember names and things donors tell them which is really nice! Everyone seems willing to help each other out when they're falling behind or struggling. I really like how they all seem to work well together and like working together even if it's busy! Makes the whole experience a lot better. Sometimes they're crazy busy and lines can be p
People that work there are nice and professional. I wish they would staff it better, so that there wasn't always a wait. Or limit the appointments they take so I didn't have to stand in line after line.
I have always had a great experience here since I started donating about 9 months ago. The staff is great and does their best to create a good experience for donors by being friendly and keeping the donation process moving smoothly. I'd like to point out that it can get extremely busy and/or they may be short-staffed at times. The weeknight evenings (4-6:30pm) are the busiest times. If you're thinking about coming to donate for the first time I recommend trying to schedule it during the middle of the day ra
The staff are always friendly but I'm super frustrated with Biolife policies. Last time I donated there was a kink in the tubing so they had to stop my donation and couldn't return my cells. A few weeks prior they put the label on the plasma bag incorrectly which caused me to donate an extra 2 MLS and now because these two situations happened twice I can't donate for 2 months...nothing in my control and it makes me upset that I'm going to end up losing close to 1k as a result
My appointment was @ 4:45. I didn't walk out the door until almost 6:45. The line to get the vidals done was long but the line to get to a bed was inexcusably long. When I got to a bed the hook up tech was moving so slow that there were still 3 more people to be hooked up in front of me. There should have been another section opened or the number of appointments should have been drastically reduced. Extremely inconsiderate and inconvenient.
Saturday September 28, 2024 I donated my scheduled time was 9:20 took over 35 minutes to get to the medical screener because there was only 1 screener and a long line of people ..... The Medical Screeners name was Brooke when I finally got to her she asked me how I was doing I said fine and she said only fine and I said yes because the wait time is to long and you all need more Medical Screeners BROOKE SAID WELL GO OUT AND FIND ME SOME SCREENERS AND I SAID I DON'T WORK HERE AND SHE SAID WELL YOU GET PAID
It was horrible. On the visit of July 31, 2024, I got blood loss due to my blood clot that formed after the flow of my blood had stopped, because of an air bubble alert, and been left unattended for unusually long until one phlebotomist spotted the clot. Adding to the vexation was that the manager explained me away saying that the length of the time the stoppage of the blood flood had nothing to do with the blood clot, without offering me any concrete explanation, adding that no matter what you do there i
Unless you have been experiencing seizures frequently and recently don't be honest about your epilepsy at all. The amount of time they ask you to be seizure free is 100% rediculous. 3 to 4 years? That's really obnoxious. So for those who have epilepsy and need to make a bit of extra cash on the side don't do the mistake I made and tell them you have epilepsy.
Could definitely use more staffing! i shouldn't be waiting over 20 minutes to get hooked up when the worker looks super lost and doesn't know what she's doing
The Money is ok but make sure you get the right nurse to administer the needle, The one nurse kalley practically stabbed my arm ,then moved the needle around when in there so unprofessional ??
Donating plasma is one of the best experiences of my life. The staff is super friendly always asking how I'm feeling and making me feel important. Knowing that I'm able to help others is the best part.
Donation always goes great. But some times it seems like the lines are very long. If there isn't enough staff then maybe they shouldn't book so many people.
Great way to help people and get a little extra money. The initial visit takes the longest, but as long as you do your research and know what is expected of you and what disqualifies you from donating it goes smoothly. For the most part, the staff is friendly, although some are brief and too the point, but not necessarily rude, they're just doing their job. It is nice that some of the staff are very friendly and help calm you if you are nervous about donating. How much you earn depends on your weight and ho
Nowhere in any of the literature does it state that tattoo ink is impenetrable, yet you will get denied from donating if your inner elbows are even slightly covered.
I've been donating for years and I've only ever had good things to say. Never been the biggest fan of needles, but the staff are wonderful at explaining the process which puts me more at ease. Wonderful experience and I will continue to donate into the future!
My mom donated here over 25 years ago, and now I do!! Great staff, great rates and pretty amazing coupons for new and returning donors. Eat healthy (protein+iron for ladies), don't smoke(vapes too) for 1-2 hours before going in so your pulse is normal, and stay hydrated! Years ago this place literally helped with paying my rent, all for donating plasma that only takes like an hour on average each time.
They rock!! Best location with the best employees! They all deserve a raise!!!
Been going for over a year, I love this location and never had a bad experience, the staff are very welcoming. Chrissy has always helped me feel comfortable, and at ease! Thanks biolife !
Arrived 15 seconds early to my appointment and got scolded like a child. I realize why appointment times are set, but 15 seconds is nothing to scold someone over. How are you for bettering people when your staff belittle donors? I will never donate plasma again in my life. Do better.
This is a great way to help others by donating plasma for those in need of plasma. Friendly staff. The only issue I have is that people who want to donate plasma aren't informed of all of the specific rules (especially when they go to make a donation appointment via the app for a first time donation and/or any appointments thereafter). For example, it would be nice to know that if a person has prior or current health issues such as diabetes diagnosis, they need to obtain certain paperwork from Biolife to be
Not a fan of needles, but the Bio-Life techs are excellent at what they do. Most of the time I don't even know when they stick me. I enjoy interacting with the staff everytime I go there. It's nice to be called by my first name when I walk in the door. They do everything they can to make us comfortable while donating.
Been going for a little over a month now and i enjoy the chance to donate. The staff is great and are nice to talk to. If you are able to donate, do it! Lives are saved daily from plasma donation.
Usually okay. Hit or miss on the wait times and staffing. Slightly better than the Waite Park location. Used to be better and more streamlined. There are a couple very easy things they can tweak to reduce wait times, but they refuse.
My daughter had an appointment to donate. When she arrived she was ?greeted? with rude staff, disorganization and long lines. She waited over an hour before she decided to just leave. During that time she Witnessed staff yelling and treating people with no respect what so ever. Now reading the reviews I see that this has been an issue for quite some time and obviously has not been addressed. We will not be going here again nor will we be recommending this place to anyone else.
I have donated multiple times at a couple of different locations (I am between 3 different locations), but this one is by far the best as far as being streamlined and getting you in and out all while being friendly and professional!
I want to commend Kathy from the Waite Park Biolife on her professionalism on Monday. A young lady came into the center and was very upset and started to yell at Kathy about scheduling an appointment then turned to storm off. Kathy quickly told the young lady that she could help her set up an account so that she could start donating. Her quick action kind voice and calm demeanor deescalated the situation. I later saw the young lady getting her physical completed. Kathy truly acted in a professional m
Ever time going to bio life been in n out quickly rhe staff there knows what there doing and they are all nice and polite will recommend BioLife to friends n family
I feel like family when I come here! Most people know me on a first name basis and there is no greater feeling than being remembered! Staff is friendly, helpful and you can tell they enjoy what they do! Keep up the great work!!
Called ahead to ask what a returning donor needs because of living an hour away. Get there and they failed to mention half of what I needed. Was made to wait outside until the exact appointment time. No seating outside. Rude receptionists. At least the medical techs were good.
Very friendly staff most of the staff are awesome they have their stuff together. But then you get new ones that don't know what they are doing. Most of the gentleman don't really know what is going on. Very happy for the most part ??
Where do I start? I went in (attempt #1), and was sent home because they felt I didn't drink enough water. They recommend drinking 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water in the 24 hours before the donation. Attempt #2 they let me fill out a questionaire before the donation. I declared I have sleep apnea, so they needed my medical records before I could donate, so they sent me home. They told me they would fax my clinic. I had to resubmit my request for medical records twice, and visit my clinic in person tw
The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They make it a pleasurable experience to donate.
Add wait times to your app so people can plan ahead. It took 1.5 hours for my donation & I was late to work.
1st time donating and EVERY single person was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, patient and kind!
I've been going to this Biolife for several years and 99% of the time the donation process goes really smooth. Having a little patience and grace for the other 1% when you have someone new sticking you or unforeseen technology issues goes a long ways. Some of the staff have been working there quite awhile and whenever I return from a hiatus to Biolife it's nice to see a lot of the same familiar faces who always look like they enjoy their job. I'm also pleasantly surprised when staff who didn't have any in
Donated for a while, when it goes well it's perfect but one time my vein got pierced and another time the person just stuck the needle in and pushed it down into my arm all the way until I felt a sharp pain deep in my elbow. Like clearly there's a skill gap and if I landed on the good or bad side was out of my control. I don't go anymore, when they pierced my vein and all that it made my arm weak for a while.
Generally a great experience. Kate and Shelby are my favorite people to work with. Both are so friendly and great at what they do. Thanks for always helping me out!
I'm type one diabetic and before I came in I called them because I didn't see anything on their website about type one diabetes specifically and the receptionist let me know that it was fine for me to donate but I needed to get a note from my doctor letting them know that my blood sugars are well-managed. I got a note from my doctor and went in for my appointment, went through the whole beginning process, etc. After an hour of me talking to people waiting and getting ready to donate I went into talk to the
I told them I would be changing medication to the newer form soon. They told me that's fine, just come in after you change. When I showed up after I switched they told me I could not donate for 30 days. This would be no problem, except they would not tell me that until I may a special trip there. It was a big waste of my time. They seem to be clean, but not for the type of facility they are. They work with blood, but they do not change gloves between people. I always keep a close watch if I go to m
The staff at BioLife are always kind and fun to deal with. The donation process is easy and gives me some time to myself to decompress at the end of the day. If you're looking for some extra cash and have a spare hour twice a week, this is absolutely worth it!
Hands down awesome staff! Very professional and friendly! Chris and Ethan are great! From a person who doesn't like needles too much, they make you feel at ease.
The staff here in st.cloud are nice and friendly. Sometimes I feel bad for them, the plem. when they get slammed, 2 or 3 people in a row and nobody to help them. Sometimes you'll see supervisors talking n visiting not jumpin to help. Overall I like that I'm tryin to change my eating habits by donating plasma.thank you for providing this service
I have been donate at the St. Cloud Biolife regularly for 2 years. The staff there is very friendly and courteous. They always go out of their ways to make you feel comfortable.
Everyone is always polite, friendly and helpful. All the staff are willing to help and will go the extra mile to make sure you have a safe and enjoyable experience. If you want to try donating plasma, this is the center to visit. I also appreciate the on cite daycare.
If you want incompetent people sticking a needle in you and draining your plasma go for it! Due to the employees incompetence during the screening process I left and will never return. The nurse I dealt with probably works there because she graduated at the bottom of her class and a hospital or clinic would never hire her!
I was at this location today as a plasma donor. The difference today was the phlebotomist, a young lady filled a vile of whole blood, like you would do at the nurses for diagnosis, before she started connecting the needle with the blood following to the machine. She didn't explained that part. I don't remember a vile getting filled from earlier visits, as she took the vile away I thought it could've been for further lookin upon it, although she didn't said about it. I don't remember the routine from regula
I was denied a bonus that was sent to me through email and was in my sign in portal because I was a "new" donor but havent donated in years. So like most, I asked for a supervisor and it was the absolute WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I was pulled into an exam room and tried to explain myself . Got interuppted with "YOU JUST NEED TO ACCEPT THAT YOURE JOT GETTING THE BONUS" um rude . So I tried to walk away. Then this manager (inga) started pointing at me like I was one of her children and thr
Biolife in St. Cloud has always provided great service. The employees are friendly and make each donation the best experience possible. The facility is very clean and sanitary. The standard of quality they follow is a big reassurance that every donor is getting the best service possible.
I love the people that work at my BioLife, they are always so friendly and my donation seems to go without any issues.
Very friendly and always helpful
This place has phlebotomists, that are lacking in skills, they bruise up your arm, and then not let you donate the next time so you cant earn that bigger $$ amount. A complete disorganized bunch of staff. This lication particularly, will screw up the needle stick on purpose, so that you cant donate the second time, be better off just geting a part time job, and forgetting wasting time here.
I filled out a form a couple years ago to sign up. The next day, someone called me to address any concerns and ask some questions. I was able to setup an appointment and then the next day someone else called to confirm my appointment. I drove 50 minutes to the one in St. Cloud only to be greeted with hostility. One of the people kept drilling me with questions like why was I here, am I shopping, do I have friends and family here, where is Stanchfield. Just incredibly rude and hostile and wasted my time and
Kate and Jada made my donation, today, amazing!! Kate slipped into my arm and I didn't even notice, that's how good she is. And Jada found me a football!! They are next to impossible to find but they help so much. I told her my hand was too small for some of the other hand exercisers and she came back a few minutes later with a small squishy football, made my whole donation go way smoother.
I have been donating at Biolife in St. Cloud for 6 years, 2x per week. I have built great relationships with all of the staff and consider them my extended family. I continually not only because donating plasma helps so many in need, but because the staff is so amazing! I highly recommend Biolife St. Cloud. Please tell them that Heather L sent you! :)
Incredible care, personality, and professionalism!
I donate regularly, but the last time I was in one of their guys kept missing my vein and was messing around trying to find it. No one else has ever had a problem. Today I was told if it happens again I might not be able to donate anymore. Really? I am bruised because of your guy, not because of anything my fault. So I donate, guess what same guy was unhooking me today, and got blood all over my shirt.
Good place to earn extra money, 70$ or more a week. I have donated more than 100 times over the last 3 years. I have not had many problems. Drink plenty of water the day before and after
Just a note: Maybe mention somewhere on your webpage that vegans and vegetarians will not be allowed to donate? I went to the St Cloud (MN) location around 3PM and was turned down and it was suggested I reconsider to either start eating meat/animal protein or simply not donate. Because otherwise donating plasma is not something I can do- (They turned me away, did not even test my blood) I was not aware that a healthy diet of plant based protein equals a 'null' when applicability to donate.
My donation experience was ultimately smooth and the staff made me feel incredibly comfortable! Outstanding customer service, hardworking people, and such a professional atmosphere !! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Hotdog
Iv been going there for about 8 months now, and iv been greeted with a smile. The employees are very friendly and kind. Just say I referred you! -Doners for life
Great place! Great staff! Safety is 1st with them! Eli is amazing at vein sticks and is highly recommended
Worst possible plwce. Boyfriend had an appointment today and because of their mess up he couldn't donate because they don't know all the proper steps to having someone become a donor even though he went through them yesterday. Definitely calling the better business bureau about BioLife in St cloud. He was in the building and they told him he can't donate because they are closed. That's why I chose CSL
They are all super friendly...but Never have enough staff working and the ones working never have a sense of urgency...frustrating. I just want to get in and out
I love this location. I go twice a week being it's down the road from work. The staff is great! I always feel welcome. Shout out to Cody!! ??
Its all good but after several donations my heartbeat was high once and now keep getting deferred
An employee named Chloe was extremely rude and refused donations because they were already people scheduled at the time I was there. Which didn't make any sense because their was no one else in the building.
Great place for college students to earn extra money! Only 1 hour twice a week and it can't be easier! These guys do a great job.
I wish I would?ve know there?ll defer you for 2 weeks if you eat spicy food. Look at the bright side After donating here for over 2 years I got cheated out of $225! Thanks biolife? Can't wait to shred my card
Quit playing around with what you pay people
If you have ptsd or bipolar don't waste your time they make you have your doctors fill out form stating you're sane enough to donate plasma!!!! Discrimination at its best!
BioLife St.Cloud has been a wonderful place to give to those who suffer from illnesses that affect Their lives. I have been coming to BioLife for over 13 years, a bonus is the fee they give you. I have used the fee given to me to support kids all around the world that need help! Thank you BioLife for being a life saver!!
I thought this place was good, but they will not allow me to donate because my asthma, a health condition I have had since I was a child, is not controlled enough for them. EVEN THOUGH MY PCP SAID IT IS CONTROLLED IT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEM. Totally disappointed at the whole company.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
