BioLife Plasma Services Villa Park, IL

While the people are very nice and attentive while at the facility, they are horrible to communicate with remotely. I have called the facility perhaps 10 times over the 2.5 years I've been donating, and they have *never* answered the phone. I've always had to leave a voicemail. It invariably takes them days to get back to me, if they get back to me at all. For example, I left a message last Saturday morning and they have never gotten back to me, even though I made a follow-up call on the following Wednesday

Staff are awesome and great what they do. My issue is with the system. I don't understand the point of taking appointments if the plan is to stuff everybody in. The threshold to sign up for a time should be a lot less to combat this. If I roll in at my scheduled time and see a line wrapping around the building, I leave and take the week off. Again, staff are doing all they can, I've seen them rock through those people fairly quickly considering. But the extra hour of waiting makes the donation a lot less

I've been donating plasma at the Villa Park BioLife location for several years now, and am generally happy with my donation process. Everyone is friendly, the staff is very attentive, and the managers always present, on task making sure everything runs smoothly. I particularly enjoy the earlier donation times, which have been adopted recently. Excellent place. The staff is all great and they are definitely efficient. I've never had a wait and every associate that I've worked with has, been friendly, knowledgeable and extremely kind. Even though they are very busy, almost every associate takes the time to say hello. Highly recommended.

Workers are always too busy standing around talking about non related work things while people are waiting to be taken off. Days when they are short staffed is worse. Sometimes it takes 20-30 mins because they are just having conversations. I've donated 5 times now and it's extremely worth it when promotions are going on. Staff is extremely kind and friendly, and professional as well. While there's always a wait, it's not bad at all if you don't go at peak times. Money is instantly loaded every time, and they detail what happens with your plasma on the app so you know it's going to a good place.

I am one to roll with the punches and not cause a fuss over something minute. Everyone is just trying to do their job after all. But this process has been frustrating to say the least. I have tried to donate plasma for over a year between 2 different locations and was constantly deferred or told to come back due to low levels of iron or whatnot (and then having to wait hours to get through the physical only to be told to come back again). The wait times really are outrageous - all the reviews are right! Needed my physical and waited over an hour and there were still 5 people ahead of me. Love the staff, but they are very understaffed! In line for 30 minutes with only 3 people in front of me. Still in line!!! They need to manage the front better (more people processing).

There are never enough employees working here. They accept walk ins so your appointment time is meaningless. Be prepared to wait in line for a tech to check your vitals for about 40 minutes. Then you get to stand in another line for a bed, about another half hour. Once you finally get called over to a section, they will tell you to go sit somewhere else so they can stick the arm you want, but they will forget you're over there waiting for another half hour or so. How BioLife is losing dedicated and responsible donors. Today we came to donate blood for the fourth time, my husband for the second time. But unfortunately, the 50 minutes spent driving to the center and 45 minutes inside were wasted. Today we found out that you can't use a translator when answering the questions in the questionnaire. I just donated yesterday, all the staff was very nice and very informative and professional. I really like the the nurse Tania, she very professional and kind. I also like the phlebotomists Kirsten and the other lady with glasses (Cannot remember her name) they were very patient with me and always made sure to check on me to see if I'm alright. Also I love the supervisor of the villa park location, she has a great sense of humor and was also very kind and informative as well.

Maritza at the front is great and polite. Liz is the best at sticking. It doesn't hurt and the site of injection heals nicely. She's also very nice and always has a smile on her face. Sometimes it's very busy and it seems like they are short staffed. Even then, the staff is great.

The best location in the suburbs. Bolingbrook and Addison normally have waits after checking in, but this center runs great. Donna is the absolute best. She keeps the donations moving quickly, has the employees work efficiently, and has the best customer service! She truly deserves a raise with the way she runs the place. This is the only location I go to now even though the other ones are closer.

This place is SO good. They are amazing about not overbooking and when there are long lines (not often) they are great about getting the nurses and technicians to the computers to get people tested and signed in. The staff is very attentive when you're there in person. However, it's impossible to reach anyone by phone if you have an issue/concern. That is disturbing. I realize they are very busy there. Perhaps they should consider getting an answering service or a dedicated call center. I've been going for a few years now, and these guys are very good at what they do. Everyone is so friendly, professional, and patient; it makes the donation process very pleasant. It's truly a "gold standard" example of how things should be done. Literally everyone here is "good people." The whole crew is first class, and a special "hat tip" to the beautiful and lovely Dania for putting up with my late appointments all the time!

You would think all employees would be medically trained here but they arnt. More then half the people can't even put a blood pressure cuff on right. First reading bp 109/80 pulse 106. I could tell the cuff was on wrong, attendant just shrugs it off. Second reading (cuff feels lose again) Bp 89/60 pulse 86. That's a very dramatic drop for BP (ER WORTHY). The nurse checks it for 3rd time, pulse 86 and bp is 109/80. So I'm not able to donate because the original worker dosen't know how to put on a cuff.... le

The entire staff is always welcoming and on point. I can't speak on anyone else?s experiences but my usual time of signing in, getting screened and being assigned to a bed to donate is all within 15 minutes. I usually complete my actual donation within wihin 45-50 minutes and I get taken care of immediately. I love Donna she's an awesome floor manager. Nancy is really nice as well.

The first experience and intake was rough, but it's gotten progressively better with each visit. The techs have all been wonderful, and the supervisor Donna has been very responsive. They could use some better support or tools to streamline the process, particularly for incoming donors.

The Villa Park location is on point. Always fast, and the staff really seem competent and like they care. This location isn't too cold either, making the whole experience even more comfortable. The care is consistent and professional. They even remember people's names and which arm they prefer!

I usually always come to this location when I'm donating because the staff are friendly and professional. They never give me and trouble and the process is usually a quick one. HORRIBLE. Went two days ago to donate and the lady sticking me missed then moved the needle around to get my vein. She got in but a little after it was painful. I informed her and she told me she just had to move it again. so she did. it felt better for a little bit until my arm felt like my veins were blowing up like a balloon I brought it up again and the lady that attended me lowered the volume or the saline and told me that should work. I have been donating since 2019 and these marks on me have been there since I turned 18. Im now 25 and it's apparent that now I'm DEFFERED from the program. BioLife has gone down hill. I have NEVER had a problem with them til today and I will NEVER COME BACK! I will also make sure to get some other doctors advice on the matter because I've seen plenty of doctors who have never had a concern about my arms. Goodbye BioLife! Nice knowing ya!

First time donating. Everyone was kind, friendly, knowledgeable and explained everything so clearly. Donna was extra nice and relatable, she was busy and still stopped to explain things kindly. David was very informative with the process, and the procedure was simple, sanitary, and easy. Everyone I encountered was overall great. Will be going back.

I gotta give good rating cuz it was a good experience even though I was not qualified to donate for medical reasons. The staff here are friendly. They explain the process very well going thru the procedure. Early in the morning it is not so busy. Upon entering the front door, there is no line like many other reviews suggest. This was my first donation. Everyone at the Villa Park office was very friendly, patient, professional and concerned. They took the time to explain everything and checked up on me often. They made sure that I had enough to eat. The facility was extremely clean. My nurse, Bon was awesome. My second donation at the Harwood Heights office was a nightmare. I will be driving the extra 10 miles to go back to Villa Park.

I have now done 5 donations and the experience is the same each time - The staff is so helpful, attentive & quick and the center at Villa Park is very well managed and very clean! The first time to donate, they basically take you by the hand and walk you through each step so you really don't even have any questions or concerns! Payouts are immediate on a debit card too! They never answer phones or return calls. The staff walks around talking and flirting. I went 4 times and been turned away 3 times. The 1 time I sat in the chair the lady missed the vein and blamed me for having "shallow veins". I've donated at other places plenty of times. I think they flagged me as needing blood work done instead of admitting their mistake. Seems like they just want a check. I got an email saying I'm good to donate just to arrive and be turned away. Unprofessional.

I have been coming here for a year now and it is hands down the best service. They get you right in and right out. Donna is one of my favorites, she's a kind spirit very funny and she keeps everything in order. I definitely recommend this facility.

They claim to not have saline and it's ?a shortage across the country.? I have physically been to other corporations and have always gotten saline after my donation. The Powerade and goldfish are just a way the company saves money. Ask the manager with his fresh Jordans on where the money goes, it certainly was his matching outfit. Ask him where he got his psycho bunny shirt let alone how much it costs. This company is a joke and you are better off donating elsewhere. Delay Deny Depose!

I've donated I believe 6 times so far. I honestly love how quick and clean it is here. My last time the sweet lady gave me a coupon (extra $$) because I waited a little too long to get poked! I wish they offered this to my boyfriend who got his vein infiltrated. His arm is very bruised and it took them forever to get him disconnected. Went for my third donation, and the phlebotomist was not able to draw blood when she stuck the needle in, nothing came out. She called two other phlebotomists to help and they were each poking at my arm, trying to get the blood to come out. Very painful experience. Now I am left with bruises on each arm.

If I could give this place a zero I would the staff is supper slow tI had a appointment at 12 didn't get seen until 2pm if yu need extra money avoid this location

It was my first visit and they clearly forgot about me. After 1 hour and a half stuck on the machine one of the 3 people on the floor with no supervisor in site noticed and took me off the machine.

I guess I'm one of those people where the technicians had trouble locating a vein. The LabCorp phlebotomists at my doctors office have never had a problem though. I personally never had any issues with blood draws until BioLife. Two instances of not completely finishing the plasma donation process, made me ineligible for future donations. Zack in the front is pretty quick plus if your nervous conversation helps a lot to bring you to relax mode.Staff has been great the process is pretty quick waiting to be seated is close to zero waiting time. I'm 27 and I've been donating plasma on and off at 3 different locations until now. This is the 4th plasma center I've donated with and they have been by far, the most organized, clean, and streamlined environment to go through the process. Today was supposed to be my first time at this location as a returning donor and it ended before even starting. I came in today to see if they had any appointments available since my app wasn't letting me log in. I stood there for 10 minutes waiting for someone to assist me. And when they finally came they had a horrible attitude and told me I would have to make the appointment on the app. I tried explaining to her that I wasn't able to log in. But she kept cutting me off with her nasty attitude. The phone
