Reviews Summary

Most reviews praise the friendly, professional staff and clean, efficient environment, with many highlighting positive donation experiences. However, some criticize long wait times, inconsistent staffing, and inexperienced phlebotomists causing issues like bruising or failed donations. Payment discrepancies and management rudeness are also noted. While many donors feel valued and safe, others report frustration with disorganization or being ignored. The location excels when staff are attentive but struggles with consistency and efficiency during busy periods.

I have been going to this center for over a year. The people that work here are amazing. When I walk in I am greeted with love and respect. There are a few that have been here for awhile and those are the ones that make that place. Dolores, Danielle, Davon, Tamara, Han, Jesse, Rhonda, and Monica if I missed any one please forgive me. I truly enjoy walking into this location. Keep up the great work ????????????????

I have been coming here for several years. Me and my service dog are always greeted warmly. I have had to replace my card and that has never been an issue. It's a very friendly and positive atmosphere.

Tamara and all of the employees are so great here! I've been to 2 other plasma donation sites and feel the most comfortable here. Everyone is friendly, gentle and kind!

I had a wonderful experience. Janes, My cup of tea! Tamara was a sweetheart and Emily was a little bit more important. lol. I enjoyed myself to the point I completely forgot I had a needle in my arm. Look forward to seeing them and donating the next time. Have a great day!

This is awesome location to donate plasma. The staff here are all friendly and knowledgeable. Great welcoming and friendly environment! Emily and all her co-workers do a fantastic job!! I highly recommend everyone Donate plasma at this location!! Awesome job team!!??????

The staff here are SO friendly. Every single time I've been there, they've been so nice. I've never had an issue donating, but this last time I went, I suddenly got super light-headed during my donation. Someone was by my side instantly, and I wish I'd caught her name. She elevated my feet, put an ice pack on my neck, got me a Gatorade (Powerade?), and fanned me until I know her arm had to be tired, but she kept going until I felt better. Then they got my husband from the waiting area to help me out. Thank

I must have missed the friendly staff and got the staff that doesnt care about anyone. Got ignored for about 30mins while they taked and gossiped amogst themselves. Not a great first impression.

I wish I could say I'd want to come back to donate but I feel it's not in the best interest of my health to do so anymore. I've been coming for maybe 2 months now and the only workers who have been able to successfully stick me (as someone with deep veins) are Desiree and Emily. Any other time I've either been rejected or been given to someone who isn't at all comfortable with doing it. I was even told by at least 5 workers that the time I was rejected it shouldn't have happened and someone should have atte

So I went to give plasma 5/10/22 and I always try to go often but this time was not a good one. I was upset about what they wanted to do in my situation. The lady poked me but with force I told her it hurts. Well immediately I saw an hematoma appear and was getting bigger as I was telling her hey it hurts take it out. Finally someone else came and took out the needle. Then they asked if I wanted to be pricked again, I was like seriously my arm hurts and is very sore. So this was not my fault they wanted to

Return donor bonuses were discontinued Jan 1. They now take 963 ml vs the old 880for no extra pay. As someone who only donates periodically, these bonuses are how I choose what company to donate to. Grifols are now out of the loop due to corporate greed. A prime example of someone on the corporate level being spiteful to the people who actually earns you money. Crooks

Desiree has been a helpful leader since day one. She is very confident and competent in everything she does! Nick was great with checking me in and showing me the ropes and completing my physical! Everything went smooth after that. Danielle always is attentive and in a good mood and makes me feel at home while she takes care of all of the people that come through. Tamira is very jovial and very upbeat as she works fast at helping us all! I really and truly can say that it's refreshing coming in here after a

Always a good experience when I donate. Desiree, Maddy and Emily are the best. They're always friendly, prompt and knowledgeable as well as excellent stickers with the needle. I never feel the needle enter or exit my arm. They're the greatest!!!!

I would say for my first time donating, it was very pleasant. I wish I would?ve gotten the phlebotomist?s name before I left, but he made my first stick very easy, for it being (looked like) a 16 gauge needle. Everyone was very friendly, and the Medical Administrator Maria was great! I hope my future visits are just as good.

I've had great experience with donating at the slaughter location. Love Desiree, she's a great stick and always on point.Don't ever have to get adjusted. Has a great attitude and friendly

To be honest I enjoy donating I enjoy the environment I enjoy the people and I enjoy the Good vibes and laughter around especially the team members that go around and help us with anything and everything that we need I appreciate all that y'all I do for us here keep up the good job. keep doing God's work be a blessing to those who are blessed to each other help save a life because anyone can make a difference in someone's life by coming to donate plasma and thank you Desiree. G for the good hospitality you

The entire staff is excellent. They are very efficient and great at keeping the place running. Nick is always friendly and went out of his way to build rapport with me on day one.

Not to please with the manager this morning. She was kind of rude because we forgot you have to schedule appointments now. Assumed we were trying to get ahead of the people that scheduled appointment's and that's not what we were trying to do at all. Kind of talked to us like we were idiots. They usually are nice there at least most staff is.

I've been going to Grifols Biomat for about 2 yrs and I've come to know the staff very well. I say we are like family. As soon as I walk in the door greeted with a smile from Britt. Or from the homie Nick always asking bout my day ?? then making my way to the back and seeing the faces of Emily,Maddie ,Danielle and Amanda who's always ready to crack a joke with me ?? .And my friend Tamara who always makes it to say hi friend ?? AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST Big Mike Mr ?? whistle?? .....KEEP UP THE GREAT WOR

Very nice under paid staff!!! Very friendly ??. Desiree and Emily always take really good care of me!! Very professional they need a promotion ??

I had an excellent experience at Gilfols Biomat on West Slaughter Ln, thanks to Nick! He was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout my visit. Nick's friendly demeanor and expert guidance made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Nick and the team at Gilfols Biomat for their outstanding service. Thank you, Nick, for making my experience a positive one!

I love everyone there, very friendly and helpful. I think I'd donate more if it was an even amount of money rather than this small first payment followed by a bigger payment the second time of the the week. There's times like now on Friday where I would only have time to donate once this week, so I'm only planning to donate when I can hit two days in a week.

I have been visiting this location for years I have been a valued donor never causing any issues last October during a visit the nurse assisting me did not properly stick me after my first round I complained of pain in my arm she stopped the process and attempted to stick me again without success I have a iron deficiency which at times requires for the need of a blood transfusion so the process was stopped and I spoke to a manager who advised they would not be able to return my blood to my body which also m

People that work here are trained professionals with good smiles

Hello, my name is Bobbie and my review is for a very sweet and dedicated girl Tamara at the slaughter location. She is always very friendly and very helpful. Also quick and sufficient. She always has a smile on her face and makes me feel very welcome when it's my turn to donate. As well as all the other staff members very polite. Thank you and keep up the good work. :)

Spent 3 and half hours going through the first time donor procedure, was cleared, placed on the floor only to then be denied because of my tattoo sleeves. Extremely inconsistent staff, wasted my entire day for nothing. Thanks. Staff was friendly enough but management really needs to have some consistency.

I just wanted to express my satisfaction with my experience today. I had to transfer to this location from the Allandale/Airport location and the staff explained the process and got me processed and donating with minimal wait. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. I very much recommend this location (the north one is also very good) should anyone be considering donating plasma. Great job!

Just did my first donation this week! Everyone is super nice and helpful! Especially Nick who did my physical evaluation before my donation he explained everything step by step and answered all my question! Excited to go back :)

I been coming Biomat for 2yrs. and Ms. Delores is my favorite person to see. She's very professional, have a nice attitude with a warm smile that gives you a comfortable feeling about donating.Great Job Delores.

I haven't been back to this location in months because of their old machines and the staff seemed more interested in interacting with one another than taking care of their donors. I finally went back because they were offering a bonus I couldn't pass up. I was *very pleasantly surprised*! The tech, Tamara, that helped me was extremely professional and very friendly. They had all new machines. I didn't leave there bruised like I had so many times before. I was very happy with my experience this week and will

Always have a great experience when I visit here and I go twice a week! Staff is always friendly and professional and I'm usually in and out relatively quickly. Highly recommend you stick request Christian! He's literally given me the most precise and painless sticks reliably every single visit! Fantastic experience and way to make a little extra money and feels great to help the community!

If there was a negative star, I would rate this place a negative star. I sit down, 10 mins later, someone notices me sitting down and asks me if I'm a returning donor. I said no, I'm waiting to pick up someone here who is donating. A little later, a short guy tells me that since I'm not a donar, I can't be in the facility lol. I dropped my water and left. I used to donate to her about over a year ago. I didn't know that they turned into a holes ??

I usually make only restaurant reviews but I decided this was a good opportunity to sent some positivity. I feel as if the team they have right now is very solid. The employees at the Slaughter location are professional, friendly and on most days they find ways to help people stay happy while they wait. Some times when its busy, Ive seen some really good hustle.

I love the online checkin and questionnaire it makes the process so much quicker. Amanda was the one working on me today and she was friendly and the stick did not hurt, she did a great job

Great first donation experience! The staff is very professional and helpful. One staff member in particular, Mr. Joseph deserves at least a 1? pay raise ????

On one occasion I had my personal information leaked and was contacted by a group of females claiming to work for Grifols. (The number belonged to someone living in El Paso). On another occasion after I had completed my donation; several phlebotomist turned a blind eye to me as I sat there hooked up to the machine while helping at the very least 4 other donors (all Hispanic but I hope that had nothing to do with it). Don't know if this was a personal experience or if this place is actually prejudice! For th

99.99% of the staff are awesome. The changes that have been implemented in the last couple of days have made everything worse! The whole point of doing the express kiosk was so that we could check in as soon as we arrived and bypass the people doing the regular kiosk. Now we all have to wait in the same line. It took 30 minutes to get called to a booth. And you took away the chairs. What were you thinking? So many bad decisions. 2.5 stars would be a more accurate rating.

Amanda R. and Daniella L. are the best. They make sure you are taken care of and making sure the process of you donating be as much ease as possible. Great people.

I came in Friday 5 pm. I'm a returning donor. I last donated in November because of a bad experience, where staff was more concerned about cleaning and closing than paying attention to people who needed disconnects. I came in to use my $50 bonus (code: LAPSED50) and was turned away because they did not have enough staff for me to do a physical. I don't think any manager was consulted. They sure were nice about it.

Not sure I will be going back after this week. They have changed the donation amount and is going by your BMI now and I'm a big girl and I now have to fill up an additional 200 ml more and they didn't give me anymore compensation or anymore saline for the extra plasma I gave. My arm hurt because of the longer time with the needle and being in the same position longer. And the longer time to get screened and waiting to get started on the machine. The new process just isn't working for me. There's a new cente

Donated plasma for my first time today. Joseph and the trainee Sydney(I think that's her name) we're incredible and made sure I knew the process well and went over everything with me in detail. Joanne took care of my donation in the back area. Very kind, thorough when talking me through the process, and had a great attitude all around. I'll definitely be back soon

So on my visit I , meet a employee name Amanda Rios . Ms, Rios always have positive things to say . Ms, Rios also make sure she help you with any questions I had

Always coming here to donate. Staff is so polite and friendly! I do want to give a special shout out to Joann she's awesome!! Every time I have a great experience.

I've been donating here for three years. Their donor fees and bonuses are good, and fair. The employees are all kind, patient, knowledgeable, and good humored. I've only had one re-stick in my 3 years there so far. The chief reason that I give it 4 stars is that the company itself, as in higher management than the folks that work at this particular center, treat their employees as machines. So to clarify, I don't believe anyone at this center is at fault, but I put the blame on upper management that has ne

Love the friendly staff and great environment. I have been donating since the business opened and all in all it is pretty painless. I enjoy giving back to the community while making extra cash. I recommend everyone try it if you are able.

I've been coming for years and never once had a bad experience. The lobby stay cleaned, the lines are short they even have chairs for us to sit at while we wait to be screened. This place is awesome if you want to make a few dollars this the place to visit

This location is ran very well! Staff is very friendly, clean environment, and fast process. Normally in and out within 45 mins. Absolutely zero complaints!

I always have a great experience when i go in, ive become familiar with most of the staff and they are always welcoming. You might find a delay when going in during later hrs but only because a high volume comes in. Nonetheless they are still quick and diligent at what they are doing. ??

The staff here is great! I have to give a shout out to Sam especially, one of the medical supervisors. I had a reaction during donation and he was there to find out the problem and take care of it right away. I have to say he really cares about the donors and wants to ensure everyone is doing their job as well to make the experience a good one. Jeannette is another staff member who goes above and beyond to ensure donors have great experiences, she is very attentive and a fantastic, experienced phlebotomist.

Every time I come in Amanda R always shows great services and is a great person to talk to and makes u feel comfortable

Wonderful place to donate. Everyone is so friendly and professional. Thanks Amanda for always being so kind and caring.

Staff is friendly took a while to get screened though . This location does not pay well . Less than half what the one up north gives you . This location only gives you $40 while the one on airport gives you $100 per donation. I recommend the one on airport if u want to donate and it be worth it.

Pretty nice staff but sometimes wait times are too long and they can't always find your vein, which hurts! Also, if you have to go to medical be prepared to wait forever to donate again because the doctor takes forever to check the results of your tests. I had to call multiple times, even show up in person before something was done and I wasn't able to donate for months. Overall good experience whenever they are well staffed and organized.

What i do without mrs Deairee and Mrs Dolores. you can never go wrong when they are working. Keep up the good work ladies.

Glad to be back to this new and improved environment. JoAnn has made it easy for me to get hooked up and ready. She is a real good worker and always welcoming.

Enjoy this location so much! All of the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and keep the environment warm / interactive. Freddy is a delight to be around, and knows what he's doing. This will be my home base for plasma donations going forward! The location is kept clean and organized.

They'll deny you donating on Friday just to force you to donate Saturday for 40$ and then next week for 40$ again. Never coming back. Not only that the staff that did the orientation thing for me told me that the donor bonus would last another month regardless. That was a lie as after my 3rd donation I never received any more as the new month started

Supervisor Mike was super knowledgeable and helpful. Alyshia (sp?) disconnected me very safely and quickly. Both of them made the visit a great experience.

I haven't had a negative experience here compared to other centers. The attitude you give off is the attitude you get because I've seen people complain and throw fits thinking it's going to make it go faster. For those wondering, it usually takes me about an hour or an hour and a half at the most. Ebone is a hard worker and always greets me with a smile even if a customer is rude to her (which I've seen) she is respectful and makes sure you're being taken care of and the issue is resolved.

Was recommended Grifols by a friend. Have had nothing but positive energy from this place since my first visit 8/11/22. Staff is friendly and the clinic is clean and efficient. Great incentives. Definitely will recommend myself.

I have been faithfully donating since December of 2018. This is our part time jobs and love the cause as well now on this note Jeanette got her shortly after we donated for a while. She is so awesome and think she should havebe moved up in her career with BPL,she's dedicated to her job and it shows! I've had wrong sticks that have had me deferred but she never misses my veins that are difficult and we never feel the stick.. Again she is a breath of fresh air when she is there I know that I will have a relax

Had an incompetent employee not only mess up my stick but make several questionable actions prior. Not changing gloves, not wiping down the seat between donors and touching the incision site with dirty gloves after iodine was used on the area which means the area is not longer sanitized. I asked 3 times to have the needle removed as it was causing pain and the machine was on malfunctioning. It took her over 10 minutes to remove the needle and she argued with me the whole time. Spoke to the manager who seem

The facility is efficiently ran so one is in & out in a timely manner. Shout out to Amanda R. for being extra attentive. ??

Great experience, however being denied to have my Legal Service Dog along my side was extremely upsetting and definitely not the experience that one should hope for... what would yall do if it were my Guide dog. Are you saying that someone on their own wouldn't be allowed to donate due to having the aide of a Medical device?? You are the only company that doesn't allow service Dogs to be at their Companions side.

First time donor. The staff was professionally kind and well trained. Registration was a bit slow but it wasn't a problem. I had a bad reaction during my donation. Medical staff was immediately attentive and stayed by my side during recovery. However, I have the WORST bruising on my arm though. Not just the injection site, but an almost 4 inch wide bruise wrapped around my arm. They attributed it to not drinking enough water, but it looks more like my return went into my arm and not my vein. I will definite

Some of the staff is good. The wait is long. I think they need to have the supervisor helping as well so people can be in and out. Tasha, Ebonee, JaJuan are good to stick you. Waiting so long to be stuck drains me more then sitting there donating.

Tamara is the greatest!! She has the best personality and an Amazing bedside manner. Her sticks are like butter, every time!! She is the reason I come all the way from Montopolis to donate. She's definitely a keeper! Thank you Grifols, and thanks again to Tamara!! You earned these 5 stars!!

I WOULD NOT WASTE MY TIME DONATING w/ GRIFOLS! I have donated else where before, CSL- is BETTER!!! Grifols takes the most time to start donation process. It's takes 30-45 minutes to start the daily screening, even longer still to complete the donation process and more over they pay less than other places. The information contained on their website is a loose guide and not meant to be take literally. They seem to be short staffed perpetually.

Update: once I got to the back, smooth sailing. Also IF YOU SEE CAROLINA IN THE BACK JUST KNOW YOURE Going TO BE TAKEN CARE OF AMAZINGLY. She's sweet, smells good, perfect stick every time and she keeps things moving!! Give that woman a raise!! She's why I give y two stars instead of one.

Always look forward to the very friendly and professional staff, esp. Jasmine, Freddy, Jerry, & Christian, who always hit my tricky vein! I like donating to help others, but after screening out a year ago from high BP & pulse, it motivated me to turn my health around: I've lost 40 lbs & feel great!

This location is very clean and fast based upon the other location I've been to. I felt very welcomed and all my questions were answered. Jasmine was very helpful and nice. She made the process fast and easy. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in donating plasma. Definitely a great experience. I will continue on going to this location.

I was a little nervous to donate plasma for the first time ever, but Biomat USA on Slaughter was a great choice! The staff were SUPER friendly and funny, the place was clean, the process was organized, and a staff member even called me the day after my appointment to see how I was doing and if I had any questions. I was blown away! The compensation for the first time is $100, and the next three times you go, you'll get $125. (As of the time of this writing). The price after that decreases.

The first few times I went, very professional staff; courteous, prompt and well informed. Today I was assigned a section and forgotten about. Was actively ignored by 3 different staff members despite being literally the only person not hooked up. After about 15 minutes of this, I left. But the hobo laughing about being still drunk from last night is currently donating. So there's that. I hope I never need a blood transfusion.

Tamara Amanda r and Emily are very good workers and love there company and help when needed. Keep up the good job ladies.??

The staff are always super nice. I bring my iPad and I'm usually done before I can even finish an episode of a show. Help save lives and earn a bit of money.

With the new company that bought them they now have to set up each donation bed manually compared to it being setup and ready to go before. They are some times under staffed so you may have to wait a while to get stuck or unstuck after your donation. Update: The facility has gotten extremely slow. The Donors always have to wait extremely unreasonable times just to be connected and unconnected to the machine.

Please bring back Happy Hour Bonuses, Bingo, and technicians who stay with the company more than a couple of months. Currently we've been waiting on an MS Supervisor . The building has been open since 8 a.m. and we have yet to be seen. This seems to be a regular occurrence. This is an issue that affects your employees enormously. Alot of the donors would seriously appreciate, if you guys would have an alternate plan. I think it would be great if you guys could have two Medical Supervisors on the floor at al

I get so frustrated every time I donate. I got poked on the fingers three times because the person drawing kept messing up. They don't know how to put a blood pressure cuff on me. I especially really hate the way some of them talk to me and how unprofessional they act in front of the donors. And they wonder why I am not really friendly.

Great place to make extra money and help others at the same time. Can't come here on a set schedule though. It could take an hour or 2 and a half hours there's been instances I sit down and have not been stuck in 20 minutes...even watched an employee be asked by a supervisor she said I've got this disconnect, she walked to a bed 2 away finished and walked off to do nothing until I asked to get stuck again and the supervisor did.

They need more experienced people when it comes to drawing blood. Apparently I have small Veins and the less experienced people have poked me to where I get terrible bruises and they hurt me because they have to try so many times. Since this is an essential part of their process, they really need at least one expert available to assist during all working hours. I've wasted expensive gas, cause it's ridiculously expensive these days, driving far to donate and there either isn't an expert available or t

I came in today on 2/15/22 at 11am to donate and they had me sitting and waiting for 3 hours. I just now walked out at 2:07pm and no one told me it would be just a minute or anything. This was my first donating and I was really excited and now I don't ever want to do this again. Employees were friendly but maintenance was stepping on the chair I was sitting on also while I was waiting while they were fixing a TV? Place was uncomfortable, rude, and a waste of time going to.

My husband I love the staff in the back Matteo,Sarah, Jeanette,Tasha, Delores, Victoria, Alyssa and the bubbly Joanna makes our day when the staff really cares about you! Also the medical supervisors Sam, Zoe, Frank donating we have been donating since November 2018 and it's our part time job and home away from home. Saving lives and getting paid for it is not a bad cause! The black coats in the front are awesome the ladies that check vital and receptionist are so nice never rude and great ora! The best cus

Well I've been coming to plasma on slaughter since October of 2021 never had any problems I always pick who I want to insert the needle to my arm so far there's three persons that are good at what they do first person is Christian Christian is a good person real polite and I have nothing negative to say second person is : Alicia A.k.a. FYI / she is good at what she do she very polite gentle and she pays attention to what she do that's what I like I haven't had any problem with them at all if anything it's m

I stop going because I was there first donor since the day they open I've seen so many come an go they have such a high turnover that speaks for itself they have to many chiefs and not enough Indians! The techs talk about each other there personal mess was on the floor, an they always find a reason not to pay you even when you get a bad stick that's cool not your fault it's is one person there that was awesome an that was Tasha ! I seen by the way other plasma centers work an treat there donors maybe you al

The wait times get worse and worse. I wait over an hour just be screened and about 2.5 hrs just to get hooked up. The payout has been less in 2022 compared to 2021 and the wait and customer service is declining with it. And do something about those nasty restrooms... the homeless smell better

The people who work there are very nice, and very helpful. I stoped donating for a while and when I came back, Joseph asked if I had gotten a return donor email. I didn't remember one, so I checked my old emails. I had gotten one and qualified for an extra $50! Thanks Joseph!

Best place to donate by far! Staff is super nice and friendly, Professional, they always store my motorcycle helmet behind the desk so I don't have to hold it while I donate. Also the payouts are great!

Highly recommend no one donate here. They have just started taking forehead temperatures at the door, and i was measured at 109. If i was really 109 i would be flat out almost dead. I was told by tech that a lot of temps were off since they started using the knew temperature. So with my temp being measured wrong i have to wait 2 week, if i even want to go back, before u can donate again. I feel fine its a hot muggy day, but even then 109 temp is really off since clearly i am not dead.

Takes forever. Got here at 3:50 pm and did not get hooked up to donate until 6pm. Very short on staff. And staff don't seem to care about speed or attending customers. Many times I see staff just joking around and laughing when there is a long line. All for $40
