Hi everyone, this is my appreciation for Robin who works the front desk at BioLife in Stevens Point. She is very pleasant ?? and when she can gets me out a little quicker when I check in even if my time is a little later saving me 5 to 15 minutes waiting. A few times that savings helped that I was done sooner and I was able to be avail for a family crisis and friend crisis. I was available to immediately go to them since I was not still donating plasma. Mucho Gracious to Robin a great employee at BioLife. G
Wonderful employees! Terrible compensation. Not at all happy with fees. No promo codes or frequency bonuses. Unbelievable how low the fees are when Takeda is making so much money! I am seriously considering an end to my donations.
I typically go to the bio life in Appleton wi. Where everyone is friendly and welcoming. I had been to this location multiple times but this time Unfortunately when I came to this location I was helped by an employee named Mary Jo who had a horrible attitude and seemed very condescending while taking my vitals. The building over all is very clean. I would just make sure to come when Mary Jo is not working.
The wait times are ridiculous. Very unnecessary. Process needs to be streamlined. I should not be waiting an hour from my appt time to get to the donation. If my appt is at 5, I should be donating shortly after. Getting to the point it isn't worth donating. Take less appointments if you don't have enough staff.
One of their employees missed my vein SIX TIMES before they switched over to my next arm and missed 3 times. After all of that they said let's call it a day. The attached picture is of my arm a week after they got done hacking it up. I've never had a problem at any other biolife centers and I've never bruised from needles ever before. Debating on if I'll ever go back to this location.
They got bigger bags in to take 25% more plasma and more time to take what they want without increasing pay to donors. The the profit per bags is $2000 to$5000. I think the least they could do is give us a 25% raise to keep donate them liquid gold. Biolife made $83mil last year up atleast 10% from the year before. Biolife do better.
Professional center where they get you in and out in a timely manner. Any employee I've dealt with has gone above and beyond and has been very courteous. Any issues I've had have been quickly resolved. They have also updated the machines, so donation time is cut in half now as well. I'm usually in and out in under an hour, but keep in mind this is based on my donation time and hook-up. Highly recommend. Good way to make some money and participate in a good cause.
I'm very happy to be able to contribute a little to the health of those who are going through difficult times today. Thanks to Biolife for their leadership and for having such professional people on staff. They are very attentive throughout the entire process. The facilities are very suitable and aseptic.
I had good experiences only complaint I have is price for giving plasma. Am glad to help but when amount changes from week to week I don't like cause I live far from center. I have to consider mileage, wear and tear on my car.Plus time I spend to go there and time spent donating.Price went from $130.00 to $115.00 so I decided to just take a break cause not worth it
Very Friendly Sp On Point, Professional, and you can tell these Employes employed by Bio Plasma, you can tell they want to be there, and they love what they do... Kudos to Bio Plasma...
Easy to do. Helps people. Gives me extra cash. The people are nice. The process is simple. Just make sure you drink lots of water before you go and dont eat 2 hours prior to donating and all will be super.
Got a long way quick in and out but the staff for me are not the nicest at times and the appointment-based thing is a joke I'll show up 5 minutes late and all sudden I'm not eligible to donate because I'm 5 minutes late other than that if you're short on cash I would recommend going but if not stay clear it's not worth your time
Have a phobia of needles but was made an offer that made me the least attempt to donating, and even with phobia they made each visit very comfortable painless and quick!
Love going here, staff are the nicest. Shout out to Anna she gave me a snack while wating ???? felt seen since I only had a quick breakfast this morning
What I've noticed lately is there are quite a few less employees working, but they still have just as many open spots for people to come through to donate. Wait lines are getting long just to get started to get your finger pricked and longer to get seated on a bed. Once seated on a bed, it takes a while to have somebody come and put the needle in you and sometimes even longer once you're finished to have someone come and take it out. If you're gonna to have less employees working then there should not be as
I was in Kalista's section when the girl next to me said she was feeling light headed. Kalista realized she was paying out and jumped right in and got the cart and some help. She stayed very calm and still maintained her section. Jake was SOOO good with the situation, had such a calming demeanor, kept good conversation going and kept the girls spirits up. Afterwards Kalista and Jake both thanked each other for the help, which is part of the reason I love this center... Everyone is so friendly.
I was checked in by AnnaLia for my donation today and she was super friendly and efficient! She stayed past when her shift was over just to help with the line of people waiting. She always seems super happy and has a beautiful smile:) Made the whole donation experience that much better!
Staff can't hit a vein... Somehow I'm getting jipped on my second donation and only making a small amount of money
I have no complaints about the staff at BioLife, or their procedures. I found them professional and friendly. HOWEVER, the prepaid card company they use for their payments does not have good customer service. You can call in, or text to check your card balance, and I am getting a different number on each. My card is regularly declined (or saying I have a remaining balance due) on transactions randomly, so using the card is a gamble, and I have been embarrassed many times. It's very frustrating to check yo
First few times went very smooth The last few have been about 20 minutes behind schedule. Last worker seemed stressed.. throwing supplies around and basically making me rather nervous about if things were correct or not!
Donation volume increased substantially, and payment amount decreased. Staff is great.
Love doing it. Easy $80 - $90 for an hour of your day when they run their promotion, but then you feel kind of Energy less the rest of the day. I keep getting referrals to do it for the $30 or $45 a day which is definitely not worth it and I never plan to do it for that little bit. Just not worth being energy less the rest of the day for that little bit of money. I can't believe anyone does. Staff is amazing and very talented.
I had a great experience. Everyone was attentive and things were clean and well run. My husband had a negative positive test for HIV. He can never give again. I think there could be a waiting period but he shouldn't be band for life for an incorrect test.
My second visit didn't go so good the person who stuck the needle in me caused some damage to both my arms don't think the person should work I did not like my second visit I wouldn't recommend donating
I had a wonderful experience today for my first time donating. I was helped by Kim, Tiffany, and Fonti. They were all extremely nice and encouraging as I went through the procedure. They communicated everything to me so there was no confusion at any point. All around was a very nice and welcoming environment!
Operator error and equipment failure. 1st donor of day needs to make sure tape isn't folded on the end. That coupled with portion of tape that is exposed to air all night caused the already not sticky enough tape to lose grip and needle popped out. In December newbie didn't set up machine correctly. Now because of both mishaps too close together I have to wait 2 months to donate.
The staff are all knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. They are thorough with explaining everything and are able to make you comfortable while you get familiar with the procedure and process. It's easy to schedule and the facility is clean. Nel is wonderful up front and Paige was able to make me feel at ease during my first appointment and follow up with me during it to make sure I was feeling ok. Everyone is great! Highly recommend the Stevens point location!
I was 5 minutes past my appointment time and BioLife employees refused to allow me to sign in. I lost out on $80.
Naulie (not sure if her spelling is correct) is one of a few that can get my poke on the first try and it runs perfectly, I'm a red stick and usally have trouble. She always asks about my day and tells me about what's new in hers. She is always friendly even when they are really busy. She's the best!
Would have left all the stars empty if I could have. This place is getting worse and worse each time I donate. I'm writing this review while waiting to be hooked up now for over 30 yes thirty minutes. They say they have new faster machines but what's the point if it takes 35 minutes to get started. The 6 workers are running their buts off trying to run only 4 sections. One employee said this is how corporate thinks it should be. Understaffed or underscheduled?? Whats the deal!! Appointment was at 1055 am
My husband and I donate twice a week at the Stevens Point location. We both are very impressed with how genuine and caring the staff are. From the time we scan in, to the time we say our final goodbyes to the floor staff, everyone is very kind, very knowledgeable and professional. Well done Stevens Point, WI
I have always had a good experience at the Stevens Point Biolife. Workers always are very pleasant and efficient. They have always apologized for any wait I have had caused by larger than expected volume of donors or unavailable bed space. The workers are always very busy and efficient
Wonderful experience!! I was a whole blood donor for years and wish I had done this sooner!!
Lucas is a hard worker. Every time I'm there he's always staying busy. It's impressive because I see others standing around chatting about personal matters while other people are running their behinds off trying to picknup the slack. It's painfully obvious who's a good worker and who only works hard when the bosses make an appearance.
I am donating plasma here, a big reason I am donating might come to a surprise, but it is to keep track of my health. My iron has notoriously been low almost all my life and BioLife pushes me to take care of myself and eat more iron rich foods and now I don't have dizzy spells. Also, BioLife has helped me with my anxiety, my heart rate skyrockets (due to my anxiety over needles) but with the staffs help I have learned to manage it. My success is the staffs success. They remember me after 4 donations and eve
Staff was very kind and informative! Professional, following procedures flawlessly. Thank you for your patience with me.
The last few times my arms were butchered. Poked at one arm and flow was slow so they messed with it. Had to switch arms so after poking me again, were gonna hook up to previous connection but took too long so line dried up. Haven't been back since. IF I GO BACK, I will choose who I want to do my draws!!!!
They have amazing people working there!! They make you feel important, explain everything thoroughly. As a Nurse, they can hit a vein better than me!!
I have always had a great experience donating at the Stevens Point BioLife location! Even when it's been busy, the workers are always kind. I've only had one issue happen while donating and Nayeli and JoAnn made me feel safe, listened to me about how I was feeling, and made sure I was okay before I left that day!
I donated for the first time yesterday and all of the staff were amazing. They were very friendly and informative. Looking forward to donating more in the future.
The donation was quick and easy. The staff was very good and courteous.
Very disappointed how something that happened when this company opened in 1999 made me permanently deferred from donating plasma at this facility, and probably others, also. It's especially disappointing to me because I was trying to do this in honor of my Mom, who died in November of 2020. She had been hospitalized many years prior and needed plasma that she received and was very thankful ?? and grateful ?? to have received ??. I have been putting off coming back here, because I thought this may happen. M
Check in lady Kira was very friendly and pleasant. Person who put my IV in I told her it was really burning, she adjusted the needle and said everything looks fine. Racheal helped problem solve and got me ice and kept a good eye on me while I was donating. Overall ok experience while donating.
The attendant put the needle in wrong and proceeded to walk away ( despite making comments that something was wrong) I had bad swelling and bruising, can't donate for a bit. Not a big deal but when talking to the nurse she didn't seem concerned about the situation despite it being an issue on their end
I really enjoy coming here to donate. There had been some staffing issues over the last couple of years but there are constants like Nayeli that keep me confident that my experience will be great and as painless as possible :-)
Love the extra cash and the employees are super friendly! Only complaint I have is when I'm honest about a change of medications I get put on a deferment with no end date. Which I understand why deferment is being done but why isn't it automatically being taken out? If I'm told my deferment will be done in 7 days then why on day 8 am I waiting for 30-50 minutes to speak to a nurse? Also when on a deferment no promotional emails get sent to you. So even if I've been done with it I get no emails because ther
They don't always pay on time. After many calls I was basically told to have patience. It's over a day and wish they went back to when they gave you cash out the door. I'm hungry! I've got a full time job but it all goes to rent. I've only donated for twenty years for food. I might be saving lives but I gotta eat too. I don't have rich parents. They made me feel bad for needing money. Suggested a job which got me angry because I often hit overtime. Bills today take it all.
Stevens Point Bio the people are patient and very nice Wausau Bio people are rude !Every single one of them. They do Not treat you with respect in fact make you feel like you are a bother to them.I will never go back to the Wausau Bio again! Thank you Stevens Point for being my hero?s!!
Unbelievable. the nurse here with blonde hair is easily without a doubt the most unprofessional, disrespectful, attitude filled nurse I've ever dealt with in my life. from the moment I walked into the office she had an issue with me. Called me a liar over and over again when I told her about what other employees were saying to me. Went as far as belittling the employees and said ?they aren't nurses though? And ?she's the only one I should take advice from.? How would I know that. They're all Biolife employe
This is more geared toward the administration of this location than the everyday staff. There is obviously not enough people working here. When I first started going it took me around an hour from the time I walked in to the time I left. Now it takes an hour to just get the needle in my arm. I really like the staff and they're usually friendly, but they seem overworked and extremely busy. It's not a matter of too many times available because it's becoming increasingly difficult to even find an appointment.
I donate for a little extra grocery money for my family of 5. The staff that gets me in the chair and out are always friendly. My negative response to doi g this is they seem to be understaffed. We are held accountable for getting to our appointments on time, but the clinic is not held accountable to keep my appointment time so I am in and out within a reasonable hour. I cannot stand in line for an hour and sit another. My work has kindly allowed me to do it during working hours but only for the hour or so.
Went in for my first ever screening absolutely the worst experience ever, first of all, before even going there I called to check the promotion that was supposedly offered. I asked how I get that because this was advertised $700.00 for 8 donations. The rep said ?we don't handle that here at all? So I politely said ?oh well I'll review it more then myself?. So I finally found out how to apply it to the account. I arrive early with all my paperwork documents, I was checked in, I then had to do a physical the
Jayden did a great job! It's been a struggle to get a good stick on my right side but she navigated it smoothly and was successful in her first attempt which helped me with a timely donation.
Need more staff or management needs to get out of there offices and get on the floor to help staff. They have faster machines but takes the same amount of time because it takes 25-30 minutes just to get sticked then you sit about 5-10 minutes to get disconnected. Wow. Come on management get out on the flooor and help your staff until you get new staff hired and trained
Would be nice if clocks were set accurately. When you rush in and you have 1 min to get logged in but can't because their clocks are set a min or 2 fast. It makes you wonder if it's worth the wasted time or gas trying to go. There are times things happen out of your control that set you back from getting there when you think you will be and your set back a couple minutes such as a medical emergency happening and you have to pull over for multiple emergency vehicles, as happened the other evening to me caus
Staff is super snotty and treats you like just another number. You have to wait 20-30 minutes past your appointment time, which is outrageous. I honestly will never go back here again, such a bad environment. I'll make sure anyone else who's interested in giving plasma goes anywhere but here.
I love donating plasma at the Steven's Point location! Everyone is very nice, they talk to you while getting you set up, ask you how you are and how your day is going. Even though they easily see hundreds of faces a day the staff remembers your name and greets you as you walk in and out. Most of the staff have been here for years. I've been coming here for about 6 or 7 years and there are alot of people still here that were here when I started. They do have new employees often as well but most likely becaus
I am always impressed with the level of professionalism at the Stevens Point BioLife Plasma location. Even when it's busy and things get backed up, the employees are extremely friendly. I have friends who donate in another city and they don't always have the same experience.
Staff is well trained and very kind. I enjoy donating. Super positive experience!!!
It was busy. They had to open another section but staff was nice, efficient, and worked as quickly as possible like they always do. This facility and their staff do a PHENOMENAL job always.
The staff is amazing!!!! However with BioLife wanting to get more donations per day and opened up more appointments available has caused the time I walk in the door to donate and leave over 2 hours when before it was only an hour. The staff is exhausted and moving as fast as they can. This has been extremely frustrating!
Today was a perfect reminder on why I switched to Bio-Mat in Appleton. I received A 600$ Bonus in my email so I figured I'd come back and give this place a second chance. I've never seen a place so disorganized and unhelpful. I scheduled my appointment yesterday morning (so this center has had more than enough time to warn me or have the app give me a warning or something) I arrived today and get settled in but the computer prompts that I need to do a physical again. Hasn't been six months, so I didn't need
Staff is great. People who donate regularly do not get very good pay outs. People that only donate here n there really get the best money
My experience with biolife plasma has been great. The girl who put the needle in my arm was gentle, caring, and sweet. I didn't even feel the needle go into my arm, which is great. All the staff are kind and friendly. I always feel welcome from the first temperture check to the end of the donation. Thanks....
A very friendly and professional staff. I'm able to come in and donate with no issues on a regular basis. I appreciate the work everyone does especially when it gets extremely busy for the employees. Keep up the great work!
Great people working for a good cause and you make a little money!!!! Staff greet you and are friendly upon arrival. Professionalism and policy are at the forefront of contact. If there is a problem, you are given a clear explanation, but ultimately staff are there to ensure you have a positive experience through your donation.
Very friendly, clean and orderly. Easy to set up appointments. Hope my arm holds out after 2 bruised and sore IV area afterwards.
Great place, all the workers are so awesome. They talk to you. They get to know you and you get to know them. They are always so helpful. I have never had a problem or felt that there was something wrong. Been donating for a while . It seems almost every month I have a extra promotion to get more money. Which is always great.
Experience has been very good. Just don't understand why I get offered $120 weeks I don't sign up and can't make it but it lowers on the weeks I am scheduled.
I love donating, in the Stevens Point location. I'm not there only for the cause. But for the friendly smiles and professionalism they each show.
Friendly and fast service. If there is a line after the questionnaire they've got 4+ people working to make sure there won't be. AnnaLia is a comedian and always there to start you're experience off right. The whole staff is caring and always attentive. Great experience and an easy way to help others.
Only expect the twenty dollar first donation. They are booked over a week in advance. I wish they would even out the two week payments or at least allow donors to schedule their second appointment or even stop the requirement of it being in the same week. I know everyone's struggling with rent and food. My full time job doesn't cover mine anymore. Even the coupon I've been using is useless. It's impossible to donate as often as you have to, to have the coupon honored. Friendly staff though.
Thought I was going a positive thing by making the decision to start donating for a great cause. Made my account, set up an appointment, and met with the nurse. The staff was BEYOND rude, did not make me feel welcomed and then told me I can't donate because of tattoos on my arms. They never once checked for veins in the spots on my inner elbow where I am NOT tattooed. I was told it's is not going to work and that was it. No thank you, no appreciation, NOTHING! I called the company and spoke with a nurse. Sh
Medical staff was extremely nice. Very standard process of going through each step by step procedure. Bio life was very clean.
Every time I have been in Stevens Point BioLife I have been treated with great customer service! The staff is very educated and informed on their jobs and do very thorough work. They are always thankful and make me feel welcomed. Highly recommend!
The staff is friendly and want to ensure that you are comfortable while you are donating plasma. They work hard to make sure that everyone that comes to donate has the best donation without any problems..
The staff is friendly nice they are their when u have a question. I enjoy this location over the other locations. Yes sometimes I have to wait but I don't mind cause like any other job u guys get busy.
The staff is very friendly and competent, especially Lucas who helped me with my donation today. Highly recommend this location
I have been trying to donate well over a month at the Stevens Point location. I have become extremely frustrated. They have held back information as to what is required for me to do. Everytime I have done what they ask and go there to donate they say their is another hoop to jump. I have driven 74 miles round trip three times and have yet to donate. I called after the second time and was told I would be good to go! Lies. I am trying to do a good thing but they have made it impossible. I am hopeful that I
The staff here is always so friendly. Everyone does their jobs well. It is so organized. I enjoy coming and enjoy the payments I receive for donating. I also feel good about helping others that need it. I would definitely recommend it.
I had a wonderful time here quick, and easy. The questionnaire went super quickly. Today I had several air bubbles during my process, but they fixed them all right away. Another time was when I had terrible tubing, and they couldn't collect all of the plasma they needed. So, they let me go early, gave me some water, and made sure I was good to go before I went back to my classes.
Let me just put out there, I come here to donate purely for the cause-- the money is just a bonus. My husband has leukemia & there are a lot of individuals in his same situation that need white blood cells to survive...I came back to BioLife a couple of months ago for this reason as a "lapsed donor." During this time I've had some very pleasant and very UNPLEASANT experiences here. After my mistreatment here today I will hesitate to return to this center or any center under the same name. I would like to t
Polite, easy process to donate and all that. Remember its your plasma that creates antibodies and protects you from infection so just keep that in mind when donating during the flu season. Good place to make a little extra money for groceries or whatever. Their app is also pretty helpful and makes scheduling appointments easy
I've donated here for the last two years and a cumulative total of five years or so. I've never had a single problem. Everyone is friendly and professional. I love it. Negative reviews shouldn't be ignored, but they should be taken with a grain of salt. Everyone's physiology is different, and some people just get unlucky.
Wish I could give them 0 stars. Got permanently deferred because of my tattoo which I told them about and had gotten 2 years before I started donating. Nurse didn't document it and then like after a year of donating they noticed it and permanently deferred me. Extremely disappointed with this place for their lack of professionalism and lack of accurate records. All the phlebotomists were great and friendly. Nurse I talked to on the phone laughed because I'm deferred and said it's my fault the nurse didn't
Been donating blood most of my life and I have never looked like this afterwards
I have had a few adverse draws here but lately they have been going smoothly. Staff here are usually quite friendly and polite.
Great staff. Very friendly, wait times are reasonable (really just depends on the day and time and their staffing). Overall very organized.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
