I have been donating here for over a year and have loved it. The workers are friendly and professional. They do great at sticking and are usually fast. From the time I get in to when I leave it usually only takes me 1 hour. The compensation is pretty good too as long as you are donating twice a week. I haven't really seen anywhere that pays better. Highly recommend.
I've been a consistent donor for nearly 3 years. Up until about 2 months ago, my experiences have been quite positive. However, the rollout of a new software recently has made me question my desire to come back. I saw an ad promoting the new software that suggested it would save donors an average of 7 minutes per donation. However, my donation times have nearly doubled, from ~40 minutes to usually ~75 minutes or more. It seems this increase has been pretty universal; I haven't spoken to anyone whose donatio
It used to be very quick and worthwhile, now the past month or so the machines go super slow during the final return which has added another 30 minutes to each donation. My recent donations have been going over 1.5 hours which makes me question if the compensation is worth it anymore.
Employees well trained and knowledgeable about the process. I found it goes smoother than other plasma centers. A lot of their machines are just really old, takes a long time to donate and protein scanners are very inconsistent.
Pretty terrible center. I've donated on and off for over ten years and at this center I had an infiltration get ignored and most recently got deferred due to an employees negligence and ignorance. When trying to contact management I was told there's nothing they can do and that I get deferred for 8 weeks and miss about $1400 of income. I was told I'd be contacted by the managers manager and a week has gone by and nothing but crickets. I typically have a lot of patience but this is just the quest service I'v
Yo, I love this location! The staff are so nice and welcoming. I love chatting with Christian, Kayla, Isaac, Thomas, Abby and the rest!
alex did a great job taking my plasma. she explained everything so perfectly, could not have made for a better experience. Abby also was so friendly and kind and helped with my donation so much.
I love donating plasma here! The process is smooth and everyone is super nice. I've become good friends with a lot of people that work and donate here, free money never hurt either.
Every time I've gone to this place, I've had an excellent experience. The staff is sociable and competent, the machinery cared for and safe, I always enjoy donating at my local plasma place!
Wouldn't even try to stick my arm even though I have two good veins on each arm and have donated at another place before. These phlebotomists are not confident in there skills at all if they can't stick a vein that has been stuck multiple times with success.
Kayla and Abby were amazing! In the past it has taken me over an hour. But with them it was twice as fast and very smooth
It is so unpleasant to donate at this location due to the phlebotomists acting like loud obnoxious high school students. They are so loud, noise cancelling headphones, blasting in my ear can't overpower the volume of their voices. I've spoken to their ?management? several times and nothing has changed. In my opinion they aren't living up to a high donor experience when they prioritize their personal conversations (loud enough to be heard through anything plugging up one?s ear).
Really enjoy the staff that set up the draws. They do everything they can to make sure you're comfortable during the entire process. My frustrations are with the Grifols company and changing policies that requires the donor to donate more, but isn't compensating them for it, in fact its less $$ than its been in the past 2 years.
Nobody seems to know what the compensation schedule is there, and they don't post it in the app or in the lobby. How am I supposed to agree to accept the cash payment in exchange for my plasma if nobody knows how much I'll be given? Best answer I got from an employee was that it was probably similar to past months. Little help to me if I didn't donate the past couple of months. You aren't a new startup. You're an grown up business. Get your crap together.
I had a bad reaction from donating, and they were extremely quick coming to help. They made sure I was comfortable and I felt very taken care of and comforted. All the staff was very friendly.
I come here for one reason?to make extra money. Regardless of my intentions, I am a regular donor, and I assume my contributions are at least somewhat important. Like any workplace, this center has its issues. However, I am frequently met with employees who seem to have nothing but absolute contempt for both their jobs and the donors who come here. On the floor, you can hear them openly mocking donors and complaining about their work. While this may not apply to everyone, I suspect many employees know exac
I don't understand. I went up with the simple question of ?can someone with type 1 diabetes donate?? They said they couldn't tell me until I had a physical. In order to have a physical, I have to make an account and they have to have a ton of my information, answer 70 questions, and test my blood. Once all of that was done, they took me to a room and told me I couldn't donate because I have type 1 diabetes. Nice people. Just would have been nice to know diabetics can't donate before I wasted an hour there.
Every time I go to donate the phlebotomists are super friendly and do everything they can to make sure you are comfortable. Unlike Biolife, Grifols has plenty of appointments and are quick to take you back to start your donation.
By far my favorite center I've ever donated at. The people are amazing and so trustworthy - especially my regulars Nicholai, Josh, Michael, and my girl Anahid. Cannot recommend these people and this place enough - I'll come here till I die! (Not by blood loss either)
I had a bad reaction to first donation and the staff was so kind and reassuring to me. connor and Nicholai were very kind when I felt like I was going to pass out. I'm definitely going here again
When I first started donating 2 years ago you could make 725 a month. They keep lowering how much they pay you. Now?s it's only 460 if you donate 8 times. They also take more plasma now than they used to. Used to only 800 ml now they take upwards of 985 ml. Also workers are often stand around and talk and aren't in a rush to help you. Overall they lack transparency and have consistently lowered the amount you make while increasing the amount of plasma you donate. And they try to sell it like they are making
Staff are nice, you get to help people, and you get paid for sitting on your phone for an hour. Definitely solid
Workers are always friendly and fun to talk with. Definitely a good environment and a safe place to be phlabothemmed. Typically there's some type of wait because they have so many patrons so it's best to schedule for slower times in the middle of the day.
Alex was an amazing phlebotomist, she explained everything super well and was very helpful. I'm terrified of needles and the Alex made all the difference.
I have really enjoyed my experience donating at Grifols. I have been donating consistently for over 3 years and plan on doing so as long as I live in the area. The staff are very friendly and I have never had any sort of incident with the placement of the needle in the 3+ years I have donated at this location. I have seen particularly excellent care and effort to connect with the donors from Christian, Nate S, Ivan, and JP. It has been a very good way to supplement my income and it goes to a good cause as w
Biomat in Provo is awesome! It's super quick service, and the staff are always attending to your needs right away. Check in always goes smoothly and my donation is always consistent. Shout out to Ivan, Christian, and Tyler. Best plasma center in Utah.
Easily the best plasma center I've been to! It is ran so well. Every donation is quick and painless!
They are pretty bad at clearly posting the compensation schedule anywhere. A couple of years ago, they stopped posting in the lobby. Now, in the app, they don't reliably put it up, they willalso take it down early towards the end of the month. Tried their contact form to ask about it, and there was no response. I've asked some of the workers once or twice, and they even mentioned they had no idea what it was for the month. I'm not going to agree to take the full cash payment if I don't know what I'm getting
I love this place! Everyone is so nice and friendly. They are super fast with getting us in and out.
I've been coming here for a while now. Everyone does a good job especially Abbey :)
It was a very good experience, the staff was great, especially Isaac. The environment was very relaxed and comfortable. I would highly recommend donating plasma here!
I've been coming to this location in and off when I need some extra cash since 2012, I started coming back again this year after a long break and this place has really gone downhill. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff is not what it used up be, but it's still plenty passable. The reason for the bad review though is the procedure or lack there of. Usually it's one or two things but today was epitome of it all. I've never been a fan of making my arm with the same pen you married the last 100 peop
The staff is extremely friendly. And the appointment times are always right on. I've never had to wait more than 10 to 15 minutes once or twice in three years.
I'm tired of having to weight for a dc because guys just want to go talk to the girls instead of the donor that finished first. Does anybody else hate the crap responses companies give you when they want to pretend that they care? Why do you guys have to keep changing everything? Get your crap together.
I've been coming to this location for years now. The staff is phenomenal. They are well trained and friendly. With one exception. This would be a 5-star review if it weren't for this guy. A fairly recent hire in the floor clearly and openly dislikes his job. He is often contentious with and rude to the other phlebotomists. I dread seeing that he'll be doing my stick. He is never focused nor effecient. If these were a mere irritation or annoyance I wouldn't say anything, but I genuinely feel less comfortabl
Super great staff. Ashley K is super efficient. Couldn't even feel the finger prick she did! Nate S is also the best he's super friendly to everyone donating and a hard worker.
Great staff!! Sometimes there's a big wait even if you've signed up for a slot, but usually pretty quick.
I've been donating for ten years at this location. They have streamlined the process over the past ten years and it is more convenient than it used to be. One complaint is that they used to assign phlebotomists to bays, which meant that as you donated you had someone to talk to. The donors and phlebotomists would have a conversation as the process went on. Now the phlebotomists don't stay in a bay, they all go to wherever they need to set up machines, so the phlebotomists don't really talk to donors anymo
This place had the most amazing staff! Everyone is so nice and welcoming and they are super efficient at getting me in and out quickly!!
One of the best places you can donate at. Other Phlebotomists (workers) from other plasma centers come out of there way to donate here because they know there is competent workers. You can have the assurity of having some of the best staff members know what they are doing and will go above and beyond to ensure your safety. The staff is welcoming especially the phlebotomist. Of course there are accidents and mistakes made. That is some of the risks that come with donating plasma. However seeing a couple oth
Pretty good place overall. Good prices, friendly staff. Long wait times in the afternoons especially on some days, but I can't really complain too much about basically free money
Staff and facility was nice, but they cost me money. Had I known that you can't have an RV park address to donate, I wouldn't have wasted my time or my money.
The staff is incredible! Always engaging and personable. Best place to donate!
Solid place to donate. I go 2x a week and the crew is always happy and energetic and are very efficient with their work
The staff here are great! I have been going here for a while and have never had a phleb not be able to stick my vein on the first try. They are all very friendly and willing to help/answer questions. Occasionally, they are running behind but they are always apologetic about it. I am almost always in and out in less than 90 minutes. Today I really appreciated Johnny helping me with any concerns I had
Josh Curtis is the best worker by far! Very social, very respectful and friendly
I want so badly for this location to be good because it's right by my apartment but they miss the mark over and over again. I've tried and tried to just put up with it but it never gets better. Pros: - convenient location Cons: - staff is unprofessional. yelling across bays about inappropriate things, talking and messing around while people are waiting. - wait times are out of control. Scheduling ahead is pointless as you'll still be behind 20 others when you get there. Whole process has taken 3+ hours o
Clean facilities and nice staff. Everyone does their job and is very attentive. Never had any issues before. Also great promotions.
I come to this place twice a week and every time it is a great experience. The staff are really personable and good at what they do. There are some reviews that comment on wait times but I've never really had an issue with it, though it may be due to the times I come in to donate
Some of the staff is really nice and quick but a LOT of them are so unprofessional and spend so much time chatting with each other, basically yelling across the room, sometimes even throwing things at each other. The whole donation process takes way longer than it should because of this and I feel like they aren't careful or focused for people who are about to stick a needle in my arm. I'm excited to go to a different location when I move.
The waiting periods have been pretty long on Thursdays, but they are amazing in how kind and ready to help they are. Sarah helped me out today, she's only her second week working here and she did so well! I barely felt it and donating was a breeze.
Painless experience and super friendly staff. Nate S in particular is really great at making you feel welcome and showing an interest in your hobbies. Love coming here.
Abby is the greatest phlebotomist on the planet- thanks for being epic.
I always have a great experience here, especially with Christian! He always does an amazing job and is very friendly. I'm not sure what he's being paid but he deserves a raise!! Cannot say enough good things about him.
Wait times are getting ridiculous. I was fine with 30 minutes and sometimes an hour, but today I waited close to 90 minutes before I was even called to screen. I don't know about anyone else, but so don't have time to carve out 3-4 hours of my night to go donate. And there were people there before me that hadn't even been called. I love donating, I love the people who work there, but they all looked overworked and exhausted. I wish grifols was more considerate of their employees? work, and their donors time
Some of the staff are very efficient and help you quickly. Others will carry on a full 15 min conversation with another member before helping you. Really adds a lot to extra time to a process that shouldn't take that long. I do donate fairly often and enjoy the extra income and 90% of the staff are quick and focused.
Izaak is the best!!! Everytime I come in he makes the experience so fun and easy!
Biomat USA is an absolute game-changer in the world of plasma donation centers. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted with warmth and professionalism. Their dedication to donor safety and the quality of plasma collected is truly commendable. Knowing that my donations are contributing to life-saving therapies for various medical conditions gives me a sense of fulfillment like no other. The fact that donors are compensated for their time is just the cherry on top, ensuring both safety and
Ive come here for two years, recently they have changed a lot of things making the process more painful for everyone. THEY USED TO PLAY SUCH GOOD MUSIC AND EVEN HAD MOVIES EVERY NOW AND THEN!! .. Now, you sit in silence or hear weird music that is played over the speakers. They used to have good music and an upbeat atmosphere. I am disappointed. I am switching to bio life tomorrow :(
The best part about this center is the amazing staff. They're friendly and helpful, professional and welcoming.
The new seating system often leaves me waiting for a stick or even to get screened for 30+ minutes, and according to staff it offers no real workflow improvement. Sure, donor times appear lower, but I'd wager that statistic comes from pushing longer untracked waits down to the donor. Moreover, the removal of music playing in the donation bays makes the entire experience too quiet and nearly awkward. The staff are more stressed and reserved than usual dealing with the added tension of the seating, and now th
I stopped donating for awhile and came back a few months ago. Unlike most donation places that can be packed, the Provo location provides quick and friendly service. I haven't had any issues with pokes, as they do a great job and are on time to get you ready to go after donating. I recommend this place 100%!
I've been donating here off and on for a few years and overall it's been great. I am disappointed that I went in today after getting a text and email offering me a bonus to come in. When I showed the staff the text and email they told me they would not honor it and they seemed upset like I was putting them out. They said they would give me half of what the text and email said. That is pretty lame and if it was my first experience with them I would never go back and think they were dishonest. Thankfully that
I come here often; the employees are always very friendly and helpful, and the environment is great. But recently, the plasma center has been understaffed and overbooked. Some days the wait time is more than an hour, at which point coming in to donate really isn't worth it.
Sucks to give a low review because I love this place and it is great. Staff has been great Ivan, Sam, and Jared in particular are awesome. I called last week to adjust my scheduled appointment a bit but I needed to make sure I was able to still donate on tues. And thurs. for this month (to get 10 donations) and the guy at the desk said I'd be good to make my change. This week I'm told that it won't work, and not only am I shorted that last donation $100 for the month, but I'd have to skip a week to get bac
I just wanted to shout out Cam and Taylor who helped me out the other day when I wasn't feeling good. All of the staff there has been easy to talk to and very kind but these two really put in the time and effort to make sure I was okay. Their patience, expertise, and non judgmental attitudes are just part of what makes them stellar. Thank you both (and everyone at this plasma center) so much. :)
Very nice workers! Ivan and Eliza helped me today and they were very friendly and great at their job! Ivan did a perfect job getting me set up, it practically didn't hurt at all! The workers are always very efficient and they have gotten a lot of new equipment recently that makes the process much faster. They also have great rewards that are very motivating!
ive seen a ton of these reviews saying the employees were mean and people have had a bad experience here, but that was the absolute nicest staff ive ever had the pleasure of meeting, it was my first time and they helped me out beautifully. I had even gone in the morning so yes i mean the morning crew, AMAZING PEOPLE
Took me a while to feel totally comfortable, but I've actually made friends here! Donating has helped us pay for vacations on vacations. A great opportunity! They lose a star because they don't play movies on Saturday mornings anymore. Great business
I've donated at this place for years and I really appreciate how clean it is. The staff, especially Cameron, (the tall one :) ), are super friendly and always seem to have a smile on their faces. Cameron did my physical and he was super friendly and professional. Recommend donating at this place. ??
I've been going here for a while and it's been a good experience, but the only bummer is the wait times. Sometimes you come in at your appointment time and have to wait over 30 minutes before you can start donating. It'd be nice if it was quicker.
Excellent opportunity to help in the treatment of other people's illnesses and receive a small monetary compensation. Excellent attention and service.
I donated donated for the first time a few days ago and the staff took such good care of me. I felt a little sick for a bit because it was my first time and my body was getting used to donating. The staff gave me granola bars and Powerade and helped me feel better:) overall it was a good experience and I've made an appointment to go back!
My experience here was great! Taylor lighthall did my physical/intake stuff and she was great. All the risks and questions made me a little nervous but she reassured me and made me feel like I was safe and in good hands. Matt jager did my stick and got it on the first try! I've always been nervous to donate but Matt made the experience very stress free and fun.I'll definitely be coming back!
Loved coming to this center. Felt like they were all professional and efficient. They work with a sense of urgency and I think it's because they recognize my time is valuable. I never felt uncomfortable and always felt extremely safe. Totally recommend this place to all my friends. The staff make you feel like you're apart of the team.
The staff were so kind and helpful! As someone who's terrified of needles they did very thing they could to help me feel relaxed, not see the needle, and humor me and laugh. Super kind amazing best experience I've had
I've donated here for the last 6 months and it has been my favorite of the three that I have donated at here in utah county. With the occasional exception, wait times are usually not very long. The staff is always very attentive and kind. Specifically Sydney P and Sam H are fantastic workers, and the management here is lucky to have them. I plan to continue donating here as long as I am in the area, as it has been a great source of extra cash for me, and I always have a good experience here.
Staff is always super friendly and I am always in and out of the center very quick and efficiently!!
There is currently a big issue at this facility in terms sanitation practices. Phlebotomists touching their faces, pulling phones out their pockets with gloves on. No glove changes. No hand washes. I've written about this more than once in the ?comment box? at the site. I frankly see better glove changing and hand washing at the Taco Bell next door. The money has been so helpful and is why I keep coming back but I am honestly afraid of getting an infection one of these times?
Great Staff, the friendly smile, a kind word, they make you feel comfortable! Thanks
The staff is so friendly and professional! Always a great experience.
Love this place! Taylor is so friendly and a very skilled phlebotomist. I have never been infiltrated and the beds and facility are all very clean. Their system is also highly efficient. I also want to give the rest of the Tuesday and Thursday morning staff a shout-out. Ya'll are the best!
Robert, Logan, McKay, Connor, and Matt - I love these guys !! This place offers a lot of fun during the summer I can pay for and I've referred friends who could use some money ?? Great Bonuses , quick and manageable dynamic , apps access for donations and finances , as well as a friendly environment for questions and a little chat while donating ! Great stay and I love donating !
The staff here are so kind. They are good at starting conversations and helping you feel relaxed. I had Robert today and he was so friendly. The staff are also always so efficient!
I have been coming for years. I love how kind and friendly the staff are here!! For the most part, everyone treats you really well and takes care of your questions and concerns. Most are really good at not making you feel stupid. These reasons and the cleanliness of the center along with the awesome benefits and ability to give make the services here great!!
I've been coming here for 8 months now and I have no complaints. Not only has it smooth, but I get to make great money just to sit here and donate to a great cause. Plus one of the workers, Logan Hammer, is a hard worker and one of the greatest things to happen to this place!
I've generally had a positive experience here. Staff is friendly. I used to donate here, it isn't bad if you're a student looking to make extra cash. They pay you with a preloaded debit card. It's accepted in most places. You can withdraw it for a fee, generally I didn't. It's not a bad way to get extra cash while you study or are on your phone.
I have been donating at this location for a few months now. I have made friends with the employees and trust them to put a needle in my arm. Nate S especially does a great job
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
