This morning ?? I was in a little panic and called for information on payments. The lady that answered the phone was so polite and helpful that I still have a smile on my face right now. Rhonda is very professional, knowledgeable and efficient in helping the customers and knows how to give proper responses so that not only her time but also he clients time is not wasted. Thank you ??
Today, Monday, January 20, 2025, at 4:55PM, I called to inquire about donating blood for the first time. I selected the option to speak in Spanish because I feel more comfortable speaking Spanish, especially for something as important as this process. A representative named Christine answered the call. I asked her if she spoke Spanish, and she replied, ?Yes, I do,? but then continued speaking to me in English, over and over. I began speaking to her in Spanish and asked her some questions about the donation
The absolute worst most unprofessional place I've ever been to in my life. Between the patient care, coordinators, the nurse, and the phlebotomist I wish I could give a -5 star review? they didn't care about a damn thing except themselves getting out of work on time in the middle of the day! I was there with two other people and we ALL we turned away for different reasons so we left and went to BioLife (one mile away on East Bay) and we ALL were taken and it was a beautiful experience.
I have been donating plasma for years, and I had hands-down the worst experience of my life at this center. The phlebotomist clearly had no idea what she was doing because she pulled the huge needle out of my arm, did not put any pressure on it and then walked away. Blood was gushing out of my arm all over the floor, and it made me scream! It was so jarring to see that much blood pouring out of my body. Everyone else around me was freaking out too. I actually stopped donating plasma after this experience be
Whenever I go, it's always clean and I always look for Devin or Vanessa these two are my favorites. Overall, the rest of the staff are phenomenal as well. The supervisor lex was very helpful. I will highly recommend GRIFOLS I have a pretty good experience each time I go.
The Absolute Worst!!! First donation went smoothly, got all pertinent information. Came for second donation after driving a hour and being 2nd on property now having to sit and wait for someone to do system stuff that should?ve been done after first donation. Literally watching people come and go not one staff stopped to see if they could help. There is no point of being her early and drive the distance cause there is none in Tampa. Worst Professionalism not Customer Focused At All
Just stood at first-time donor check-in desk for over 10 minutes, and no one that worked there even walked by. And I had an appointment. I just left without donating.
This is by far the best place to donate. I've been to Octapharma and CSL and both can't compare with Biomat. Everyone is pleasant and they are very efficient with the whole process. I will continue to donate here indefinitely.
I've been at Grifols for a couple months, it's my favorite plasma spot. Staff, donors, and managers are all cool and respectful.
It is a very chill atmosphere. Always an enjoyable experience because the staff is so friendly and fun. They get the job done, but they have fun doing it Julia and Vanessa always go above what is expected to make EVERYONE feel at home and comfortable .
Had a very pleasant experience with customer service over the phone. Francis took extra steps in helping me and she listen to my concerns.
Love this place! Best donor facility in pinellas! Only thing is, they have contest and winners of certain things that criteria needs to be met on, but never publishes winners? Makes you wonder if there really are any winners? Or is it just a scam to get more donors and more effort from existing donors. When all they have to do is make it beneficial for existing donors with cash! Not a chance at something, that noone sees actually happen! Questionable practices at the least! Still the best people around tho
I've been coming here for years and the staff couldn't be better. Everyone is great to be around and knowledgeable. The center itself is ran efficiently and they always keep up with volume with little wait times.
The service here is always exceptional here. Here your not just a donor. Your a person they treat you with respect and care. The ask how you are and how you r doing. They take the time to care about you and what your doing and not just another person they are sticking gor the 50th time that day. I really appreciate the staff from start to finish. Vanessa was caring and excellent she display everything you want in someone working in health-care. She had a understanding about everything in front of her and m
Of all the centers I have donated at this is by far the best. Their staff is always working hard to get things done, over the years they have come up with solutions to simplify the donating process and they do their best to make it a good experience for everyone. I have been going for almost three years and I have never left upset or with a sore arm or anything so it's really been a great experience working with them. I love this center! :)
The staff is hit or miss in terms of bedside manner either nice and helpful or grumpy and short?. The machines are what gives this place a bad review for me they must be old or never maintained because they glitch , won't draw blood , no flow , takes forever. There's better places to go if this place is your closest one I guess it's ok
Ms Cindy was very nice and very calm with me . Big ups to her !!!! Raise her up griffols!!
I have been here before even when it was BPL. And Rhonda is Queen. I don't like needles and she makes it so smooth and that I request her when she is present. Everyone from Lex to the maintenance worker are like family. Although others offer more money I would not change for no reason.
There cleanliness is top service as well,as their kind staff . The process for new donors and returning donors has been the best experience O have had with a plasma donation center ever. Every appointment is made on an app. You never have big lines to wait on.
I like it. Everyone is nice except for the short girl who's always rude. Maybe get her therapy ? Overall though, all things considered, I like this place a lot and everyone is good people. I'd recommend coming here.
Made an appointment easily. Appointments avoid long wait times and it is a clean, well kept environment. Professional and friendly service.
Everyone was really friendly and professional. Quick and easy. ??
The staff is great and they're good at what they do. My issue is the wait time. They are always shorthanded and are not equipped for heavy traffic. I feel like sometimes workers walk around doing other stuff and sometimes not doing anything at all even though there is a line waiting to be called. If you are on a schedule give yourself at least another hour on top of what you already think you need. I had to leave after I was checked in simply because it was taking too long and I wouldn't have made it on ti
By far my favorite donation center in the area. Staff is always friendly, and wait time is rarely over 15 minutes. Shout out in particular to Vanessa, Brittany, Ron, Precious, Jillian, Thomas, and the guy on crutches whose name slips my mind
Rodique devin Thomas escelente help great job forreal very friendly Very gentle
Love this plasma center. They have wifi, bonuses, awesome relaxing staff, and a super clean and professional building, facility, and awesome payouts. Definitely recommend. ????
Christian was very friendly great at her job an very perfesonal. Way better then CSL so glad that I came here never going back to csl. I'll be sure to tell all my friends to come here
They have zero notification for deferrals. They want you to waste your time coming in to find out instead of calling or emailing you asking for a call back. Which they're required to do. I wont be back. Freedom Plasma in St. Pete pays a lot more.
The staff are always friendly and like to laugh and have a good time. The wait can be long at certain times but the staff do their best to keep things moving. Once you're settled in they do a good job at keeping you comfortable. My veins are deep and other places have a hard time but the staff here know what they're doing and never have a problem getting me set up. I will not go anywhere else.
Vanessa is always a reliable stick! Almost 200 sticks and flawless.shes my tech and I will always wait for her if she is on the floor .
Forced to check out and wait to our appointment time of 530 but it says in the app says you can come 15 mins early. That was fine just waiting. What I was upset about is two others checked in early. Then don't call back in order as check in pulls a lady not even checked in that know the lady working the counter.
Rahim makes the the place fun and such a pleasure to see. Rhonda is amazing and such relief to me qhen she comes to pick me. Don't feel it at all!!
They just took the phone completely off the hook very unprofessional. I'm a new donor just trying to ask a few questions.... They are understaffed the first donation was the longest process I've experienced out of a lot of plasma donation centers! You have to make a appointment there! They're are barely any donors in the center and it still took 4 hours!! They are not assertive or persistent they walk around cussing everything is a joke... Playing around between employees! The donors aren't getting the prop
I would never go back to this place. Use CSL or other plasma centers. As you can see in the photos my arm is completely black and blue due to the knowledge of the the nurse. She laughed about it and the manager does nothing at all to help the patients. Take your buisness elsewhere. You definitely don't want the experience I had.
I love this place very comfortable Vanessa was amazing no problem getting me prepared for my donation she explained everything to me that would happen to a procedure so I could understand felt safe and can't wait to donate again thanks Vanessa for helping me save lives??
Honestly I was hesitant at coming here based off of the reviews that I read when I was doing my research. But when I came in, I was immediately greeted and the customer service was excellent from start to finish. I used to go to the BPL in Tampa, where it was like a madhouse. But this one is calm and inviting, the staff is friendly and they're quick to help! Lisa is hilarious and Darius was awesome. Overall I just enjoyed my experience and the overall environment that they have! the employees are happy and
The staff is friendly and efficient. I appreciate how hard they work to make each visit quick and pleasant.
This is my 4th donation at this center, and I am always impressed with how clean the facility is. The process moves quickly once you complete your initial assessment, I am usually finished in about an hour. The staff here is Phenomenal! Every person I have come in contact with has been very nice and personable, and seems to really enjoy their job
I've personally donated at multiple places, CSL, Biolife, Octapharma, Freedom, and now Grifols. By FAR this is the best location I've ever been to. The staff was nice every step of the way. The needle was stuck gently and the process was smooth and successful. All the staff had positive attitudes and seem to work well together . I wish they paid more, but if you're looking to donate successfully with zero pain or aggravation this is the place to go!
I've been going to this donor location for about 5 years and I've always received great service! Rhonda, Lex, Jillian, and the rest of the staff are awesome!!!
5 stars for Lex. 100 stars if I could!!!! Lex was so fun & friendly from the moment I walked in. He made me feel like I was safe and in professional hands. For me, I was having an issue with my expired plasma funds credit card. Lex immediately stepped up to see how he could assist me and wasted NO time helping me out & figuring out what to do to fix my problem. He was so cool, so kind, so easygoing, funny. All the employees there had amazing energy and seemed like they were happy at their jobs. Shoutout
Clean and efficient, but they lose one star for their music selection: Just because there are no "cuss words" doesn't mean everything's appropriate in a professional setting. They lose a second star for their poor bedside manner: I am from up North, so I don't need or expect chit-chat, but employees should at least occasionally say things like "hello" or "how are you doing?" These seem focused on joking around with each other or singing along to the music ??
Tanida has always been a great phlebotomy for me
This place used to be absolutely fantastic. I went over 6 months ago and called to see if I would be a ?new donor? again they said yes but I could only make an appointment on the app and hung up. I only stopped donating before because I had gotten covid and took medication to speed it up from the symptoms so I didn't even try donating again for a long while to make sure my donation was safe. I had called before I had decided to stop and they told me they couldn't tell me over the phone how long I would need
Brittney Vargas And Jillian and Erica ARE THE BEST!!! It Was My First Time Donating And I Didn't Know What To Expect But Theese 3 Young Ladies Walked Me Through The Whole Process And Made Me Feel So Comfortable And Took My Anxiety Away! Those 3 Girls Were Extremely Knowledgeable About Their Job! I Will Be Back Again??
Very professional, clean, and if you go in the am you can get in and out quickly. The best thing for me is they are very good at setting the needle. They hit the mark first time unlike some other places that have made a mess of my arm.
This location is awesome. They are very professional, efficient and they really care about their donors. Rhonda and Sirina are among the best. The GM Rick is a hands on leader and is really good at his job and is very well respected.
Best plasma center I have ever been to.. everyone is always pleasant and chill.... smooth check in with Thomas up front.. easy stick as always with Vanessa, Ric the center manager and ronique always checking up on everyone and being awesome. Great place to donate and save a life 100%.
Awesome place. Definitely recommend this center to all who haven't switched over to Biomat. Dedicated Phlebotomists, Rhonda and Justin to name.. Awesome and respectful, both go above and beyond to create a comfortable experience for all. Always get on first try, never have a problem with them on the team. Everytime I visit, I always feel welcomed, between the reception, all the way into the back where the magic happens. Head on down to Biomat, for the most pleasant and respectful experience you can have.. N
Usually pretty friendly service but there are some things this location needs help on. Either another location or to utilize their facility more by hiring/seeking out more employees. The wait time drags on for pretty long times and I think that is a lack of staff. Good facility though and good promotions, looking forward to the app running to do all my questions for donation!
Jonathan, Rebecca, and Derrick were just a few employees that I had an excellent experience with! Everyone that I came in contact with was so nice and friendly! The place was very clean and maintained. The doctors in the black scrubs were also very professional in answering my questions and making me feel comfortable. I will be recommending this place to everyone and returning very soon for another visit! Thanks to everyone that worked here!
I have been going to this location for 2 years now. Usually stuck by Vanessa, who is always friendly and professional. Would recomend this location to anyone.
This is the second time I've attempted to become a donor and I keep getting told by the same front desk girl that they don't have the supplies for new donors. Keep in mind that when i called I was told to come on in without any mention of lack of supplies. Also I was told by another girl while I was there two days ago that they were definitely getting a delivery later that day. Either they staff doesn't want to do their job or this center is sloppy and not well run.
Amazing place to give plasma! Thomas in vitals is amazing, I have a fear of needles and my heart rate always pick up, but he makes me feel super comfortable and gets me to relax. The lady's on the floor are amazing as well I wish I knew all there names but they never miss a vein and I very rarely feel it even go into my skin! The staff is wonderful here. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!
All of the staff are amazing! Justin, Rhonda, Kelly, Vanessa, Syrina, Ivy?they are friendly, professional and do a great job! Every experience has been great! It's quick, a clean facility and pays well.
Cristina & Vanessa do & amazing job everytime I come in to donate. They have amazing customers service & are very efficient at their job!
The first time I went it took 3 hours, 10 minutes. Most everyone there was pleasant and thorough, though one of the receptionists had an defensive attitude. They aren't really clear on the money you receive. The second time I went I was a little skeptical because they used masking tape to hold the tubes to your arms, which I think is extremely inappropriate. The second time only took 1 hour, 10 minutes. The items I would improve at their facility is: GET RID OF THE MASKING TAPE!!! Even if the regular medica
I have a great experience every time I come here the people are kind caring take care of everything that needs to be taken care of very clean sterile environment I love saving lifes
I started coming here a couple of weeks ago and EVERYONE is so friendly and nice. The receptionists, To the phlebotomists, the doctors, and the managers . They've all been SUPER kind to me and very helpful. They're pros at they're job and never miss a stick. Not to mention, the compensation is way better than I've ever gotten and any other center. I wish I knew everyone's names who have been helping me each day, so I could name you hear and let you know how much I appreciate you. But you've seriously
Vanessa has stuck me a few times. She's the best and always pleasant and friendly and professional.
Christina is very fast and efficient while keeping a kind friendly demeanor. Really enjoyed her!
Awesome 1st experience! Thomas the Medical Screener Was An Absolute Pleasure! He Gives Grifols A Great Name , Just A All Around Good Experience Compared to other Local center! Thanks All Staff Members! I'll Be Back On The Regular !! ***** Had to come back and add the Fact that Devin the medical screener went OVER AND BEYOND to accommodate the finger stick for me ! He deserves employee of the Month I've never experienced such Customer Service in my life ! Thank you Devin
If I could give this place negative stars I would. All the women in the front are rude and snappy, not friendly to new comers who are trying to figure out how to donate. They roll their eyes when the phone rings. I had an appointment and they didn't accept my ID?s address because it wasn't within a 40 mile radius of the center and I can't be just some homeless person walking in. Mind you that's how exactly they talked to me, humiliating me further by telling me to go outside if I wasn't going to donate and
This review is specifically for Mallory . She did my vitals today and I feel that she has amazing charisma and a really positive attitude. If all of the centers had staff like her the world would be a far better place!!! Great job Mallory!!!
Had a great experience today. Vanessa did a great job. Very professional and personable!!
Well, due to a medication that I was talking; I could not donate today. Even so, I wanted to say thank you to every one of the staff members that I felt with. Special thanks to Tony. He was ultra friendly and incredibly professional. Even though he was busy, he made sure that everyone was being taken care of. It's great to see such a wonderful staff.
My husband and I come twice a week, he donates, I don't, but I wait for him so i get to experience the goings on of the day to day here. Most all the staff is amazing, they provide pizza and do fun events where you can win cool prizes all month long. The only small complaint I have is sometime the bank card they load funds onto doesn't always work.
Anyone who gave this place 5 stars must have gotten something out of it because I donate here like 4 times a month and have been for about a year now, and every SINGLE time I go, it's a horrible experience. They NEVER answer the phone. (I just called 8 times in a row and no one answered) And every time I go there, it takes forever to be taken care of because all the staff is too busy talking to each other or eating to do their jobs. Not even to mention my first time there, it took 7 hours just for them to
Went in on Tuesday and literally finished the whole process within an hour. (Idk why but my blood flows out quick) but no one was there when I got there so that deff played a part. The staff is always super friendly and funny. Candace has to be my favorite. I'm always happy to see her when she works because she never sticks me more than once and always gets me on the first time. She is always super fast and on top of her work. She makes my experience that much better. Thank you all for what you do.
It was my first visit. It was very busy. I had to fill out paperwork, take a photo, check my blood pressure, answer questions about medications and get a physical. Although time consuming, all the staff was doing their job and being thorough. Straight to the point as they should be. I appreciated all the staff and their attention to detail. I finally got approved and went in to the plasma center. They found my vein and I barely felt it. Easy and painless. Then I got $60 for my first visit. About 5 hours all
Awesome place. Friendly and helpful staff. I had an issue one time where I didn't get paid and they made sure it got fixed the very next day, they even called me to make sure everything was right. Good people. Easy money and you are helping people in need.
If I could I'd rate this place no stars! I waited over two hours and no body would ask me if I needed help until I went up to them myself. Employees are just standing around and gossiping instead of helping guests. Very ignorant and ghetto attitudes and no body seems to care about their job. It was a simple question to be asked and it took hours to just answer it. Get new staff and supervisors that actually care about what plasma does for people. I'm surprised this place isn't shut down or fined for the po
BPL is wonderful! Always a pleasure to see ALL of your Staff. At the front door I am greeted with smiles, my pulse usually runs high and everyone does everything they can to get it lowered which almost always works. When I see medical Jo Jo and Ms. Eileen are always great. The managers are always kind caring and helpful and when I get tot he donation floor your phlebotomists are professional and sweet. I have jumping rolling veins and they stick me right every time. Other places have given me hematomas. No
I interact with storm here a lot . She's always in a good mood and like she wants to be here. Any time I've asked her a question she's been able to answer, and if she wasn't completely sure she went and got the information for me. Really great at her job and lobe to walk up to the window and see her in it !
Absolutely unprofessional and the worst experience I've ever had at any medical facility. I have visited this place twice, and both times staff seem distracted or totally scatterbrained. No one knows what to do, no one seems trained, and no management is ever present front and center. This was our second visit, and it was as bad as the first. There were phlebotomist staff without masks on during a pandemic horse-playing in the waiting area. Other staff were doing scratch off lotto tickets right in the lobb
Answer your freaking phones. I live 40 minutes away and have driven out here twice now with the intent to donate and both times it's been a wasted round trip that could have been avoided if someone would have just answered the dang phone. Either that or hey, how bout this, call new donors the day before their scheduled appointment to make sure they have everything. Since supposedly your phones don't work right now, which I don't believe, I think your employees just don't want to have to answer calls or deal
Wait time is terrible even for returning customers ALWAYS not enough staff in the 1st part after the questioner 4 windows and only 2 windows or 1 open and people who are there are always turning off the light making the process longer .when you get to back are the head 2 Employees female and a male in the back in charge are always against each other trying to find fault in each other.you can feel the stress in the air. Everyone looks so miserable most of the times. They are not to experience in situations t
I went to donate plasma earlier today but as soon as I walked in there I changed my mind immediately after seeing not only the long lines of people but the fact that they all stand in line to go into the donation room which was just very reminiscent to me of cows lining up for Slaughter. While the receptionist was very nice after standing around for a few minutes and seeing the cleanliness or rather lack thereof as well as the general Vibe of the people standing in line I changed my mind immediately and le
I would give them more stars, but there are a few here who apparently like playing games and making you go back through the line. Ask me today what was on the flyer you take when you come in. I said the risks! There's like 500 on there She said he one. I was like are you kidding ? Puts me at the back of the line, then I get back up there and she tells me to go to medical cause I answered 1 question wrong. Now I'm at back of line again! Last time I had to go to back of line via medical because it took them
The facility is very clean. It is cold as it should be since it is a medical procedure. The staff is professional and very courteous, I felt very comfortable. The phlebotomist performed a wonderful job on locating my vein and inserting the needle, I had no bruising at all. The process was explained thoroughly. I enjoyed watching a movie while I donated. As a first time donor I was there approximately 3 hours, which I feel is reasonable since I have been a blood donor in the past and any process such as th
I always have the best experience when I come in. The staff is always friendly and nice. I love to to see Justin and Vanessa when I come in. They both have a great sence of humor and great personalites. I love coming here.
Christina did my first donor intake and she was super helpful, professional and had a great attitude!
Vanessa and Jillian are fabulous Super funny friendly and do there job efficiently and it's never painful
Fox is the best worker in Reception. She is always going above and beyond what she's aloud to do in her area I guess. She always treat's us Donor's like we are regular people and not that we are just donating plasma like others. I know that you are going to loose on of your best employee's at BPL Plasma if some issues aren't taking care of, I told her something I overheard when she wasn't there and was so disappointed in other employees for what they were saying since I have seen Fox help everyone. Sorry b
I will not go back to this location again. Experience has gotten gradually worse. Totally apathetic staff with ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE OF URGENCY ABOUT THEM WHEN IT GETS BUSY. Manager came out when things got busy and I was hoping it would speed things up, however it did not have any effect at all as the manager just joined in the lollygagging and gossiping with the other employees. It is blatantly obvious that these employees hate their job and it manifests itself in the way they treat thier customers. I don'
I had a great experience when I was there had a friendly helper named Cristina I'd definitely be back
I'm not sure why you are so cheap with the help, or saying the staff is bad but you continue to run understaffed constantly bringing new doners in. This was originally the main reason I switched facilities a few months ago was because of centers being so tight on payroll. PAY Your people and they will show up for work, if you don't have enough help do not open until you get properly staffed. It's the only proper way to operate a business
Was nervous coming here, but ended up being a great experience. New donor so it took from about 9-1245 to do everything. Everyone was nice, the phlebotomist did a painless stick and made me feel comfortable. Will go again when ready!
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
