Reviews Summary

The reviews show mixed experiences at BioLife. Positive feedback highlights friendly, professional staff and efficient processes, with some donors completing visits in under an hour. However, many report long wait times (often 2-4 hours), understaffing, and inconsistent management. Several complain about unprofessional or rude behavior, particularly from phlebotomists, leading to poor donation experiences or deferrals. Compensation issues and misleading promises are also mentioned. Cleanliness is praised, but the environment is often described as joyless or stressful. Early appointments are recommended to avoid delays.

Posting this in hopes someone from the company will contact me. Would be five stars really if not for one of the guys that works here. I do not believe the man that poked me should be working here anymore. He does not know how to properly stick someone without blowing a vein which mine are easy to find and without giving me a giant bruise.

I came in to donate blood with good intentions, even though I was feeling nervous. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply unsettling due to how one of the staff members handled my concerns and boundaries. When I saw the needle and asked if that was the one being used, the staff member whispered ?yes? and began moving it toward my arm. I asked if it would hurt, and he quietly said ?um, no? without much confidence and full of hesitation answering, which didn't reassure me. I then clearly said ?wait,? but he

I'm not sure what this is all about. I would like someone to come forward and give me some assistance. I've made 4 donations so far without any problems with that. I donated last Sunday a week ago with no problems. Only the female that checked my vitals and finger stick was horribly rude to me for no apparent reason. When she asked for me to show my arms and elbows, I held my arms up the same that I always do she snapped at we raising her voice so loud that everyone in the line behind me heard her so much i

If I could give 0 stars I would.. scheduled an appointment for 6 PM, left work early to ensure I would not be late. Only to get there 20 minutes early and be told that they are cancelling all appointments for the remainder of the day. Didn't even have the courtesy to call beforehand, let alone apologize for the inconvenience. Mind you this was my first visit.

Fair warning you will be here longer than 2 hours if you are new or returning with a physical. They don't follow the line when sticking donors and generally need more staff to handle the volume.i was a return with physical and it took over 3 hours. Update: Came today to do my second donation and after wasting gas and a 20 minute drive was told they just aren't taking their appointments today ???????

The nurse makes it very difficult to remain a steady donar. My pulse was just a beat too fast about 3 times and was immediately sent to the nurse on location. She hands me a sheet she wants a doctor to fill out before I could return to donate. As if I have a paid doctor who is willing to monitor and record my heart rate. I have no one who is willing to do that, not with the medical resources I currently I have. I also have a friend who was deferred from donating here forever because his veins were too d

The staff were pleasant, calm, and informative. They walked me through every step of the process. When I started feeling dizzy during the process, the staff took care of me and made sure I was healthy and back on my feet. I felt very cared for, which is important to me since this was my first time donating plasma.

I went 4 times. The first 3 were good, however, the last time I went I received a call while doing my questionnaire saying my appointment would be cancelled due to short staffing. Once the woman I was speaking with over the phone realized I was already there she said I could keep my appointment. Later, I overhead who I assume to be the woman I spoke with tell a coworker she called the rest of the patients and cancelled so they could leave early. My appointment was at 5:45, they close at 7. While actually do

Showed up for appointment, signed in, sent back to nurse, asked when I ate and what, told I ate 3 hours ago and ate what they recommended in their emails... Alas, was told I was supposed to eat an hour before coming... No where in emails did it state the eating timeframe, hence had to reschedule... I may change this rating when I go to next scheduled appointment, we'll see... Please check out the pix I posted with foods to eat ONE hour before arriving!

2/14/2025 Edit to add @5:00 Little Bre the assistant and Mel was running the donor section alone very well and Gerald was holding down the Vitals... Sad my husband was differed due to he had 1 successful donation out of 3 visits.. The 1st one his blood clotted in the line due to the phlebotomist was fishing around his arm and he had to wait on another phlebotomist to get it and by the time someone was able the line was clotted. 2nd attempt was successful donation. 3rd they tried both arms and said they c

Every appointment takes hours bc they are severely understaffed!Appointment was at 10am. Took 2 hours to get needle in my arm. Only 2 people to draw blood for 20 people. Felt so sorry for staff. Ridiculous!!!!

My daughter donated plasma there last October, she passed out, they gave her nothing, no water, drink, crackers, or anything. When she passed out again they made her be transported to the hospital when all she needed was fluids. It's almost like they had no experience.

Today was one of the worst days for this place, my appt was at 1130am,I was there for 3hrs in line (the second line) not even getting stabbed yet. you guys don't have the staff for the amount of ppl that come, block times so you can have enough ppl to staff ratio. Thank you do better.

I donated here quite frequently until yesterday. Inexperienced phlebotomist stuck me my past 2 donations here. They deferred me. There were 2 other people stuck by the same phlebotomist and they 2 had to come off and not finish donating. It's one thing to have your vein blown bilateral arms, but it's a whole different level of disrespect to have to go through this and not get compensated. I have yet to get my pay. I donated 36 hours ago. I was told upon leaving the center my funds would be available to me w

Drove an hour away to get here, waited and did all the tests required. When I went to the floor to donate, they told me since I didn't have two large veins on both arms that I couldn't donate. So I am wasting 3 hours of my life to try and get some money. This place is a complete joke, I've donated plasma a dozen times in TN and never had an issue. This place is a joke. Save your time

It all great when you first join biolife with its pay for plasma, even getting in and out within an hour.but after the month of new membership the price per donation drops dramatically and your lucky to even be seated within an hour. And some days youll be lucky to get a phlyabotamis that doesn't have to play fish with your vein or have to stick with arms because the first time they couldnt do the stick right. And because of their mistakes get told you have to wait 2 weeks before returning. So Be sure to ac

Horrible customer service when asked to speak to the manager about an employee that was rude During my first donation. I asked for names in order to contact HR to have something done about the situation and was told no because they didn't feel like it from the manager. The manager was a male and he did not handle the situation appropriately nor did he try to alleviate any of the issues that were experiencing during the first donation. I asked for help being unhooked when I was finished with my donation and

I scheduled an appointment for a 1st time donation on a Saturday at 9AM the week prior to Christmas. I come into the facility and was soundly ignored for several minutes while standing at the front counter despite several employees looking directly at me. I rang the service bell and someone begrudgingly came to help me. She inquired about what I ate for breakfast and, in a bit of annoyance I said, ?I don't remember.? I went to see the nurse and was trying to recount what I ate for breakfast and, without l

Always has A line when you come because of staff Be prepared to spend 3 hours on your average donation

Everybody very helpful everything went very smoothly.iwas In and out quickly with no problems. It was a good

King is a outstanding employee, one of the best employees at BioLife. VI is awesome she always does her best and has great customer service!!!!!!, Millie is always respectful and treats you like you matter...Desiree is great and resourceful! Brianna is great she gets on the floor with her staff to help!

I really wanna like this place, the staff is very friendly and they get you in and out. My only complaint is if both my arms are green which mean good, then why 75% of my visits end with me not being able to donate from either arm, and getting bruised to the point I can't even try to donate. I've donated at another place and didn't have near as much issues with being stuck with a needle, not saying it's any particular person, but if both my arms are good, why can't I successfully donate here. And then get t

I moved here from Iowa and I can say this is the slowest plasma center witch is good cause the donations are fast only issue is they are understaffed I would try to come in the morning to hurry up and get up outta there I'm rocking with it ??we locked in BioLife ??

The place is exceptionally clean. The staff do their job methodically Although it is a joyless environment. Not one of them ever smiles at any guests. For a place that saves lives, I would think they'd be more excited when we walk in the door And heads up if you are donating: Once you walk in the door, you cannot leave . If you do leave , You are considered violated and unable to donate. All your time getting there, all your resources and plans are irrelevant. I understand they have to protect the recipie

Experience was very good. Streamlines process, first visit physical and stuff took a while, but you could tell they moved you through all the steps to make sure you were healthy and able before starting, then donating was comfortable and clear.

I took time off work to come to my scheduled appointment as a first time client. I took the required documentation with me. I ate a proper meal at lunchtime filled with protein. I walked in the door and was quickly dismissed because I didn't eat in the last 2 hours. For context, my appointment was at 4.45 and I last ate at 1.30. The person who greeted me asked me when I last ate and I told him. He quickly handed back my paperwork and dismissed me. As a first time client my first impression is that I would n

Most staff members are friendly, and very pleasant, allowing for a pleasant experience. Customer service is key, in all work place environments, and it would be a more pleasant experience, especially for new donors, if this was standard, across the board. The points system could be a little bit better, if donors could receive more money for their points.

Been in multiple times to try to donate.there's like two nice employees in the whole building. I've been in multiple times trying to donate and at least three times I've stood there anywhere from 9 minutes to 15 minutes because I timed it with five employees in front of me that never even acknowledged me. 90% of staff seems to be very unhappy and very unpleasant. I know it's not a pleasant job. But people that are donating are going through things too You don't have to be impolite

I would just like for ANYONE to answer the phone. I have left countless messages for medical for over a month. I had one person answer and take my question and would have ?the doctor? return my call. Shockingly still no call.

This place is really hit or miss. Recently they have become aggressive with asking people for reviews on google, often asking them to scan a QR code in front of them to take the review right then and there. I think the staff is grouped into two categories: apathetic or kind but quiet. If you're nice to the staff they are usually very nice back. It can take a couple of tries before you actually become a donor based on what you ate, your blood pressure or responses on your questionnaire. Patience and persiste

It's super clean and well organized. The staff work hard to get you in and out as quickly as they can, and plenty of them are fun to talk to. Mrs. Millie, Kin, and Vi are my favorites and are always awesome!

This is the worst place that I have donated at. For being a clean facility, it has a very negative environment which is worsened by the management, the wait time is worse than other places, and most of the employees are very rude to the clients. I showed up to an appointment was forced to reschedule because they weren't taking any more clients that day despite being on time and being on the schedule. I was not compensated on later visits for the inconvenience as promised. When I brought it to the managers a

Their nurses are rude and inconsistent with what's acceptable for meals and what's not. I have been here about a year and have had no issues with the meals I report and today all of a sudden it wasn't acceptable. I eat the same thing every single day and now it's not enough? It's a mix for the rest of the staff. Today I had a really nice front desk person trying to help me after my terrible nurse experience. The only reason I'm going to give it one more chance. The wait times are inconsistent. Sometimes q

Loved the actual place, the machines are nicer than other places, the wait was less than half what I have waited at others. But the female staff are not really friendly. Well not 2 of the 3 females I had. 1 I couldn't hear anything she said and kept having to ask her to repeat herself and the one who stuck me intimidated me or tried to but she was rude in general. I noticed it was just to me though....I was the only white person, thankfully she went to lunch and I got a guy next. But way better than csl or gri

They were polite and professional from the time you walk in to do the intake process to the physical examination and finally to the plasma floor the staff made me feel comfortable, and the manager was actively engaging. I was kind of nervous given the reviews on google, but I went in there on a less busy day as a first time donor did a physical donated plasma and got paid in a 2 hour period.

Staff is very friendly and always does their best to make it a positive experience. The efficiency has been better the last few times I went. Kin was especially very helpful when doing the pre work and go us in and out.

Traumatized. It was really nice until we had to get our blood pulled. Only one person on the staff seemed to know what they were doing and three people had problems with their injection site leaving one patient with blood all over the seat and herself and the rest with hemophilias. They just left her there until she had to call someone over and get the blood up, they were rude and honestly pretty clueless bedsides Brandon, he was awesome and seemed to be the only person who knew what he was doing. I was so

Such a friendly group of workers! You can tell they love their job. Also this was an easy experience, definitely will donate again!

I was promised a coupon of $20 for my first two visits I received one but,I donated yesterday and didn't receive my second coupon

I use my app to schedule a appointment time and date. When I arrived for some reason I was not listed on the schedule for that particular time and date. The manager that was there at that time made it possible for me to donate even though the technology said no. That is why I am very satisfied because technology isn't always correct.

Out of the 3 plasma centers in town this is by far the worst I've been to. Make an appointment and you have to be there within 10 minutes of that appointment time, but are then expected to stand in line for another 2-4 hours after your appointment time. The entire time your watching new donors cut to the front of the line that arrived hours after you. While watching the staff do the least operating 1/3rd of the available machines in the building. Place is an absolute joke. And don't question it at all becau

BioLife will lie and only give you half of what is promised, they do not honor their advertisement. It's disappointing thinking your getting paid 1 thing to receive a little

The people are very helpful and good at making you feel comfortable. My first time doing this I was very nervous and the team made me feel like I've been here many times. Customer service and services are excellent.

I was permanently deferred because the new plebotomist poked me directly from the side and messed up the poke so badly I started to get body shakes and sweating. They even let me donate again after that only to tell me the next time I come in that I was deferred permanently because of their employees actions

This my second review and final time going there they truly take advantage of people non need of money the last time I was there this guy left my arm bruised and bleeding onto the floor for 5 min until someone finally came to stop the bleeding. The second and final time spent 5 hours just with signing up and registration and only got 40 called left 3 voicemails and went to the main site to put I a contact request that was over a week ago. If I called no answer or I get hung up on.!!!

Fast service, clean facility friendly staff. According to the BioLife website: "We recommend eating a high-protein meal within three hours of your donation (think lean meat, bread, cereals, or fruits)." I don't know why the are constantly turning away people telling them it is one hour.

Dylan is an amazing tech! He always is so polite and making sure I'm okay and for someone who has been getting blood work done since I was a child he gives the best sticks I've had at the center! Keshawn is also super efficient and thorough every time he does my check in and polite as well. The center is always super clean and they handle things as fast as they can with what can sometimes be a tedious process :)

I visited BioLife to donate and was told my blood pressure was low and pulse was high. I waited and checked it again and they said my blood pressure was still low and pulse was normal. They never offered me any snack or Gatorade and sent me out the door. The supervisor and a staff member kept saying that the computer was messing up and they said I hope no one can get through the questions so we can get off. Very unprofessional. If something happened to me leaving due to my blood pressure being low then it w

Biolife is a much better experience than the other local plasma donation center. The site is clean, majority of the staff are friendly and greet you with a smile and how are you? However, today... upon completing my donation, myself and a couple other donors were waiting a really long time to be taken down. A couple other workers noticed the floater was no where to be found and over hearing how they were talking this isnt abnormal. myself as well as the woman next to me had been waiting maybe 15 minutes t

Absolutely terrible. Tried signing up online, but always trouble with the app. Went to first interview, had to reschedule for another day. Come again, wasn't able to give because nurse claimed she heard a wheezing coming from my lungs. Went to the ER where they found NO wheezing. Clear as a bell. And nothing wrong with my health. But as a result from BioLife, I am not able to give plasma at any other center for the next 2 weeks. BioLife is a joke. I've spent over 4 hours and now 200$ because I was trying t

I love this facility! Everyone is always so pleasant, patient and friendly. Really nice staff!

I've never had an issue with donating plasma at this location before, but it seems they've become stingy and discriminatory against who they allow to donate. I scheduled an appt online and drove 20 mins across town to make it to my appt with 10 mins to spare. I tried to use my fingerprint to sign in, but being that I hadn't been there for months I had to sign in as a new donor and take a physical. Before I could even get to the physical part, I was transferred from the waiting area to the donor check in are

This place is ridiculous. You're forced to make an appointment so if you have a wishy-washy schedule and you're one minute late then you're screwed out of your second donation, because it's virtually impossible to get another appointment in the same week. Especially now that they've decided to close one more day of the week. Your second donation is the only way that you can make any money donating

Every time I go there, I'm being told of how understaffed they are, and their lines are always wrapped around the inside of the building. What should be an hour or two, for donation, usually ends up taking about four hours every single time. Over the past year that I've been going there, they have lost so many people, I've lost count, but I think it's over a dozen, and I think they've only hired about two people. This place is a joke, and not worth your time, it makes more sense to go to literally any other

I had an appointment at 10:15 am today it is 12:00 and I am.still standing in line with 36 other people there is one person that is setting up machines and sticking people there are at least 15 new donars waiting to get screened and they will get to donate ahead of people that have been STANDING for hours waiting. The staff when you ask a question are so very rude a nurse Keidra I believe her name is has a extremely nasty attitude. This center needs help badly. If you can't accommodate the donors you have s

Fun and Relaxing. Sometimes they're understaffed and busy but the staff moves quickly and very friendly. Place is always clean and sanitized.

The facility is clean and the staff are friendly. The wait times are getting worse though. When this facility opened, I was in and out in just over an hour but now I am often there for 2 hours. The fix seems simple, either have more staff/machines or reduce the number of appointment times to a number the staff can handle. I would donate much more frequently if I was there for a more reasonable amount of time.

Friendly staff and wait times have dramatically improved over the past month. Pro tip: you can book up to 4 appointments at a time- get your early slots way in advance!

They refused service because of the "tattoos" I feel like they shouldn't deny service for that if you're completely healthy. Other plasma centers don't deny services because of the "tattoos" ???? should warn people before having them waste they time coming over. Advertisement or something.

this place has gone downhill since they opened bathrooms are not clean and always out of toilet paper and paper towels never enough workers The ones that are there usually talking about what they did on the weekend and aren't paying attention to the people in the beds go on long bathroom breaks with nobody upfront. Some of the ladies have attitudes at us for no reason there's only a couple of people that you can tell that really care about their jobs and do a good job. I went to Central Florida center coupl

All the staff was very nice , I already knew the wait time was going to be a little lengthy but that's because I'm a new donor but even that it wasn't bad , they constantly check up on you to make sure you're okay and doing well during your time of donation, the facility is very clean , overall my first experience was great, I will be coming back to donate.

They're the worst. They lied to me. They made me spent 3 hours this Tuesday and 2 more hours today, but I couldn't donate cz they were understaff, rude and slow. They said that they were gonna pay me double for all the inconvenience, but when I came back, they didn't. Don't come here. If only I could sue them, I definitely would.

Slimey business. My first appointment they sent me away because I ate a high protein meal but no carbs. Make sure your meal has every food group. Second appointment they rejected me because my address is a service (they could've told me this the first time around). I'm a full-time RVer. I live in several states. I'll never have a residential address. But they won't delete my photo, fingerprint, and personal info from their system. So they get to sell all my sensitive data, even though I invested my time and

Was very nice . Very informative. Very clean. Eazy extra money.

In and out took less than a hour Always very friendly staff

Last time I arrived before the doors were even open, I was turned around because I didn't have an appointment and they don't accept walk ins. Which made absolutely no sense to me because I set my appointment for today at 9:10am as a second time donor and it is currently 10:30 and I'm still waiting. It took almost 20 mins to complete the questionnaire and wait in line for my vitals because there was clearly not enough staff even though it was as only a few people in line. However everyone seemed to just be s

Very clean place... good atmosphere... But soooo SLOW! Six vitals check stations, but they deliberately only man one. Only one person two at most hooking up and unhooking donors. And they don't even use half the machines available! Takes about three hours on average! Your only making like $15 bucks an hour All in all, taking into account what the loss of vital fluids affect your body... NOT WORTH IT! Might as well just pull a few extra hours at work. PS. hey make up to $1200 per bottle. They could offer peo

Its a problem now because i cant work for 2 weeks now. My arm will never be the same and it looks extremely bruised. You dont understand the pain i go thru daily. How do you have new people that dont know how to stick. Not once but twice you guys messed up and after the fact you continue to let the new person keep blowing veins up. Its disgusting i will never go back again!!

Very fast, very clean, great music, great people. The process is smooth & everyone who works there is always in a good mood. Very gentle when they insert the needle & they check up on you to make sure everything's going well.

The waiting time has reduced a lot compared to 2023 but still there are some days where the donation takes over 2 hours. Staff are friendly and do a good job getting people in and out.

Most of the staff is friendly, Brandon and Des are always so sweet and smiling. Wait times can be a little crazy, too many people scheduled at once, but most days I'm in and out within an hour and a half.

Just left my first appt. Everyone was really nice. a little lengthy for the first visit but that's understandable, since I'm getting established. Brian, Brandon, & Stephanie were awesome. See you guys next week ??

Kin is Well it is a comfortable environment & the character of the staff members make you feel like you are somebody;+"You're helping someone else @ the same time", AMAZING

Pros - 1. Most of the staff are wonderful. Friendly and conscientious. 2. Total compensation for the week of $120 is reasonable. 3. Facility is clean and staff appear to follow sanitary/health guidelines. Cons - 1. Wait time. Unless there's a miracle and no one is there when I arrive, it's often 2 to 3 hours. It's also torture to stand in the lines for over an hour. I visited another center recently and discovered they have chairs for people who are waiting. I would suggest not scheduling as many appoint

It disheartens me to leave a negative review about this facility, especially since I am so fond of the employees that work there. But the experiences I have had the last couple of weeks have been nothing short of frustrating, confusing, and complicated. I wont get into too many details because I am not here too bash anyone or slander a facility's good reputation. Regarding some test results from a blood sample that was taken from me a few weeks ago, it has become infuriatingly impossible too not only receiv

If I could give 0 stars I would I waiting 2 hours to be sat down in the chair as a return donor in the morning. This actually happens everymorning just for them to stick me wrong and give me a hematoma. Then proceed to stick me wrong on the next arm. After that I had to wait 30 more min to leave. Now I can't come back until June. Honestly after this experience I won't come back I've been coming since they've opened and can honestly say I've been given a hematoma around 6 or 7 times. Wouldn't recommend.

New to Biolife, found the staff friendly, hardworking and kind. One exceptional standout was a young man named Brandon. professional and friendly. Honestly did not feel the needle go in when Brandon began which is not typical. Joked it was because we had the same name ?? Honorable mentional Gerald, Kevin and Nia. Focused yet friendly. Actually enjoy coming there when in Tallahassee. Good music and upbeat attitudes. This organization even brought in a generator to keep business going after the storm,

just a normal donation, everyone was very nice and professional, unfortunately there was a slight mis-stick and it led to a hematoma, which wouldn't be so bad but then 7 hours later i almost fainted, luckily i was in my house and not driving my vision blurred, i heard really loud static in my ears, i had a hot flash and my forehead was very sweaty, my neck got incredibly stiff and tight and hurt a lot, i couldn't sit up, and i almost called 911 because i thought i was going to lose consciousness i ate a b

King was very professional and kind during the check-in process. He was prompt and made the check-in painless and fast. Biolife continue the excellent service.

i?ve been going here for a few weeks now and up until today, everything was fine. i had been sitting in the lobby since 11am and the woman working the front counter, Karen, let three people go ahead of a lobby full of people who had been sitting there for hours. this Karen woman needs to be fired, i will make it the mission of the rest of my life to make sure everyone knows exactly how certain people operate. will not be back, would give less stars if i could. get rid of Karen, she's gana drag the place dow

As a first time donor, I wasn't sure what to expect but I've honestly had very positive experiences these last several weeks. The staff members are all friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. The facility is clean and orderly, and they're all so good about answering any questions you may have. Alex, one of the managers, is always super friendly. He's usually at the different stations, helping out where needed and genuinely seems to enjoy checking in with those of us donating. I highly recommend giving BioLife

The staff in Tallahassee is very professional and friendly. However, I have to say that management is lacking. I was there during a very busy time. The clinician working with me saw a manager walking by and asked him if he could please them out by disconnecting some donors. He said he couldn't and kept walking. She asked him if he would please just do 1 or 2. This is what angers me - he smiled and said he had something else to do and walked into a back room. This was followed by several of the staff -

Great Staff! Though Often Short Handed, They're Still Efficient. Also Very Friendly and Respectful.

Paige, Alexis, and Tabitha were extremely helpful with the on boarding of my first donation. This facility is a clean, well oiled machine, 2 hours from start to finish! Overall it was an enjoyable experience.

I have been a Biolife participant for a year and half. There are great staff there that lird knows they work their butts off! Amazing techs there tho are Vi, Alexa and Brandon! They know me by name and always keep me laughing

This place is starting to become a joke. Wait times can exceed 2 hours for no reason. Chairs are open and you have 5 workers sitting around talking about what they should do after work. On multiple occasions I have had 3+ workers crowd the chair I was donating on and even lean/sit on the chair while talking about attractive people while donating or what bar they want to go to. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional.

Great experience always. Had Kin take care of my vitals and was quick and professional like all others who work here.

Nurse Katie was excellent! Everyone at the service here was nice and professional, assist you with the promotional codes and help you to get your money.
