Really love the staff here. Nation (I think that's her name) and her trainee Kirra noticed an issue with my machine last time I was here and made sure to move me to a machine that was good to go, and even got me a little bonus for the delay. Very thoughtful of them! Andrea and Kayla are always kind and take good care of me as well. It's a bit of a stressful process but these employees and the care they give make it a much more pleasant experience.
Clean, nice and friendly staff. However have always had issues with length of appointments for returning donors. Even if you book an appointment, they will ignore the returning donor line for 30+ minutes at a time. Instead of 45 minutes expect to be there for 2 hours.
this place is great. super clean, all the steps move smoothly and quickly. the staff is extremely nice and helpful. Amaya is a great phlebotomist, she was quick and painless with the poke! highly recommend stopping here if you have time and need some passive cash flow! really good first time donor coupons too!
I've had a consistently positive experience at BioLife in Tukwila. I always feel safe both inside and outside the center, and I've never had any issues during my visits. The staff is professional, friendly, and great at what they do. There's one nurse in particular who always brings great energy, and many of the team members are down-to-earth and welcoming. The only thing that really gets under my skin is the lack of seat covers in the restrooms for clients. Since the facility is open to the public, it jus
I've had such great donations here, but my current donation has by far been the best. Amaya took such great care of me. She greeted me within seconds of sitting down and got me all set up in such a timely fashion! She also was so smooth with the needle!!!! I am so appreciative for her!
All in all I would highly suggest this place when it comes to donating plasma. I drive a long way to come here but it's worth the drive. The staff were great and they didn't make me feel any sort of way they were all down to earth. I really liked the nurses there too, they all are so nice and welcoming.
Everyone is always kind, cheery, and professional. I never have to wait too long to be seated and hooked up, unless there is a high volume of donors (especially on Saturday), which I can't blame the staff for. Despite my low pain tolerance, the staff is great at keeping the process as painless as possible. I have donated here over twenty times, and have not had a bad experience yet! My major advice is to stay very well hydrated before your new donor process so your veins are easy to find! It took me three t
It's clean but that's almost about it. The waits are insane most of the time and if you complain about that at all (unless you're belligerent which I wasn't ) they'll threaten to defer you for being rude. You know what? Maybe it's because you treat your employees so poorly? Short staffed, particularly in The AM, 2 people screening often and seemingly a high turnover (don't see too many who seem to stay for more than a few months). Probably pathetic starting pay doesn't help with getting more workers which m
All the staff and the nurses made my first visit stress free, comfortable, safe and fun! First visits are known to take longer with physicals and testing, so be prepared to be here longer if it's your first time. The nurses are all super sweet, especially Leanne! Thanks to the awesome team for making my first experience a great one! Definitely coming back to this location!
Do not go here very unprofessional, they are rude and won't take it if you step outside ?? which is the dumbest thing I ever heard. They make you wait 3 hours just to get your blood drawn! Then mind you that 3 hour wait is just to be seen you're still in there for another hr getting the process done! Just overall unprofessional. Not a good place to go!
I continue to go back because I like to pay it forward. I started going to this particular place because of a coworker. Then it became the staff that made me go back again, again and again! They are an extended family I didn't ask for but received with open arms! I will forever be in debt to the beautiful people that work there. Thank you for blessing me with your presence everyday I go there!
This place is ridiculous. The first thing they talked to me about was, that other donation centers are terrible. They continued to say that other donation centers are dirty. Which is not true. Ive donated at one other place and I NEVER had any problems. Every single time i walked in it was fast. My first time at biolife the needle had to be fixed because the guy who did it, didn't do it right. Machine kept making a banging sound. The second time I waited over an hour for them to tell me I cant donate becaus
My experience was actual good today because I had a nurse named Amaya who was soo welcoming and understanding. I've been coming here already for a few months now and I can say i actually enjoy donating knowing that I'll be handled with kindness and compassion. I wish every phlebotomists at the Tukwila center was as Nice.
I have been trying to get a hold of them for multiple days prior to my appointment. For some reason, all I ever get is there voicemail. Recently, I don't know why, but they blocked my number. I can't call, but anyone else I know can. They just really didn't want to respond to my messages. They act like it is impossible to use another phone, or God forbid a free Google voice number.
I was going to donate my first time, but I saw a phlebotomist hit a weed vape in her car on my way in it caught my attention because I didn't think people that donate could do drugs anyways I thought nothing of it until I saw her putting on a lab coat and sticking people. I'm good. I need the person putting a needle into my vein sober. The name tag read Rayna. I think there needs to be a surprise drug test.
I met a wonderful attendant today.AMAYA. twice the charm and the know how. Also the young lady from Germany and Mikayla.. Looking forward to the next visit.
the wait times are absolutely horrendous more often than not. the staff are usually all quite excellent but does that matter if management is putting far too many people in the building?
Donated here for the first time and then after I was done I called the prepaid card to check my balance and they never paid me. They do not answer the phone so I have no recourse to get my money. Don't waste your time
Please update website to say if you are taking medication for epilepsy that you cannot donate was turned away after waiting for 3 hours. Website also doesn't mention that you cannot donate if you are taking an inhaler please make these clear on the website so people don't waste there time.
The staff made the process of becoming a donor and donating super easy. They also made me feel cared for and appreciated during each step of my donation, answering any and all questions.
I had the fastest donation everr tooday. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I appreciate there attention to details and always making me feel comfortable. A few of my fav stickers r Nancy, Amya, Carnations, Geenesis, and the guy with the long hair in the finger sticking part.
I love the atmosphere they have there, everyone is friendly and always have smiles on their faces, and make you feel like you're at home. I would have to say it's the best place to donate plasma in King County hands down... Thank you guys for everything that ya'll do...
Horrible place! Very unorganized, unprofessional and the nurses (especially the one with the short grey hair) are extremely rude when confronting them about the procedure and hassle they make it be in order to donate. Do not recommend!!
A very clean and well run facility. A decent little side hustle if you need a little cash. Way better than CSL. The machines run faster, the associates for the most part a good and it's in a decent area so there usually isn't a bunch of junkies hanging around like CSL in Federal Way.
Great company but poor customer service in regards to the manager. I'm was kind of new and forgot to have them scan my coupon and saw the mistake the next day and ask for mgr to call me and no call ( 3 tries ) . Again good company but this guy is terrible . 4 of us left
Big shout out to Amaya at the Tukwila Center. She made my 3rd donation experience go by so smoothly and comfortably. ??
Process is quick and people are friendly. Place is always nice and clean. It's easy to schedule appointments which is a big plus for me.
They say nothing at all on their site about not permitting legally owned firearm into the establishment. Even though this is located in a high crime area. So disarm yourself and go defenseless. They do not say you are required to eat a full meal before just before donating. Just wasted three hours of public transit travel time to get here as I have no other mode of transport because Seattle has no plasma donation sites. Terrible experience and waste of my time. Couldn't recommend more against not going he
They are quick and efficient and have always done their job in being friendly kind and get the line moving.
My visit began as I was greeted and welcomed to the blood sampling station. The gentleman helping me was very kind and careful. Wonderful customer care! The remainder of my donating time was being cared for by the phlebotomy team and management when they were unavailable. The extra time they took to ensure my donation went smoothly was very comforting and reassuring. The team at the Tukwila location is absolutely amazing! Thank you all!!
I'm very happy ?? and appreciate your support and work it's lifelong success to those in need everywhere.
The employees here are genuinely kind people and very pleasant to be around. Even when everything is super busy, they keep their heads level and they get things done. Unfortunately, they all struggle with the workflow setup and software that they have to deal with to do their jobs. I have not seen any of the screens directly, but they often need another co-worker to help them out with whatever step they are on because something is wrong on the computer side, or they have to work around a "glitch" that is p
RUDE STAFF ESPECIALLY THE TWO NURSES. THEY POKED ME OVER FIVE TIMES AND BECAUSE I CRIED THE NURSE GAVE ME ATTITUDE EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THEIR FAULT. IT ALSO WAS DIRTY AND NOT CLEAN. HORRIBLE PLACE!
The place is clean, adequate parking and the staff is beyond friendly. I definitely recommend
This place used to be reputable but now it's an absolute joke. Their ?new policy? is appointment only which is fair enough but I was 13 minutes late for an appointment and was turned away despite having over 250 donations in the past. I was told they had to adhere to a strict appointment schedule because of ?capacity issues? despite the place being completely empty. Just an absolute joke of a ?new policy? and a horrible way to treat a long time donor. I've added a photo of the screening line to show you jus
For the most part it's been a positive experience. There are those days though where they'll be 10-15 people waiting in line for vitals and only one person doing the vitals. Last week it took me over 2 hours to get through from start to finish. Appeared to be short-handed took over an hour to get my vitals done then another 45 minutes waiting for a table
The needle stick was horrifically traumatic which left two contusion on my arms. During the return procedure, the blood return UNDER MY SKIN! (Not into my veins thanks to Marissa the manager)? Leaving a Tennis size knot on both arms. The and machines and management?s training are out of Date!
Loved it here!!! i?m a first time donor and they made me feel extremely comfortable. nurses were the sweetest people, i was really nervous but everyone i came across made sure to reassure me that i will be okay. my visit was about 2 hours due to them getting me in their system and my physical and stuff like that but the donation itself took about 30 minutes and i was out of there!
I have come here over 20 times to Donate Plasma and have had a good experience every time. They let you chill and relax and they are super friendly and nice here. Will keep coming back. :D
Overall, the service is great. The people there are always very kind and attentive. Lately, however it's too long of a wait time. The average appointment takes nearly 2 hours. They need to spread out the appointment times to create a more efficient process.
The staff seemed more knowledgeable than in the past and the wait time was amazing!! What every you're doing, keep doing it. The wait time was my biggest complaint in the past, and I am definitely much more likely to keep returning as long as the wait times aren't so bad. Marissa, (Manager?) is FANTASTIC! Definitely a great team? Nation, the tech that did my screening, was also super friendly! These things matter. * it would?ve been nice to get a little bonus to go back,, for returning clients otherwise it
Keelan made my appointment go by so fast??! Hes so dreamy!! (No homo)
Terrible experience. I have been here 3x to give and each time they make a difference excuse why I cannot give. I have given 12x at CSL Plasma previosuly with no issues. I wanted to take advantage of their promotion of getting paid $975 as well as distance. Don't go here. Worse place. Nurses are terrible and incompetent. Front desk staff is ok. I'll go back to CSL. Not as posh or clean looking but you will get a better experience. Trust me. UPDATE: Not sure they were able to verify that I wrote this r
Scheduling is horrible customer service horrible no people skills, I have scheduled spots never make it through. Finally got a 12 after waiting two weeks. Come in all I have is my temp taken to be told someone is sick a nurse is on lunch blah blah? I have an appt? one of these WORST scheduling systems out I do not understand why they have 4 stars.. extreme waste of time?. Again?
I have been donating for a month now and every time I come in, the staff is so kind and welcoming. The facility itself is clean and well organized with designated spaces. Before my first donation, I was really nervous about the process and the virtual tour and first appointment checklist helped me feel prepared. The staff explained every step well. During subsequent visits, the staff has shown high levels of compassion when I'm nervous during my vitals check and accommodate me with a few extra moments to ca
These guys suck. They missed my vein and injected anti-coagulant, resulting in a huge hematoma where eventually the entirety of my elbow area turned dark red/black, and I couldn't bend my arm for 2 weeks. You guys are lucky I can do my job with 1 arm otherwise it would have been a lawsuit. Retrain your techs you incompetent idiots.
Unreliable and insulting!! They reject donors for PTSD, saying the blood draw could "make me unstable" when I explicitly said that blood draws don't "make me unstable!" Absolutely unacceptable!! ??
Donating plasma at the Tukwila BioLife location was really easy. The staff is so friendly, organized and helpful and they all seemed really grateful that we were there to donate. For your first visit, plan on being there about 2.5-3 hours as it takes time to gather all of your info, have your initial blood/vitals testing, go thru the computer screening and have a physical with very caring nurses. (Bring your medication list and health history with dates of surgeries). For the actual plasma donation part, br
racist and discriminatory people. If you don't speak perfect English they won't serve you. My English isn't perfect but I understand a lot of things and they still wouldn't serve me. This place should be closed down for racial discrimination. "Maybe all the employees are of Native American descent"
All of the staff at the location are warm and welcoming. Sometimes I'm able to spark a conversation, and they remember me later as "the guy that asks about your day" and I hear about the exciting experiences of the day if it's busy. All in all, they make sure the process is safe, clean, and organized; and will check to make sure everything is running how it should
I've been going off and on for years. The team at the Tukwila location is amazing. I'd name everyone, but this review would become too long. A pleasant experience for what it is. Most people donate for the money, so I'll start there. The startup, or, your initial donations is where the best money is. The payout changes depending on supply and demand. My first month I made about $1200, but I had to donate twice a week for 6 weeks, if I remember. I also used my neice as a referral. You might even be able to
I'm a new donor having gone twice so far and a third appointment upcoming. The facility is very clean, the staff is professional and friendly, and the entire process from start to finish is very well thought out and organized. Your first visit takes a long time because of the screening process and setup, but it feels smoother and less time consuming going forward. Every person with whom I interacted was very kind and friendly. After your first appointment is complete be sure to quickly schedule upcoming app
Be prepared for long wait times. There are times I'm not able to get a second appointment, so you will have to keep checking the app for cancellations. The staff is just Ok. Also, nobody ever answers the phones.
I support what is being done here but it would be nice to know what can disqualify someone from being able to donate upfront. Maybe having the medical questionarre done prior to being able to schedule? From everything on the website and what I've read online, Type 1 Diabetics are eligible to donate as long as it's managed/under control. No where on the website does it say it's a Permanent Deferral. I drove nearly an hour to get there for a 3:40 appointment and was told during the screening with medical staf
Staff is super friendly, the facility is super clean and well taken care of.
The phlebotomists here are so nice ! Especially nani, Sean, kail, rose, and Julia !
Great people that work there. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Plus super friendly. I recommend if you want to help people and make a little money on side go to BioLife Plasma services on 180th.
Everyone there is so nice & good at what they do. The beds are comfortable & the process for me always goes smoothly. Sometimes the waiting is longer than normal on a busy day & be prepared for a 3 hour visit if it's your first time, but after the 1st it'll go a lot quicker
Everyone is friendly, the process usually has a nice flow to it, and they really care about the donors well-being.
Sharing a friends experience with this Company. They offer a coupon reward for a month. What they don't tell you is that if you get deferred for any reason, low protein etc your coupon expires and they bring you back at the $40 donation. Although the place is very clean and knowledgeable their customer service is not so good. They should be thorough with explaining how the coupon actually works. Other places have better incentives for ppl who donate for a second income as well as the better good of donating
Some days, there are long lines & everyone doing best they can. Some days the lines are shorter (first thing in the morning) & can get out after donation within an hour. Either way, the nurses and staff serving each donor usually help by being kind, friendly, and putting people at ease. Sometimes donors just need to carry more patience than others while donating and helping patients/receivers who so desperately need these plasma donations to participate in life.
Reena is awesome she is quick but safe. She gets my 5 stars for the southcenter location. Thanks for being a rock star at sticking me without issues. Amaya is great with Bedside manner approach. Nation managed to get my harder vain on try one . Superb job
Have patience for the first donation, interview, physical etc can be hard to get through if you have any of the red flag diagnosis /or history. Fun staff and professional, talented. Jasmine, Charlie, Keelan, Noni are just some of the memorable names among many more bright, efficient, friendly staff. Appointments are posted a few weeks ahead of time, earlier the better it seems for speed. Quick easy money if you have a car and don't mind needles.
Nadia is great! I had to come back and update my review! I have had the chance to be taken care of by Nadia a few times and every single time she is on it! Friendly, explains the process as we go through, communicates and aware of her surroundings and shows empathy towards them. What a wonderful person to be working here. I love when she is the one to take my vitals because I know I'm being seen with a person who cares.
Sending a positive review because I don't believe enough people take the time to send shoutouts vs complaining. I noticed on the Yelp reviews for this location there wasn't many and I truly believe people aren't praised enough about how well they are doing! I've been donating at the Tukwila location since February 2024. I used to donate in college years ago at a different company. I randomly saw an ad on social media and decided I wanted to check it out. I'm a busy working mom of 2 toddlers so I wasn't sur
The first time visit is a little longer process but I felt like the staff made it as enjoyable as possible. They are fun and light-hearted. During the first visit you have a physical/health screening and Ms. Caroline was so fun to chat with and we ended up laughing a lot - she made me feel super comfortable and relaxed. I've been back 3 more times since my first visit and everyone I've encountered has been great!
Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. I had a strange reaction and everyone tended to me quickly. They kept me and gave me food and drink until the reaction passed. I felt I was in good hands.
The wait time to even get set up on a bed is absolutely ridiculous here. I had a 3:45 appointment, was there 5 minutes early and left at 5:00 because I was still in waiting in line. 1 hr & 15 mins - for a company that requires you to set an appointment ... this is absolutely ridiculous. And that's not to actually complete the donation. That's just to get set up on a bed. It would take another 45 minutes to 75 minutes to actually complete the donation. That's a 3+ hour process for $40. My time is worth more
Some good people working here that try really hard. Sadly, it is to unorganized. I have wasted far too many hours driving to this place and going through the 'process' and be told I can't donate because they need something else. I have been donating at BioLife since 2012. Over 150 donations. Just disappointed ?? I don't blame the employees. Kudos to Nancy. She is awesome! It is a corporate thing in my opinion.
Kathy was so kind and made my first time experience great. I will continue coming back. Place is very clean too.
I've been a bio-life donor for two years now. I truly love the people that I interact with when I'm there. Even if I was to move out of the area I would still want to go there and donate! I appreciate the hard work & dedication that they give to their fellow coworkers and us as their patients. They have gone through a lot of changes in the past year and people need to have a little more patience with them. They don't want you to wait in long lines, they want you to get through as quickly as possible.
I have been so impressed by my experiences with BioLife so far. The staff are all friendly, kind, and very good at their jobs. They work efficiently and make the process clear and as comfortable as possible. The app is also easy to use, and scheduling and payment are smooth and effortless! They are short staffed, so sometimes the wait can be longer than expected, but I have learned to adjust my expectations accordingly.
Staff worked hard to make the process quick and pleasant. I felt relaxed while donating, and look forward to coming back again. The long lines never discourage me. They move at a steady pace and I usually leave in less than two hours.
They don't have enough staff for the number of appointments they schedule. Tuesdays are the worst. 2 o'clock appointment, finally seen at 315. They need to get better at seeing people on time. Staff is friendly though
The people are very nice and helpful but the rules are too strict. I was denied the opportunity to donate because my heart rate was 2 points high. I dont want to waste the time just to be denied.
The atmosphere is very upbeat. All the staff is very friendly and welcoming. I had Daniel from intake and the one that did the plasma draw. Daniel has a great attitude and though it seemed like they were short staff they all worked together and you can tell the moral is good there.....
They are happy to book. Even when closed, their automated system is in name only as the computers and people working are on two separate pages. They love being the only option so after the initial payout it's only 115$ for two donations if you're lucky enough to get an appointment & they actually be open. Also it's fairly often you will sit waiting for upwards of 20m to have the needle taken out, long after donating the actual plasma ...so nerves of steel when it comes to your own patience
I enjoy helping, but there are certain employees who literally stab you when putting the needle in your arm, which ends up bruising you. I know it can be done more gently and barely feeling, so not sure why they can.
Nancy at the front desk has been extremely helpful through this new adventure donating plasma. She is very respectful and always smiling while answering our questions and working her magic to sync up my and my husband's appointments. She has made this experience a great one :) the other staff is also very nice and talks you through everything.
Staff is severely mentally ill. Why we allow our medical professionals to practice on patients when they shouldn't be around people is beyond me. They do, however, have the good machines. Faster then other facilities from Time of poke to time of leaving. It would be the only redeeming quality if it didn't take so long to be poked in the first place. Getting the new donor money is the only reason to show up. And they only allow it once. You can't show up 6 months down the road to be a new donor again to get
Not enough appointments available. It's too difficult to get in. I don't understand it either because there's a whole half of the donation floor they never use. This is ridiculous. Hire some more people and make more appointments available. It's not complicated. The Lacey location always has gobs of appointments available, but the staff there are horribly rude so I prefer to go to the Tukwila location because at least the staff are nice and that makes a BIG difference. But, please, please fix the terrible s
Only financially beneficial for new donors. The payout is cut in half after the initial 4 donations. Otherwise, the staff is wonderful and the facility is sanitary.
Both times I've come here they turned me away because I apparently didn't drink enough water. Instead of checking if my veins were big enough first, they waste an hour of my time with questionnaires and sign in procedure exacerbated by the fact that they're understaffed. Bad enough that it already takes an hour to get here. Fix your damn appointment process.
I came for my annual physical and I actually got stuck in the nurses office for quite sometime due to technical issues (My account kept trying to defer me unnecessarily). The nurse was very kind and it became a whole team effort to get it resolved. After working with 4-5 people who were also very nice, it was fixed and everything else ran super smooth.
I am a Disabled Veteran. Decided to try donating on a whim, only to be told that PTSD was a disqualifying condition, even though I never required treatment or medication for it, and have been fine with it for 15 years. My mistake for admitting it voluntarily on the questionnaire. Was told I could be qualified if a Mental Health Professional was willing to attest that I could sit for an hour in a noisy room without freaking out... which was insulting, but I made an appointment and got a LMHP to attest to
I've been to the other two competitors in the area, this company is fairly new. When I first visited the staff were VERY polite and professional. They also offer one of the best incentive programs I've seen yet. I did run into complications at first and it was very discouraging. However, after requesting to speak with a member of management (Luke) he was extremely polite and understood my concerns and worked diligently to rectify the issues. Even a new company has some kinks to workout. With respectful comm
Everyone I encountered was so nice and treated me with such kindness and professionalism. It was my first visit and they made sure I understood everything! Excellent staff!
I was treated much better at this donation center than at CSL. The people were faster and more efficient. I've seen a lot of complaints about the wait times, but when there's a long line of people in front of you, don't expect immediate service. Be patient and you'll be seen and treated well. Overall, the phlebotomists seem quite competent and they get the job done with less discomfort. I'd recommend this location to anyone who wishes to donate.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
