Came in for donation and this is the job that was done and mid way between almost being done the machine is having a problem so the supervisor comes to check my machine. He says I may have moved my arm and then I get the needle moved around in my vain two different times so to get it finally right. Then I have to adjust my arm to not be ?? from my wrist being adjusted by the supervisor. He tells me why I'm moving and I explained to him why I had. Then he tells me that is why I had a problem and I told him .
The staff are friendly, but the policy enforcement is extremely rigid. I arrived just 11 minutes past my 10-minute check-in window ? something I've never done before ? and was immediately turned away. I was parked in by my roommate and had no control over the delay. This was also my last possible day to donate this week, which made it all the more frustrating. I understand the need for structure, but there's zero flexibility or compassion for one-time, unavoidable circumstances. Disappointing experience.
I have been here for 8 visits now and everybody has been very polite and very nice. My third visit they were very busy so I stood in line for an hour. The time went fast because most people in line were very polite. If you want a little extra money this is an easy way to make it.
Hannah the nurse was amazing, absolutely made me feel comfortable & answered so many questions! Christopher literally made the needle experience so painless & bedside manner was impeccable! The whole team I met with was quick, knowledgeable, & kind.
1st time was very good experience, the 2nd time I lost hours of my pay from work. I had a 945 appointment they didn't start drawing plasma from me until 1150. I lost 2 hours of my wages, because of bad management and over loading the work force. I found nowhere in the contract I signed this can or would happen. I'm having my layar go over this contract to see about the responsibility. I donate to help others, the money I get goes to people in need at my church. But, my pay is very important to me and my fam
Just horrible customer service! Absolutely zero acknowledgment of my existence until about 4 minutes waiting at the front desk, even though there were 3 people speaking to one another in hurried and flustered tones right in front of me?it seemed like the work, the customers, and the inputting of information on the various computer terminals, was way above their heads. One of them finally acknowledged me in a distant and irritated manner. I thought I heard him say he needed my Social Security card and driver
Unbelievably incompetent. About half the time they stick me with the needle they screw it up, and that's once you get to the chair. They frequently have massive lines at check in with no one around and employees just staring at each other. This center is incredibly poorly managed. The few other centers I've been too are much better.
As I was donating plasma on my 8th visit the donor seated next to me passed out cold. The staff quickly came to the donor?s aid and diligently provided excellent care. Although it was a tense situation I am confident all staff are skillfully trained and capable to remedy any situation that may happen. No matter how rare. Great job!!
Employees were professional and nice! Everything was great except the man on the bed next to me was watching something on his phone with the sound on. It was very disruptive and rude! I asked him to turn it down and he did not. There should be a policy against this. Others were using ear buds or no sound.
Thank you to Natalie Chetto at Biolife, she helped me with my payment issue. Very thorough and prompt, handled everything top to bottom and made my experience amazing. Great customer service ????10/10
Do not go to this location for plasma donations. From the second I walked in it was a complete nightmare of a visit. The man at the reception desk was beyond rude huffing and puffing the entire time he did my check in process with a nasty attitude I've never experienced before. THEN once I sit in the chair to start the donation process, one of the technicians that was cleaning up after a donation SPLATTERED BLOOD literally everywhere on the side of the chair another man was on, all over the floor, all over
So my experience here was terrible from the very start. They wanted me to go to the doctor for a mild condition that was over 6 months ago. They he nurse was nothing but rude to me even when I tried to say hello when going in. Also, the security guard who was supposed to check me in and give me my fast pass just sat there and talked to his female co-workers to whole time. Super disappointed don't go here.
Kim from Bio Life: A Phlebotomy Gem My recent visit to Bio Life for a blood draw was made exceptional by the wonderful phlebotomist, Kim. From the moment I entered Bio Life, Kim's warm greeting and clear explanation of the procedure instantly put me at ease. Kim's friendly demeanor and professionalism created a comfortable environment throughout the process. Kim's expertise shone as they skillfully located my vein and completed the blood draw swiftly and painlessly. Their gentle touch and attention to de
Nobody there knows how to do their job, can't find a vein for the life of them and they don't give a damn. I was .02 past the threshold for red count blood loss, and they banned me for 2 months because their stupid nurse just kept trying to run the machine on me again when she should?ve seen it wasn't working the first time and stopped. Just a bunch of idiots and a nurse who tells you ?yea I wish? when you tell her to higher people who know how to find a vein. Horribly run establishment.
Came here for the first time and the man checking me in was pretty rude, rolled his eyes at me at one point and made the whole experience uncomfortable. Gave him my ID and proof of address and he made the loudest (Sigh Ugh) like he didn't even try to hide it. Once you're sitting on a bed, it typically takes a while for them to finally get to you to start the procedure. Not sure I'll be coming back here again.
Bad bad experience on the first time appointment. As I walk in no one came to help h til 10mins later and the first person that comes to help come with *bad face and all the only sounds he kept on making was **UGH, huffing and puffing ?have you been help? Ugh? and he starts helping me with my process and I can't even hear him and didn't speak up he was just mumbling. He was rude and yelled at me for removing my finger off the fingerprint reader and that's when I got up and I told him I didn't want to do thi
Everything is done so well BioLife. From the time I arrive I am met with a smile. All the team members there are friendly and helpful. The process of collecting the plasma is done professionally and well!
Been donating for about 8 months now. (2-4 x month) Staff is always very friendly. Some days and times are busier than others. I always set aside 2 hours. I really enjoy donating and being able to help others.
Everyone was super nice, welcoming, and patient. All the employees I had the pleasure of meeting did an amazing job.
The two main people I dealt with going in were great! I intended to come back regularly. It was late and the person taking my blood thought he would not get a full donation or it would go slow, even though he got blood. He ended early but said I would still get paid. I did not get paid and had to go back the next day to ask why. The manager was very rude with me and said she would only give me $40 even though I spent 2 hours there the night before, and had to return again the next day, and I am not the
I always meet someone rude when I go. There's always more staff to make it better but my first time an older lady with glasses who made know-it-all replies whenever I asked for help and when I went today on 12/14/2024 for my 1:30 appointment the taller gentlemen with hair scarf over this hair working the front was very rude and belittling to me and my friend who's first time it was. Bella is very nice when she sees me but that man made me and my friend very upset
I travel all over so I am able to compare & contrast the efficiency of various BioLife locations and this one did good 2 days ago , but today there's already a long line at 730 am and it's doing slow ??. Lots of low or no,-skill people will wait all day if necessary . They have an almost unlimited supply of donors (including apparently undocumented persons ) in this area so there's apparently no need to try to improve. Glad I don't have to keep coming back here. My home base is much better . I'm still waiti
They don't pay enough for the difficulty to donate. If I'm going to waste hrs of my time I expect the money to go with it. I'm mad at the whole service of the company, not the location pay more and stop making life so difficult for no reason. I will no longer donate with this company again! This is an edit: Thank you bio life for the automatic response it's nice to know you guys are even personal online.(sarcasm)
Trash. When I tried to discuss a issue with manager I was just blew off . After I took time out of my day to donate. Trash only go to san marcos. Manger doesn't seem to take job seriously. If I could leave 0 stars I would.
The gals and guys working are nice the place is clean and all that. The issue I had was that apparently the machine was having issues with air in it. They couldn't return my blood told me I had a cell loss. Said that it was my second and that I couldn't come back for 8 weeks but gave me a $40 voucher for the inconvenience. Now if the machine has problems displacing air that's not the donors fault, although it could be the donors problem. $40 bucks out of $115 that was decreased from $145 isn't worth it.
Always have a great experience donating here, all the staff is friendly and helpful. Hyro is an amazing phlebotomist, it's practically painless when he inserts the needle
Whoever is supposed to pick up the phone sucks at that cause I've been trying to get a hold of them for ages. Like 5 voicemails easy with no return call.
I have been coming here for over a year. The line waits to even have your vitals taken are out of control. It takes almost 5 minutes a person and when there is only one person working the counter, expect to wait up to 40 minutes or more. Once that is done, you get to wait in another hour or more line to get a bed. You still need to get hooked up and donate of course. I love the staff, hate whatever management is doing. But don't worry, they have a large sign that says, "It's your hour, get the most from it"
I have been a donor at this location since Fall of last year. The staffs here are very, very nice to every donor. Some of them are chill, some of them like to have conversation with donors. The facility is very clean, and they are atentive to every donor if they have any concern or request in the process of donating plasma. But today, one of the staff give me a very off vibe about her. Conversation wise, there's nothing wrong but it was the way that she acts that is giving me a "not nice" feeling. She does
So in short, the time and time management. My appointment was at 4:25, and my service to donate did not start until 5:45... that is ridiculously unacceptable. Especially if you are requiring people to show up within ten minutes of their appointment to even be allowed to be seen. Then when you have other appointments to be made and had, you have to requedule one, be late to one or just flat out miss an appointment. The fact that they have a list of schedule slots allotted for appointments and gets hoerver t
If you're able to opt for a different location, go ahead and do so. This is the second time I've come to this location and it's the last time I come here. Normally this is an appointment that should take an hour from start to finish and every time I've been here it takes over 2 hours. The staff is inefficient and has no sense of urgency, things are very unorganized here. No only that, both times I've come here the practitioners are really rough putting the needle in your arm making it a more unpleasant expe
I have been a donor for the last few years. The facility is always clean and well organized. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Lindy, one of the techs, always puts a smile on my face. She has the best personality and makes you feel at ease. I love seeing her new pins and sticks for whatever holiday is approaching. She makes the experience as painless as possible
My last visit to BioLife was incredibly disappointing. I had to wait over an hour just to get my vitals taken, and there was only one person managing the vitals station. After that, I waited another 1.5 hours to finally get a bed. On top of that, they've removed the water bottles and snacks for donors, which is really frustrating?those small comforts make a big difference. To make matters worse, the bathroom floors and toilets were extremely dirty. I expected a much cleaner environment, especially for a pla
Brilliant service when to help with sign up but when to donate plasmas to save lives reading into it couple times then it does it's trick to get paid like no other services when it comes to donating plasma it's fast thank you BioLife
Would be nice if you don't put very loud banda , and corridos some of the lyrics are bad . I don't think Metal music would be appreciated too . Please stop putting drunk Mexican music , coming from a Mexican myself .
Excellent service! Staff members are well trained and have a positive perspective whenever I have been to the Vista location.
Had a great experience donating plasma at BioLife. The place was very clean and the staff and medical techs helped me to navigate the process with great efficiency.
Outside of a few windows in the week, the staff is overloaded and it take way too long to get the donation completed. Not having waters available before or after the donation is also ridiculous. We only get food or water if we're on the verge of passing out?!? What kinds of a business model is that? If you want people to donate either pay more or at least?.at least?provide water and snacks to ease the draining experience.
The facility is extremely clean and organized. All of the individuals here are so kind and quick on their feet. The staff is awesome especially Nury. She is so polite kind and patient. She has an awesome bubbly attitude and always so energetic and eager to help. She is definitely. A ring a ray of sunshine. And is so positive and has a good Attitude. She is very knowledgeable and answers.Questions effectively and efficiently. She is by far my favorite and I always am eager to see her when I get here. And she
My first donation process went well. Although it did take quite a while. But the needle in the arm went fine, the poke wasn't bad. This second time though, was rough! There for a little over THREE hours, and the tech poked and prodded both of my arms. I donated some, but had to stop because the needle started coming out and I started bleeding. So that arm got all wrapped up and then the tech tried my other arm, poking and prodding, then got the needle in. But then she said that wasn't working. So I had to s
By far the best plasma donation center I've been to. Great operating hours, very clean facility, staff is very friendly and professional. Not to mention the donation cash you receive is on a much better scale than other companies. Thank you Biolife I'm really glad I came to check you guys out. 5 Star Vista/Oceanside Biolife facility
I love biolife and normally do the one in Temecula. I had an appointment at 945. Took 10 min to get my vitals done. No problem. The problem came when I waited another hour sitting in the chair waiting for someone one to begin my donation. People who were seated after me were seen before me and left before I got started.
I like the place. It's so people friendly, and the techs really care and make sure you're okay. The facility is very clean and organized. I don't mind the wait because I see how busy it can be. They work hard and fast to take care of you and do the job right. I commend them all for their service and dedication. ??
Be careful and do your due diligence to make sure you get your money. I missed out on a $95 donation because they said my lipids were too high. This was AFTER they stuck a 16 gauge needle in my arm and drew 300ml of blood. I put myself at risk for $95 and they would only give me $20. Not worth driving miles and miles with high gas prices when you don't even know if you'll get your money. Bad business practices.
Standing in line for an appt and there is 6 people in front of me and only 1 person doing vitals. I will be here a while. New donors just got preference with no assisting vital taker persons. Plan your day to be here a while. Let's see how this turns out........ :( well took only 30 minutes to go the bed wait staging area..... now it's been 30 minutes with 4 in front of me and 5 bed open waiting for donors.... this is a tuff day if I didn't clear the whole 2 hours to donate.
They seem.to be under trained and made a lot.of.mistakes that I feel.they need to be retrained in a lot of. Areas as of doing there Job. And the lack of getting there donors in and out of the chair with those big needles in your arm I would wait 30 min sometimes to get out of my chair and still have the needle still in my arm they need to pay more attention to the ones who are done donating and get the needles out there arm faster and be more careful putting the needle in there arm and also when they chec
Overbooked every. Single. Day. It's like they just book as many appointments as possible out of greed. Then there's a line wrapped around the facility waiting to get on a donation bed, so expect to wait 2 hrs after your appointment time. And thats STANDING AND WAITING THE WHOLE TIME. Then another 1 to 1 and a half hrs donating once u do get on a bed. This has got to be the worse business design and approach to appointment based donating that I've seen in my life
I have been coming to buy a life for a couple of months now. I've had a positive experience every time I enjoy coming up here and seeing the technicians I'm getting to have good conversations with them and they're very knowledgeable in their field of expertise. I especially recommend Yeli as Juliet my favorite phlebotomist because they're so far their stick in my arm has been the least painful. I feel very well taken care of by the staff here at BioLife everyone is friendly helpful and I really feel like th
My experience today 10/27/24 was OK. I was in at 8:45 but spent an hour in the queue including check in, blood pressure & iron check, bed queue, in bed at 9:40, etc. Completed by 10:30. The process shows periodic signs of improvement but understand the variables, number of staff, number of mis-insertions, etc. can extend the time for individual steps.
It took over 2 1/2 hours to complete the donation. I had to stand up for 1 1/2 hours. It's terrible that No water or snacks are offered. It sucks that it takes so long to the Donation. I ate over one hour before the donation and Because it took so long, I didn't eat for almost 4 hours !!! The compensation is low only $40 or $80. Not happy And I'm not sure I'm gonna donate anytime soon.
I just want to give a huge shout out to all the great people I have met while donating here. Everytime I go in, my goal is to make them smile, and they are so kind, they do the same for me. I've been doing this for quite a while, and have met many great, kind people that have gone on to other places. There are always kinds folks working that really deserve big smiles. Go in, help the people that need plasma, and definitely treat them there folks with the best from you! Cheers!
The employees at Hacienda drive do a outstanding job. Very friendly and helpful. The only thing I dislike about the place is the payout. Mine has been reduced time and time again and only making $100 a week compared to what the company makes on individual plasma donations. The staff is excellent but management needs to pay out better or else they will lose out on people donating. I know other donors feel the same way and are considering going elsewhere or stop donating.
This Was My First Donation I Got here at 3:30 PM and Should Be Done Before 6:00PM. Already recieved the Debit Card with $100 for the first donation. Scheduled my 2nd appointment for the week for Saturday (2 Days From Today) . The Staff says it should be no Longer than 35 min next time and will Recieve $135 . So $235+ a week is pretty cool. They Also told me you get $150 for referrals. So Come in here Check it out if ya need sum Xtra Cash!
The team at the Vista location is amazing! Christopher, Hazel, and Erin are all the best. I recommend anyone that wants to donate to go to this location as the team there is top notch! Well done!
I'm extremely taken aback by the lack of compassion and empathy I experienced at my last appointment. When I attempted to log in, I was shown a ?no appointment found? message. I checked with the front desk and the representative said that I was too late for the check in. A WHOLE WHOPPING 5 minutes!!! As long as the donors have to wait and as understanding that we have to be, when out appointments run over the allotted timeframe. The traffic on the I-5 is absolutely terrible, more so than usual, due to the r
What a great experience! From the front desk to the nurses everyone was so friendly and informative. I had my physical with Cheryl and she was the best! Made me feel very comfortable and confident with the whole plasma donating process! I'll definitely be a regular!
Great efficient staff and nurses, but you keep lowering the amount you pay, from $145.00 to now $115.00. Why do this? I may quit donating all together, and dissuade all of my friends from donating too. Bad business practice..
Great 1st time donating plasma. From my understanding, it took longer this time because they throughly make sure you're all set and understand the process. Huge help making me feel like I'm in safe hands. Cold (remember your blanket!) but very clean & kind staff.
Got here for an appointment about two minutes late (simply made another for thirty minutes later), looks like a nice gent, that works in the front was showing obvious distress and annoyance with clients/me like they were stupid and or a waste of his time. As soon as a client is coming to the front desk he seems to finish whatever he is doing on his phone first then glares at whomever (unless youre a female or have the same skin color, which is odd way to live.) the client may be. If this is how RNs/Lab tech
Now this is a important business I have tried for days to speak with a live person and no success I have been there and have seen at least 1 person available to awnser the phone but they didn't real frustrating 2nd time I donated I didn't receive my full payment that caused me lots of problems because I was counting on the money I couldn't even pay my Uber driver that had picked me up after donating. And the communication with the staff could use improvement my appointment was at 6pm it was almost 8pm by ti
Very awesome ?? I had a very safe and surprisingly painless experience.A nice lady named Yeli was very attentive. The entire staff courteous professionals. Building very clean. What stands out is the staff are very attentive if any situation arises they are immediately on top of it. I can't say enough how painless the experience was
I have over 100 donations so far and feel I have enough time there to write a review of the location and some of its employees. The location is very clean and by any chance if it isn't usually notifying an employee, they are quick to tend to the problem. They have a small bin where they provide water and some snacks which is usually stocked with them, if by any chance it isn't you can notify an employee to get you something. Yeli has been one of the first people I've had the pleasure of meeting. She is a ve
I've been donating at Biolife Plasma for 3 months, and I consistently have a great experience. The staff is always friendly and professional, and I've witnessed them go out of their way to treat each patron with the utmost respect and care. In addition to their excellent customer service, Biolife is constantly offering great promotions that make donating even more worthwhile. The facility is always clean, and I appreciate how seriously they take personal information and HIPAA regulations. Overall, I highl
I went to San Marcos location prior and was always in and out. Efficient, great. Thought I'd try Vista location as it's closer to my home, but it takes forever for a donation. I always arrive a few minutes before my appointments and it always takes so long to get initial check, (only 1-2 people working) then waiting for a bed, (there are at least 24 beds but only use 12) Seems very understaffed, takes an hour from my appointment check in to even get to the donation part is crazy. It's every time that it ta
I've made about 200 plasma donations at Biolife Vista and the friendly, caring staff keep me coming back. The location is convenient to my home and easily accessible from the freeway. Visible signage makes it easy to find. The extended hours make scheduling a breeze. ADA accessible entry, restrooms, and walkways. Clean and sanitary facility. But the employees make it worth coming back. In particular, Nury, she has always made me feel welcome, knows my name, offers a kind greeting, strikes up a fun brief co
The staff is great! Lindy, especially, is AMAZING. Super friendly, always has a smile, explains all the steps she is doing, extremely professional. A great experience at Biolife in Vista. And Nury is another FANTASTIC person who works there. From taking my vitals to being an expert ?sticker? - she is always asking about my kids and my day and just a great person!!! Can't say enough about them!!
Staff is very accommodating and patient. At times I wish they had a couple of more people on staff as they seem they are always busy, busy. There has always been a great atmosphere at the Oceanside location when I have gone, which keeps me motivated to continue donating and I look forward to it!
Be prepared. Your initial appointment will take 4-6 hours. I've been waiting for the nurse for a mandatory physical for over 3 and a half hours so far. 12/30/23: Once you get through the initial process, donating is easy. The staff is patient and professional. The facility is super clean.
What a great center! I've been donating sporadically at BioLife for a little over a year now at both the Vista and Lemon Grove locations, and Vista has LG beat in every possible way! The atmosphere at Vista is always more welcoming and laidback, as well as the staff being the absolute best. In particular, Lindy (both at the front and on the floor) always does amazingly, handling each and every donor with utmost respect and kindness. Definitely can recommend donating plasma with BioLife Vista!
My husband and I are fairly recent new donors and our home base location is the Vista location on Hacienda. The staff are all so nice from the front desk, to the nurses, to the phlebotomists. The location is clean and very organized. Would highly recommend.
Biolife Plasma donation is an awesome way to make extra money. The staff are so nice and knowledgeable. The facility is very clean. The BioLife App makes it easy to book and keep track and even do last minute re-schedules of your appointments. The facility is ran very well.
This place is tolerable, most staff members look unhappy to be there and most are not friendly. It may be because they are very busy running around getting people hooked/unhooked to machines. A lot of the staff are young too so that may be a generation thing (get the job done and no interaction with customers) I don't mind too much though, can't complain I'm getting paid for it right!
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
