My fianc? went there as a new donor. He did all the steps as a new donor and it took about an hour and a half to sit in the chair. As soon as he sat in the chair they denied him for an obvious scar on his arm. And said he can't come back until the SCAR clears up. He went through THREE people that looked at his arms and it wasn't until he waisted an hour and a half up there that they told him no in the chair. They basically yelled at him that he was denied. We called up there and they were extremely unprofes
First they reduce the payout for donations 5-10 dollars depending on your bracket then the remove the reward system and even though they said they wouldn't take our reward points they did. Very very poor business conduct. BioLife pays more and doesn't't change all their policies every 3 days
Tried going a few years ago. Wasn't able to donate because I didn't have all the documents in order. I am afraid of needles, but wanted to donate anyway. The person who took my documents didn't help and even showed me the needle, making me feel more uneasy. Everyone there did not seem like they enjoyed what they do and treated me super rudely
Years ago was differed for a false positive and put on a registry for life. I have medical documentation proving I do not have hepatitis. Still won't accept the doctors test and hospital test. Cost 1000s of dollars in medical debt for a scary false positive. Csl has not settled or reimbursed me for anything and basically say "too bad"
The lady at the end of the night was very rude and rushing me to keep pumping. Like I get it everyone trying to leave! And she kept hitting me the box! Like the last two workers that were the one to the right. The last time I came she did the same thing. Like I'm trying to pump
I really love this CSL plasma. Very amazing young ladies and woman there. They greet you with a smile, and continue to smile throughout the donation process. They know what they are doing and seem to like their job. They are a really awesome group of nurses . Very positive & upbeat! Probably one of my favorite centers. My husband and I have been to a couple hundred CSL plasma centers across the United States in the past 2 years. This one is definitely in my top 2. Going back again today! Get that plasma,
Nice ppl just can't donate cause anxiety but thay will let people on drugs and weed get in just fine.that was my last hope of money well it might be time to end this life
So I have been donating for quite a bit and they are honestly so ridiculous with their rules. I constantly get declined for the smallest thing. Then the workers there just talk all the time and make you wait forever to get through. Just to decline you! I will not be returning anymore due to the awful wait just to get declined. Plus some of the workers there have awful attitudes.
Horrible experience! I had sprayed body spray on me but was told I smelled and was offensive and asked to leave. It was humiliating! Then they wanted my Dr to fill out a medical form stating I didn't have diabetes. I rushed back to Anson and had my Dr state what I was being treated for and what prescriptions I take. They said it wasn't thorough enough! There's no pleasing these people! I was denied the ability to donate! I will never go there again!
They refuse to answer the phone. I drove from sweetwater to donate with the expectations to make it home with the gas money to get home with an additional $20. It would've helped me more than I can explain. Instead I get there to be told that I can't donate and now I'm stuck here with no way to get home and I'm truly in a situation that is going to make me miss work and have no way home. I'm the future it would be nice to have some type of notification or communication, to keep this from happening to other
Depending on who u get in check in, if your temp is .02 degrees over 99.5 they won't let u donate. Anytime I've ever been over in temp, I've always had a person ask me to sit in the waiting room for 5 min and then we would try 1 last time. This guy told me I couldn't donate at all today, and that every other person that allowed me to sit and let my temperature regulate was wrong. Mind you, it was 40 degrees outside and I had 2 coats on, of coarse I was a little hot! So I guess this review is a 1 star becaus
I feel blessed to meet then, they literally save my life in a very hard time for my life when it was so hard to find a job I god the blessed to be better thanks to then God blessed this team cause everyone is awesome and open to listen talk and I explain everything ??
Service is good but payout is getting worse it's surprising that the competition Biolife is paying more and csl doesn't compete might be time to move on
Good people been going here for years
Still dont pay enough when other plasma centers offer up to $1K a month. Edit to response (Extra star given since they actually responded) : I am glad that you will share it with the team. I understand that during the covid era, donations were down and to drive the donations up, more money was being offered due to the shortage of blood and plasma. However, that showed companies like yours could offer more than what they do. Companies that pay for blood or plasma CAN offer more and they target low income i
Disclosure: I haven't been here in a few years. During college I went on a regular basis and the staff and regulars were friendly. The staff knew me by name so it was a good atmosphere. It was a good mix of college students and locals. I don't remember the compensation structure. you got more the first 2 times (remember your id, SS card, and a piece of mail) and plan on the first time being 2 hours and 1 hour or so everytime after.
I was turned away my first time back even after calling and confirming it was ok to come in.. I told her my location and that I was a first time donor(lapsed)She even verified it w an other employee. After driving an hour one way when I arrived the lady at the counter said no.. My husband got turned away another time for something else due to being short handed.. Shouldnt be our problem.. Some of us drive a long way.Takes a long time usually. Definitely need more staff.
Equipment was dirty, building is in a bad part of town. I've already talked to four people in line telling me they have to wait 1-4 hours just to get acknowledged. The staff is reasonable, but the purpose was clear to stick as many people and give them $50 bucks. Many people, including employees had permanent arm damage from routine arm needles.
the staff have always been friendly since I started donating in 1997. unfortunately this new policy just started the last 2 weeks is the worst thing cal could have done. for the first time since 97 I may not be back after my 8th donation this month. now I stand for almost 2 hours untill I finally get called. used to be maybe 20 minutes. it was fast and convenient. not. now.
Got deferred for a day because my person who checks heart rate and takes the blood sample didn't know what she was doing. Otherwise okay when you are seeing staff that is properly trained.
I've been going to the CSL Plasma in Abilene for a while now and I've never had a bad time there the people are always so helpful and cheerful and to me that's important so people that's donating has a easier time donating when there relaxed
RUDE staff. If not rude to your face then they are talking about other donors behind their backs. Then if someone complains the entire situation is turned around so you are the one at fault. They ALL stick together in order to make sure it seems they are the victims and the donors are causing a problem. They do disrespect donors in all sort of manners both at front end area and back donor area.
Lines are way way tooo long!! Management needs to b putting enough ppl in all areas 2 in each is not enough and cuttin employees too soon! Managers should b helping also if needed and alot of times workers are conversating and taking theyr time i shouldnt b there for 3 or 4 hrs if i take 47 min to give plasma. Management needs more ppl to stick!
Great place if the right employees are there and someone really needs to Crack down on smokers by the front door. If you can't update your stuff like freezers yall gonna lose a lot of people to the new bioplasma place in town.
This is a place you can go to get quick money and help others in need. It usually only takes about an hour of your time after the initial "new donor" visit which took me maybe 2 hours at the most. But it all depends on what time you go. They do have peak hours where you could be waiting a while.
Although the staff is very nice the time it took both times I visited was way to long. Long waits for everything. Very slow moving place. But they sure do smile and are pleasant which is saying something. No time for donating regularly here though.
At times they are short staffed but not always... I consider this my third home away from home. I enjoy seeing the same friendly faces there!! TV.. Free wifi... Donation money!!! Monthly Incentives!!! What more could you want. Thank you CSL plasma. For your excellent customer service and smiling faces!! Tom!
If you want to get evaluated by an old lady that smells like a carton of cigarettes by 9 am this the place!! They don't know the value of time. .. So they take there's like we're not coming on our day off.. ..
this place is horrible and the staff is completely incompetent told me I can bring a bank statement in or mail that was post marked . that was the first time I drove all the way back to sweetwater and got my credentials in order what they told me to bring in . I came in again and was declined again . terrible service and very rude . people save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else .
Go to grifols! I had to move machines due to a malfunction so i wanted at the new machine while 3 other donors who came after me got stuck before they set me back up
Great service. Polite staff who saw me right away and were very helpful. And unlike Biolife, their equipment actually works!
I'm a frequent donor there, called Sunday morning said they'd be open till like 2 or 4, so I called round 1230 they said they was closed. I called back again asked if they was opened today, they said yes till 4. I get up at 10 when they said they'll open call and guess what, we are closed due to bad weather. It's sunny and drying up so I asked "why are yall closed again" ? "Some of our employees couldn't get here due to the roads" umm dude it's sunny and the roads are drying. More like some of them got w
Made me feel very comfortable. Very sweet workers and very caring environment. Long wait but it was definitely worth the wait.
I noticed one employee washing there hands in between pt care and entering the employees bathroom great concern not changing gloves or washing hands between pts and changing out dirty equipment and putting up new equipment not good at all!! My comment concern is not changing gloves or washing there hands is cross contamination wearing the same pair of gloves the entire time is putting everyone at risk for possible infection I had to ask the phlebotomist to please change her gloves and wash her hands it look
I went and the girl at the counter told me that I can't donate because my English is not fluent like blood speaks also very unprofessional, not even a good day.??
Very slow and unprofessional. Conversations between workers in front of donors are very unprofessional. Also they act like donors have no place to be. It shouldn't take that long. 2.5 hours makes it almost impossible for me to make time to donate.
I am unable to comment on my experience at this location in Abiline Texas the staff and the CSL director Mr. Paul Abraham. due to filing legal action against their actions They rate no stars. I will tell you to be very careful with their procedures and what they do to you and what they do when they are in error. Rod Crosser
I will never send my wife back there! She got jabbed, and nitpicked and pee poked by three different women who were very cold and rude when she asked for ANOTHER nurse they told her to switch arms and then practically SHANKED HER ORHER ARM WITH THE NEEDLE...
Don't know how to take blood pressure at all they check it and it's always wrong I go home and check it it's just fine don't waste you time find a better plasma center
I'm only giving it 2 stars because I came up here maybe 4 or 5 times the 2 times I came the staff was rude and I don't see why are you being rude if it's your job for one and people come to donate to help also for the money but we are helping others !!! But it's not everyone that's rude
They run these great promotions then cheat you out of actually getting the extra cash with misleading signs and under trained staff that will leave you bruised and in pain for days or longer and not able to donate. Very unhappy right now
If you've ever known anyone that suffers from some of the most debilitating diseases, you understand how important donating plasma is and what it's used for. The fact you get paid for it is soppy a bonus, I use it for my boys allowances and a little extra spending money. I donated blood regularly ever since I was old enough to, but plasma is something that not everyone can donate.
It was freezing in the booth I was in. I suggest bringing a sweater or blanket in case you get cold. Also I think they should not make the chairs so comfortable that you fall asleep.
It saids on Sunday that they are still open even though it is close you all need to update y'all web site
Horrible management! Employees are rude and more concerned about talking to eachother than paying attention, long waits, and you are grossly underpaid!!
Lady's up front are very rude. She was talking to the other lady's messed up my temperature now I couldn't donate like I have Time to go back. I won't be going back anymore.
Awesome service great people. Really cool place to great employes and. Great. Clean and very very nice place I rate it at ten Stars it awosme and I will go back. It cool cause it helps people who are sick the plazma does
Helping people by giving plasma, and getting paid for your time? Sounds like a good transaction. Long lines will build up quickly, so get there early.
I would give zero stars, if I could. They would not allow my service dog in with me. I have the ADA investigating them.
They DON?T tell you your blood type
I called told them they bruised my arm and asked if it would be ok drove here on no gas and was told i couldn't im from sweetwater this place is really srupid stuck here3 days
My has always been great when I would go I went all the time since I was 18 they r very nice
Staff members are very helpful and assist you in the most professional way as possible!
They say they pay one thing based on your last 35 days but if u miss any days in between you get stuck at 4 dollars lower and whenever you try to get help on see why you don't go up all u get is we'll see what we can do
It's stupid you get money from donating but then they charge you for everything u do you get charged if you call to see how much you have left...it's stupid they say you get 20$ but really your getting 10$ cause they charge you to use the card.
They treat me like a celebrity I always feel welcome there
Great job the staff are doing!! Keep up the good work.
Worse than the DMV. NO URGENCY. NO RESPECT for patrons time AT ALL
Trash! Had me sitting for 30mins before helping me when my machine was beeping! Done with them!
Customer Service is great! Clean and quick.
Very friendly and helpful I will go back.
Friendly Environment & High Quality Staff!
What happened to the forty dollars on second donation..?
Staff is very helpful.
Jamie and team rocks
Extra money for a little time, and plasma.
Always professional.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
