Hello I put a negative rating for the simple fact that I had an appointment scheduled for today and I was not attended to for not speaking English well. I showed him the appointment and they told me they couldn't attend to me because I don't speak English if the Biolife Plasma Services Center sees this message please contact me. I am motivated to donate..
I've been donating for a while now and never had an issue until today. I just started feeling strange, was either going to faint or throw up. Emma quickly addressed it. Karen and Matthew appeared immediately. My blood pressure had dropped, was clammy and pale. Karen took my blood pressure. Determined saline was needed. Emma and Matthew laid ice packs on me because at this point I extremely hot and sweating profusely. They all were caring, responsive, and professional. Started feeling better within a few min
My most recent two donations were a bit of a bust as I was having a very slow draw which is abnormal to me. This past Saturday 04/12/25 I was initially stuck by Maggie, then Seamus had adjusted my needle twice maybe three times mind you this was first thing in the morning and the staff was rocking and rolling already. They still monitored me and Serenity decided to try a draw from my left arm which is hard as I have very small veins in that arm. She was able to get a clean stick however the same issues came
If I could not give stars, I wouldn't. If you ever need any testing done, they don't call with your results. You never find out until you drive there. The worker was trying to help me verify my phone number and when I asked to speak to management to let them know that they need to be on top of their game to call people back about test the manager wanted to argue and called me a liar. That's also after the worker called For a manager a few times and then had to literally go and pull somebody in the office w
Visited BioLife on today. The manager Jessica inquired about my glasses asking if they were prescription. I told her they are prescription and that I cannot tolerate bright lights. Jessica stated that my eyes have to be seen and that my glasses had to be removed. I told her I was NEVER told that I had to remove my glasses. She stated according to an organization I had to remove my glasses. So basically I had to sit in bright lighting due to her demands. I've been to BioLife since December. The experience
The place itself is a great center to donate at. My issue is the fact that the company uses a card company that essentially robs and sucks every penny from you, so much so that I can spend $8.74 cents somewhere when my beginning balance was $80 and be left with $61. It was Jack in the Box, my regular debit card only gets charged $8.74 when I spend $8.74?why are there so many fees? You know, most people have to supplement our bills with this money, we're sacrificing our health to make a small amount of mone
Great experience all around. I don't have the time for another job and being able to make extra money while helping people is huge for me as a student. They have snacks on deck and everyone is ready to answer any questions you have. Jaah is very friendly and helpful! If you are a first time donor, I highly recommend eating extra protein before donating and have water available at all times the day of and after.
My experience at BioLife Plasma Services in Shrewsbury, St. Louis was very disappointing, primarily due to a significant lack of customer service and communication. When I first walked in, I was not greeted or acknowledged. I stood at the front desk for several minutes while multiple staff members walked by without saying a word. One staff member, who was working with a patient less than five feet away from me, acted like I was a ghost. While I understand she may have been busy, a simple acknowledgment or
The employees are nice and very helpful. Cami and Emma are both very knowledgeable and they hustle to get donors in and done within in a reasonable amount of time. They have been short staffed recently but I'm still in and out most of the time within an hour. Depending on time of day and whether or not there are staff shortages, I might be there 90 min at the most.
My partner had an appointment on Saturday afternoon. After getting checked in, she was told she was "way over their weight limit" and that the limit was stated on their website. Yes she's big there's no reason to phrase it that way. And there's no always no maximum weight that we could find on the website, only a minimum. Even if that's the case, why waste our time and make us come in when something like that could be part of a pre-sreening?
Have had nothing but positive experiences here. The staff has been great, and keep me wanting to come back to donate. Only downside at all would be the wait time at certain peak donation times. However when I donated this Saturday I was in and out in just over an hour wow! Overall great experience and would recommend to anyone to donate and help save lives.
The staff here always concerns me. There are 2 employees constantly causing drama with their peers and I've had one gentleman repeatedly put the needle too far in and cause bruising. I think they need to better training and a manager on site. I only Go here when there's a good promotion. $30-50 for two hours of my time isn't worth it but $70-100 I'll go.
Just looking to vent my frustration on the very little information that the employees here at bio life St Louis Watson rd location know about the system. At the very least if someone does know i believe it would benefit everyone to know all the details, especially the ones that can make a big impact on what you are trying to accomplish. I decided to go ahead and promote you're services and get those i know interested in donating. The one neighbor i started with decided to register. I was not aware you could
This place at times has been busier making you think they're giving away a prize. Thankfully at those times I've been helped by Miss Maggie who has brought me peace to avoid having issues with my donation. Thank you Miss Maggie for your attention & devotion to your craft. You're the best!
I went their was told that they were late to pick up a shipment of speed tests. So I drove up here for nothing apparently I can't donate for ten days. I start my new job tomorrow with no gas money. I wanna know why I drove all the way up here. They poked me and drew my blood anyways and the mistake was on company end. Yet I'm still not getting payed.
So sick and tired of wasting hours of my life waiting to get processed. Watching people take their time doing shit out waiting around for some stupid reason. I've tried coming in the morning with very little people and it takes about as long as it would with a crowd. Holy shit it shouldn't take me 3 hours min. to get through this donation. This is the only reason I'm looking to not donate anywhere anymore. Yall want my shit, cometo my house and wait I'm my living room for few hours.
Signed up for $120 day, got $50. Lost bonus of being first responder, never received referral bonus. Hour + Long wait times even tho appointment is scheduled. Reached out via email, did not get a response. Everyone is kind and professional while there, clean, and update but emails and referrals aren't a thing I guess.
I started coming in my free time. Feels good to help lives and get extra cash. The staff here is great and friendly. Rachel and Liberty have been very helpful to me. I would shout out more but I don't know their names. Everyone has treated me with respect.
Biolife is a quick easy way for me to have money to do fun things when my paychecks are tied up in bills. It does take time and sometimes it's crowded but you're getting paid to sit there and look at your phone so it's a win. I usually see the same people there on the days I donate, Beth, Bria, Emma, Liberty, and Tameka. Sometimes even the center supervisor is working the floor when its busy. It's comforting to know the staff and to know they'll take care of you if something goes wrong.
This is my 6th donation and I have nothing but great things to say. Everything is clean and professional. Aribelle is so sweet up front and Christine and Susan have been great when I'm donating!!! Also, Cookie and Ginger were super helpful! I really appreciate how comfortable they all make me feel!
Nice people but you're there for two hours no matter what if not more. Update a week later. So far 45 minutes since scanning in and just now getting in line for a chair. I always hope changing the time helps but it doesn't. Another 2 hour visit.
I used to donate plasma in college and recently started up again to help pay for my wedding. I've had nothing but positive experiences here. It has been well worth the extra cash to book vendors and I also like that the app shows me how many patients my plasma has helped. It's a double win! Everyone is so kind and professional, and the process goes by relatively quickly (especially first thing in the morning). Special shoutout to Briai for her pleasant conversations during the screening process and to Emma
I've been donating plasma at this location for a year. The facility is always clean and the staff is professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Shout outs to the people whose names I know - Bria, Beth, Cam, Emma, Seamus, Lacie, Alex, Maggie - you all do a great job and I appreciate you
This article was revised. I have a good size bruise on my arm from a bad stick I feel that the young lady that stuck me should be retrained, The arm is painful and I'm scared to come back to your plasma center. (The one on Watson Rd.) No one cared about this event. Dyas later I'm still bruised and cant give plasma in my arm because of the Bruise, I now go to another Plasma center. and they pay more.. Update BioLife only tried one time to contact me. I miss the call, called back Three times and no one has
Great experience at this location today! Brea was a super friendly screener and Shemus gave me a perfect painless stick and nice to see how efficiently he takes care of his section, with quick disconnects.
I've always had a good experience at the Watson Rd location. Emma and Liberty are amazing and I can't recommend them or this location enough. The facility is always clean and everyone is extremely attentive.
I've been going for a year or so now. If you make it in before the rush it's a good way to make some extra cash. Emma did a great job today as always.
The promotions that are ran after your first promotion are deceptive in nature. Offering 120.00 for A donation.... but after you donate they tell you it's for two donations. 4 hours of my time for 42.oo is not worth the effort. The problem is I spend gas money getting to the facility. Offer a fair price and I'll return to donate.
Great experience at Biolife, a polite, professional staff, clean facility and efficient process. Not there for the money, but was pleasantly surprised that funds were deposited on the provided debit card almost immediately.
Very professional and nice even though they couldn't find a suitable vain for use (because I didn't hydrate) they were cool.
This place (Biolofe on Watson road) has been GRREAT!! The staff when I go are attenative, efficient, very professional, and very knowledgeable. Susan and Emma were my techs and I would definitely recommend them or this location.
The people that work here are extremely nice and very knowledgeable. I was there for an hour while they checked my vitals, blood for iron and protein, sat at the computer and answered questions, mainly about HIV and AIDS, for 20 to 25 minutes. Had to sit for an extra 10 minutes, hoping my heart rate would drop one point so that I could donate plasma. After all of this, I was finally called into an office to discuss my medications and why I took them. I was automatically disqualified because I have an autoim
Wonderful staff! Very friendly and knowledgeable... Especially loved the nurse I think her name was Gretchen. She was extra nice and very cheerful. Definitely helped relieve any anxiety I may have had.
I've tried calling 6x for over a month trying to see if I can donate now that they've talked to my pediatric cardiologist. I had heart surgery as an infant and they turned me away until I had a DR recommendation and it's been over a month! Going to try a different donation place now that won't make me jump through so many hoops and will actually pick up the phone.
The facility is clean and the floor staff members are pretty great. However, the scheduling system is a train wreck. They require you to make an appointment, but they do not respect the appointment or your time. I have, on several occasions, not made it to a bed until an hour and a half after my appointment. On my last appointment, I stepped in and they informed me that they could not accept me as a donor that day, because they were too far behind. This caused me to loose my big pay out for the week and I
Waste of time. They give you 100 dollars for a bag they get 4000 for. They have no clue what they are doing. Just having young people draw blood it's sickening. My arm hurt for a day. On top of that it takes way too long. Go somewhere that cares.
Turned down donors on Sunday who had been lined up for appointments more than 2 hours in advance for arbitrary reasons AND they still counted us as having donated so we can't even come back for another full seven days. Promised to at least apply a coupon to count for the massive and unprecedented inconvenience and then never delivered. This is a high volume location but to really ruin the experience maliciously and intentionally for people needing the Christmas money is just awful. They've been picking and
Love this donation center! All staff is pleasant! Bri is fun to chat with while getting screening done and Emma is amazing at sticking ya!! ??
I feel that every time I have gone the staff has been very pleasant to all the donors and try to get you out as quickly as possible.
Emma is one of my favorites! She is so friendly, personable and professional. She does a fantastic job!
I love going to biolife. Everyone is so great. It's unfortunate there's a saline shortage, but I'm glad they give the ones who don't get saline Gatorade. Update: no more saline shortage!!!!!! But still everyone is so great
TJ is always a great staff person to work with. She's always so personable and gets the job done efficiently and effectively.
I always donate on Wednesdays, and it's my favorite day to donate. Especially if I get Jaah. Bedside manner ?? smooth prep and stick for donation ?? great dude, and a great place to donate.
You really deserve a 4.75.. everyone E was great. We are the clients we need for the phlebotomist to really listen to the client..I'll be back soon thanks
EMMA and LIBERTY are the BEST to ever do it! Both have AMAZING SMILES and PERSONALITIES and the fact that EMMA puts her "AMISH HERITAGE" aside to be here on SUNDAYS, just WARMS My ????????????????
I love how patient the phlebotomist are, I have very hard deep veins and they have no problem rotating to people that are easier with that, I love Emma she is the best she gets it every time.
Don't go to this location. Don't understand why I have to make an appointment, only to show up and have a line of 20 people. At this location, it's not a one time thing. Not worth the time. Edit - reached out to their link below and received no response.
Bare minimum it will take 2 hours to donate. I've been here for 3-4 hrs donating before. I know it's petty but they took away the snack they provide post donation because I had received saline. Like TOOK it away not just denied. Small but it rubbed the wrong way.
For the most part my experience with BioLife has been decent, although there have been occurrences that I find problematic. I don't particularly appreciate the 10 minute late rule, and I understand that mostly when the center is busy this is necessary, however I don't drive and rely on public transportation?last Saturday I had an appointment and was approximately 13 minutes late. When I got there I was turned away?.there were very few people there donating, with no one waiting. Also, I have been deferred tw
Bria is always so nice and pleasant! She always greets me when I walk in and she makes sure she is gentle
Treated absolutely terribly by the staff today. Will not be back and already signed up for another donation program. Had my first appointment last Thursday and had an amazing experience! I unfortunately had a bad reaction but the staff there was great and took wonderful care of me. So made a second appointment for today and took a new donor with me as well. While there for my first appointment I saw the children care sign and so we took my son with us today. Before we could get to the counter one of th
It is a cool idea to donate and even makr a few bucks in the mean time until you are waiting two hours because there are so many incompetent workers at the Watson location. This worker sat me down today to be processed and the 8 people behind me got processed while I sat there looking dumb and she went and stuck somebody else. It's the time you are really donating more than plasma. Shameful they are not better trained how to manage a crowd flow beyond their best workers. If you want to donate here you must
It's impossible to talk to an actual person about medical questions. Automatically goes to voicemail. I don't want to leave a message I want to talk to someone. Yall can't actually be that bust to where after 15 minutes and multiple calls that I cannot talk to a REAL person and not a machine!!! Plus appointments don't mean crap. Schedule an appointment for 8 am and not finished donating until after 12 pm
I won't be returning to donate at Biolife. This isn't the first time this has happened, but this past week I was stuck incorrectly. The needle in my arm was actually painful and the machine kept having to stop and be reset. They ended my donation early and I had already been there for 2 hours. The saline solution started coming out of my arm and was burning. They were so understaffed that it took what seem like minutes before someone recognized I was in distress, waving my arm in the air and saying "excuse
There's an appointment system that has zero bearing on how long it will take you to donate. There are many more appointments being made by their corporate office than the staff can handle, which is disrespectful to the donors and the staff. Furthermore, the split payment weekly method (currently $40 for the first donation and $95 for the second) is garbage. It has the downside of pushing you to need to try to schedule before the end of the week, or else you're back down to $40 for the first donation of t
I have been coming to this location for a long time, and Briai is without a doubt the friendliest, most helpful, and laid back, Briai always ensures the best possible time while here.
Had some questions to make sure I am eligable, they never answer the phone and it take an hour and 2 busses to get there. Not gonna go all the way out there just to get turned away.
Emma is awesome. My first time donating and I was very nervous, but she talked me through it and made it so easy!
Jaah was awesome. Friendly, social, efficient, and patient. He did a great job start to finish.
Dont be fooled by their bait and switch promotion emails! After receiving almost daily promotion emails that included coupons that listed my name, bonus money amounts, and expiration date. Being a new donor I didn't know the way they conducted their visits and donation payouts, so after donating and still not being addressed about the money I would receive but instead just told Thank you Goodbye I addressed a staff member of my coupon and was in not in not so many words "Too bad" bcus they were needing to h
Jaah had the most pleasant attitude and least painful stick I've ever had here. Hope I get him again
I love this location always have a good time when I come here very polite and professional, especially Christine she does a great job , plus she is fast and quick to helps me whenever I need any assistance. !
I drove all the way there just to find out that the $700+ bonus the app and website touted was only going to be $525 for 8 donations, even after I entered the promotion code they gave me. Meanwhile their competitor, CLS Plasma's app was able to walk me through the sign up process and get me pre-registered for $475 for 5 donations. Luckily, since they were at least a half hour late for my "appointment", I was able to cancel on their app and go get more more elsewhere.
I will not return to BioLife due to their lack of respect for donors? time. BioLife enforces a strict policy allowing donors to arrive only 10 minutes before or after their appointment. Any minute beyond that window results in a cancellation, and I respect the need for efficient scheduling. However, my experience shows that BioLife does not uphold the same consideration for donors. Despite having scheduled appointments, I consistently stood in line for two hours or more before being seen. This ongoing dela
I'm not one to complain and I love most of the employees here but Thursday night on September 26 from 6 pm until almost 9 was horrific. The wait I can deal with but the unorganization on the floor was absolutely horrible. Everyone seemed overworked and not focused at all. The new manager in the floor had no idea what was going on and none of the employees were doing what they needed to do. Not sure what was going on but this was the worst yet.
Today?s experience was pleasant as normal. Unfortunately, there was a longer line than my last visit, which caused me to spend twice as much time at today?s visit.
I usually go early in the morning to Watson Road location in Kenrick plaza. The staff here is extremely friendly and helpful. Even when it is busy, the lines usually move very quickly. I've seen some complaints and I'm going to guess it's mostly people that are "in a hurry". I would definitely recommend the Kenrick Plaza location. The staff is great.
They are very nice friendly down to earth and very helpful the best place I've been yet but I don't understand why they took more plasma then they ever have before and did not pay me more are talk to me about it because are after.
Always a great experience Jaah was awesome with my stick and any questions I had he was able to answer
Went in as a new donor today. The people were very nice and the new donor process was easy and efficient. However, once I got to an actual donation chair I had a tech come up and say she needed to check my left arm, which has a full tattoo sleeve, to see if there was any open skin to stick. When I said my right arm has plenty of open skin she told me that it's biolife?s policy that the veins on both arms must not be covered by tattoo. Nowhere on their site or in their app does it say this is a thing. The la
Thought everyone else would be at work at 8am on a Friday. Yeh not so much. Was there for 2 hours 8-10am. Staff is always calm and awesome about it though so theres that. Saw some bleeders and issues with patients but not sure thats this locations fault. Once a bleeder always a bleeder lol.
Just wanted to acknowledge an Employee you have there at the Watson location. Her name is Cam. She has been the friendliest Lead person I have ever come across. She always greets everyone with a smile on her face. Her sticks I would recommend to anyone!. Everytime I come there which is in a regular basisis for the last two years I see her running around working hard like a chicken with it's head cut off! She works hard and she always is friendly understanding and I believe she is an Asset to Bio. I am grat
Today was faster then normal but for the most part the staff is undertrained (have to get a veteran) and even once you are in the donation chair you will sit for another 45 minutes before they stick you. There has got to be a more efficient way of getting people in and out.
Everyone is very knowledgeable and kind I wish it was a little quicker to be hooked up and "unhooked " twice I waited 20 Minutes waiting for someone to unhook me. Thanks
Felt a little sketchy, the new donation promotion is very bait and switch. It only works at certain locations but they don't tell you those locations, and the locations that it applies to have no openings. You don't find out till you are in the physical that the compensation is a lot less. The employees were very polite and understanding, they were just doing their jobs. But I feel like the people making the decisions are not honest people. Will probably find a different place that is more upfront and a
Appointment time mean nothing here. I spent over 45 minutes in a line to get prescreened only to be pushed aside for new donors twice and then some other issue with questions. All while listening to the 2 employees complain about management and how they wanted to go home. Then when I asked how much longer she got rude with me and she said it's your fault where everyone could hear and was rude. Then they proceeded to complain to all other donors about me. If you don't like your job quit or be quiet.
Really friendly staff. I always feel very taken care of. Sometimes there are long wait times. But, they've just hired a lot of new staff and are going through a lot of thorough training.
It was a Great Experience and The nurses was very helpful and Polite. Nurse Name Mia..Thank You
I've been going here for the last two years but consistently since January, Bria and Andria have shown amazing hospitality anytime they're helping me. They make me feel welcome by greeting me with a smile and thoroughly walking me through each step of the screening process. The entire staff here is amazing don't get me wrong, but these two women on the forefront keep me coming back!
I completed my first month promotion and all went well. Went in to donate recently and I'm not sure what happened but they had to come by several times to adjust the needle in my veins as it said my pressure was high. Then the final time the adjustment caused blood to ooze from my arm. Which, fine. I got through it. But when it came time for saline they wanted me to switch arms to get it. I wouldn't have minded being stuck again, except when I haven't had issues the previous eight times I donated the attit
Friendly staff, smooth process. Only thing is you have to wait awhile once donation is finished for a staff member to take out needle and apply pressure dressing so you can leave.
has been a wonderful experience each & every time i walk through those doors. the girls/guys up front doing your vitals & what not are always so positive even when they are slammed & you can tell they are getting irritated. the phlebotomists in each color zone are all so wonderful & genuinely so sweet as well. i?ve never had a bad encounter in the past couple months ive been coming here. they all make sure you are super comfortable & feeling good & they constantly check in on you. definitely recommend this
I had the best experience with the staff at this location. Cam who helped me had a very kind and welcoming attitude to the clients. All the staff were amazing. Andrea is very professional in her position and i can tell they have a kind heart for what they're doing. These are the things that make people return as donors and I'm very pleased with my visit! In my opinion they all need a raise for the amount of people they are overloaded with. They handled all the pressure that came their way
The staff there are great Especially Kim and Christina they're both very polite staff best plasma place I been threw had problems at csl plasma BioLife is very professional
Location very busy. Appointment times do not make a difference. They will put you in a chair and have several others ahead of you before they get to you. Sometimes takes 10-20 minutes to have the needle removed after you are completed. If I am called to a section, the person behind me will be called to another section and get started before I start. They need better time management.
St. Louis, Mo. has some of the best techs, super pain free....over and done within 45 minutes, upon completing 2nd donation (of the week) it's usually an extra $130-40 dollars and it's a total of two hours...best pay ever & I love how the app tells you how many patients you've helped... (64 for me)
Pleasant experience with bio life. Especially with Tanika Always bright and friendly ?????? Respectfully.Bruce
It's a good plasma donation place. Straight-forward. No fluff. Yes, it takes a while, but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be. Staff are all very pleasant and always down for a good laugh with you. Be respectful toward them and they respond in kind. Simple. Also, everyone that has cannulated me has done so with precision and speed. Minimal pain. Well done, STL Bio Life! Well done! See you guys next week!
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
