I recently visited this facility with the intention of donating plasma, but unfortunately, my experience was far from positive. While the associate who initially checked me in was courteous and answered all my questions, my interaction with Nurse Robin left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I disclosed my seasonal allergies and explained that I had not taken my allergy medication today, as I was unsure if it would affect my eligibility to donate. Rather than receiving guidance, Nurse Robin was more f

For the last four months they have been so slow whenever I try to come in. Not to mention how the last two times a team member stuck me they bruised me so I requested them not to stick me on me time and they treated me very rudely! Definitely not ran how this place used to be. I would only recommend going if you don't value your own personal time or have nothing to do for the next two to three hours. The process used to take an hour, even when packed now even when it's slow it takes two hours minimum and st

The lady staff who were assisting me today were so wonderful! Very helpful and considerate??. Marisol especially I could say was the best there she made sure I had no problems with donating plasma today !9

Cowardly, incompetent liars. Will use any possible excuse to waste your time under the guise of corporate rules. Far too many issues to list but as someone who has donated for over 2 years can just say they are running this center into the ground. Previously put that you should get your donations in while you still can because it's very unlikely to be around for long but doubt that now since it is the worst people that prosper especially in this vile garbage town.

Staff can be rude. I was brought to donation section and while they were Setting up I asked if I could use the bathroom. When I came back I heard a worker talking about me to another donor saying I was inconsiderate for leaving to use the bathroom other people are waiting to donate. Then she had someone else help Hook me up to the machine. Which made me feel very uncomfortable. When I came back to visit she gave me a look like i disgust her or something. You don't get warm welcomes seems like employee are

I've noticed some changes recently with the donation process. Since I started donating in January, the service has generally been on time, and the staff has been great. However, in the past few months, the waiting room has been much busier, and the process takes significantly longer. Today, I had a 4:30 appointment, and it's now 5:00, and I still haven't been called for screening. The staff is clearly doing their best, so this isn't their fault. It seems like too many appointments are being scheduled for th

Sadly do not recommend this place at all. They have unfit conditions for employees and their donors. AC is busted so they only have little fans on the floor. If you are familiar with donating the increase in heat causes more potential risks of clotting while donating. Management has received many complaints to no avail of fixing. Expecting delays or lack of supplies is very normal. Have donated at this place for a long time till seeing the rapid decline in the professionalism and cleanliness. Very common fo

I have donated four times now. I was instantly impressed at the professional and kind nature of the staff. There were a lot of regulars, and the staff talked to them like friends. I am always treated well and the whole operation runs smoothly and pretty painlessly.

After trying several times, I give up. I call and get put on hold and no one comes back. Woman at front is obnoxious. I can see why they are slow as 2 women (staff) were bickering, and a donor was asking for a manager because the guy who was to hook her up poked her several times and then she had to wait for someone else. Also - it's hot as HELL in there! They don't have air conditioning???? At a medical facility? It's 2024.

They cannot be bothered to pick up a phone, as the recent reviews have said, the quality of this place has dropped dramatically. When they reply on Google Reviews they direct you to a 'contact us' page that never gives a response. They are pros here at giving the run around, minimum work for minimum wage I imagine, hardly blame the staff, just disappointing that I've seen plasma donation centers on the ratty ends of the West coast do better than this place does as the closest Biomat to the Fredrick/Hagersto

I returned to donate plasma after 5 years . I was told I was going to receive compensation as if I were a new donor. First visit was very pleasant. They treated you very nicely and made it seem like they care. The second visit I was left feeling used and left with only $40 not the promised $100. I wasn't made aware that I would be receiving a lower amount until I checked the portal. I called to discuss my grievance and was told if I felt so strongly about it I'm not allowed to return. This place is a scam a

One thing I'll say is that they never hardly answer the phones. I'm pretty sure I overheard someone tell of the employees there to leave the phone off the hook?. I can't tell you how many?s times I've tried calling both the reception desk and management. No one answers. Very frustrating. I'm not going to drive in just to find out there aren't any more appointments today. Why have a phone if you're not going to pick it up?!?!? However the Staff is always super friendly and nice!! Such a convenient location!

echoing everything the other reviews said, nobody has a clue what theyre doing here and theyre impossible to get in contact with, the phone just hangs up after 3 rings. their website says my next appointment is in 2297 and wont let me schedule a new one and i am having an incredibly hard time figuring out why its like that. and honestly the money isnt even that good for having to get my own food and hydration and just being treated as human cattle tbh

Usually no problems. But today was awful. Drove 40 minutes to sit and wait over a hour. Donate and start to head home. Check the balance on the paysign card and no money had been transferred. Called for over an hour and the phone rings 3 times then disconnects. Can't get through on a manager's line either. It's been 5 hours and still nothing when it usually takes less then 20 minutes fir the money to show up. I'm more upset that no one will answer the damn phone. Completely unacceptable.

With 1 in 2 people having the chance of getting cancer in their lifetime, it may be a good idea to put on your website and to ask if someone has had cancer,BEFOREHAND. If I would have known when I walked in and made the appointment for the next day, I would have not made the effort to come in, give all of my information to the staff to have it copied and then be brought back and told because I have had cancer, 6 years ago, I am not eligible to donate. I wanted my information back and then was told that no,

They get one star for the staff on the floor who do put forth an effort and try to make it a positive experience. They have a few really good people. Management would score a zero if that option existed. I have donated on and off for several years, not out of necessity but because I recognize the need plasma serves to both research and direct medical treatment. However, today I finally had enough of this facility. There have been countless times I have had to wait an hour, sometimes two to be called

There are some good phlebotomists here that can stick you just fine and there are some that are not so good and will leave you bleeding and in severe pain. Next time I get one of the bad ones I'm going to refuse to let them stick me.

I have donated here multiple times over the the past few years. My schedule has prevented me from coming regularly recently but after receiving a coupon to return within a certain timeframe, I adjusted my schedule to come today. I was surprised how many donors were waiting in front of me, and employees mentioned how short staffed they were. Multiple kiosks were down and the urinal was not in use, which was an inconvenience but didn't dissuade me from waiting over an hour to be called for my screening. After

Really nice people that work there. Such a waste of time. I got sent away because i ate way more than i normally do in the morning and it wasn't enough. I did all my research and got sent away two times so i wont be trying again. They did mention they were way over booked so i think it was because they needed to get people to leave.

They are all confused at this place. The people that work there had no idea what's going on they tell you one thing on the phone you get there if something totally different so you pretty much waste a whole day for nothing if I can get negative Stars I would. I got turn away for stay at a shelter. And not having a permanent address but came in the morning they said come back at 2 and looked at everything and said ok. Get back at 2. Oh you don't have a permanent address so you can't donate welp I will never

The staff is the best with all around respect in upbeat positive atmosphere. Experienced and knowledgeable phlebotomists make this facility great!

Usually no problem with getting in for appointment. Last several times, I had to wait at least 30 minutes after scheduled appointment for my vitals to be taken. Then after donation, it takes them at least 10 minutes to release me from machine. Time is important to nobody here. All this for a paltry $40.00

Donating for well over a year at this location weekly is getting old. I call before going into this location almost every walk in/appointment & never is my call picked up. I've without a doubt in mind called this number 100 times in the last 12 months with no answers. I drive 35 minutes both ways to be turned away way too often because when I called to make an appointment or couldn't find out the protein test results deciding my donation, nobody picked up. Please start answering the phones

I literally got here at 2:45 and they are just now sticking me at 340, 3 other people including me waiting to be stuck. The person that's supposed to be sticking isn't even worried about sticking us. Doing other stuff instead, and the other one is on the computer

I drove 30 min to be turned away from this place. I have donate for years never been turned away. Then when I ask for another person to check my veins they told me no else could say if I would be allowed to donate. So they only have one person experience enough to check veins but the fun the first girl would check my veins could feel them But the almighty Megan did check my husband veins diend me no this place I would not tell anyone to come

Staff is very friendly but the wait time is ridiculous even with a scheduled appointment. They need more staffing.

The staff are wonderful! Clean environment, relaxed atmosphere and the more you donate, the more money they give you! I have never had a bad experience since I started donating here in 2018.

Staff is great. Very clean. A little cold but its a necessity so bring a blanket or jacket to cover up. I've tried to donate at other places before and it was not as nice as experience or as clean as Frederick. If your looking to help save lives this is the place to go (-: ????????????????????

Didn't know you could on donate twice in a week had to be from Sunday to Sunday. Came Saturday then tried on a Monday and got paid 40 for both visits. When I pointed that they didn't clearly say that and why are you allowed to donate for the first Saturday or Sunday then it's you already signed the consent. To them everyone is a drug addict.

Friendly staff, pleasant experiences. The payout is good if you can tolerate being a donor. Best to schedule appointments in advance- they fill up fast , more so on weekends and at the end of their ?payout month?.

The staff here is always very accommodating (and typically remember who you are/something about you, which is uncommon in today's world.) I have had some blood pressure/pulse issues and they always go out of their way to make me as comfortable as possible in order to pass through to donate.

So hit and miss with the wait time. The staff is cool but management never has enough people working. I always have a one to three hour wait before I'm seen which is really bad because you can never know what to plan for and if your not careful your whole days plans can be messed up. Until they fix this problem they will always have one star in my book. Also they say they have wifi but it never works.

What an incredibly friendly staff! I was unable to donate because of my previous health condition, but the staff was so kind, friendly, and understanding. I felt like I wasted their time, but they reassured me that it was fine. I learned a lot while there. Thank you.

Horrible service I live farther away, and I called beforehand to make sure they were accepting new donors drove over half hour to be told that they are not today!!! Awful avoidant people who don't have the balls to take responsibility for their mistake!!!

The staff here is consistently professional and kind. Start to finish always a pleasant experience.

I had the same bad experience continuously with seemingly the same girl as the below reviews. I think her name is Fatima, and she was a short, young hispanic woman, (same description as the others had left). When I first came in she said I couldn't donate because of a medication, I understood the problem, so she told me to come back after it was out of my system. When I returned a week later, this same girl (assumingely didn't recognize me) told me that in order to donate I would have to get a medication pa

The people are def sweet and even at times when their short handed they work hard to get you set up at the appropriate time. I think if they did more for employees then the staffing could grow more. Overall great services.

Ive been donating here almost a year. Super clean and efficient facility. Professional, friendly staff. Easy scheduling and pre donor questionnaire through the app. Highly recommend.

The wait time is completely unreasonable. Years ago they used to take appointments; I'm not sure why they've stopped. I've had to stop donating due to waiting over an hour to be seen. Some of the staff is super nice/efficient/capable; others are not.

This place is so horrible... many of the staff members are very polite but the upper management are so rude. They have no customer service skills and arbitrarily make up random rules about when people can come in to donate. The worst thing about this place is the way the upper management speaks to the donors. I would rather get a part time job and know how much I'm getting, and times I need to put in. With this, they can turn you away without a valid reason other than they didn't staff themselves properly.

I had the same exact horrible experience as Victoria below with the intaker ?Fatima/fayoma? She treated me like I was the dumbest box of rocks because I didn't understand the ?high school level quiz? that she NEVER explained! ?I don't think you comprehended the test? (Her words) What a rude rude rude person! I'm happy to see that I am not the only person who had an unpleasant experience with this person. Goes to show she is definitely at fault. Went home feeling discouraged because of YOUR employee. Instea

I drove here from Bethesda MD 1 hour and 10 min. First, find the place was so tricky. I was a little frustrating. You have to call the front desk to ask for indications. But what bothered me the most was that after 3 hours of MY TIME doing paper work and runtine exams to see if was FINE. They sat me down to start the process of donating. In that moment the staff (all of them were very kind) come to the conclusion that my veins are so thin and that my time was all wasted. Of course they didn't offer any c

The staff is A+++ from the moment I walk in, till I leave. They have always been friendly and helpful. The facility is clean, and the donation process is peaceful and quick if you have been drinking a lot of water. I highly recommend this establisment!

Idk why the bad reviews. Every time I have been there I received excellence from staff. Very friendly and attentive. Recommended.

WASTE OF TIME. Let's cut to the worst part of my experience here? Whatever SHORT Spanish girl who works here, I think her name was FIYOMA / AEYOMA or something like that. She is horrible at intake and rude to the extent that you just don't want to donate plasma anymore. Not only was she giving me dirty looks.. Instead of helping me with a brief quiz, she told me that I didn't understand and basically belittled me and chastised me about what I should?ve learned in high school. I am years out of high school w

Very pleasant staff, EXCEPT......for one. The reason I give 2 stars is because when I went in (first time there), I asked where to sign in and a lady said, "Sit down and someone will call you." (She was busy having a personal convo with another employee and not work related.) Well, how could anyone call me if they don't even know who I am?? So I sat down, waited till she left, which was about 5 or 10 mins later and walked back up and asked a different employee if I should sign in. She said, oh yes, of cour

If you mess up with anything you have to do for them, there are no excuses, you lose, you eat it. If they screw up it's oh well with an unapologetic "I'm sorry" terrible customer service from management. They send emails about increases in your pay then once you give they refuse to pay you what they advertised. The lower level employees are good but you can tell management makes them hate life. Occasionally they breakdown to you about how poorly management treats them. The institute rule changes always to k

If you're a local, itd be nice. As someone who has to drive an hour its a waste of time. I went through a four hours of a first visit and excited to donate again, but when I called to make an appointment i was told they dont make appointments via phone. My initial appointment was made via phone (the website claims you can even make appointments digitally but the link is broken), and no where did i see did it say no appointments by phone. They close at 7, but stop walk ins at 430. Unfortunately, since I

I've been coming here for a few years and don't regret it. The facility is clean and organized, the staff is knowledgeable, professional, and caring, and the changes they've undergone to make the donation process easier has been a success. I recommend coming here to anyone thinking of donating plasma.

The staff is very professional ! The only thing that needs to change is getting staff that is good at doing sticks! Their is only three people that know how to do a decent stick and it's Eisha, Jay, and Eli! Jay is retiring soon so someone in their needs to get a person that knows how to do deep veins and difficult sticks ! Also it makes no sense, when you go on a Monday and a Weds and lets say you aren't able to make it on weds because something came up, you have to wait till the following week on Monday t

I have been coming to Grifols Biomat USA on 40 for 2+ years. In that time, I have regularly recommend donating plasma to anyone looking to help people out and make money for themselves and their families. The donation center is clean, competently staffed, and has excellent hours of operation. Do yourselves and your community a favor by signing up for donation today.

Nice place but website is woefully out of date in terms of what you need to bring with you. Don't be surprised if you follow it to a T and still don't have what you need because the rules are not adequately explained. So prepare to waste your time. Even staff admitted the website has not been properly updated in years. Get on that, IT department, it's misleading. Be advised that though the website says the facility is open until 7pm, that doesn't actually mean anything because they often can't accept more

Staff always Friendly. Customer service always a plus. Only thing annoying is new donors being rude and complaining about how long it takes when its explained that your first time could be up to 3 hours.

This particular Plasma Center has an very professional and knowledgeable staff! Everyone is friendly and helpful here! Helping saving lives gives you this great feeling deep within! Come experience this for yourself and learn how you're able to help others in need!

I don't understand why no one ever answers the phone... I have been trying to get a hold of someone all day and no one answers. I just wanted to find out if my protein results are back which are taking forever to come back. Its really making me mad

I have been a long time donor and have seen the many changes. The main corporate office decided to test new procedures for donating at this location and it has made every step of the process as frustrating as possible. It can take over two hours before you are even allowed to donate plasma. Add on another hour for the donation process itself. The donors are not paid very well when compared to other plasma donations centers. The only redeeming quality of this facility is the nonchalant staff.

I'm giving this two stars because when I called the receptionist, she cut me off constantly before I could ask any questions to get information, put me on hold, and had someone else talk to me. I'm not one of those people to be rude and I value customer service so I didn't appreciate "Carol" being so curt with me. I didn't even have time to get out a complete sentence. Anyway, for those trying to donate, call first. The automated message will tell you you need SSN proof, photo ID (current), proof of addres

So many friendly faces working at the plasma center! Great compensation for donations & fantastic bonuses! Even when things are slow, it's fun talking with workers :) I appreciate ehat you guys do here.

You can tell they are force to be nice to patients or customers however you want to call it.. Also takes a lot of time when you go to give your donation. I did it twice because they told me onces will not work you have to do ot at least twice for your plasma to be use and I want it to help so I did it but I dont feel like coming back there.

The staff is fantastic. The facility is clean and well-run. Highly recommend if you are interesting in giving back to others through the gift of plasma donation.

My marriage ended due to going to donate only 3 times. I was told i could not donate because i had HIV, i freaked out and asked my wife of 4 years if she had been cheating on me, of course she said no. we both got tested at 3 different places, ALL NEGATIVE. Biomat insists that i have HIV according to blood tests. I do not. Confirmed by 3 seperate doctors with blood tests. If you want HIV or worse, go ahead and donate, you will regret it. i'm now divorced because my wife did not appreciate me asking if she c

Great awesome facility with an amazing staff that treats donors as family. I've never had a bad experience; I truly recommend this facility to anybody looking to join me in saving lives.

Adrian is always friendly and personable! The staff is always pleasant and knowledgeable. Great place to earn a little with free time and its for a great cause

I've been coming here since July now, everyone?s verte nice and polite. Coming here feels like somewhere to go for a quick break during a crazy week two times outta the week and is very welcoming.

I got turned away cause of where I live, these guys are always like this everytime, last time they anit take me for small crack in my iD how are you try help ppl, but turn away people for bogus reason I drove 1 he 30mins, GOO TO OCTOPHARM!!!!

Kind of weird at first. But once you do it a few times, it's no big deal. The staff is courteous and professional. The donors aren't the desperate winos I was expecting, either

Staff is AWESOME ALWAYS. Sometimes there is a long wait but it is worth it. Great cause. So many people are in need of plasma

They do have Sunday hours. I love the staff they are AMAZING! Update 10-16 they don't have Sunday hours anymore and it's been very under staffed the last few times I have. I haven't been back in weeks.

I love the staff here! They know how to make you feel welcome and make the donating process enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Helping others by giving blood is important . Plus they help me when my now x-supervisor Adatsi Godwin terminated me from Broadway Security, I had no $ but giving the blood helped me with gas and food also he is now front desk supervisor at hcgh. Good for him. Hopefully he'll be where I was one day...broke.

Staff is always professional and friendly. I've donated twenty times and have never had a bad experience with this center.

Been donating for about 2 years now, employees come and go but they never change in hospitality and making the donor feel welcome and comfortable with donating. Definitely worth the effort.

Nicest staff on the planet, always efficient & friendly!! My DCT today, Adrian, was extremely helpful & wise. This is the #1 place I will go to for my plasma donation needs.

Really amazing place! Clean and organized. The staff are super helpful and kind. It is amazing to give back like this at a great place like Biomat plasma Frederick MD.

The staff is great. But the wait time is crazy anymore. Sometimes you can be in there for almost 4 hours for a donation. They need more staff.

Been donating for a couple years now, and it's been a great experience. Staff is friendly and the bonus offers keep improving! I definitely recommend donating here to anyone who's interested!

The staff are really friendly to me as a deaf individual. They make me feel welcome?. Every time! And cared for!

Appt was at 2:30, called at 2:30 to let them know that I was going to be 10 min late (crash on the highway) and was told that they couldn't accommodate me. Guess they don't need plasma that bad!

I have a great experience going in every time. The staff is takes great care of me every time I come.

I've been donating for a few years in Frederick. Always a great experience. Facility is very clean and the staff is exceptional. I highly recommend donating plasma.

Great place to donate. I go to the one in Frederick Maryland. The staff are really great! Very nice and clean facility.

This is a great way to help others a d make a little cash yourself! Staff is friendly and provide a comfortable and clean environment

Pretty solid staff never have a bad experience personally. Had a newer person stick me and it's going fine.

Awesome employees and great to help others while earning money. I donate twice a week and it's quick and easy.

They are all so happy to see you and very personal. Very good place to donate i refuse to go back to the other place.

Staff is friendly, always smiling, and willing to listen?

I would not recommend this place at all to anyone I just called and no body picks up phone amd when i do get in touch with somone it's like it's an inconvenience I want them to set my apointment after this month I'm not danating ever again their especially if I am not wanted I would not recommend this place at all

Good way to earn some extra money while helping save lives. They regularly send bonuses and the process is virtually painless.
